【Graduation Work- 卒業制作】  pop!! colorful!! kawaii!! happy!! !! !!

テキスタイルは私たちの日常生活の中で溢れている。カーテン、テーブルクロス、壁紙、床材。それらは1つの用途として��在している。日常でよく見られるテキスタイルをファッションアイテムへと変身させ、1つ2役のテキスタイルを考案した。普段着る服とは違って日常生活にあるものから展開した服になることで、ユニークで独特のシルエットを生む。

Textiles are overflowing in our daily lives. For example, curtains, tablecloth, wallpaper, flooring. They exist for one purpose. By transforming textiles that are common in everyday life into fashion items, I devised textiles that play 2 roles. Unlike everyday clothes, clothes using textiles from everyday life create a unique silhouette.

hey just want you to know that I haven't finished or really even worked on any sewing projects for like a year, and saw a rb of your post abt monpe, and decided hey. I can do this. A few hours, three sticky notes, 5 colouring pencils (+ one normal pencil), some scrap paper, scissors, and 8"x6" of scrap fabric later, I Understand monpe and am going to make a proper human size pair tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder that sewing is fun!!!

If you enjoy monpe, I recommend checking out kimono sewing or more sewing projects that work in the same way. i personally love adapting the cutting guides from here to fit myself and others:

I started sewing kimono, monpe, and other garments utilizing Japanese sewing methods after graduating with an Asian Studies degree and only being able to become a bridal seamstress at David's Bridal as a job. I was so overworked that I burnt out and didn't sew for almost 2 years. Every time I thought about cutting a pattern, I felt horrible, so I took patterns out of the equation and sewed stuff like monpe.

I hope it is as rewarding for you as it has been for me!
