Silvyr Art Dump - Extended lore for them and their Domain below the cut.

Diplomat of Volica and Advisor to the Usurper King, Silvyr is a former captain who aided the current King in dethroning the previous royals and banishing the corrupt council/nobles. They were the strategeist behind the coup.

With the previous council gone, and subsequent shortage of expertise, they duel wield roles to keep the Domain running. Sharp in mind and calculative by nature, they leave nothing to chance.

Volica is currently experiencing a food shortage due to over harvesting of nearby reefs by the former nobles & council, who were exporting all their food for profit. They are thus pursuing trade negotions to secure more food.

The Domain itself is located on a cliff that borders the ocean. With a dormant underwater volcano somewhat nearby to mine from, their Domain is rich in minerals and metallic ores commonly used in the production of weapons/accessories.

Volcano ---> Volica (Domain name is derived from the nearby Volcano, their most valuable resource, and the reason for the Domain's existence, as it was founded by a small group of zoran miners! Mining is the largest profession in the Domain, and is integral to their livelihood. They love that fckin volcano so much.)

History:

The former Lead Captain and strategist of Volica's royal zoran knights and warrior faction. On the battlefield they were a force to be reckoned with, fighting exclusively with ice magic.

With fighting occupations being the least favored in the Domain in terms of enrollment, and the Domain itself in a difficult location to guard (cliff face), Silvyr made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure they could protect their home from land based monster attacks (see Silvyr's Chosen Giant - Lifespan sacrifice).

This resulted in them feeling especially slighted when the zora of Volica began to suffer beneath the corrupt royals/nobles. Nyvor's sentence, Thresh's departure (both of whom were close friends), and the lack of improvement after the corrupt noble was slain (who was initially thought to be the source of the problem), brewed such contempt within Silvyr's heart they began planning the coup.

Ice Magic (Origins):

Silvyr descends from a long line of prideful water magic users. Yet unlike their predecessors, Silvyr struggled during their youth with their abilities. Ever flowing, always changing, the flexibility of understanding required to control water was something Silvyr lacked. This came as a devastating blow to their family.

Yet determined to succeed, they endlessly practiced, pushing themselves to their utmost limits. In an attempt to make the water more structured, they began to fix it in place, unknowingly all the way down to the molecular level, until suddenly, it turned to ice. Thus unlocking ice magic.

Silvyr's Ice magic abilities are dampened when in water, which is why they feel better in underwater environments!

Volica & The Termania Giants:

Many in Volica worship the Giants of Termania. Though Termania is located in a parallel world (per Majora's Mask lore), it is said you can contact the giants during sleep, when the veils between realms are the thinnest. If you sacrifice something of yourself, the giant may grant you amplified abilities. The origins of who brought the legend of the giants to Volica, and the zora who established first contact, is unknown.

Silvyr's Chosen Giant:

Silvyr is favored by the Goron Giant. To protect their Domain, they self sacrificed 100 years of their lifespan to the Giant in exchange for an insane magic amplification.

Side Effects:

Excessive use of powerful ice magic may result in adverse side effects, contact your healer if you experience any of the following: Migraines, muscle aches, lowered body temperature, inability to regulate said body temperature, low sanity episodes, lock jaw, fin cracks, excessive consumption of spicy foods, dizziness, shortened life span, chills-

Nowadays, due to the above side effects, Silvyr only uses ice magic during times of need or for petty retributions (such as freezing the feet of someone that pissed them off to the ground, worth the subsequent headache).

Hand Symbols:

Started using hand symbols during their youth while wielding ice cause they thought it looked cool. Now it genuinely helps them concentrate and they're super embarrassed about it.

Voted Best Cuddler in Volica:

Due to their lowered body temperature Silvyr feels perpetually cold when on land, and (to a lesser degree) in water. As a result they can ALWAYS be found cuddling other zora(s) for warmth while sleeping. Everyone in the Domain loves it, no complaints.

When around strangers, Silvyr will initiate contact with a gentle touch to the arm, silently requesting the others companionship. If accepted, that zora WILL be cuddled till morning.

Additional Facts:

-Overheated zoras fresh from the volcanic mines often seek Silvyr out for a hug cause they feel so cold to the touch. Results in a dog pile (fish pile?) sometimes.

-LOVES spicy food. Will straight up eat a bag of RAW ghost peppers and be completely unbothered.

-Commonly seen wearing a fur lined cloak for warmth when on land.

-Doesn't overly emote unless exasperated, stressed, or during low sanity episodes. Zoras in Volica have an ongoing scoreboard of who has gotten Silvyr to smile the most. Thresh is currently leading (and is very smug about it).

Ravio knew better than to ask for much during a storm. They had a system, after all. An understanding. Ravio never showed any skin beyond his hands, and he compulsively counted his rupees at the end of every day—terrified that somehow, inexplicably, he might suddenly be without, might suddenly go without, and if he had a tendency to overeat sometimes? Well, Link never said a word. Not ever. Not even when Ravio ate all their fresh fruit in one sitting, or when he hoarded Link’s favorite pickle-flavored chips simply because the plastic crackle of the bag felt so reassuring beneath his hands. Not even then. 

So this? This was an oddity. A deviation. But Ravio thought the circumstances might warrant it. He hoped he wasn’t wrong. “Mister Hero?” he murmured, tapping lightly on Link’s bedroom door. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and Ravio winced as he tapped again. “Ah, Link? There’s something…” He took a deep breath, near-queasy with his guilt. “There’s something on the shore. Someone.”

Nearly a minute passed before Link opened his door. The dark lines beneath his eyes made him look ghastly. “What do you mean?”

Ravio licked his lips. “I’m so sorry, I know this isn’t—”

“What do you mean?” Link asked again. 

“There’s a person on the beach. Or maybe… a monster? I’m not sure, it’s too far away. All I could see for sure was a body and a flash of red.”

Link flinched, but he crowded into Ravio’s space the very next moment. “Where? Which direction?”

“East, past that old driftwood,” Ravio began, jumping when Link suddenly ran past him and out the door. Link never even glanced at the sword propped up against his favorite chair (the one he sometimes sat in for hours at a time, silent and unseeing, looking for all the world like he was trapped in life’s trenches with no idea how to claw his way back to the surface). Ravio picked the sword up just in case before he chased after Link. He hoped none of this was a mistake. 

By the time he managed to catch up, the thing on the shore was moving. Twitching, to be precise, but it freaked Ravio out all the same. “W-what the hell is it?”

Link dropped to his knees beside the creature. He didn’t answer. 

“Seriously,” Ravio continued nervously, holding Link’s sword closer to his chest. “It looks like a Zora, if a Zora sold its soul. Is this some kind of mutant? I’ve never seen a Zora in the ocean before, but…” He paused, grimacing at the blood seeping between the creature’s weakly fluttering, skin-like gills. It didn’t look very alive. “What is it?” 

Slowly, hesitantly, Link reached out to the creature’s small hand. He brushed his fingers along blue-tinged skin, then took its hand in both of his. “What have they done?” he whispered. Almost as if in response, thunder boomed across the shore. 

“Who?” Ravio asked nervously. “Link? Who? What is this?”

Link swallowed audibly. “I thought… I had hoped… Marin,” he whispered. “But this is so much worse.” 

The creature gasped in a loud, wheezing breath. Its eyelids fluttered. “You’re… sage?” it asked weakly. 

The sound Link made was wounded and horrible. Ravio hoped he never had to hear it again. “No,” Link told the creature quietly. “I’m not a sage. You’re just… You’re recognizing the Triforce.” He squeezed the creature’s hand, then reached forward to stroke its thin blonde hair. “Sleep. I don’t know who you are, but… I’ll help you. You’re safe. Sleep.”

“Safe?” the creature asked, sounding so much like a child. 

“Yes,” Link whispered sadly. “I swear.”

Ravio glanced between them, wondering why it suddenly felt like his life had a timer, why the seconds inched past under imaginary duress.

Lightning flared in the distance. For once, Link didn’t seem to notice.

Yuno Grinberryall

{So your ex shows up at the golden dawn base to ask you for help with his parents. And although reluctantly, you agreed to help a little because his parents treated you so well when you both were together.}

Yuno is extremely quiet all of a sudden. Eerily quiet. Plotting-someone's-death kinda quiet.

It was obvious the scumbag could settle his family shit on his own but he's just pulling on loose strings trying to get you back.

How could he ever hold a candle to Yuno? Yuno was a humble man but even he himself knew it; your ex could never compare to him.

But there was an eenie weeny part of him that asked: what if?

What if as you spent time together again and with his parents, you miss the old times? Or you realised he's not that bad after all? or worst, fall in love with him again?

When you came home, he'd still didn't talk much. he didn't know what to say either. He didn't want to ask how was your day because he doesn't want to know how you spent it with him.

He didn't want to ask why do you even do all these because he doesn't want to make you feel bad. he knew you did it because you were kind and you don't forget people that were once kind to you.

He loved you for you, so instead, he chose to keep quiet and pull you closer whenever you came home, hugging you close to his chest, nuzzling into your hair, to remind him that you're his. All his.

At some point you know you're hurting his feelings by being close with your ex again, so you reassure him again and again, that once the matter is resolved, you'll cut all contact with your ex.

Well, he obviously did not win because he then angered Captain Yami because Yami had to waste his time on a minor issue.

Luck finally understood what your ex was getting at and he then showed no mercy to your ex.

"so... you complaint that I injured you on purpose? Maybe let me show you what is on purpose..." he had a smile on his face when he said it, and it was hella scary.

Luck was on his tail for a good month, teasing him, pranking on him, chasing after him EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Luck was so fast, you didn't even know what happened but in the blink of an eye, your ex was sprawled on the floor. If your ex was headed somewhere, you bet Luck would bring him all the way back to the start point just as he was about to reach his destination.

i’m making this a drive-thru AU, because working for the ‘Siren’ for the past 3 1/2 years has taught me some things. i’m also combining all of these into one, because they’re short enough to fit in one post. so, let’s all pretend that Hyrule has a drive-thru restaurant (or a specific café chain) for like 10 minutes max.

you’ve pulled up to the speaker

“Hi, I would like…?”

you turn to Sidon

“What would you like?”

and he tells you

“And my husband would like…?”

‘Husband?’

they tell you the total 

and you’re waiting to pull up to the window

and you turn to Bazz

and you’re laughing way too hard now

you get to the window

and you calm yourself as best as you can

“I am soooo sorry. I referred to him as my husband. He is not my husband. He is THE Passenger Princess, and he wanted me to correct myself for you.”

and he is smiling

“That would be correct! Thank you!!”

the person in the window is DYING with laughter

you’ve got your transaction done and you’ve got your items

My scug, Dandy! They can piggyback two slugpups and carry one in their mouth to hold babies and keep their hands free :D They'd start their campaign with one pup (that pup being Metal Pipe, the little grey/black one) and have increased pup spawn rates. She's also able to tame lantern mice, centipedes, and jetfish! And finally her spots and antennae glow in the dark, essentially giving the effect of eating a neuron fly without having to go get one. They would also be unable to ascend due to their title/role as a parent to abandoned slugpups; I like to think their campaign's ending would be similar to the slugtree ending Monk and Survivor have.
