OK, prediction for Gem's base:

She says she's building mega, but wants to focus on detail and that she's dressed as a pirate despite building the fishing boat from Dredge, I think her base is going to be a harbour with multiple different kinds of boats, being overall large in size but being comprised of individual boats that are filled with detail

Also, considering what Dredge is there's going to be some weird eldritch stuff going on

Day 19, Au/Crossover

I absolutely adore @squidthesquidd ’s SU submas Au. The oynx twins are cute n’ small and fluffy and full gremlin energy, I love them and if someone hurts them I will throw hands/jk This is the image that popped in my head near the end of chapter 2 of the fic ( which is a very good read can’t wait for chapter 5) when they were essentially leaning on each other because the got so excited at the prospect of choosing their own names and being their own gems that don’t have to live in fear. The whole scene is just fluffy and adorable if you haven’t read it you should!!

I'm assuming only Mikey likes to eat human food? Does he cook and make his brothers try his concoctions out?

Absolutely, Mikey adores anything involving humans. Especially human foods. He tries his hardest to get his brothers to try his cooking but they ��are not as interested in human food as he is.

Leo and Splinter will enjoy a cup of tea from time to time, but nothing more.

Raph eats junk food every now and then if he’s bored, but refuses to try Mikey’s concoctions.

And Donnie is absolutely repulsed by food and drinks. Refuses to even touch it with his hands.

April though…she adores trying most of Mikey’s creations. Even the bad ones, she just enjoys trying new things as she’s new to Earth food.

April doesn’t remember that she’s from a Human Zoo in space,,, but she faintly remembers purple fruit.

the idea that the human zoo in steven universe was 'supposed to be bad' makes it ok is just wrong. It still portrays the zoo with innocence and comedy and as if the humans could be happy there which is far far far too light for the actual atrocity of real world human zoos.

SU has portrayed multiple things with varying levels of horror, and compare the reaction to seeing forced fusion to the reaction upon seeing a human zoo. Isn't one of those things sheer terror in the characters and the other general discomfort? Doesn't one get across the visceral pain of the situation and the other not? Isn't the less horrifying event in the show the one that happened in the real world in our own country?

the fact that non-crystal gems misgender steven initially and some continue to (at least at first) doesn’t confuse me. The fact that nobody ever explains to gems what gender is does confuse me. They usually just… get it? Steven’s a he/him and also he/hims exist.
