another point to byler that i think is not talked about enough is the difference in how will and el love mike. will treats mike like the love of his life and el treats him like he's her first boyfriend

They actually took the BEST male love interest in all of the Bridgerton universe and made him into a woman destroying both his and Francesca's characters and arcs going forward.... Like I'm sorry but the gender roles Michael and Francesca have are integral to their story... The infertility, Michael inheriting all of John's estate and title....and the guilt that comes with it. They even give him John's old clothes to wear

mlvns are funny when they say if mike is gay, he’d be into lucas. it’s transparent as fuck bc they know wheelclair has no chance of happening, not only bc mike and lucas don’t have that kind of relationship (like mike and will), they’re tokenising lucas. they don’t think mike is gay but IF he was, he’d be into the sporty black guy (they tend to see caleb, not lucas. likewise w/ finn = mike), and not the nerdy lil f@g (aka noah the ‘genocidal maniac’ who happens to be gay and jewish). look at me rooting for a gay, interracial relationship even though the thought of mike being queer makes me throw up 🤪🤪🤪

dustin is never taken into consideration either btw. the same mlvns who say bylers (as if it’s only bylers) shipping henderhop only ship them bc it keeps el away from mike and will. don’t see how that’s any different to you shipping mike with lucas if you ignored your homophobia for one second.

it’s easy to say you ship wheelclair because you know they’re not an actual threat to mlvn. byler is. and anti byler (and anti will byers) sentiments went up several notches when will’s homosexuality became a canon fact. you’re threatened by byler and the end of mlvn, but you’d be all for wheelclair when it means lucas and max will break up too, not just mike and el? oh, i’m sure.

also, the whole ‘mike and lucas have actual chemistry, there’s nothing between mike and will’ excuse is bullshit. you ship mike and el. i don’t think you recognise chemistry, only the conventionally attractive people you tend to ship together irl, or enjoy their dynamic in the case of finn and caleb.
