I've been watching a lot of Sims 4 content on YouTube lately, and I started exploring save files. I quickly discovered that there's far from an abundance of Base Game friendly save files that contain Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, and Newcrest.

Almost all of the saves I found aren't Base Game friendly or even limited pack, and the ones that are tended to be quite old, before infants were added as a life stage in 2023. A save file missing an entire life stage wouldn't be the greatest to play in, at least not in my opinion.

I decided to start an up to date Base Game save file of my own! I doubt I'll do all the lots myself and will probably draw on the gallery if I find lots that fit what I'm looking for, but the first lot I did do from scratch. It's actually my first ever full build. The closest I've previously done is furnishing a shell.

Elders are very under represented in my opinion, and I wanted to do a retirement home for 8 elders to start the save file. The retirement home has 6 bedrooms with 4 single beds and 2 double beds and each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom with 2 additional half baths. It was built on the Oakenstead lot in Willow Creek.

In order to use tray files, just download the zip and place the files inside in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Tray folder.

Base Game CAS Hiders Update for Cozy Celebrations Event

Hi, I updated my Base Game CAS hiders up through the Cozy Celebrations Event patch! This includes every item from the event, even the ones that haven't been unlocked yet.

CAS hiders remove the items in CAS from view when you're dressing up your Sims, and they also won't be generated on any new townies.

The CAS hiders include every category in CAS -- clothing, hair, makeup, skin details, tattoos, and teeth.

The CAS hiders share the item names from Sims 4 Studio and can easily be removed from the organized folders.

The Base Game hiders are current through the Cozy Celebrations Event update, and I plan to continue updating them as new content is released.

What are custom styled looks?

Styled looks are a section in Create A Sim (CAS) that allow you to choose a look for your Sim containing the same items in different color swatches. As you can see, the EA default styled looks are...interesting.

The styled looks that appear when you're dressing up your Sim are sorted by gender and age group -- for example, you wouldn't see the same custom styled looks for an elder female and teen male.

I'm creating these custom looks primarily in the base game because the base game is now free, so anyone can play it, and other Simmers have created a lot of content I love to use in my game.

Why would you want my new custom styled looks in your game? It's very easy to dress up townies or other Sims in reasonable outfits when you don't feel like spending 20 minutes in CAS!

I would like to thank MizoreYukii for the tutorial that allowed me to learn how to make the custom styled looks myself, and I highly suggest downloading her EA default styled looks hider.
