I forgot to actually post this at the time, but this was my piece for the Gravity Falls 10 Years Later zine. After posting my Hunkles Calendar piece I figured I might as well remember to post this as well 😂. This one was a challenge with the setting I wanted and the colours and the atmosphere I was trying to create, but I think it turned out pretty good!

wooooooo yeah i’m finally gonna start posting character refs for my au here!! my au is based on one of the theories i had about BotW back before release, specifically about when we saw Link waking up in the Shrine of Resurrection, but didn’t have any other context than “he woke up with no memories” at the time.

On making a living as an artist

In a world where art and other creative pursuits should be an inspiring, honest and a direct reflection of our society, it is truly disheartening to realize that most mainstream artists come from some place of privilege. Whether it be racial, financial, social, or geographic, artists succeed not just from their skill alone, but from having the privilege to make enough sacrifices to pursue art as a full-time job. Even when you do find the right representation, it may feel as though you must sacrifice your independence and your voice as a trade for financial security. This can make you feel like you're alone, or just another piece in a system designed to exploit you for capitalistic gain. Now, now, sweet artist. I know you may feel quite depressed after reading all this. It's hard not to. Part of these frustrations are why I'm here writing this in the first place : because I believe that these systems must change and our approaches to financial stability as artists must be more transparent. I believe positive change comes from the transparency to know what it is that needs to change. For too long, our culture has resisted a more public conversation about personal finances. In many ways, this has enabled us to become a society that's content to embrace the outdated trope of the starving artist. Let's change that.

my copy of ad oblivione has arrived! <3 it’s pretty cool having the physical copy of a zine (I’ve pre-ordered a few others but they’re still in production) especially with my work in there ehe <3 and to think that this year will allow me more opportunities to marvel at the physical manifestations of my work with other talented creators!

I’ll always remember this as my first experience because of how tumultuous it was. it showed me a lot of what happens behind-the-scenes and the hiccups that could happen along the way. as I’m still living out my fandom participation, I hope to accumulate a few more experiences under my belt...for novel purposes x3

almost two years after the project wrapped i remembered i never posted my piece from @turnabout-cinema, which was a film review of turnabout trump. much love and gratitude to @mintaii for sending me the high quality jpgs featuring her graphic design genius and the lovely gorgeous artistic stylings of @margalcazo / @letsgomargaux <3

by absolute pure coincidence, i was thinking about this zine this morning and then opened up investigations 2 to discover that the final case (the grand turnabout in the fan translation) has been localised as turnabout for the ages. hee hoo! hee hee hooo!

SURPRISE another post! The OK came down from @treasure-planet-zine to be able to publicly post art that we all did for it. Super proud with how this turned out, and seeing it printed was so exciting I almost never make things that are made to be printed out lol. John Silver my beloved 😩❤️

ANYWAYS! Improvised comic sequence based on an old prompt conversation of these two from a draft of months ago. I never touched it because it was for my Merfolk!AU but after chitchats about this pairing in a discord server I said WHY NOT just do it, Windy LOL.

And here we are. I hope I made someone laugh because I finished this at 4 am but it was worth it X'D. YOU ALL ARE WELCOME!

EDIT: It has a continuation [NOW] ! It's more emotional than comical.

BONUS under the cut! Solo Prowl because HE IS CRIMINALLY HANDSOME FOR A ROBOT WHAT THE HELL. I can't blame Bulkhead for losing a pencil in this way.
