Tis the season to say YES to reusables and “no thank you” to disposables! . Holidays involve a lot of large gatherings. *Looks at calendar, sees Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, and holiday parties four weeks in a row* 🙃 When hosting a large dinner, there’s a potential for creating A LOT of trash! But it doesn’t have to be that way. From planet-lover to planet-lover, we’re here to remind you that the convenience of single-use plastics are not worth the lasting negative impact it leaves on our environment. . To avoid the post-holiday trash guilt. Here’s a few tips for zero-waste holiday: 🌱 Hosting? Easy! Use your everyday dishes, silverware, and cups for your large meals. If you don’t have enough for everyone, tell your guests to bring their own! Nothin’ wrong with a lil BYOD (bring your own dish should be a thing) 🌱 Not hosting? Offer to bring the non-disposable plates, utensils, and cups! Bringing secondhand dinnerware from the thrift store will be a better alternative to plastic forks & paper plates. After using, you can save for the next occasion! Be the guy who brings dishes to the party! 🌱 Encourage your family & friends not to use single-use, opting for regular dishes, silverware, and glasses instead! Offer to be the person to wash the dishes, it’ll be hard for anyone to deny that offer 😉 .
