Just Sibling Things - Vinsmoke Edition (side of ZeffSora and ZoSan)

Just some headcanons in a Modern AU where the Vinsmokes are a regular family trying to live together under one roof. Most of these are drawn from my experience as the eldest sister with three younger siblings lol

Some important notes:

Judge and Sora are divorced, and Sora won custody over the kids. Later on, Sanji would work part time at the Baratie and introduce Sora to Zeff, and the two of them fall in love. Zeff becomes their new dad :3

All the kids sans Yonji are working. They wanted to give their mom a good life so she wouldn't have to work a day in her life. Here are my headcanon jobs for them:

Reiju works as a chemist with a specialization in poison. Ichiji is upper management in some tech company and Niji works as a sort of electrical engineer for them. Sanji is still a sous chef at the Baratie. Yonji is bouncing between part time hustles, he's still figuring himself out.

On to the headcanons!

Sanji is the early bird of the family and often cooks breakfast for the rest of them. Ichiji is the chronic workaholic night owl. They scare each other from time to time, when Sanji is going downstairs to cook, and Ichiji is heading up to sleep. Sanji worries about Ichiji a lot, so Ichiji allows himself to be fussed over and fed breakfast before sleeping.

Reiju is known as the pretty, levelheaded sister compared to her hotheaded brothers. She prefers avoiding conflict while her brothers often start them. The only exception is when her brothers are put in any danger. One time, she came to pick up Niji from the bar and found him on the losing end of a bar fight. Reiju picked up a chair and started swinging. Nobody hurts her little brothers 😤

Sanji bakes his brothers a cake for practice, but instead of eating it right away, Ichiji, Niji, and Yonji fight about splitting it evenly three ways. Ichiji busts out a ruler to slice the cake perfectly in three, but Niji wants to rock paper scissors, and Yonji wants to fistfight over it. In the end, Sanji slices it for them perfectly and receives zero complaints.

But then he serves drinks. "yonji has more juice than me" "oh for fuck's sake"

Yonji is the type of brother who'd barge into your room, stand at your door, and stare at you before suddenly bodyslamming you on your bed. Reiju is the frequent victim. It gets worse when he picks up judo and decides to use the rest of them as training dummies. Sanji is the only one who's figured out how to counter him, but even then Yonji can pick him up cleanly.

Sanji is Zeff's favorite child. Don't tell the others.

One time, Niji dropped by the Baratie for lunch and kept bothering Sanji. He ended up accidentally smacking Sanji too hard, and Sanji started crying. Niji panicked and begged Sanji to shut up. "I'll let you hit me back! Just shut up!" He resorted to bribery too, but it's too late. Zeff heard Sanji crying and is on a warpath.

Speaking of parents on a warpath, Reiju has never been more terrified of Sora than when she accidentally said 'shit' and a toddler!Ichiji repeated what she said.

They generally don't give a shit about each other's romantic lives until Sanji started dating Zoro, and suddenly they have very strong opinions over Sanji's standards in men. (Zeff and Ichiji bond over their mutual dislike of Zoro and they can be seen glaring daggers at him whenever he visits Sanji.)

If they ask nicely, Reiju is always more than willing to spoil her little brothers. They often have to pay her back in favors, though (minus Sanji, who is her secret favorites).

Yonji often feels insecure about his career compared to his successful sublings, but they’re all very supportive of him. A traditional 9-5 isn't suited for their baby brother, and they’re not going to force him into it.

Ichiji is very protective of his sister and baby brothers. He used to stand in front of them to shield them from Judge when things got bad. He doesn't do it as often nowadays since they left, but sometimes Sanji would unconsciously grab Ichiji's hand when he's nervous, and Ichiji would just squeeze Sanji's hand.

They work very well together! It's mostly seen during Mothers Day and Father's Day. Sanji cooks breakfast in bed, Niji makes coffee, Reiju buys flowers, Ichiji, and Yonji plan a day out for the family.

The quadruplet's have two birthday parties. One that's celebrated with their respective friend groups, and one with the family at the Baratie. Zeff has perfected the art of combining four preferences into one menu. (Also, Sanji has to be held back from helping cook his own birthday meal.)

Sometimes, when Ichiji's insomnia is bad, the rest of the siblings take the next day off and just stay up with him. They just talk and eat snacks, waiting for Ichiji's eyes to droop so Yonji can carry him to bed.

Zeff was Sora's big brother, maybe 5 or 6 years older, and he already was a pirate when Judge married Sora. He never liked the man, but if his dear sister was happy then okay.

After Sora's first pregnancy, things start to be... weird. They couldn't have much contact but still had. Things go this way during 3 years, until his sister's second pregnancy. When she's almost giving birth to the quadruplets, Zeff discovers the truth about Judge and his plans, and to poison. He gets mad, and says he will take Sora and her kids out of Germa.

But Judge discovers he knows. And makes the siblings lose contact. Zeff looks for his sister, but don't find her. He tries to move on, without know Sora give birth and her third son between the quadruplets, Sanji, is the only one who isn't a machine.

He lives with guilty for never being able to save Sora and the kids. Until 6 years later, when he receives a letter, a letter from Sora. In the letter, she tells every single thing, the fact she will die soon because of the poison, maybe less than a month after she writes the letter (Zeff is devastated after he looks the day she write this and is from months ago, Sora is dead now, this is the painfull truth). She tells about her quadruplets, the sad but hopeful fact that the poison worked, even if with only one of them.

She asks Zeff to take her boy, Sanji - the only one who isn't a machine, who has feelings and a pure heart, who funnily enough look like her - with him. Because Sora may have begged Judge to not do anything with him, but she knows the moment she will stop breathing Judge will try something. And his brothers. She tells what her other kids do with Sanji and how guilty herself feels for not being able to do anything to stop them. Sora, maybe so her big brother and her precious baby have a last picture from her, sends with the letter the last picture she and Sanji took together.

And Zeff goes to the North Blue to save the brat, he knows that there's chances Judge already did something, but if not he can still save the boy. He takes a year and half looking for Germa, and he knows Sanji probaly is almost 8 now.

When he finds Germa, he disguises himself and looks for the boy. Until he finds the kid. In a dunsheon with a helmet in his head. Anger boils inside him, and even if he wants to look for the bastard and kill him, taking the blonde out of this hell is the first thing he should do.

And he does it. He takes Sanji out without anyone noticing and makes it seems like Sanji run away himself and fell into the sea. When both are far from Germa, Sanji without the helmet, his wounds treated the best Zeff can do and eating, Zeff start to talk, thinking about telling he is the boy's uncle, until Sanji says:

"You're mom's big brother, right? She used to talk about you"

After this, they talk, Zeff says he knows what Sanji had been through and shows the letter with the photo. And yes, the kid is traumatized, but during the time he is with the man he feels... safe, safe enough to tell about the dunsheon.

Then, both are in the East Blue again (without the rock happening, thank you) and Zeff has a decision. He says that he will stop being the captain of the Cook Pirates and he will start his dream of the Baratie, he has enough money alreafy. And anyone who wants to stay with him can stay.

Between the crew, the only two who stay with Zeff are Patty and Carne, since they were the first crewmembers and knew about the letter and why Zeff go to the North Blue. And then they start the restaurant.

When the Baratie is oficially open, more than half a year after, with Sanji having 9, Zeff gifts the photo of the boy and Sora so the kid can put it in his bedroom. Garp comes to visit some time after, meeting his lover's "child". Zeff tells about the Germa thing and Garp ends up being the third person to know.

Some weeks later, Garp visits again with a idea, he can bring his grandsons! The boy needs friends, right? And his grandkids need some good time after all the thing that happened and his son bring Sabo back! Zeff knows it's a horrible idea but he can give a chance.

At the end, Sanji and the ASL brothers are playing happy outside the Baratie. Garp is saying he knows it would work.

Time pass and it's obvious how these 3 boys have a crush on Sanji. And the blonde may be his cousin but he feels like he is his son. But he knows the best he can do is give ASL a shovel talk.

Ace, Sabo and Luffy end up dating Sanji either way.

OW OKAY DAMN.

So Zeff and Sora have to be like 2/3rds of a set of siblings at least, Zeff abdicated the throne to become a pirate and go look for the All Blue. Sora was married off to Judge in an attempt to keep peace for their kingdom and as much as Zeff objects because that's his little sister, he abdicated. He has no ground to stand on technically. Sora is married off and they keep in contact through letters at the start. But then the letters start dwindling. When Zeff finds out the letters stop entirely and he's not exactly equipped to go hunt Germa down, so he tries to move on, to grieve as any big brother and pirate would. He knows he has a niece and four other niblings out there somewhere, suffering.

Then he receives one more letter from Sora, asking him to come take one of her sons, the only human of her children and that she'll be dead by the time he gets the letter. So he goes to collect the boy because by Davey Jones he will fulfill his sister's dying wish. He reads the letter over and over and imparts every little bit of information about the quadruplets, his nephews, and the elder niece he has into his brain permanently. How much love and care his sister tried to impart on them all but it only worked on his niece and the third quad, Sanji. Zeff lives with the guilt of being unable to save his sister but he gets there eventually, far too long for his and his crew's liking but they get there he disguises himself as a cook and starts working his way to the boy. It takes some time as well but eventually he gets information about where the boy is.

The dungeon. The boy is in the dungeon. Zeff has fury as he goes and finds the dungeon and the boy. The metal helmet too big for his body which is far too small for what the boy should be. Those blue eyes are unmistakable though, those are Sora's eyes.

"You're Uncle Zeff, right? My mom's brother?" The boy asks quietly as he stares at the tall man in front of him, the only thing separating them the metal bars.

"Aye, we're gonna get you outta here, Eggplant." Zeff nods and rips the doors off (COOKS ARE BUILT). Zeff gets him out and to the boat. The crew is looking at the small thing in Zeff's arms as he gives orders to sail away and get as far from Germa as possible. To have cannons ready in case worse comes to worse. They're sat with an engineer trying to pick the lock on the helmet while the doctor is treating Sanji and Zeff is telling the kid about his time as a pirate to keep the kid's mind elsewhere than what's going on with him at the moment. The kid however just looks empty as this is all going on, it's heart breaking. No one really knows what to do so Zeff tells his crew they're headed to the East Blue and Zeff is going to retire to take care of the kid, open a restaurant, settle down. It's Garp's home blue after all so he'll be able to see his boyfriend and give the kid more stability than the dungeon and Germa. He gives his crew the option of coming with him to open the restaurant or to go find new crews to join. The crew members make their decision, most leaving in Loguetown, Patty and Carne sticking with them as they go sell their ship in order to build the Baratie and get opening. Patty and Carne try to get Sanji to play but the idea scares the shit out of the kid for some reason they don't entirely know. Doesn't matter, they'll work on it. Sanji is trying to best his cook and keep up with them but when he can't and he seizes up and cries they try to calm him down and assure it's okay, he is learning, Sanji says something about how he's still a failure. They of course shut that down, Zeff especially because his sister didn't give birth to a failure, dammit! He's going to kill Judge!

When Baratie opens Zeff introduces Garp to his nephew Sanji. Garp is huge and towering like Judge and Sanji is trying to be brave and Garp mentions he has three grandsons on Dawn Island and Zeff tries to cut that train of thought off but he's gone before Zeff can stop him. Sanji is confused about what's going on Zeff and Patty and Carne grumble about the Vice Admiral still doing dumb shit and just look at Dragon. Who trusted Garp with more kids? No one should trust Garp with kids. He comes back a couple weeks later with three boys, two dark haired kids and a blond kid with a top hat, one of the dark-haired boys has a straw hat with a red band and introduces himself as Monkey D. Luffy and he's going to be the king of the pirates and is immediately thumped by the other two as Garp sighs. The other boys are introduced as Ace and Sabo and Sanji introduces himself and Ace asks why he's named three and is then thumped by Sabo. Later Zeff and Garp are alone and Zeff laments to his boyfriend about what has happened with his sister and Sanji and Garp just holds the man and lets him get his grief out.

Sanji is getting used to the boys the best he can, it's not easy after what he's been through with his birth family. He flinches a lot which makes ASL call him a wimp but they don't really understand why he is the way he is. They grew up in the jungle, what's his excuse? But when they're docked on Dawn Island at some point Zeff has kicked him off to go hang out and he meets Makino as he waits for ASL to come get him and take him to wherever they go. Makino and Sanji talk about their jobs and stuff when ASL come in and hear Sanji say his uncle basically kidnapped him to save his life. Makino has been with ASL for a while so she offers her sympathies even if she doesn't fully understand but ASL take him to the treehouse and demand more information which Sanji half gives them. They get closer over the years, to the point all three of them start claiming Sanji is their boyfriend. Zeff deals with it as best as he can, especially when Sabo dies and then comes back with amnesia and scarred to hell thanks to Dragon.

Zeff is fine. He swears it. He's just glad the kid is getting the love he didn't in Germa. It's what his sister would have wanted at least.

Zeffsora!Siblings au, but where Sora is alive + Cora x Sora and Law&Sanji brothers!

Ok so, in this, everything thing is the same except Sora doesn't die but Judge makes Sanji believe she is dead and locks him in the dunsheon. Of course, this don't last even a month until Sora discovers and uses all her strenght to take her son and run away, sending a letter explaining the situation to Zeff right after. So Sanji just stay more or less a month in the dunsheon.

Sora fakes their deaths and steals a both, going away. During this, both meet a 11 yo Law who is sick with a Corazon who is looking for a cure for the kid. The four of them start to sail together after some time.

They sail during two years, until Cora finds the Ope Ope no Mi so Law isn't sick anymore. Doflamingo finds them but don't see Law, Sora or Sanji but still shots his brother, Corazon survives tough.

Some weeks after this, with Cora-san much better, Law using his powers from the Akuma no Mi to heal himself and Sora, they find Zeff. Both siblings are happy to see each other and Sora tells everything that happened during these two years. Her brother can notice she seems to... like the man a little too much.

Then, they stay with Zeff for a while, the man noticing the romance between Corazon and his sister. Is he protective? Of course, but the blonde seems to really love Sora so he thinks he can give Rosinate a chance. Sanji and Law already act like brothers so they pratically are a family.

The CoraSora start a relatonship some time after finding Zeff, definitely taking Law and Sanji as their kids. Sanji sees Cora-san as his father as much as the man sees him as a son. And Law sees Sora as a mother just like she sees him as a son. They all chose to take the last name Trafalgar since Donquixote or Vinsmoke are out of question.

After a year or so, with Law going to start his crew with Bepo, Shachi and Penguin, and Zeff oficially going to open the Baratie, Sanji asks his parents if he can go with uncle Zeff so he can be teached how to be a cook. They talk and ask Zeff if this is okay with him. At the end, eggplant goes with his uncle, Patty and Carne to open Baratie.

Both brothers talk with each other and his parents once a week, they all happy that they have such a health and good family. Then Garp showing and having the idea of bringing his grandsons. Zeff at least tells his sister what his boyfriend is planing.

Garp brings ASL and they get along with Sanji quick. Resulting in a very happy Sanji the news that he made friends to his brother and parents.

Then ASL start liking him more and more and falling in love with Sanji. And Sanji is also in love with these three feral boys, his parents find this amusing and later on they ask Zeff about the boys, he says ASL are good brats and they seems to genuinely and really love Sanji. This makes Corazon and Sora relieved, and they talk that if Sanji wants, then he can date these boys. And no, he did not tell Law this on a call, damnmit! His older brother is protective as hell! Sanji and his parents chose that it's easyer telling Law this when the brothers see each other in person again.

But then ASL just ask him to be their boyfriend and well, seems like the news that he's in love with three feral boys will be changed that he's in love and dating said three feral boys. When Law and Sanji have a call the next day, Sanji says he has news to his brother that he wants to say in person when they meet again. Law is confused but agrees.

A month and half later, Law needs to go to the East Blue remembers what his young brother said and calls saying "I will be in the East Blue in a week, I will go visit you and uncle Zeff". Sanji is happy but also, fuck, he has only a week to think about how tell this to his protective older brother.

Later the same day, when ASL arrive to see their boyfriend and eat lunch in the restaurant, they notice Sanji seems really happy with something, to which he reply "Law is coming here!", which... Don't aswer anything? Since they didn't knew who Law was?

This makes ASL more questions about who this guy was for Sanji be so happy to see, Sanji tells it's his older brother who is a pirate (this makes ASL surprised).

Next week, when Law arrives, both go talk in Law's bedroom on the Polar Tang, the older guy wanting to know what "news" his baby bro had. He creates a room so no one hears them talking, and Sanji tells the news that, yay! He's dating all the three feral boys he telled him about'

Law freaks out. Obviously. But then he talks with Sanji and yes, he is protective, but if their parents and uncle Zeff think these boys are good people, then he thinks he can give them a chance.

The brothers stay all day talking, Zeff saying to Law that him and the crew can stay near Baratie and eat there. Sanji goes to sleep with Law on the Polar Tang, both staying awake talking until it's late.

The next day, as if things can't get better, ASL arrive to see Sanji with Garp. And well, meeting their boyfriend older brother wasn't in the plans, but they're already there so they can't do anything.

And would be funny as hell, because if Sanji is, maybe, 13 there, then Law is 18. And he probaly already is tall (to a point where Sanji almost reaches his shoulders) and has the piercing and some tattos. So think about 14 yo Ace and Sabo and 11 yo Luffy meeting this boy who always has a threatening and serious face.

Absolutely those are the vibes they give off, betcha Law even calls Sanji 'Sunshine' and the parents started calling him that too. Zeff 100% does. The fucking asshole.

Okay so Sora is deathly ill from drinking the poison and is locked off in a medical wing and no one is allowed to visit for 'fear of making her worse' which is absolute shit and they all know it. Sanji is considered a failure and locked in the dungeon with the helmet shortly after and Sora is not having it. She escapes and gets Sanji and once they're off Germa, maybe an island or two away she sends a letter to Zeff.

They find Law and Corazon as they're going along. Law is staring at them as they introduce themselves and Corazon introduces himself back. Sanji and Law are staring at each other because what the fuck? Law is outnumbered by these blonds. He is trapped and surrounded. They start sailing together to look for a cure for Law and Corazon and Sora start growing closer over time. So do Law and Sanji because Law is a lot nicer than his siblings and Law sees a new little baby sibling in him. Law is the first one to start calling him 'sunshine' and Sanji takes to it very easily. As do their parents.

Eventually Corazon gets a lead on the Ope-Ope no Mi so they start hunting it down. When they do find it, it's a fight. Corazon hides the kids and Sora away from everyone. He tells them he loves them and puts them in silence and waits for Doflamingo. He gets shot as he stares his brother down and he passes out after he thinks they're safe, not thinking he'll wake up. So he's surprised when he does and Law and Sanji are standing over him, on their ship, with Sora chiding them from the doorway. They immediately start yelling that he's awake and he's okay! Law did great! 'Mom' and 'Sora' mixed in as she smiles at them and checks on her lover herself and helps him eat and drink as he breaks down crying that they're all okay, they made it away.

Then Zeff shows up a few days later. Law has mostly healed his Sora's ailments when he calls 'Pirates!' as loud as he can. Sora rushes on deck with Cora's gun at the ready until she sees the flag and calms down the boys and calls to Cora it's alright. She knows them as the boat pulls up alongside them and Sora yells to Zeff as loud as she can it's about time he shows up. Zeff yells back she hasn't been an easy woman to track down by any means. They lay the planks so the crew can come aboard and start carrying their supplies over and load the four of them onto the larger ship and once it's clear they sail away and sink the smaller ship so no one can track them. Sanji is excited about a real galley and Law is excited to see new medical journals. Rosinante and Sora are just happy they're all safe as she introduces them all to Zeff and Zeff introduces his crew. They start sailing together and Zeff notices pretty quickly how close Rosinante and Sora are, he doesn't like it, doesn't like there's another man after Sora. He fucking hated Judge and what's happened therefore another outrageously tall blond guy? Zeff asks Sora about everything and she tells him and Zeff is getting ready to sail to Germa as Sora is basically hanging off her oldest brother to stop him which is so funny because Sora is in her thirties and Zeff in his fifties as he's yelling orders to his crew and Sora is telling him not to. Zeff gives in because they simply can't take Germa and asks what she wants to do then. Sora says she just wants to find a place to live with the kids, relatively peaceful but it's the North Blue so she's not hoping for much. Zeff thumbs at Rosinante with his burning coat witch a quirked brow and she says him too. Zeff rubs his face and asks his navigator to find them something.

They sail for a while. Sora and Rosinante getting even closer and Law reading all the journals with the medic and getting more whenever they reach port. Sanji reads all the cookbooks and helps cook and learns with the crew. Law eventually sets off but still calls everyone once a week to let them know he's alive. Sora and Rosinante settle on an island and Sanji heads with Zeff to the East Blue to open Baratie so he can "retire". The family call is always hectic, especially as Law's crew grows and are introduced. When the Baratie opens the three of them can't make it and Sanji is so tired he is nodding off during the call - Zeff does take a picture and sends it to them. Law has it hanging up in quarters of the Polar Tang and Sora and Rosinante have it in the kitchen of their little house. Garp visits Baratie with his grandsons because Zeff is his boyfriend and Sanji could use more friends. Sanji meets them and stares at them as they're all introduced and Luffy rubber bands his arms around the two older boys and Zeff sighs long and loud until he Sanji introduces himself as "Trafalgar D. Sanji" which makes Zeff pinch the bridge of his nose as Garp laughs. The boys get along fine.

Then ASL start liking Sanji more than they used to. Over their hangouts they start noticing exactly how much they like him and start fighting to do things for him which makes Sanji confused. Sanji also keeps forgetting to mention his family outside of Baratie to they boys because they're all so talkative and boisterous. Sanji keeps track of the conversations he's having with each of them but it is definitely a trial because they're all over the place in terms of thinking and talking. It's just a matter of time really before Sanji starts liking them back and truly it's awful because three? Three? No way they like him.

But then they ask him to be their boyfriend and he agrees. When he and Law have their own phone call the next day he tells his older brother who has heard of them on their family calls like normal. The resounding thud on the other side of the call and then the immediate freak out afterwards is bad but so funny. Law yells Sanji is thirteen and shouldn't be dating and Sanji shoots back that at least he is since Law's not and Law threatens to drown him and Sanji throws back he'll take Law with him. Ya know, sibling stuff. Sanji points out everyone likes them and thinks they're good and Law sighs and says he still wants to meet them. He has to come to the East Blue for a few things any way and it's been a while since they've seen each other. Sanji is excited to see his brother and meet his crew in person and just so excited truthfully, so Law gives him the date of when they'll be at Baratie and Sanji is so excited. He's bouncing around the Baratie and when ASL and Garp are visiting they ask why and Sanji is just only saying Law is coming soon and he's excited because it's been a couple of years and he misses his brother deeply. ASL are confused because Sanji is dating them? Who the fuck is Law? Sanji? Sanji doesn't explain further other than bouncing around and Zeff doesn't explain anything to them or Garp. Just rolls his eyes and continues on like usual. Sanji is usually able to focus easily but since finding out he hasn't been able to focus at all.

When Law and the crew come to Baratie, Zeff demands to feed them because they're traveling in a damn submarine and fucking look at them, they're all so fucking pale. Law is trying to talk Zeff out of it but is quickly overrun by his crew and he mutters about mutiny as Zeff laughs. The crew ends up staying all day at the restaurant and getting to know Zeff and Sanji and the staff. Law is obviously protective and laughs when Zeff asks him about the tattoos on his hands and answers he got a nickname from saving those that couldn't be saved without his fruit. Sanji is laughing so hard and Law is constantly hauling him up and shambling him between meals. He of course checks Sanji over and deems him fine. Law shows Sanji around the Polar Tang and Bepo holds the small blond and Sanji is surprised at how soft the mink is. Law drags Sanji into his bed to sleep because it's getting late and they've spent the day running around and using Law's fruit and Sanji has been cooking for them and it's a big crew to cook for on top of normal business. If Law snuck up to Sanji's to pack him a bag and nodded at Zeff to keep his silence for the surprise no one else needs to know. It's just been a while and Law's bed is comfy and the photos snuck of them are bought and paid for by Zeff. Of course.

The Baratie is closed the next day and despite it being closed Garp shows up with ASL who immediately yell for Sanji as Garp tells them to calm down because it was supposed to be a surprise. ASL is met by Shachi and Penguin are standing in front of them asking what they want with their captain's little brother and their confused because Sanji doesn't have a brother? What? Law laughs and asks Sanji why he didn't tell them and Sanji says he needs to try holding all of the conversations they're having together and individually. Zeff comes out to join as the crew spreads out to let the families talk and when ASL find out Law is a pirate and Sanji's brother everyone can see the gears turning in their heads. Sanji is trying not to laugh because Law is scary looking, but he's incredibly sweet and nerdy but also he doesn't cause harm unless it's in self defense really. He's a doctor, a surgeon. ASL are scared shitless of him of, his power freaks them out and Garp keeps trying to convince him to become a marine. Law says he'll think about it in ten years as Sanji laughs and says their parents will love that and Law says about as much as his boyfriends being the grandsons of a Vice Admiral.

But, can I dump a little ship here?

Bellmere x Sora. Just. These two raising Sanji, Nojiko and Nami together (and Sanji not being weird about girls bc of that). Or even ALL the 01234ji siblings + Nojiko & Nami bc Sora deserves to raise all her precious babies like she wanted. They winning against Arlong and his crew and living as a happy little family who basically is loved by all Cocoyashi. Maybe even with ZeffSora! Siblings bc him and Bellmere as in-laws would be funny as hell.

Maybe the crew meets Sanji + Nami at the same time, bc both work on the Baratie or whatever. Maybe Arlong tries, after years, to take Cocoyashi and they hear about it so Zeff sends Sanji & Nami and goes, too. The crew (Luffy, actually) goes to help too, afterall these two will join the crew/are crewmates.

Maybe Lusan and Namivivi happens. Maybe their mothers + siblings (or just sister) hear about it and can't wait to know/see again Vivi and Luffy. Maybe WCI hurts deeper, because Nami knows why her big brother is doing this, but hurts her heart all the same. Maybe, she does slaps him, but hugs him right after. Maybe, after hearing about Pudding and the cuffs, she is 10x angrier.

Maybe, their relationship is more. Something happier, just platonic from both sides. Maybe, when Luffy and Sanji start dating, Nami half threatens Luffy to take care of her brother, and Sanji does the same about Vivi and Nami.

Just, maybe.

I'm ALIVE! There's a lot going on in my life but I think I'm back on it as well as Golden being almost done, should be updating within the next couple of months but let's focus on this!

I love this and I have seen some fanart of this ship of dead Sora and Bellemere watching their kids and Bellemere just losing it for Sora. Which is valid. Sora looks like the lipstick lesbian of my dreams sometimes. Bellemere is definitely stares because hot damn, even when she was a marine she's never seen someone as pretty as that. Because this woman and a kid who looks just like her rolled up in Cocoyashi and Bellemere just stopped and Nojiko and Nami are confused about why she's staring at the woman and her son. Bellemere will bring her girls to deliver to oranges to town and collect payments and the blonde woman is now working in the bar. Bellemere will talk with her lightly and listen, she's pretty. She's so fucking pretty. Bellemere tries to keep her cool which she feels like she lost when she got her girls but the woman seems to pay it no mind. (I need oblivious Sora)

Sora introduces herself after a few trips when she realizes that hasn't happened yet and Bellemere introduces herself and her girls and Sora shakes their hands and looks around and calls for Sanji who pops out from somewhere and introduces him to the lovely ladies. Sanji is rather quiet, especially compared to Nami and Nojiko. He's helping around the bar, collecting dishes and cups and he sneaks around like he's afraid to get caught. Nami and Nojiko will come find him on the off days and try to get him to play with them as Sora will collect the extra food the bar didn't use to make something for them. Sora will call to Sanji in another language to collect him and the girls when it's time to eat. She sounds an ocean breeze to Bellemere, a language she hasn't heard since she was in the marines and Sanji starts teaching the girls and hearing her girls speak in a language not their own makes Bellemere swoon a bit as they try to talk to Sora in it with a serene smile and taking the time to help them. Sora asks Bellemere if she'd like to learn it as well and Bellemere hastily nods.

One day a grumpy man with a peg leg comes to buy out most of their oranges. Bellemere can't help but mention how he looks like the barmaid in town and her son when the chef laughs.

"Sora and her son Sanji? Aye, that'd be my baby sister and nephew. They are actually the ones who mentioned the produce here. Gotta admit it's been a while since I've seen this quality." The chef smiles.

"Oh, she hasn't mentioned a brother." Bellemere replies, slightly in shock as Nami and Nojiko look at the man.

"I'm Zeff, Sora is doing well here. Far more than where she was. I best be off though." Zeff says as he loads the crate. "And Miss Bellemere, you have to be extremely blunt with my sister. She ain't been around many normal folk." Nami and Nojiko start giggling as Bellemere gawks at the man as he leaves with the cart full of produce and just leaves. Bellemere doesn't quite believe him until she starts actively flirting and it goes over the woman's head more often than not. Bellemere looks at Sora and says something about Zeff saying she needed to be blunt but she wasn't hoping that blunt and Sora looks at her confused and Bellemere is flushed as she stutters about wanting to spend the night with Sora, alone, no kids, just the two of them.

Sora is bright red. Sanji pulls the girls out to go play in the orchard and run and climb the trees. He boosts Nami and Nojiko up into the trees and giggle with the girls he now considers his sisters and they plot to get them together. Whenever Zeff visits they'll go hide on the Baratie and Patty and Carne will laugh at the kids and Zeff will let them stow away until the morning. Zeff will teach the girls more of the language and hoist the girls to his shoulders and walk them around the restaurant. Sanji tells them what he remembers of the North Blue on the roof top of Baratie and the constellations there. Nami says she wants to go she can draw a map, Nojiko says she wants to see snow. Zeff smiles at his niblings and is proud of the new family Sora has created for herself.

I love the idea that Arlong doesn't take Cocoyashi until later so Sora and Bellemere definitely get closer over all the times the kids disappear to the Baratie until Sanji is gone more often than not because he's working and then Nami joins not long after. Sora and Sanji moved to the orchard not long after the women started dating and Sanji cooks a myriad of orange dishes as Nami and Nojiko make the peels into pinwheels like Bellemere does and Bellemere also provides protection to the town with the sheriff whenever people try to invade. Bellemere watches in awe as Sora manages to end fights quickly between the kids. Bellemere asks the woman to marry her and Sora agrees. At the wedding Zeff told Bellemere to be blunt and look where it got them. Married. Bellemere groans and says she's just so pretty and kind and nice that all she wants to do is make her happy forever. Zeff says that's why told Sora if she didn't marry Bellemere he would never let her live it down. Bellemere stares at him as he pats her shoulder and goes and dances with her daughters.

When Sanji and Nami are working on the Baratie everyone knows they are siblings and there's a third one of them. Sanji and Nami make an excellent team and Zeff constantly tells his sister and her wife that they are never getting those kids back. They're his now and when Nojiko eventually decides to come join the crew they're all his and Sora will argue with him until she's blue in the face and she's yelling in Northern and nothing makes Bellemere want to pin her down more than a pissed off Sora talking in another language. Sometimes Nami and Sanji can calm her down over the denden. Sanji's cooking has only gotten better so he treats his family to it whenever they're home. It's the best times of their lives so far because Nami's map of the East Blue is coming along really well and she and Sanji still somehow manage to share a room and pool their money together to buy gifts for their moms and Nojiko and books for themselves. It's great.

Until Sanji feeds some guy and he leads a destroyed galleon to them and some kid told Sanji he was going to be his cook and Sanji refused questioningly and then Mihawk shows up and almost kills the swordsman and Nami leaves with them to get the guy medical care. Then after they defeat the crew of the galleon, some guy called Don Krieg Sanji gets a phone call saying there's pirates attacking Cocoyashi so he takes the rubber kid with him to get home and is complaining because he's not Nami and he's not the best at navigation and Luffy is giggling saying he found his cook and navigator. Sanji is blinking at him like he's dumb as bricks but he's just so endearing Sanji gives up. Sure, he'll join the crew. He doesn't make a promise about Nami joining because she has her own choice to make. Once they arrive at the orchard he's enveloped in hugs from his moms and sisters and explaining it's a warlord's little brother, his name is Arlong and he's trying to take over the island and Luffy promises he won't let that happen. Nami says he wants the map to the grandline she bought and he took it in exchange for their lives and Luffy says he'll get it back too since she's his navigator and Nami looks incredously at him and Sanji said he already agreed to be the cook. Nami stares at her older brother as Nojiko looks at Bellemere in a 'what are we going to do about this?' way since she was a marine. Sora is losing it and laughing so hard because piracy runs in the family technically. She's losing her god damn mind over it and Zoro and Usopp are worried she might pass out.

After they beat Arlong and Sanji's still soaking wet from fighting a guy under water they go back home and are met with praise and cheers and Sanji cooks for the town and Nami does agree to be the navigator for the crew and they set off, declaring their dreams and becoming the Strawhat Pirates officially with a glorious flag. When they meet Vivi and agree to give her and Karoo passage and help take back Alabasta. Sanji notices how his sister and Vivi keep looking at each other and somehow manages to get them time alone and nicer food. They enjoy it and thank him because yeah, they're getting close and Sanji does want his sister happy. Nami on the other hand watches her brother be obliviously endeared to the captain who clearly has feelings for him and makes bets with Vivi about it. Then Nami gets sick and Vivi and Sanji are worried but luckily the next island has a doctor because she's only been getting sicker. So they make their way to a bitterly cold island that reminds Sanji of the worst times of his life. He hasn't told his moms that Nami is sick so they don't worry about them. Then he kicks his baby sister and captain out of the way and takes the full force of an avalanche. When he comes to he finds his captain staring at him and Sanji is so fucking dazed as Luffy tells him not to do that again because he loves Sanji and Sanji thinks he just loves Sanji as his cook and Sanji promises not to worry his captain again. Luffy nods and holds Sanji's hand before they end up chasing a reindeer and check on Nami. Then they help defend the jolly roger on top of the castle. When Nami finds out as they're escaping Sanji broke his fucking back she wrings his neck and threatens to call their moms because 'I don't care what your dad did, fucking fuck, Sanji!' as he's apologizing but he feels fine. Vivi kisses Nami because she's better and Luffy is laughing because they got a doctor now. And then when they meet Ace who's flirting goes straight over Sanji's head and Ace gets punched by Luffy for even thinking of taking the cook while their captain declares Sanji as his. Vivi asks Nami if this is normal and Nami's long drawn-out sigh that he's just like his mother and when their moms finally got together it's because it took forever for Sora to take the hint. It's a wonder how their moms got married. Vivi and Chopper are looking at her and Nami shrugs and says they should have seen it when he was waiting on Baratie when the other waiters quit and it just those two waiting, she saw so many people get let down by his oblivious antics. It was bad. It was so bad. Nami made so much money off betting on him though. It was great.

Sanji pulls his sneaky shit and Nami looks at him unimpressed after they free Alabasta and Luffy is clinging to him. It's actually fucking adorable and Nami takes a picture to send home, just as Sanji sneaks one of Nami and Vivi being absolutely lost in each other. They send the photo's seperately but they get one letter back with a photo of the photos hanging up and congratulations on bagging the captain and the princess respectively. They look at each other with deadened eyes and Sanji asks when he and Luffy started dating and Nami says at least Drum if not before, that's why he punched his brother over him. Sanji blinks at her before finding Luffy and asking if they're dating and Luffy says 'Duh!' with a laugh and Sanji rubs his temples. Luffy just wraps around him and plants a sloppy kiss to Sanji's cheek. It's rough, especially when everyone laughs at him. Life continues on for the crew as normal, even through Sabaody just with more letters. Bellemere and Sora constantly asking if they're okay and what they can send to help along with pictures of Cocoyashi and Nojiko and the orchard waiting for them at home. But then on Sabaody the crew with more members and more scars is ripped apart and separated. Sanji has failed his captain and his sister and his moms, Nami has failed her captain, and Luffy has failed his family, his crew, the love of his life. Vivi weeps openly at the news of Marineford and Bellemere stares at the paper as Sora screams curses and heaves sobs out of her chest for losing her son again and now losing a daughter as Nojiko shakes with anger. Two years pass.

Two whole years pass. Two years of getting stronger, of worrying about Luffy who watched his brother die. Of speaking in Northern to feel comfort to no one who understands. Nami remembers speaking in it with Sanji when they wanted to talk shit or Sanji got so excited about something he just slipped into his native tongue and accent, he used to sing to Luffy in it after they actually got together. Hearing it in person after so long as they run to each other, and she leaps into his arms and he catches her and holds onto her. The words falling from his mouth like the rain used to pour in Cocoyashi and Robin smiles sweetly at them and Franky sobs about siblings reuniting. Luffy comes barreling after a while and barrels into Sanji when he's getting groceries and kisses him so fucking hard. They depart Sabaody with allies and friends made during their time apart protecting them as Luffy begs Sanji to cook for him, which he does. Nami smiles and Sanji catches it and smiles back, it looks just like his All Blue Smile and she knows he loves with his whole heart, wears it on his sleeve Luffy holds it so kindly. Just like Vivi holds her's safe back in Alabasta. How Cocoyashi also holds segments of their hearts with their moms and sister. They make it through Fishman Island and to Punk Hazard and Law stares at the Cat Burglar and Cook who speak in Northern and when he slips into their conversations they grin at him and warn him to not let Luffy know. Law takes this warning to heart.

Nami stares in horror because her brother is a self-sacrificing idiot, it's just like when he got struck by lightning on Skypeia except he's strung up by a fucking evil moron. She's screaming for him as Law frees him and they send off. Nami's helping bandage him and Sanji gives her that shit eating grin because he would always protect his little sister. He does it all over again with that damned self sacrificing smile as he signs his death warrant basically and Nami is screaming for him as he's promising to come back, and Nami knows he's believing that he'll come back but she figured out that this would either end in him leaving the crew or dying. She screams until her voice is raw and running after them to get him back. When Luffy and them make it to Zou everyone notices the teary eyes of Nami immediately as she latches to Luffy and Chopper hurls himself into Usopp's. Sanji is gone, his father took him to marry him off and if they don't get him back he might die. Luffy is staring at her because of Sanji's promise on Drum Island is ringing through the captain's head.

Sora, Bellemere, and Nojiko are staring at Sanji's bounty poster between working and trying to find news on the siblings. When the denden in town rings and someone comes to tell them it's for them and they all but run. It's Nami, she's sobbing and apologizing because it was the Vinsmoke's that took him. She and Luffy and several others are going after him, to get him back. Sora tells her as much as she can, being locked in medical meant she wasn't privy to as much as she would like, but still, better than nothing. Nami thanks them and says she'll call when they get him back. Bellemere holds her wife and daughter as they start sobbing and when she gets them home and calmed down she decides to cash in a few favors owed from her time as a marine. Several calls later she makes sure that there's back up for her kids, whether they want it or not. Come Hell or high-water Bellemere will not lose any of them. When the rescue team makes it to the carriage. Nami watches in horror at the hold these people have over her brother but steels herself as she marches forward after her captain falls. She marches over to Sanji and his eyes only show pain and sorrow and guilt as Nami slaps him, quickly pulling him into her arms and his whispered apologies but he he has to as he shoves her off. Luffy stands and yells at him, Nami staring after them while clenching her fists, tears spilling down her face because she's so angry. Angry at his dad for taking him away, angry that Sanji feels he has no choice, angry at herself for not fighting for him. Whole Cake continues normally but after though, small group of what seem to be Marines help the Strawhat Pirates on their escape. They're all about Bellemere's age, which confuses the rescue team and Sanji because why? After they make it to calmer waters the marines yell to them to tell Bellemere they're even now and to stop being so much like their mother. Luffy laughs and plants a big old kiss on Sanji's cheek as Nami yells back for them to fuck off essentially. They can't really think of better people to emanate. They go call their moms and sister and calm them down, more or less, they're pissed and rightfully so. They don't know Zeff is standing with them until he says something like 'I'm calling everyone who owes me favors now, your exhusband is dead, little sister' causing a ruckus on both sides of the denden. Don't piss of their moms.

Just... Little ship I thought of: Robin x Sora. Nico!Sanji happening but Sora's alive and both women just fall in love.

Think about the StrawHats learning Sanji is Robin's son. And she is married to Sanji's bio mom. Sora joining the crew. Sora having the name Miss Midnight or Miss Sky or even Miss Queen-. Sora and Robin being a very in love couple but subtle about it to everyone else except Zeff and Sanji, yet being a romantic couple that sit together reading and driking tea.

It would be even funnier if it is the ZeffSora!Siblings AU. Because the crew would meet Sanji at the Baratie and then at Alabasta know about his moms.

I find this hilarious. One hundred percent I'm down. Zeff saves Sora and Sanji and drops them off in the Grand line because they'll be harder to track there. They make it to Alabasta and start working for Crocodile. Miss Queen and Mister Prince, the mother son duo where the son cooks and plays with the bananawanis and his mother helps Crocodile plan, gives advice. No one ever comments on who anyone is there. Too risky and the prize of safety far too valuable to give up what they have. When Ms. All Sunday starts joining in on the meetings Sora calls her cute with a light smirk, she knows who the woman is but won't say anything as Robin stares at her in fascination. They start spending a lot of time together in the meetings and eventually outside of the meetings. Sora eventually introduces Robin to Sanji, the boy Robin sees in the hallways but he hides and knows the bananawanis adore. Sanji looks at Robin with hard yet curious eyes and sees how his mom is behaving with her, doting on her but differently from how she dotes on him.

When the women start dating it's truly unremarkable to everyone because they saw it coming soon as they were introduced to each other. Robin keeps an eye on Sanji because of how softly and quickly he moves, truly becoming one with the shadows. He sneaks up one people without even meaning to when he's delivering food and such. No one mentions the fact that Robin isn't even a decade older than Sora's son. No one really cares though, they just let them be and when Sanji starts calling them both 'mom'. No one cares as long as the work is done. Sanji eventually goes back to Zeff to help him with his retirement and his restaurant that he started up after losing a leg. His moms will come visit when Crocodile has business in the East Blue. Crocodile keeps trying to convince him to come back, mostly because Sora worries, but also because he misses Sanji cooking for him but won't admit it. He is only asking for him to come back so Miss Queen will stop her nagging. Sora argues with him and Daz rolls his eyes and Robin giggles at them. Crocodile has respect for Redleg for putting up with all he has in and out of the Grand Line, and with Miss Queen being his little sister he does try to be respectful to him, just a little bit at least. Crocodile does have a reputation to uphold anyway.

A few years later Sanji joins the Strawhat Pirates and they're sailing and having fun, Sanji loves his job and his crew. Until they meet Vivi and Sanji can feel his path forking in a very uncomfortable way. He wants to help Vivi but that means going against his moms and he really wants to help but also not go against his moms. Like his whole being feels like he's being torn in half, but he listens to his captain. He shoves the Baroque Works part of himself down, deep into his being for the moment. He gets along well with Vivi, so it helps. On the denden with Crocodile in Little Garden he's told that Crocodile is telling his mothers and then promptly hangs up on Sanji. Sanji can feel the light evaporate from his eyes immediately at the thought. Oh well, that's for later him to deal with!

Later him hates past him because he was the only one to not be caught in Alabasta, avoiding his mothers, their boss. During the celebration he doesn't see his moms, either of them. He wonders when it will all come crashing down only for him to pull a gun out on one of them and the other slinks out from below deck. It's not his fault they appeared on the ship randomly! What the fuck! Sanji shrugs it off as his moms pretend not to know him and he pretends right back. It's easier, less to worry about if they don't think of the familial connection they have. Everyone notices the women are together and they don't care. It's nice to have them again, even if they're staying an arms length away from each other. That starts changing in Skypeia though, when Sanji takes the lightning for Nami and Usopp. Sora looks him over with worry as Robin giggles behind her hand, Luffy smiles wide and belly laughs. Sora sighs and chronicles everything in the log book. She chronicles all the findings and the adventures of the crew starting from when she and Robin joined. Her handwriting is the neatest of them all. Of course, when they have to say goodbye to Merry and Usopp leaves, and everything goes down with Cipher Pol and Robin giving herself up and Luffy making her admit she wants to live. Sora is so happy and relieved she's alive and the family is together. Then Sabaody happens.

And Sanji is one of the first to go.

Sora lets out a heart wrenching scream for their son before she too disappears and then it's just Robin and Luffy, and then Robin is gone too. Zeff is reading the news and sees his sister and her family are gone, considered dead. Especially after the Summit War. Zeff mourns in his own way, he works himself to the bone and then some. His baby sister, her wife, his nephew-they were all gone. They were done for, dead. He had already risked his life saving them and there was nothing to be done. He couldn't save them. Patty and Carne try to keep him steady but they're also mourning the kid. It's hard on all of them. Then the Strawhat Pirates aren't dead and Robin is so thankful her wife and son are alive and is absolutely relieved she didn't lose everything like she thought she had. She and Sora absolutely have a Notebook kiss when they're reunited and it's amazing for them. Go lesbians.

I don't think anyone really connects the dots except Luffy and I feel like Chopper knows but patient confidentiality and Luffy probably thinks everyone know that they are Sanji's moms. Everyone has suspicions because of how much Sora and Sanji look alike. Like during Punk Hazard when the alliance is going on and I feel like the women and Sanji slip into another language at some point. Luffy snaps to Law who is watching the family with confusion and Luffy is laughing because yeah, they're really great and good fighters! Don't worry, Tora-o! Law feels what little color he has in his face drain because of the possible complications that could arise from a family fighting together. And he's proven right on Zou when he finds out Sanji has been kidnapped and Sora looks like she's going to burn the world and Robin is also seething and trying to settle the blonde woman and it doesn't seem to be working. Especially after Luffy says she can't go with the rescue team. Law isn't exactly happy to be dealing with that at the moment on the submarine, however Zoro is the one who bites the bullet and asks Sora why she's so pissed.

"Because my shitty ex-husband who thinks he can get whatever he wants even though he said we're dead! To everyone! I'm surprised Zeff believed me when I asked him to come get us because his dead sister was calling him!" Sora exclaims.

"And the Vinsmokes are?" Usopp asks with a hitch of nervousness.

"The head family of the Germa Kingdom." Sora growls. "Run by a man who thinks he's god and treated my children like test subjects and not humans. Gods, I'm going to strangle the fucking bastard."

This of course sets off everyone from the North Blue about the comics and Sora is weirded out there's a comic where she shares the same name as the hero and it's about the shitty kingdom her husband runs and how much the "villains" sound like her kids. Robin rubs her back as Sora plans to strangle her captain lightly when he returns. On Wano they're working to the best of their abilities and trying to keep a low profile until the others come back. And they do, and Luffy causes an immediate ruckus. Also Zoro has a wanted poster for some reason and Sora can feel a headache creeping up the back of her skull but at least the crew is getting back together. When Sora and Robin see Sanji they are grabbing him and hugging him much to the rescue teams, sans Luffy, confusion.

Sanji does his best to calm the women down. Sora is just losing it as she's grabbing Sanji and holding him and Robin is chastising Sanji for worrying them and Sanji is apologizing as Nami is demanding answers from them now and Zoro chimes in that apparently the cook is their kid. The ensuing conversations last forever and a day it feels like to Sanji, especially with the fact that Judge and his brother's didn't care that Sora was alive and what could have happened with that. The next morning everyone finds the cook passed out with his moms and Robin is holding the blonds protectively. Nami absolutely takes a picture for future ventures.
