Maverick: I hate this name with every fiber of my being. It's cool for a dog or a cat, but not for a human being.

Discovering the fact that one’s parents had a lives before one was born can often be a strange and mind-bending thing. When one’s parents were some the the worst vampires in history the discovery was also, often, traumatic. 

Connor flinched a little as he defensively looked Zayden up and down. He definitely fit what he gathered was his mother’s type. The thought caused an unpleasant taste in the back of his throat.
