So last night I was talking to my friend about arcane stuff and instead of saying silco I ended up saying sexco and as I questioned my ability to speak I couldn't help but imagine vander confidently approaching silco to say something along the lines of you look sexy today only for sexco to come out of his mouth and walk in the opposite direction out of embarrassment.

Do you have more Zaundads with Vi headcannons? I'm obsessed!!

Oh don’t worry I unfortunately think about them all the time and thus have plenty of headcanons! Enjoy!

- About a year after Felicia and Connol died, a horrible sickness swept through the Lanes and Vi caught it. She spent 4 days in bed, delirious from fever, crying for her parents. Silco spent every second by her bedside while Vander took care of the other kids, trying to keep her comfortable. She would only calm when lying on top of Silco, the steady beat of his heart soothing her to sleep.

- Even as an adult, Vi is super whiny when sick. She can handle physical pain no problem, but the second she’s sniffling? Oh, the misery. Caitlyn refuses to deal with it and sends her to Vander and Silco at the first sign of a cough.

- Vi hates being babied because she never wants to be seen as weak, but also deeply craves comfort and safety from her loved ones. The solution? Guerrilla Affection, as lovingly dubbed by Vander.

- Guerrilla Affection takes many forms. Vander pressing a quick kiss to her knuckles after bandaging them post-fight. Silco helping her trim her hair when it gets too long, fingers running a soothing pattern through the strands. Holding her just a smidge too tight in an embrace, only letting go when she pulls away. Always being a safe place to come home to.

- Silco actually approved of Caitlyn when Vi told her fathers they started dating. Her mother had always been an ally of Zaun and he knew Caitlyn had a good head on her shoulders and would keep his girl out of trouble.

- Vander however sulked for a week, not because he disapproved of Caitlyn, but because he didn’t want ANY of his kids dating. Dating meant forming a new life with someone and moving away and eventually forgetting all about your dear old dad. Silco repeatedly found him cuddled up with Powder, making the girl swear to Janna she’d live with them forever, which Powder gleefully agreed to. Silco would roll his eyes, fish their youngest of the greedy paws of his husband, and tell Vander to stop being such a child and to go man the bar.

- Alone time is hard to come by with four kids. Vander and Silco found that is they asked Vi “if she was responsible enough to keep everyone else entertained while they did super important, secret work in their room”, they could usually sneak away for an hour or two while Vi kept everyone else in line.

So many thoughts percolating, maybe it’s time to actually plan a fic for all of this…

hiii! im curious, who are your top 3 arcane characters and / or ships? if you do have favourite, that is.

This proved harder to answer than I thought! Though I absolutely ADORE Arcane, I haven't ventured all too deep into fics or fallen in love with a certain ship (which is my usual modus operandi), so I had to think long and hard about this one - all of fifteen minutes including discussing it with my partner

Top 3 characters

Vi. I just love every scene she's in. She kept me on my toes the entire show. Will she argue her case? Will she beat someone up? Will she flirt with every cute cop she meets? (Also, hot damn)

Jinx. Such an intense character, what's not to be drawn in by?

Victor. Any character who tries to explain breaking into a room with "Wait a minute, this isn't my bedroom?" has forever carved a place into my heart

Top 3 ships OKAY SO HERE ME OUT. While I always found Jayvik a nice concept I never paid them all that much attention as I was far more invested in Vi and Caitlyn (enemies to lovers is my jam). BUT THEN. THEN CAME THAT LAST EPISODE of season 2 and APPARENTLY IN EVERY TIMELINE and that, that, that ART and and it was very convincing so

Yeah, like. I'm happy, so happy actually, that we got confirmation that (whether romantically or platonically or fraternally) they loved each other. They loved each other so much. They could have changed the world together. Silco offers Vander's memory his understanding before he dies. Vander's first and last memories of Silco are of him young and hopeful and happy, and alive with possibility. They shaped each other, for better AND for worse. They made each other who they are. They loved each other so much that they had a little hideout deep under the earth where they hung their flag and hung their hats side by side and their mining jackets one inside the other and dreamed a big, impossible dream together. They wanted to make it real.

But it's also about the blood, and the betrayal, and the ferocity, and the complexity, and the brokenness, and the avoidable-inevitable tragedy. It's Vander wrapping his hand around Silco's neck for a second time, and seeing the man he loved - loves - staring back up at him, terrified, before spending his last breath slumped against Silco's body, exhausted. It's about Silco turning his head tenderly into the crook of Vander's neck, Vander's blood hot on his hand, and murmuring, "I knew you still had it in you," the one-last-time before giving him to the flames. It's about covering up scars, versus having to wear them on your face forever. It's about stealing Vander's knife under the water, and giving it back to him in his gut, and then keeping it for the rest of his life.

It's about how it could only ever have worked with two of them. But it's also about how, because things went the way they did, because they both broke the way they broke, and both made the choices they did, it would only ever end with one of them.

being an OG zaundads shipper is such a conflicting time right now. we've gone mainstream, but at what cost? the absolutely brutal silco & vander character assassinations of S2? that are how newbies are getting into the ship? genuinely tragic.

The moment Silco wakes up, he knows he's in trouble. His throat is tight, itchy, like a burr lodged itself down there and refuses to be swallowed away. He sniffs, his nose cold and runny. There's a pressure between his eyes, and a headache on the horizon. Next to him, Vander snores softly, yet unaware of Silco's budding sickness.

But maybe he isn't sick. Maybe this is just from yesterday's drinking. Or a little cold. They did get caught in the rain, after all. And perhaps it'll go away during the day.

Silco slips out of bed, careful not to wake Vander. He grabs his clothes and leaves the room, getting dressed in the corridor. He puts on an extra layer, sniffling all the while and cursing Janna under his breath for her winds���never enough of them, and cold and damp when they show up. What is even the point of worshipping her any more?

He goes down to the bar, coughing into his fist, and starts searching for the tisane and the pot of honey. He knows they're here somewhere, he just doesn't know where Vander has gone and hidden them. Silco shouldn't let him run the place so much on his own. Not that Vander needs oversight, or even help, but it doesn't sit well with Silco that he's struggling to find things in his own home. The movement is taking so much of his time, nowadays. Sometimes it feels like the Last Drop is just the place he does his paperwork at. That Vander owns it, and Silco is a mere guest, coming in and out, forever running after people, fleeting from one meeting to the next.

'Hah!' he exclaims as he finds the clay pot used to keep the one herbal brew they own. 'Got you!'

A coughing spell immediately punishes him for the outbursts, and it dawns on Silco that he might have to spend the day outside, if he's to hide this from Vander. The man simply can't be made aware of—

'Looking for this?'

Silco whirls around, too startled to even cry out. 'Vander?! What—'

Starting on the 1st of April, we will be celebrating Silco/Vander with a month-long Zaundads Bingo event! During this event, we’ll encourage each other to write fic and create art featuring our favorite Zaunite father figures.

How does this “Bingo” event work?

It’s quite simple! We’ve made three 5x5 bingo boards, each with 25 different prompts. One is a mix of SFW and NSFW prompts, one is more family oriented, and the last is more on the NSFW/kink side. You can find them pinned at the top of our channel. Choose the card you like and try to get a BINGO by writing or drawing 5 prompts in a row/diagonal. If you like a challenge, you can try and achieve a Blackout, by doing all the prompts!
