when Zane first starts to have feelings for you, he doesn't know what to do. he's sure his power source is going haywire, or that he's short circuiting.

he self scans OFTEN

overheating anytime you look at him, and overheats more from the panic of not knowing what in the fuck is wrong with him.

as most of the ninja do- he goes to nya.

he explains everything, all of his symptoms, the way your glances make him panic and overheat.

she smiles almost immediately, instantly knowing that he's twitterpated.

he doesn't know what that is.

"yes, I do?"

he's simply confused as ever, but eventually nya seems to explain it well enough and his eyes light up at the realization

he likes you

it takes him a few months, but eventually works up the courage to ask you out

he'd planned the first date for weeks ahead of time

a nice picnic in a park, a beautiful lunch and hours of conversation

your first kiss was under a cherry tree, he initiated it.

Lloyd - His sloutched posture turned to a straight back immediately, having been caught off gourd but not displeased with the attention he received. Finally this boy was thinking about something that wasnt being a hero and saving ninjago. Small boyish smile reached even as he tried to act cool, seeing as you reached out of sight for him his ears popped into a hot pink, and even his face was hot to the touch.

Jay - Only laughed a little after like nothing but felt as if he was on cloud nine, his heart beating quickly in his chest even with his 'Stay cool' facade that Kai had tried to teach him into doing. After you had left him he was giggly and touching where your lips had just briefly touched his cheek, celebrating to himself.

Kai - The ego of this man went through the sun, his usual smirk had formed into a more genuine smile. It felt odd having someone show interest in him as usually it was he who always did, it made him feel warm(er). Definitely let it get a little to his head for the rest of the day.

Zane - He had the least reaction, but the butterflies in his stomach had appeared yet again. The tiniest smile on spread on his face as he watched you leave, feeling accomplished and appreciated even from the small action of affection from you.

Cole - Definitely the kind of guy to not give it too much thought in the moment, but rather thinking of it for the rest of the day. It's not that he didn't want it more or less the fact he didn't expect it and far from it. A secret he would keep for himself only.

Nya - Shocked for the first few seconds after, but nonetheless she enjoyed it, taking it as a hint to start showing her interest with you (even though you might have already cought on). Feeling her palms being a tad bit more clammy than usually for the a while rest of the evening.

Morro - Scoffing after as he crossed his arms, shaking his head. He was in denial about his feelings, and you've only made it worse for him. His heart would've been beating fast if he still had one. After his experience of being a ghost, he didn't feel much, but that was the most warmth he'd felt in a long time on the inside.

P.I.X.A.L - Dose not register as an affection and question it, not used to being shown like this. Definitely went and searched up about this later and found out what the potential meaning could be she was happy, to say the least.

Since the live action Ninjago movie is confirmed, here are some of my crack predictions

They DC-ify all the Gi's (think the animated movie but x10)

They retcon half the lore

Lloyd is played by a 25+ year old actor

Dareth is there, but he's serious and played by Chris Pratt

Cole is purely token big, strong dude of the group™️ and isn't a sweet cinnamon roll

Kai's actor is blond (that'd be so funny. It'd be like how Miles Morales's Peter Parker was blond)

Zane is a human

Jay's actor is 6ft

Wu is played by Jackie Chan (cool) or by Danny DeVito (cursed)

Garmadon is either a giant hulking mess of CGI or just some guy dressed in black with red eyes and the occasional black, purple shadow

°× Or this is what he thinks he does. All the other ninjas know about his crush. How? It's in his eyes.

°× Oh my. His love for you is so obvious.

°× He flirts with you all the time that you started to questioning that he does this to anyone else.

°× He became extramely protective over you. If anyone dares to mess with you has already jumped on the person.

°× He shows off in front of you a lot. Tries everything to impress you. So that's why the trainings are leaving you all sweaty and blushy.

°× He always the one to treat you wounds after missions. You tried to ask him why, but he shushed you multiply times or ignored you.

°× He uses it as a way to spend more time with you, but if anyone confronted him about it he denied it.

°× He praises you a lot to the other ninjas to the point that they bored to death during these yapping session.

°× He's that type of person who likes to help you. In fights, at trainings and other stuff.

°× Even though he flirted with you like no one else it took him by surprise when you kissed him.

Jay

°× He's a whole mess. That's why he keeps his love for you as a secret.

°× Probably Kai convinced him to make a move, but Jay just refused. So he admired you from the distance

°× He awkwardly invited you to play video games with him. He likes to spend time with you.

°× When you play with him his attention is more on you than the game so you beat him on the game quite a lot.

°× He acted like he was upset about it, but he loved to see you smile and little winning dance.

°× Jay is really physical touch type of person, you might feel his hand on your shoulder.

°× Whenever he steps in the room the first he does is look for your face.

°× He might write little poems about you in his secret diary. Admire every single thing about you.

°× He would die instantly if you ever found them.

°× He's the most subtle about it.

°× He's very observant when it comes for you. He remembers little details about what you like and your apperance.

°× His the first one who recognise if you changed something on yourself. Hair, stlye, anything.

°× Sometimes he points them out.

°× He's the quitest of the all the ninjas. That's why he likes to listen to you.

°× He likes to ask about your special interests so he can just listen to your cute voice.

°× He sometimes overhear you talking about what foods do you like and somehow the next day It's for lunch.

°× You asked him how does he always know what you like, but he just said "I don't know..Maybe I am a good guesser".

°× When his love for you was finally clear for him he asked Nya what should he do.

°× Her advices turned out well, but Zane was worried about losing you.

Cole

°× When he found out he fell in love he had a slight panic. You were really close friends, but if you don't feel the same it would destroy your friendship.

°× He was nervous around you. He didn't want to mess anything up. So he acted subtle about it.

°× But how he always made sure you take care of yourself made you question that It's more than just best friend thing.

°× Sometimes he sneaks out with you to the city to try new cakes at a local bakery. Such a sweet and innocent way to spend time with you.

°× You caught him staring at you a lot. Even from across the room. Those admiring eyes.

°× He became protective over you even more. He won't let anyone hurt you.

°× He shares his cake with you, no one else but you. It's a kind of way that he shows he has something for you.

°× When you guys hold eye contact he found himself lost in your eyes. He was awkwardly looking at you til you snapped him out of it.

°× He's extremely patient with you. He's with anyone, but with you even more.

°× His face immediately softens when he only hears your name.

Nya

(I had a lesbian panic while I was writing these headcanons lol)

°× For the first time she was confused why is her heart sped up around you all the time. Like why does she feel like this around you?

°× The confusion got replaced by a realisation. She didn't know what to do with this feeling.

°× She's normally a though girl, but this feeling got her soft and she didn't know how to feel about it.

°× She starts to open up about her life and her feelings what she doesn't share with anyone else.

°× She hugged you more often, totally acting platonic about it. She secretly or not likes physical touch.

°× Her love for you is far from secret. Everybody knew about it but they didn't dare to say anything about it.

°× She has a printed picture of you somewhere hidden in her gi. Even if you're not dating she likes to have your picture around her.

°× She started helping you a lot with your projects what you wanted to make (robots, guns, weapons etc.)

°× She feels no shame kicking butts who's owner hurt you. No one messes with her dear „best friend” under her watch.

°× Even though she knows you're fully capable to protect yourself she sometimes like to help out. She knows how is it feels so she only does it when you want her to.

I think these secretly in love headcanons ended up as not a secret. By the end I started adding dating headcanons. When I realised I'm doing that I tried to replace them, but I think I left some. I didn't have so much idea.

Sorry this is kinda short!! I just had thoughts and. here they are

Ninjago - Getting All Tucked In

Kai

BODYSLAMS YOU

I am so sorry but… that’s just how it is with him

He’ll wait until you’re all tucked in, then he’ll run at the bed and JUMP

Sometimes he aims to land on you, sometimes he aims for the place next to you

Just imagine that one markiplier gif (see below) but instead of going to punch you he has his arms open to wrap around you

^ him every night

Once you’re done scolding him for. that. Then he’ll cuddle up next to you as an apology

Unfortunately no amount of scolding will ever deter him from doing this literally every night

It’s rather jarring to go from “ah I’m ready for bed” to “IM BEING BODYSLAMMED” to “ah time for bed” again, but you both somehow don’t lose sleep over it

Cole

Likes to carry you to bed :]

The way I see it, you’ll both wait until you’re super sleepy before heading to bed

Then, wherever you are, he’ll insist on scooping you up to carry you

Even if you’re both just in the bathroom brushing your teeth and the bed is five steps away

He won’t hear any protests you give

It’s lowkey an excuse to hold you and cuddle when you settle down shhhh

If you start to fall asleep while he’s carrying you, he’ll be extra careful not to wake you

He also likes to switch up how he carries you, depending on his mood

Sometimes he’ll carry you bridal style, sometimes he’ll give you a piggy back, sometimes he just throws you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes (gently)

After a while you learn to just give in to it

Also always smiles while he carries you :)

Zane

He doesn’t just wait until you’re in bed; he waits until you’re at least half asleep

He’ll find something to do while he waits (usually chores)

Why does he do this? He doesn’t want to disturb you :(

But honestly it’s more disturbing how quiet he is when he finally tucks himself in

Like… does he think you’re going to murder him?? Why is he literally in full ninja mode

You actually get scared when he does this at least once

One moment you’re alone in bed and the next you sleepily open your eye and THERES SOMEONE NEXT TO YOU—oh it’s just Zane

You’ve tried to talk to him about it before, but he always insists on “not disrupting your routine”

He’s definitely anxious about getting in your way/disturbing you, but he also likes how peaceful you look as he silently slips in beside you

It’s relaxing for him to see you like that before he starts to recharge himself :]

Jay

Insists on being tucked in

He HAS to be the first in bed; he will literally run ahead of you to ensure this

If you ever get in before him, he’ll just sit on top of the covers and stare at you

If you play dumb (bc you know what he wants) he’ll clear his throat like “um I’m waiting”

Literally so needy 😭

He just loves the way you pull the covers over him and kiss his forehead

And when you slide in next to him? Bliss

It makes him feel safe knowing that you’re the one seeing him off to sleep

Not only does he get to see you before he drifts off (so he knows you’re there with him and you’re safe), but he trusts you more than anyone

He may be needy but he deserves someone like you who will do this for him :( my boy has trust issues

She gets in bed WAY after you

She likes to stay up, what can I say

An early bird and a night owl 😔

Dw though, she always tells you goodnight when you go to bed

Then, several hours later, she’ll come in and slide into bed next to you

OR BEHIND YOU AND SHES THE BIG SPOON OUUGHHHHH

She’ll wrap her arms around you and pull you in to kiss your head

If you stir awake, she shushes you, already half-asleep herself

But she doesn’t really try not to disturb you; she’s way too sleepy for that

So you probably will actually stir awake at some point

But then you both fall asleep pretty quickly, just cozied up together <3

a/n: okiiii heres part two, coles part seems so long, but they are kinda the same length. I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH!!!!

part one !!

warnings: non rly, not that i can remember lol

· He may be the Elemental Master of Earth, but under all those rocks he's a baby boy at heart.

HE.IS.THE.BEST.BOY.FRIEND.TO.HAAAVE!!! 

· First meeting wasn't anything new, you all met through Sensei Wu. You, Cole, Kai, and all the others. At first, you two were nothing but friends. Best friends for that matter...until a couple of years went by and Cole started to feel...different around you.

· He can't really be in the same room as you anymore without having to blush whenever he talked to you, but he was pretty good at hiding that from you. But once you're gone his face is red and you know Kai, and sometimes Jay, teases him for his crush on you.

· He thinks you're the greatest person to ever exist, need anything you go to him and he'll help you hands down!

· Expect a bunch of piggyback rides wherever you two go. Walking around the Monastery? You're on his back. Just making a quick run to the store, he'll carry you he does not think you're heavy at all.

· "It's like holding a pile of feathers." <3

· He can be very protective over you but he just wants you to be safe. He knows you can take care of yourself but he feels like a bad boyfriend if he can't do anything to help you when you need him.

· He also loves to cuddle. He's like a huge teddy bear you'd wanna hug forever! 

· Play with his hair, I swear it makes him feel so much better! All the stress he had rested on his shoulders drowned away when you touch his hair. You usually do it when you two are cuddling, or when he's angry at something and you use that to calm him down. 

· He loves to use nicknames for you, and the one he'll normally use is "Honey" or "Cake" ... Yeah, Cake. He loves cake and you're sweet like cake so boom it works. A rare one he'll also use is "BooBoo Bear." He will also use "Sweetheart" when he needs something from you, you learned that a little while ago.

· He's so scared to leave you alone during missions. There was this one time in the Sons of Garmadon take over, he, Kai, Jay, Zane, and Master Wu were sent to the Realm of Oni and Dragon for a little while and when they returned you were severely injured.

· He was scared to lose you, but when you recovered he gently tackled you into a hug and sobbed in your shoulder, you could feel his hands rub your back and grab the fabric of your clothes when he knew you were there, live and well. 

· He and you have karaoke moments together and it's hilarious when one of the others walks in on it. Cole's red from head to toe and you're just there standing like a statue as you look back from the said person and Cole.

· If it's one of the guys Cole will literally grab a pillow and throw it at them, chasing them out of the room but if it's Master Wu, Nya, or any one of the elders he'll cough nervously as he waits for them to leave. 

· You guys also cook together, but because Cole was banned from the kitchen, 3 times, Zane had to keep an eye out for the both of you if you were a decent cook and can handle both Cole and the cooking Zane will smile and leave the two of you be. 

· There was this one time Cole accidentally lit the inside of the oven on fire and a lot of baking soda was involved. After that, Cole usually just gets store-bought cakes or treats when he feels like it. 

· When you two sleep, he likes to have you in his arms. It makes him feel more confident and he knows you are protected. But that doesn't mean he doesn't like to be held, he loves it, especially by you.

· The covers are over both your bodies and the heat from his hold and the blanket made it feel like an active volcano in the bed. 

· Knowing Cole snores, (canaon) you don't really get affected by it in any way, but sometimes it does tend to get annoying but you say nothing because you don't want to make him upset in any way. Besides, everyone snores it's nothing to be ashamed of.

· In the mornings' Cole is normally unlikely to wake up before you. So you wake up in his arms under the covers, his chest to your back and his face by your neck. You sometimes tend to fall back asleep in his arms or you try your best to get out of bed....but that just normally wakes him up and you have a new problem to deal with.

· His phone wallpaper is the both of you on your first date at a bakery called "Cakes Delight" and you playfully rolled your eyes as Cole's eyes sparkled at the sight of all the flavors and dragged you into the bakery. 

· The photo is you with Cole's phone taking a bird's eye view angle pic. You had a cookie in your mouth winking at the camera giving a single finger gun to Cole's head, (for fun) all while Cole had three cakes on one plate, a smile on his face as it was stuffed with cake while he gave a peace sign for the photo. 

· When you're talking with one of your friends who came to the Monastery to hang out, Cole tends to wrap himself in a blanket and tackle you mid-conversation and playfully whine about 'being left alone' even though he had the guys to hang out with.

· Even though you two are a couple, he can't help but get butterflies every time you do something cute. Sneeze? He's smiling. Becoming clingy? His heart has melted.

 · He is very patient and understanding with you. He doesn't invade any of your personal life unless you talk to him about it. 

· Whenever you are angry he'll try his best to talk to you in the most sweetest tone you have ever heard and comfort you. Calming you down enough for him to be able to touch you and give you a hug.

· Sends you "good morning, my love. i hope you had an excellent sleep. breakfasts on the table for you on the kitchen counter downstairs. I and the other ninja will be outside in the courtyard if you need me to assist with anything you may need." in the mornings when he wakes up before you. he likes to wait until your awake to talk to you and won't bother your sleeping figure unless it's like 12:30 in the afternoon and you're still asleep. (you're just like me fr)

· also his goodnight texts>>

· "good evening, dove. i hope you do not stay up extremely late again so you do not wake up sad or grumpy. we already have kai, we do not need another one. make sure you brushed your teeth, floss, and washed your face. i hear washing one's face helps relax them. i love you to the moon and back. sweet dreams, my love."

· AAHHHHHH HE CARES ABOUT YOUR HEALTH SO MUCH!!!

· you taught him emoctions (or however you spell that word aahshsjbsj) like, "<3, :3, UWU," ETC, and now he uses the '<3' one in almost every text to show his love for you and your heart melts when he sends them and goes like "did i do that correct, my dear?"

· Every morning when he sees you walk into the kitchen, he falls in love with you all over again when he sees your sleepy state. Your eyes are droopy, you have some drool on your lips, and your hair is all over the place.

· While you eat his breakfast he'll pull up a chair behind you and offer to comb your hair (either it's long or short) he'll run his fingers through your hair once detangled.

· Because he can get a bit cold, one being the Master of Ice and two he's a Nindroid, whenever you both cuddle he'll have a blanket wrapped around, mostly you, the two of you as you both chat about your day.

· Tries to attempt a 'wink and walk away' but it just ends with him awkwardly blinking at you while Kai's laughing his ass off in the back.

· He was the first to confess his feelings towards you, with the help from his brothers, but they gave such bad advice he ended up short-circuiting because of how embarrassed he was.

· "I never knew Nindroids could get flustered." Jay joked while attempting to repair Zane with help from his Yang, Nya.

· You giggled as you took Zane's hand, who was lying down on a metal table. 

· "I love you too, Zane."

· His favorite place to kiss you is the back of your hand, palm, wrist, or knuckles. he's grown the habit of just taking your hand and placing it on his lips.

· "Zane, lemme have a turn with the dishes you've been doing every day of this week." You smiled at your boyfriend who sighed softly taking his hands out of the water and drying them. Before he left he turned around and grabbed your hand, turning it to show the back of your hand and pecking it, "I suppose you are right. Thank you, my love."

· Leaves you all red-

· Loves going grocery shopping with you, it makes his day 10x more special knowing he's with you and everything's ok. Sure you once lost him in a Metro but you soon found him...after 30 minutes of looking.

· Zane has an entire memory bank of just you and him stored inside of him while you have a photo album of you two (while ofc you have one for all your friends, including the others, but Zane is special <3)

Like, Jay would be walking into the living and randomly look up to see Lloyd in the rafters.

Wu was the only being in literal existence with the ability to coax him out.

Once all six were bored enough to start playing hide-and-seek. It lasted the whole day because of their stealth skills, the tracking they’d learned, and the fact that they knew each other too well.

Wu finally joined the game and found everyone in less than an hour. 

32: As a kid, with his instincts and past, Lloyd would bite if he needed to. If he was scared and someone’s threatening hand got too close, he’d bite.

You’d bet that Wu was practically immune to any attempts Lloyd made when he was still….. Adjusting to living on the Bounty and with the ninja. 

He doesn’t do it that much nowadays, but with the right circumstances….. Watch out.

Jay sometimes feels the urge to go outside in thunderstorms. According to Wu, this is normal for Lightning Elementals, but Wu still locks the doors and windows when a thunderstorm occurs. 

Wu also says that Jay has the worst “Element Trances” of any Lightning Elemental he’s seen for a while.

Likewise, other Elementals have trances of their own Elements.

Kai has this trance with Fire, if fire is nearby he knows it and he may just get into a trance.

Zane feels Ice the same way. 

Nya’s trances are more like Jay’s, but they don’t happen very often and she won’t wander off as much. 

Cole’s are in between, sometimes his trances are like Kai and Zane’s trances, other times they’re like Jay and Nya’s. He just feels the Earth. 

Lloyd’s are more like Cole’s, he just feels the Energy of everything.

You know what i love to headcanon.

Jay is actually the average height for males, maybe even just a tad above it. He’s gone through his whole life being told he’s tall or just no one even commenting on his height. But then he joins the ninja and God he hates their genes.

Like why are they towers, why are they so big in length, where does the width come from, why are they so bloody large this isn’t fair-

Even Nya, who used to be shorter then him and the average height for females, shot up to be just half a head taller then him and he hates it because why is that he’s now only barely taller then Lloyd.

He thinks he’s taller than Wu until the old man finally straightens his back. Mf TOWERS over him like how COLE AND ZANE DO.

He’s thankful everyday that Kai is only like a bit taller than Nya or he’d throw a fit every time they argued and Kai called him shortie whilst only being a head taller than him.

He fears the day Lloyd shoots up due to his own freaky genes.

(Jay has gotten into the habit of wearing platform shoes, all the ninja laugh at him for it but he has successfully intimidated them into not telling anyone.)

Ninja accent n language headcanons

Cole has a very thick city accent. He does his best to put on a more country accent to hide that he comes from the city. He does this well enough to convince the other ninja.

Jay has a very heavy country accent. He does his best to put on a more city accent to hide that he comes from the country. He does this well enough to convince all the ninja except for Cole.

Jay uses what he thinks is a lot of urban slang. Every time he uses a word wrong, it makes Cole die a little inside that he can’t correct blasphemous bastardisations of his native dialect. He uses words wrong every other time he opens his mouth.

Before she became an elemental master, Nya worked as a mechanic in the city and would pick up slang here and there. She was always excited to get back to the ninja and share her slang term of the week. Cole is perpetually on the brink of going insane.

Cyrus Borg also has a very thick city accent, but he speaks very neutrally at press conferences in order to promote a very global image for Borg Industries. When he’s only with the ninja, he speaks in the way that is most natural for him. Kai and Jay bet money that there’s no way that he actually talks like this. Kai and Jay owe Cole, who knows authentic speech when he hears it, money.

Wu has given up keeping up with current development in language.

Garmadon has also given up keeping up with current development in language but will horribly misuse modern slang in order to make Lloyd and the ninja cringe.

Every so often Wu will say a dated word and the ninja will make fun of him for the rest of the day.

Wu, in the city: it is getting late. We should go back to the monastery soon, before the traffic. Nya, where did you park the automobile?

Nya: the automobile?

Kai: prithee, the automobile must-th be-th a ten minute trod by foot northerly-eth.

Jay: Master, didst thou know-th of the Stone Warriors for thou wast there at their creation-th?

Cole: perchance

Nya and Kai made up their own language between themselves when they were kids and continue to use it in various situations to the present. Want to make fun of their babysitters without getting sent to time-out? Sibling language. Need to communicate in code to prevent enemies from intercepting vital information? Sibling language. Annoyed with the other ninja and don’t want them butting in on a conversation anymore? Sibling language.

Lloyd doesn’t have a very recognisable accent due to his time in boarding school surrounded by classmates from all over Ninjago. He’s jealous of the other ninja’s speech. He’s especially jealous of Kai and Nya’s sibling language, and that they were close enough friends growing up to develop it in the first place.

Zane can understand and produce standard varieties of all known languages. He does, however, have to draw a blank at Kai and Nya’s Sibling Speak. They exploit this gap in his knowledge with enjoyment.

Zane’s voice is based on recordings of the previous elemental master of ice’s voice, so the actual phonology of his speech always sounds a little bit dated.
