Baby Blue Dress {Z. Werenski}
Requested: Y/N
A/N: IM BACK BITCHES
Warnings: nah
"Zach! How does this look?" you asked emerging from your shared walk-in closet. You struck a little pose in the doorway for him to judge while waiting on bed.
"Just as amazing as the last one," he answered glancing at you before returning to the game on TV. It was evident he just wanted you to hurry and finish getting ready so you two could leave.
"I don't know," you murmured admiring yourself in the bathroom mirror. You slimmed down the dress over your tummy and thighs. You twisted and turned until it didn't fit like you wanted it to.
"Let me pick out your outfit," Zach huffed scooting past you and into the closet. He was in there for a few seconds and walked out with a baby blue dress in tow.
The dress had a similar color to the sky but lighter. It had thin spaghetti straps that held it up and displayed the perfect amount of cleavage. The dress fell just above your knees which was perfect for you.
"I haven't wore that in forever." In all honesty, you were surprised you still had that dress. The last time you wore it was before you and Zach started dating which was over two years ago.
"It'll be just like a fresh new look," he smiled handing it to you.
"Zach, I don't know if it'll fit let alone look good. My body has ch-"
"Put it on for me, c'mon," he whispered pecking your lips. "What's the worst that can happen?"
He was right, if anything you'd pick another dress from the many you had hanging up. As Zach padded back to the bedroom, walked into the closet to switch dresses. You peeled the one you had on off and slid the on the one he had picked. The baby blue dress slid on easily and zipped even easier.
"Zach?" You didn't even bother looking in the mirror prior. He diverted his attention to you and a smirk rose to his face. He didn't say anything but his eyes examined every inch of you.
"Beautiful," he muttered as he walked up to you. He pulled your waist into him as his hands found their way to your ass and hip. Your hands found home on the back of his neck to play with his hair. His lips collided with yours and the kisses were soft yet eager.
"Let me look," you managed to say separating yourself from Zach. He reluctantly let go and shifted his weight onto the doorframe that led connected the bathroom and bedroom. You spun around to the mirror and were met with shock. You smoothened the fabric out over your body and did some twists and turns. It fit like a glove. Zach had a proud grin as you admired yourself.
"Can we go now?" Zach asked walking back to the bedroom.
"Yeah, let me put on some lipstick really fast though," you replied shuffling through your mounds of makeup.
"No, don't put any on!" Zach shouted startling you a bit.
"What? Why?"
"Whenever you out lipstick on I can't kiss you because I end up looking with I have a rash," he sassed slipping on a pair of shoes.
You laughed and put down your classic red lipstick. You opted for a tinted lip balm instead. "How's this?"
"I don't know lets see." Zach came up and pressed a firm kiss to your lips. He separated and checked his face in the mirror to reveal no transfer. "Perfect. I don't think I would've been able to keep my hands off of you otherwise," he smirked. You shook your head and turned away laughing only for him to lightly spank your ass.
"What made you pick this dress? Like if all of them, this one?"
"This is what you were wearing the first time I saw you. It hugs you perfectly and it's easy to slip off of I remember." He topped it off with a wink causing you to roll your eyes.

Columbus Part One (Zach Werenski) *Requested*
I was feeling inspired which worked out well...because @juicyhockey asked for something for “sad boi Zach Werenski”. I don’t know how many parts it’ll be yet...Maybe three? We’ll see.
Requested: Technically
Warnings: Nope
Requests: Open
Well Y/N, you thought to yourself, only 15 states left to live in. Pretty good for someone who is only twenty. It was a shame though that this was only the second state you had willingly chosen to live in. Both of your parents had been in the military so you moved around continuously until you turned seven and your life changed. They were on their way home for leave and their plane had been shot from the sky.
Youd been placed in the system...where you moved from place to place, state to state until at age 16 you’d had enough. You had chose to leave the system and strike out on your own. It was one of the hardest things you’d ever done and for a while you really struggled. But you did it. You earned your GED and worked three jobs to make ends meet. You’d taken online college classes and at age 19 had received a full ride Ohio State based on academics.
So here you were, starting over...again...in Ohio. The university had included a small one bedroom apartment within your scholarship, and you had gratefully accepted since it came with everything you needed. You’d arrived in Columbus from Nowhere, Oklahoma. That was the actual name of the town you’d lived in before...it wasn’t even really a town. You’d had to drive 15 minutes to get to a stoplight...and thirty minutes to get to an actual town. But you’d lived with a widow who just wanted company and needed help with chores around the house. So you’d lived rent free and were able to save all the money earned from your waitressing job.
Ms. Jackson had encouraged you to apply to school and once you’d been accepted she had happily decided to move to a retirement community in Tulsa. She would have her own space, a maintenance man, and a small garden, which according to her was all an old woman could want. You had purchased her car from her for $500 plus the price of dropping her off in Tulsa. She was the closest you’d ever had to a grandmother and one of about six contacts in your phone. Living with her for those seven months had been one of the best things that had ever happened to you.
You looked over your relatively empty apartment. You’d arrived in Columbus two hours ago and already had unpacked your meager possessions. The closet was not even halfway full, there were no dishes in the kitchen, no decorations in the living room save a picture in a vintage frame of you and Ms. Jackson that she had gifted you. Your bedside table had two pictures of you and your parents one on a beach in Hawaii when you were five and the other at the Grand Canyon in Arizona...the last state you’d lived in with them.
“Maybe I should go to the store,” You said to yourself. “Maybe I should stop talking to myself while I’m at it.” Before you left you did what you always did...made a list, starred the most important items, looked through and clipped coupons from the paper, added coupons online to your grocery rewards card, and set a budget. This process was a bit tedious...but in the end always saved you money and made your shopping trip so much easier.
You scanned over the list one last time before grabbing your keys and heading out. You locked the apartment door and headed down the stairs to the quad that all of the apartment buildings shared. You weren’t exactly in the mood to be social so you hurried to the area where apartment dwellers could park their cars.
A quick 10 minutes later and you’d made it to the store. You blew your hair out of your face. “Let’s do this thing.” You grabbed a cart and situated the list in the baby seat and then headed in.
Bread was first, followed by fresh produce, taco shells, mac and cheese, spices, flour, sugar, forty other things, a gallon of milk, and the most important part of the trip...a quart of ice cream. After loading everything into the reusable shopping bags you had also purchased (reduce, reuse, recycle buddies), you made your way to your car. A group of guys had parked next to you and were in the process of getting out, so you stood to the side so they wouldn’t feel rushed.
After they’d cleared the area you began to load your bags inside the trunk.
“Hey…” You jumped at the sound of the voice behind you and hit your head on the trunk. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you!”
You rubbed the back of your head as you looked at the stranger. It was one of the guys from the car that had parked beside you. He had short dark hair and a small scar on his cheek. He was also built very nicely….NOT that you’d noticed. “It’s okay. I just thought all of you had left...so I wasn’t really expecting to hear anybody. Can I help you?”
“I actually stopped to ask you that,” He chuckled. “Would you like some help loading your car?”
“Um...sure. I’m not going to protest if you want to help out.”
“Are you on vacation? Or did you just move here?” Your expression was obviously confused because he nodded towards your car. “The Oklahoma license plate kinda gave you away.”
“Oh!” You gave a light laugh. “Yeah, I’m starting classes at OSU this semester. Are you and your friends students there?”
“No. We all work together, but we’re having a party to celebrate Cam’s new son...that was the short blond guy.”
“Oh okay! Tell him I said congrats.” You loaded the last bag and closed the trunk. “Thanks for the help...really showing off that Ohio hospitality.”
He scoffed, “I’m from Michigan. We’re the hospitable ones.”
“Ahh...so the rivalry I read about it real and thriving?”
“You better believe it. So if you’re going to be a Buckeye then we can’t be friends...sorry. I don’t make the rules.”
You gave a mock sigh. “I’ve never really been a sports person...so I don’t think we need to become enemies just yet.”
“Not a sports person? Maybe we should be enemies.” He teased.
You laughed. “I just wasn’t raised around sports...it’s probably a good thing. I’m way too competitive to get into sports. I’d probably riot if my team lost.”
He shot you a smile, “Maybe it is for the better then.”
You bit your lip. “Thanks again for the help...but I should probably go. I don’t want my frozens to melt.”
“No problem.” He stuck his hand out. “It was nice to meet you…”
“Y/N.” You said in response to his questioning look. You shook his hand. “The feeling is mutual…”
“Zach.”
“Well, Zach. It was nice to meet you. Maybe we’ll run into each other again.”
“I sure hope so.” You blushed but waved at him as he headed into the store. Who knows? Maybe Ohio wouldn’t be so bad afterall.
Let me know if you see any blazing errors!

Zach Werenski - Jealousy Type
Masterlist
word count: 1,381
I don’t normally go out and I don’t normally drink. I just never wanted to drink alcohol and I like to remember everything that happens the night before. I like knowing what I talked to people about.
Zach wanted me to come out with him and some of his friends and hang out. At first, I said no like I always do but I saw Zach getting ready to meet up with the guys and saw how hot he looked and then I was thinking how many girls come up to him and talks to him and tries to get in his pants. I never asked him.
“Hey, babe I have a question.” If I didn’t ask him I would be thinking about it all night and wouldn’t be able to sleep till he came home and that wouldn’t be till late.
“Ask away beautiful,” He said from the bathroom. I could see he was fixing his hair.
“When you go out with the guys do girls come up to you?” I started messing with my hands.
“Yes?” He walks out and looks at me a little confused.
“Do they flirt with you?”
“Yes but I don’t flirt back. I tell them I have a girlfriend and then they leave, well some of them,” he mumbled the last part.
“What do you mean some leave?”
“Y/N look they can flirt all they want I am not going to flirt back. I’m not going to go home with them. I am going to come home to you sleeping in our bed and wrap my arms around you and think about how I got so lucky.” Zach walked over to me sat on the bed and wrapped his arms around me as he said it.
I trust Zach 100% but I just don’t trust the girls that are talking to him. It got me thinking what if I go out tonight and see what happens maybe no girls come up to him because I’m there maybe girls come up to him when I am seating right next to him and she flirts with him anyways.
“You know what I think I am going to go out with you.” I got up from the bed and walked over to the closet.
“This isn’t because girls are coming up to me and flirting is it?” It had everything to do with that.
“No of course not. I just want to spend more time with you that's all.” I could tell by the look on his face that he knows I was lying but he didn’t say anything.
“Well if you're going to go out then you should wear that black dress I bought you a while back that you never wore.”
“I haven’t had a place to wear that's why I haven’t worn it.”
“I know so wear it tonight for me please.” How could I say no to that face?
It didn’t take me long to get ready I walked into the living room where Zach was waiting for me. He was watching highlights of the Blue Jackets from the other night. I don’t think he heard he walk in I was still in my bare feet I didn’t want to put my heels on yet till we are walking out the door.
“Are you ready to go or did you want to watch more hockey highlights?” I saw him jump a little. He turned to TV off and stood up.
“I am ready just-“ He stopped mid-sentence and looked at me I saw his eyes moving up and down my body.
“What you don’t like the dress? I can change into a different one.”
“No I love the dress but I think I am going to have to kick some guys asses tonight if I see them looking at you because babe you look smoking hot.” I turned away from him because I knew I was blushing. “Come on let's go the guys are waiting for us.” Zach put his arm behind my back and led me to the door.
I put my shoes on quickly and walked to the car where Zach was holding the door open for me. Once I got in I was waiting for him to close the door but he led over to me pressed his lips to him and just like every time I kiss him it's like the first time I get butterflies. I put my arms around his neck to pull him a little closer he smiled into the kissed and pulled away.
“Damn I don't know how I am going to keep all the guys away.” I laughed and pushed him out the car. He finally closed my door and walked over the driver's seat. Once he started the car he put his hand on my thigh and started rubbing circles with his thumb.
Once we walked in the first thing I noticed was a group of girls looking at Zach and smiling.
“Don’t worry about them babe lets go grab a drink.” Zach put his hand on my lower back and guides me to the bar.
“You never said what guys you were meeting here,” I asked him while we were waiting for our drinks.
“That would be us.” I look behind me and I see Auston Matthews and some of the other Toronto Maple Leafs. I turn around fully and give Auston a hug. I have known Auston just as long as I have known Zach. Auston and I are always texting and calling each other. He’s is one of my best friends.
“Why didn’t you tell me that you were meeting them here?” I look my boyfriend sitting on the bar stool just smiling at me.
“I didn’t want you to come out just to see them because I know you don’t like going out so I thought if you didn’t come out tonight we would just meet up with them in the morning for breakfast.” I went over to Zach stood in between his legs wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him his arms went around my waist and his hands landed on my butt.
“Okay, that's enough grab your drinks and let go over to the table.” Zach and I laughed took our drinks and followed Auston to the table.
I took a seat in between Auston and Zach. Zach put his arm around my chair while I moved a little closer to him because I have been looking at the group of girls that were looking at him when we first walked in and they haven’t taken their eyes off him yet and its kinda pissing me off.
“What’s got you so worked up?” Auston asked looking at me.
“What are you talking about?”
“He’s talking about how you haven’t said one word since getting to the table and you haven’t looked at anyone since sitting down what are you looking at Y/N?” Zach followed my eyes and they landed on the group of girls. “Are you still looking at them?”
“They haven’t taken their eyes off you, Zach.” Before I got to say anything a server came over with a couple drinks and set them in front of a couple guys Auston, William Nylander, Mitch Marner, Cam Atkinson, and Zach.
“We didn’t order these,” Cam told the guy.
“A group of girls over there did.” He pointed at the girls I have been eyeing this whole time.
“You have got to be kidding me.” Everyone looked at me and smiled.
“Can you take mine back and say thank you but no thank you I have a girlfriend,” Zach said handed his drink back to the guy and then all the guys did the same thing.
“We all have girlfriends back home that might not like us taking drinks from others girls.” Mitch was the last to give his drink to the guy.
“Wait I didn’t know Auston had a girlfriend.” I looked over at him.
“I don’t but if one of us accepts the drink then they all might come over and that might not end well.” I smiled at me and thanked him.
“Babe you know I never knew you were the jealous type.”
“I didn’t think I was till now.”

Zach Werenski as a boyfriend
yeaaahhhhh this was a longtime coming but its finally here
masterlist (yes I know it’s not currently working for most people, including me, but hopefully it will someday)
so as ive said before
aint no motherfucker with big dick energy like Zach motherfucking werenski
there’s something very calm about him
like he could never be stressed about a thing
so when youre freaking out over something or stressing (or pms:ing) he’s so fucking chill and handles you so well
he’ll get you whatever food you like, he knows just what to say to make you calm down, he’ll hold you in his arms and gently caress your back in the most soothing way possible
such a good boyfriend
oh and like obviously he’s still human so he does get stressed, def
like over a loosing streak or something
he doesnt really talk a lot about it but he doesnt have to
whenever he’s upset he comes to you and he’s all quiet but clingy because he just wants you to hold him
so you do
and he loves it when you tickle his neck or drag your nails over his back
he gets chills all over
and yeah it turns him on a little lbr
and he knows that if he ever wants to talk about it you’re there and you’ll listen
so now can we talk about the thickness
like WOW
as I said, big dick energy
so he doesnt feel the need to like show off or anything
except for when it comes to you
he loves working out with you because he wants to show you how strong he is
because lets not fool ourselves he’s such a fucking dude
normally you just laugh at him
but yeeeaahhhh we cant deny it it’s sexy as fuck
god he’s ripped
AND THAT ASS
honestly you’re more obsessed with his ass then he is with yours
when he’s cooking you like to come up behind him and rest your face on his back and you put your hands just on top of his ass so its like innocent but you know what youre doing
and he knows too
sometimes you slap it
but whenever you do you know he’s about to whoop your ass
like he’ll chase you around the entire town if he has to
throws you over his shoulder and slaps your ass while he’s carrying you into the bedroom
and then he fucks you so fucking good
so you dont live together
yet
but you basically live together
like you have pretty much half his closet
and whenever he gets something for his place he brings you with because he wants your opinion
and then he basically just lets you pick
like when he got a new couch he just dragged you along and said “pick one” and now he has a new couch
you guys broke the bed (😁) so the next day he dragged you along to get a new one and his only concern was that you were gonna like it
“do you want a bigger one?”
“its your bed, Zach?”
“yeah but you’ll be sleeping in it so do you think we should get a bigger one?”
yes he says “we” because he intends to have you move In for real soon
he makes you playlists with songs that remind him of you
Poetic - Seinabo Sey
Naked - James Arthur
For you - James TW
Nothing Really Matters - Mr. Probz
Pink + White - Frank Ocean
pretty much everytime Ed Sheeran drops something he sends it to you immediately saying its about you
when he’s been on a roadtrip and comes home he always makes sure you’re at his place when he gets there and you immediately go to bed
if you have energy then yeah you obv fuck
if youre tired he’ll just hold you so fucking tight and smell you and kiss your neck until you both fall asleep
you wake up still in his arms just as tight btw
if its the middle of the night and youre sleeping he literally just storms in, drops his shit on the floor and strips and then he lays down and pulls you over him
youre now sleeping on his chest because thats the closest he can be to you without him accidentally killing you when youre sleeping
he gets a lil protective over you but he doesnt show it
lets you be because he trusts you but hes always looking out for you
if a guy bothers you he’s there in 0.1 secs though
and if he’s suspecting some guy will try something he’s lowkey on edge all the time until you get home and he can finally relax
and no one notices any of this, except you of course
but youre just happy he respects boundaries and lets you be until something actually happens
so when you get home and he relaxes you always snuggle or fuck or just anything so you can really get him to calm down
and to show him you’re all his and nothings gonna change

Babysitting - Zach Werenski
Requested: Yes. I LOVE ZACH WERENSKI AND YOUR WRITING! Can i please gat a single dad Zach story?
Warnings: None.
Requests are open!
“Daddy,” the three-year-old shouted while running to her father as you stood a few feet in front of them.
“Hey, princess. I missed you.” He carried her, dropping his bags by the door. “Did you have fun?”
His daughter nods, “Me and Y/N had a lot of fun. And I got to watch you play hockey since it wasn’t night time.” She smiled, proudly.
“That’s awesome,” your boyfriend, Zach happily says to his daughter. He kisses her cheek before placing her back on her feet. “I can’t wait to hear all about it.”
“Can I show you the pictures we made for you?”
“Of course.”
Both of you watched as the little girl ran to her bedroom. When you and Zach first met, him being a single father was the first thing he told you. He was already nervous he walked up to you at the bar. He almost didn’t go up to you, but his friends talked him through it and he was so happy they did. After telling you he had a kid, he was full of regret and thought you’d walk away. Instead, you giggled at Zach’s reaction. You were the complete opposite of the other girls he talked to. Others either would stop talking to him or they straight up told him they wouldn’t be able to handle it. You were different. You loved how great of a father Zach was to Haley. She was his first priority and you understood that. She adored him.
Over the weekend, Zach’s babysitter had to cancel last minute and you hesitantly offered to watch Haley. You weren’t sure if either of them would be comfortable with it. You’ve been dating Zach for a little over a year and met Haley about five months into the relationship. She got so excited when Zach asked if she was comfortable with you watching her for the weekend. She loved you and Zach couldn’t thank you enough when you offered because his child wasn’t the easiest to watch.
Haley had the best time with you and even told you that you were a better babysitter. It made your nerves go away thinking she would’ve hated you before the weekend ended.
“She didn’t give you a hard time, did she?” Zach asked, nervously. He was thinking something bad happened and you didn’t want to watch her anymore.
“Of course not. She was amazing. She’s a lot more fun than you,” you joked.
Your boyfriend chuckles, going in for a kiss. “That’s awesome then. I was honestly nervous.” He couldn’t tell you the number of times a babysitter had quit because they couldn’t deal with her. Luckily, you gained a connection and bond with his daughter. No one ever wanted to have patience with Haley.
“So was I. But we had a lot of fun. You don’t need to worry. She went to bed on time, helped clean up her toys when I asked her, took a nap when she was supposed to,” you explained as you wrap your arms around his waist.
Zach looks at you in shock. His daughter hardly ever listened to her babysitters and even some of his friends and family members who have watched her before. Haley only ever listened to her father and now you. “You’re joking.”
“I’m not,” you chuckled. “She was amazing. Even asked for me to sleep with her one night. She had a nightmare. I’d love to be able to watch her again if you’d let me for the next road trip.”
He didn’t think he could fall in love with you more, but he did.
“Daddy look,” Haley ran back in the room, shouting. She held out the two pictures you both colored to show to her dad. Her toothless grin and how she stood proud of her art made him smile. To him, he was the cutest little girl ever and no one could argue with him on it. “Me and Y/N colored them for you.”
“Those look amazing,” Zach bent down to Haley’s height admiring the two pictures. One with scribbles and colored outside the lines and the other perfectly inside the lines. He loved it and took them to place on the fridge next to each other. You laughed to yourself as you see him also put yours up.
“Y/N is the bestest babysitter ever. She’s my favorite,” the three-year-old bragged as she clung herself to your leg. “Can she watch me again next time, daddy?”
“Maybe you should ask Y/N?”
Haley whips her head to look up at you with the biggest smile on her face, “Can you Y/N? Please?”
“Of course, little one,” you giggled.
“She said she will, daddy,” she shouted, jumping on her father.
Zach laughed as he held her close again. You gave each other eye contact as him and his little princess hug it out. He knew you’d be around for a long time.

Stanley—Z. Werenski
Message me to request an imagine.
Not a request. No warning. Check my blog for master list or search for more in blog with #hockeyimagine
You and Zach were ecstatic the day you found out you were having your first child. You both planned and planned for the baby’s arrival. The whole time you kept feeling like you were forgetting something.
As you stared down at your newborn son, zoning in and out of consciousness, you smiled at Zach. “He’s so handsome, just like you,” you mumbled.
Zach smiled. “Y/N, what names did we come up with?” He asked you.
That’s what you had forgotten. “We forgot. Just pick a damn name. I’m going to sleep,” you mumbled once more before handing your son to him and falling asleep.
Zach stared at you and then to baby boy in his arms. He looked up to the nurse that was in the room. She laughed at his panicked look. “Don’t worry,” she told him. “Just sit down in the chair and bathe in glory of being a first time dad.”
“But the name,” he panicked, “We completely forgot to come up with a name list. What do I call him?”
“You’re not the first parents to not have a list ready to go when their baby is born,” the nurse said. “You can call him son, baby, baby werenski, or you could pick a name for him. Your girlfriend did say to just pick a name. She can sleep for another hour and then has to wake up to feed your son. In the meantime, just bond with your son and maybe come up with a name for him.”
The nurse left, leaving Zach and his baby boy. “Well, buddy, it’s you and me for a bit. Your name isn’t Buddy,” he rambled. “Buddy Werenski just doesn’t have the right ring to it. You’re a tiny little guy. You’ll get bigger though. You and me will be mama’s macho men. We’ll take care of her and your little sister that you’ll have someday. It’ll be awhile before she comes though.
“What if we named you after one of the guys? Cam? Seth? Nick? Sergei? Alex? Boone? Brandon? Pierre? They’d love it. I don’t know how mama would feel about that. I hope we win the the Cup this season. I mean I always want to win the Cup and I always will. It’s be cool to win it with you as a baby so I could put you in it,” Zach smiled at the thought. “You could tell kids that you sat in the Stanley Cup and that it’s your cup.”
Zach grinned. “It will be your Cup. I need to call Cam.”
“Why do you need to call Cam?” Zach glanced over and saw you were awake now.
“I need him to order a sippy cup that says Stanley’s Cup.”
“Why?”
“Because I think it would be funny for our son to have that sippy cup and drink from it when he’s sitting in the Stanley Cup,” Zach paused, “And his name is Stanley.”
“Stanley,” you repeated. “You’ve named our son Stanley. His name is Stanley Werenski.”
“It is,” he confirmed. “You can give him a middle name but i have named him Stanley because you told me to come up with a name for him and I have. If you’re not a fan of Stanley, we could always call him Stan or Lee or whatever his middle name is.”
You smiled. “I want it to be Ryan so at least he has a decent option.”
Zach chuckled. He handed the boy back to you. “Welcome to the world, Stanley Ryan Werenski.”

prompt: Hey can I have a zach werenski imagine where he proposes? (from anonymous)
player: Zach Werenski, Columbus Blue Jackets
“Hey, babe? I’m home!” You call into the apartment, voice muffled by the scarf wrapped tight around your face to protect you from the howling wind in the streets outside. You pause when you hear a cut-off curse and a clatter from the kitchen nearby. Your boyfriend appears in the doorway, face red and slightly sweaty.
“Oh, hey, (Y/N), what’s up? I didn’t, uh, know you would be home this early!” Zach says, not-so-casually leaning against the doorframe to block your view of the kitchen. His dark hair is mussed on one side, and his clothes are in disarray.
“...yeah, I managed to get away early.” You say, quirking an eyebrow. You move towards the doorway he’s in, and he jumps forward, wrapping one arm around your shoulders and steering you towards the living room. You offer him a confused smile, sure something is up but without any clue as to what it is. He grins back at you and nudges you down on the couch.
“Well, good! Stay right there, I’ll grab you something to drink!” He’s off before you can even say thank you, bustling back into the kitchen. He returns with a glass and a bowl of chips, setting them down. “Here, have the remote, put your feet up, relax!”
“Thanks, babe, but what—” you start. Zach isn’t normally this frantic-cheerful, so you’re kind of worried something’s gone wrong. You stop trying to talk when he leans down to kiss you, running a hand through your hair. You relax into it, feeling the tension leech out of his body too as you rest one hand on his shoulder and one over his heart.
“I’ll be back, okay? Why don’t you put on something to watch?” Zach suggests, leaning back. Shaking your head, you agree and rest back against the arm of the couch, wrapping your arms around a pillow. Zach smiles at you and disappears out of the room, head down as he mutters something to himself.
You’ve only gotten a few minutes into the episode of Scrubs you put on when a heavy thump echoes in the apartment. Worried, you sit up and call out.
“Zach? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, baby, just, uh, slipped! Everything’s fine!”
‘You sure?”
“Yeah, yeah!” You sit back again and frown, reluctantly returning your attention to the TV again, fiddling with the pillow’s edge. Only a few minutes later, you hear him yelp out a curse as there’s another loud crash. That’s enough for you. It was kind of funny watching him try to be subtle while it lasted. but you’re worried he’s going to hurt himself any minute now. Tossing your pillow to the side, you storm across the room.
“Zach, seriously, what is going on? Is something wr—,” you stop in your tracks as you reach the doorway. “Oh.” Zach is staring wide-eyed at you as he tries to cover the mess he’s made. “Oh, boy.”
The kitchen is wrecked, frankly. The stove and the wall behind it is covered in red sauce and there’s dry spaghetti everywhere, scattered across the floor and countertops. There’s at least twenty different dishes piled haphazardly in the sink, and the oven door is wide open, spilling heat out into the room. The source of the crash seems to be the tray of what looks like garlic bread sitting upside down on the floor, its contents forlornly scattered around it. You take in the entire mess and slowly drag your gaze up to where your boyfriend is standing in the middle of it, cheeks bright red.
“It’s not as bad as it looks,” he says immediately. You raise an eyebrow and he winces. “Alright, so it’s as bad as it looks.” He sighs and drops his head, scrubbing a hand through his hair and getting red sauce all through it. “I tried to make dinner for you, but the spaghetti went everywhere and only like half of it went in the pot, then the red sauce overheated and got all over and I think it burned on the bottom, so I was distracted trying to fix that, and then I thought the garlic bread was done so I went to get it out of the oven but I forgot a mitt and I burned my fingers and dropped the tray, so now it’s all over the floor, and—”
You can’t help but start to giggle, only laughing harder when Zach pouts at you.
“This isn’t funny, (Y/N), nothing went right.” He’s frowning at you as you try to stop yourself from laughing, clapping a hand over your mouth, but it’s just so adorable. He’s a mess, but he’s your mess. You smile at him and pull a hand towel from the countertop as you walk over.
“Zach, you don’t have to cook me dinner,” you say, still grinning as you wipe off the worst of the sauce all over his face and hair.
“But—”
“There’s no need to be so upsetti, spaghetti,” you continue.
“You’re the worst,” he laughs, shoulders slumping. He rests his hands on your hips as you finish cleaning him off. You lean up onto your tiptoes to press a kiss to his cheek.
“Oh, am I? I’m the worst? That’s not a very nice thing to say,” you tease. Zach rolls his eyes and pokes at you, laughing as you flinch away, ticklish. “Uh-uh, mister, no way. You’ve got a mess to clean up.” Zach makes a face, scrunching up his nose, hazel eyes bright.
“Alright, alright, I know,” he says mournfully, looking around.
“How about this? I’ll go get takeout from that place we love on 5th while you clean this up and take a shower.”
“I love you, you know that?” Zach says, smiling again.
“I love you, too,” you laugh as you blow him a joking kiss goodbye, wrapping yourself up in your scarf again.
***
You’re greeted at the door of the apartment an hour later by a squeaky clean boyfriend and a soft kiss as he takes your coat and the food from you, wrapping an arm around your waist and guiding you to the living room. You stutter-step as you catch sight of the room.
Everything is bathed in the soft light of what seems like a hundred candles, flickering flames lending a golden glow to the otherwise dark room. Gentle music plays in the background, a mix of acoustic songs that weave guitars in with soft voices. There’s a beautiful bouquet of flowers in the vase on the coffee table, soft sprays of baby’s breath mixed in with rich red roses. Zach grins at your reaction and guides you, stunned, to sit on thick cushions pilfered from the couch to rest on the floor. You turn to blink at Zach, wide-eyed. He shrugs bashfully.
“It would’ve been like this last time, but you came home early.” You laugh and throw your arms around his shoulders, feeling his own come around you to bring you close to his chest.
“It’s beautiful, you romantic sap!” You exclaim, eyes shining as you lean back. “Thank you,” you add, knowing the expression on your face must be the most love-struck thing. You happily dish up the food, splitting the entrees between you as you always do.
The dinner passes in comfortable discussion and laughter as the two of you get entirely wrapped up in each other. Eventually, Zach gets up to gather your plates and shakes his head when you offer to help.
“I’ll be right back, just have to get something from the kitchen,” he says. As he turns to go, you tip your head back to blink up at the ceiling, unable to stop yourself from grinning. You’re so in love with him, it feels like it’s going to burst right out of you. The feeling only intensifies when Zach reappears, waggling his eyebrows as he proudly shows off a little cheesecake made for two. You laugh at his antics and applaud appropriately as he sets down the dessert with a flourish.
The treat doesn’t last long, since both of you have a bit of a weakness for cheesecake, and you soon find yourself laughing as Zach tries to get a bit of chocolate off his cheek with his tongue.
“Come here, dork,” you chuckle, leaning forward. Your palm is warm on his cheek, thumb brushing away the chocolate. As you move to pull away, Zach’s palm covers yours, dark eyes earnest as he leans his head into your hand. His eyelashes flutter as his eyes close, sighing as he turns to press a kiss to your palm.
“Come on,” he says quietly, “Let’s lie down.” He links his fingers with yours and won’t let go, even when there’s some finagling to get you both in the position he wants. He’s flat on his back and you’re tucked between the back of the couch and his chest, head cushioned on his right shoulder and bicep as his arm curls around you, thumb brushing absentmindedly up and down your arm. You’re beginning to drift off to the steady sound of his breathing when he shifts under you.
“(Y/N), can I ask you something?” You lift your head to meet his gaze. Zach looks nervous, brows slightly drawn down and mouth tight.
“Always, babe. What is it?”
“I...never mind.” You furrow your brow.
“You sure?”
“Yeah, don’t worry about it.” Zach seems to trying to smooth his expression, but he still looks nervous and a little...something else you’re not sure of. Disappointed? Concerned, you hitch yourself up and look down at him, hair falling a little into your face. He reaches up and tucks it behind your ear.
“You can tell me, you know,” you say, a little pleading.
“I know, baby.”
“I love you.”
“I know, baby.”
“You’re a dork.”
“I know, baby.”
“Can you say anything else?”
“No, baby.”
“Now that’s just cruel,” you pout. Zach cracks a grin and pulls you back down to his chest, pressing his face to your hair.
“I love you, too,” he mutters. You laugh and pat his chest, resting your hand over his heart.
“I know, baby.” The music in the background fills the silence, and the comfort of the night wraps around the two of you as you cuddle together. Eventually, the song changes to a cover of Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon”, and you grin into Zach’s chest as he begins to move his shoulders to the beat.
“Alright, alright, come on,” you say, climbing off him to offer him a hand up, using it to pull him close to you. You link your fingers together and drape your other hand over his right shoulder as he curls his around your waist. Together, you sway to the beat, Zach humming under his breath. You rest your head on his shoulder and begin to quietly sing.
“Come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say. Just like children sleeping, we could dream this night away.” Your voice is nothing to really call home about, but you’re not self-conscious around Zach and don’t mind singing around him when you wouldn’t with others.
The song continues playing as the two of you sway, pressed close together in the middle of your living room. You press a kiss to the bottom of Zach’s jaw and shift back to look him in the eye, smiling softly. Zach looks back at you, fondness written across his expression.
“Marry me,” he says. You blink at him and your lips part in shock.
“What?”
“Marry me, (Y/N),” Zach repeats, that same fond look still on his face. “I’ve never loved anything like I love you.” He extracts himself from your hold but doesn’t let go of your hand. Your free hand flies to your mouth as he drops to the ground on one knee, reaching back to pull out a black box and flick it open one-handed.
You don’t even look at the ring. He’s all you can see.
“Let me spend the rest of my life at your side, (Y/N). Let me be there when you go to bed at night and be the first thing you see in the mornings. Let me try to make you dinner and let me hear you laugh when I fail. Let me be there for your ups and the downs, let me have you with me when I succeed and when I fail. Let me hold you close and let me love you the only when I ever will — wholly and unconditionally. (Y/N), will you marry me?”
Somehow, through the tears on your cheeks, the smile on your face, and the happy laugh bubbling out of your chest, you manage to nod and tell him the truest thing you’ve ever said.
“Yes! Yes, I’d love to marry you!” You barely wait for the ring to slip onto your finger before you’re kissing him senseless, so happy you can barely breathe. “I love you, I love you, I love you,” you keep repeating between kisses, the both of you unable to stop grinning.
“I love you, too,” Zach says, hugging you tight.
You’re not letting go anytime soon.

Zach Werenski - Michigan Athletes Part 3
Team: Columbus Blue Jackets
Requested: Yes: part 3 to Michigan athletics!!
Edited: Yes
Word count: 768
Summary: You surprise him at one of his games
Part 1
Part 2
~
Let’s be honest, Zach is more proud of my athletic career than I am of his.
At least it’s believed to be that way by the public.
He makes more posts on social media about my volleyball career and even retweets Michigan volleyball tweets often.
I do support him, trust me, I want him to succeed with everything in my heart, it’s just that he’s protective of the fact that I’m his girlfriend and wants to show it off to everyone.
But now it’s my turn.
No matter how many times I’ve seen a Blue Jackets game, I’ve never met any of the players.
They always go out for a celebratory drink and I don’t go with because I’m not the legal age.
Or I have a test the next day.
Or they always have to fly out of the city as soon as the game is over.
There’s multiple, bizarre reasons I’ve never met the boys.
But no matter what, I’m going to meet them tonight.
I decided to surprise Zach by taking a few days off school and driving down to Columbus to see them play in two home games.
Truth be told, I’m excited.
I spend hundreds of dollars on a front row ticket- I know I could just ask Zach, but I really wanted to surprise him.
Something I didn’t have to spend money on is the ‘Werenski’ jersey Zach gave me after our first date.
I’m wearing it now as I sit in my seat waiting for warmups to start.
I made sure to arrive early.
The jersey sits on my shoulders and I have a Blue Jackets logo on my right cheek- I wanted to make sure the guys know I support them.
When the players skate onto the ice I stare in awe.
It always amazes me to see the Blue Jackets play.
Even though every team has their own unique thing they do, I like the Blue Jackets the most.
A few of the boys notice me and smile and wave, which I do back.
Some of them know me because of social media and I guess all of them know me from what Zach’s told them about me.
Hopefully all good things.
I watch my boyfriend concentrate on his stretches on the other side of the ice, and watch intently as Cam Atkinson skates up to him, bends down, and starts to talk to him.
Suddenly Zach looks in my direction.
I grin excitedly when we make eye contact and he lights up.
He jumps up and skates the fastest I’ve ever seen him skate over to me, checking the glass in front of me.
Then he turns around, smiling at me.
I rest my hands on the glass and his gloves cover mine on the other side.
“I didn’t know you were going to be here,” he hollers.
I can barely hear him over all of the screaming kids near me.
“That’s the point, I wanted it to be a surprise,” I yell back.
He nods frantically. “Best surprise ever!”
“Go win for me!”
All of the players skate back over to the bench and Zach hesitantly follows with a last wave to me.
My eyes are on him throughout the rest of the game.
I can tell he tries his best to focus on the game, but his eyes always flicker back to me and then he smiles.
It’s so cute.
Columbus ends up winning 4-1 against the Capitals, so I know the players are going out to celebrate.
Hopefully somewhere I can go, since I’m not twenty one yet.
I don’t actually know where to go, since I didn’t plan this far ahead, but some girls help me to the back entrance to wait for the players.
I ignore my phone as it buzzes with texts and phone calls from Zach.
I want to surprise him again- and maybe make him a little angry.
We have great sex when he’s angry.
When he walks out the door, his hair is soaked, his suit fits his body just right, and he has a frustrated look on his face.
Probably from me not answering his phone.
“Zach, I’m your biggest fan,” I shout, causing his head to snap up.
He rolls his eyes at the sight of me, slipping his phone into his back pocket.
“You are such a troublemaker,” he pulls me under his arm, leading me towards his car.
“Thanks for the help, ladies!” I shout over my shoulder at the gaping girls.
~~~
The players loved me.
Mostly because all I do is roast Zach.
Warnings: probably a few curse words
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moving to Columbus, Ohio with your best friend was one of the best decisions you had ever made. Zach spoiled you rotten, buying you books, snacks, clothes, and anything you really wanted or needed. In return you cooked healthy dinners for him, did his laundry, and kept him on schedule. But the best things about living together was the Friday Night Movie Marathons you and Zach had every week. Movie plans were definitely easier to arrange when living in the same apartment.
It goes without saying, Friday Night Movie Marathons didn’t always happen on Fridays. Zach was a professional hockey player; he had games to attend, road trips to go on, charity events to participate in and sometimes those things landed on a Friday. So when that happens, you and Zach move the Movie Marathons to his next day off. But recently things had been changing.
Every time you and Zach were supposed to have a movie night, Zach would cancel last minute.
When you were in front of Zach, you’d just hide your disappointment and brush off the canceled plans like it was nothing but the truth was, it broke your heart when Zach canceled. The thought of him going out and possibly meeting someone better than you destroyed you. The fact that he had thousands of girls just throwing themselves at him made you nervous. At any moment he could pick any girl and it made you sick know that it wouldn’t be you because you were… well, you! And it was imperative that Zach never found out you felt this way or else it would ruin your years of friendship, and you’d lose him forever.
Tonight though, Zach promised it would just be the two of you hanging out. He promised that he would be home at 8pm on the dot. He promised to turn his phone off. And he promised to sit down and watch every movie you pick out without complaining. The deal seemed fair, seeing as he had canceled on you for the last month and a half. He even had a bunch of junk food and snacks delivered to the apartment so the two of you had plenty to eat.
Currently, you were in the kitchen struggling to scoop ice cream into a separate bowl for yourself. The ice cream was frozen solid and Zach wasn’t home yet, so you were trying to muscle it out yourself but all you were doing was deforming the container. A few minutes later, the door to your shared apartment opened as you groaned in frustration and slammed the spoon down on the counter.
“Woah, take it easy there, (Y/N),” Zach teased. He pushed the apartment door closed behind him as he walked towards the kitchen to see what was frustrating you.
Looking up at the sound of Zach’s voice, your heart fluttered. He was dressed nicely in one of his game day suits, and you felt your cheeks heat up but you made sure not to miss a beat.
“You are just in time,” you stated. Both you and Zach turned to look at the microwave which displayed the time 8:00.
“Yeah-”
“And you are just in time to help me scoop the ice cream,” you said. Zach looked down at the mangled container and laughed.
“Is that what’s frustrating you?” Zach asked, pointing at the ice cream mess.
“Yeah, it’s too hard for me, so get to it muscles,” you said. You took a step out of the way so Zach could scoop the ice cream for you.
“Really, (Y/N)? I knew you weren’t very strong but, ice cream?” Zach asked.
“It’s frozen solid, and I refuse to put it in the microwave because then it gets to warm and soupy and it just never tastes the same afterwards,” you whined.
“Well, how about we put it in the fridge over night to thaw out a little? It’ll still be cold tomorrow, just not as hard,” Zach suggested. He took the ice cream container off the counter and put it in the fridge, the spoon still jammed in the ice cream block.
“That’s fine, we still have plenty of snacks for our movie night,” you said excitedly. You grabbed Zach’s hand and began running towards the living room. When you grabbed his hands, you expected to pull him to the living room behind you but he didn’t move an inch. You turned around to look at Zach who was looking down at the ground, instead of you.
“So, about tonight,” Zach started. He lifted his head to look at you, his expression wasn’t what you expected… he was smiling?
“You’re canceling on me again, aren’t you?” you asked.
“Yeah, but it’s for a good reason,” Zach said. You let go of Zach’s hand and took a step back from him.
“I don’t care what the reason is, just go,” you said disappointedly. You turned away from Zach but before you could get far, Zach stopped you. He grabbed your hand and spun you around.
“You ok?” Zach asked. You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts and emotions, shoving them to the back of your mind where they would stay until Zach left.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you lied. Zach’s expression filled with excitement… he actually bought my lie? We’ve been friends for how long and he still can’t tell when I’m lying?
“Good, now go get dressed,” Zach said.
“What? Why am I going to get dressed?” you asked. You had little hope that this was so Zach could take you on a date.
“You have a date,” Zach said.
“I don’t remember arranging any such thing,” you replied.
“That’s because you didn’t, I did,” Zach said.
“Why would you do that?” you asked.
Me and Motte were doing this thing where we set each other up on blind dates, and I thought you’d be a good fit for him,” Zach explained.
“I don’t do blind dates,” you said.
“Don’t think of it as a blind date, you know Tyler and he knows you. It’s just a regular date,” Zach said. You shook your hand out of Zach’s grip and took another step back from him.
“Call it what you want but I’m not doing it,” you stated.
“But why?” Zach asked.
“Because tonight’s our movie night and you’ve been blowing me off for over a month. The guys want me to go out with them, everyone’s going out tonight, the Chainsmokers are in town, a new movie came out yesterday and I;m gonna go see it with Wenny, I had a rough day at practice… I’m sick of all the excuses!! We’ve been doing these movie marathons for years now, if you don’t wanna do them anymore just say something!” you said angrily.
“(Y/N), it’s just a movie night. Tonight is your chance to get a boyfriend, Tyler seems to be really into you,” Zach said.
“To you it’s just a movie night, to me it’s more than that… These movie nights are-” you looked at Zach. He obviously wasn’t following what you were saying and it broke your heart. “Ya know what? Nevermind, Zach. Tell Tyler I’m sorry and that I wish him the best of luck in finding someone.”
You spun around once again, this time you were planning on going to your room but just like the previous times, you were stopped by Zach.
“No, Y(/N). You can’t do that, you can’t just start saying something and stop. What are these movie nights so important to you?” Zach asked.
“We just don’t spend time together anymore,” you said.
“We live together, (Y/N). How much more time do you wanna spend together?” Zach asked with a laugh.
“I don’t know,” you said quickly. You gaze fell to the ground as you contemplated your options.
I can tell Zach how I feel and possibly ruin our friendship, or I make something up and go on this date with Tyler. I mean, Motte was a sweet guy… he just wasn’t THE guy.
“(Y/N),” Zach said stepping closer to you. He lifted your head, forcing you to look at him. “Tell me what’s really wrong.”
“Nothing, I’m just gonna go get dressed,” you said, walking away from Zach. You reached the couch when Zach started talking.
“You can’t run from your problems, (Y/N)! You always used to come to me with your problems and we’d talk but now you don’t!” Zach shouted. You spun around and took a step towards the kitchen so you could clearly see Zach.
“That’s because you keep canceling on me!! How am I supposed to tell you about my problems if you keep going out where we’re supposed to hang out?!” You shouted back.
“Is it such a problem that I wanna go out and socialize?! I have a life too, ya know? You should try it sometime, maybe you can find someone to take the stick outta your ass!” Zach said.
“Screw you, Zach! I should’ve known this would happen,” you said.
“What are you talking about now?!” Zach asked.
“You are so fucking blind!” you said.
What-“
“I love you, Zach! I’ve been in love with you fro years now and these movie nights were as close to a date as I’d get with you,” you said. You looked down at the ground again, bracing yourself for Zach’s response.
In a few large strides, Zach was right in front of you. His body pressed against yours. In one swift motion, Zach placed his hands on your cheeks and lifted your head. And without missing a single beat, Zach caught your lips in the kiss you have dreamt about for years.
The kiss didn’t last as long as you wanted it to, Zach being the one to pull away first. You slowly fluttered your eyes open to see Zach smiling down at you.
“I love you too, (Y/N),” Zach said softly. He pecked your lips gently, a large smile growing on your face. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
“I was afraid of ruining our friendship,” you said. You reached up and placed your hands on top of Zach’s hands.
“Nothing can ruin our friendship,” Zach said. You moved his hands from your cheeks, intertwining your fingers with his.
“So, you up for a movie night?” you asked shyly.
“I would love too,” Zach said. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders and began guiding you over to the couch where you had a bundle of blankets and pillows waiting.
“Awesome! I have a list of movies on my phone and we have to watch them all!” You said with growing excitement.
“I can’t wait,” Zach said.
“We can go through the list alphabetically, by genre, rating, release date-”
“Baby, we will watch the movies in whatever order you want,” Zach said with a laugh. You plopped down on the couch, looking up at Zach as he undid his tie.
After discarding his tie, Zach slipped off his suit jacket and tossed it onto the chair by the couch. He kicked off his shoes, and untucked his shirt, slightly revealing his magnificent abs. Your eyes never left him once, curious and entertained by his little strip show.
“What are you doing?” you asked. Zach slipped off his belt, tossing it onto the chair with his tie.
“Getting comfortable,” Zach said nonchalantly.
“Sorry, do carry on,” you said. Zach unbuttoned his dress shirt and threw it onto the chair to accompany the rest of his clothes. Next to come off were his pants.
“Alright, scoot over,” Zach said. He comfortable slid onto the couch, placing himself between your body and the back of the couch. His arms wrapped around your waist and his head rested on your shoulder, placing a gentle kiss to your cheek before letting out a deep breath.
“I feel a bit… overdressed,” you said.
“Don’t worry. We’ll fixed that later,” Zach whispered. Your cheeks burned red, thoughts of you and Zach’s future together causing butterflies in your stomach.
Moving to Columbus, Ohio was definitely the best decision you ever made in your life.

Columbus *Part 2* (Zach Werenski)
Yay for productivity! Enjoy part two...it’s over 2,200 words long, so whoops. Will definitely be at least one more part!
Part One
Warnings: Dancing, Columbus, Blue Jacket players
Requests: Open
You rubbed your eyes and tried to refocus on the words that professor whats-his-face was scribbling on the board. Why did I take stats? Why did I do this to myself? The only saving grace was that this was the only class you had today...and there were only, you looked up at the clock for the umpteenth time, 27 minutes left.
“I can see that all of you have tuned me out,” You looked to your prof who looked as done with the day as the rest of you. “And frankly...I’d rather be anywhere but here. It’s a Friday...go on. Get drunk or something. Just stop looking at me with your soul sucking dead eyes.” As the class began to flood toward the exit he added on, “Complete the problems on page 127 by next class.”
Walking into the sunshine was a blessing and you couldn’t help but turn your face up towards it. Which explains why you jumped about 15 feet in the air when a voice came from right next to you.
“Y/N right?” The voice asked. “Ope sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.”
“You’re okay. And yeah, I’m Y/N...you’re….Clara right?”
“Yeah! Hey...a group of friends and I are going out tonight and I wanted to know if you wanted to join? I always see you in class and you seem pretty cool...but I never see you in the dorms.”
“Oh! I actually live in one of the single room apartments. I got it because I’m on scholarship. Ummm...how many people are going to be there?”
“If you come there will be six of us. We’re not much for socializing...but I thought adding one more wouldn’t hurt anything. You in?”
“Sure...why not? What’s the plan?” You decided to take a risk. It was three weeks into the semester and other than the occasional nod and smile, you didn’t really have friends. So this would be good for you...hopefully.
“We’re going to Bar 23. It’s like 10 minutes from campus...we were going to get apps and drinks, maybe go to Skully’s for dancing after.”
“I’m not 21 yet. And I don’t have another ID to use.” You said.
“No worries! Skully’s is 18+ so you’re good! Do you want to meet us at B23 around 7pm?”
You nodded. “I’ll be there. Thanks for the invite Clara.”
“Of course! Here add your number in my phone and I’ll text you so that you can send me a message when you get there.” After sharing numbers you waved goodbye and headed back to your apartment.
“Alright self. You have four hours until you have to leave. You could A: do your homework so you’re not stressing on Sunday or B: take a nap.” You pretended to think about it. “Nap it is. Good choice self.”
Three and a half hours later you were tugging on your favorite pair of skinny jeans over a lace bodysuit. A pair of booties completed the outfit, and looking at yourself in the mirror...you couldn’t say you were mad about the money you spent on this outfit a few weeks ago. Your curves looked bomb, your hair was laying just right and the makeup you’d applied made your eyes and lips pop. Long story short...you looked great!
You looked in the mirror one last time and gave yourself a nod of approval and after putting your phone in your back pocket with your ID and cash firmly within the case, you were ready to go. You locked the door behind you and started the walk towards B23. It was about a 15 minute walk and with the addition of your leather jacket, you were comfortable in the early October weather.
Here. You sent to Clara as you approached the front door.
Table in right corner. You got back almost immediately. You entered and looked over and saw a small group of girls over at a table. You made eye contact with Clara, who waved a bit spastically at you.
“Hey!” You pulled out the chair next to you as she introduced you to her friends. “Guys this is Y/N. She’s in my stats class. This is Amelia, Jane, Shannon, and Harmony. We all live together in one of the suites. Harmony is the lucky one who doesn’t have to share.” She teased.
Harmony, a pretty girl who had to have Native American in her if the tone of her skin and stick straight black hair (which you were beyond jealous of) gave you any clues, shot her a smug smile. “It’s not my fault that I won the draw.”
“That you put the names in!” Carla shot back.
Shannon leaned over to you, “They’ll go on about this if one of us doesn’t interrupt. They’ve been best friends since they were six. And they’re definitely the loudest out of all of us.”
You chuckled. “It’s not bothering me. I’m always game for free entertainment.”
The playful bickering died down as the waitress approached to take orders. After ordering two appetizer plates and drinks...a water for you. Conversation resumed and you quickly felt like one of the group. Amidst mozzarella sticks, wings, nachos, and a lot more greasy food you talked about majors, career goals, crazy professors, and the hot people you distracted yourself with in class.
A little after eight your waitress came over with another round of drinks for the girls and another water for you.
“We didn’t order more drinks...we’re actually getting ready to go,” You told her.
“I know. Those guys over there sent them to you. The one with dark hair wanted me to ask if Ohio was still treating you well.” Your group all looked over towards the guys that your waitress had pointed out to you. And there was Zach and some of the guys who’d gone into the store with him.
“Oh! I know him. I’m gonna go say hi.” You told the girls.
“Tell them thanks for us!” Carla said, lifting her drink in a salute towards them.
You made your way over towards Zach, suddenly a bit more conscious of what you were wearing. Was it too tight? Too much boob showing?
“Hey Y/N!” Zach greeted you.
“Hi. Ohio is treating me just fine. Thanks for asking.” You sat down in the chair he pulled out for you. “I’m Y/N.” You said to his friends.
“Pierre-Luc.”
“Josh.”
“Seth.”
“Boone.” They went around the table introducing themselves.
“And I’m Zach.”
You elbowed him playfully in the side. “I know who you are. But thanks anyway. Also...thank you for the drinks.”
“You’re welcome. But I think you bruised my side...so don’t expect anymore.”
“Baby. But I’m pretty sure we’re getting ready to leave anyway...so no worries about buying us more.” You teased.
“You’re leaving?” He questioned. “Oh.”
“Umm. We’re going to Skully’s to dance...and probably drink some more if you wanted to join us later? I’m sure the girls wouldn’t mind if you wanted to join in…” You trailed leaving an open invitation.
“We’re actually leaving here now. I’m sure we’ll be happy to join.”
Josh gave him a look. “We just go-Oof!” He gave Seth an offended look. “What was that for? That hur-”
“We’d love to join,” Seth spoke over Josh, who was still glaring at him.
“Ok,” You said with a smile. “Let me go tell the girls y’all plan on coming and then I’ll see you there?” Your speech was directed a bit more directly at Zach this time.
“Sounds good.” You gave a small wave bye and headed back over to the table where your friends had not so subtly been watching the exchange.
“The guys wanted to know if you cared if they joined us at Skullys? I said that it wouldn’t be a problem...but if you guys have a prob-”
“No! They can come! We do not mind. Do they want to walk over with us? It’s only a few blocks over.” Clara said.
You shrugged. “Let me ask.” You waved Zach over and you watched as his long legs ate up the distance. “Do y’all want to walk over there with us? Or were you going to drive.”
“No we’ll walk with you. Let us pay and we’ll meet you by the door.” He headed back over and soon your group, now doubled in size, was on the way. Somehow you and Zach ended up trailing a few steps behind everyone else. Not that you minded.
“So,” He looked down at you. “You’re really liking Ohio?”
“Yeah. It’s growing on me.”
“Good. Umm…” He bit his lip and then gruffly cleared his throat. “Save me a dance? God, that made me sound so dumb. Forget it.”
“No! Uh...I’d love to. I’m not sure what kind of music they play...but I’m sure we could find something we can dance to.” You could feel your cheeks getting hot as you looked up at him. “Thanks for asking.”
45 minutes later a beat was pounding and the dance floor regularly changed colors with the lights. Your friends were all leaning a bit towards tipsy and you had even taken a shot or two. Zach and his friends had wandered off a while ago, but before you could decide to finally go look for him, a warm pair of hands settled on your hips.
“Can this be my dance?” Zach had leaned his head down so you could hear him over the music. Not only could you hear him but you could smell the scent of his cologne and almost feel his lips brushing against your ear as he spoke. “I’m ready now.”
“Sounds good to me.” You tried to turn and face him but he clamped his hands onto your hips so you couldn’t.
“Like this, Darling.” He stepped even closer to you, his front now flush with your back. He pulled your hands up and looped them around his neck, causing you to arch slightly into him before he put his hands back on your hips. ”Now sway.”
So you did. And BOY did that explain why people liked to dance this way so much. You’d never danced this way, never understanding why people wouldn’t want to look at their partner. But being able to feel him pressed so nicely against you...his thigh in between yours and one of his hands banded firmly around your waist. You didn’t want to dance any other way. He swiveled his hips against yours, so you pressed back even tighter against him.
His chest vibrated with a groan. “Do it again.” You definitely felt his lips against your ear this time. But you did it again. And again. He rewarded you by lightly trailing his lips against your neck.
“Zach…” He tiled your head up so you could look at him.
“I want to kiss you.” He said.
“Please.” And then he was. His lips pressed hotly against yours and then his tongue was in your mouth, twining with yours. Your hands were twisted in his hair and his were slowly trailing up your stomach until his thumbs rested right under your breasts.
“Uh...guys.” Your broke away from each other at the sound of Clara’s voice. “As much as I personally enjoy the show you’re putting on...just wanted to let you know that we’re heading out. But you can stay here if you want Y/N...we just are going to go by your apartment and didn’t want you to have to walk back alone.”
You took a deep breath and allowed the air to clear your head from the drugged state Zach’s kiss had put you in. “Um, yeah that’d be great; thanks.”
“I’m pretty sure your friends are also leaving, Zach.”
“Thanks.” He answered gruffly. Clara walked away, leaving you with Zach. “I can drive you back to your apartment if you want...my car is still at B23.”
“It’s okay...I don’t want you to have to go out of your way.” You responded.
“It’s not that far out of the way...I,” He coughed and thought you couldn’t see the best in this light, you were pretty sure his cheeks were red. “I’m not ready to say goodbye, yet. I like spending time with you.” He kissed you lightly again. “I like kissing you.”
“Believe me, the feeling is mutual. But I don’t want to bail on the girls...this is my first night out with them.” A slight pout formed on his face. “Are you pouting?!”
“No!” He quickly answered.
“You’re pouting!” You laughed. “I have some homework...but I can be done with it by two, tomorrow...if you wanted to meet somewhere?”
“Are you asking me out on a date?” He teased as the two of you made your way towards the entrance where your friends waited.
“I guess I am. You didn’t ask me so I had to make the move myself.”
“I would love to go on a date with you tomorrow.” He handed you his phone. “Put your number in and I’ll text you tonight...we can make plans.”
“Okay.” After handing his phone backed to him you said bye to the guys and then were given one more burning kiss by Zach before you headed back towards your apartment with your friends.
Ohio was definitely turning out to be better than expected.
Let me know if you see any blazing errors

Scary Movies - Zach Werenski
Notes: three months later, here’s an imagine yall!! so sorry guys, its so terrible, but i hope you enjoy also i realize it hasn’t come out on dvd but like i don’t watch horror movies and it’s the only movie ive seen lately lmao
Warnings: none
Requested by Anonymous: Omg that zach werenski one was so cute! Could you do one where you watch a scary movie together and end out making out(if your comfortable with that) if not just kinda cute and cuddly!
Up Next: who tf knows tbh
You hated scary movies, there was no ifs, ands, or buts about it. But yet, Zach was always throwing out the 'ifs, ands and buts'. Unsurprisingly, he never took 'no' as an answer.
"It's one movie, (Y/N)! I'll cuddle you and if you get too scared I promise I'll turn it off."
Groaning, you tried to shake off the pleading look he was giving you, "You say that every time this conversation comes up, and yet you never turn it off if I get too scared."
Zach shook his head and gestured to the stack of DVD's in front of you, "I'm not watching another crappy movie, (Y/N). Just one, and we'll go back to that Miley Cyrus movie."
Shaking your head, you reached towards the stack and began fingering through the cases, immediately throwing the cases of 'Annabelle', 'Paranormal Activity' and and 'Insidious' aside. You can hear Zach groaning in the background at every movie you throw aside, before you finally settle on 'IT'.
"That's not even a horror movie, babe."
Glaring at him, you thrust the case towards him, "It's the only option you're getting."
Zach kept his grumbling up as he moved towards the DVD player, before turning the television on and inserting the DVD into the player. It took a few seconds to boot up, as he continued to grumble about your choice. After a few minutes of fiddling with the player, he moved back towards you and the couch, sitting down beside you and pulling you closer into his side.
You immediately dug yourself into him, prepared to stress yourself out during the entire movie.
"We can't spend the entire movie with you not actually watching, babe."
"I'll obviously watch the parts that aren't terrible, Zach."
Watching as he rolled his eyes at you, the hand that was against your shoulder began to rub gently circles against it.
The movie started, the credits rolling and Georgie, the little boy in the yellow raincoat appeared and you just knew, you just knew that whatever was about to happen wasn't going to be good.
"Jesus, Zach! Why are you laughing you freak? He just had his arm bitten off you crazy ass."
You slapped at his chest, as your asshole of a boyfriend continued to laugh at your reaction, the sounds of the television low in the background. Pouting, you moved away from him, crossing your arms and aggressively staring at the movie in front of you.
The laughing beside you stopped, as he tried to pry your arms apart so he could move you closer to him. "Leave me alone, Zachary."
"But baby, you're supposed to love me."
"I don't love you when you're being a jackass."
"I'm not being a jackass, (Y/N)!"
Mimicking him, you mocked the sound of his voice and continued to pout beside him. "You know I don't like these kinds of movies and you refuse to do anything except laugh at me."
Grabbing your arm, his strength easily overpowered yours as he pulled you back towards his body, "Aw baby, I'm only laughing because it's cute."
"It's not cute! You're just making fun of me, and I don't like it. I'm not watching anything with you again."
You continued to try and pry yourself away from him, but his grip just grew tighter as he hugged you to his body, repeatedly kissing the top of your head. "Shush, shush, shush. You know I love you, be quiet."
"Just because you love me, doesn't mean I'm gonna keep watching these with you."
"Come here, baby." He tipped your head towards his, the pout on your lips never lifting as he pressed his lips against yours.
You continued to deny his kiss, which had him pulling away to look down at you, "I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to make you so mad."
Shrugging your shoulders, you jokingly glared at him. "If you didn't mean to make me mad, you would've stopped laughing, jerk."
"Oh shut up, you know that I was joking. Now please, kiss me and shut up."
Rolling your eyes, you allowed Zach to press his lips to yours, which you eagerly responded to. It was either this, or continue to watch the movie and have him laugh at you.
The kiss started off innocent as any other kiss between the two of you, your lips gently moving against his before he prodded your lips with his tongue, begging for entrance.
Denying the advancements, Zach rudely moved his hand to your side, tickling you enough that you laughed so he could move his tongue into your mouth. Your tongues fought for dominance, your tongue trying to enter his mouth, which he easily denied with his.
His hands moved up and down your sides, underneath and over your shirt, getting closer and closer to your bra with every slide.
Pulling away from him, a smirk grew on your lips, "I thought you wanted to watch the movie, Zachary."
"I think I'd rather kiss you, baby." The hockey player tried to press his lips back against yours, which you easily swayed away to look towards the movie.
"Oh, don't start this now, we both know you'd rather kiss me."
"But maybe I wanna kiss Bill Skarsgard, those Swedes are super cute."
Glaring at you, he easily pressed his lips to yours again, "we're not starting this Swedish bullshit again, I'll show you whose better again, don't doubt me."
"Oh really?"
"Really, really, you brat."

Zach Werenski #10 - FWB ;)
requested >> yes / no
word count >>
warnings >> just some steamy make out sessions ya hear
a/n >> hello its me the most trash human who sucks at writing/posting oops... im going to try to get back into the swing of things but please dont quote me on that cause as said before im trash :))))
It was game four of the first round for the Blue Jackets. Of course, they were versing the defending Stanley Cup Champions and losing so far this round. But you had faith in your dad’s old team. And with him being an Alumni, you were lucky enough to get to sit in the box seats when you weren’t busy. Since it’s the playoffs, you always had time to come to the arena and enjoy your favourite pastime - being a loving hockey fan.
“Y/N,” your dad calls you out, you turn from the bar - your fresh bag of popcorn in hand - to see him waving you over. He’s smiling, as he had been since arriving. Your dad always loved being at the arena.
As you walk across the suite, you realize he’s joined with a handful of guys in suits. Your dad always loved introducing you to people. These people never really cared to meet an old hockey players daughter. Most of the men in suits you’ve met over the years just smiled and would usually forget who you were by the next time they saw you. This time, you had a feeling the young men in suits were going to remember you.
“I’d like to introduce you to some of the kids on the roster this year,” your dad says as you stand beside him and look at the three young guys.
“Finally introducing me to some people my age huh dad?” You tease him, but his face says it all. He already regretted calling over his little girl over to met the cute hockey players. “I’m Y/N,” you say and extend a hand out for the boys to shake.
“James,” the blonde nods and shakes your hand.
“Alex,” the next one says and you smile in response.
Then you look at the last Columbus player. There was no missing the shiner that was his right eye. Everyone who was watching the playoffs right now knew about the guy standing in front of you. Zach Werenski, managed to block a shot with a puck last game but also managed to come out and finish the game before his eye shut. But besides the obvious injury, his face was pretty nice. He was cute.
“Zach, it’s nice to meet you,” he says while shaking your hand.
“Wow, that looks as bad as I thought,” you say and toss some popcorn into your mouth.
“Yeah,” Zach chuckles and looks down, “it’s hard to miss that’s for sure,” he adds as he looks back up at you.
“It’ll heal nice, have a little scar there I’m sure,” your dad exclaims. For a moment there you forgot he was even standing beside you.
“That’s what they tell me,” Zach nods and smiles at your dad.
“I’m going to take a seat again, you guys want to join me? I’m sure these old guys can only tell you so many stories before it gets boring, trust me I know,” you tease your dad and flash him a smile before stepping forward. You’re standing beside Zach, who’s watching you, and raise a brow.
“Yeah, we’ll sit with you,” Zach says and then him and the two others follow you to the free seats in the box.
A few minutes go by and you’re too busy wondering what Zach thinks of you to really pay much attention to the game. But then the Jackets score and you’re back into it. Never had you’ve been one to worry about guys, in fact you’ve never even really dated, it just wasn’t your style. So as it settled down in the arena again and play was simple on the ice, you had another handful of popcorn before offering the bag to Zach.
“Want some?” You ask. Zach looks at the bag for a second. “Some buttery calories won’t hurt, I’m assuming your NHL season is over with that face anyways,” you say.
Zach chuckle, “this face?” He questions, in a joking matter. You nod and eat more popcorn, watching him as he just smiles at you. “Fine, this face would love some popcorn,” Zach grabs a handful of popcorn and stuffs it into his face. You smile and then turn your attention back to the game.
—
“Summer’s almost over,” you groan out loudly and flop down on the couch. Zach chuckles as you kick your feet up into his lap. “Let’s go swim or something, come on my parents are out of town and the pool is to good to not be swimming in today,” you state.
“Can we grab some food on the way?” He asks.
“Uh hell yeah,” you say and throw your legs off Zach to stand up from the couch. “Let’s go!”
Zach rolls his eyes at you but follows you towards the front door of your apartment. It’s quite a drive to your parents house, seeing as you live in an apartment downtown and they own an acre just on the outskirts of the city. But it was also your favourite place to go. With a massive pool, hot tub, and plenty of nice green grass - and of course you couldn’t forget the ice rink near the back of the property either. But with it being summertime and temperatures high, you were currently taking advantage of the pool.
Your parents were enjoying the last couple weeks of summer in Greece - which you were unbelievably jealous about, but that just meant you got their house to yourself. In fact today had been the first day in a while you’ve been at your apartment, just to hangout with Zach of course.
“This place still sort of blows me away,” Zach says as he pulls up through the long driveway. Once he parks the car you realize that your parents housekeeper was over, which sort of put a damper on your plans. “Who’s here?” Zach questions as you two walk to the front door.
“Gemma,” you answer and open the door.
The middle aged British woman comes around the corner with her brows pulled together and a towel in hand. “Oh, Y/N, you scared me,” she says and places a hand over her heart.
“Sorry, Gem,” you say, “tidying up?” You ask, she hadn’t been around yet this week, and you knew the messes you had left around.
“Just a bit,” she nods, “come to swim?” She asks and glances at Zach now. You knew if she got a moment alone with you she was going to hit you with a few questions of the cute boy standing beside you.
“You know me so well,” you smile and begin to walk through the foyer to the open concept area that was a dining room and family room, with only an island counter top cutting off the kitchen. The high roofs were always your favourite. Just as Zach took a few steps with you, you turn around realizing your mistake, “oh, Gemma this is Zach, Zach this is Gemma,” you introduce the two.
“Nice to meet you,” Zach smiles.
“You too,” Gemma mirrors his smile and with that you’re guiding the way to where Zach could find a pair of swim trunks your brother keeps around and the towels too.
“I’ll meet you by the pool,” you say to Zach and hand him everything, “just going to grab some drinks and snacks,” you add before pushing him towards the door. Gemma was standing at the island counter watching you two.
“Okay?” Zach is confused by your behaviour but goes out the doors without a question.
“You have a boyfriend and didn’t tell me?” Gemma accuses you once the door is closed behind Zach. You fight rolling your eyes and shake your head at her.
“We’re just friends,” you state.
“Why? He’s cute, he has to like you-“
“Has to?” You question with a chuckle. As you walk towards where she stood in the kitchen you cross your arms at your chest.
“Yes, I mean you’re quite the catch, sweetheart,” Gemma pauses and puts away the pan she was drying, “and there’s the way he looks at you, gives it away too,” she smiles.
“We’re just friends, Gem,” you repeat.
“Sure, sweetheart,” she says with a smile before turning around and grabbing another dish to dry.
“So,” you begin what you had planned to say before her questioning your friendship with Zach, “you can have the rest of the day off,” you smile.
“Aha,” Gemma points a finger at you, “you are dating him!”
“I’m not!”
Gemma gives you a long hard stare, “fine, I’ll leave. I’m guessing I’m not to say anything about him coming over to your parents either?”
“It’d be greatly appreciated,” you smile.
“Alright,” she sighs and throw her dish towel on the counter, “I’m out of here then, I’ll be back tomorrow to finish the laundry though so hide your not boyfriend before then,”
You roll your eyes at her as she walks passed you, “goodbye Gemma,” you call out to her.
“Be safe!” She shouts back and then the front door is shutting behind her.
Yet another eye roll comes after her departure and then you’re on a mission. You go to the fridge and set two water bottles on the counter before sprinting up to your old bedroom where you knew a bikini was. It was small, but that was the intention, you smirk at your own reflection and adjust the strings on your bottoms before making your way back downstairs. With your phone in one hand and the water bottles in the other, you go outside into the shining sun.
Zach’s sitting at the cabana style set up just off to the left of the pool. He looks up from his phone as you approach him, and there’s no missing the look he gives you. You smirk as his eyes rack you up and down. Mission accomplished.
“Where’s the snacks?” Zach questions, sitting up straight in his seat. He had changed, now only wearing the dark blue swim shorts.
“I’m the snack,” you answer with a sly smile.
“Did you really just say that?” Zach chuckles and rises from the chair.
“It sounded better in my head,” you shrug a shoulder and watch him as he takes a few steps towards you.
“Well, to be fair,” Zach pauses and licks his lips, his eyes fall down from your eyes and you’re smirking again, “you are my favourite snack,” he says.
“Did that sound better in your head too?” You tease.
Zach chuckles again and reaches around to place his hand on the small of your back. He pushes you just slightly to be pressed up against him. You smile and put an arm over his broad shoulder. Leaning upwards just a bit, you press your lips to his and savour the kiss before it turns hot and heavy.
You didn’t lie to Gemma, you also didn’t tell her the whole truth. Ever since just a few weeks after meeting Zach, after a bar night you were invited to along with some Jackets and their wags, you and Zach were more than just friends. After a bit of thought you decided to add the ‘with benefits’ to it. It was never awkward, instead things were just naturally playful and good between you two. Having a great friendship and getting some out of it too was really more than you could ask for.
“Let’s swim,” you say as the kissing comes to an end, of course ending with a playful push and you turning to walk to the edge of the pool.
You’re sort of in a daze as you’re looking down at the water. You were seriously going to miss the summertime. But those thoughts were gone as you’re suddenly pushed into the pool and are pushing up to surface again, anger erupts as you glare at Zach who’s laughing at the side of the pool.
“You dick,” you shouted.
Zach jumps in, over you, and once he surfaces you swim over and push on his shoulders. He’s under again but then his arms wrap around your waist and your being pulled under too. It all ends up with you two both gasping for air and laughing between breathes.
“All I wanted was a nice relaxing swim,” you stated, glaring at Zach again - who of course is smirking back at you.
“Should’ve have invited me than,”
“Noted,” you say and swim around him.
Thing is you’d probably invite him every tim you were going to swim, or do anything for that matter. Because he was one of your good friends and you seriously enjoyed hanging out with him. The kissing and such was only a bonus to the great friendship you two had made over the summer. But you would be an idiot to think you could go like this and not have any feelings blossom, you were just smart enough keep quiet and play it off. What he didn’t know wouldn’t kill him, or the fun you were having.

Could you do Zach Werenski in bed?
he really wants to do well
so much
so its all about you most of the time
he knows his grip is kinda rough and hard so he tries super hard to be gentle with you, thinking you’ll probably like that
his hands will slowly travel your body in the most tender way
but its so loving and soothing and it really makes you love him even more
and then he’ll kiss you pretty much the same way
his hands get a little rougher and he grabs your ass
he’s such a good kisser when its slow
but the hornier he gets the rougher he gets
and kisses get sloppy and more dominant
you really don’t mind though because you secretly like it rough
he gets hard so fast
really can’t control it when it comes to you
it happens a lot in public
which is why exhibition has kind of just happened to become a regular thing
lots of car sex
and quickies
he knows you’re not really into quickies because you usually need more to get off
but he always makes up for it later
L O V E S eating out
mostly because he’s so good at it and you go wild
you once had five orgasms in twenty minutes just from his mouth and fingers
he always brings that up when you’re alone
because he’s obviously a cocky little shit
he always wants to try new things
only so he can find new ways of pleasuring you
its always about you
lights candles and buys flowers and stuff
he sometimes does that thing with rose pedals on the bed just because
it doesn’t have to be valentines or anything like that
just an ordinary any day kind of thing
often asks you about your fantasies and what you wanna try
that time you said you wanted to try a little bondage was one for the books
you wish you had a picture of what his face looked like
world record in getting a boner fast
he tied your hands to the headboard and it was the hottest thing you’ve ever done
you think you wanna try tying your legs up too but you haven’t told him
you’re gonna make sure you’re ready to take a picture when that conversation comes

Insecurity ~Zach Werenski Imagine~
Requested:
Summary: You’ve been going out with Zach for almost a year. When he decides it’s time to meet his teammates and their girlfriends, you start to get nervous. Especially when they’re all very good looking.
Author’s Note: Hi everyone! How ya doin? So I have a confession to make, I don’t know any of the WAGS of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
You were pretty. You had some boyfriends here and there in your lifetime but none of them could beat Zach. He made you feel like there you were the only girl alive. He was your best friend and boyfriend.
“Y/N,” Zach said, flopping on the couch next to you.
“Yes?” You asked, looking down at him.
“Tomorrow night, you and I are going to go out with my teammates and the wags,” Zach tells you. You looked down at him and raised your eyebrows.
“A heads up would’ve been nice,” You tell him.
“Sorry. But it’ll be fun. I promise,” Zach tells you.
“Alright,” You said. Zach smiled up at you before giving you a kiss.
The next night, you were nervous. You didn’t know what you were going to say or you were nervous on how you were going to act. You were in your favorite dress and your favorite pair of shoes.
“You alright?” Zach asked, wrapping his arms around you.
“Yeah. Just nervous,” You tell him.
“Don’t be. You’ll be fine,” Zach tells you before kissing your cheek. You smiled as you both went to the restaurant.
There was a room reserved for all of you to be alone. When you both walked in, you held onto Zach to calm your nervous thoughts.
“You’ll be fine,” Zach tells you before kissing your cheek.
“Hey, Zach!” Alex Wennberg smiled, walking over.
“Hey, Alex. This is my girlfriend, Y/N,” Zach introduce you both.
“You’re the famous Y/N. Pleasure to meet you. Zach here cannot shut up about you,” Alex tells you.
“Really?” You ask, blushing.
“Yeah. Although, I gotta say, you’re a little more shy than the last one,” Alex said. You stared at him for a quick moment.
“Oh,” You said.
“She’s better than the last one,” Zach said sternly.
“Anyway why don’t you meet the wags?” Alex said.
When you met them, they were all beautiful. Most were blonde or had perfect dyed hair. You however were stuck with your natural hair color. You felt a little bland as they all looked flawless. They mentioned some of Zach’s ex girlfriends a few times, making you a little more insecure. Luckily, the restaurant had a patio letting you be alone for a bit.
As the cold air hit your skin helping you relax a bit. You stared out at the cars driving in the dark. The soft music playing from the restaurant made your mind more clear than ever. When a jacket was covering you now, you looked over to see Zach standing next to you.
“What’s wrong?” Zach asked you.
“I needed some fresh air,” You tell him.
“I know it’s not that,” Zach tells you. You look at him as he stared back at you. He knew you well.
“I feel a little insecure,” You admit to him.
“About what?”
“Your friends and the wags,” You tell him.
“Why are you so insecure about that?” Zach asked, wrapping an arm around you now.
“They’re all so perfect and I’m so plain. Then the fact they mention some of your old girlfriends, it makes me more sad,” You tell him.
“You’re not plain. In fact you’re the most interesting person I’ve ever been with. All those other girls, they were the same. Then when I met you, you were different,” Zach tells you. You wrap your arms around Zach and leaned your head onto his chest.
“I love you,” Zach said. You were in shock about this. You looked up at him in surprise. He never said the three words to you before.
“I love you too,” You said, starting to smile softly.
“Why don’t we go home, watch some movie, and we can go out with the team and wags another time?” Zach asked you.
“What if this was a special night for you?” You ask.
“It was just a team dinner. Come on. I want to cuddle with you,” Zach tells you. You smile at him before holding his hand and walking out to go home.

Nightmare (Zach Werenski)
Anonymous said:
Hi!! I was wondering if you could write a zach werenski imagine using prompts 20&23 from list 2. Could he be comforting me after a bad nightmare or something? Thank you so much!!
#20: “Don’t cry, baby.” #23: “You died!”
Word count: 753
Warnings: Death (not real)
The dreams always start out the same.
You’re not sure why, but you’re running down a dark alley in the middle of Columbus. You don’t know how you got into the situation that you’re currently in, but all you know is that you can sense the overwhelming amount of danger that is currently facing you. You trip and fall, ripping open a couple of holes in the knees of your jeans as you let out a terrified cry, the footsteps behind you getting louder. You try to scramble to your feet, but before you can get up all the way a hand grasps your arm, dragging you up. You gasp and find yourself staring into the eyes of Zach, your boyfriend.
“(Y/N)!” He yells breathlessly. “(Y/N), we have to move!” He intertwines your fingers with his and starts pulling you along as you both sprint down the alley. In your heart, you know it’s too late. The time you spent on the ground allowed your attacker to gain the needed ground on you, and you can hear heavy breaths behind you getting increasingly loud.
“No, no, no.” You mutter to yourself as Zach’s steps falter, tripping on a rock. That’s all that the unknown assailant needs to lay a chilling hand on your shoulder. You let out a bloodcurdling scream as you’re dragged away from Zach, facing a tall figure in a mask. The figure pulls out a gun and holds it to your head. You clench your eyes shut, tears sneaking past your eyelids as you brace yourself. You’re yanked away right as the gunshot sounds, the attacker turning and running immediately afterwards. You scream, falling to your knees at the sight of Zach’s lifeless body in front you. There’s blood everywhere, and your hands go to the wound, futilely attempting to staunch the flow of blood.
You’re abruptly pulled from your nightmare by your shoulders being roughly shaken. You shoot up in bed, looking around wildly, only to come face-to-face with the concerned eyes of Zach. Upon seeing that he’s not dead in some back alley, you burst into tears, letting Zach pull you into his arms.
“Jeez, don’t cry, baby. What’s wrong? You were screaming in your sleep.” You shake your head vigorously, clutching on to Zach like he’s a buoy in the middle of a vast ocean.
“It’s nothing, it was just a nightmare.” You’re not sure who you’re trying to convince more: Zach or yourself.
“(Y/N), baby, are you okay? I’ve never seen you this freaked out before.” He pulls you away from him, looking right into your eyes. “You can tell me anything, (Y/N).” You look down at the sheets, suddenly embarrassed at letting a nightmare affect you this much.
“I...um, we were running down this alley, trying to outrun somebody. You tripped, the attacker grabbed me and put a gun to my head, and then-and then-” You pause, tears filling up your eyes again as Zach grabs your hand comfortingly. “You died, Zach. You jumped in front of me and got shot instead.”
“Oh, (Y/N)...” Zach wraps you back into a hug, rubbing your back comfortingly. “I’m not going anywhere, don’t you worry. Nothing’s gonna happen to either of us, baby.” The bed starts to shift as Zach moves. You grab onto his arm, stopping him from moving any further.
“Where are you going?” You ask, a panicked look in your eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’m just gonna grab you some water and melatonin, okay?”
“Melatonin?” You question.
“It’s a natural sleep aid. I use it on road trips to help me sleep during the time changes. I’ll be right back.” Zach smiles at you reassuringly, planting a kiss on your forehead before leaving. You lean back against the headboard, closing your eyes and trying to even your breathing. Zach’s back quickly, to your relief, handing you a glass of water and two tablets. You toss the tablets in your mouth and down the glass of water, sighing and placing the glass on the night stand. Zach clambers back into bed next to you, pulling you into his arms.
“C’mere, baby, just close your eyes.” You follow Zach’s command and allow your eyes to fall shut, reveling in the feeling of his fingers threading through your hair. Zach hums an unfamiliar tune as you feel yourself drifting to sleep, not worried about nightmares while you’re in Zach’s arms.
“Don’t worry, baby, nothing’s gonna hurt you. Nothing’s gonna hurt either of us.”
