My concept for the roleplay monster in the last post was basically “vague shapeshifter.”

These color/style ref Picrews reminded me that I intended Dulce to be a little more stone-faced and difficult to read, but nearly all my drawings of them involve them grinning in the flirtatious/dangerous kind of way that I enjoy.

We’ll just say that this is their face when they aren’t tormenting their boss/boyfriend.

Seth sits where he was dropped, at the center of a dimly-lit cave, being stalked by a humanoid monster in a large cloak. They grab him by the shirt and get in his face, where he can see their inhuman pupils.

“You’re well beyond your territory, human,” they spit. “Give me one good reason not to feed you to my brood.”

Thinking quickly, and not entirely with his first head, Seth says, “Let’s look at it logically. There’s how many in your, uh, brood? How long would my hide feed them for? Not long, I’d reckon. But you?” He lets his eyes trace their form. “I could sate your appetite for a while.”

The monster scoffs. “My family eats first. How typical of you to suggest--”

“I’m talkin’ about sex!” he interrupts, and the shock on the monster’s face is worth it.

“Oh.” After a moment, they draw themself up taller, seeming to grow as their fangs lengthen and the eye sockets of their hood glow with an eerie light. “What makes--you think--I would want you?” they growl, doing nothing to dampen his excitement.

“Maybe the way you been lookin’ at me? And the way you hesitated just now,” he tries. “If you don’t like fuckin’ me, you can always eat me when you’re done. Satisfaction guaranteed.”

They consider it for a long moment, then press close to him with a predatory smirk. “I’m going to enjoy tearing you apart.”
