okay but like. i think it's time we acknowledge that shimada and takinoue are just super supportive country boyfriends. they're involved in the community and promote local businesses together. half of their dates are watching the volleyball matches. yamaguchi realizes they're a thing bc takinoue keeps coming over to interrupt their practice with shitty excuses, but it's okay because takinoue always brings yamaguchi a can of tea to make up for it. does ukai know? yeah, obviously. he hates drinking with them bc it just makes him a third wheel. and it's okay, they think, if people don't know. shimada and takinoue don't need a lot to be happy. it's just them and their shops and the neighborhood and the people they love and the fact that they love each other and the proud mountains of miyagi watching over them. what more could they want?
