as much as a i understand and respect ace kiryu truthers, i really feel like kiryu is the type to really take the idea to heart that sex is something vulnerable and meaningful and thus reserved for someone completely trusted and special to him– someone who feels right. after years and years he’s still never legitimately voluntarily slept with someone, always tries to turn women away or is at least apathetic when they try to get physical with him, never feels that deep and specific bond with a woman– nothing compared to some of his bonds with other men throughout his life. and maybe, hopefully, one day it’ll hit him that there’s a pretty big, glaring reason why no women have ever felt “right” to him.

IF A MAN LIKE SO HA SHOWS UP IN FRONT OF ME AND SAYS “Date me” I AIN’T THINKING ABOUT IT TWICE. 

You know what I would do? Because this is how it would go:

I stare in shock, wondering what the heck is going on. Is this real? Is this a dream? This doesn’t happen to me. I’m not this lucky. "Absolutely no~" was the immediate, jovial answer to such an absurd suggestion. What she was trying to barter with was secrets and that was not a currency Yumichika would ever do business with - even with a friend like Rangiku. Otherwise this whole competition of popularity did sound quite intriguing in a way, though slightly bizarre. Arranging dates and meeting lots of new people was a bit of a hassle, wasn't it? And what did those modern people even do on dates? What would they talk about? He had no clue.

"I'm not looking to date anyone right now, thank you very much", the continuation soon came, flat and sounding like a poor excuse. Of course he wouldn't say anything about the real reason why this idea of hers was instantly off the table.
