hella x adelaide x adaire (but hella x adelaide in particular): ugh i've talked a million times about how i love hella and how the way that ali played her changed me as a person, but i just can't stop listening to hieron over and over again because i can't escape the dynamic of hella murdering adelaide, being haunted by her, and then falling in love with her after death and that being a factor in her changing her ways. like what if you are evil and you kill someone and then fall in love with them as you are haunted by them and your decisions. and also you're both girls. evil lesbian awakening.

idk i really like certain characters and am invested in their relationships because we have relationships with everyone, positive or negative, and they define our lives, so of course i'm invested in their relationships, it is their relationships to other people that helps create who they are as a character and also forms the plot but i don't really consider myself a shipper and also i can't think of any more right now and also i'm kind of a little bit drunk so if i think of more i will add them, hella adaire and adelaide just came to mind. idk like i said hope this makes sense i had some tequila.

currently reading: the traitor baru cormorant by seth dickinson. listen. i've been reading this book for months. i love it, it's my girlfriend's favorite series and she's gotten drunk with seth before, but it's very heavy and has some very personal themes to me so it's been taking me a while to read it. and i had to put it on hold for a bit bc some things happened in my life and i got super depressed and had to read something a bit lighthearted for a bit. but i love it and am still reading it.

last watched: derry girls. it's a comfort show and i still hadn't seen the most recent season(s) so i'm like now i have to watch it all over again.

currently craving: yuca frita. for days. i need to go buy some yuca and make it myself bc my sister came home from uni and brought the air fryer and the yuca frita at my fave venezuelan restaurant doesn't travel super well.

Chaggie week day three:Cinema 💛x💜

"Come on, Vaggie, I have a surprise to show you!" Charlie bounced in her place.

Vaggie raised an eyebrow. "What is it, hon?" This seemed to be out of nowhere. Charlie has asked her to put on her nicest dress. The moth wore a satin purple gown that Charlie had bought for her.

Charlie was wearing a black tuxedo with a rainbow bowite.

"You look very handsome, hon." Vaggie spoke in a breathy voice as she walked closer to her lover. She raised her hand up and straightened out her bowite. Before placing a kiss on her nose.

Charlotte's face went red. She practically shrunk down into the collar of her shirt.

"And you look like a princess." She attempted to sound confident and fly. Her goofy smile that resembled a cartoon character in love, didn't help.

"So what did you want to show me?" Vaggatha asked as she linked arms with Charlie.

"Oh, you're gonna love it!" The blonde woman beamed. She walked down the hallway at a fast pace.

She opened a set of double doors thar the small demon had never seen before.

Vaggie gasped in surprise as she saw a dimly lit room filled with candels. Her eye was practically sparkling as she stared at the lights.

As she stepped into the room, she noticed a large screen on the front wall. There was soft music playing in the background. The source was coming from a group of little imps playing the violin.

Her heart fluttered. "Oh Charlie...this is so sweet."

"Let's find a cosey spot!" Charlie took Vaggie's hand in her own. She rushed over to the couch she had set up. She patted the spot next to her for Vaggie to sit down.

"I know you get nervous around crowds. So I thought of a way to bring the cinema to us!" The tall woman cheared.

"Thank you, Charlie, you're so kind." Vaggie said before she grabbed Charlie by the bowtie. Pulling her into a kiss.

Charlie's eyes flew open in shock. Her red pupils turned into hearts. Gently placing her hands on her girlfriends shoulders, she relaxed into the kiss.

Once they pulled away from one another, Charlie rested her forhead on Vaggie's.

"I brought us some snacks to enjoy during the movie." Charlie pulled a picnic bag out from behind the chair.

She opened the bag to reveal a variety of Vaggie's favourite dishes and treats.

"Pupusas, Curtido, Yuca Frita...and even Tres Leches! Oh Charlie, how did you do all this? It looks perfect!" Vaggie gasped in awe. It smelt amazing.

"Well, I had a little help from Alastor, we know I can't cook. So i really hope these turned out ok." Charlie spoke with a hopefull smile.

Vaggie picked up a pupusa. After taking a bite, she wrapped her arms around Charlie and pulled her into a hug. "It turned out great Charlie."

Charlie returned the embrace lovingly. "I'm glad it made you smile."

She held Vaggie close as she snapped her fingers to turn on the screen.

"Beetelejuice? We can get a signal from earth here?" Vaggie asked with a smile on her face.

"Well, not exactly. So I did the next best thing. I hiered some sinners to star in a remake! With even more musical numbers." Charlie giggled.

"Seriously? You did all this for me?" Vaggie spoke with wonder in her voice.

"I know how much you loved that movie. I wanted to make this special for you." Charlie spoke softly as she pulled Vaggie closer. Squealing internally, when Vaggie rested her head on her chest.

"You're the best girlfriend ever. I love you so much." Vaggie nuzzled her head into Charlie's breast.

"I love you more, my little moth." Charlie kissed Vaggie on the forhead.

Día 8

Hoy he continuado con el reposo en casa pero ya he ido comiendo un pco y parece que la medicación va haciendo su efecto.

Por la mañana puse una lavadora y luego estuvieron dos de los chicos que Conéctate con el hermano Natxo haciendo recados, desayunaron y almorzaron en casa y ayudaron a hacer unas bolsitas con chuches para mañana domingo que se celebra el cumpleaños de Juan María La Mennais (el fundador de los menesianos).

Después de comer han estado cocinando para la cena en la que venían los laicos a celebrar el cumpleaños de Juan María por adelantado. Había arroz con queso y leche, yuca frita, pisto de verduras y chancho (cerdo) asado. De postre tarta.

Yo solo comí arroz, un trocito de yuca y una minitajada de cerdo.

Ahora se han quedado charlando en el comedor en la sobremesa. Son todos muy familiares, cercanos, alegres, bromistas, cariñosos… es un gusto conocer a toda esta gente.

Mañana ya iré incorporándome a la rutina y saldré de casa jajaja.

Soto’s Cuban Kitchen, 2020 Barranca St, Los Angeles (Lincoln Heights), CA 90031

There aren’t too many places to get a good Cubano in LA. El Cochinito in Silver Lake has the best one and Porto’s has a decent one. Soto’s opened inside the newish Barranca Food Hall in Lincoln Heights. The menu is quite extensive with a mix of mostly Cuban but some Mexican offerings, including: breakfast (eggs, chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, Cuban breakfast), appetizers (yuca, papas rellenas, croquetas), sides (tostones, French fries, beans), soups, salads, vaca frita, ropa vieja, lomo saltado, arroz con pollo), combination plates, sandwiches, and desserts. They also have Cuban sodas, American sodas, and a full espresso bar.

Cubano ($15.99, comes with your choice of fries or plantains): The sandwich features Cuban bread, pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard & mayo. It’s a very good sandwich, made to order of course. The bread was soft and warm (pressed so that the top had some crunch). There was a layer of sour pickle slices, a layer of thinly sliced ham, a layer of roast pork, and melted cheese with yellow mustard and mayo. Everything was balanced and harmonious. The roast pork was made there. I still think El Cochinito’s Cubano is better but Soto’s is one of the better versions I’ve had. I wish I could get it without a side.

Fried sweet plantains: soft, ripe, and lightly fried, these were flavorful. Prefer plantain chips personally.

Ask for the homemade hot sauce. There’s plenty of seating in the food hall. It’s new and clean. Free parking is available across the street.

Tonight we went to dinner with our friend, Gabriel, who is the concierge in our building, and his girlfriend, Blanca. We were friends with Gabriel's ex-girlfriend, Ana, and when they broke up I was sad but I'll still keep my friendship with her. Blanca seems very nice. She's vivacious and fun. She has a teenage daughter who is living in Peru at the moment and a seven-year-old son who lives with her. She's been a single mother for a number of years so I'm glad she has a great guy like Gabriel in her life. We usually go to Peruvian restaurants when we go out with Gabriel because he knows all the best ones in town. Tonight we went to one we had been to before, but it's one of our favorites, Eldorado Chicken. The food is really good, especially the yuca frita, which is like french fries but healthier. It was a wonderful evening and a marvelous way to end this month and move on into springtime.
