i did so much prep for t4t4palestine today oh my god and i am still in no way ready for friday

over 50 pins prepped with probably 50 more to punch out and put together, then assemble (pins will be $3 or 2 for $5)

8 prints and 6 mini prints printed on my last two sheets of photo paper. still have to cut them out (prints will be $5, mini prints free to the first 6 people who spend $20+)

5 crochet scrunchies done today, ideally 5 more to go (they’re the most expensive item at $10 so I’m not banking on selling all of them tbh. but I definitely want to have a pricier handmade item for people who want to donate more, since 100% of my proceeds are being donated. im ‘losing’ so much money by doing this but god if i can raise like $100 just from my stuff alone for this family i will be thrilled)

AND I’m performing a set at the fundraiser. when the first time i performed in front of people in 9+ years was monday. so good god i have to practice.

It’s a variety benefit show featuring primarily drag, but there will also be other performances (me! hello! I’ll be doing a few acoustic songs!), and loads of vendors (also me! palestine + pronoun pins! scrunchies! prints!). ALL DONATIONS FROM THIS SHOW (and all money from products sold from my vending booth) will go directly to the Palestinian family being benefited this show.

I normally try to avoid getting all "real life" on Tumblr, but also wanted to signal boost this (enough that I'm about to Blaze this):

The University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society (UMGASS) will be holding auditions for the Fall Semester's production of Ruddigore on September 11th-13th, 2023.

If you live in Southeastern MI, and like to act and sing (and possibly dance!) then please check out more information about the show and the audition process here:

Ensemble members are only required two nights a week for most of the rehearsal process, so it's not a big commitment.

ALSO: they are looking for people to direct and music-direct their next show, Iolanthe, which will be produced from Jan-April of 2024.

Grasses are a Ypsilanti, Michigan band. It doesn't seem like they're active anymore as their Facebook page and Bandcamp page are from 2018. This is delightful indie rock in the vein of 28th Day, Yo La Tengo, Barbara Manning and R.E.M.

This cassette looks to be self-released.

Ozone House is a community-based, nonprofit agency that helps young people lead safe, healthy, and productive lives through intensive intervention and prevention services. All Ozone House doors are open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youth.
