Ratbeard and the pirate's dynamic goes so much harder when the pirate's backstory is armada or mutiny

the guy's already a parallel to the pirate, so like the pirate's parents meeting a violent end where the cause isn't nature but instead is an individual drives it even further

when the pirate is solely driven to defeat the armada cause they killed their parents or on a dark quest to hunt down whoever started the mutiny is it like looking into a mirror for him is ratbeard with his captain on their quest for vengeance or does something not sit right with him seeing a kid who is younger than he was grieving so badly and being driven by anger Does seeing what anger is doing to us make ratbeard look back on himself

ITMF for fics where Wei Wuxian is a bit (or a lot) more angry at the cultivation world. At their bigotry and cruelty, corruption and ignorance to the suffering of innocents. Where he really reacts to everything that happened to him and his, admits to himself how hurt he really was and still is, how he does not deserve it. Speaks or screams about it cleanly, exposes their flaws with words and actions.

Maybe he says "go to hell" and leaves to live heal on a faraway island with lemurs and bunnies, leaving the cultivation world to rip itself apart with political conflicts or just rot like a swamp.

Maybe he takes revenge, either with calm head or in saint anger-induced agression, though i would prefer him as still the Wei Ying we know and love (like, more bitter, and on the same level of violence as the MDZS itself is, but no sudden OOC with him becoming a tyrant, or commiting genocide just for it's sake, etc.)

I don't mind there being or not being any good people among the sects, but if he gets someone nice and kind to snuggle at the end or stand by his side, it would be awesome.

Can also be an ending where Wei Ying remains bitter, angry and depressed and does not let these feelings go, though please mention that there is an open/unhappy ending. Thank you!! ✨️🥰 @shellennium

This goes for the ITMF fics, so I re-read "Honesty is the Best Policy (Except if You're an Asshole)" by piecrust, and oh, the burn was so good!!! I mean, I did want to bang Lan Wangji's head on a wall a couple dozen times throughout the fic, but I liked it. No, I loved it rather.

So please do me the biggest favour and give me fic recs where Lan Wangji is a complete asshole to Wei Wuxian but also like he has to realize that he's being really really mean for no damn reason and over-compensate because please let the man grovel. I liked how piecrust portrayed the characters, so yeah. I don't mind if it is Canon or AU, I just need some fics to relinquish the sudden thirst for these types of fics.

i do want to say that despite the emotional rollercoaster that was this trial, and the frankly INCREDIBLY UNEXPECTED outcome, i did like it narratively. ik the decision of having okazakis character go this direction is gonna be incredibly controversial amongst the community but i really loved it. kamimuras death was almost meaningless, that’s tragic AS FUCK. but “meaningless” deaths happen. it’s not strange to kill off a character for no reason, because people die unfairly way more than we even want to think. and it SUCKS. it sucks SO BAD. but it’s not unrealistic. I think the unserious tone of Okazaki really made the tone of the entire series become even darker and more sinister. wow, anyways take what im saying here w a grain of salt bc im kinda hysterical rn so yeah.

I know the winter updates getting fixed n all but i just gotta say my experience with it. (twisted/toon spoilers ig..???) btw, i have none of these toons! this is based on what i see!

okay first off with Rudie! I don't even have a problem with him, hes a cool toon with a silly personality! decent stats, very fun ability similar to flutters. His twister is also cool, hes the 2nd character to have a glow! except now you have to guess if its brughtney or rudie LOL (i prefer Rudie.. I hate you Brightney stop turning off the lights.) back to him and his personality, Qwel hinted that there was something eating yp at the back of his mind that he cant internally control. when I saw it I thought it was his nose.. and maybe- might be. or maybe its his holiday spirit.. theres barely any interactions on the wiki but he talks about christmas a lot and it kinda looks like some toons don't like it/confused.. i love Rudie though hes so cool 9/10

Nexttt up GINGER! shes so cute i love her design a lot.. I find it very cool that her and Cosmo are cousins, I really love related toons. Her personality is peak.. i love shy toons. im kind of confused about her introduction though? "Ginger may be a little shy but has an eye for design! Bobette! the first main after the confirmed 5! it feels very weird to have another.. and honestly? id rather only have the 5 mains we had. SORRYY SORRY! a small part of the situation is just that we were seeing a irl friend today that i don’t really like so i had to pretend i do because everyone else does like that friend, so i was on edge a lot beforehand, during, and after. the main situation i’m having is that for some reason when trying to watch the first episode (which i tried before the friend thing) i just for some reason had to stop watching after 4 minutes and i think it had to do with the (show’s/canon) pearl? i’m not exactly sure why but i got upset or maybe uncomfortable for some reason and i’m not really sure why. iris and toms decided to look into the wiki for su for some reason (since i don’t really mind spoilers for this show, since it’s not particularly new or anything). somehow that landed with me crying over pink pearl/volleyball and i’ve been upset over her for the past 24 ish hours and i’m not sure why so it’s stressing me out. tom and iris seem to think it might be a fictionkin thing but i’m really hesitant on that.

lowkey swordfighter bombs are kinda useless bc bombs take time to use...the more tedious but untimed bombfish is still the easier way :/

charging my switch with my battery pack but its hard to play it like that...i got it up to 38% at least. very stressful and a great motivator to think fast
