More on the global bigfoot phenomena. Bigfoot are everywhere except Antarctica apparently. We still can't get a physical specimen for science though.

Ancardia's Unusual Animals--The Yeti, or Yowie
Classification: Humanoid (primate)
Habitat: Scattered pockets in Tvearban (yeti), and scattered pockets in glacial intrusion zones in the Underground (yowie).
The Yeti, or the Yowie as it is called by Underground cultures, is the largest extant ape in all of Ancardia, though still somewhat smaller than frost giants, hill giants, and some ogres. Averaging nearly 3 meters tall in a bipedal stance and frequently weighing more than 700 pounds, this creature is a gentle giant with cryptic, gorilla-like habits and a largely herbivorous diet. They are very rare in the 15th Age and are limited in range to a few river valleys north of the Drakalors and a few horizontally adjacent glacial intrusion zones in the upper layers of the Underground. Adapted for cooler temperatures and seasonal climates, the yeti has a thick coat of double-layered hair which is coarse and short with a light brown color in the summer and fluffy and luxurious with a gray to white color in winter. Among their yowie populations, albinos are more common and do not change from their white color at all.
While a number of rumor and tall tales exist which paint the yeti or yowie as a vicious man-eater and aggressive predator, these giant apes are highly peaceful and typically try to keep away from humanoids at all costs. Their gorilla-like behavior of trying to bluster and threaten off intruders from their home areas has likely been misconstrued as attacks, much like it has for gorillas themselves. Most of the yeti’s time is spent in foraging for edible grasses, herbs, fruits, nuts and tubers as well as socializing with troopmates. They frequently live in family units called troops numbering between 4 and 8 yeti, including young of several generations. This is smaller and more relational than the group dynamics of other great apes such as chimpanzees, but more naturally social than the arboreal oran-utan. Yowie are known to be extremely close to their young, which like many primates begin life tiny and mostly defenseless after an extremely long gestational period. As a result, yeti reproduce extremely slowly, usually only having one young every two years at the most, and more commonly waiting 4 years between offspring. Both parents, along with any other relatives which reside in the same troop such as aunts, older siblings, and grandparents, are strongly involved in the care of their young, and for the first year of a baby yeti’s life they seldom move more than a meter or so from their mother. The little apes become more curious, mobile, and daring as they enter the age range of between 2 and 5, where they learn most of their social skills and foraging know-how from a variety of troopmates, and they start to become more independent members of their troops after age 7 or 8. Yeti or yowie are considered full-sized at about age 12, but are only at fully matured breeding age at around 14 years. Usually, at this age, the young yetis will either integrate into their troop role, or break with their troop and roam to another area in the hopes of forming a new troop. These great apes typically have a natural lifespan between 55 and 75 years, similar to many other ape species.

I've thought about a cryptid side-scrolling beat-em up game where you'd play as various cryptids fighting malevolent cryptids and people who want to exploit cryptids in general.
A Sasquatch named Jacko would be representing North America, a Yeti named Ti-Chu would be representing Asia, a Chupacabra named Karovd would be representing South America, a Yowie would be representing Australia, Owlman would be representing Europe and the Nandi bear would be representing Africa. There would be human allies, but they wouldn't be playable.
Jacko would recover health from eating roots, berries, leaves, cow or rat meat, stolen fish, donuts and chocolate.
Enemy cryptids would include the Goatman and the Beast of Bray Road. Cameo cryptids would include Mothman, the Loch Ness Monster and Champ.
The main human villains would be from this state based on the 1920's Soviet Union and early 2000's Pakistan and they would be trying to create ape-human hybrid super-soldiers, but the twist would be they would be completely useless, having the intelligence of a chimpanzee, the strength of a human being and impossible to order around.
At least one level would be about rescuing the Loch Ness Monster.
I have no game making skill, but I wouldn't mind being the mastermind behind it, but the possibility of it ever becoming an actual thing is impossible.

What is the source of ancient legends consistent with indigenous peoples of the Americas, and tribal members around the world, of intelligent hairy giants that live in remote places, evading capture from hunters and researchers..? For the past 5 years, Emily have been studying Sasquatch, an unrecognized species that inhabits not only the forests of North America, but the entire world. BIGFOOT
Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, Yowie, Snookums, Skunk Ape, Yeti, and other names is one of the most well-known cryptids in North American folklore. Here’s a detailed look at Bigfoot:
Origins and History: The legend of Bigfoot has been part of Native American folklore for centuries, with various tribes having their own names and stories for the creature. The modern concept of Bigfoot emerged in the mid-20th century, with numerous reported sightings and footprint discoveries, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
Physical Description: Bigfoot is typically described as a large, ape-like creature standing between 6 to 10 feet tall, covered in dark brown or reddish hair. Witnesses often report a strong, unpleasant odor associated with the creature. It is said to have large feet, hence the name, with footprints measuring up to 24 inches in length.
Behavior and Sightings: Bigfoot is often reported to be shy and reclusive, avoiding human contact. Sightings usually occur in remote, forested areas. Witnesses have reported seeing the creature walking upright, similar to a human, and sometimes making loud, vocalizations or tree-knocking sounds.
Evidence and Research: Evidence for Bigfoot includes eyewitness accounts, blurry photographs, video footage, and plaster casts of footprints. The most famous piece of evidence is the Patterson-Gimlin film, shot in 1967, which purportedly shows a female Bigfoot walking through Bluff Creek, California. Despite numerous investigations, no conclusive proof has been found.
Explanations and Theories: There are several theories about what Bigfoot could be. Some believe it is a yet-to-be-discovered species of primate or a relic population of Gigantopithecus, a giant ape that lived in Asia. Others suggest it could be a hoax, with sightings and evidence fabricated by pranksters. Skeptics often attribute sightings to misidentifications of known animals, such as bears.
Cultural Impact: Bigfoot has become a cultural icon, appearing in various forms of media, including movies, television shows, books, and video games. It has also inspired numerous expeditions and research organizations dedicated to proving its existence. Festivals and conferences celebrating Bigfoot are held annually in various locations.
Bigfoot remains one of the most enduring and popular cryptids, capturing the imagination of people worldwide and sparking ongoing debate and investigation.
