the cortland part comes from a friend i used to have (once again, long story) and kaard comes from rouxls kaard (deltarune) because he's uncle coded and i used to associate with him hard

Who's your fave and least fave VSAU character to draw?

EASY LEAST FAVORITE; Fwhip, specifically as Hephaestus. I struggle to draw mechanical things and I JUSTTT HAD TO give him mechanical arms huh he will get smth easier to draw eventually cus he is inspired by a certain other supervillain but he's still got these clunky big ones so I'm euUUuUgh whenever I have to navigate drawing them

Grian/Pearl/Ariana/Emmett come close behind bc drawing wings is a BITCH yet I keep designing characters with them. also sheriff and his STUPID HAT.... as you can see I design characters without thinking about the fact that I'm the one who has to draw them repeatedly

see Spectrum is the easiest to draw because of muscle memory but he's not actually my favorite to draw. Its Oli AND IVE ONLY DRAWN HIIM MAYBE 3 TIMES. and no its not bc I enjoy bullying CC Oli, its causehe's my scrunkly and I RLLY like how I designed him,, I just haven't gotten to introducing him in the main comic yet auauauGGH

Was your inspiration when creating Haruko Ren Sangonomiya Kokomi? Since they’re my two faves I just thought they looked quite alike

✦゜ANSWERED: Ren was originally based off of my old UTAU/Vocaloid OC, so there are no real visual inspirations for his design!! ^^ I just like creating pink/white-haired scrunklies who are perhaps a bit unhinged lmao

Also this isn't directed at you by any means, but just so others are aware: I'm not really comfortable with people comparing Ren to other characters (it diminishes all the effort I put into making his design and personality unique, and oftentimes leads to people mischaracterising him (i.e. if he looks like Kokomi then he must act like Kokomi as well)). It's not fun being put in another character's box when I wasn't intending to be there in the first place ;v; /nm /lh

this is not going to shock a single person. but it's the goddamn australian. he's like 90% blorbo and 10% i want to make him suffer. i joke sometimes about having a character type and the venn diagram of that type and chase is a circle. parental trauma. fawn response. apathy/distraction/cheerful facade covering a deep well not of sadness but of nothingness. silly guys who don't take things very seriously until it matters. i could go on. it's awful. i stood no chance. i also really like the dichotomy (in characters and this asshole) of "comes off as a little dim, is actually super smart and capable when necessary," it's not like the main thing but it helps. i love that he keeps failing up in life, pure nepobaby trajectory, but every year he also gets a little more miserable. i love that no one has ever loved him. i love that he gets a six month marriage and, while cameron is not blameless, he also does a lot of the work to screw it up on his own. awful. i even love (to hate) his horrific little outfits.

hmmmm. you know what. i'm going to go real left field here and say taub. not that i'd define it as cuteness aggression exactly. but to me he's like a perfect little dash of salt and pepper in a scene. he improves every scene, he usually has a fun line, he's rarely my favorite part of the show but i always enjoy his presence in it. you know what one scene in s6 where foreman and 13 are fighting, and house tells "everyone who hasn't slept with thirteen" to leave the room. chase is basically a chase-shaped hole in the wall he is gone before house finishes talking, but taub just sits there deadass for a solid minute. that's what i mean when i say he improves everything. incredible, flawless joke.

foreman to me. i don't understand why, in myself and in others. he's like. he's literally the main character of the team. he gets insane focus and character growth and arcs and development and he's so good. and yet no one talks about him. i don't talk about him. i can only gesture to him like -- look at this man!! he's so great!!! -- and then i have nothing. however i need to state for the record that he is great and i love him and also love to see him struggle and suffer and be a little bitch

nurse brenda why did they ever get rid of you. star of s1. whenever she appears on sceen, hatred in her heart, i'm just blushing and giggling. love her in kids when foreman is trying to act all important and she sends him to the back of the line. love her giving the gang the sideeye in the euthanasia episode. i bet every single one of the team has gone "well, it makes sense she hates them, but she respects me" and been proven wrong. perfect background character

i'm also going to throw thirteen in here, not because she's all that obscure but she falls into the same foreman character slot of "i adore her and think she's very fun" for me, but i talk about her slightly more and think about her slightly less

i feel like half the characters on house are this tbh. however i'm going to give this award to cameron, my other favorite child, because i swear half the reason i love her so much is that the rest of you don't understand her. like i do. i can and i will just yell about this for hours. hate how fandom treats cameron, either by just straight bashing her or by completely rewriting her and erasing half her traits to make her your nice OC who you can put in situations. i do think she has done many things wrong in her life, i think she is unkind and selfish and sometimes hypocritical, and i do not think these traits need to be smoothed or addressed or erased. i think she is super nice and sweet and lowkey depressed and highkey a control freak. i love how weird and horny she is. i love how normal she thinks she is. i bet, even though she is a scientist and knows better, she lowkey also believes crystals can heal her

both cameron and chase are this for me. chase needs it less because he keeps fucking up his own life and then staring at the mess with tears in his eyes, so there's less of a challenge, however i think cameron benefits from torment and situations because she's such a freak. because she's so fun. it's building character. it's exciting. she always reacts in insane and yet fascinating ways to stress and challenge and self-awareness and i want her to do it more.

Zagreus. Oh my god, Zagreus. My favourite video game protagonist hands down.

Many of my Felix mutuals like to joke that he would never play video games because of the whole “controlling a character” bit, but I’m here to tell you: he would play Hades, in fact he did play Hades while watching his father slowly die in the hospital, delivering the final blow without breaking eye contact Every. Single. Time.

And of course, he developed the biggest crush on Zagreus.

Zagreus spent his entire life (potentially centuries?) enduring the most horrifying abuse and then just. Woke up one day and decided he had had enough. He dies again and again and and again, always respawning in the very same prison he grew up in no matter what, but he does not let it get to him; instead, he picks himself up and tries again, just for a chance to catch a glimpse of the sun. Not taking any bullshit from anyone, but remaining kind and soft through his entire ordeal.

A model and an inspiration to us all. ❤️🩸

When I saw her eyes, I cried. Because one of the first things Zag asked Hades upon learning the truth about his parentage was wether or not he had any siblings. If there was someone like him, out there, going through similar hardships.

I was so happy for him I did not immediately realise that meant we would get a hella sapphic game. 🧡🌙

(Also… not a character, but the Great Divide is a fun episode and you all are way too mean about it. Yes, it does have some.. questionable implications, but all the arguments about how it doesn’t further the plot are stupid as fuck because IMO, if we have time for half a dozen random Fire Nation adventures and a whole episode dedicated to Zuko’s sob story and the trashfire that Ember Island Players is, we have time for the Great Divide. Okay I have to ask you about the fandom post thingy for Magia Record, I feel it's gonna be very entertaining to read about your picks *sits with virtual popcorn*

The one and the only Mikoto Sena. She has invaded my thoughts and lingers with me like an ever present ghost at all times, waiting to see if whatever my current situation is can be improved with her or can inspire more ideas related to her. For a supposed “late” addition to the Arc 2 story, she’s exceptionally well written and so so fascinating. She makes me want to chew glass in the best way possible.

SNAA. I just want to coddle her in bubble wrap and protect her from all her trauma. She’s so precious and adorable and deserves the best at everything. Every time she smiles, I believe an angel gets its wings.

Sunao! I feel like no one talks about her at all (even when talking about the Tokime) and she has such a crunchy backstory that I feel is rarely explored. If she was a male character I know she’d have more fans. It doesn’t help that most of the talk I have seen about her tends to reduce her abilities and undermines her trauma.

Also- Hanna. She gets pegged as a one-dimensional villain and like that’s not who she is at all? She’s so complex and fascinating, I want to shake people who don’t see that. Like go watch Sayonara Storage and really take in all this girl is going through just on the off chance she can bring Mikoto back to the light. I am rotating her in my mind like a rotisserie chicken.

(Insert my ‘I Support Women’s Wrongs’ emote here) Also, they go in the salad spinner.

( see back when the show was airing, it for SURE was discord. fuckin' loved discord, really only got into the fandom because i loved him and his intro episode so much. over the years i've drifted more towards princess celestia. she's just ... really interesting and pretty to me. i like imagining her backstory and how she lives her day to day life in canterlot. discord is def still dear to me, but he's gonna hafta be okay with sharing the ' favorite ' spot. )

APPLEJACK. i never understood the whole complaint that she's too boring or doesn't do enough. she's an absolute delight, a total sweetheart, and just because she's got her professional life all figured out from the jump doesn't mean there isn't more things for her to learn. i love that we saw her soften over the series from constantly working and NEEDING to do things a certain way, to finally opening up more time for leisure and passing off more responsibilities to her siblings. )
