answering this several days later not because i had a Mental Illness Moment but because it's cool to take your time with asks /j

ANYWAY for your treat.... i offer you... some oc info! specifically about one of those storage facility horror ocs i mentioned the other night :3c first, a picrew, bc i have yet to draw them properly.

this is the protag of that atm, nathan gates! they're the store manager of the locally-owned Jefferson Memorial Storage, and they're pretty sure something is deeply, deeply wrong with this facility. but... well... it seems harmless enough, they suppose. no one's gotten hurt, at least.

their first week at the facility, nathan got lost in what they jokingly call The Labyrinth, the often-confusing maze of storage units that leaves new hires dazed trying to navigate it. they were gone for only 20 minutes, but to them it felt like hours.

after what felt like 3 hours, they were exhausted and shaky, hardly able to see through their swimming vision, and they'd had enough. in a fit of desperation, they threw their broom down and yelled, "goddammit, i don't have time for this! let me out, you fucking asshole!"

there was a pause, and they heard a rustling sound behind them. and suddenly their vision cleared. after that, they found the exit almost immediately, just around a corner they'd already checked multiple times. and after that day, nathan never got lost again, always having a sixth sense of sorts for where to go in the labyrinth.

a few days later, they noticed a black spot on their hand that wasn't there before. they chose to ignore it, even as it got bigger with time...

other notes for nathan:

- 28, they/them pronouns

- rides a bike to and from work every day, because they refuse to get a car. they care more about the bike than their own safety at times.

- the black mark on their hand eventually moves freely around their body and usually takes the shape of a tattoo across their chest. they've accepted it.

- incredibly dry sense of humor, very apathetic

- their skin is darker than in this picrew, and i imagine them as being filipino!

- they believe the facility they work at does have an entity living within it, but they aren't afraid of it in the slightest. as i said before, no one's gotten hurt, so it's probably fine... right?

- i imagine they do have some facial hair, once again not indicated by the picrew. they've tried to grow a beard but hate how anything beyond a little stubble feels on their face.
