And no one asked but here's the full rundown on my Drawtectives Agere headcanons:

Rosé was the one who got them all into it and explained it to them. She's a Younger Teen/Big Sister regressor, specifically around 14 years old most times. She likes to treat York as a baby brother when she's regressed and do his hair and nails, and he just lets her. She doesn't really need a caregiver and did fine on her own for years, until she met Jancy and completely changed her mind she loves her cranky aloof mom <3

York doesn't get it but he doesn't need to get it to engage with Agere. He himself probably qualifies as a Little Brother Dreamer. He doesn't mentally regress, but he likes acting as Rosé's baby brother and finds a lot of comfort in not being expected to talk or read when she's regressed. He's yet to make the connection between finding comfort in these activities and missing his real older brother.

Grendan falls into that grey area between Pet Regressors and Therian/Otherkin types. She's not a puppy like most Pet Regressors, he's more of an Old Dog type. The kinda dog that just lays there while you poke at it and tie it's fur in ponytails, the perfect babysitter type dog. So Grenda is both a Therian Companion Caregiver and a Pet Regressor at the same time.

The three of them only ever regress together, usually Rosé is the trigger, getting caught up in old habits or silly teen girly things and dragging the other two in with her. Their favorite place to regress is their shared apartment and Jancy's office (when Rosé doesn't have work to be doing of course)

Jancy is super observant and obviously knows the difference when the trio have regressed, but she barely treats them any different. She finds Rosé likes praise and showing off York, so she'll applaud at whatever weird hairstyle she's done for him and compliment her work, but the other two are perfectly fine with the normal way she speaks to them. Probably because Jancy is the type to speak to a baby and a dog like one would a police officer at a crime scene.

Eugene is the only one I can't figure out, I feel like he'd get the most out of regression, and sense he's their son I feel like the crew caregiving for a really tiny Genie would be very cute, but I dunno it doesn't click in my head. Maybe he just doesn't know about Agere yet, or that it happens to him. He's just unaware about himself in a lot of aspects.

I think Caregiver Felix would be very cute though...

Didnt wanna derail someone elses post but they were talking about how they feel like they bore their cg cuz all they wanna do is cuddle and stuff.

I have the opposite problem. I fear asking too much, because i get bored. All the cg babysitters ive had, most tend to leave me to my own devices while they do other things. They'll show me where the toys are, and im left to play. And thats ok...for a little while.

But what i want is someone to play WITH me. The few time we were cuddling and i said i was bored and wanted to play, theyd ask what i want to play. And i say i dont know, i dont know how to play, i just know i wanna do it.

I need them to take me to the toys, and sit with me. Play WITH me. You cant just...take off and leave me alone. That's not fair. That's not fair at all. Stay with me. Play with me. Please dont leave me alone for so long.

I start to get...fussy, after a while. Frustrated. Kicking and poutting because this isnt what i want. I know what i want, but i dont know how to ask for it. I try to tell them, but half the time they just...never see me again. I want to play, i dont want to be alone all the time. Being alone was the problem in the first place

🌟 - What is regression like for your f/o?

Peach is very small when Regressed, toddling age at most. She's very calm and quiet, mostly enjoying tummy time and watching the people around her. She likes laying in the garden and being held.

🐱 - How do they talk to you when regressed? Do they call you any special name?

Peach never speaks while regressed, she hardly even babbles or cries, she's a poised little princess. At most she'll make grabby hands for certain people, mostly Mario, and make the softest little want noise, but she's yet to speak while little.

🖍️ - Favorite activities to do together when they're regressed?

Like I mentioned Peach is very passive while regressed, she's so very small and quiet, she doesn't seem to have preferred activities. She seems the happiest just laying in the yard, picking flowers, but that's really just an assumption.

Mario understands her better than Luigi and I do, so we both just follow his lead and fill in where we can. She keeps coming back so we assume we're doing a good job as her Caregivers.

keywords to use when looking for fun child-friendly games on flashpoint!꒰› ω ‹ ꒱☆〜

for those unaware, flashpoint is a program you can download onto your pc that has thousands of flash games from all around the web archived into one program! i have a tutorial on how to download it here!

always remember to stick to the OFFICIALLY LICENSED games! not that the third party games are bad or dangerous, but theyre just generally of a lower quality and not as fun. my favorite keywords list is under the cut!

some general flashpoint tips

make sure explicit content is turned off! you can do this in the config tab. if you have explicit content turned on, adult games can show up in searches (especially if you search stuff like my little pony)

avoid games that are from newgrounds, deviantart, etc. those games can be violent, gorey, or suggestive, and can pop up even if the explicit content is turned off

each game has tags, publishers, etc in the description that you can click on to narrow down your searches!

not all games work properly. some may glitch, have lost assets, or not load at all. these things will usually be specified in the "notes" of the description, make sure to read those before playing!

and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! there are literally thousands of games at your disposal here to play around with. this program offers hours of fun for regressors or people who love nostalgia!

I think a decent amount of people are somewhat aware of it in the sense that they know they or others feel small and scared when something shocking happens and they just ascribe that to regular, non regression related 'small and scared and feeling like a helpless child'. It's also somewhat common knowledge that someone might act like a child in tense situations but they see that as a Thing that Happens and don't really think much of it. Like, the gag where a character would ask for their mummy or start crying like a kid.

Some poeple do recognise regression as reverting back to a younger headspace but don't really have the language for it and they also don't see it in the way we (the online community) sees it. A lot of us use it like a tool and treat it like an identity and embrace it. Someone who might be prone to regression who doesn't embrace it or really think of it in a certain way much might not regress as much, creating or existing in an enviroment where regression is seen in a certain light can encourage it too!

I think also that the lines between regressor and non-regressor are really, really not as black and white as some people think. When it comes to psychology it can be pretty hard to draw lines in the sand, the brain is SO complex and there's so many layers to it. Some choose to make room in their life for regression, some fight it, some aren't aware and some just are doing their own thing.

So it's quite likely that there are quite a few people who do similar things to you in your area but not everyone is in the online agere community, nor even call it the same things!

one sad thing i think about sometimes is like... well, yeah, agere/agedre communities aren't as massive... but also it's practically non-existent where i'm from and that thought sometimes feels lonely even though online communities exist... i think it's something about knowing you're not geographically alone in the way you cope ?

Traits and Behaviors

These teeny babies are often dependent on their cgs as they may struggle with getting things done on their own.

-They may crawl and roll instead of walking

-They may be non or semi-verbal

-Often very sensitive to tone

-At this stage, these babies may prefer to cuddle up to their cg and have a nice nap

-They may enjoy reaction games like peek-a-boo instead of bigger kid activities like climbing trees and playing video games

-These little ones may enjoy being coo'd at and sung to as it can be hard for them to contribute much to a verbal conversation

-They may cry to communicate instead of using words

-These babies may find it hard to see what's wrong with them (They may be hungry, thirsty, tired, they may need a diapy change)

-These tiny babies may need diapies or reminded to go use the potty

-They may need help doing most tasks, feeding themselves, picking out clothes, showers or baths, most things biological babies would need help with, these tinies will need help with

Paying Attention to Your Baby's Non-verbal Ques

You need to make sure that when your baby is regressed to such a dependent age like this that you're paying attention to their non-verbal ques. If their body language indicates that they're uncomfortable then take that as a sign.

Take notice of your baby's schedule, that may be easier to tell what they need. If it's their lunch time and they're expressing discomfort, they may be hungry. If it's close to bedtime and they're a bit fussy, maybe it's time to get them ready for bed.

Another thing to take notice of is their body language, if they're rubbing their eyes then they may be tired and need a nap, if their tummy is growling, they may need to use the potty or they may be hungry.

If in doubt, asking your baby yes or no questions could help a lot and all they need to do is nod or shake their head.

Diapies

Some babies in this age range may wear dipies! It's So important that you as their caregiver know how to diaper safely (if you do their diapy Changes)

Always communicate with your tiny! Tell them what you're doing and ask if they're okay with it

Ex: "You need a diapy change, sweet baby, do you want me to change you or do you want to do it yourself?"

"You need a diapy change, little one, is it okay if I change your diapy?"

And make sure your tiny is comfortable during their diapy change, make sure they have their favorite paci and stuffie and make sure to have a blankie on hang in case they get uncomfortable or cold!

Make sure you're changing frequently if they're using their diapies and make sure you're using baby powders and barrier creams to stay safe

Activities and Fun Things to do With Your Baby

So you may be finding it harder to find some fun activities to do with a baby so young but I'm here to help!

Sensory play is always great fun to a baby this age, babies are super curious and always looking for something to keep their attention so playing with toys together like rattles, fluffy toys, toys that make noise can be great stimulation for your baby's mind and it can also help them maintain their regressed state better. Playing games together like match making games is always good. Reaction games are also great for Regressors this age as well like peek-a-boo and patty cake

Bath time is always great fun and binding time for any regression age, having these little ones splash and play in some shallow bath water is so fun, make sure to put some bubbles in the bath for your baby to enjoy

A great way to get in some quality time is watching a movie together too! Bright colors and the voices from the characters from a movie of your choosing is a great way to keep your little one entertained.

Food

Usually baby regressors want soft foods! So foods like mashed potatoes, oatmeal, grits and yogurt, soft foods like that can be great for baby regressors cause they don't have to chew or think super hard about what they want to eat. Another thing you can do is blend up some of your favorite fruits and add some yogurt into the mixture to make sure your blend is nice and smooth. Bananas and steamed vegetables are also great because they can be soft and easy for your little one to eat!

Shows Movies and More!

Some great shows are shows aimed towards a younger crowd

You can find some great shows for younger kids on sites like Nick Jr, Disney Jr, and pbs kids!

Personally, I like shows like Octonauts, Gabby's doll house, baby einstein and Thomas the tank engine

Some movies I like to watch are actually Disney movies when I regress to an age so so tiny! I like Winnie the pooh, I like toy story and Cars but I also have been trying to lean away from Disney recently due to their political stances and I've found some great movies on Netflix Instead!

Know Your Baby!

Know your baby before they regress around you, ask them what they like to do and like to watch well Before they end up being so itty bitty with you! I know it's tough to have the awkward conversations but it's so important to know how your baby expresses themself Before you're in a situation where you don't know what to do. Each and every regressor has a different experience regressing so I may love something while someone else may not.

(Undertale) Sans regresses because of loosing his father due to the incident at the core, having grow up faster in order to take of Papyrus at a young age, becoming hyper aware of the world they’re living and existential dread, Frisk’s (Geno) run, and the often resets.

In Undertale, before they’re let out onto the surface; Toriel found out Sans was an age regressor before sans was even able to tell.

In moments of impure regression, which is how Toriel found out about Sans regression, (He had a huge breakdown near the ruins) She comforted him best he could and sang to him until he calmed down, then afterwards read a book of jokes and puns to him.

When they make it to the surface Frisk finds out about Sans’s regression (Papyrus accidentally told her) and She’s also cool with it, now she can hang out with her brother figure who’s interested in doing things kids her age do without him ever feeling too grown up to play with her. She also understands that this is just how Sans copes with some of the issues she’s caused, which resulted in her making a promise to never reset again.

Underswap a way different though. Sans age dreams for fun,and especially on bad days. Papyrus doesn’t mind it because he supports Sans in literally, and even admires him for being able to let out his inner child.

Before you read, I'm making a few rules / disclaimers. I am not a part of a system. I made this as both a req and a way of beginning to learn how to write hcs for systems. Any and all (gentle) criticism is welcomed! I headcanon Doey to be a part of a system with the 3 kids in his body. Finally, I will not tolerate discourse, I have no interest in listening to fights about who is and who isn't valid. I don't care about your views. Do not discuss them here.

• Doey's system originates from the young children combined in their body, as well as the traumatic event that involved such.

• Doey experiences bad dissociative episodes. They got especially bad when Poppy left. Matthew, who is the systems caregiver, was able to regress around her, so her leaving was very triggering.

• Their episodes are disabling and disorientating, but they try to push them down so as not to scare the little toys.

• Their collective name is, of course, Doey the Doughman, and their connection to their human names has disappeared with time.

• They don't exactly have a "host," they share a body made for them and have equal amounts of identity amongst it.

• Jack is their systems little, being the first body in Doey, his trauma and fear can easily affect the others in their system. Usually agitating Kevin or making Matthew anxious.

• Kevin took the form as a protector to cope with the abuse and trauma all 3 experienced. He tends to front mostly when they collectively are all upset. He is extremely moody and aggressive, as well as impulsive.

• Matthew fronts the most, as he is the most mature. He acts as the systems caregiver, proving comfort to the others during times of pain. Both in his system and the toys around him.

• Kevin and Matthew are very protective and brotherly to Jack.

• They have a few other alters, but those were not once physical human beings such as the 3 boys.

• On nights where Jack is fussy, Matthew will care for him, reassuring him he's safe and they'll have dinner in the morning. And one day, he'll be home to mommy and daddy.

• Kevin has ADHD, which ended up spreading to their entire new body. Doey spends time stimming by singing and humming their old theme song. as well as clapping, wiggling, and stretching their limbs

• These are also grounding techniques for when they feel somewhat switchy.

• Kevin tries not to regress, not wanting to be seen as weak, however occasionally he does slip.

• He's an impure regressor, much more violent and cranky than Jack is. But Matthew knows how to handle him.
