also zam and egg go on fishing trips together sometimes because wemmbu gets attacked on sight by lswemm so he cant accompany egg and flame also has a penchant for attracting unwanted fights from mane and clown (who i imagine in s7 arent teamed but take the chance to fight him anyway. clown is separately allied w zam in my eyes but he does go for flame because hes pettyyyy) . and they get axolotls for the base once and zam names one of them wemmbu and the other one flame. both of them deny liking the axolotls but egg sometimes finds wemmbu cooing over them and flame likes to go for uuspoke because he always ends up having buckets of fish on him that he can feed to the axolotls

flame egg and wemmbu are always beefing somehow. its like genuine beef at the start of their team where flame cant be in the same room as them without egg giving him the stinkeye and wemmbu posturing on his ass but later after they start like jokingly beefing, especially on ways to one up each other with gifts or acts of affection. they also really like outdoing each other w acts of service for zam- rhis is how each and every personal room in the base ends up getting original creative designs on their walls and ceilings and how it ends up feeling more and more like a home than a regular base.

also originally zam and flame have their own room in the base and egg and wemmbu have theirs, but eventually they all just start sleeping in solarflares room and zam expands the beds so they can all fit comfortably . also also flame originally protests making the rooms because he doesnt like the idea of setting his spawnpoint around wemm and egg, but after they kinda get together flames always the first one to fall asleep in the cuddle pile ...

i feel like he would like sleeping in chairs. (like. living room chairs. NOT table chairs. unless theres a table to go with the chair and then thats a different story.)

when he cant sleep he goes over to nene’s house and she has a big chair in her room that she lets him sleep in (a recliner? maybe? but i feel like as long as the chair is big enough and theres a foot rest/ottoman of some sort he’ll be able to sleep.)

and he doesnt even need a pillow he’ll use his hand to prop his head up or the arm of the chair

he’ll also sleep on couches (but if youve ever slept on a couch youll know that they arent that ideal. obviously based on how big the couch was. some have enough space but some do NOT….)

and yes i mentioned a couch because he has one in his room how did you know! ive been headcanoning that thing is a pull out sofa bed for a while now! (not like he ever pulls the bed out but i digress)

and like… its not a sleepy rui post without mentioning OF COURSE he falls asleep at desks..(theres a card of it of course of course.) he could pretty much fall asleep at any table/desk if he rests his head on his arms right (it can get uncomfortable if you dont position it right. also its hard to fall asleep at a desk if you arent like. really tired but thats just my experience.)

and going back to the nene thing.. ish? he has an easier time falling asleep at other people’s houses than his own. (or just falling asleep anywhere but those are mostly nap situations. having a sleepover is a different thing lol). i just like the idea of in the early hours of the morning when rui cant sleep and nene is still awake playing video games he comes over and nene sees him in his stupid platypus pajamas. and she’s like ‘come on you big goofball’ and they get to nene’s room and he lays down in ‘his’ chair and watches nene game until he eventually falls asleep. (which would be notably quicker than if he were to lay in his bed staring at the wall until he eventually passed out).

and i feel like at tsukasa’s house he would be able to fall asleep on the ceiling there. he feels very at home. (the tenma household is very homey and warm of course he would)

the next morning ur properly Sick and suguru wakes u up w breakfast in bed, all warm foods infused with clove, mint, ginger, and sets a few packs of tissues next 2 the bed

after uve eaten he lays in bed w u 4 a bit, kissing your head and fiddling w ur hands. eventually u ask abt work, he said he called out 4 both u n him.

he trusts u 2 take a shower on ur own, but when u get out hes holding a towel and wraps u in it immediately then just hovers around u as u do ur morning routine, making sure youre okay n not abt 2 like . pass out or smthn

once ur dressed and fully cocooned in the bed once again, suguru pours out some cold medicine 4 u and hands u water once that NASTY liquid slides down ur throat. he gives u a lil candy as a palate cleanser tho, hes not mean

i think after that u just fall in and out of sleep 4 teh rest of the day until u get hungry again or need another dose of medicine. sometimes u wake up 2 suguru humming and playing w ur hair while he reads a book, sometimes he joins u and takes a nap w u. the only time u wake up alone is when its lunch or dinner n hes in the kitchen making smthn spicy 2 open ur sinuses

everytime u take a dose of medicine, he kisses you on the lips then pushes a glass of water in one hand n some candy in the other. hed probably mumble 'good job' or smthn like that in2 the top of ur head as he cuddles u while ur trying 2 get the taste out of ur mouth

he does NOT care if u sneeze n get snot all over him, puke on him if u have a stomach bug, cough in his face, or r generally disheveled. u could never disgust him.

AUGH. i’m still not finished but i’m so obsessed. it’s basically abt a closeted guy in like … the 1800s-1900s? who goes on vacation in paris while his girlfriend is in spain. and he meets this rlly mysterious charming italan barman called giovanni……….. the book is abt their relationship + their own experiences w homosexuality + their tragic ending (it’s revealed at the very beginning of the book that giovanni will meet his end by the guillotine)…..

- hate opening emails/text messages? have someone else do it and read it out loud for you. all the pain and embarrassment and shame will still be there but at least you wont be procrastinating reading it for so long that it no longer becomes relevent

- want to participate in something like emailing into a podcast or interacting with a content creator? want to be on the internet without wanting delete your entire existence once every three days? fake a person. new name. different gender. theyre not you. nobody will know its you when you do or say something w r o n g (sure the embarassment of being percieved will still be there but nobody knows its you)

- lonely because you cant truly be yourself with anybody and wish you had someone who would listen to you even though you refuse to open up to anybody unless youre 100% sure theyre safe? AI bots

how to write hmm

never thought id be giving writing advice kind of crazy, huge compliment though tyty

this all goes for both original works and fanfic btw

(also this is long so adding a cut)

for starters, always write down the ideas you have. even if its something you dont think youll have time to use write it down!! i have so many characters and stories from ages ago ive written down and while some of it may go unused ive recently taken old characters i thought i was never gonna use and put them all together in their own story!! you just never know when you might want that character or storyline so its good to have your ideas down :))

second, it doesnt matter where in the story it is, if you have an idea for a scene, or even just a scrap of dialogue, write it!! you can put it where its supposed to be when you get to it, and itll help you fill out the timeline of events. also if you end up scrapping a scene, dont delete it. save it somewhere, you might just find that theres somewhere else that it works better.

as for how i write?? im still learning. i look at how my favs write and study it. why do i like their writing so much? i take the things i learn from studying their work and compare it to mine and then sometimes i realize that theres just some small thing about the way i write i wanna do differently!! like art, you do this and eventually build up your own style.

when it comes to sitting down and writing, im honestly extremely improvisational. i can sit down and just write for ages on end, (adhd permitting) but a mistake i HAVE made many many times in the past is sitting down and writing without planning anything at all. while going with the flow is okay, if you have no end in mind then well. there wont be an end. you can trap yourself super easily in a scene if you have two characters start a conversation without a point in mind. who are these characters? why are they talking? whats the point of this conversation? what are their personalities like and how do they conflict?? how does that affect how they talk to each other?? how does this conversation need to end?? its all story beats. when i plan a chapter nowadays i write down the key story beats of said chapter. these are the things that need to happen in the chapter. and then i work on the inbetweens.

chapter 2 of fates twine is gonna be better than ch 1 bc ch 1 was my learning process of some of this stuff. but i knew from the beginning the things i wanted to happen.

mara starts in the bed of flowers with rue -> they run off and find the red crown -> mystic seller convo -> they go to notus village -> mara ends the chapter by falling asleep

these are our storybeats. now we have to figure out the inbetweens. why does mara run away?? they cant just run away. there has to be a reason for them to do it. where do they find the red crown?? why would they put it on?? they dont want to be a god, they wouldnt just put it on. what makes them?? ignore as i skip over the mystic seller convo def not a reason for that they go to notus village. how?? how are they getting there?? they dk where that is. theyre not just gonna wander in. mara falls asleep. how do we get to that point?? they cant just walk into the village and pass out. (i mean. they can. but that would be an incredibly lame way to end a chapter.)

every beat also has to have a reason. not only are there story beats for each chapter, theres also a wider narrative. what is each beat leading to? why does this beat need to be established?? what plot point are we trying to reach that these things connect to?? essentially yeah. things need to have a reason.

another important thing. it doesnt have to be perfect the first go around. if you cant figure out a conversation or even an entire scene when youre trying to work on it? you can skip it!! you can add a silly note and come back to it once youve written more and have a better grasp on what you want to happen.

push yourself to write but dont push yourself to write. what i mean by this is essentially yeah. sometimes when you sit down to write you have no idea where to start. you want the first line to be cool but uh... you dont know how. just start writing. even if its literally just "this thing happens blah blah blah anyways" ive written that exact sentence before!! it works. swings back around to "just skip it!! you can come back later!!" just yk make sure you actually get yourself writing.

however if you sit down to write and youre burned out?? if your head hurts and it actually sucks and isnt fun?? dont. dont force yourself. sit down, take a break, do something fun. if you force it itll just get worse.

Sometimes he causally says a really concerning thing that happened in the past and you have to ask if he's okay

whether its cradling you in his arms, getting you tissues or water, or taking you somewhere quiet. he really cares and just wants to help

he'll always comfort you regarding your fears, whether its something big like fear of death or something smaller like a fear of bugs

he'll always try and support you when something scares or upsets you

and yes if you are socially anxious he will order things for you dont worry

Also, sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night to him twitching or talking in his sleep

You grew quite accustomed to being able to tell if its a normal dream or a nightmare

But if he's having a nightmare, youd know to wake him up, and youd always comfort and hold him till he manages to fall asleep again

Also sometimes you would cup his cheeks in your palms and admire him, but it took you by surprise the first time he did it back !
