so anyways i mentioned this again to a friend who swiped some people for me on bumble and it was a match. one of them then send me like 3 options of things and i don't realize what it was for but apprently he was asking me out so all of a sudden he says okay how about wednesday or thrusday but like that scraes the crap out of me. but more than anything i really just don't have time right now cuz i'm so stressed about my thesis i have difficulty breathing every night when i fall asleep from the stress my thesis is giving me cuz i don't think i have enough time. so i passed. then my two friends saw and now one of em said ai'm using my thesis as an excuse and "it's just clear (I) don't want it which is fine but then stop whining about how (I'm) single" and it's just like wow okay then. easy for you to say. people don't really line up for people in their mid-20s who have zero experience, a lot of people just think i'm boring or a grey mouse which is really not a fun adjective to be described as, i'm just constantly hurt, and literally no one has ever even shown any interest in me. it's easy to be so care free about it all if you've had experience and flings and what not and know that people want you and love you but that's not me. no one wants me

-it becomes routine, you finish your classes for the day, check ur phone for ur daily “at the store today” or the rare “not at the store today”. And swing by the cozy little building, well more of a crack in the wall than anything but a store nonetheless  

-he always greets u with a smile, quickly followed by some dumb remark

“Don't fall asleep in the snack aisle again” “Unfortunately we just ran out of in isle beds sorry”

-he's truly a headache, the reasons as to why u always choose to come back remains a mystery to u and the general population

-there's one day where he tells you he'll be working the latest shift okay so he won't be there at your usual time. So instead u wear ur comfiest pjs, bring a few blankets and show up about 20 mins into his shift. Long after the streets have cleared of ppl. It reminds you of your first meeting all those nights ago

It's almost like you're the only 2 ppl in the world, and you let yourself believe it. Even for only the time shared together

-He pretends like the gesture doesn't make him blush and instead goes back to teasing

-About another 30 mins in does he decide to ditch the job and take u to the infamous community pool. There have been 0 customers is his excuse

The pool is in fact right behind the store, the back staff room leads right out to the warm summer night illuminated by a single street light in the far corner of the property. Just enough to be able to walk without dying.

There begins a little strip of mangled concrete that separates the two. And from that a wired fence to the back end of the pool that looks like it's seen much better days

-He's teasing about it, per usual

Lots of “come on it isnt even that cold”

“Barely anyone uses it when it's light out what makes u think there's gonna be an influx in users at 2 am”

He starts the climb up the fence, looping a foot in one of the larger holes between the wire. It doesn't take him much time to scale it, landing with a smirk on the other side

-You eventually give in, rolling your eyes while attempting to do the same. Embarrassingly enough you end up needing his help getting over it.

“Just such up and help me woo”

He laughs but helps you anyway. Climbing back over to help you get your footing. The gentle hold he has on your ankle makes this seem like a far more intimate activity. Until he all but throws you the rest of the way over

“God i hate you”

Laughs bubble from his mouth faster than he can stop them, clutching his stomach and wiping tears,,“That was fun tho come on you have to admit that much”

“Yeah yeah whatever. “ you huff, letting him lead you the rest of the way to the dark water.

He gives you a look before you shake your head, “I'm not swimming tho!! I have no extra clothes and i'm not gonna let these get all wet and gross” you sigh

“So swim without them” he shrugs

“I know, just swim without clothes? Live a little”

You can feel the blush slowly span your face at that, you hope he cant tell in the dark

He just laughs, not wasting time to peel his own clothes off and wiggling into the water. You try not to stare you really really do but holy hell does he make it hard. It's almost like he's taunting you with how slow he’s walking into the water

He turns to you after the water is up to his navel, motioning with a hand for you to join.

Really the problem isn't the situation at hand, skinny dipping seems like great fun rly, the problem lies with the man who you're in this predicament with. He's all but invaded your heart and mind at this point. He's just, so, everything you've ever wanted and more. Sweet smiles and even sweeter words, teasing but still kind, always making room for you in his life. Hard working to his core.

the way he looks at you while you tell him the most mundane things about your day makes your head spin, the care he takes into looking out for you is unmatched by anyone. you are so gone for him

He's also a bit mean, though, and if you stay out in the dark, he'll come jumping down onto you to give you a good scare

Appreciates that you'll always come back with things to use for decoration in your hidden home

Total heat lover, he's freezing all the time, so he just clings to you after you soak in all the sun

Lord, give this demon mercy

You are pretty forcibly totally opposites; even as a human, he was a night owl

While he is upset you don't acclimate to his own schedule, Rokuro is very interested in what you have to say after being out

He will watch as you quite literally talk yourself to sleep

Letting you sit between his legs, back facing him as he pulls sand from your hair and brushes it out

Your spirit is just as hot as the sun, but you are so small compared to him that it's borderline adorable

Eventually, you'll teeter into him while he finishes cleaning you up and fall asleep against his chest

He just wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you closer, maybe even tossing a blanket over your legs so you can be more comfortable

He is thankful for the sun and adventures tiring you out because it means you'll just slip away into his arms like this for a little while

Because of all your adventures, you sometimes come back nervously asking him for help because you 'accidentally fell into a bunch of poison ivy' or 'I didn't know parsnip was that pretty!'

He will always act annoyed and give a slight hiss when its the third time that week, but he loves being able to practically man-handle you

How would the Mercs comfort their s/o after a nightmare?

I think we all agree that although Scout acts tough, when he was a lil scooter he'd crawl to his mamas bed for comfort after a nightmare. So, in the same light, he'd ask you if you were comfortable sleeping with him/him sleeping with in your bed for comfort. He is a snorer, but he is also very warm and likes to cuddle up so i guess its a gift and a headache in a wonderful package.

Soldier might seem denser than concrete, but he is adamant that a soldier must sleep at least 7 hours to ensure perfection in the battlefield. It might be a pain to wake him up, but he'll do anything to help you sleep. Beware, he is a small spoon and will scoot as close to you. Maybe even give small hand kisses.

Pyro never sleep, but they will give you as many stuffies as you need to help you out a bit. Maybe even make some hot milk (or burned, they be trying allright). If you dont mind their plasticy suit they will even cuddle you ( or them nakey if they are really close to you).

Engie likes to stay up late yet he makes a fuss if he finds out if you do the same (hypocrite). He has stress nightmares a lot so he relates to you and is always down to have you explain your nightmare so he can disembowel and solve it. If you want to fall asleep again he'll get all cozy with ya and start talking about mathematics or engineering so you'll fall asleep.

Demo is kinda harder to wake up in account of being completely shitfaced but he sobers up faster than your average spicy drink consumer. He will cuddle you and atart telling you stories from his childhood or fairytails. If that aint working hell open the tv and try to pick the most boring/stale telenovela or program so you fall asleep.He likes to pet your hair so thatll help to make you get the sleepies fast.

Heavy has much experience with all kinds nightmare related. He knows how to deal with the whole shebang - warm milk and huggies for you to get the sleepies. If that doesnt work, hell start reading some book in russian to you so youll fall asleep from his asmr reading voice (field tested).

The nightowl to rule them all- Medick- will probably offer you some sleeping aid (melatonin or sleeping pills) at first. If you dont want/cant have them hell have you at the infantry and either let Archimedes lull you to sleep by his coos or hell start telling you doctor stuff so youll eventually fall asleep.

Sniper probably falls to the good ol back stargaze untill you fall asleep method, something Mama and Papa Sniper perfected. If he and you are in the mood, he might offer to cuddle under the starts and try and fail to braid your hair.

Spy might look unfaced but he suffers from nightmares constantly so he has no idea how to help you. Probably will offer sex to loosen up your nerves, or a hot bath and massage to make you sleepy. If you are really really close he'll take off his mask and youll cuddle up next to the fire place with his whispering soft french to ease your mind. Please cuddle him and he'll make soft french coos that'll lull you to the frencest of dreamland

when she did she panicked, calming only slightly seeing you alive and well.

with that she got out of bed and started shoving your clothes into a bag

you get up to stop her demanding she finally tell you what happened that night, why shes behaving the way she is, you only vaguely understood what happened but were largely in the dark about it.

jill sighs and finally tells you everything from what happened at that mansion, to what shes been researching, to her nightmares about you dying bc she couldn't protect you.

by the end of jill is crying into your shoulder as the stress of everything shes been holding crashes on her

you hold her and tell her youll be ok and that you dont want to leave but you will of it gives her peice of mind. that youll stay out of town.

You would have a really hard time going to sleep because how anxious you’ll Get over your father as he’ll get busy with work. George and Sapnap tried there best to help but nothing was working they tried giving you a bottle , plushes anything but no budge. You eventually started to cry which alerted Dream who was working on maps and the next plan against l’manberg. He finally decided to take a break and head over to your room as the two left the room. Dream gently lit up a candle and picked you up cradling you in his arms the soft bright green fabric around you. He sat in the rocking chair , gently rocking you and softly singing , comforting best he can, until you stop crying and fall asleep in his arms. Once you fall asleep he didn’t realized how tired he was and fell asleep in the chair holding you protectively in his arms. George and Sapnap later found out and took pictures of it as it was too cute not too.

QUACKITY - (along with Sapnap and Karl) recuèrdame 

It’s quite chaotic having three parental figures but to them you were there pride and joy. However you were sick and wasn’t feeling so good which worried all of them , especially seeing you have a hard time falling asleep and it was hurting their own sleep. ““Guys I’m really worried “ Sap says looking at others as Karl gave y/n medicine in there crib exhausted . Then quackity has a idea , walking out the room grabbing his guitar and walks back in y/n’s room. “  Guys, I have an idea maybe singing a song might help.” Karl perks up at the idea and nods ““that’s a good idea.” Quackity sat down on a chair beside the crib as they lowered the lights softly singing the song in Spanish. Karl and sapnap noticed it tiring you out and quietly hi five each other as you fall asleep much to the relief of all three of them. 

RANBOO - once upon a december

““Mate, have you tried giving them a pacifier or like song to calm down?” Ranboo perked and never thought of that . He thanked Phil and rushed off back home and sit on his bed , pulling y/n out the carrier. And hold them in his arms gently holding them and softly singing a song. Until sleepy enough he gently puts them in crib and left worked on his panic room. 

Ranboo was very new to the whole parenting thing and was pretty anxious of it all , he knew it was a lot of responsibility. And he wasn’t the best person to do this but you were his he couldn’t ditch you. He was getting used to it all, Philza would help him and give him tips and such considering he raised 3 boys. One day ranboo was doing some errands with y/n and being really fussy and not calming down no matter what he tried , he eventually ask Philza what to do. 

TECHNOBLADE - you will be okay

Having a new baby was difficult since he already have 3 rowdy boys , Tommy was proud he can be the big brother as he loudly proclaimed it. Techno was excited but wasn’t so hectic about it , and Wilbur was gushing over the new sibling. The boys surround Phil as he sat down holding the new baby wrapped in a bird theme blanket. “ Now, now I’m much as excited as you are boys over the new baby okay, but just becareful alright? “ Phil exclaimed as they sat down beside him the baby moving lightly. “ Sure thing big man! “ Wilbur perked up “ We’ll help you! Right techno?” The pink hair nodded in agreement wanting to read them Greek mythology when a toddler. “ well can you make dinner as I handle this for me?” Phil asked worried. The three boys nodded and rushed off as Phil stood up smiling softly singing to baby as he walked to their nursery. 

Being the child of ‘the blade’ has it perks and downs but the loud winds of the blizzard against the window was scaring you a lot and just being fussy and whimpering. Which obviously alerted techno who was brewing potions and quickly walked into his room with your crib beside his bed. He sighs in relief and gently picked you up in his rough big hands , so tiny and fragile in his arms, slowly walking downstairs. Sitting in his scarlet chair beside the fire gently rocking them softing singing to them. He gently fixed the baby blanket around them and kept them close to his chest to hear his heart beat. Once you were asleep he finally relaxes into his chair still holding onto you as he rest. He gently messes with your pink hair,“Sleep well my princess/prince.”

When fundy was still a toddler , he didn’t expect to have anymore children well he was wrong. He now had a new baby along his country and toddler son. It was very stressful but seeing how happy fundy to have a sibling made him happy. He would spend his free time tuning his guitar with a rocker and fundy playing with blocks as he plays songs for his children. It helps a lot with nap time as it calms them down and gets them sleepy. But they were so cute he couldn’t complain about it sadly Tommy has rushed in with no warning yelling startling both awake crying....not fun times...
