Jason takes a deep breath. He takes a deep breath, in for ten seconds, out for eight, and just takes a minute before looking again. Nope, there’s still the strange quartet of orbs in the box of what should be stolen weapons (What, the government had enough, honestly) that gave his workers the heebie-jeebies. 

Which is not the vibe he gets from them. In fact, he’s actually kind of concerned with how much he has to beat the Pit back with how quickly it lurches to latch onto the… Well they’re not gems, and he’s a little wary about touching them at first, but the Pit does seem to settle when he does.

Alright, he can deal with this. It’s not like he has several heads in a duffel bag that needs to be delivered or a tiny assassin child back in his safehouse (Seriously Talia, why was he the preferred babysitter?) or an entire gang in Crime Alley to deal with. It’ll be fine. 

…

He would like to curse out his past self, because there’s now four babies in his safehouse that appeared to have fucking hatched from the orbs. Goddamnit.

I think something important to remember is that just because somebody on here has appointed themselves king of … early medieval lit … or cold weather composting … or Joan Didion think pieces … or whatever, that doesn’t mean they’re nice - or even correct. It takes a while to figure out who actually knows more than you, versus who just likes to act like they do.

The follow up to this being that occasionally someone is quite knowledgeable - which does nothing to sweeten how sour they are at heart. I promise you can find the same pearls of wisdom on the lips of a nicer person, and spare yourself an ulcer.

i've seen you reference a couple times that you're not into the idea of Damian being batman when he grows up which i completely agree with on a narrative level as well. this begs the question though...what do you think would fit Damian best when he grows up? (and why is it Nightwing COUGH COUGH)

ideally, i would love for him to create a new identity and forge his own future without any ties to a legacy 😭

i’m a sucker for the whole Grayson legacy aspect they tease with Damian so i would be happy with him as Nightwing, but i’m content with just seeing fan interpretations of it 🥺 i think Nightwing is so tied to Dick Grayson it’s hard for me to imagine it as a mantle that needs to be passed down unless Dick’s choosing to do so
