Marty stared into the gleaming rubies of “his” crown.
“I’m not…” He laughed. “I can’t be—“
“You are,” the Queen, his “mother” said. “For months, we have never lost hope that you would return to us.”
Marty swallowed, eyeing “his” portrait. He certainly resembled the missing Prince of the Hill, but the closest Marty had ever come to being royalty was wearing a Burger King crown while eating a Whopper Jr.
He took Doc aside.
“Is that the guy?”
“That we hit with the DeLorean when we got here?” Doc murmured as calmly as possible. “Oh, yeah. That’s him.”

#my art#cotl#cotl lamb#cotl narinder#narilamb#in my first full playthrough i was annoyed at the final boss fight still but also was collecting all the follower forms#so i indoctrinated nari but when i saw the 'immortal' trait i went BET#and immediately sacrificed him#and then brought him back the next day because actually tactically having an unaging cult follower could be really useful#and gave him the moon necklace as a HAHA FUCK YOU. now you have to spend your eternal sleepless life worshipping me#also i made him a really agressive magenta colour just to fuck with him#(and then later realized this made him look like animal crossing bob)#and THEN i stopped and went. wait. if hes a follower now. can i marry him?#and then i got the other bishop followers and made them theur own little house complex#and then got really sad narinder couldnt use his because moon necklace#so i murdered him#and looted his corpse#and then i gave him the red crown necklace. also as a little fuck you.#and then by this point the brainworms had fully sunk in and i was like 🥺 nari should get to travel and see the world#and then he died on a mission so i looted his corpse again and THEN i gave him the missionary necklace#my first full playthrough was ...... chaotic

So so many thoughts about last night's episode!
Spoilers ahead
I know we all knew teen was Billy but come on that reveal with joe in the Scarlett witch crown had me SCREAMING and paired with YSSMIAC yesss I was yelllllling (also the song being a BILLIE eilish song YKYK) like yes my baby wiccan is here and he's looking for MOTHER.
As a die hard wanda maximoff stan, and someone who cannot be normal about Joe Locke, this was a great day for me!!
Seeing agathas evolution in the last few minutes was such an intense performance from mother hahn. The sadness with her mom, "i can be good" immediately taking Alice's power. Seemingly being regretful. Teen snapping at her and her immediately switching to snarky and rocky.
"Are you sure? You're so much like your mother"
JOE LOCKE HOLDING HIS OWN AGAINST HOLLYWOOD VETERANS that stare back at her was incredible.
Billy being so smart to not blast her and instead use mind control on the coven to wrangle agatha instead was chefs kiss. Again that final shot was simply a masterpiece I have not been this hype for a marvel project SINCE wandavision or no way home. Joe locke the man that you are welcome to the maximoff family.
Lastly I'm so interested to know where Rio went when Billy was chucking witches left and right into spicy mud. Most likely collecting alice but I am SAT for next week!!

please pretend that it looks like ares is taking the crown from paris instead of giving a crown to paris because having paris actively hand it over didn't work with the rest of the concept for this drawing
also please pretend that it actually looks like aphrodite is leaning over instead of looking like she's the same height as paris - a lot of the shading i used to indicate that she wasn't standing up straight got killed by the glowy hair effects

#paris of troy#aphrodite#apollo#ares#this drawing was inspired by me talking with a friend about the trojan royal family#and realizing that even for someone from a family with a lot of connection to the gods#paris has a *lot* of connection to the gods#i mean the connection to aphrodite should be. obvious#and there's also the story of ares for some reason deciding to enter a bull contest that paris was holding#(for those who aren't aware of this story: ares wins and paris gives him a crown as a prize)#and then paris was skilled with a bow and a lyre which would have been in apollo's domains#and the variant of achilles death i've seen most has apollo working with paris to kill achilles#(which means it was paris who apollo went to avenge hector and also apollo's son(s) that achilles killed)#and paris's first wife was a nymph and his second wife was a demigod#also this is stretching things but you could argue there's something to be said#for how athena - who (according to one account of tiresias's story) had blinded a mortal man for seeing her naked -#and hera - who had reason to not be very fond of trojan princes -#were both willing to accept a mortal trojan prince as their judge#and were both willing to offer up extremely generous rewards#although i do say that that's stretching since you could also just say they both wanted the apple badly enough#to accept the judge and offer up those prizes no matter who the judge was#also it has occured to me that since paris is also called alexander#everyone in this drawing has a name that starts with 'A'#anyway i think the joke i made to my friend is that paris might be godnip#like catnip. but for gods. godnip.#my art

Where is the Candy Queen love? I mean maybe I'm just a sucker for her design and voice work and just general demeanor but I can't be the only one
#also I kinda wanna get to thinking abt what specifically the Winter King transferred over to PB#cuz like we know the crown causes madness but Ice King's specific madness is different from the OG madness when it was first created#Ice King's madness is specific to his own characteristics so if Winter King transferred his obsessive love over to PB#then maybe that's why he was so chill about the mention of Betty? I know there's the whole memory thing goin on there too#like I dunno I really dig the implications of what specifically plagues Simon abt the crown like the kidnapping and obsession is obvious#the memory loss is anothet aspect but Winter King seemed to keep the confidence and self love from the crown#ooo I wonder if we had more of a chance to see Candy Queen if we would have saw the depression and self destructive behaviour#or if Ice King's madness while having aspects of his own madness goes ahead and mixes with PB's personality and psychology#causing for a slightly different effect to it all so while her madness was similar it still had aspects of herself in it just mixed together#anywayy I could totally get into this but again I'd have to rewatch like all of Adventure Time which I am not gonna do#I would pay heavy attention to everything Ice King related tho#I wonder how Winter King even managed to do all that... cuz he was Ice King so how did he become aware enough to do that to PB?#interesting interesting maybe a strong emotional trigger of some sort...#also I wonder if the madness was building up bcuz Winter King said this was an escalation... like was it a steady stream?#Just him beaming his madness into PB's head and the more he slipped away the worse she got until eventually the blender lmao#as you can see I think people should be talking about Candy Queen more

i need society to learn what improvised actually means
#an actor coming up with an idea in rehearsal and then the lighting and scene being set up and THEN shot#is not improvising#like IT WAS IMPROVISED THATS SO COOL and theyre talking about a moment with multiple camera angles and plotted movements and many takes#people were so rabid saying that HotD matt smith crown moment was improvised#like the thing they were watching was a moment of true inspiration caught on camera#people will see multiple camera angles and cuts and be like 'ah yes such spontaneity'#the thing brett Goldstein did in that ted lasso ep is also not really improvising#he talked about it off camera and they set up the shot HOW HARD IS THIS TO GRASP#if you cant tell it bugs me#people get like this about DiCaprio cutting his hand and bleeding in that film#as if they didnt call cut give him care and then add fake blood to continue the scene respectfully to his costar#as if it would be cool to get cut and bleed and then wipe your actual blood on your costars face#and not something you should be arrested for lmao#'created spontaneously without preparation' IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA AND THEN BLOCK THE SCENE THATS PREPARATION MMKAYYY#grinds my gears#you can say 'this was improvised in rehearsals and then prepared' but thats NOT what people mean when they say omg this was improvved#you can just tell they saw an article that said this was improvised and now fully believe the scene they watched was the spontaneous moment#id say like actual improvisation is a lot of the stuff in succession because they set so many cameras up and let the actors go for it#anywhom#I'll stop now 🤓
