I am begging people to be normal about completed fics, and in particular one shots.

I am begging people to stop demanding more from authors, and insisting that one shots need to be longer or have sequels.

I don't think yall understand how many fanfic authors are one more "where's the rest of it?" comment away from throwing out any plans they might have had to continue an idea.

Unless an author like specifically says they might write more for an idea, just-- assume something marked as completed is complete, and respect it as it stands, please.

There are absolutely more coming but I can't promise it'll be soon. Idk if you're new to my blog, but my muse wants what it wants 💀 I write for multiple ppl and I have multiple series floating around 💀 I really have to get back onto those. 💀

In the meantime, I hope you're searching out other amazing, talented, chefs kiss writers on here who are also writing for him 😮‍💨😮‍💨

I also hope you're leaving comments and reblogs. I'm as shy as they come, but this site will DIE and these amazing BLACK writers will leave because no one leaves comments or reblogs like they should.

You don't have to do anything you're uncomfortable with, but the best way to encourage writers and encourage more fics, is to share that you loved it. Writers spend hours to days to weeks crafting these pieces that you consume in 10-20 mins depending, the very least you can do is tell them that you liked it!

Thats it, that's all we really want. Writers got praise kinks. Pump those babies up and gush about their FREE work on here.

Oh, I'm so glad you reached out!! I wasn't sure if I was overstepping 😅 But omg I understand the people pleasing thing—I thanked my hurtful commenter, too!!! At least once, I replied something like "thanks for sticking with the fic despite disliking xyz" 🤦🏻 Definitely wish I'd just set the boundary from the start.
