Twenty Questions: Fic Author Edition
tagged by @bodyelectric77 :)
1-How many works do you have on ao3?
111, lol
2-What's your total AO3 word count?
1,389,833 on AO3 officially
3-What fandoms do you write for?
Hunger Games by a wide margin, and then if I get rid of the one-offs here are the fandoms I've written for at least twice:
Hunger Games Trilogy - Suzanne Collins (75)
Temeraire - Naomi Novik (6)
Marvel Cinematic Universe (4)
Wynonna Earp (TV) (3)
Dragon Age (Video Games) (2)
King Lear - Shakespeare (2)
Wonder Woman (Movies - Jenkins) (2)
The Deed of Paksenarrion - Elizabeth Moon (2)
Star Wars Original Trilogy (2)
Stranger Things (TV 2016) (2)
4-What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Slow Work (Steve/Bucky)
you can take the boy out of the desert (Luke Skywalker post-ANH)
Patience, Friend (Temeraire, Volly's hatching)
Embrace the Fire: The Avenger Games
welcome to your gory bed (Hunger Games, victor backstories)
5-Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I really, really want to, because comments make me SO SO SO happy, and I occasionally have some wonderful people who go through and comment on every single thing I've written which is the DREAM -- but I don't always have the mental bandwidth to do it. So let me just say right now that if you've ever left a comment I have read it, and I loved it, and you made my day better.
6-What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Uhhhh .... there are a lot. People can cast their votes on this one, but I'd say maybe Ambrosia or Don't Flinch?
7-What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I had to leave THG for this one, lol. But I think Impossible Magic, which is a fix-it for the Enchanted Forest Chronicles that solves something that bugged me about a series I otherwise adore.
8-Do you get hate on fics?
the real ones will remember, lol. I had one specific reader who would leave, like, novel-length comments on every single chapter of every single fic about everything he hated / disagreed with. My favourite was the list of my D2 victors in order of who he hoped would get killed off from most to least (Petra was at the top and Emory was at the bottom SORRY MAN). I honestly don't know why he was still reading if everything annoyed him so much, lmao.
If ever I get a mean anon I delete it though. You won't catch me responding to anon hate.
9-Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Not....... really. I write sex in very specific situations but it's usually to serve a purpose and I'm kind of ... vague about it, even when I think I'm being explicit (for me). I'm sure people could pick out sex written by me pretty easily. It's not exactly fade to black because that implies skipping to later, this is more like ... elisions, I guess.
10-Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Very famously, yes. I'm not sure what I'd consider the weirdest one. Temeraire / THG victors as dragons? Watership Down / THG rabbits?
11-Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Fanfic, no, I don't think so, but I have had original stories stolen and put up on Amazon. It's the reason I took down my FictionPress account and have all my original things locked on LJ / DW.
12-Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have!
ŠÆ хŠ¾Ń‡Ńƒ уŠ²ŠøŠ“ŠµŃ‚ŃŒ тŠµļæ½ļæ½Ń хрŠ°Š±Ń€Š¾Š¹ | I wanna see you be brave
怐ꎈꝃēæ»čÆ‘ć€‘Don't Flinch/ꗠꉀē•ęƒ§ | Don't Flinch.
13-Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes, several! My usual co-conspirators are azelmaroark, @kawuli, @penfoldx and @xanify
14-What's your all-time favorite ship?
96 out of my 111 fics on AO3 are gen, so that should give you my answer on that one, lol.
15-What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Never say never???? But sadly, probably the Portal/Emory's Games crossover if only because all the notes on the super complicated Arena were on a computer that died and I don't remember anything
16-What are your writing strengths?
Character and feelings, babeyyyyy. Also my hallmark is making people care (or at least think) about characters they absolutely despised before
17-What are your writing weaknesses?
Plot is hard. Every time I think I've done something complicated I'll read a book by someone with an actual intricate plot and need to lie down for 500 hours
18-Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Nah. Generally I use dialogue tags to tell the reader what language is being spoken
19-First fandom you wrote for?
Star Wars, when I was 12, though it was just me and my bff. Dragon Ball Z was the first time I actually realized fandom was a Thing
20-Favorite fic you've ever written?
I will always have a soft spot for Fixed to a Star, I think
tagging whoever wants to play -- I've been offline for a while so i don't know who's done it!

Fic authors self-rec! āœØ When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that youā€™ve written, then pass on to at least five other writers.
<3 Wow, since I've been writing fanfics for years, I have so many to choose from. But let me stick to my reader-insert-focused darker fics that I post on this account.
Tumblr media
1:
The Man Who Claimed To Be Yours ā€“ Fandom: Joker 2019, Pairing: Arthur Fleck/Joker x (Female) Reader. Explicit with lots of warnings. By far my proudest (and smuttiest?) work.
By far a number one position. Not only do you people seem to love it, I have received so many messages of readers going back to the story for the umpteenth time to reread it all. (And you have no diea how those little messages strengthened me when my health abandoned me). You devour it. And even I have been rereading my own tale several times and enjoyed it. So yes, I definitely want to write an ending to it. I also have plans to have the full story out before Joker 2 comes out.
Fun fact: The entire fic was inspired by the gif I added above)
Tumblr media
2:
Pine Cone Child ā€“ Fandom: Enola Holmes, Pairing: Enola Holmes/Linthorn (one-sided & Noncon), Enola Holmes & Sherlock Holmes. Explicit with lots of warnings.
I got a big thrill sending these chapters out into the world and found myself on a roll with this fic. The idea came with one scene, of a boy meeting his biological father, and realizing that he had a far more gritty past than he always had assumed. But to get to that chapter, I had to write many more. In the end, that chapter was never posted online. And the chapters I had finished about Enola and her mother visiting Linthornā€™s grave and the chapter that was to follow after got lost when my laptop crashed. I was also too ill and too tired to write, so it never reached its end. I am not sure if I will ever finish this one. I think, it is pretty okay as it is. Even if I never got to the ending the whole idea sprouted from in the first placed. For now, it is on hold.
3. Removed Fics/Or old account fics:
The first multi-chapter fic became a success, many years ago. I will not name the title, the quality is shite compared to what I write now (still shite, but different shite). One of the first fandoms I wrote fanfiction in was Inu Yasha. The much-explored ā€˜Inu Yasha scampers off with Kikyo and Kagome finds comfort in Sesshoumaruā€™s armsā€™ was still new, there were about 20 fics or so about this pairing in English. The encouragement I received made me want to keep posting my work. I still receive reviews for these fics. Ā
Tumblr media
4. A deleted Sweeney Todd Smut fic, featuring Sweeney Todd x Lovettā€™s daughter. I might reupload this one day, perhaps as a reader insert.
But because I want to tag a tale: Have you tried reading my dark romance (aka, Reader let yourself be kidnapped by a slasher guy)Ā  The Chance to Make A Change. Fandom: The Black Phone. Pairing: Albert Shaw ( The Grabber ) x (f) Reader. Explicit. Loads of warnings.
Tumblr media
Shared 5:
His ā€“ Fandom: Moon Knight, Pairing: Dr. Arthur Harrow x (f) Reader. Mature with warnings.
I am surprised by how much feedback and likes I received on this, even if the numbers of hits and kudos on AO3 are low. But for the short tale it is, I like it. Because it shows a budding relationship over time, cut into short chapters, and has a little evil twist at the end of it. Also, I could totally live with this happening to me, if I were the reader.
Tumblr media
Shared 5:
No Family Man ā€“ Fandom: Joker 2019, Pairing: Arthur Fleck/Joker x (afab) Reader. Mature with warnings.
Another one of my fics I love to return to, and that was generally received well. It started as two imagines which I then combined. It has lots of personal experience elements in it that to me, make it all the more special. What they are, I will leave for you to guess.
Tumblr media
I would love to finish the Princess and the Clown - Joker 2019 fanfic of Arthur Fleck/Joker x Reader I once started. Perhaps rewrite it a little. Same for my Benvolio x Mercutio Hanahaki Story (you Shakespearean lovers might know me of my many Tybalt x Mercutio and Mercutio x basically anyone fics).
I have a few Star Wars Reader Inserts that were never finished but tickle my fancy. Mostly Reader x Kylo Ren or Reader x Hux (or both lol).
Tumblr media
By far most of my proudest fanfics have been personal gifts to friends. It is how I started writing when in High School, and I still gift fics for people's birthdays. I especially like the Sherlock Holmes range I did for several friends, in which my friends always ended up being the evil masterminds who outsmarted Sherlock and Watson. But also, because I had illustrations to go along with these fics. <3
Tumblr media
But first, I need to finish a whole list of unfinished works: starting with a Crimson Peak inspired modern reader au that has been pending for over 2 years, as well as the Joker fic mentioned on number one. Then there's a summery romantic Arthur Harrow x Reader tale I want to gift to someone on here, and a Harrow Patient x Reader fic that wants to be written in between.
ARGH!
Not to mention the many Arthur Fleck x Reader prompts I have pending. I LOVE YOU, KEEP SENDING ME STUFF <3

2. What's your total AO3 word count?
84,620
3. What fandoms do you write for?
mainly the deer hunter and mean streets, but i have also written godfather fic in the past (which has since been deleted bc i didn't think it was very good lol). i've also written fic for parting glances (1986) and probably other things i can't remember but yeah.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1. don't ask me to be lonely https://archiveofourown.org/works/45806962

3. my boy https://archiveofourown.org/works/49263451
4. you're just too good to be true https://archiveofourown.org/works/46031446
5. moonlight lover https://archiveofourown.org/works/49926586
5. do you respond to comments?
usually i message the person privately bc for some reason it makes me a little anxious but sometimes i do! i love getting comments so i try to get back to everyone.
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
i think it would have to be point of no return: https://archiveofourown.org/works/45937063 bc the literal whole point is that it's a death scene of johnny.
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
i have lots of happy ending deer hunter fluff / hurt/comfort but i think the happiest one is probably my beloved strawberry https://archiveofourown.org/works/46815451 in which mike and nick get a cat<3
8. do you get hate on fics?
thankfully no, but oddly enough i have gotten hate on uquiz before and people suicide baiting me on uquiz seems like a pretty unique experience lmao so lmk if it's happened to you as well.
9. do you write smut? if so what kind?
okay so this might sound dumb but i don't know what actually qualifies as smut like are all sex scenes counted as smut? or is it like more graphic / strictly horny lmao. in any case yes i have and do write sex scenes, mainly really tender and romantic sex.
10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you have written?
i haven't personally wrote one but me and @cinehomophile had an idea for one which he is working on and we both kinda co-authored the general concept of. i shan't say more.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
no!
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
not translated but i've had many podfics made of my work by the lovely dmitri!
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
yes! i co wrote with my incredible boyfriend @ulyssesgays1995 a few times and also with @cinehomophile !!
14. what's your all time favorite ship?
this will surprise no one but it has to be mike and nick from the deer hunter. they mean so much to me.
15. what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
never say never lol. i have a few shorter wips stowed away rn but i plan to finish them i think!
16. what are your writing strengths?
i think i'm good at hurt/comfort and examining the deep pain of a character but then bringing them to a place of healing with the support of their partner.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
i can never plan out a plot ahead of time i just go in with a vague idea and see where it takes me. sometimes it works out great but i wish i could formulate my ideas more clearly sometimes bc sometimes they feel overwhelming.
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?
it's so cool! i have never personally done it but i would love to try.
19. first fandom you wrote for?
it would've been something when i was REALLY young probably like anne of green gables if i had to guess.
20. favorite fic you've written?
without a doubt, my deer hunter sex work au oh pretty baby https://archiveofourown.org/works/47108557 it holds such a special place in my heart and writing it was extremely cathartic from me. tw for sexual abuse in this fic and in my answer to this question but writing the fic was a way for me to process and emotionally externalize my own experience as a victim of sexual abuse.
on that note, thanks to anyone who has ever read my fics, in both their developmental and final stages. (like @fredoesque who i have sent many a wip to.) i love you all and i love writing. can't wait to keep posting my work!!
i tag @melis-writes @meme-streets @rosesloveletters @mr-snailman šŸ’œ no pressure if not ofc.

Here's a quandary I've suddenly found myself in: where do you stand on writers deleting their own works, fanfiction or otherwise? I've had this happen to me on more than one occasion - I go to look for an old favorite and find it's since been deleted from whatever site I read it on.
On the one hand, I'm inclined to think that, "Sure. The author wrote it, it's their call. I don't own the work - I certainly didn't pay for it. It's their decision, even if it's disappointing."
But at the same time I can't help but consider the alternative - if I believe in death of the author (and I do), that an author's work fundamentally isn't solely theirs once it's been published, posted, etc., then it also seems wrong to have a work deleted. Stories aren't the sole property of their creator, after all.
But then I circle back. D'you think there are different obligations between authors and readers and the works being made in fandom space? I know if I had bought a book and the author decided they wanted it back, I would feel pretty comfortable telling them no, given I'd paid for it and whatnot. But that's a different world from fanfic and fandom space generally.
So. You're insightful Clyde, I'm curious as to what you'll have to say here (and to all y'all thinking about it, don't flame me. I haven't decided where I stand here yet - haven't heard a good nail-in-the-coffin argument for or against yet).
Val are you a mind reader now? Iā€™ve been thinking about this exact conundrum the last few days!
(And yeah, as a general disclaimer: no flaming. Not allowed. Any asks of the sort will be deleted on sight and with great satisfaction.)
Honestly, Iā€™m not sure there is a ā€œnail-in-the-coffin argumentā€ for this, just becauseā€”as you lay outā€”there are really good points for keeping works around and really good points for allowing authors to have control over their work, especially when fanworks have no payment/legal obligations attached. In mainstream entertainment, your stories reflect a collaborative effort (publisher, editor, cover artists, etc.) so even if it were possible to delete the physical books out of everyoneā€™s home and library (and we're ignoring the censorship angle for the moment), thatā€™s no longer solely the authorā€™s call, even if they have done the lionā€™s share of the creative work. Though fanworks can also, obviously, be collaborative, theyā€™re usually not collaborative in the same way (more ā€œThis fic idea came about from discord conversations, a couple tumblr posts, and that one headcanon on redditā€) and they certainly donā€™t have the same monetary, legal, and professional strings attached. I wrote this fic as a hobby in my free time. Donā€™t I have the right to delete it like I also have the right to tear apart the blankets I knit?
Well yesā€¦ but also no? I personally view fanworks as akin to giftsā€”the academic term for our communities is literally ā€œgift economyā€ā€”so if we view it like that, suddenly that discomfort with getting rid of works is more pronounced. If I not only knit a blanket, but then gift it to a friend, it would indeed feel outside of my rights to randomly knock on their door one day and go, ā€œI actually decided I hate that? Please give it back so I can tear it to shreds, thanks :)ā€ Thatā€™s so rude! And any real friend would try to talk me out of it, explaining both why they love the blanket and, even if itā€™s not technically the best in terms of craftsmanship, it holds significant emotional value to them. Save it for that reason alone, at least. Fanworks carry that same meaningā€”ā€œI donā€™t care if itā€™s full of typos, super clichĆ©, and using some outdated, uncomfortable tropes. This story meant so much to me as a teenager and Iā€™ll always love itā€ā€”but the difference in medium and relationships means itā€™s easier to ignore all that. Iā€™m not going up to someoneā€™s house and asking face-to-face to destroy something I gave them (which is awkward as hell. That alone deters us), Iā€™m just pressing a button on my computer. Iā€™m not asking this of a personal friend that is involved in my IRL experiences, Iā€™m (mostly) doing this to online peers I know little, if anything, about. Itā€™s easy to distance ourselves from both the impact of our creative work and the act of getting rid of it while online. On the flip-side though, itā€™s also easier to demean that work and forget that the author is a real person who put a lot of effort into this creation. If someone didnā€™t like my knitted blanket I gave them as a gift, theyā€™re unlikely to tell me that. They recognize that itā€™s impolite and that the act of creating something for them is more important than the constructionā€™s craftsmanship. For fanworks though, with everyone spread around the world and using made up identities, people have fewer filters, happily tearing authors to shreds in the comments, sending anon hate, and the like. The fact that weā€™re both prefacing this conversation with, ā€œPlease donā€™t flameā€ emphasizes that. So if I wrote a fic with some iffy tropes, ā€œcringyā€ dialogue, numerous typos, whatever and enough people decided to drag me for itā€¦ I donā€™t know whether Iā€™d resist the urge to just delete the fic, hopefully ending those interactions. Thereā€™s a reason why weā€™re constantly reminding others to express when they enjoy someone elseā€™s work: the ratio of praise to criticism in fandom (or simply praise to seeming indifference because there was no public reaction at all), is horribly skewed.
So I personally canā€™t blame anyone for deleting. Iā€™d like to hope that more people realize the importance of keeping fanworks around, that everything you put out there is loved by someoneā€¦ but Iā€™m well aware that the reality is far more complicated. Itā€™s hard to keep that in mind. Itā€™s hard to keep something around that you personally no longer like. Harder still to keep up a work you might be harassed over, that someone IRL discovered, that youā€™re disgusted with because you didnā€™t know better back thenā€¦ there are lots of reasons why people delete and I ultimately canā€™t fault them for that. I think the reasons why people delete stem more from problems in fandom culture at largeā€”trolling, legal issues, lack of positive feedback, cancel culture, etc.ā€”than anything the author has or has not personally done, and since such work is meant to be a part of an enjoyable hobbyā€¦ I canā€™t rightly tell anyone to shoulder those problems, problems they canā€™t solve themselves, just for the sake of mine or othersā€™ enjoyment. The reason Iā€™ve been thinking about this lately is because I was discussing Attack on Titan and how much I dislike the source material now, resulting in a very uncomfortable relationship with the fics I wrote a few years back. Iā€™ve personally decided to keep them up and thatā€™s largely because some have received fantastic feedback and Iā€™m aware of how it will hurt those still in the fandom if I take them down. So if a positive experience is the cornerstone of me keeping fics up, I can only assume that negative experiences would likewise been the cornerstone of taking them down. And if getting rid of that fic helps your mental health, or solves a bullying problem, or just makes you happierā€¦ that, to me, is always more important than the fic itself.
But, of course, itā€™s still devastating for everyone who loses the work, which is why my compromise-y answer is to embrace options like AO3ā€™s phenomenal orphaning policy. Thatā€™s a fantastic middle ground between saving fanworks and allowing authors to distances themselves from them. Iā€™ve also gotten a lot more proactive about saving the works I want to have around in the future. Regardless of whether we agree with deleting works or not, the reality is we do live in a world where it happens, so best to take action on our own to save what we want to keep around. Though I respect an authorā€™s right to delete, I also respect the readerā€™s right to maintain access to the work, once published, in whatever way they can. That's probably my real answer here: authors have their rights, but readers have their rights too, so if you decide to publish in the first place, be aware that these rights might, at some point, clash. I download all my favorite fics to Calibre and, when Iā€™m earning more money (lol) I hope to print and bind many for my personal library. Iā€™m also willing to re-share fic if others are looking for them, in order to celebrate the authorā€™s work even if they no longer want anything to do with it. Not fanfiction in this case, but one of my fondest memories was being really into Phantom of the Opera as a kid and wanting, oh so desperately, to read Susan Kayā€™s Phantom. Problem was, it was out of print at the time, not available at my library, and this was before the age of popping online and finding a used copy. For all intents and purposes, based on my personal situation, this was a case of a book just disappearing from the world. So when an old fandom mom on the message boards I frequented offered to type her copy up chapter by chapter and share it with me, you can only imagine how overjoyed I was. Idk what her own situation was that something like scanning wouldnā€™t work, but the point is she spent months helping a fandom kid she barely knew simply because a story had resonated with her and she wanted to share it. That shit is powerful!
So if someone wants to deleteā€”if thatā€™s something they need right nowā€”I believe that is, ultimately, their decisionā€¦ but please try your hardest to remember that the art you put out into the world is having an impact and people will absolutely miss it when itā€™s gone. Often to the point of doing everything they can to put it back out into the world even if you decide to take it out. Hold onto that feeling. The love you have for your favorite fic, fanart, meta, whatever it is? Someone else has that for your work too. I guarantee it.
So take things down as needed, but for the love of everything keep copies for yourself. You may very well want to give it back to the world someday.

Meet the Author: Jayismz
Tumblr media
Hi, J / Jayismz!
Stories can be found here.
Twitter.
Wattpad.Ā
__________
When did you start writing Olitz? I started writing Olitz a year ago around December 2019.Ā
Tell us about yourself! What do you want readers to know about you? I want the readers to know that Iā€™m a pretty humble, easy going guy who loves writing & wants to one day make a career out of it. Itā€™s become a passion of mine. I dislike unnecessary drama & disrespect, & Iā€™m obsessed with fruit snacks. Iā€™m also very easy to talk to, so donā€™t hesitate to reach out.Ā
What drew you to Olivia and Fitz? It wasnā€™t the immediate connection for me. It was the drama between them that pushed & pulled them apart. To see them triumph over all the darkness to show each other a love they never experienced was beautiful.
What made you want to write about them? Honestly? I didnā€™t plan on writing them but my girl Muses pushed me to do so and I donā€™t regret it. I love being able to bend and shape them how I please. In ways that the show didnā€™t.
How would you describe your writing? Drama, Romance, Action, Adventure. Angst as well, depending on the storyline. Itā€™s easy to follow, too. Some points are a bit more subtle but if you read for the sake of the story & not just for olitz smut/fluff then youā€™ll get the fully painted picture.Ā
What inspires you to write / create? Honestly? Thatā€™s a difficult question. Sometimes watching certain episodes of the show will give me an idea/inspire me. Other times, itā€™ll be late night inspiration, when Iā€™m supposed to be asleep or life in general. My mind never stops creating, but every idea that I have doesnā€™t make the site. Also music. Thatā€™s heavy inspiration, too.Ā
Favorite movies, shows, music?
Favorite movies? 1. Dawn of the Dead. 2. The Halloween film series minus one. 3. Jenniferā€™s Body. 4. The Incredibles film series. 5. The Friday the 13th film series. 6. Insidious 1-2. 7. The Avengers / X-men film series. Even the bad X-men films give me something. 8. Call Me By Your Name. 9. 4th Man Out. 10. Mulligans.Ā
Favorite shows? 1. The 100. 2. The Witcher. 3. American Dad. 4. Scandal. 5. Kingdom.Ā
Music? Alternative, pop, electronic, hip hop and r&b, soundtrack, dance, rap, light rock. A little bit of everything.
How long does it take you to write a chapter? I used to be on a once a week schedule but that doesnā€™t give people time to miss a story and digest the current chapter(s). So, now I wait until Iā€™m ready. Sometimes it takes a week to write, other times itā€™ll take longer. Depending on how tired, busy and inspired I am. Time limits stress me out.Ā
Did the showā€™s themes and plots encourage you or discourage you from writing? The themes I looked for always inspired me.Ā
Writing AU or Canon? AU.
Reading AU or Canon: some canon is really good, but mostly AU.
________
A favorite line, scene, or paragraph youā€™ve written.
Though there are many moments I love from all of my stories. The speech Ryan gave to Olivia in Herstory is one of my favorites.Ā
Ryan: "Option three, we let them bicker and whine and panic because it's you who calls the shots. You are the leader of the free world. You make the tough decisions that mold and shape the world. You break down the barriers of what it means to be president." He slowly strides around the office.
"You're not like the countless men who came into this office and paraded their power as if they were some Gods here to bless us with great fortune and progress only to leave us with broken promises and lies. No, you are Olivia fucking Pope. You are light and you... have more guts than any man I know." Words unwavering, filled with fire.
"Babying everyone with an opinion is not how I see you running this White House. Your White House. So, what's it going to be?"
Reason being is because he sees her for the woman she is here. Thereā€™s no underestimation or denial of her skills. Just pure, unadulterated passion and the will to stand by her side knowing that sheā€™s going to make history.
________
Fave Olitz moments? The season 7 conversation when he asked her if he crossed the line. The trail, of course. The lawn kiss in season 6. And also the deleted scene from season 6 where she was leaving the residence and they talked about him having two weeks. OH! And the dug the phone out of the trash moment.
Fave Olitz fanfic moments? I read too much to remember all of them, omg. Donā€™t hate me yā€™all šŸ˜. But everyone I follow in the site gives me some of the best moments and they inspire me to write in all honesty.
________
Do you like it when readers engage with you via comments / social media? Of course! It helps.Ā
Story Reviews: Love them, hate them? Iā€™m indifferent about them. Sometimes theyā€™re so negative but other times, theyā€™re goodā€” constructive even. I read them once every so often before expressing how grateful I am to have people still enjoying my works. Negative ones get deleted without a thought.Ā
What advice would you give to a new Olitz writer? Just write! Perfection should only matter to you and you only. If itā€™s perfect to you then Iā€™d say youā€™ve done a good job. Also, write the story that you want to tell. People tend to scream that somethingā€™s not good if the idea they had in their mind doesnā€™t happen. Stay true to yourself and never let anything dictate the words you write.Ā
Outside of your fics, do you have any fave Olitz stories or authors? Anything by Musesoftheminds, labellebeaucoup, sweetness04fj, anonolitz, glamour02, loveoverpride, annnnd Keke thegoddess.Ā
Do you talk to other Olitz authors? If so, do you like the camaraderie? I talk to a good 4 of them. Muses I talk to almost everyday off Twitter, of course, but the other three Iā€™ll reach out and check in or they will. I do like itā€” the camaraderie. It makes me feel wanted here which means a lot.Ā
Have you made friends (people you talk to outside of fanfic) because of Olitz / Scandal fanfic? I have, yes.
Before you go, anything else youā€™d like to share?
Yes. To those that read my stories and newcomers. Iā€™m glad you enjoy my work and Iā€™m happy to continue writing for you all. I know it was a big change with me adding new characters and turning the tides a bit but the reception to them has been so heartwarming.Ā Ā
Iā€™m happy Ryan has been received well in the fics. Heā€™s an extension of me if I were to put myself in those settings. I used to be so afraid to admit that but itā€™s nothing to be ashamed about. Adding myself or a fraction of myself in some way pushed me to continue with writing these stories. Itā€™s like I become one with the character thing. Plus, it makes for good dynamics.Ā
As far as other characters, I tend to use people I know as blueprints as well as other celebrities. For example, Rose / Viper is based on my girl Musesoftheminds if she were in those settings. In When It All Falls & its sequel, Danny is portrayed by actor Marcus Rosner. In Hunted, Walker is portrayed by Charles Melton & Mike is portrayed by Trevante Rhodes. In Herstory, August is portrayed by Henry Cavill and Roseā€™s husband is portrayed by Jason Mamoa. She picked him herself, LOL.Ā
And if anyone wants to be in a story of mine, let me know! If it works with the story, we can make it happen now that you know my process.Ā
Lastly, I want to thank the community for being so open and accepting of me and my ideas. I was afraid that me being an openly gay man and incorporating every facet of that from presentation to relationships to sex wouldā€™ve pushed people away, but youā€™re still here and it means the world to me. And to the writers I speak to personally, thank you for always having my back and for encouraging me to continue. Youā€™ve been nothing but kind & I love you.Ā
Thank you to DouxBebeArchive for this writerā€™s spotlight, for always being kind enough to share my works and for being a kind soul.Ā
xoxo, J

Author Asks
Decided to go ahead and answer these for anyone who might be interested.
1.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Describe your comfort zoneā€”a typical ā€œyouā€ fic.
Domestic fluff, modern or school AU, with a sprinkling of angst. Iā€™m really trying to work outside of my comfort zone, but I donā€™t really like too many crazy AUs.
2.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Is there a trope youā€™ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
I really want to do enemies-to-lovers, but itā€™s so hard to pull off convincingly and Iā€™m afraid Iā€™m going to mess it up.
3.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Is there a trope you wouldnā€™t touch with a ten-foot pole?
MPREGā€¦justā€¦no. Also, most dub-con.
4.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
Iā€™m currently working on a rewrite of one of my first fics ā€œThe Insomnian Academy for the Elite.ā€ Itā€™s called ā€œStand by Youā€ in the new version! Thatā€™s it right now other than brainstorming for the Promptis Big Bang and trying to finish WDES Verse 2.
5.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Share one of your strengths.
In writing? I think I do fun and convincing dialogue.
6.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Share one of your weaknesses.
Iā€™d say I spend more time writing dialogue than descriptions. I also sometimes have issues with pacing.
7.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose youā€™ve written and explain why youā€™re proud of it.Ā
Chapter 10 ofĀ ā€œWrite Drunk, Email Sober.ā€ I feel like I nailed everything about that chapter, from the emotion, to the dialogue...itā€™s my favorite thing Iā€™ve written.
In that moment, something clicks into place for Prompto, like being shifted from the shallow to the deep end of a pool. He realizes there is much more to Ignis Scientia than just his ease on the eyes, and Prompto knows that he wants to dive even further into his depths. Ā
Promptoā€™s smile comes naturally, full and delighted. Ignis mirrors it with his own.
ā€œBoyfriend to Professor Scientia has a nice ring to it,ā€ Prompto agrees. Ignis touches their noses, rubbing them together briefly before bestowing a kiss on the blondā€™s lips. They sink back into the bed and downwards, and Prompto is amazed to discover you can be lost and simultaneously found.
8.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes youā€™ve written and explain why youā€™re proud of it.Ā
Most ofĀ ā€œRain or Shine and Everything In-Between,ā€ because I felt like the dialogue was natural and fun, but also very true to life. My favorite scene is what I think is the most hard hitting of the entire fic:Ā
ā€œTell me whatā€™s the matter,ā€ Ignis said as soon as the man had left the room, and Noctis made a show of studying the tips of his naga-skin boots, putting more weight on his good ankle. ā€œNoctis?ā€
ā€œI canā€™t do this, Ignis.ā€
ā€œItā€™s only a tie, Noctā€”ā€
ā€œNo, this.ā€ Noctis waved his hands at the whole room, and although it wouldnā€™t have been clear to anyone else, Ignis knew what he meant.
The princeā€™s advisor felt his heart skip a beat as he studied Noctis in the mirror, their eyes finally meeting as the princeā€™s chin jutted forward, stubborn, yet beautiful.
ā€œWhat are you saying?ā€ Ignis asked, pragmatic and cautious.
ā€œI canā€™t do this, Iggy!ā€ Noctisā€™s voice rose, skipping off the marble floors. ā€œI wonā€™t! Iā€™m going to tell my father everything. Iā€™m fucking gay for Bahamutā€™s sake, how I am supposed to make an heir, let alone have sex with my wifeā€”ā€
ā€œShh,ā€ Ignis implored, coming forward to squeeze Noctisā€™s shoulders in warning. ā€œShh,ā€ he said a little more quietly, bringing his head to rest against Noctisā€™s cheek.
ā€œI canā€™tā€”I canā€™t. Please, donā€™t make me do this!ā€ Noctisā€™s heart was breaking, and Ignisā€™s was breaking along with it, and all this was so much more than choosing a stupid tie.
9.Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Which fic has been the hardest to write?
Iā€™d say, ā€œDaemons that Live in the Dark.ā€ It was the heaviest content-wise. I had to take a lot of breaks to mentally and emotionally recharge between chapters, and the ending gave me the most trouble.
10.Ā Ā  Which fic has bee the easiest to write?
ā€œWrite Drunk, Email Sober.ā€ It was so fun to write, and I didnā€™t stop writing it from start to finish. It felt easy!
11.Ā Ā  Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?
Iā€™d say a bit of both. I wanted to be a writer since I was in middle school, and even aspired to be an author at one point. I didnā€™t rediscover it until last year when surgery made me unable to be active and I needed something to do to manage my mental health.
12.Ā Ā  Whatā€™s the best writing advice youā€™ve ever come across?
When you get stuck, donā€™t be afraid to skip ahead and write scenes out of order. For me, this is especially helpful because I get certain scenes in my head that I want to jot down, but sometimes have trouble leading up to them.
13.Ā Ā  Whatā€™s the worst writing advice youā€™ve ever come across?
Not advice, exactly, but the idea that more kudos/hits/comments on a certain fic on AO3 = good/better. There have been popular fics that I have hated, and other ones with fewer kudos, etc. that I have absolutely loved. Everything is going to hit different from person to person, so you need to be true to you and what you like and not compare yourself to everyone else.
14.Ā Ā  If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
ā€œWrite Drunk, Email Soberā€ for sure. It would be hilarious to watch.
15.Ā Ā  If you only could write on pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be?
Does OT4 count as a pairing? Because I vote that.
16.Ā Ā  Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
Typically from start to finish unless Iā€™m have a particular scene in mind that I need to get out, or if Iā€™m having trouble writing a scene I might skip ahead and go back later.
17.Ā Ā  Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines?
Noā€¦I probably should. I use prompts a lot though, and music for inspiration.
18.Ā Ā  Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in a basement. Do you have a muse?
Yesā€”my wife.
19.Ā Ā  Describe your perfect writing conditions.
Rainy day in a coffee shop, big latte, and spotify playlist on in the background.
20.Ā Ā  How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting.
I read through it once myself, let my wife read it and make edits, and then read it again. After posting Iā€™ll read it a third time and usually still catch any errors I missed.
21.Ā Ā  Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style.
Iā€™m currently doing this with my fic, ā€œStand by You.ā€
22.Ā Ā  If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
ā€œStand by Youā€ and ā€œDawn of the Godslinger,ā€ mostly because I loved the concepts, but I feel like my writing has improved dramatically since I first wrote them and theyā€™re in desperate need of updating.
23.Ā Ā  Have you ever deleted on of your published fics?
Yes, a few of my earlier ones. The writing and characterization was cringey.
24.Ā Ā  What do you look for in a beta?
My wife has an MFA and is an editor so Iā€™m lucky to have her as my beta.
25.Ā Ā  Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?
Yes! You have to edit your own workā€¦I look for typos/grammar errors and characterization mostly.
26.Ā Ā  How do you feel about collaborations?
With the right people they are a ton of fun! But if you have a bad partner they can be miserable. Overall, I really enjoy them.
27.Ā Ā  Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.
Crazyloststar ā€“ mostly because she and I have very similar writing styles and she has GREAT characterization and very fun ideas. Definitely look up to her!
Carolyncaves ā€“ because they wrote one of my favorite fanfics ever, ā€œSomething Just Like This,ā€ which is a great example of an ace person in a relationship and makes me think of my wife.
HigharollaKockamamie ā€“ because they wrote one of my other favorite fanfics, ā€œThe Temptation of Saint Anthony, but with This Guy,ā€ which is the only fic that has ever made me like Ardyn.
28.Ā Ā  If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
Oh man...probably something by @crazyloststar
29.Ā Ā  Do you accept prompts?
Yes! I love them šŸ˜Š
30.Ā Ā  Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?
I like to keep characterā€™s personalities as canon as possible, but other than that itā€™s fair game. My number one pet peeve when reading fanfic is when authors donā€™t get the characterization right.
31.Ā Ā  How do you feel about smut?
I enjoy it if Iā€™m in the mood to read it, but Iā€™m not a huge fan of writing it. Iā€™d rather focus on the emotions behind character relationships rather than the physical aspects.
32.Ā Ā  How do you feel about crack?
Iā€™m not a huge fan of crack fics, reading or writing them.
33.Ā Ā  What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con?
IF and only if it is woven into a story artfully, I can tolerate it. I do not like fics that focus specifically on non-con or dub-con as being sexy or attractive, and I refuse to write those kinds of fics. With that said, one of my fics does revolve around the idea that the antagonist rapes the main character, but it is not glorified in any way.
34.Ā Ā  Would you ever kill off a canon character?
If it furthered the plot and I was going for angst, sure.
35.Ā Ā  Which is your favorite site to post fic?
Ao3
36.Ā Ā  Talk about your current wips. Ā  Ā
Currently Iā€™m working on ā€œStand by You,ā€ my Promptis HS AU rewrite, and gearing up for the Promptis Big Bang. I also still have to finish WDES Verse 2.
37.Ā Ā  Talk about a review that made your day.
Pretty much any of the comments on WDESā€¦any comment, really.
38.Ā Ā  Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
Iā€™ve gotten a handful. I typically delete them and move on. Otherwise, I respond to all comments.

Tagged byĀ @trichoglossus, thanks Kes!!
Author Name:Ā TheImaginativeFox (Elizabeth!)
Fandom You Write For: Young Justice (mostly birdflash) and Batman (batfamily)
Where You Post: AO3 and tumblr
Most Popular One-Shot: On AO3 itā€™s Overtime,Ā but on tumblr itā€™s of happiness and guilt
Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story:Ā Iā€™ve deleted pretty much all of the multi-chapter fics I wrote, so that means hold me (iā€™m falling apart) wins by default
Favorite Story You Wrote: maybeĀ Family DinnersĀ
Story You Were Nervous to Post: A lot of my fics have made me nervous to post, but the most recent one was the times they are a-changinā€™. I wrote it as a gift for Kes, and I was nervous because I wasnā€™t sure if he would like it or notĀ šŸ˜…
How Do You Choose Your Titles:Ā I usually try to pick something that goes with the theme of what Iā€™m writing, and I really like it when I can get a line from the fic in there. I end up using a lot of song lyrics, though
How Many Stories of Yours Are:
Complete:Ā 27
In progress:Ā 0 posted in-progress fics, but I have a lotĀ of in-progress unposted fics (at least 15)Ā
Unfinished/abandoned: 0 for posted stories, but if series count, then 2:Ā Dick Grayson EDS AUĀ (somewhere between unfinished and abandoned) andĀ bad things happen to the people you loveĀ (currently unfinished but Iā€™m thinking about abandoning it). I started the latter for whumptober and I havenā€™t decided whether or not I want to finish it. Would anyone still be interested in that series? Or either of them, really.
Coming Soon:Ā As I mentioned, Iā€™m working on a lot of fics, but here are 5:Ā
a season 3 YJ fic (during the X-pit recovery)
a Wally comes back YJ fic (multi-chapter, between seasons 2 and 3)
a Dr. Hurt aftermath fic (from the end of Dickā€™s batman run)
a fic about Bruce first taking in Dick and how it was supposed to be a temporary situation (at first)
and lastly, a fic that I have temporarily titledĀ ā€œBruce is depressed and Dick keeps him companyā€
Upcoming Story Youā€™re Most Excited to Write:Ā Thatā€™s a very difficult question, but one that I havenā€™t started but am excited to start involves Dick being exposed to a plague-like illness and he has to be kept in isolation until they can figure it out (lots of whump, lots of angst)
Do You Accept Prompts? Yes! Iā€™m always taking prompts for drabbles, Iā€™m just not always actively filling them. I mostly receive prompts from lists Iā€™ve reblogged, but Iā€™ll also take ones you write yourself (as vague or specific as you like)!
Tag Five Fanfic Authors:Ā @atqh16, @novaviis, @caramelmachete, @renecdote,Ā @gtgrandom, and anyone else who wants to do it!

Fanfic author ask meme
1. What was your first fic and could you stand to reread it today?
oh noooo, that was way back in middle school haha, it was for OHSHC and the last time I tried to reread it I couldnā€™t make it halfway through the first chapter
2. Whatā€™s your most recent fic and how far do you think youā€™ve come?
garlic cloves is the most recent and still in progress, and compared to the fic I just mentioned, itā€™s been about 10 years so weā€™ve come a long way (luckily)
in terms of just creating a compelling plot, fleshed out characterization, realistic dialogue....itā€™s all been a proud uphill climb
13. Whatā€™s the biggest change between your style when you started in fandom and today?
when I first started, I would definitely latch onto the most popular content creators and take their word as gospel, as in things that were just popular headcanons I would uphold as canon and have it inform everything I created
now, I kind of just prefer interacting with the people whoā€™s content I enjoy and who I like talking to, and while some popular fanon has definitely informed my work, I also know that I like what I like and Iā€™ll create based on that haha
18. Whatā€™s your most underrated fic?
oh I hope this doesnā€™t sound ungrateful, because Iā€™m really just posting what I want and happy for any attention it receives, but in recent memory, probably lucky kid or whatā€™s your damage
I liked the subtlety of lucky kid, as well as getting a chance to portray a romance that starts at a slightly older age, and whatā€™s your damage was fun because it was darker than my usual fare, but I donā€™t think either really caught on haha
20. Have/Would you ever rewrite a fic? If yes, would you take the original down?
hmmmm, I donā€™t know if I would rewrite something to that extent, no, although I did just look back at my Ao3 and remember a little less sixteen candles, which would be the most tempting to take another crack at
if I did, I think Iā€™d keep the original up! partly for vain reasons, because I would hate to delete nice comments haha, but also as a nice comparison for myself and others to see how far Iā€™ve come, or in case the new one isnā€™t someoneā€™s cup of tea and they prefer the old
21. If someone starts kudosing and commenting your fics in a spree and has a few works of their own, would you go look through theirs?
I do! Iā€™ve fallen behind on my fic reading for the lona fandom, so I want to go on a reading and commenting spree soon for all the works Iā€™ve missed, but generally I always try and read at least one fic of anyone whoā€™s interacted with my stuff
22. Has there ever been anyone whoā€™s made you freak out because they read your work and followed/favorited/reviewed?
lmao jane youā€™re literally one of them
when I was first getting into the lona fandom and there were a couple people whoā€™s work I was lurking on and fangirling over, and then they interacted with my fics and I flipped my lid because I was nervous that they were seeing my stuff but also so excited that this is such a positive little fandom we have
23. Whatā€™s the nicest review youā€™ve ever gotten?
no specific ones spring to mind, but honestly just seeing the same people leaving reviews either on different chapters or different fics and just knowing that theyā€™re still reading my stuff is such high praise
26. What aspect of your writing do you most enjoy to see praised?
if I can get a specific line to stick with someone I get real giddy
also when my humor sticks the landing is such a relief to hear, Iā€™m someone who likes being the funny friend and itā€™s also a real crapshoot as to whether Iā€™ve just built up a line of dialogue or physical gag to be funny to myself while writing or if itā€™s actually still funny when I post

fanfic end of the year asks: 12, 15, 24 and 27
from this meme
12.Ā favorite character to write about this year
I very much enjoyed writing from Oliverā€™s POV this year for both Andante and the latest chapter of Finale. As developed in this fic series, the character was probably more romantic than Iā€™d initially planned him to be. Definitely as thoughtful but perhaps more deliberately blind as well. I enjoyed imagining how he saw Elio, how beautiful he thinks he is without actually saying those words.
His long, aristocratic nose. Lips, full at the bottom and curling with expressiveness on top; two stories happening at once. Eyes, mostly-green (this was something you used to say to him: other colors, yesā€”but mostly green) with a slim ring of brown flaring around the pupil, bits of gray on the edges. How they always look a little sad no matter how hard you make him laugh. Jaw, sharp. Freckles. Everywhere. Scars. Birthmarks. Long fingers. Long toes. Long legs. Long torso. Slim, hairless thighs. The skin there cool and smooth. The way his mouth always hung open a little, and you had to stop yourself from putting yourself in there, in every possible way.
15.Ā something you learned this year
That I am very lucky to have so many wonderful writer friends who have provided an incredible amount of support. It was a difficult year from, had some medical stuff go down that threw me for a loop and people were so kind to me while I wrote my way through it, if that makes any sense.
Huge shout-out to @cheshirecatstrut who had to read so much garbage not in her fandom and helped me more than words can say.
24.Ā favorite fic you read this year
I read so many great fics this year, I could never have just one. @bartbarthelme recommended a Teen Wolf fic called No Homo that made me laugh for an entire day. Definitely a fave now.
He just about closes the browser window, but ends up clicking on the personals section for shits and gigs.
Itā€™s something he does occasionally. Usually, itā€™s thirsty gay dudes looking for a dick to hop on, and sometimes he gets a laugh from the wording, and sometimes itā€™s weird fetishy shit, and a lot of dick pics. Itā€™s entertainment enough when heā€™s gotten bored of trawling through reddit.
Tonight is the usual, someone looking for a blowie, someone looking for a ā€œspicy latina to macarenaā€, whatever that means, heā€™s no expert but that sounds a little racist. But heā€™s sitting there and he gets a really fucking weird idea that might be the most brilliant thing heā€™s ever thought of.
What if he put up an ad for a friend? A test friend. And heā€™s pretty sure he knows the ultimate friendship test.
He does it before he can worry about it, puts it up and sits back to admire his genius.
str8 dude - m4m - strictly platonic
str8 dude looking for another str8 dude to JO with. i can host. no pics. i donā€™t give a fuck what u look like and u shouldnā€™t care what i look like either. STR8 PLS. do not want gay hookup. no weird touching. just 2 dudes jerking it. thx
Itā€™s brilliant, is what it is.
The author orphaned the work rather than deleting and for that, we owe them an enormous thank you. Thank you, anon writer, for not deleting your work unlike some monsters I wonā€™t mention. :cough: bart :cough:
27.Ā favorite fanfic author of the year
I have way more than one. Because I just finished shaming her for breaking my heart into a thousand pieces by deleting her work over and over again, Iā€™ll say it was a pleasure discovering the work of @bartbarthelme. Economical, funny, sexy--Bartie packs a lot of feeling into short blasts of writing, particularly when it settles into her sweet spot: the unusual, near-exotic joys of day-to-day domesticity.
thank you for the asks, @robazizo!

Thanks to the lovely @aubzylynn for taking the time to answer these! Get to know more about lovely Aubrey, go give her a follow and then show her some love!
These questions are from this list. You should check it out, thereā€™s 50 questions all together and theyā€™d be great to ask your favorite fic writer!
1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?
I think I was 12. My best friend at the time and I wrote Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfic. We also put ourselves into the stories as OCs. I also wrote for Full Metal Alchemist, InuYasha, I also had my own HP fics, and I think I even had an Eregon oneshot at some point when I started lol. Iā€™m confident thereā€™s more, but itā€™s been such a long time.
2) Do you prefer writing OCā€™s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.
I actually really enjoy both. Like, with reader inserts, I can inject a lot of my (or my friends) quirks and fears and insecurities into the reader and get messages back from readers saying that they really connected with the story or the reader. And OCā€™s are always fun because they have their own personality and itā€™s fun for me to figure out who they are.
3) What is your favorite genre to write for?
Fluffffffff. Yall know I canā€™t write a story without a happy ending.
4) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?
Surprisingly, I donā€™t think I have one. Theyā€™re all fine. I wish I had time to go through and kind of update a few of them, but thereā€™s not really any that Iā€™m super embarrassed by.
5) When is your preferred time to write?
First thing in the morning. Right after I wake up. It doesnā€™t happen very often, but itā€™s easiest then. Iā€™m not bogged down by my jobs or my brain. Itā€™s easiest to get into a good headspace.
6) Where do you take your inspiration from?
Usually from Sarah or other friendsā€“the stories they tell, the things I read or see.
7) Whatā€™s your favorite scene that youā€™ve written?
Hmm..thereā€™s a scene in my 40ā€™s series that Iā€™m pretty proud of. The reader, Bucky, and Steve are all reunited at long last and itā€™s really sweet and I dunno I really just love it.
But, if weā€™re going off of fics that Iā€™ve postedā€¦this is probably going to sound so bad, but the Kennedy assassination in Control was interesting to write. I actually watched old news footage of it. The chaos, the panic, the craziness, and then having her reunite with the Soldier and thereā€™s a little spark is just ugh. Itā€™s one of my favorites.
8) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms youā€™ve received after posting it?
Not yet. Luckily, my followers and readers have been incredibly kind. Iā€™ve never really had any hate or criticism for my stories.
9) Who is your favorite character to write for? Why?
This should be easy to tell, but itā€™s Bucky. Lol Heā€™s got such an interesting depth and so many layers and I know I always write him so soft and loving but I also love to read fics where heā€™s the Soldier and the ones that explore the different sides of him. Someday I want to write those different shades of Bucky.
10) Who is your least favorite character to write for? Why?
I donā€™t have a whole lot of experience writing a lot of the characters, so I canā€™t really pick one. It feels unfair. I would like to write more for other characters to be a stronger author and to have some variety.
11) How do you come up with the titles for your stories?
Iā€™m so unoriginal when it comes to titles, tbh. Like, my most creative one was Nomonakalo and thatā€™s literally because I was looking for ā€œapocalypseā€ in Xhosa. But I didnā€™t like any of the translations for ā€œapocalypseā€ so I looked up synonyms until I landed on ā€œdevastation,ā€ and here we are. The others, are song titles, like Control. And some are a word or two about the story, like Midnight Snack, or Partner.
12) What do you think is the best idea youā€™ve had for a story so far?
Nomonakalo is the best idea Iā€™ve ever had. I hope to continue it someday even though it didnā€™t get a lot of love. I also have a Princess Bride au on ice in the back of my brain that Iā€™m pretty sure is gonna be fantastic.
13) Do you have any abandoned WIPā€™s? What made you abandon them?
Oh god so many. My poor babies. Iā€™m not inspired by the request or theyā€™ve gotten to be too big for me to handle.
14) Are there any stories that youā€™ve written that youā€™d really love to do a sequel to?
Maybe Partner or Blind Date. Or even a sequel to Cuddle Drabbles, but the focus would be on Steve instead. Iā€™ve been playing with the ideas of a Steve Cuddle Drabbles for a really long time.
15) Are there any stories that you wished youā€™d ended differently?
Road to Schkeuditz. I hated that it ended so angsty. I wanted to do more, but I didnā€™t know the timeline and when Bucky would wake up. But I think I might write a little something someday about the reader visiting him in Wakanda after heā€™s healed.
16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
I have so, so many, but Iā€™m gonna do the first three that came to mind.
I admire @sarahwroteathing. I know sheā€™s my best friend, but guys. G u y s. Sarahā€™s so talented. I admire her work ethic and how hard she works on her stories. Soundtrack has been giving her grief for over a year, and sheā€™s still working on it. Itā€™s still one of the best stories Iā€™ve ever read and it amazes me how much care she puts into her writing.
@soldatbarnes is also another great friend and amazing author. I also love how she perseveres through her tough times. She amazes me. Iā€™ll see her posts about not being inspired to write, or wishing she had more time to do so, and then sheā€™ll come out with an amazing story thatā€™s beautifully written. Sheā€™s incredible.
@bitsandbobsandstuff is fucking phenomenal. I love her writing. Itā€™s so in depth and wonderfully crafted. I aspire to be as amazing as she is.
17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?
Iā€™m probably gonna get hate for this, but i canā€™t reread the Cuddle Drabbles. Itā€™s my first time writing and posting for the MCU and I can tell. Itā€™s cringey to me. But I get such sweet messages about it every now and again, and I canā€™t bring myself to change it.
18) Do you prefer listening to music when youā€™re writing or do you need silence?
I do it both ways. Sometimes a focus playlist is needed and other times my brain canā€™t think if thereā€™s any noise. Just depends on what it is.
19) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?
Yep. Chin Up, Princess made me cry. It was what I needed someone to say to me, and having it come from Tony just made me more emotional than I had anticipated.
20) Which part of your fics have been the hardest to write?
I overthink action scenes. I struggle with thinking it sounds forced or unorganic, sometimes.
21) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?
Umm both. I make an outline just to know where Iā€™m going, but sometimes it diverges because itā€™ll flow a different way while Iā€™m writing it.
22) What is something you wished youā€™d known before you started posting fan-fiction?
How addicting the praise can be, and sometimes it doesnā€™t seem like enough. I love getting sweet messages more than I could ever attempt to tell you.
23) Do you have a story that you feel doesnā€™t get as much love as youā€™d like?
Yes. Nomonakalooooooooo. My poor baby. I worked the hardest on it and it has the least amount of notes of any of my fics.
24) In contrast to 23 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?
No, not really. Sometimes, Iā€™ll see someone start the Cuddle Drabbles or Road to Schkeuditz and Iā€™ll think ā€œoh here we go, theyā€™re gonna flood my notifications with likesā€ but I mean thatā€™s the most that happens lol
25) Are any of your characters based on real people?
Um, a few. But, itā€™s pretty minor. The reader in A December Deception has some of Sarahā€™s mannerisms, and Morgan in Handsome Stranger is basically my friend Morgan. I have an OC in my 40ā€™s series based on my friend Cassidy, and the readerā€™s best friend in a wedding fic is essentially Sarah. (I mean, sheā€™s marrying Steve. How could I not make her the bride? Lol)
26) Whatā€™s the biggest compliment youā€™ve gotten?
Sarah called Nomonakalo ā€œemotionally excellentā€ and I still havenā€™t recovered from it. She sent me an email responding to everything. It was practically an essay. I still reread it when I feel like quitting.
27) Whatā€™s the harshest criticism youā€™ve gotten?
ā€œThe reader says ā€˜dudeā€™ too much,ā€ and ā€œfocus more on Buckyā€™s feelings.ā€ I donā€™t really get a whole lot of negative feedback.
28) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?
Sarah and Cassidy are pretty much the people Iā€™ll run to. But, I will keep them close to my chest if Iā€™m not sure I want to proceed with the story or not.
29) Do people know you write fan-fiction?
Some do, yeah. My friend Ashlee actually found some of my writing and actually read it. I wasnā€™t prepared for that. Itā€™s unclear if my family knows that I still do, but they definitely knew that I did when I was a kid.
30) Whatā€™s your favorite minor character youā€™ve written?
Probably Sam in Road to Schkeuditz. I had a lot of fun with him!
31) What spurs you on during the writing process?
Feedback. It really does keep me going. Seeing others enjoying what Iā€™m writing about keeps me motivated to finish a story.
32) Whatā€™s your favorite trope to write?
So, after deliberation with Sarah, Iā€™ve realized that I donā€™t have a favorite to write. I havenā€™t written enough to really have a favorite!
33) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?
The first fic ever? No. God no. I canā€™t remember. It was probably my friendā€™s HP fanfic. I can remember the first fic I read for supernatural was from Mimi, and the first from the MCU was from Tesla. But I donā€™t remember what the stories were.
34) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?
Fluff. Always fluff. I canā€™t have a story end on a sad or bad note. It always has to have a happy ending.

Pond Diving - Supernatural-Jackles
Tumblr media
Welcome to todayā€™s Pond Diving Spotlight! We hope that you enjoy this little insight to our members and perhaps even find some useful tips for your own writing. Happy reading!
Want to volunteer, send us an ask! Weā€™re looking forward to learning more about all of you! Not sure what PD is, you can learn more here.
Tumblr media
ā€œDonā€™t Be Koi About Itā€ - All About You
Name:Ā Jen
Age:Ā 24
Location: Ontario, Canada
URL: @supernatural-jacklesā€‹Ā
Why did you choose your URL:Ā  I wanted a Supernatural theme for my blog when I started watching it and Jensen Ackles just happens to be my favourite on there so it became that.
What inspired you to become a writer:Ā Iā€™ve always enjoyed stories. Iā€™ve loved the aspect of taking your mind to a whole other world and living in it. As I grew up and continued reading, my love for stories became stronger and stronger. I fell in love with characters and places. I wanted to always have a way to go back to those places and take other people to those places. I wanted to create stories for others to fall in love with the way I fell in love with them.
How long have you been writing:Ā  I have been writing since I was 8 or 9.
What do you do when you are not writing i.e. Job/Hobbies etc?Ā  Right now, my Nintendo switch is a good friend of mine. Due to the virus, I spend a lot of my time inside when Iā€™m not at work. Iā€™m either writing, working, sleeping or playing switch.
How long have you been in the SPN Fandom?Ā  Since 2012
Are you in any other fandoms and do you write for them?Ā I am in the Harry Potter fandom, and Marvel. I donā€™t write for them though. I donā€™t feel the same way about the characters as I do with the SPN Fandom.Ā
Do you do any writing outside of fanfiction? If so, tell us about it?Ā I have been working on my novel for the last two years on and off. I just find a lot more joy in writing Supernatural fanfiction at the moment, so my soul focus has stayed on that.Ā
Favorite published author:Ā  Margaret Atwood or John Green
Have you ever read a book that made an impact on your life? Which one and why?:Ā  There was this one book I read. I was about 18 at the time I believe. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. A very triggering book, just so you know. I remember sitting there reading it and wondering why Iā€™m putting myself through something so draining and daunting. The book was very upsetting and I found it didnā€™t tackle the issues at hand in a very tasteful and realistic way. As someone who writes fanfiction about mental health, it influenced me to be open and honest about the way reality is, but in a way that would shine more positively towards mental health struggles. I never wanted to be that person who ruined every mental health book for someone else like that author did for me. It was a negative impact, but I think it had some positive results.
Favorite genre of fanfic (smut, angst, fluff, crack, rpf, etc):Ā  I enjoy all genres to be honest. It really all depends on the mood Iā€™m in that day. Itā€™s fun to switch it up every once in a while and enjoy the mixed emotions you get when you read or write said genre.
Favorite piece of your own writing:Ā One and One Make Three or Just Want to Be Loved.
Most underrated fic you have written:Ā  I might have to say More Than a Fling. It was the sequel to Summer Fling and everyone was interested in a second series. It soon went on permanent hiatus due to lack of interest.
Story of yours that youā€™d most like to see turned into a movie/tv show:Ā  Owe You One
Favorite Tumblr Writer(s):Ā  Ā @luci-in-trenchcoatsā€‹, @kaz-2y5imaginesā€‹,Ā  @jawritterā€‹ @mariekoukie6661ā€‹, @torn-and-frayedā€‹
Favorite fic from another writer:Ā  Breathe by @luci-in-trenchcoatsā€‹
Favorite character to write:Ā Dean/Jensen
Favorite Pairing to write:Ā  Undecided. I love reader inserts and I havenā€™t done many pairings other than that. I have toyed with Jensen/Reader/Danneel before and I enjoy writing them.
Least favorite character to write (and why):Ā  Castiel. We only see so much of Cas and there arenā€™t as many complex layers of him so heā€™s harder for me to explore.
Do you have anyone you consider a mentor?Ā  @luci-in-trenchcoats
Do you have any aspirations involving your writing?Ā Ā  Finish everything I start, and be proud of every piece I create.
How many work-in-progress stories do you have:Ā  Ummm probably upwards to the mid 60ā€™s I want to say.
What are you currently working on?Ā  I am in the very early stages of writing a Jensen x Reader Bodyguard AU series. Twisty and turny and very different from what I usually write, but still very me.
ā€œPond Divingā€ - All About The Writing
What/who has had the biggest influence on your writing?Ā  I have the biggest influence on my writing for the most part. I always stick with what I want to write and what Iā€™d love to read. Thatā€™s what gets me started on most pieces. My dear best friend who shall remain anonymous, has an influence on me as well. She mostly inspires me to write what I want to write and reminds me on a constant basis that I am doing good and to keep going with my ideas.
Best writing advice you've been given:Ā  Donā€™t be afraid to get a little out of your comfort zone.
Biggest obstacle youā€™ve faced in your writing:Ā  Time management mostly. Deadlines are not my best friend, thatā€™s for sure. I am often filled with a lot of self-doubt when it comes to getting things done on time. Then I wonder if itā€™s good enough for publishing or if I should wait.
What aspects of writing do you find difficult when you write fanfiction?Ā The research process for certain fics can be daunting. Especially if you donā€™t know where you need to start looking. Then fact checking, and making sure it works in the story. I have to remind myself that it will be worth it in the end.Ā
Is there anything you want to write but are afraid to (and why):Ā  I am pretty open with writing most of the things I want to. Getting out of my comfort zone is something I regularly do. Itā€™s always fun to challenge yourself into writing something youā€™d never think of doing. I certainly have enjoyed the things I was scared to try and it was worth it in the end.
What inspires/motivates you to write:Ā  Any selfie/picture posted by Jensen. My best friend and the lovely people around me. @luci-in-trenchcoats is a big influence on me and she always keeps me going!
How do you deal with self doubt:Ā  I constantly have to remind myself to get out of that headspace unless I am writing about being in that headspace. Itā€™s a hard cycle to break. Reminding myself that what I am doing is making me happy. Iā€™m making the rules. Iā€™m writing this for me. I have to please myself first and thatā€™s what matters the most. I know myself and the way I write, and that is enough. Thatā€™s what I keep on repeat in my head.
How do you deal with writer's block:Ā Cry profusely? Iā€™m kidding. Writerā€™s block for me, usually comes from something I donā€™t like that I have written. If itā€™s minor, I go back to the point where I was happy with where the story was going and delete everything after that. Give it a fresh new start and prospective. If the block is more severe, I take a break. Watch a movie and donā€™t stress myself about it. I get ideas anywhere, and it will come back eventually. Sometimes itā€™s just your brain's way of saying ā€œhey, you need to take a break. Do that.ā€
Do you plan/outline your story before you start:Ā Generally yes. I like to know where my story is going. Most of the time my outlines are more extensive rough drafts. Itā€™s a way of processing my thoughts and writing them down so I donā€™t forget later. Itā€™s a lot more fun for me to build on stories.
Do you have any weird writing habits:Ā  I either have to sit in a silent room, or I have to listen to music. Lately itā€™s been more silent. It depends on the subject.
Have you ever received hateful comments on your fic and how do you deal with it?Ā  Iā€™ve received my share of hateful comments. Each one sucks, Iā€™m not going to lie. Knowing that there is someone out there that hates the way you wrote something so much that they had to tell you isnā€™t nice. It kind of comes back to the self doubt thing. You have to remind yourself that this is one personā€™s not so kind opinion. You are the writer, you are in control of this story. This is you and youā€™re proud of this.
Conversely: whatā€™s been some of your favorite feedback on your fanfic?Ā  Any feedback is my favourite feedback. Every heart, every ā€œI love thisā€. Every ā€œYouā€™re my favourite.ā€ I canā€™t pick a favourite. If someone can take the time out to say theyā€™ve loved something I have written and that it meant a lot to them, then that's the best reward I can get.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new and/or struggling writer, what would it be?Ā  Keep writing everyday! You donā€™t see it now but the more you write, the better you get.

Hey I just need to get something off my chest and idk why Iā€™m dumping this all on u but u seem like the nicest person on tumblr that I know but if ur uncomfortable or anything pls feel free to look over this. Lately Iā€™ve been trying to stay away from bts and the fandom bc I feel like itā€™s toxic for me. Itā€™s not like where I listen to them and follow them and obsess on a religious level but I feel like Iā€™m more occupied w them than I should be. 1/?
After all theyā€™re all just humans who get tired and lonely and miserable and arenā€™t perfect, yet we idolize them and depend on them for our happiness. Of course we should support them, but itā€™s to the point where itā€™s frickin ridiculous, like nothing exists without bts, u know what I mean? 2/?
And Iā€™m at the point of life where t depends on me to make my own decisions and make choices that will shape my future, and I really donā€™t want to look back and regret wasting time watching videos and thinking about things that will essentially have no impact on my life. What I like about bts is that they seem to have a deeper motive behind just simple Kpop, but I think Iā€™ve taken that too far to an extent where itā€™s become my excuse. 3/?
Bts are seven people who have worked hard to deserve recognition and truly deserve it, but theyā€™re also seven men who have separate lives from me that I have nothing to do with. Theyā€™re people that Iā€™ve never even met and I donā€™t know tbh, we only see the filtered and edited sides of them. It just feels wrong to look at the packaged versions of them and expect them to live up to my expectations or fantasies. 4/?
Thereā€™s also the aspect that theyā€™re kpop idols, as in regardless of how different and unique they may be, theyā€™re still going to follow the formula and act like idols who are polished and made as perfect as possible. The whole industry is based on us going crazy over their looks and dance and singing and whatever, and itā€™s so messed up to me that we r supposed to like them for something so superficial and in genuine. 5/?
Idk if Iā€™m making a lot of sense rn. I just donā€™t think itā€™s right of me to force them into a mold that Iā€™ve created in my mind and then get disappointed when they donā€™t comply, and expect them to be something different when this whole time, even Iā€™ve been idolizing them based on their appearance and talents. 6/?
And then thereā€™s the fandom, filled with a variety of people from all different backgrounds, races, ages, genders, etc. and while itā€™s cool to have something in common with someone, Iā€™m just tired of having army be the only thing that defines me. When I meet someone that likes bts, itā€™s as if I personally donā€™t matter, like it doesnā€™t matter if I killed someone as long as I like bts. 7/?
I donā€™t know how to phrase this ā€¦ the diversity and tolerance is amazing, but at the same time, Iā€™d like more genuine friendships than fangirling over someoneā€™s biceps and thighs u know. Lately Iā€™ve been kind of falling out of listening to bts and stuff, but I find myself continuously going on social media so I can keep up with them in habit, more than being interested. I deleted Twitter and unfollowed all bts accounts on insta and tumblr, but without it I feel like Iā€™m missing something 8/?
Itā€™s just a cycle of me trying to discipline myself, not being able to do it, and getting sick of myself for being so pathetic. Even with fanfic, ur writing for example is literally better than like an average author, but I feel so stupid to fantasize about someone without even knowing them first. I donā€™t have a problem with fanfic, itā€™s more like I have a problem with myself reading fanfics. 9/?
I know most of my problems lie with myself, not bts or the fandom, so thatā€™s why Iā€™ve tried to bottle it up and pass it on but itā€™s really making me miserable. I know going to a fanfic author who I donā€™t know personally may not be the best idea, so pls donā€™t feel pressured by this message to do anything or say something. I think writing out my feelings and venting has made me feel a little better. 10/11
So Iā€™m really really sorry for forcing this on you, and donā€™t feel obligated to do anything!! Thank u for ur amazing writing like always, and have a restful and amazing day!!! 11/11
hi, honey bee, itā€™s totally okay to talk to me about anything you want and also, youā€™re incredibly sweet for thinking that iā€™m the nicest person on here, thank you :ā€™) but i really understand how you feel towards the whole fandom and bts.
yes, bts are justĀ humans who get tired and lonely and miserable and arenā€™t perfect, but rather than idolizing them, itā€™s perfectly okay to like them for who they are as people and for the music they produce. itā€™s okay to appreciate someone for the work they do, like how we enjoyĀ artwork and appreciate the artist for creating them or how we like the flowers planted in the park and appreciate the gardener for planting them.
i wouldnā€™t say that my happiness depends completely on them, but they do make up a little part of it because their music makes me happy. and music is supposed to make you feel things. their funny videos can make you happy, and thatā€™s okay, too. i see stanning bts as a hobby i enjoy at times, not as my only source of happiness, because thereā€™s so much more that makes me happy, like flowers, food, art, etc. however, depending on one thing for happiness is unhealthy, so i do agree that an obsession with bts is bad. thereā€™s nothing wrong with supporting them, but yes, having a mindset that only bts exists is unhealthy. i just found this post that better explains how stanning a group is good and bad through the psychological point of view, and itā€™s pretty interesting! :D
i donā€™t think youā€™re wasting time watching videos of them. if they made you happy at the time, if they made you laugh when you were sad, then it was worth it. unless youā€™re choosing to watch videos 24/7 and neglecting your family, friends, academics, job, health, etc. then i donā€™t think itā€™s necessarily bad that youā€™re watching videos. itā€™s like watching your favorite tv shows or playing sports. itā€™s just another hobby. it has an impact on your life because it makes you happier.
i do understand your concern though as you move into a new chapter of your life. personally, iā€™m not as into them as i once was back in high school anymore. i did spend a good deal of time writing and posting a fic about them once a week. it really changed when i went to college though since my priorities and time commitments changed. i think you might be more occupied with them when there isnā€™t something else to fill that aspect in your life if that makes sense? i wasnā€™t particularly academically simulated in high school, so i had a lot of time on my hands even after spending time with friends and doing clubs. i got into kpop because thatā€™s something easily accessible and itā€™s entertaining. but with the freedom that comes with college and harder classes, my time is filled more with going out with friends, studying, painting, spending time with my roommates, etc. and bts got less of my time.
yes, bts are people with separate lives who you may never meet, but that doesnā€™t mean you canā€™t appreciate and like them for what they do. and, they might not show everything about themselves to the public, but we can learn from the good examples they do show, such as their UNICEF work and lyrics that talk about more than just romantic love. i personally think that most of what they show is genuine, but there is a line to be drawn between enjoying the work they do and believing they are gods. but yes, i do get that their personas to the public can be fake, which is a bit /: because yeah, there are people who are in love with them and dedicate their lives to them, but we really donā€™t know who bts actually are.
i think, rather than idolizing them, itā€™s better to see them as humans and as people just like us. that tends to take away any fantasies or expectations i have of them. yes, they are kpop idols, and thatā€™s their job. theyā€™re just working to make a living doing what they love. yes, the industry is built upon the fans, but itā€™s like that with any music artist or celebrity. i think itā€™s okay to like bts, but not to the point where your love for them surpasses the love you have for people who are actually in your life.
and youā€™re making sense, donā€™t worry! i hope my answer makes sense, too. i think every fan goes through where youā€™re at right now. i had felt that way about bts and exo before, but i moved on from that and now see them as people whom i appreciate. it was just a process for me, but i think it has to do with me filling my time with other things and spending time with people i thought were more important, and my love for kpop is now just something that brightens my day a bit if i ever need it.
some fans can be veryā€¦ enthusiastic, but that might just be because they donā€™t have anyone else to talk to about bts. but yes, i get what youā€™re talking about. sometimes, itā€™s exhausting to just talk about one thing all the time and be seen as just a bts fan, and not as your own person. but even myself, i think itā€™s exciting to find someone else that listens to kpop since for me, there arenā€™t that many people around me who do. but after the initial excitement, iā€™ve made many friends through our mutual love for bts. as friendships grow, we talk about other interests we have and other things we like, so we donā€™t always talk about kpop. many of my friendships started from a mutual interest, whether it be bts or art or a mutual dislike for a teacher or class subject haha, but it grows from there as we talk about other things and get to know each other.
itā€™s fun to have someone to talk about comebacks and mvā€™s with, but yeah, i get that thereā€™s more to talk about. maybe you can try introducing a new topic? or going out with friends who donā€™t listen to bts? and hey, we can be friends if you want :D you can talk to me about your day, your favorite foods, your favorite tv shows, any pets if you have them, anything else you want! i havenā€™t listened to bts for a while now either, i only follow their official account on instagram, and i donā€™t check my tumblr for days, even months during the school year. i donā€™t think you have to cut them out entirely to the point where you feel like something is missing. but if you are no longer interested in them, do you have any hobbies you can use to fill up that missing feeling? maybe baking or cooking? drawing? going out with friends?
and you are not pathetic!!! you donā€™t have to cut off something entirely at once. it takes time, but youā€™ll get there. and omg alsjdhflaksdhfd thank you for saying that about my writing :ā€™) and thereā€™s nothing wrong with reading fanfiction! please donā€™t feel bad for reading it. fanfictions are just like any other stories out there, except you already have a face and a name for some characters. i personally donā€™t read them for the idols featured; i read them because the writing is so much better and there are so many more interesting concepts involved in fics than in books i can get from the library.Ā
and please donā€™t keep your feelings bottled up and be miserable ): you can always come talk to me if you ever feel this way. and if you have one, we can swap kakaotalk idā€™s if you want to talk since it might be easier to text that way :) or you can send in more asks! itā€™s always good to talk about your feelings, even if it isnā€™t comfortable at first. even if itā€™s not me who you talk to in the future, i hope you are able to share your feelings with someone else and not keep everything inside. you deserve to feel happy. and iā€™m happy to hear that youā€™re feeling a little better! youā€™re always welcome to vent into my inbox (or you can direct message me; i have it turned off for those i donā€™t follow, but if you send me an ask with your url, i can message you first, so we can talk that way, too, if you want!)
you donā€™t have to apologize; iā€™m just very glad that youā€™re feeling at least a little better now! i understand that thereā€™s a struggle that comes when youā€™re dealing with something thatā€™s been a part of your life for so long. your feelings are valid, and i have definitely felt this way before, and itā€™s always good to talk it out or have someone listening. and thank you so much for liking and reading my writing, sweetpea šŸ’• i hope you have a lovely and relaxing day as well! i hope youā€™re doing good, and youā€™re still feeling better today, honey beeĀ šŸŒ»šŸ’˜

A few months ago, I stopped posting on Facebook. This was a big deal for me. I used to post at least once a day. Funny jokes, memes, just things to make people smile and laugh. I didnā€™t use Facebook to update people on my life, I used it to make people smile. Thatā€™s been my goal for over five years now. Before this year, the longest Iā€™ve gone between posts was probably one week. Why? Because with all of the shit going on in the world and all of the drama on Facebook, I thought that people needed somewhere to go to have a laugh. To forget about it all.Ā
It got to the point that I got kind of Facebook famous in my hometown. Friends of friends would ask to be my friend, because I had numerous people tell me that they frequently Facebook-stalked me with their friends for a laugh. Every time I would go home, the first thing family friends would say to me is,Ā ā€œOh, i just love what you post on Facebook!ā€ And if I was ever introduced to someone new, my introduction would go something like,Ā ā€œThis is Aubrey and she just posts the best things on Facebook.ā€ It made me feel good. I was actually making a small difference in the world. I loved knowing that something I was doing gave everyone who was friends with me on Facebook and even some who werenā€™t a chance to smile.Ā
Then, one day, I just stopped. I didnā€™t make one of thoseĀ ā€œIā€™m deleting my Facebook accountā€ posts that you see so often. I didnā€™t announce it, and I havenā€™t made a big deal about it since. I still like and comment on peopleā€™s posts every now and again, but I donā€™t post.Ā
And you know what?Ā
No one noticed. Or, if they have, they havenā€™t asked why.Ā
Itā€™s been over three months, and I havenā€™t posted once. I could go into detail behind my reasons for not posting anymore, but Iā€™m not going to. Theyā€™re very personal and not very healthy or whatnot, and thatā€™s not the point of this post.
What, you may ask, is the point of this post then?
If it was that easy for me to stop making small posts, for copying and pasting memes, for getting into meme wars with my friends AND I had people frequently tell me that I was making a difference in their life, then how easy do you think it would be for me to just stop posting here?
Let me tell you, it would be so fucking easy.Ā
The effort it takes to maintain this blog is astronomical compared to the effort it took to make a dumb little post on Facebook. The feedback I got for my effort on Facebook was so much more reassuring than the feedback I get on this blog. Logically, it doesnā€™t make sense for me to keep this blog, but stop doing things on Facebook.Ā
I know youā€™ve seen a lot of these posts churning about on this website. My fellow fanfic authors practically begging for comments, screaming in their inbox, anything that shows that you give a damn. I thought Iā€™d add my point of view.
Youā€™ve heard it before, that we put our hearts and souls into our fics. We spend so much fucking time and lose so much fucking sleep to write things that you might want to read. Just for that, donā€™t you think that we deserve even a reblog with your comments in the tags?
But, hereā€™s a point of view that you might not have thought of, and here is where my business school persona comes out. Yes, the writing takes a long time, and yes it takes a lot of emotional turmoil, and yes itā€™s a fucking drag sometimes. Just for that, we deserve something. But to actually post something weā€™ve written? Do you have any idea how much effort that takes?
Hereā€™s an example: Iā€™ve had at least 2 fics in my drafts all ready to go for at least a week. The writing and editing is all done. Iā€™ve copy and pasted the words over. But they arenā€™t posted yet. Why?
Because posting a fic takes so much damn time. Maintaining a blog takes so much damn effort. You have to make sure the links are all working, you have to make the posts look nice and bold what you want bolded, italicize what you was italicized, find a good gif for some posts. You have to add page breaks and read mores. You have to add the tags so people can find your fic. If you have a taglist, you have to add all those tags and that takes a long time. You have to link parts of a series to the masterlist, and/or to the previous and next parts. There is so much fucking work that you donā€™t see that we do.Ā
Posting to a blog is so much more than just writing.
Itā€™s exhausting. And if there isnā€™t anything to show for it, then why bother putting in the effort at all?Ā
Iā€™m not threatening to delete my blog if I donā€™t get more feedback. I can almost guarantee that I wonā€™t delete this blog. However, itā€™s very possible that I might just stop posting. And Iā€™ll just fade away. Iā€™m not delusional enough to think that if I stopped posting, anyone would notice or care for more than a few days. There are so many more great writers out there, writers with better plots than me, writers with better words and descriptions than me, writers who are just plain better than me. If I stopped posting, the world would keep turning. Iā€™m not trying to make this into a dramatic ultimatum. Iā€™m just saying it like it is. Just like when I stopped posting on Facebook, no one noticed.
Iā€™m going through a really tough time right now. I donā€™t bring my personal life onto this blog often. And I know that you are not responsible for my mental health, and this is in no way supposed to make you feel guilty if you are the kind of person who might start feeling guilty. A few comments wonā€™t make me suddenly all better and bright and bubbly and happy.Ā
However, I do have limited energy. I have limited motivation. And it seems like each day, I get less and less of both of those. I have to choose where to put my time and focus. I have to decide where I am best off using my skills. Because I canā€™t do it all. Not anymore.Ā
This might sound like me whining, but I promise itā€™s not. I will always write. That is just who I am. But posting to this blog? If thereā€™s no payout for me, then thereā€™s no point for me. It might hurt me a little to stop doing anything with this blog, but I have a life outside of this blog that will help me get over it. I know that many other authors on this website feel the same. Weā€™re just human. we want to feel appreciated. And if we donā€™t feel appreciated here, then weā€™ll go somewhere else for the appreciation we deserve.Ā
I would love to keep updating this blog. In the two years since Iā€™ve started this blog, Iā€™ve learned so much and itā€™s done so much for me. But itā€™s been two years, and Iā€™m only getting notes from 1% of my followers. Thatā€™s right. 1%. I get few reblogs and few comments (and to those who comment, I see you and I love you and youā€™re wonderful, and I wish I had to energy to keep posting things if only just for you, but I donā€™t and Iā€™m so sorry for that).Ā
If you like something and you want more, then you have to let people know that you want more. Humans arenā€™t mind-readers.Ā
Likes are nice, but they really donā€™t do much. Reblogs and replies are great too. But if you reallyĀ want to support your favorite fanfic authors on this website (including or excluding me) then reblogging the fic withĀ a comment makes a huge difference. I canā€™t tell you the number of times Iā€™ve almost scrolled past a fic that I thought,Ā ā€œEh. not really my thingā€ after reading the summary, only to see that someone commented how much they loved it, or how that plot twist killed them, or a million other things along with some incoherent screaming or cussing in the tags. Scrolling through tumblr and seeing an ask that an author answered that had someone yelling at them for a super fluffy or super angsty fic makes me excited to see what got someone so pumped.
Itā€™s the comments that make me read new things that I might not have otherwise.Ā
Itā€™s the comments that reallyĀ show your support because itā€™s like youā€™ve printed out the fic and youā€™re standing in the middle of a busy mall handing out copies to passersby and shouting,Ā ā€œREAD THIS FIC I LOVED IT IT ABSOLUTELY TORE MY HEART OUT AND I WANT YOU TO SUFFER TOO BECAUSE ITā€™S ABSOLUTELY MAGICALā€ rather than sitting in a dark, dusty corner of a library reading the fic before setting it back on the shelf so no one ever knew that you read it in the first place.
Iā€™ve said it before, but Iā€™ll say it again. I write for me. I post for you. If I stop posting, that doesnā€™t mean Iā€™ll stop writing. It just means that you wonā€™t get to read it. So next time you read a fic and you donā€™t reply/reblog/or send an ask, think to yourself: Did I like this? Do I want more like this? If the answer is yes, then let the author know!! We arenā€™t mind readers. Weā€™re human. And we like to know that weā€™re appreciated.

Another Writersā€™ Meme
I saw another blog do this last week and decided it looked like fun. And I love talking about myself.
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
I made this name so long ago. Like 10+ years. I made it in Middle School to a reference about Zelda (the character Saria) and it became a joke with a friend of mine (Sariaā€™s Princy) and it stuck. I donā€™t know why.
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/favourites, follows/subscriptions, visitor hits, kudos)
Nightmare in Red has to most reviews
Code Seventy-Seven has the most views
But I believe Within the Messages and Cold Case are a long standing favorite.
3. What is your FFnNet/AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
Itā€™s Itachi. And itā€™s because I like Itachi and Surfacage ha
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Yes! That would be @la-moonlight-lily @zutaras-where-its-at @nips-out-for-itachi @crimsonriley @heymessyjessie
On FF, thereā€™s Key, parsimonia, WhiskeyBlair (so many names I recognize in the reviews)
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
Everything written by Cynchick.Ā
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
Honestly I am so lazy with reading fic. I usually forget unless it comes across my dash.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Modern!
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
On fanfiction, Iā€™m on the favorites of 1124 and the alert of 951. Quite the number going! Thanks for the love!
9. Is there something youā€™d like to write about but are šŸ˜Ø of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Dirty smut? ha
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
Writing complex plots without a whole bunch of plot holes.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
ItaSaku is pretty popular I feel like. And MadaSaku is now becoming popular?? (at least in my circle). Does TobiSaku count as a rarepair? Cause thatā€™s a new fav!
12. How many stories have you posted on FFNet/AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
Twenty-four. I deleted a lot of them when I disappeared for 4 years.
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
Donā€™t even ask....I have about two dozen half-written ideas on Google Docs alone. I have no idea about Word. Has to be in the 100s. Many of which I will not write.Ā
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
If itā€™s something I think Iā€™ll come back to I write it down. If itā€™s a passing fantasy, I enjoy and let it go.Ā
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
@beyondthemoor oh my darling. Weā€™ve done a couple: Round Robin - ItaSakuShisui (Rated M) Gas Station - KisaIno (Fluff Friday)
16. How did you discover FFNet/AO3?
I joined FF in 2007. I have no idea about AO3. I think I googled a rarepair I came across the glory that is AO3
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on FFNet/AO3?
When I first started, no. But so many authors have left the fandom that I sometimes feel like Iā€™m one of the only ones still writing ItaSaku ha.
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?Ā
Whores. Just kidding! Sorta.
Nah, I mostly call my reviewers wonderful people, cause for the most part, they are.Ā
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
I get inspired more by ideas. Silverfootsteps wrote a wonderful story called Eastern Suns that I am still raving about. That one inspired me. I do like to bounce ideas off a few other tumblrs, but my inspiration usually comes from every day things: grocery shopping, working out, out at dinner, etc.
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
Read, read, read. The best way to learn how to write is to read otherā€™s writersā€™ work like a writer. Try to see what you like about their writing style, what you donā€™t like. Then incorporate that into your own.Ā
When I donā€™t know how to write something so itā€™s smooth and easy to follow (ie fight scenes, kissing, smut, etc) I read a handful of other peopleā€™s writing to see what worked for them and perhaps didnā€™t work. Then apply that towards my own work.
Plus it gives you time to step away from your own writing if you feel stuck.Ā
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
Both. It usually starts out with writing as I go. But then I get ideas of scenes I would like to add later so I throw them into a document so I can go back and reference.Ā
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
One I remember was someone commenting on a MadaSaku story saying they ā€œpreferred NaruSakuā€. Like okay?? Why are you here? Hahah.
Iā€™ve also gotten a visit from g.o.d., which I found more funny than offensive. Usually I just ignore hate though. Iā€™ve been writing long enough that I know when my work is good or not. Just shrug it off.
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
FLUFF. I donā€™t know why. I hate cliches in writing. It makes me gag. So trying to write fluff that isnā€™t like that is difficult all the time sometimes.Ā
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
See my previous post for this answer ha.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
I usually try not to because then I get excited to just move on. But usually I plan on taking a break after completing a long story but before I even finish, I get another multi-chap fic idea and Iā€™m like nooooo - letā€™s do it!
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
I used to just write as I felt like doing it, but then I would sometimes go two weeks without writing. So recently, I started a goal of writing at least one sentence a day (if not more). I even have an alarm set at 6pm every day, asking if Iā€™ve written yet.
27. Do you think youā€™ve improved as a writer since you first started?
Hell yes. Omg, my first fics are horrible. Physically painful to write, dear lord.
28. What is your favorite story(s) that youā€™ve written?
Ink was a lot of fun, Iā€™m Sorry for What I said... was not a favorite but it is growing on me now. Where it Happened because I feel like there are soooo few medical AUs.Ā
29. What is your least favorite story(s) that youā€™ve written?
Within the Messages/Cold Case. Neither one is very accurate. They make me cringe. The only reason theyā€™re still up is because so many people seem to enjoy them.
30. Where do you šŸ‘€ yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Still trash.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
Imagining story ideas.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Writing.
33. Why do you write?
Because even after all the writing, rewriting, editing, cringing and rewriting, itā€™s still amazing to be able to share what youā€™ve created. And to hear how people enjoyed what you made feels good. Plus there is a deep sense of accomplishment when you finally write that final word: end
Tagging: @crimsonriley @la-moonlight-lily @littlebirdrobin and anyone else who wants to!!!

What are your favorites meronia fanfiction/fanartists?
Thank you for coming to me to ask this question. The real list might be longer than the one in the answer below but here are my absolute favorite artists and authors of all time:
1. Fanfic Authors:- Forbiddensoul562 [Tumblr] [FF.net]I donā€™t think thereā€™s any Meronia fan out there that hasnā€™t read her work up to this point. It would be like youā€™re telling me youā€™re a MN fan but havenā€™t played any of Akaneā€™s famous games. Reading Forbiddensoul562ā€²s fics is a must, not only because of the way she portrayed the characters and their dynamic so brilliantly but also the way she made even the normal AUs/plots feel captivating. Right now she is having probably one of the biggest writter blocks of her writting path so there isnā€™t any new fics lately. But letā€™s hope for her comeback soon.
- wxmmyshouseĀ [Tumblr]Ā [AO3]I truly donā€™t know much about this author but the way their work won my heart is the fact that canā€™t be changed. Iā€™ll leave the links to some of their fanfics below so you can experience what I did yourself.[Landscape after cruelty][This Story Doesnā€™t Change][silhouettes][Unnamed Paragraph][Zombie AU]
- RachnaĀ [FF.net]Ā [AO3]She used to be one of the most active Meronia/Death Note fans on this site (went with the DN blog named lawlietsjustice, which is now deleted). She was also the first one who told me about the idea of holding a Meronia Secret Exchange because she saw other fandoms/ships have that so why not do it for Meronia. And the @meroniaweek blog, which is an event that was held last year, something in my gut tells me that was her running the blog too (correct me if Iā€™m wrong though). Sadly most of her fics disappeared when she decided to delete the blog but follow the links to her profiles up there and you can still find some of them. Enjoy ;)
- COMPLETARE [FF.net]Yeah, youā€™ll click into that link, find absolute no fanfic and think that I gave you the wrong one or something. The truth is they didnā€™t delete their account but they did delete their Tumblr blog and all of their fanfics on FF.net because they hate how badly their grammar was at that point. And itā€™s been so long, I donā€™t really know for sure that if they would still remain as one of my top favorite authors anymore. But thereā€™s one thing I know for sure, one of their fanfics has made its imprint on me, which can never be faded. Itā€™s calledĀ ā€œFalling For Youā€ and boi, let me tell you, itā€™s a feast for a MN shipperā€™s soul like mine. I canā€™t tell you everything about it just in this post but itā€™s the fic where thereā€™re Wammyā€™s kids, college life, slow burn love, Mello jealous over hickey (he made) on Nearā€™s neck, Near seducing Mello (oh yes he did, he failed though), the big conspiracy and a bittersweet (but still can be considered as a happy) ending. Yeah, itā€™s that great.
2. Artists:- foresshikaki [Tumblr]I really canā€™t tell you how much I love this artistā€™s work. The way they used colors, the stories they managed to tell within one canvas. I donā€™t know how they did it or how they even came up with those brilliant ideas and concepts but I really really want to see more of their work. They havenā€™t updated recently (thatā€™s what I see on Tumblr) but their work are still there. Please go and take a look yourself XD
- RikaMello [DeviantArt]If you donā€™t know who she is, youā€™re missing out big time. That girl has the greatest love for Mello and the maddest skills for her art. I love how thereā€™s always a story behind each of her work and even though she doesnā€™t speak English fluently, she always tried to explain it to her viewers. From what I heard, she said thereā€™re even MN fanfics printed as books but theyā€™re in Chinese. Gosh, I wish I had a copy of those and understood the language. Anyway, go check out her gallery and give this girl some love ;D
- pakimog [Tumblr] [Twitter]One word to talk about their art: GORGEOUS. I donā€™t understand what they say since itā€™s in Japanese but their art is just breathtaking - fragileradius [Tumblr] [DeviantArt]There are a lot of artists whose art is great but never seem to have the appreciation they deserve and this person is one of them. I donā€™t know about you guys but each of this artistā€™s drawing takes me to a whole different world. The way they incorporate sceneries into Meronia art, the concepts and how they put them into work and the feelings that their drawings was able to provoke within me. Everything is just perfect in their own unique way. This artist will always have my support.
The actual list is longer but this answer, I think, is long enough and I can confidently say that these are the people whose work have the biggest impact on me and my shipping life. Hopefully Iā€™ll be able to add more in the future ;)

i got tagged by @l0chn3ss....again, over a week ago....Iā€™M CATCHING UP I PROMISE
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
I think I just have always used this username for internet things. I picked it back when I was working on a fic that involved a hierarchy of angels -- Sabraealā€™s dominion is healing and illness. It seemed apropos, back when I was certain I was going to cure cancer with my biology degree
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/favorites, follows/subscriptions, visitor hits, kudos)
In a move that surprises no one, Seven Suitors for Shirayuki on AO3.
On tumblr it is Were Hearts Not an Unknown Country
3. What is your FFnNet/AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
Itā€™s the same as my tumblr icon, and I love it. @heartamplifier made it for me and it is gorgeous
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Besides @superhappybubbleslove and @claudeng80 on tumblr, I have a handful of semi=regular commenters on AO3 who I donā€™t know personally but would probably die for
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
I feel like not one SPECIFICALLY. I have phases where Iā€™m like, time to go hurt myself and read ISMā€™s fics, or like time to go read sarahā€™s regency fic and scream about how i want them to make out, or like letā€™s read the sexy alt timeline to Ever After again because I feel like lightly suffering. Sometimes I get in the mood for fics from other pairings I love and go read their greatest hits
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I had 46 bookmarked and 7 stories subbed to
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
Modern AUs, for some reason, and when Iā€™m lucky, fantasy/magic AUs
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
57 user subscriptions, 345 fic subscriptions, 487 bookmarks
9. Is there something youā€™d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
Not...overly? Though I just realized I might be signing myself up for shark dick, Shape of Water-esque smut and I just....donā€™t know how i feel about that turn in my life.
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
Iā€™d love to be able to focus more when I write. I have such little non-baby time to write, and I can have a real problem buckling down and getting stuff done. Thanks ADD, youā€™re a real peach/
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Uhhhhh well, I guess popular ships, since Obiyuki EXPLODED since I started writing for it. But I do have some rare pair content coming up, so my time right now is split
12. How many stories have you posted on FFNet/AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
I have 40 works, though some of those are collections of one-shots, so thatā€™s anyoneā€™s guess, honestly
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
I am not counting that, lord have mercy.
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
Write them down! As long as Iā€™ve decided theyā€™re gonna get written, everything gets written down (unless itā€™s SUPER short)
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
NOT YET
16. How did you discover FFNet/AO3?
Oh children. Children. Iā€™m over 30. I was THERE when that shit was made.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on FFNet/AO3?
Iā€™d say in terms of ANS, yes, but itā€™s a big fish, small pond situation. In terms of popular authors in bigger fandoms, I am a very, very small fish
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
I....do not?
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Not...specifically? I was always really driven to write. In terms of fandom...I think I only was so determined to post Seven Suitors because I thought @infinitelystrangemachinex needed to be able to read more than 2 good fics that werenā€™t her own writing
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
Enjoy the process. If youā€™re only focused on telling the events, youā€™ll always be bored after youā€™ve outlined the story. Get pumped for showing off your skills.
You canā€™t improve in a vacuum. Talk out your plots with people. Let people edit your shit. Too many times people think they have to do it alone, and thatā€™s how you stagnate as a writer.
Take writing advice from people you want to write like. Anon comments, random comments -- none of them matter, because you have no idea whether what these people want align with how you want to write. Listen to them, sure, decide if thereā€™s something in it you can use, but -- this person could think Twilight was a good romance. Or Tolkein was good at character development. You donā€™t need their opinion.
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
I always know where Iā€™m going. Maybe not SOLIDLY, but I donā€™t start a fic where all I know is the beginning
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
HAHAH YEP. I deleted it. Itā€™s one thing to have constructive criticism (whether itā€™s helpful or not), but this was basicallyĀ ā€œdonā€™t think this is mindless hate...*two comments worth of mindless hate*ā€
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Anything with a lot of limbs
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
SO MANY. I have a Seven Suitorā€™s B-side, a Suzuri WFB fic, a stupidly huge mitsukiki mermaid AU, the next chapter of Merry & Bright, the next chapter of Sensitive Negotiations, and sometimes I even get to pick away at the second part of the Stripper!Shirayuki fic
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
Yep. I like knowing where my focus will be (though I tend to work on multiple things at once)
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
I try to have fic-related goals, like -- Iā€™ll finish this scene, iā€™ll get to this part -- and I try to have a few fics i get through in a day (between 2-4, usually). But I also only dedicate two 20-minute sprints to each fic per day (except on saturdays, which are for plowing through fics close to being finished)
27. Do you think youā€™ve improved as a writer since you first started?
DEFINITELY
28. What is your favorite story(s) that youā€™ve written?
Only looking at finished fics, probably either A Lion to Terrify the Wolves or Creatures of a Brief Season
29. What is your least favorite story(s) that youā€™ve written?
I donā€™t think thereā€™s any specific fic i donā€™t like? Maybe something I wrote as a teeny tiny, that never saw the light of day.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Hopefully published? Weā€™ll see. Have to have time to work on original things, first.
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
Dialogue
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
Keeping track of all the details over a long period of time *deep sigh*
33. Why do you write?
I enjoy telling stories! I canā€™t imagine not doing it
for tagging.... @superhappybubbleslove, @infinitelystrangemachinex, @thelionshoarde, @claudeng80 @codango
