oh man. okay i can elaborate on plenty of these but i can't decide on what to say first so... rapid fire round based on what i mentioned in the tags of that post last night, lets go

he's a genderfluid transmasc guy but he stringently denies any of the genderfluidity until like his mid-20s because he's clinging so hard to the rules of What It Means To Be A Man. if he has dysphoric days when he's feeling too masculine no he doesn't <3 if he's insecure about how he likes to hang with the girls a lot no he isn't <3 it doesn't make him less of a trans man to have a lot of female friends!! it doesn't!!! and related insecurities, etc. (kon hesitantly stepping out of the closet and exploring being genderqueer actually helps tim a lot with this but not before he has to jump through at least 17 hoops of self-imposed restrictions, rules, and agonies. you know the drill.)

he is not someone who uses endearments lightly. when he does use them it's a huge indicator that's someone who means a lot to him. his go-tos are the simple and classic ones like babe/baby, sweetheart, etc, but when he's feeling especially tender he'll trot out "darling", which in his heart holds a very high tier for "words that mean love" because it's what he remembers his parents calling each other when he was little, and it cemented that in his head: if you really really love someone, you call them "darling". yeah he's aware that's sappy and sounds kind of old-fashioned or whatever. he also does not care.

he normally looks like a skater boy or the distilled essence of "i'm just a kid" by simple plan, BUT. he dresses business casual when he's depressed but in denial about being depressed. why? well, his parents are dead, but at least he knows they'd be approving of him comporting himself appropriately. he can make them proud in the little ways. he's functioning so well right now, see? could a depressed person do THIS? (pulls on a pair of slacks) it's about the idea of being in control of how he's perceived by the outside world. it stops being about comfort or self-expression and becomes a defense mechanism. he's so normal and professional-looking and capable! this is the guy his parents wanted him to be. (yes, this is directly inspired by the way they put him in a little baby suit to go to the circus. ITS THE CIRCUS.)

when he feels safe somewhere, he falls asleep and sleeps so deep. one time he dozed off at titans tower and woke up to kon and bart playing jenga on his chest (challenge mode because the tower rises and falls with his breathing). kon and bart will never let him live down the way he just blinked at them and then fell back asleep.

Jenova is such an interesting creature/concept and is absolutely the reason this is the series I write fanfiction for. I have plenty of other games I've played for much longer yet the combination of Sephiroth, Jenova, the Cetra, and the Lifestream always keep me coming back.

So, for fun, here's the way I break down Jenova in my own work. Or what I like to call "the Jenova Mindset".

What is a mindset? I have yet to meet a single writer that doesn't immediately know what a "mindset" is even if they don't use the word. It's really the head space you need to be in to write a certain character. How they think, how they react, what their motivations are, what they want to do next vs what they need to do next, etc. I still find myself changing certain ways of thinking to fit characters more and more, even if I've basically solidified what they are.

Jenova is an interesting case for me.

I always stuck to rules for "Her", even when I first started. Jenova is the Calamity, the virus, the doppleganger, the first meteor. But Sephiroth did willingly go to her, so there must be some kind of draw, some pull. This draw is governed by the internal pull of Reunion and by "Her voice". But Jenova is an alien creature that consumes the life forces of planets. She doesn't sound like anything we would know or recognize or even understand. Not once do I describe Her voice with gender or pitch. Perceived emotions, intentions, dizzying feelings, and descriptions that do not exist for voices, that's what She would be. "Cosmic, astral, celestial, galactic, gravitational". I can go on all day.

Do I think She can speak in the games? Do I think she spoke to Sephiroth at Nibelhiem? I have no idea. I just like playing with potential draws of what She could say.

Now that She has a voice, what does she say? This is extremely difficult for me because every word must draw you in, give this feeling of concern and false care in your chest when you read. As a writer, this really difficult to pull off, but I try. How?

She is always kind to Sephiroth. Always. Ignoring whatever will happen when Evercrisis drops, we can easily assume he had a terrible childhood and a standoffish adulthood. Sephiroth is weird and sheltered and doesn't have a lot of common ground for normal conversation. He grew up in a cruel environment most likely controlled by Doctor Hojo. With a few words, she needs to make him feel accepted and cared for. She copies this perceived kindness from Gillian, Angeal's mother who canonically had Jenova cells implanted in her before his birth. She will only coax Sephiroth, she will never push. Drilling the same phrase into Sephiroth's mind is risky and is only used when there is no other option. If he is too far from Her or too distracted by his not-yet-completely-tragic life, small messages like 'come to me' or small feelings in dreams are Her best chance. Usually Her words spark Sephiroth's childhood desire for a mother, warm and comforting and uncomfortably safe. She speaks with a kindness he is not used to until he calls her 'Mother'. Only once he gives Her that title and unknowingly that power does She call him 'my son'. She fills that hunger within him with or without his title from then on.

Next, as you've probably already noticed, She should not feel normal. She should not seem the same as the other characters throughout the world, thus "She" and "Her" are always capitalized to give that subconscious feeling of Jenova having a greater presence in any situation. To aid in this, Her words are at minimum bolded. Maximum they are italicized and bolded, but this is usually reserved for telepathy. She does not speak in full capital letters. She does not lose her Temper, not anymore, not after failing to the Cetra. That's what Sephiroth's for. All she needs to do is point him in the correct direction. He is Her weapon. She is his support. They share one goal. She may be at Sephiroth's side, but by then he is already carrying out her legacy.

Lastly, (and silly me, I almost forgot), She will never lose. I make jokes about being "The Queen of the Nibelhiem Incident" because even when I'm given a scenario or set of steps where Sephiroth choses not to join her that makes perfect sense, I subconsciously take it apart, I analyze each detail before his decision is made, and I change the outcome back to its fiery course. Jenova will always be at Sephiroth's side and they will claim the planet. End of story. That's their goal. I've literally asked other writers for permission to make new endings for their own stories just because these plans never leave my head, and for SOME reason even the HAPPIEST, FLUFFIEST, NO FIRE ALLOWED writers say yes. Not every one of my fics ends or will end in flames, but there's a constant struggle between Her power and the will of the protagonists that I must keep in check. Though this isn't directly related to The Jenova Mindset, it's what constantly drives Her. She is a virus. She is a survivor. She is persistent. She is patient. She waited two thousand years to complete her goal and get revenge on the Cetra. She will use the last of Her control to use the son humanity gave Her.

I will never lose. I will never leave. Time is a precious resource. Use it well. Recover, build, control your puppets.

Claim what is rightfully ours when you're ready. Be patient. Be calm. Our time will come. Rest for now. Regain your strength.

That's what the Jenova Mindset is.

hey man. i heard from someone that you dont like she/her v2 headcanons because they feel misogynistic to you, and i just want to say in the most respectful way possible (i genuinely mean no ill will or hate i promise. also i should clarify this ask is coming from A Woman) that your behaviour about that feels a little like, idk, making a mountain out of a molehill. except the molehill is just a she/her headcanon.

i do understand the genuine concern behind people heacanoning a "less violent, more peaceful" character with the she/her pronouns; but as far as ive seen no one headcanons v2 as a girl for those reasons, or even characterizes v2 like that at all. and v2 is canonically portrayed just as violently as v1 ? just because v2 is a security bot doesnt mean its more peaceful, its like calling the turrets from portal 2 harmless.

im not saying you have to accept a she/her v2 headcanon, im just saying i think you may need to reevaluate *why* you find a she/her headcanon to be so offensive. because i dont think misogyny is the reason.

I understand the concern and where you're coming from with this, but in the original post where I talk about being irritated by it, it's specifically referring to people who use she/her for v2 while using he/him for v1 at the same time. my (probably not great) explanation for how i think karma/rebirth/ascension in rain world works

hello internet welcome to gay theory. are you confused about how rain world’s karma system works? great, me too! wtf is going on! don’t worry i have a theory as to how it works.

look at my funny diagram

my theory sorta builds on the theory that the world in rw is infinitely layered. there is a “surface world” above and beneath every world. you can sort of think of them as separate timelines, dimensions, etc. the reason i interpret it like this is because of a specific lore pearl--in one of the subterranean pearls, moon says this:

"If you leave a stone on the ground, and come back some time later, it's covered in dust. This happens everywhere, and over several lifetimes of creatures such as you, the ground slowly builds upwards.

So why doesn't the ground collide with the sky? Because far down, under the very very old layers of the earth, the rock is being dissolved or removed. The entity which does this is known as the Void Sea.

If you drill far enough into the earth you begin encountering a substance called Void Fluid. The deeper you go, the less rock and more Void Fluid. It's believed that there is a point where the rock completely gives way - below that would be the Void Sea.

When that stone you placed on the ground has finally done its time in the sediments, it meets the Void Fluid and is dissolved, leaving the physical world."

THE DUST IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT’S OFFHANDEDLY MENTIONED BUT IT’S IMPORTANT HERE’S WHY: it’s never explained where this dust comes from. supposedly, it comes from the sky. but how? infinitely layered world baby

how it works is that the matter that the void sea in the above surface world is dissolved and becomes dust, which then rains down onto the below surface world. but you can’t just fly up into the void sea, the devs have said the ancients have been to space iirc. the dust comes from an opening in the sky, only perceivable when encountering echoes, because echoes reside in a different realm (but not a different world, more on that in a bit).

now ik you’re saying “okay BUT what abt the whole death and rebirth thing???” im getting to that.

when slugcat, or any other creature dies, they begin perceiving the world from a slugcat on another layer. all of the layers are identical, so when waking up after dying, everything looks the same, so it’s easy to think that you just. died and then woke back up, when really, you’re on a different surface world/layer. it ties into the buddhist concept of there being no single central self.

but what about those who ascend? well take a look at my next funny diagram

*i do want to mention that the top right corner’s text is outdated. i don’t think they’re reborn as their self from their previous existence, rather they’re born into the life/body of another creature depending on karma. they could be reborn as the same species or something new.

so in using the void sea to achieve ascension, it's a sort of false ascension. those who do manage to ascend via the void sea only end up reborn in a new layer. so while the material body is gone from the living realm, the soul isn't. ascension via the void sea is thus just another part of the cycle, since you’re effectively just moving in-between spiritual realms. true ascension means that every instance of yourself from each layer joins into one single, central self, and that central self is crossed out. once that central self dies, it has nowhere to transfer the soul, thus achieving true ascension and breaking the cycle.

and how does one go about doing that? uh. i don’t fuckin know. adopt a The Saint Rain World.

Just so you know I do tend to overshare on my posts, I try keeping an open mind most times, due to my personality and the way I was brought up I am relatively mean when talking about others even if I don't exactly mean to be. I don't necessarily trash talk people in specific but I tend to be overly honest with people which causes feelings to get hurt etc, etc. I speak what I perceive to be the truth so I lack friends irl..

Personality: It's changed almost every time I took the MBTI test, probably because I took it on 16p.. But I also self typed too and looked into how people who actually are the MBTI I call myself act and respond as a person and compared it with myself I so I guess it's self typing? I don't know. But INTJ is what I find most relatable to myself and how I perceive the world and interact with people. Not too sure of an enneagram I haven't found a free test for that yet.

Interests: Ani-manga, Horror genre things, JJK, PMM, Death note, tbhk, danganronpa. Drawing, Character design, Fanfic reading or writing, world building, character writing, Reality shifting, japanese folklore, I love using folklore when creating characters it is so much fun to interpret and create a design incorporating elements from history, or just irl things in general. I like hazbin hotel, don't come for me I hate the humor in it but I love the idea of the show being an interpretation of heaven and hell and the society in it. Harry potter kind of not really.. Music taste: ANYTHING LITERALLY ANYTHING IM IN THE MOOD FOR I WAS ABLE TO LISTEN TO A 6 MINUTE SONG ABOUT CORNDOGS PERFECTLY FINE IDK HOW. I have bad hyperfixations when I comes to music genres so these are my tops, Emo claimed bands, female manipulator music, pop punk and some hardcore bands, I don't have any at the top of my head, but I was able to listen to black metal, death metal, parody songs the electro swing remix was fire! I can get down to taylor swift and baby shark, I can listen to drill, rap, phonk, songs in spanish or even swedish. country, folk idc. My playlists due to my recent revamp, Are more fixated on ariana grande, sabrina carpenter, mitski, lana, and very few taylor swift, I like alternative music too, I know I'm forgetting so many different genres but those were what I could list off best so keep that in mind. early 2000s-2016 music is top tier fyi. though frank Sinatra is a G oms.

Other random things: I'm all for self improvement and learning more about myself and other topics if I ever magically start liking something you know about by all means info dump, My fav seasons are fall and winter. I'm a winter baby <3 I prefer "cunty" music made by women rather than gay men or trans women (Love y'all too dw.) It just feels more authentic to me if you know what I mean, I can't properly like describe it for some reason but just trust me it's not because I hate that group of people. (I hate everyone equally !!!) I'm a medical NERD, my favorite medical dramas are HOUSE!!! HOUSE I LOVE YOU HOUSE PLS ADOPT ME AND TEACH ME EVERYTHING HE'S THE ICON PLEASE PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE. He's funny and I love his way of thinking. (I just realized we have the same personality type live laugh love that!!) My personality does kind of differ online due to the character limits on tumblr, because if it were up to me every one of these sections would have 5 different paragraphs per thing thank you. I'm an honors student idk if thats shocking to anyone but yea. This also probably will be more shitposting based just random takes from my perspective like reviews on starbucks drinks and just random events. the format is probably going to be more like, diary like idk? its just me posting my thoughts and leaving it out for you all more anonymously if ykwim? I was bullied all of my elementary years over a single unsanitary habit I had. (Picking my nose, like everyone made a point to leave me out due to this. EVERYONE collectively even when i stopped it still happened.) I loved that daydream so much, would've preferred to have a partner ngl.

Zane Callahan, Son of Phil Callahan;

Trigger warnings; Mental health issues, childhood trauma, Implied PTSD, etc.

His full name is Zane Eugene Callahan. 

His dad is Phil Callahan and his parents divorced when he was young.

He was three years old when Steve died and is now twenty. 

He is still in high school however because he missed a lot of school due to multiple suspensions he got for being 'violent' towards other students. 

What nobody with tell you is that he got those suspensions for protecting his friends and that he doesn't regret it no matter how sorry he acts around authority figures. 

He is usually very respectful and obedient but he has no problem doing the opposite when it concerns the safety of his friends and family. 

Due to his obsession with army and government stuff, the upside down crew has grown slightly wary of him but Zane doesn't practically care because he has big plans and will not stop till the people responsible for the whole Upside Down nonsense are held accountable for their actions. He is hellbent on cleaning up the government and won't stop—even when and if it kills him. 

He has a whole 'army brat' aesthetic going on that is due to how strict and overprotective his dad was of him growing up. He had it drilled in his head as a kid that if he loves somebody then he has to protect them and do what's best for them, and not leave if he can help it (he was raised not to make the same mistakes his dad did with his uncle). 

Zane resembles his Uncle Steve quite a bit despite having short black hair and has been called Steve by his dad (on a couple of occasions) and by his granddad the only time he ever met him.

He has very vague memories of Steve that he isn't very sure are real since he only met him a few times before he died. 

He loves country and classical music, and tolerates everything else.

Zane also loves puzzles. 

He is good at fighting and knows how to use quite a few things as weapons that are not weapons.

He also knows how to use a lot of actual weapons because he is a fast learner. 

And don't tell his dad but he also knows how to pick locks and hot wire a car due to seeing someone in the party due both on several occasions after forgetting the keys to their van.

On a completely unrelated note, he has a crush on Lyra Munson but it too shy to ask her out. 

Out of his cousins, he is the closest to Stewart because they're both perceived as the 'obedient but forgettable' Harrington kids. 

He likes camping, fishing, hunting, woodshop, bird watching, and puzzles. 

He is in Rotc at school. 

Zane also knows every law in every state by heart and has found a loop hole in several of them for 'research purposes'.

Oh and he has a police radio that he uses to listen in on the Hawkins P.D radio frequency that his dad doesn't know about. 

He loves dry humor and uses it (as well as subtle insults) often. 

He is not as innocent as people tend to think him to be. 

He is very stubborn and protective as well as stern when he needs to be, often coming off as cold and uncaring to those who don't know him well. 

Zane is also a total gossip and has black mail on everyone he is very willing to release if he is pushed enough. 

He lives with his dad. 

He is fast on his feet and a quick learner.

He is also very good at playing dumb and sniffing out fake friends as well as danger. It has saved his and his friends and cousins' asses on more than one occasion. 

His favorite colors are green and brown. 

He has a police tape backpack.

Also he and Stephanie may or may not share a love of explosives but if you ask or point this out, he will deny it.

Also Zane has just barely managed to escape getting arrested on more than one occasion—the adults in his life are oblivious to this. 

Devansh is his best friend. 

Devansh is also how he found out about the upside down—because his powers developed when he was around Zane and then Kali had to explain it to both of them before they told the others.

He is good at getting away with things because people assume he’s the good one who ‘behaves rank and file’ when in reality he’s just good at hiding how he actually is—which the other Next Gen kids find really funny and really unfair at the same time.

Zane's protective streak and semi-serious nature really drives his friends and cousins nuts sometimes.

Note:

These headcanons take place in my Stranger Things au 'Cats in the Cradle'. In that au, Tommy and Carol are left to raise Steve's four infant children with the help of the Upside Down Crew, Steve's half brother, Steve's younger cousin, and their collective families.  In that au, Jason and Eddie live.  Max is less seriously injured.  Phil Callahan is Steve's older half brother. And Chrissy, her brother, and Fred Benson were Steve's cousins.  Oh and Steve hooked up with one of his pre-nancy girlfriends and after his death she found herself pregnant with quads that Steve never got to meet. Hope that clears up any confusion regarding these ocs and headcanons.

not sure which option on your poll this is BUT

i think oscar was agnes' final viable pregnancy. i think she'd had multiple children already (boys and girls) who were still living when oscar was born, as well as a handful of stillbirths/miscarriages. i think oscar would've been small and frail at birth, sickly and fussy during infancy, prone to colic etc, and they'd have sort of written him off as a lost cause who they'd inevitably end up burying. i think the other kids were all victims of one of those olden days illnesses (like sweating sickness and so on) that were super infectious and wiped out whole families regardless of class etc. pathetic little oscar was the sole survivor and agnes simultaneously worried over him 24/7 AND held him at arm's length due to grief (a "if i don't love him it'll hurt less when he dies too" sort of thing). i think she probably had a few pregnancies after him but none of them made it to term. i think mr van rhijn would have had a very loud opinion about that and her failure to provide him with children (other than a weak skinny excuse for a son). i also think he would've made a lot of remarks/comments about oscar and his perceived lack of masculinity, and oscar would've absorbed them all.

Secondly, that's a very good question, and more complicated than one would think, which is why I'm going a bit into detail (long ramble warning)!

Pronoun switches for characters are not the easiest things to handle in narratives. Some readers will say that I didn't achieve it in the Saint MILF villain series - I got feedback that the pronoun changes got too confusing for them and felt like too much. So before you go into it, stay aware that your audience is heterogenous. What is crystal clear or even too on the nose for some is completely incomprehensible or confusing for others, and not only concerning pronoun switches but concerning practically everything. I've been a professional author for some 10 years now, have published 4 novels (none of them in English, sry) and one constant fact about reception is how wide-ranged it is. So making a text comprehensible and easy to read but not platitudinous is not something absolute. Rather, you toe a line you yourself have drawn in the sand because you speculate that most of your readers need exactly so many context clues to follow you. Speaking from experience, it doesn't always work out, either in one direction or the other.

But that being said, let's dive in: cohesion in fiction is always a matter of context clues and assumptions. On the one hand, you don't want to repeat Loki does this, Loki does that, but even with just two characters with the same unchanging gender in one room, a pronoun can become ambiguous.

This is why many authors use synonyms like "the trickster", "the raven-haired god", "the taller man" and so on. They want to clarify who they mean but want to avoid repeating the name because it was drilled into us at school that repetition is bad in written texts.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of "the brunette" and other such descriptors and try to use that tool sparingly. This has reasons I won't go into right now (but will if you ask me to). If in doubt, I'd rather repeat the name a bit too often than write "the blonde". Nicknames are a bit of an exception - those I like to use a lot, also because they tell us something about the person that's using them.

However, the plethora of "brunettes", "blue-eyed men" and so on tells us that pronouns and narrative cohesion have a troubled relationship, even when nobody switches their gender.

Other ways you can establish who is meant with a pronoun, especially when someone switches genders:

* establish the character with the name once and then use the pronouns until a different character acts. Use the name again when it switches back

* more difficult and not as straightforward: suggest with actions, the character's emotions, their knowledge, their reactions etc who it is

* Establishing a clear perspective and not changing it for a while helps a lot. As readers, we then expect introspective things (thoughts, emotions) from the pov character, and perceived things (looking from the outside at someone) from everyone else (fe "Loki had always thought that they were very humorous, they were called a mischief god after all, but Sif apparently didn't agree with them. Or at least she didn't laugh." )

* the language a person uses can be a very good indicator of whose perspective we're following (fe "Thor had always been an arrogant oaf, but always so very protective of them when it suited them the least, and now the mortal knew so too" )

* explicitly acknowledging a pronoun switch by the pov (fe "That was the first time in years that Loki thought of herself as female") is a way of telling the reader that the switch is no accident and serves a narrative purpose. Often, the acknowledgement is also useful to tell the reader what the person thinks of their own fluidity. Then you can make the pov character acknowledge the second switch too, maybe with less emphasis, and the third time you might already dare switch without comment.

* in the MILF villain series I started with very few switches between binary genders and then made the switches more numerous later on and introduced "they". That way the reader can slowly accommodate themselves with it. It also helps to have longer passages with one pronoun.

* eliminate other sources of confusion: a pronoun switch will be better accepted once a place and the characters are already established and in a scene that is not too full of action. It's easier for the reader to follow the switch in this case than if the scene is already confusing, takes place somewhere new and with a lot of new characters.

Generally, readers like when information is paced and they have time to digest one thing before the next is introduced. But that's its own narrative science.

* reread and edit: often, we only detect the confusing passages when we reread the text. Or you might find out that at a certain scene, you can do with fewer clues. Either way, it's immensely helpful

* adapt your writing to the "difficulty" of the narrative situation. If three persons interact who all use "she" pronouns, then you will need more clues as to who you are referring than when three persons with three different pronouns are interacting.

For the same reason, it's immensely more difficult to handle two gender switching characters interacting in a scene than one gender switching character and several others that don't switch.

* mix and match: usually, a mix of several tricks gets you further than sticking to just one strategy.

* finally: let someone beta read it if that's possible - especially when it comes to avoiding confusion and making a text comprehensible, a different set of eyes is wonderful to have. I almost always have a beta and they see a lot of stuff I don't (this text f. E. is unbeta'd and that shows).

I Was a Teenage Exocolonist - Playthrough 2 Military run Romance: Vace Ending: Disabled the Array

This time: there were no days spent communing with the soil, with the planet, with each other; no warm cuddles beneath coloured skies; no seeking to understand or nurture.

When we were younger, we filled our time with laughter and games. But as we grew older, there were less smiles. Less friends. Days were filled with exhaustion as we ran drill, after drill, after drill, after drill. The only games we played now were mind games and ones of war.

The skies lit up with fire and the air echoed with the crack of discharged weapons. Total destruction of all perceived threats to make space for ourselves was the agenda. No talk, no compromise. Aliens were a threat, and so was anyone who failed to support our mission: human lives, human futures, human supremacy.

Waaaaaaaaahhhh. I recently completed my 2nd playthrough of Exocolonist and DAMN. What. An. TIME. I wanted to have an experience that was very different from my 1st playthrough to experience Vertumna + the Exocolonist story and characters in very different ways. This run certainly delivered.

It was a really difficult run for me because it meant shunning the very characters that I fell so deeply in love with last time (like my best boys *sob*), making decisions that felt horrendous to me, and cozying up to Vace who does a great job of making himself highly unlikeable. I made a joke post about hooking up with Vace after finding out his augment, but real talk: I found romancing Vace very difficult even though I got his soft ending. I think that he is a well-written character who has an interesting friendship/romance arc, but I think I love my boys too much for Vace to ever be redeemable in my eyes. It was also hard not being with Cal and Rex :'(

I discovered so much through this run though in terms of different sides to characters I felt like I already knew quite well and how other character relationships develop when you don't romance them, what happens when you're not friends with certain characters (yea I'm looking at you Dys) versus others (like Vace), access to regions I didn't have before (like Subaqueous Swamps) and the story options that gives you! I did also find out that if you get a "story ending" (like disabling the array) you don't get the character montage like you do otherwise, and so felt a little disappointed my ending was like "this is what happens, Vace continues to become a bit less of an asshole, you love him more each day. The end". Like... excuse me, I wanna know more about my spacehusband and our kids, what happened to Nem, etc.

Each playthrough, each life builds towards my understanding of the world and the game. Who we are, where we came from, where we find ourselves, who we make ourselves to be, who we are allowed to be. It gives me so much to think about in relation to futures, human/non-human relations, time/space, morals, worlds, colonisation, extraction, identity, and so much more. I'm excited to keep running through time and uncovering all that there is to find (I also want all the start menu characters and achievementsssssss). My next playthrough I wanted to focus on a high charisma/governor run with a Rex romance bc I need Best Boy to heal my soul once again.
