u blocked my main like a month ago n i’m not totally sure why,,, stumbled across u again on my nsfw just now, can i follow,,,?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ the main reason I block is if you're a blog with like- a ton of what I consider stolen porn. If I hopped onto your blog and one of the first thing I see is a bunch of uncredited porn gifs, pics, etc, I tend to block on sight because it shows a lack of awareness of consent and a disrespect for the creators and sex workers who made it.
...Or you could be the chick I blocked for tagging my shit 'Cw Men' and stating in her bio that she thinks of men in porn as women or nonbinary people to make her feel better about it. I really have no way to know. If you want to drop your username in my inbox I can always see if my judgement has changed

twisting is they might be giants' most spiteful-sounding song and I love it so much. the dial-a-song demo's opening lyrics of "she says there's a place in brooklyn for bitchin' and for moanin', and when they built that place, she said they saw you comin'" should've stayed in, because they just make it funnier.
with linnell's vocals backing up flansburgh's lead, it has the petty tone of a pair of teenagers/young adults goading somebody with the backdrop of interpersonal conflict as its theme, like oh ya sure she totally wants to see you....hanged HA psycheeee. gottem.
I have 2 ways of interpreting it when I listen; being from the view of someone facing a gutting reality check by reflecting on their past encounters with a new perspective that there's people who don't want to stay in their life, or being on the more cathartic side of the narrator saying their piece. either way, it's wonderfully mean-spirited.

My usual D&D group started a bi-weekly Masks campaign in between our 5e sessions a while back. I am a sucker for angsty teenage super heroes, as is most of the rest of our group, it would seem.
My character used the Outsider playbook, which is essentially the one alien teenager who's on Earth for some reason and is constantly fascinated with humans and their culture. Think M'gann M'orzz, Starfire, or Aximili.
Like two of those examples, B'aax-tet comes from a planet of shapeshifters, but his species isn't actually biological in nature. The Arkon are a collective hivemind of sentient nanomachine swarms, with each swarm taking on a mind and personality unto itself while also being connected to the greater Arkon mainframe.
Hailing from the Omnimenagerie, a planet-sized biological ark storing the genetic and biological material of every biological species in the galaxy, the Arkon see themselves as interstellar ecological wardens. They collect and catalogue lifeforms, preserving species otherwise doomed to extinction aboard in the endless wildlife sanctuary of their home. In many cases, Arkons act as planetary protectors, intervening to repel unnatural threats to planetary biospheres, such things as extraplanetary invasive species, foreign diseases, or mass industrialization by sapient cultures. They are, TL;DR, essentially interstellar park rangers.
Baxter (as his friends know him) is an apprentice warden, and was sent to the planet Earth to research its biosphere and animal life. However, in the course of his covert research, Ba'ax-tet took an interest in some of Earth's dominant lifeforms, their fascinating forms, their strange habits, their complete mastery of their environment. Ba'ax-tet was so enthralled, he took on their form and blended in with the local populations, learning everything he could about the lives of the fascinating lifeforms. I am, of course, referring to cats.
Honestly, what is it with aliens always going crazy over humans?? They have so many other options to choose from on this planet, so I figured, hey, why not a techno-organic shapeshifting extraterrestrial super cat?

My GM was... hesitant to approve of this character concept, but he eventually came around. Kinda like when your dad says he doesn't want a cat, but you get a cat anyway and suddenly he's just smitten with the damn thing? Kinda like that.

" The best part about being a cat is the hunt of course. the lonely saunter beneath the brush. the tearing and howling opera as life comes to its end by the shine of fangs. ripping out and dragging along the guts when you play with the remnants . . . I do love wolves and ravens, but this soul . . . it is truly more versed to the feline, is it not? "
