Just Dance songs I think the drama kids would kill
Bear in mind, I haven’t really played Just Dance in years - we lost the disc while moving house, still have the case - so I just kinda looked up songs on YouTube or went off what I remember dancing along to.
Mainly for my very dear friend and mutual @onyx-plutos-moon. By all means please correct me or add to this, I crave your expertise! <3
Solos
Kevin: Bad Romance by Lady Gaga (extreme) as suggested by Onyx - rewatched it and he is absolutely right, this is the type of thing Kevin pulls out with some kinda “I’m a little rusty, I don’t think I remember this one” comment first and then flawlessly executes the entire thing - or Butter by BTS (extreme)
Caitlyn: Primadonna by Marina & the Diamonds or Applause by Lady Gaga (either normal or extreme) or Circus by Britney Spears (extreme)
Josie: Love You Like a Love Song by Selena Gomez or Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) by ABBA
Trevor: Rasputin by Boney M or Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley - he’s not sorry
Duos
Kevin and Josie: You’re the One That I Want from Grease or Want to Want Me by Jason Derulo (couple version) - again suggested by Onyx, can’t imagine how Josie manages to twirl him because he’s almost 7’0 but good luck to her
Kevin and Caitlyn: Timber by Pitbull ft. Kesha or Worth It by Fifth Harmony (mashup) or Cake By the Ocean by DNCE (earphones version) - they definitely do this with actual earphones and get tangled up at some point
Kevin and Trevor: 24K Magic by Bruno Mars or Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas
Josie and Caitlyn: SOS by ABBA or California Gurls by Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg
Josie and Trevor: September by Earth, Wind & Fire or Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
Caitlyn and Trevor: Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen or C’mon by Kesha
Group
I couldn’t pick so have all the ones that came to mind:
Time Warp from Rocky Horror Picture Show
Mamma Mia by ABBA
This is Halloween from The Nightmare Before Christmas
Crucified by Army of Lovers
Random headcanons
If they finish rehearsals early, Miss Mulberry lets them put on YouTube videos of the dances
Trev once did Rasputin and caught the attention of Pete and Grace, as they help out with the show and were around. Needless to say, dancing was quickly replaced with a history lesson/why the song is inaccurate and why women in history deserve to have their stories told
They now refuse to play until everyone who isn’t them has left the building, so there can be no interruptions
They, and by they I mean Caitlyn, wouldn’t let Ruth play if lives depended on it
Miss Mulberry also once made the mistake in saying it could be a competition and the winner could have a piece of candy from her prize box
There was so many fights that day…
All of them had at least one game of Just Dance growing up, except Caitlyn - she only ever played it at school or at friends’ houses
Josie had Just Dance 4; Kevin has all of the main series; and Trevor has 2014, 2017 and 2020
Kev is insanely competitive and a sore winner/loser, meanwhile everyone else is just playing to have fun and dance
He’s also a huge show off
Kev and Cait have a favourite kind of song and it’s anything that flatters their egos
They’re very, very confident in themselves and we love to see that #self love
Rudolph is god awful at dancing, so he doesn’t join in but will happily support Trevor from the sidelines
Brooke, however, is an exceptional dancer but has never really played/learned the dances for the games
She eggs on Kevin’s competitive ass for fun and chaos
Josie literally only knows a handful of non-musical songs. 9.8 times out of 10 she is going into these completely blind and expecting herself to pick up the melody, the choreography and the lyrics first try
Trev loses at least one shoe every time they play. There’s one stuck in the catwalk above the school auditorium, they haven’t been able to get it down so it’s still there
Cait thinks the guide is just a suggestion
Half of her additional or replacement choreography is just hair work
Josie thinks she needs to fully preform every time. She’ll sing along, give herself a character, maybe some dialogue if there’s an instrumental part of the song
Has definitely fainted upon burning up so much energy subsequently
It’s to the point now that the others can almost spot when she’s about to go. Kev picks her up so fucking gently and sits her down
The others happily perform with her
Kev almost exclusively does all the expert dances when playing solo
Josie’s siblings had Just Dance when she was younger, but she rarely got to play. Too busy having to care for them and the house. (And when she did, she never got a controller, so has no idea how good or bad she is). The songs on there are all really nostalgic and great tunes in general but can also be traumatic and tinged with bitterness
Josie’s just there sobbing while Call You Maybe plays
Trev only started doing Never Gonna Give You Up to rickroll the others but actually fell in love with the dance and is genuinely just wanting to play it all the time
Regular fights about what colour controller everyone is
Yes, they are that family
“We are that family in the neighbourhood that like, you wanna keep a wide berth when you walk past. Like, that’s this whole crew!”
“We’re the family, where if you’re in a car and they’re playing in the street, you speed up.”

#okay. so. the problem. with independent contract work?#is that. if everything is overwhelming. I can’t just. show up. do a job. and leave knowing I'll still be paid.#Nope. with this work? If I can’t make any money because I’m paralysed by being overwhelmed? Welp that’s All My Fault^TM#if I can’t make myself go find the clients and ask them very nicely for money?? then I get nothing!!#and that ~*must*~ mean that I ~*~*do not want it badly enough*~*~ /s#look. with independent contractor work it takes a lot of extra work just for the *opportunity* to make money#whereas with my normal regular job (THAT MY BOSS STILL WANTS ME TO HAVE BY THE WAY) I can just. show up.#make sure I do enough. and go home knowing that I’ll still make enough money to at least afford my rent. even if I can’t give it 110%#But now I can't. & so. you know what I was doing this month?#I started it by *barely* being able to afford rent (which I would not have been able to do without the help of some very kind people)#(so HUGE shoutout to the people who helped me out! in these quiet tags)#& then I nearly ran out of groceries. I’ve been rationing everything I have in the house & going to the food bank#I even went on the local buy nothing group and basically begged for people’s expired food#and I’ve also had to try to figure out how to pass an insurance exam on 14 days worth of honestly *terrible* information#(and I SOMEHOW passed despite the course NOT EVEN COVERING certain information that was on the exam!!)#and when I passed the exam they sent me a contract that basically says ‘yay congrats now you have the right to work (by yourself) for us!#‘no guarantee you’ll be paid tho! if you want money you’re gonna have to fucking EARN it yourself bitch! good luck!’#and I got a tutoring job that’s basically the same idea. the contract is like ‘congratulations you can now use our resources!#But if you don’t put in extra work (that you won’t be compensated for) looking for people to ask for money then you can’t have any!’#Like. I'm sorry. I used up all my ‘begging people for resources’ energy asking for people’s expired groceries#and I feel like maybe half of people only gave me groceries because they think I’m from Ukraine#which makes me feel a SPECIAL KIND OF WRETCHED (like I’m stealing groceries from people who need them more!!)#I’ve spent this whole month hungry lonely overwhelmed and just generally terrified#I have to constantly fight SO hard not to lay down on the floor and just give up#the only thing I feel motivated to do is draw art because at least that’s making me feel connected to others & like what I do matters#I did finish my goals for the day and that’s good. so I don’t want to say I feel guilty for making art. because I don’t!!#But there's a pretty loud voice in my head that's saying 'well if you have energy to make art. you should have energy to go get clients!'#You know what little voice in my head? you can FUCK RIGHT OFF because making art is very low effort comparatively#you know what's *not* low-effort? working really hard for the *potential* to earn & then not being guaranteed it'll even get you anywhere#& moving into the last two weeks of a month. where you have loan payments & rent due soon & no money. & no energy to go earn it.

sometimes the whole “stop having q***r discourse and focus on fighting for your rights instead/we’re all oppressed” thing reads to me like another way to tell gay people to shut up and stop defining and defending ourselves
#you can’t fight for the rights of a group if you don’t know who that group includes#same sex marriage and medical transition of minors have fuck all to do with each other#anti discrimination laws against gnc ppl do not need to include the abolition of female only spaces

my players don’t know it yet but the adventure we’re doing rn is me being silly goofy bc they hadn’t made their characters in time for me to plan around them. now that I Know Things the game can really start
#we’re at probably the halfway point of a mystery thing which is about to leave the mystery phase#one more session of them figuring out Most of the Things and getting to do some investigating#and then I’ll throw them at a heist they don’t get to plan#I’m seeding a few things for them to follow when we move on bc this is self contained and I’m gonna sit down with them for worldbuilding#bc I wanna make sure we’re playing smth fun they all get to choose#man dnd is fun but it’s Hard. I was shitting it abt pulling off a mystery and they’ve been really into the start-middle but#now I need to make the end satisfying and that’s not easy#we’re playing tomorrow night and that’s terrifying bc I like. vaguely know what’s gotta happen and the direction they’re headed but#the end last session was very open bc we were running late on combat which makes it hard to plan for#sidenote but in a group which isn’t the biggest fan of combat. was incredibly surprised when the guy who asked for more of it was the one#finding the way out of it. like I’d planned a fun encounter for them early bc I knew the later one would be simpler (WAS NOT) and instead#he locks them up and threatens them with fire. which like. sounds on brand and it is BUT I WAS EXPECTING HIM TO PUNCH THEM#so glad they didn’t take the bait bc it would’ve killed them the EASY encounter I’d planned ALMOST KILLED THEM#I did learn that the trick to keeping it interesting is always having more than one thing happening. it can’t just be a fight#there’s gotta be another equally/more important thing than killing this dude. keep the stakes high and make choices more important#and I guess actually possible to make a choice by introducing an option other than Fucking Kill This Dude#which reminds me I do have to figure out something else interesting in the woods. damnit I thought they’d only be there once OH HOLY FUCK I#I HAVE AN IDEA >>>>>>>:) I love you random questions players ask that I gotta bullshit for that turn into surprise tool to help us later#that solves two problems in one go but might make this game even longer. that’s probably fine I was worried abt session 4 running short#but yEAH they have backstories now. I can build a whole game around one of them this could be so fun if we keep it going#improvising is also significantly easier than I expected once I get into it as long as I have a framework for how this works and a directio#last session my planning happened in the 30 minutes before I left + the 30 minute walk to get there and it worked great <3#no immediate problems but a number of surprise tools to help us later that I knew I’d figure out eventually#all the pieces are there now we just gotta put them in the right place. so excited for tomorrow#dnd tag#luke.txt

pls pls pls 🥹 older bf! gojo fucking the attitude out of his gf

𝝑𝑒 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒. satoru picks you up after your lecture to spend quality time with you, only to realise you got an attitude that needs some fixing.
tags. dom older bf!gojo x female reader. smut, pwp but also with plot. age gap (reader early 20’s, satoru early 30’s). rough. hints of degradation. p in v -> unprotected. standing doggy. semi-public. spanking. hair pulling. name calling. creampīe. nicknames ‘princess, baby’. wc: 3.2k
“mind telling me who that was, baby?” satoru asks while he fixes his sunglasses. he pushes his hair back a little, walking beside you through campus. you had just finished your study session with a boy who’s in your statistics class. your lovely boyfriend offered to pick you up and take you back home after that.
though, despite the kind gesture, you’re still visibly stressed after revising the material. your mind is occupied with all sorts of stuff you need to know before your exam on thursday.
“just a classmate,” you respond curtly, not even looking at satoru. you’re speeding ahead of him, wanting to rush home already. you nibble on your bottom lip and your brows are furrowed due to the distress, “why do you care?”
that sentence came out harsher than you had expected it to. you don’t mean to be bitchy, but you’re under too much stress at the moment. your body reacts before you can withstand it.
satoru is silent for a few seconds. he’s surprised by the tone of voice you used. he keeps on following you, however, not letting your little comment ruin the conversation. he’s there to help you, not to make you even more upset.
which is why he tries to lighten the mood.
“oh?” satoru chuckles, his dimples showing. he easily keeps up with you, his long legs carrying him around quite fast. the white haired man pushes a strand of your hair behind your ear ever so gently, “did someone upset my little princess today?”
you don’t answer him. you’re focused on your phone, hurriedly texting your friend back while speeding past all the other students. you don’t even notice how the girls are gawking at your man—whispering about how handsome he is and who he might be.
satoru doesn’t pay them any mind. his sole goal is to gain your attention back. he frowns after his question is met with silence. the clicking of his dress shoes increases as he tries to get you to stop and face him.
“c’mon,” your boyfriend sighs and stands in front of you, stopping you to an abrupt halt. he holds your wrist tenderly yet firmly, letting you know that he wants to properly communicate with you, “y’ can’t ignore me.”
you yank your hand back, your irritated attitude visible in your actions. you look up at satoru, not caring about what he thinks or wants at the moment. you just want to go home and relax. everything is overstimulating you.
“i can and i will,” you huff before stepping aside to continue your journey out of the university’s terrain. your boyfriend’s frown only deepens. you’re not the only one who’s currently getting agitated. you push past a group of students who stood in your way, “let’s just go home.”
satoru’s eyes narrow. he doesn’t get upset fast—he rarely feels any kind of anger—but right now he can feel something itching inside of his chest. he’s tried not to let the jealousy get the best of him at first, but now with all the other emotions coming into play, it’s nearly impossible to hold himself back.
satoru considers himself a fairly mature man. he’s always been one, yet when it comes to you he can’t help but feel like he doesn’t have any control over his emotions. his body and mind act on their own.
“aht aht. not so fast, little lady.”
you suddenly feel yourself being dragged to the side. satoru’s grip around your arm isn’t harsh, but it sure is enough to make you stumble along with him. you click your teeth in slight annoyance after the initial shock settles in. you know there’s no fighting it; you don’t want others to witness your little squabble.
“hey, where are we going?” you ask, a slight whine leaving your throat. you simply want to go lay in your bed and avoid everything and everyone else. your eyes are focused on the back of satoru’s head as he guides you along. he doesn’t bother to face nor answer you.
you sigh and simply allow yourself to be dragged away. if you’re going to get a scolding, you don’t mind. you’re just going to hear him out and nod along so you can go back home faster.
you raise an eyebrow when satoru arrives at the bathroom on the second floor. “what the—” you’re confused as to what your boyfriend is trying to achieve. you quickly look around to see if anyone has seen you.
no one seems to be close. this part of the building has always been empty around this time frame anyway.
you’re pulled into the men’s bathroom after satoru made sure that the coast was clear. he gently pushes you into an empty stall and locks the door. “satoru, what’s up with you?” you sigh as you stumble back against the bathroom wall. it’s a hypocritical comment considering your own nasty attitude.
you try to push him aside, only for your boyfriend to force your arms around his neck, pulling you flush against him. your eyes lock into his and that’s when you notice how . . dark they are. the usual playful look is nowhere to be found.
“i’m just thinkin’ that y’r attitude needs some fixing, hm?” satoru whispers. a ghost of a smirk appears on his face—it’s a twisted one. wicked, with the thoughts of what he’ll do to punish you for your actions. he rarely has that expression when he’s with you.
he tips your chin up with quite some force, “i can help with that.”
everything else happens at a blink of an eye. one of satoru’s large hands slithers up your back to tangle in your hair and yank it back, exposing the column of your throat for his hickeys to take shape on. his other hand swiftly makes work of your pants and undergarments.
his jaw is clenched—the usual hint of gentle love in his eyes is replaced by lust fuelled by jealousy and frustration. satoru is not playing around either. instead of taking his time like he usually does when it comes to intimacy, he’s quick to discard both your clothing.
“fuckin’ tease,” the white-haired man mutters under his breath, panting with desire. he zips down his pants and frees his big cock from his boxers. “always pushing my buttons. isn’t that right, baby?”
satoru lets out a breathy, mocking chuckle. he fists the shaft slowly while his blue eyes roam over your body caged against him and the wall, “but i guess tha’s part of the reason why i love you—hah.”
you’re basically in shock at the sudden switch. your jaw is slack and your eyes are wide, but there’s an undeniable feeling in your chest that tells you you’re loving this change. you can’t deny the fact that you’re turned on. extremely turned on.
“‘toru, i don’t think it’s smart to do this here,” you murmur in a small voice. you’re trying to have some dignity, even now, when your panties are soaked and the scent of your obvious arousal is driving your man crazy.
“don’t care,” satoru shakes his head with a smug grin. his long fingers hook around the waistband of your underwear before flimsily tugging them down to your ankles. his eyes darken the second he sees the webs of sticky, translucent slick clinging from your panties to your puffy folds.
he grunts, his cock twitching painfully in his hand. he’s thinking of simply jerking off to the sight of you in front of him, but he decided otherwise. satoru smacks your clit with his fat tip, “should’ve thought about that before catchin’ an attitude with me.”
suddenly, he turns you around so you’re facing the wall. your nails dig into the flat surface of the tiles, catching onto nothing. you’re hoping that no one will walk into the bathroom. last thing you need is everyone knowing that you were getting your back blown out by your boyfriend on campus.
not that satoru would mind those rumors. it’d only fuel his (already) huge ego.
“oh, yeah— shit. you need this ‘s much as i do,” satoru groans as sinks his cock into your pussy, agonisingly slow, inch by inch. you shudder and hold in your moans as your velvety walls make part for him.
his hands spread your pert asscheeks, smacking the full globes before kneading them to soothe the pain. he continues in a low, dangerous voice, “you wouldn’t be so stuck up if y’ didn’t need this fuckin’ dick to shut you up.”
satoru doesn’t stop pushing in until his heavy balls are resting snugly against your bottom, warming his sack full of cum that’s aching to be released in your dripping cunt.
“ngh, ‘toru,” you bite your lip and try not to orgasm just from the feeling of being full— so full of cock that it makes you see stars, “just like that.”
the white-haired man responds with a satisfied grunt, sweat forming on his forehead from how hot and wet it is inside of you.
“oh, there she is,” satoru coos once he hears your whiny voice, that sweet voice he cherishes and loves. it isn’t cold nor avoidant anymore like before and that’s really all he wanted to acquire. he licks a stripe from the tip of your ear to the lobe, voice husky, “there’s the girlfriend i know. moan some more f’ me.”
you shiver as satoru’s lips connect with the back of your neck. after wetting the skin with his saliva, he bites. not hard enough to draw blood, but hard enough to leave a mark. you clamp around his dick in response and he curses under his breath.
“please, fuck me,” you breathe. you need more stimulation, need him to absolutely ruin you. the shallow and slow thrusts he’s giving are nothing but torturous.
satoru grins and rests his chin on top of your shoulder, large hands rubbing around your hips and lower abdomen, teasing your clit every now and then to get you even more pent up.
“fuck you?” he tilts his head, as if contemplating. he clicks his tongue and gives your ass a firm slap that nearly sends you over the edge. “hah, you should be grateful for what i’m givin’ you.”
but satoru’s weak for you. even if he’s trying to be the ‘mean’ and ‘cold’ dominant guy. his cock is aching to plunge in and out of your wet hole, to see you come undone and feel your juices coat his balls and thighs.
“fine. i’ll fuck you,” satoru relents with a roll of his eyes, acting like he isn’t desperate for you too. he grips your hips in a bruising manner and bites your shoulder, “—fuck you like the brat you are.”
your hands save your face from making contact with the wall as your body suddenly jostles back and forth in a speed you can’t even process.
“satoru!” you nearly scream his name out of pure surprise. the pleasure comes crashing down in waves, your pussy uncontrollably spasming around his girthy cock.
satoru grumbles something incoherent as he pistons his hips, ramming in your sloppy cunt while his eyes are fixated on your bouncing ass. white locks of hair stick to his forehead as he splits you open on his dick.
“so pretty,” the older man sighs. he turns your head sideways so you can look him in the eyes while he fucks you silly. he caresses your cheek gently, a contrast to the mocking grin on his lips and the rough thrusts against your ass, “too bad y’ got such a potty mouth on you.”
satoru pushes his index and middle finger between your lips to muffle your noises, “…but don’t worry, i’ll fix that for you. gladly.”
you eagerly suck on them between quick gasps of air, saliva trickling down his hand. your boyfriend redoubles his efforts, the fat tip of his dick hitting that special spot deep inside you.
his free hand reaches down to circle your clit. the double stimulation sends you into a state of pure bliss. your pupils are dilated as you struggle to find satoru’s gaze, head lolling back and forth with each powerful stroke.
perhaps this really was all you needed to help destress and forget all about your responsibilities. it feels good to not think about anything at all— your head empty except for the feeling of your cunt being filled.
satoru’s cock twitches inside of you with the urge to release a load in your womb. “give me it, please,” your voice is muffled as you plead with him. your hand sneaks downwards, trying to find his balls, “w-want your cum.”
your fingers toy with his sack once you find it. his pre-cum and your own juices now coat your skin as well, your hand enclosing around his balls, massaging them. it’s like you’re trying to coax his potent semen out of them and that alone makes satoru throw his head back in ecstasy.
“little cumslut. . .” satoru growls, brows furrowing as he tries not to shoot his cum inside of your greedy cunt right that second. the hand that was keeping you quiet quickly snatches your wrist and pins it against the bathroom wall.
“are you that desperate to get filled? yeah?” your boyfriend huffs, not stopping to catch his breath at all. his hips pound faster against your ass with renewed passion.
your lips are parted and they move, but not a single answer comes out of your mouth. you’re unable to think or talk because of the pleasure.
satoru takes that as a yes. the erotic sight of you being so lost in sin is enough to fuel his desire to fuck you harder. his hips never falter as he scoffs at your pathetic self, “tch, so addicted to my cock y’ can’t even answer me.”
you shake your head and search for your words. however, you fail, and all that you’re capable of communicating is what you need, “fuuuuck, yes i am—‘toru, need your cock ‘n cum— more.”
satoru lets go of your wrist to grab your jaw. he forces your head back again before he captures your lips in a bruising kiss. his tongue plunders inside your mouth, exploring every inch.
he pulls back to gasp for air and releases your jaw with a slight shove to grab your hips again. “more? hah,” the white-haired man lets out a haughty chuckle. he gives a particular hard thrust against your butt, tip kissing your cervix painfully yet deliciously, “y’ think you deserve more after that shit you pulled?”
satoru yanks your head back by your hair. the stinging sensation makes your scalp itchy, but it also increases your pleasure. he lowers his lips to your ear, his voice dangerously low, “nah, you gotta make this work.”
you could. you can make it work and that’s the truth. he could fuck you with just his tip and you’d be able to cum a couple times in a row.
jolts of pleasure run down your spine as satoru drives into you harder, the force of his thrusts rocking your entire body. you’re seeing stars and the words roll off your tongue, “please, mhh, almost there!”
satoru groans. he can feel the delicious fluttering of your cunt around his cock, the telltale signs of an orgasm building. he has half a mind to pull out completely and let you writhe and beg him some more.
he contemplates it for a few seconds. the second your eyes start to roll back, signaling your impending climax, his cock slips out of your pussy. you whine and push your hips back in search for his dick- to fill the void he left.
satoru jerks himself off at the pitiful sight. he rubs his veiny shaft between your slick folds before slapping the tip against your cunt, letting it catch onto your entrance for a few times.
“begging like that isn’t going to get you anywhere. y’ can do better,” your boyfriend encourages in a sultry tone. one of his hands rest on your tummy, fingers splaying over your clothed skin. another filthy smack of his tip against your slit makes you shiver, “come on.”
you bite your lip out of frustration. you arch your back each time the fat head of his cock catches onto your gaping hole, hoping to slip it in, but you can't. you tilt your head back and lock eyes with satoru close up behind you.
“please let me cum, 'toru. i'll be good, i promise,” you beg with a lewd pleading expression. one that make satoru's balls tighten with the urge to cum as well.
with a low groan, satoru snaps his hips forward, burying his dick inside of you once more, “there ya go. good girl, knew y’ had it in you.”
the praise and familiar feeling of his dick stretching you open is enough to push you over the edge. you nearly black out as your cunt spasms around him, your juices gushing out to coat his length and balls.
satoru grits his teeth once he feels your tight cunt clench viciously around his throbbing cock. your orgasm has a domino effect on your lover, causing him to hastily chase his own release. “shit! take it, princess. take it all inside this greedy fuckin' cunt,” he hisses and grinds his pelvis against the fat of your ass.
satoru buries himself to the hilt before his cock jerks and pulses, emptying his balls deep inside of you. his fingers dig into the meat of your butt, holding you in place as he grinds against you, making sure every last drop of his seed is nestled into your waiting womb.
“there y’ go, mhm—taking my load so deep,” your lover sighs and lowers his head, resting against your back. he hugs you tightly to his chest while you both catch your breath. he rides out his orgasm slowly, still grinding against you while he leaves lazy kisses on your nape.
a minute passes before you've regained your composure, somewhat. you smile as satoru kisses your temple lovingly, praising you for taking him so well. the switch back to his usual gentleman personality is much needed after such an intense moment.
“thank you, babe. i needed that,” you giggle as you rest back against his chest. thick, pearly globs of cum escape your pussy, dripping around his cock and onto your thighs, but neither of you could care less. the clean up is a problem for later.
satoru chuckles back at you as he leaves another loving kiss against your cheek. “i knew you did,” he murmurs and pets your head, “my poor girl has been working so hard on her assignments, hm? poor, poor baby.”
you playfully roll your eyes at the overexaggerated concern in your lover's voice, however you appreciate it.
satoru doesn't bother to pull out. first things first; he needs to get you all comfortable again and give you the aftercare you deserve. his hands massage your hips as he nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck, acting all lovey-dovey like he hasn't just shown you a more dominant side of him.
“how ‘bout we go home and order some food? we can cuddle and watch a movie together, ‘kay? i’ll take care of you, princess.”

So I’ve been enjoying the Disney vs. DeSantis memes as much as anyone, but like. I do feel like a lot of people who had normal childhoods are missing some context to all this.
I was raised in the Bible Belt in a fairly fundie environment. My parents were reasonably cool about some things, compared to the rest of my family, but they certainly had their issues. But they did let me watch Disney movies, which turned out to be a point of major contention between them and my other relatives.
See, I think some people think this weird fight between Disney and fundies is new. It is very not new. I know that Disney’s attempts at inclusion in their media have been the source of a lot of mockery, but what a lot of people don’t understand is that as far as actual company policy goes, Disney has actually been an industry leader for queer rights. They’ve had policies assuring equal healthcare and partner benefits for queer employees since the early 90s.
I’m not sure how many people reading this right now remember the early 90s, but that was very much not industry standard. It was a big deal when Disney announced that non-married queer partners would be getting the same benefits as the married heterosexual ones.
Like — it went further than just saying that any unmarried partners would be eligible for spousal benefits. It straight-up said that non-same-sex partners would still need to be married to receive spousal benefits, but because same-sex partners couldn’t do that, proof that they lived together as an established couple would be enough.
In other words, it put long-term same-sex partners on a higher level than opposite-sex partners who just weren’t married yet. It put them on the exact same level as heterosexual married partners.
They weren’t the first company ever to do this, but they were super early. And they were certainly the first mainstream “family-friendly” company to do it.
Conservatives lost their damn minds.
Protests, boycotts, sermons, the whole nine yards. I can’t tell you how many books about the evils of Disney my grandmother tried to get my parents to read when I was a kid.
When we later moved to Florida, I realized just how many queer people work at Disney — because historically speaking, it’s been a company that has guaranteed them safety, non-discrimination, and equal rights. That’s when I became aware of their unofficial “Gay Days” and how Christians would show up from all over the country to protest them every year. Apparently my grandmother had been upset about these days for years, but my parents had just kind of ignored her.
Out of curiosity, I ended up reading one of the books my grandmother kept leaving at our house. And friends — it’s amazing how similar that (terrible, poorly written) rhetoric was to what people are saying these days. Disney hires gay pedophiles who want to abuse your children. Disney is trying to normalize Satanism in our beautiful, Christian America.
Just tons of conspiracy theories in there that ranged from “a few bad things happened that weren’t actually Disney’s fault, but they did happen” to “Pocahontas is an evil movie, not because it distorts history and misrepresents indigenous life, but because it might teach children respect for nature. Which, as we all know, would cause them all to become Wiccans who believe in climate change.”
Like — please, take it from someone who knows. This weird fight between fundies and Disney is not new. This is not Disney’s first (gay) rodeo. These people have always believed that Disney is full of evil gays who are trying to groom and sexually abuse children.
The main difference now is that these beliefs are becoming mainstream. It’s not just conservative pastors who are talking about this. It’s not just church groups showing up to boycott Gay Day. Disney is starting to (reluctantly) say the quiet part out loud, and so are the Republicans. Disney is publicly supporting queer rights and announcing company-supported queer events and the Republican Party is publicly calling them pedophiles and enacting politically driven revenge.
This is important, because while this fight has always been important in the history of queer rights, it is now being magnified. The precedent that a fight like this could set is staggering. For better or for worse, we live in a corporation-driven country. I don’t like it any more than you do, and I’m not about to defend most of Disney’s business practices. But we do live in a nation where rights are largely tied to corporate approval, and the fact that we might be entering an age where even the most powerful corporations in the country are being banned from speaking out in favor of rights for marginalized people… that’s genuinely scary.
Like… I’ll just ask you this. Where do you think we’d be now, in 2023, if Disney had been prevented from promising its employees equal benefits in 1994? That was almost thirty years ago, and look how far things have come. When I looked up news articles for this post from that era, even then journalists, activists, and fundie church leaders were all talking about how a company of Disney’s prominence throwing their weight behind this movement could lead to the normalization of equal protections in this country.
The idea of it scared and thrilled people in equal parts even then. It still scares and thrills them now.
I keep seeing people say “I need them both to lose!” and I get it, I do. Disney has for sure done a lot of shit over the years. But I am begging you as a queer exvangelical to understand that no. You need Disney to win. You need Disney to wipe the fucking floor with these people.
Right now, this isn’t just a fight between a giant corporation and Ron DeSantis. This is a fight about the right of corporations to support marginalized groups. It’s a fight that ensures that companies like Disney still can offer benefits that a discriminatory government does not provide. It ensures that businesses much smaller than Disney can support activism.
Hell, it ensures that you can support activism.
The fight between weird Christian conspiracy theorists and Disney is not new, because the fight to prevent any tiny victory for marginalized groups is not new. The fight against the normalization of othered groups is not new.
That’s what they’re most afraid of. That each incremental victory will start to make marginalized groups feel safer, that each incremental victory will start to turn the tide of public opinion, that each incremental victory will eventually lead to sweeping law reform.
They’re afraid that they won’t be able to legally discriminate against us anymore.
So guys! Please. This fight, while hilarious, is also so fucking important. I am begging you to understand how old this fight is. These people always play the long game. They did it with Roe and they’re doing it with Disney.
We have! To keep! Pushing back!

so anyway I was thinking about something about bitchy!Kook!reader (since she's my ultimate favorite)
maybe rafe has gifted her a promise ring at some point in their relationship, and despite all their highs and lows, even in their worst nights, she has NEVER taken it off
and maybe they are in a heated argument and they're mad at each other (but not broken up, just mad) and they are attending a party and he notices that she isn't wearing it, so he loses his absolute shit and drags her somewhere, making a scene and telling her how much he cares about her (in his own way, ofc) and how hurt he is until she simply smirks and tells him that she's taken it off because she's getting it cleaned up

“can you fix your face? ‘at least try to act like you want to be here with me right now?” rafe whispered in your ear, a slight pinch of irritation lacing his tone. you swallowed thickly, flashing him a glare as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders so he wouldn’t draw any unnecessary attention towards you two. “i told you i wanted to leave a long time ago and instead of wrapping things up, you disappeared for another drink. i’ve been sitting here on this couch with you for over two hours now, listening to your idiot friends talk about their latest escapades. how about you fix your fucking face?”
rafe looked around to make sure no one caught any of the words that just left your mouth, his jaw clenching as he gripped you by the back of your neck. “is that how you’re gonna act right now? that’s what we’re doing?” at this, you trailed a hand down rafe’s stomach, your nails digging into his flesh hard enough to make him hiss and let go of you. “grab me like that again and i’ll leave your ass in front of everybody.” rafe knew that wasn’t an empty threat, considering you’ve already done it before and topper still hasn’t let him live the embarrassment down.
rafe gave you a curt nod, his eyes raking down your form before they rested on your bare fingers. “what the fuck?” he spoke out loud, the group conversation coming to a halt. without another word, rafe got up, dragging you along with him as he guided you two outside to his truck. “oh, now you wanna go home?” you scoffed, managing to pull away from him before he hoisted you into the passenger’s seat, his body wedged between the door as he took ahold of your hands. “i know we’ve been fighting a lot recently, and i’m sure we get on each other’s nerves all the time, but taking off your ring? are you fucking serious?”
your eyebrows knitted in confusion, your mouth barely opening before rafe started going on a rampage. “i bought you that ring to uphold a promise to you, y/n, and i’ve kept it. through all of our bullshit, through all of our problems, through damn near everything; you’ve never taken that ring off. even when we were close to leaving each other once and for all, you were still wearing it. that ring saved us, and now? you’re just giving up like that?” rafe sounded pained, his voice dropping slightly as his chest rose and fell in uneven breaths. “rafe—” you tried to interject again, but still he continued.
“i love you, and i know i fucking suck at showing it, but you know i do. you’re the only person who puts up with my shit and still loves me as i am. you work with me even though i make it really hard, and you don’t throw my mistakes in my face every chance you get. you’re patient with me when i least deserve it.. i could go on and on about everything you do for me.. please just put your ring back on.” you weren’t expecting rafe to pour his heart out to you, your anger from earlier dissipating into nothing as your gaze softened. “i can’t—” rafe groaned, kneeling down onto the step bar of the truck as he held your hands to his chest.
“why?!” you couldn’t help but laugh, your resolve crumbling as rafe looked up at you desperately. “what’s so funny? i’m literally about to have a panic attack right now.” you laughed harder, shaking your head. “rafe, i’m getting my ring cleaned! i’ve been trying to tell you since you dragged me out here but you kept interrupting me.” your boyfriend let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding, his shoulders falling in relief. “when did you take it?” you helped him off his knees, rolling your eyes as he pulled you into his embrace. “remember, i told you i was going to the mall with chanel? i dropped it off there and i’m supposed to go back for it tomorrow..”
rafe nodded, his hands running up and down your back. “well, we better get you another ring for when you’re getting the other one cleaned. i can’t have you giving me heart attacks like that.”

i am not the only one who saw that, right?
masterlist
summary: your friends find out that you secretly dating their enemy, but their opinion might completely change when they see Rafe from another point of view
words count: 2.2k
warnings: secret relationship, pogue!reader, attempted assault, mention of blood, soft and protective Rafe
a/n: inbox is open for requests💘

“You cannot be dating Rafe fucking Cameron, Y/N!” John B exclaimed, burying his hands in his hair and walking all around the place.
“No, seriously, this is not a good idea.” Sarah looked at you, giving out a nervous laugh.
You were currently surrounded by your friends, who were all practically yelling at you after they accidentally saw a message from Rafe on your phone. You were one of the pogues; you never hanged out around the kooks, but somehow, when you were visiting Sarah a few months ago, you got into a random conversation with Rafe, and since that moment, the connection between you two has only gotten stronger.
It was an instant click and as much as you both tried to deny the spark, it was there. As you started going out, secretly from everyone, of course, you decided to keep it private until the right time.
“Alright, guys, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I knew that this would be your reaction. It just happened, okay?” You rubbed the bridge of your nose, already feeling a headache from the tense situation. All of your friends were standing on the opposite side of you and it felt like they were just attacking you.
“What were you thinking? You know that he hates people like us, like you. We are pogues, Y/N. How the hell did that even happen?” Kiara was standing with her hands on her hips, as her piercing eyes were studying you. You felt awful looking at Pope, who was the one who always supported you, but he just shook his head and stepped away.
“I don’t know. It just happened. We talked once when Sarah left, then I accidentally met him a few times in town, and then he texted me. He’s not bad when you know him closer.” You sighed. “Look, I know Rafe was a lot of trouble for us. He did bad things; I know that. But he’s not like that; he’s sweet and caring, and he has never shown any sign of being disrespectful towards me. I just can’t deny my feelings for him.”
“Honey, Rafe is not a good person. He doesn’t care about anything or anyone; he’s evil, selfish and manipulative.” Sarah stepped closer to you, touching your hand. “He’ll play with you, hurt your feelings and just throw you away.”
“And he probably just wants to get into your pants.” JJ grumbled, also taking a defensive position.
“I haven't even slept with him yet, JJ!” You desperately snapped at him. It felt ridiculous, like all of them turned against you at the same time. Sure, Rafe wasn’t the sweetest person to them before, but they didn’t even give you a chance to say something in your defense. “And you’re wrong too, Sarah. All of Rafe’s actions were just to get people’s attention and appreciation. All it took for me to get on his soft side was to just listen to him and give him some affection. Other people didn’t care enough, including you and your father. He needs someone who he can trust and open up to because he’s hurt.”
“No, Y/N. If you think that he loves you, then he just got into your head. My brother doesn’t love anyone. It will end badly; I just know that.”
Tears gathered in your eyes, and a lump in your throat made it difficult to say anything back, so you just stupidly stayed there. You had no strength to fight with all five of them at the same time. You turned around, silently getting back in the car, even though your head was filled with doubt and dark thoughts because of their words.
For the next few days, it was tough for all of you. You and the rest of the group were still close, and even though they were completely against your relationship, you still met and hung out. The pit in your heart was still there, no matter how hard you tried to act nonchalant and not let their words get into your head.
Rafe noticed the change in your behavior—that you were upset with something—but he didn’t put any pressure on you and allowed you to decide for yourself when you wanted to open up.
Pogues decided to go to some party on the cut near the beach and as much as you tried to refuse, Sarah and Kiara managed to drag you there. You all rarely went to such places, preferring to hang out in your little circle, but apparently everyone wanted to clear their heads and saw it as the best opportunity.
It was pretty fun with a bunch of people you did not know, some music, and drinks, and you mostly hung out with your friends. Though quickly it got overwhelming and made you want to go home or at least go outside of the house to get some fresh air. As you left your friends and wanted out from the backyard to a part of the beach, you didn’t notice the guy who had been eyeing you the whole evening.
He came out of nowhere from your back, his arms wrapped around your waist, lifting you off the ground. You yelled at the sudden and unwanted touch, and your heart seemed to drop into your stomach when you realised that it wasn’t just a joke from JJ, who liked to scare you. You started wiggling in his hands to get free, but he was fighting you back, dragging you up when you fell to your knees on the ground.
It was such a mess trying to scratch and punch him that you almost did not notice his hand coming into contact with your face several times. You screamed again, this time loud enough, until you saw JJ running towards you. The guy behind you pushed you away as soon as he saw someone, and you fell to the ground with a loud huff.
“That fucking bastard!” JJ was right near you, helping you to get up as tears streamed down your face. He tried to comfort you, checking your body for any injuries, but you pushed his hands away, wrapping your own around yourself in a defensive way.
“Oh my god, Y/N!” You heard Kiara, along with your other friends, calling your name. “What the hell happened?”
“H-he attacked me.” You sniffed, trying to catch your breath and, with shaking hands, reaching to the pocket of your jeans shorts to get out your phone. All of them looked at each other, questioning your actions, until you pressed someone’s contact button and put the phone to your ear. “Can y-you pick me up, p-please?” You sniffed again, now trembling from the adrenaline.
“Baby? Are you crying? Where are you?” You heard your boyfriend’s concerned voice through the phone, feeling how JJ tensed beside you.
“I’m on the cut. Near the beach. There’s a party and... Please, Rafe.”
“I’m coming, angel. Just wait for me, ‘kay?” You heard the sound of the car engine at the other end of the line. Rafe didn’t ask any more questions, and as soon as you mumbled quiet 'mhm’ he ended the call.
You all heard him before you saw him. The sound of the tires drifting through the sandy street was loud, drawing attention to the expensive car that was unusual to see at this part of the island.
Rafe didn’t bother to properly park, turn off the engine or even close the door when he saw you sitting on some old chaise lounge, with his sister and Kie trying to talk to you and your other friends arguing nearby.
The girls stepped away from you as soon as they saw Rafe running towards you with a furious expression on his face and ready to deal with anyone who made you cry. It looked like he didn’t even care about the pogues, with whom he always had to get into arguments; he was fully focused on your shivering form.
“Baby, what’s wrong? What happened?” He squatted down in front of you, and you started sobbing again. Your hands immediately found their place around his neck, and, before he could even properly look at your face, you pulled him closer to get some sense of comfort from his warmth and smell. Rafe hugged you back, soothingly rubbing your back. His eyes shot towards your friends, who were watching in awe at the interaction. “Which one of you did that?”
“It’s not us, you idiot. Some guy jumped her when she walked outside.” Sarah said, rolling her eyes at her brother. “JJ heard screaming, and when we walked outside, he ran away.” Rafe pulled away, finally taking in your appearance.
Your knees were covered in dried blood mixed with the sand. He gently took your hands to see the palms scratched from you trying to catch yourself before hitting the ground. Rafe’s eyes were burning with fury, showing his side that he rarely revealed in front of you. His hand reached to move your hair from your face, noticing a red, now already turning purplish, bruise covering the side of your cheek.
“Holy shit, sweetheart.” He softly brushed his fingertips along your cheek and you leaned into the touch, closing your eyes. Your bottom lip started quivering and you bit inside your cheek to calm yourself down. “Sh-h im here, okay? You’re safe. Did you see him? What did he look like? Just tell me and I’ll deal with it.” He almost begged, but you only shook your head. JJ suddenly stepped closer, slightly hesitating to actually normally communicate with his longtime enemy, but he thought that it was the least that he could do for you.
As much as he hated The Kooks King, JJ knew that Rafe was the best option to find the guy who hurt you.
“Tall, with dark and curly hair. Never seen him before, probably someone new on the island, but I’ll recognize him.” They looked at each other for a moment, and Rafe just simply nodded, turning his attention back to you.
“I’ll find him, ‘kay? I promise I will.” He gently took both of your hands in his, bringing them to his lips to place a soft kiss on your knuckles. “We should go now. I need to take care of your knees and that bruise, baby. You don’t mind going to Tanneyhill, yeah?”
“Thank you, Rafe.” You whispered, slightly bending forward to ask for a kiss. Rafe smiled at you, his thumbs gently swiped the leftovers of the tears under your eyes, and then he kissed you on your forehead, nose, and gently pecked your lips.
Your heart flattered at his soft touches and for a second, it felt like you two were in your own little bubble. Rafe's eyes shimmered slightly in the moonlight, and the way he looked at you, soft and caring, made you want to kiss him again and again. You suddenly snapped out of the trance, looking back at your friends, who all had different levels of shock and uncertainty written on their faces.
“C’mon, pretty girl.” Rafe stood up, lifting you in bridal style without an effort, carefully not to hurt your bleeding knees. He almost walked away, but then sighed, turning back to look at his sister. “You coming home with us or somethin’?”
“Um, no, I’ll be with John B. It seems like I would be third wheeling with you anyway.” She shrugged, not being able to keep a smile when you two met with your eyes.
Rafe then looked at JJ, thinking his words over. “I appreciate it, Maybank.”
They exchanged a tight nod, both slightly shocked that for the first time ever, they communicated without biting each other's heads off. You leaned closer to Rafe, comfortably nestling in his protective hands, and looked at your friends, who were still too shocked to say anything.
“I’ll see you guys later, okay?
Everyone agreed, saying goodbye to you and asking you to text them when you get there safely. They saw how Rafe made sure to slowly put you into the passenger seat, then circled the car and drove away. An awkward silence fell around them, everyone at a loss for words.
“Okay, so I am not the only one who saw that, right?” Pope spoke first, looking around the place as if he were trying to find something. “Rafe freaking Cameron just was acting cute and didn’t threaten to do something to us?” His own body physically shrugged at the word ‘cute’.
“I don’t know, dude. We all just probably drank something and it’s messing with our heads.”

JEALOUSY - SUHYEOK

pairing: lee suhyeok x bottom male reader
synopsis: Fighting zombies is one thing; fighting off your secret boyfriend’s jealousy while your friend crushes on you? Pure chaos.
content warnings: 18+, semi-public sex, anal, voyuerism (?), zombies.
word count: 1.2k
A/N: give me more AOUAD reqs yall!!
The classroom buzzed with a strange energy, an odd mix of fear and camaraderie. Despite the ever-present moans and thuds of the undead outside, the boys managed to find ways to distract themselves from the grim reality. The latest distraction? Wujin’s endless monologue.
"You know," Wujin began, leaning back against the wall with the confidence of someone who definitely thought they were the main character, "if we survive this apocalypse—and I mean if—I’m taking Y/N out for a fancy dinner. Like, steak, dessert, the whole deal."
The group burst into laughter. Dae-su nearly choked on his biscuit, while Cheong-san shook his head with a grin.
"Bro, you can’t even afford steak," Cheong-san teased. "Your wallet’s emptier than the cafeteria right now."
"First of all," Wujin retorted, holding up a finger, "rude. Second of all, Y/N is worth it. He’s got that whole ‘strong and silent’ vibe going on, you know? Like, the kind of guy who could carry you bridal style through a horde of zombies and still look cool doing it."
More laughter erupted, and even you—sitting across the room sorting through supplies—couldn’t help but crack a smile. Wujin was nothing if not persistent.
"You’ve got it bad, huh?" Dae-su said, nudging Wujin with his elbow.
Wujin sighed dramatically, clutching his chest like he’d been shot. "Of course I do! Have you seen him? He’s like... the human equivalent of a survival handbook. Practical, reliable, and ridiculously good-looking. If I had a chance, I wouldn’t just shoot my shot—I’d cannonball into it."
Suhyeok, who’d been leaning against the wall a few feet away, stayed silent. He twirled a metal pipe in his hands, his expression unreadable.
"Y/N’s great and all," Cheong-san said, throwing a glance in your direction. "But don’t you think you’re being a little dramatic?"
"Me? Dramatic?" Wujin gasped, mock-offended. "It’s not dramatic to acknowledge greatness when you see it. He’s a ten out of ten."
The group burst into laughter again, but Suhyeok barely reacted. He simply shrugged, his voice calm as he said, "Yeah, Y/N’s cool."
Wujin grinned, turning to him. "Right? I mean, come on, Suhyeok, even you’ve gotta admit he’s a catch."
Suhyeok gave a nonchalant hum, his tone light. "Sure. He’s a good guy." His fingers tightened on the pipe for just a moment before he set it down, his movements smooth.
The conversation drifted to other topics, but Suhyeok’s mind stayed stuck on Wujin’s words. The casual teasing and compliments shouldn’t have bothered him, but they did.
He glanced at you across the room, the corner of his mouth twitching up as you focused on organizing the supplies. You were completely oblivious to Wujin’s crush—and to Suhyeok’s growing jealousy.

Later that night, the group settled down, some asleep while others kept watch. You slipped away with Suhyeok under the guise of checking the rooftop, craving a moment of peace.
As you leaned against the railing, the cool night air brushing against your skin, you sighed. "You know, Wujin’s been talking about me all day. He’s funny, but man, he really doesn’t stop."
Suhyeok leaned beside you, his jaw tightening slightly. "Yeah, he’s got a lot to say."
You chuckled, completely missing the edge in his tone. "He’s harmless, though. Honestly, it’s kind of sweet. I think he—"
Before you could finish, Suhyeok turned and kissed you, cutting you off mid-sentence. The force of it pushed you back against the railing, his hands gripping your waist firmly. The kiss was intense, almost desperate, as if he’d been holding back all day and finally snapped.
You froze for a moment before kissing him back, your hands clutching at his jacket. When he finally pulled back, his lips red and slightly swollen, you were left breathless.
"What the hell was that for?" you asked, your voice low and shaky.
Suhyeok’s eyes locked onto yours, his expression unreadable. "You really don’t know, do you?"
"Know what?" you asked, genuinely confused.
He smirked, brushing his thumb along your jaw. "You’re mine, Y/N. I don’t care who else thinks they have a shot—you’re mine."
The words sent a shiver down your spine. "Wait… is this about Wujin? You’re jealous?"
Suhyeok didn’t answer. Instead, he kissed you again, rougher this time, his hands sliding up your back as he pulled you closer. The kiss grew sloppier, your breaths mingling as his lips moved down to your neck. You couldn’t help but let out a quiet gasp as he nipped at your skin, his grip on you tightening.
Your hands moved to his shoulders, as he trailed down to your pants, pulling them down with a firm tug, making you gasp with surprise.
“Here? What if someone–” he interrupted you with another searing kiss as he tugge your boxers down too, leaving your lower half bare.
Out of nowhere, he pulled out a small packet of lube (magician I tell you), and ripped it open with his teeth. You simply stared at him wide-eyed, wondering where the damn thing came from. Suhyeok merely smirked, and poured the cold liquid onto his fingers, watching it run down to his palms.
He gently turned you around and prodded one lubed finger against your ass, slowly inserting it, with you covering your mouth. He then added one after the other– and soon, three fingers were steadily pumping in and out of you.
Your back arched, pushing forward into the wall in front of you– hands digging into the paint, coming off with flecks in your nails.
Deeming you to be prepped enough, Suhyeok removed his fingers and replaced them with his erection, his pants hanging low at his ankles.
He pressed the tip in– followed by the rest of his length, until he fully bottomed out inside of you. He groaned at how your hole was clenching tightly around his cock– feeling every twitch and pulse.
“Gonna move now baby,” he uttered before pulling out all the way before slamming back in. You moaned at the feeling– almost forgetting that the zombies or your friends could hear you at any moment.
Suhyeok turned you around to face him– having an almost death grip on your waist. One of your hands tightly clutched his shoulder, while the other covered your mouth so that you wouldn’t let out any noises.
He buried his face in the crook of your neck, groaning with almost every single thrust. You felt so fucking good around his cock.
"Suhyeok," you managed to say, your voice barely above a whisper. "Someone could walk in."
As if on cue, the rooftop door creaked open.
Both of you turned, startled, to see Wujin standing there, his face a mix of shock and horror.
"I—I was just—" Wujin stammered, his eyes darting between you and Suhyeok. "You know what? Nope. Didn’t see anything. Carry on."
Before either of you could say a word, Wujin spun around and bolted, the door slamming shut behind him.
You groaned, running a hand through your hair. "Great. This is exactly what I needed."
Suhyeok laughed softly, still thrusting gently inside of you, "Guess we don’t have to keep it a secret anymore."
"Yeah, and now I get to deal with Wujin thinking I’m a jerk."
"He’ll get over it," Suhyeok said, pulling you closer. "And if not, who cares? You’re mine, Y/N. That’s all that matters."
You sighed, leaning into him despite yourself. "You’re impossible, you know that?"
"And you love it," he teased, pressing a kiss to your temple, before pulling out and slamming back in again with full force– making you let out an almost pornographic moan in surprise.
It was going to be a long night.

Ghosts of Us
trafalgar law x reader
You have the ability to see ghosts and see Corazon’s lingering spirit around Law. As truths are revealed and tensions rise, Corazon’s meddling leads to unexpected confessions.
words count: 2.2k
tags: angst, d3ath, romance
masterlist // ko-fi
You adjust your grip on your weapon and glance over at him. Law’s eyes are focused, his sword slicing cleanly through anyone in his path. But even in the thick of battle, you can’t help but notice it again—the tall, ghostly figure that’s always by his side.
Corazon.
He’s there, just like he’s been since the day you ate the Shinrei Shinrei no Mi, the Devil Fruit that lets you see the spirits tethered to people. At first, you thought it was a curse. Seeing the dead wasn’t a burden you wanted to carry, but over time, you learned to live with it—especially when Corazon revealed who he was.
“You’re just going to stare at me all day?” Corazon teases, tilting his head with a lopsided grin.
“No” you mumble under your breath, though no one else can hear him.
“What was that?” Law snaps, turning to glare at you as he blocks an enemy’s attack with a flick of his blade.
“Nothing” you say quickly, brushing past him to take down another enemy.
Corazon chuckles beside you “You’re bad at lying.”
You groan inwardly but don’t respond. Law’s already suspicious, and the last thing you need is for him to start questioning you in the middle of a fight.
As the skirmish drags on, you find yourself cornered by a group of Doflamingo’s men. Law is too far to help, and for a moment, panic sets in.
“I’ve got you” Corazon says softly.
Before you can react, his power activates—a sphere of silence spreading out around you. The enemies freeze, disoriented by the sudden lack of sound. You take advantage of their confusion, cutting them down one by one.
But the moment Law notices the shift, his Room disappears, and his piercing gaze locks onto you.
“That wasn’t you” he says, his tone sharp as he strides toward you.
You freeze, your stomach twisting into knots. “What are you talking about?”
“That was his power,” Law snaps, his voice laced with anger. “How the hell do you know about Corazon?”
You glance to the side, where Corazon stands silently, his usual humor replaced with a rare seriousness. “I can explain” you say, your voice shaking.
“Then do it” Law says, his expression cold and unforgiving.
You take a deep breath. “I… I ate a Devil Fruit. It lets me see ghosts—the spirits tied to people. Corazon’s been with you this whole time.”
For a moment, Law just stares at you, his disbelief written across his face. Then his fists clench at his sides.
“That’s not funny” he says, his voice low and dangerous.
“I’m not joking” you insist. “I’ve been able to see him for years. He’s the one who just protected me.”
Law takes a step closer, his golden eyes blazing with anger and something else—grief. “If you’re lying…”
“I’m not!” you snap, your frustration boiling over. “Do you think I wanted this? Do you think I wanted to see the dead every day? To carry their pain?”
His jaw tightens, but he doesn’t respond.
Corazon steps forward then, his expression soft as he looks at Law. “Tell him I’m here” he says quietly.
You hesitate, then swallow hard. “He says… he’s here. He’s standing right beside you.”
Law’s breath catches, his eyes flickering with something you can’t quite place. He doesn’t speak, but the tension in his shoulders seems to ease just slightly.
After the battle, you and Law sit in silence, the weight of everything that happened hanging heavy between you. Corazon, however, is anything but quiet.
“He’s always so serious” Corazon says, crouching beside you with a playful grin. “You should tell him to lighten up.”
You glare at him “I’m not saying that.”
“What are you talking about?” Law asks, his brow furrowing as he looks at you.
“Nothing” you say quickly, but Corazon isn’t done.
“Tell him I said he should stop being so dramatic,” Corazon adds, his grin widening. “And that he should stop pretending he doesn’t like you.”
Your face turns bright red. “I’m not saying that!”
Law’s frown deepens. “Saying what?”
You bury your face in your hands. “Nothing, nothing at all.”
Corazon leans closer to you, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “You know, he really does like you. He’s just terrible at showing it.”
“Stop it” you hiss, your voice muffled by your hands.
Law looks at you like you’ve lost your mind. “Who the hell are you talking to?”
“No one!” you say quickly, but the heat in your cheeks betrays you.
Corazon laughs, his voice filled with warmth. “You’re adorable when you’re flustered. No wonder he likes you.”
You groan, wishing more than anything that you could disappear. But as embarrassing as it is, you can’t help but feel a small spark of warmth at Corazon’s words.
When you finally glance at Law, he’s staring at you, his expression unreadable. “You’re weird” he says flatly, but there’s a faint hint of pink on his cheeks.
“Yeah, well, so are you” you mutter, looking away.
And somewhere in the ether, Corazon’s laughter echoes, his ghostly form beaming with approval.
The air between you and Law has been unbearably awkward since your last conversation. He keeps his distance, his sharp gaze following you every so often, but he doesn’t approach. You’ve done the same—avoiding him at every opportunity. It’s easier to let things settle than to risk making things worse.
But Corazon doesn’t agree.
“Enough sulking!” Corazon’s voice rings out, making you jump. He’s been pestering you for days, appearing beside you at the most inconvenient moments. Like now, as you’re trying to enjoy a quiet moment at the edge of the Straw Hats’ camp. “You need to talk to him.”
You groan, dragging a hand down your face. “We already talked. And it didn’t exactly go great.”
“That wasn’t talking” Corazon argues, crouching in front of you. “That was tiptoeing around what really matters. He needs to hear the truth.”
“The truth about what?” you snap. “That I’ve been chatting with his dead father figure? Or that I’ve been carrying this stupid crush on him while he barely tolerates me?”
Corazon shakes his head, his expression softening “ugh I told you he likes you. But even though I was actually talking about the truth…why I did what I did.”
That gives you pause. You glance at him, frowning “Why do you want him to hear that?”
“Because he doesn’t understand” Corazon says quietly, his tone losing its usual humour “he’s still carrying that day with him like a weight he’ll never shake. He doesn’t know why I smiled before I died. He doesn’t know I made peace with it because I believed in him.”
Your chest tightens, guilt twisting in your stomach. “He didn’t even believe me when I told him about my power, so why me? Why do I have to be the one to tell him?”
“Because you’re the only one here who can see and hear me?? Also because I know he’ll actually listen to you” Corazon says, his smile faint but sincere. “Whether he realises it or not, he trusts you. More than anyone else.”
You glance toward the campfire, where Law is sitting apart from the others, his head bowed as he reviews a medical book. He looks as calm and composed as ever, but you know better.
“Fine” you mutter, standing up. “But if this goes horribly wrong, I’m blaming you.”
Approaching Law feels like walking into enemy territory. His eyes flick up to meet yours as you step closer, his expression guarded but curious.
“Do you need something?” he asks, his tone neutral.
You swallow hard, glancing over your shoulder to find Corazon standing a few feet away, giving you an encouraging nod.
“I… need to talk to you” you say, forcing the words out.
Law closes his book, leaning back against the log he’s sitting on “About what?”
You hesitate, your heart hammering in your chest “About Corazon.”
Law’s jaw tightens, his gaze darkening. “I thought we were done with this.”
“We’re not” you say firmly, surprising even yourself “There’s something you need to know…something he wanted me to tell you.”
Law doesn’t respond, but he doesn’t tell you to leave either. Taking that as permission, you sit down a few feet away from him, your fingers fidgeting nervously.
“He told me why he did it” you begin, your voice trembling “why he smiled before he died. He said it was because he believed in you.”
Law stiffens, his hands curling into fists.
“He knew what would happen if he stayed” you continue, your throat tightening “but he stayed anyway because he wanted to protect you. Because he believed you could change the world.”
Law’s gaze drops to the ground, his shoulders tense. “He shouldn’t have had to die for me.”
“It wasn’t just for you” you say softly “it was for everything you stand for. He saw the man you could become, and he knew it was worth it.”
The silence stretches between you, heavy and suffocating. When Law finally speaks, his voice is quiet, almost broken. “He was like a father to me. And I couldn’t save him.”
You reach out hesitantly, your hand hovering near his arm before you pull it back. “You did save him, Law. You gave him something to fight for. And he’s still here. Watching over you.”
Law’s head snaps up, his eyes narrowing. “What do you mean, ‘he’s still here’?”
You freeze, realising you’ve said too much. Corazon, of course, looks delighted.
“Go on” Corazon says, grinning “Tell him I’m standing right behind him.”
“I, uh…” You fumble for words, glancing nervously at Corazon. “I can see him. I know you didn’t believe me earlier when I said this but it’s true, that’s part of my Devil Fruit power. I can see ghosts.”
Law stares at you, his expression unreadable. “And you’ve been talking to him this whole time?”
You nod, your hands twisting in your lap “He’s… been helping me. And he wanted me to tell you all of this because he thought you needed to hear it.”
Law doesn’t say anything, his gaze distant as he processes your words.
Corazon, never one to let a serious moment linger too long, claps his hands together “Well, now that that’s out of the way, let’s move on to more important matters!”
You shoot him a warning glare “Don’t you dare.”
“Dare what?” Law asks, frowning at your sudden shift in tone.
“She’s in love with you” Corazon announces, his grin widening.
Your heart stops, sometimes forgetting you’re the only one who can hear the ghosts, especially when they’re as consistent as him, “What? No, I’m not!”
Corazon raises an eyebrow. “Oh, really? Then why do you get all flustered whenever he’s around?”
“I do not get flustered!” you hiss, your face burning.
“Who are you talking to now?” Law asks, his patience clearly wearing thin.
“Tell him you think he’s insufferably handsome” Corazon teases, ignoring you completely “Go on, it’ll be good for you.”
You clench your fists, your voice rising in frustration “Can you shut up?”
“Excuse me?” Law says, his tone sharp.
“I wasn’t talking to you!” you snap, then immediately wince. “I mean—ugh, this is all Corazon’s fault!”
Law blinks, his confusion deepening “What are you talking about?”
Corazon leans closer, his grin positively devilish. “Just say it, y/n. Say, ‘Law, I think you’re brilliant and frustrating and…’”
“Fine!” you shout, throwing your hands up “I like you, okay? Is that what you wanted to hear?”
The silence that follows is deafening. You slowly lower your hands, your face burning as you realise what you’ve just said.
Corazon cackles, doubling over with laughter “I didn’t think you’d actually say it! Oh, this is priceless!”
“You… did you just confess to Corazon?” Law asks confused by all that just happened.
You glare at him, mortified and confused as well “what?! NO!!… NO!! I… I was talking to you!” you add pointing at him and then pointing at Corazon “I hate you!!”
Law clears his throat, drawing your attention back to him. He looks… stunned, his eyes wide as he stares at you.
“You… like me?” he asks, his voice hesitant.
“I…” You bury your face in your hands, groaning “Just forget I said anything, okay?”
But Law doesn’t let it go. Instead, he reaches out, his hand brushing against yours. “Hey.”
You peek at him through your fingers, your heart racing.
“I don’t want to forget,” he says quietly “because… I think I like you too.”
Your breath catches, your eyes widening “You do?”
Corazon claps his hands together, grinning like a proud parent “See? I told you it would work out! I know him too well, I knew he liked you back!”
Law glances at the space where Corazon presumably is, his expression exasperated “Leave.”
You laugh, the tension finally breaking. “He’s happy for us.”
“Well, I’m not” Law mutters, though the faint blush on his cheeks says otherwise.
Corazon, ever the instigator, winks at you before disappearing “you’re welcome, lovebirds.”
And for the first time in a long time, the weight on your chest feels just a little lighter.

────── ☾ ──────
“Morning!”
The group at the Gryffindor table turned their heads toward you.
“Morning,” Remus responded, twisting his body to see you standing directly behind him.
“You guys mind if I sit with you?”
“Not at all, gorgeous,” Remus flirted, patting the spot to his right as he took another bite of french toast.
You blushed as you sat down, smiling to everyone else at the table as a greeting.
As you settled in, the group continued the conversation they were having about upcoming exams. Being a year below them, you didn’t have much to offer, and you were growing bored.
You leaned over toward Remus, confidence beaming due to your desire for attention as you whispered, “thank you for yesterday. You were really nice to me.”
Remus turned his attention away from the group as he looked at you, smiling, “of course, but there’s no need to thank me. It was a pleasure.”
His flirtations made you blush. You thought about how funny it was that he had literally fucked you, yet one little comment made your heart putty in his hands.
You were blushy and giggly like a schoolgirl with a crush, completely unable to control yourself. “I’m glad it was a pleasure.”
Remus smiled even wider, catching onto your antics. “I fucked you once and now you’re in a mood, huh?” he teased.
“Maybe.”
Remus looked around the table, who still hadn’t noticed his absence from the conversation, and he took your hand, leaving his seat and subsequently pulling you up to a stand.
“We’ll be back,” Remus said.
“No no no,” James said, “no, that’s not fair.”
“What’s not fair?” Remus asked.
“Mate, you’re the only one here who’s been with her, and it was last night. Keep it in your pants, we’re literally at breakfast,” James pouted.
“Can’t help it when she asks,” Remus smiled.
You blushed even harder, ducking your head behind Remus’s shoulder in embarrassment.
The table gave up on fighting Remus. James turned back around with a sigh and continued eating and chatting, as did everyone at the table except for Sirius, who stayed eyeing you until you were out of view.
Remus pulled you down a few hallways until he found a sufficiently quiet corridor with empty classrooms.
“Remus, what if someone-“
“They never use these classrooms,” Remus said, quietly clicking the door shut, “one too many hexes, I suppose.”
“But-“
“You look so good right now.”
Your protestations died in your throat as Remus walked closer and closer to you. You took a step backward, and your lower back collided into an empty desk.
“Why so quiet all of a sudden?” Remus teased.
“You make me nervous,” you admitted without thinking.
“Yeah? Nervous how?”
“I don’t know.”
“Yeah, you do.”
“I don’t know, like, I just- I keep thinking about yesterday,” you said.
Remus began to lightly run his fingers up the side of your body. “What about it?”
“You know what about.”
“I wanna hear you say it.”
“You’re joking.”
“Nope.”
You took a deep breath. “I keep thinking about how we had sex. Happy?”
“Not quite,” Remus answered, “I wanna know what exactly about us having sex you keep thinking about.”
“I don’t know, you, I guess?”
“Me, hm?”
“Yeah.”
“You know what I keep thinking about?”
You cocked your head to the side.
“You.”
“Me?”
“Mhm,” Remus continued, “you underneath me, to be specific.”
As he spoke, Remus began to slowly pull your skirt up to your waist, causing your breathing to hitch in your throat.
“Well well well, is this all for me?”
Remus ran a finger over your underwear but still between your folds, the wetness already having soaked through the fabric, leaving an evident stain.
“Yes,” you admitted.
Remus removed his hand, instead wrapping his arms around the backs of your legs, causing you to gasp as you jumped upward. Remus moved you backward, and your ass hit the desk behind you. He took residence standing between your legs, which in turn made your skirt stay bunched up at your waist.
“Can I try something?” Remus asked.
“What do you wanna try?” you asked, your breathing heavy in anticipation from Remus’s close proximity.
“You.”
“Me what?”
“I wanna try you.”
You furrowed your brows in confusion. “You already did, we already had sex. I’m confused.”
Remus chuckled. “No, baby, I wanna taste you.”
“Oh.”
“That okay?”
“I don’t really know what that entails, but yeah.”
“You know you can always just tell me to stop, right?” Remus checked.
“Yes.”
Remus nodded at your response and sunk to his knees, looking up at you as he pushed your underwear to the side.
“What if-“
“Don’t be self conscious baby, you’re beautiful,” Remus eased your nerves, and you took a deep breath as you forced your muscles to relax.
Remus stuck his tongue out and tasted between your folds, moving slowly and gentle so as not to overstimulate you too early, and you shuddered at the contact.
Remus maintained eye contact as you watched him move his tongue up and down, tasting your evident wetness. You moaned when he flicked his tongue faster directly on your clit.
Your body jolted, and Remus made a sound of satisfaction as he continued his work on your clit, alternating between flicking you with his tongue and sucking and kissing.
“Fuck,” you sighed.
Remus reached a hand up to grab yours, intertwining your fingers with his to help steady you in a gesture of intimacy that you really appreciated.
You squeezed his hand as you became a whiny, submissive mess.
Remus’s other hand gripped the flesh of your ass that was accessible, pushing you closer to him and increasing the intensity of your pleasure.
You threw your head back, and your hand instinctively went to the back of Remus’s head, lightly pulling the strands of his hair.
You snapped out of your daze for a moment and quickly removed your hand, self conscious about the action made while you were lost in pleasure.
Remus pulled away from you. “Go for it, baby, don’t hold back.”
You knew he was intentionally calling you baby because you mentioned yesterday that you liked it, and the remembrance was only adding to your arousal.
You swallowed your self consciousness and resumed playing with Remus’s hair. He moaned into you at the feeling, clearly happy about it.
“Shit, Rem-“
Remus moved his mouth faster, desperately trying to pull an orgasm from you.
“Rem- Remmy-“
Remus pulled away for a brief moment to say, “feels so good you’re callin me nicknames now, huh?”
“S-sorry,” you stuttered.
“Uh uh, you better keep moaning little nicknames for me like that.”
You simply moaned in response, losing strength to stay sitting up as you began to lightly grind your hips against Remus’s face, so lost in pleasure you didn’t care about being embarrassed anymore.
Remus slapped the outside of your thigh, looking up at you. He decided to test the waters with you. “I said keep moaning my fucking name.”
You liked the dominance. “Yes, Remmy.”
“Good girl,” he praised, reconnecting his mouth to you and still focusing on your clit, deciding to save anything else for another time, as this was your first time doing this, and he wanted to take it slow. He knew not many of the others would.
You threw your head back, anchoring yourself with your hand on Remus’s head as your moans became louder and louder.
Remus let go of your hand and held your waist, now completely gripping your hips as he pushed you as close to him as he could.
Your high was approaching quickly, and your moans were becoming high pitched and weak.
“I’m, it’s- Remmy, I-“
Remus didn’t pull away, but instead looked up at you to watch your face as you came.
You threw your head back instinctively, your chest rapidly rising and falling as your orgasm washed over you.
Remus stayed between your legs to lap up any and all wetness, and only stood when he was satisfied.
You were trying hard to catch your breath, and Remus smiled at you. “Feel good?”
You smiled in return. “Fuck.”
Remus kissed you, and you could taste yourself on his lips.
“I’m not even hungry for breakfast anymore,” Remus joked.
────── ☾ ──────
All you could think about was Remus.
You felt like a woman possessed. You couldn’t focus in lectures because all you could think of was Remus’s head between your legs. How he sounded when he moaned into you. The way he called you baby when he fucked you. The way he runs his fingers through his messy hair. You were enamored, and you were becoming horny much more frequently than you ever imagined.
Even when you were with the group, you stayed attached to Remus. You always sat with your thigh against his, and even sometimes stood holding his arm. You were obsessed, and the group noticed.
You had just joined, and you were already completely infatuated with just one of them, and that concerned the group, so they decided to meet without you, something they rarely did, but found necessary.
“She’s absolutely obsessed with you, mate.”
Remus flicked embers from his cigarette into the ashtray in the center of the courtyard. “I don’t know what to tell you. I like her, if she wants me, I’m not gonna say no. It’s her choice who she wants.”
“Come on, guys, go easy on Y/N,” Lily said, “every girl gets a little obsessed with their first time. It’s the same way I was with James.”
“If that ain’t the truth,” James said, raising his bottle of firewhiskey.
Sirius took the opportunity to stand up and grab the raised bottle, and he downed the remainder of its contents in an instant.
“Someone else needs to fuck her,” Mary chimed in, “simple as that.”
“She’ll get there, why rush her?” Remus defended.
“Oh shut up mate, you just like having someone want you so bad,” James argued.
Remus shrugged before taking another drag of his cigarette, not completely disagreeing with James’s sentiment.
Sirius cleared his throat, and the attention of the room turned to him. In an annoyed tone, he spoke, “someone go and fuck her, then.”
“Why don’t you go find her?” Dorcas suggested to Sirius.
“Maybe I will.”
“No, no, I got this,” James said, standing up and straightening his shirt, “I know my way to the Hufflepuff common room.”
“She’s not in the common room, she’s in potions,” Sirius said.
“What, you know her schedule now?”
Sirius shrugged and rested his elbows on his knees, the wind knocking a few strands of hair in front of his face.
James threw his hands in the air. “I don’t know where the Hufflepuff potions classroom is, what do you want me to do? Fuck.”
“Just find her later. It’s not like she’s gonna fuck you in a classroom anyways,” Dorcas said.
Remus scoffed to himself, not realizing it was loud enough for the group to hear. Everyone’s gaze shot toward him.
“Sorry,” Remus smiled, clearly not sorry at all.
“Oh come on,” James said, throwing his hands up in the air, “I don’t even have a shot.”
“You’ll be fine, mate, just try manhandling her a little,” Remus said casually.
“Yeah?”
“She seemed to like the little bit I did when I tried,” Remus revealed.
By the time classes were over, you were nowhere to be seen. You hadn’t had the need to walk past the courtyard at all, but that didn’t mean James gave up. Instead, he just walked around the Hufflepuff hallways until he saw you.
“Hey Y/N!” he exclaimed when he finally caught your eye.
“Hey, James, what are you doing down here?” you said, approaching the common room door.
“Do you guys get to snatch snacks?” he asked, his inner monologue taking over as he noticed the Hufflepuff common room was extremely close to the kitchens.
“You came down here because you wanted a snack?” you asked, turning to face him.
“I guess you could say that,” he responded.
“What does that mean?”
“Shouldn’t you know now? I mean, I thought Remus took care of teaching you that already,” James smirked.
You blushed and bowed your head briefly. “He’s quick to talk, that one.”
“Why have you been so attached to him?” James asked.
You processed the question before speaking. “I don’t know, I guess I didn’t realize I had been. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, angel, no worries,” James said, stepping closer and closer to you, “I think I can help that.”
“Yeah?” you played along, “how?”
“Follow me and you’ll find out.”
You smiled as you took James’s hand, your other hand holding your books to your chest as you mindlessly followed James’s lead. You watched the muscles in his arm flex as he held onto your hand, and you felt yourself growing excited.
You were becoming attached to Remus, and you knew you had to get that out of your system. Besides, James was hot, and you were now perpetually horny, so why not indulge in a little fun?
────── ☾ ──────
“I am not going in there.”
James sighed. “C’mon, it really isn’t as scary as it looks. Promise.”
“No no, I think it is as scary as it looks,” you protested, “I’ve heard horror stories about this place, James. It’s called the Shrieking Shack for a reason.”
“Would you just trust me?” James said.
“In theory,” you responded, but still swallowed your fears and let him direct you toward the dilapidated building.
You were surprised by its contents. The interior was decorated somewhat cozy, and a large bed sat in the corner across from a warm fireplace. Lily sat on a couch facing the flames, reading for pleasure in her solitude.
“Hey, Lil, I’m sorry, we didn’t know you were out here,” James said when he spotted her.
“No worries,” Lily said, standing, “I can get going, and leave you two alone.”
She started to exit the room, but the moment she walked past James, he called out to her. “Wait. Stay.”
You turned to James, then to Lily, then back to James again. Maybe he didn’t bring you here to fuck. Maybe he really just wanted to hang out.
“Yeah? Is that alright with you, Y/N?” Lily asked.
Your gaze continued to shift between James and Lily. “I think I’m confused.”
James took a step closer to you, shifting his body behind you as he swept your hair off of one shoulder. He leaned toward your ear, whispering, “No, I don’t think you are.”
He then lightly kissed your neck, momentarily sucking on a few sensitive spots. You felt yourself lose control as your head fell backwards and your eyes closed. His lips felt like heaven against your skin.
You forgot Lily was in the room until you felt her presence in front of you. You opened your eyes but they almost instantly shut again as Lily connected her lips to yours. Your mouths moved in sync as you let yourself melt into their touches.
James’s hands ran down your sides, pushing down the garments on your lower body. You shivered as the cool air hit your now bare skin.
“Here, c’mere,” James said, directing you over to the space in between the couch and the fireplace. “Better?”
“Mhm,” you vocalized.
James studied you for a moment. He remembered what Remus has said earlier about manhandling you, and decided to take the chance. He stood in front of you and grabbed your throat, lightly squeezing his fingers as he pulled your body closer to his, your face mere inches from his. “You gonna be good?” he whispered.
“Yes,” you answered.
“Good girl,” he praised, his unoccupied hand connecting to your clit, immediately rubbing steady circles on you as he studied your expression.
Your mouth opened and you tried to moan, but the pressure around your throat meant every noise came out as a shaky breath or a small, strangled moan.
James’s eyes never left yours as your brows furrowed and you tried to shift your weight, but his grip on you was firm. He studied exactly how your features shifted and contorted when he moved fast or hit a particularly good spot, and he could feel a straining in his jeans.
Your arousal grew each time you tried to move away but couldn’t. James was certainly the most muscular of any of the group, and he worked out the most, almost by default from playing Quidditch. You were happy he was manhandling you: he was perfect for it.
James continued to touch you as you struggled to remain standing, but luckily, Lily came to your aid, holding your hips from behind.
“Aweh, Jamesie, I think she’s gonna fall if you let her go,” Lily taunted.
James listened to Lily, then directed his attention back to you. “Open your eyes,” he demanded, and you did just that, “if you fall, it better be to your knees.”
You nodded your head up and down as much as you could with James’s grip on you, and he immediately let go of your throat. You felt your knees buckle, and despite the fact that you probably could have stood, you sunk to your knees in front of James.
He smiled wickedly as he unbuttoned his jeans and pushed them down, standing in front of you in his boxers once his shirt was removed.
You looked up at him and swallowed hard, turned on but also nervous.
“I’ve never done this before,” you reminded him, “I don’t think it’ll be good.”
“You don’t have to do it, angel,” James said, fearing he was pressuring you.
“I want to,” you admitted, “I just- I-“
“Want me to talk you through it?”
“You don’t have to- I just- I don’t know-“
James sank down to your level, kneeling on the floor in front of you and taking your hands in his. “If you don’t wanna do this, you tell me whenever. Otherwise, don’t be embarrassed. I’ll walk you through it. We stop when you want. Don’t worry about it being bad, baby, that pretty mouth around my cock couldn’t possibly be bad. Lily can help, too. She’s got it down to a science. Okay?”
You blushed and dropped your head to hide it. James maneuvered his own boxers off, before standing up again, his semi-hard cock almost level with your face.
“You wanna watch what I do first?” Lily suggested, and you immediately nodded. You would feel a lot more comfortable seeing her do it first, partially so you could have a reference, but partially because you couldn’t stand the thought of doing it in front of Lily without Lily having done anything sexual in front of you first.
Lily shuffled on her knees toward James, who smiled down at her. She took James’s cock in her hand and pointed the tip directly outward.
“Boys like it when you work ‘em up first, especially this one,” Lily smiled.
Lily kept James’s cock steady as she licked a stripe from the base to the tip, circling her tongue around the tip before pulling away to speak again.
“Since it’s your first time, don’t rush it,” she said, “go nice and slow and let yourself adjust. Like this.”
Lily wrapped her mouth around James’s cock, and he immediately threw his head back and let out a moan. She slowly sunk her head further and further down.
James’s hand instinctively found it’s way to the back of Lily’s head, causing Lily to pull away with a pop. “She can’t see if your arm is in the way, Jamie!”
“Fuck, sorry,” James breathed out, clearly worked up from even one small moment.
“The little moans mean he likes it,” Lily said, “just watch your teeth. Try to think about hollowing out your cheeks.”
You nodded and watched as Lily reconnected her mouth to James’s cock. He clenched his hands into fists to stop himself from holding her head against him, and you could tell he was fighting to keep his resolve. Lily moved her head as far down as she could go, then almost entirely off, then back down again. She kept a steady pace, and eventually James looked down at her, and Lily forced her eyes open to look back at him.
“Fuck, we love it when you fucking look at us,” James said, talking to you, but looking at Lily.
Lily continued to suck him off for a few moments before disconnecting herself from him again, shifting backwards on her knees to make room for you.
You made yourself comfortable as you took a deep breath. You looked up at James, and he nearly combusted when he made eye contact with you. “Shit, baby, don’t look at me like that.”
“Will you tell me if anything is uncomfortable?” you asked.
The innocence coating your voice was driving James crazy, and he was growing more and more eager by the second. “Shit, yes, I promise.”
You copied Lily’s initial actions, wrapping your hand around the base of his cock as you wrapped your lips around his tip. You remembered what Lily said about teeth, and you did your best to avoid having them touch James. You moved your lips as far down James’s shaft as you could before you felt his tip his the back of your throat, causing you to gag around him and pull away.
“It’s okay, that’s okay! That’s totally normal,” Lily said, immediately putting her hand on your back to comfort you, “just go a little less far this time.”
You wrapped your lips around James again, this time only sinking down as far as you could without his cock hitting the back of your throat. You slowly pulled back and then pushed in again, trying to gage how it feels to move. You focused on keeping your cheeks hollowed out.
After a few tries, you got your jaw in a comfortable position. You looked up at James, who was fighting for his life to keep it together. He was gripping Lily’s hand in his own, and his other hand was in front of his face, covering his own mouth.
You pulled away from James. “Are you okay?” you asked.
“Yeah, baby, just didn’t wanna make a noise and stress you out.”
“Am I doing okay?”
“You’re doing so good for me, baby.”
You gave him a small smile before sinking back onto his length. You found your comfortable position again, and began to move more and more, gradually increasing your speed as you adjusted.
“Atta girl,” Lily said.
You braced yourself by placing your palms on his thighs, allowing yourself to more easily get closer and closer to him.
As time went on, James lost himself in the pleasure, and eventually completely forgot that this was your first time, and that he was supposed to be gentle.
His eyes were closed and his head was thrown back as he placed his hand on the back of your head, forcing you closer to him.
You tried your best to focus on keeping your cheeks hollow, and realized you should breathe through your nose. You knew you could stop James at any time, but you didn’t really want to. You relished in the knowledge that your mouth around him felt so good that he lost control.
James began to buck his hips forward, causing you to still your head as he took over. He fucked your mouth fast, chasing his high as you tried your best to breathe and stay still.
Lily grabbed your shoulders and pulled you away from him. James snapped out of his trance, and looked down to you concerned.
“Shit, angel, are you alright?” he asked, leaning down and running a thumb over your cheek.
You nodded yes as you caught your breath.
You turned to Lily, who said, “it’s no fun if he comes already.”
James got down to your level, kneeling on the floor as he begged, “seven hells, Y/N, please let us fuck you.”
You leaned toward James and gently kissed him, and he immediately reciprocated, running his fingers through your hair and deepening the kiss.
He pulled you against his body as he leaned backward, straightening his legs until he was laying flat against the floor, holding your body against his while still kissing you.
“Flip around,” he said.
You gave him a confused look, but instead of explaining, he simply repeated, “flip the fuck around.”
You awkwardly shifted your body around until your back was to James. You were nervous to put the pressure of your body against his chest, so you knelt on the floor between his legs, unsure of what to do.
You luckily didn’t have to ask. James leaned upward and wrapped his arms around your body, pulling your back flush against his chest as he laid back down against the rug.
“Legs on either side of me, angel,” he said, and you moved your knees to either side of his waist.
Even before you had sex, you had some understanding of how it worked, but this was all new for you. You listened to any instruction James gave you without question, because it wasn’t like you knew what you were doing anyway.
James unwrapped his arms from your body and ran his fingers over your arms before pulling them backwards, your head nearly knocking back into his head from surprise as he positioned your arms on either side of his head, allowing you to hold yourself up.
“You okay?” he checked in once he had you in the position he wanted.
“Mhm,” you responded.
He gripped your hips, his strength overwhelming you as he lifted your hips with ease. You helped him, lifting your knees until you felt him stop.
James gave his cock a few fast strokes before he positioned himself at your entrance. He pushed your hips down, trying to be slow for your sake, but somewhat failing. When you were all the way sat down, you could hear James’s head hit the floor as he threw it back.
He continued to move your hips up and down, relishing in the pleasure. After a few thrusts, he choked out, “Lil?”
“Already here,” she said, her voice sultry.
Your eyes were squeezed shut, but when you heard her voice, you snapped out of your daze to see she was right between your legs.
“Hi,” you squeaked out.
“Hi,” she responded.
She straightened her back until her lips were mere inches away from yours. She waited until you cried out at a sharp thrust of James’s hips to kiss you. She wrapped her fingers in your hair to keep your head in place, her tongue finding it’s way into your mouth as you moaned.
When she pulled away, she kept eye contact, and began to move down your body. When she was back in between your legs, you nodded to her, granting her permission.
Lily’s tongue began to taste between your folds. James’s thrusts we’re growing hard, his hips now moving more than yours, so Lily didn’t have to do much work.
Her tongue flicked against you as your hips moved up and down, the added pleasure causing your arousal to build rapidly.
She gazed up at you, moving her mouth closer to you so she could suck at your clit as you watched her.
“Fuck, I can’t-“ you moaned.
James released one of your hips and gripped your hair, forcing your head to tilt downward and watch Lily.
Lily sucked and licked at your clit, focusing on circling your clit with her tongue, knowing it would help drive you over the edge.
“Fuck, c’mere,” James nearly growled, knocking your arms and holding your back against his chest, your head falling beside his.
He began to fuck into you even harder, hitting your sweet spot with every vicious thrust. The stretched out position allowed Lily more access to your core, and she gently pawed at James’s balls as she continued to taste you.
While everything about the moment was heated, what sent you over the edge was James’s hold on you. His muscular arms held you against him so effortlessly, but so strong that you couldn’t dare to move if you wanted to. You felt so close to him, and the thought did you in.
“I’m com-“ you couldn’t even finish the sentence before your high crashed over you.
James immediately pulled you up and off of him and allowed Lily to taste your juices, sucking at your entrance until you had calmed down and were clean. As she did so, James used one hand to hold his cock against your thigh, fucking it until he came, spilling his seed on your thigh and hip.
Lily leaned over to lick up the come all over you, making sure you were clean before she backed away.
You dropped your hips to the floor, exhaustion overwhelming you as James shifted backward and allowed you to rest your head on his legs.
Naked and fucked out, James began to run his fingers through your sweat soaked hair. You stayed there for a moment, while Lily reclothed herself and organized her books, before you asked, “how long have you guys been coming here?”
“Years,” James answered, “Remus started coming here during his transitions, and the rest of us would come help him out. It kinda became our place.”
You tilted your head to look up at James. “His what?”
“His transitions. Transformations. Whatever.”
“Transformations?”
“Remus is a werewolf, honey,” Lily chimed in, “there’s no way you couldn’t have known that.”
You did not know that.
“Sirius can turn into a dog,” James blurted out.
“A what?”
“You have so much to learn,” James teased.
“A dog? Like a dog? Like a literal dog?”
“Mhm,” James smiled, “pretty cute dog, too. Big fluffy black thing. Can be kinda scary. He doesn’t really talk about it.”
“What can you turn into?” you looked up to James.
“Baby, you just saw the animal I can be.”
“Oh be honest with her, James,” Lily said, “that wasn’t even the half of it.”

I'll Take You to Heaven
જ⁀➴ Childhood Best Friends : Day 7

feat. Josh Washington ᯓ★ A game of seven minutes in heaven has you and your best friend revealing your feelings for each other...and then some.
warnings! : NSFW 18+, takes place during prologue, dual virgins, dry humping, fingering, handjob, getting caught (kind of)
ᯓ★ kinktober m.list || read on ao3
“Ugh, c’mon, it’ll be fun!” Jess tugs at your arm, annoyed at your resistance to her suggestion—a game of seven minutes in heaven.
“There is no way in hell I’m agreeing to that,” you say. Tensions were already high in your friend group, and you didn’t want any fights happening while all of you were stuck in the Washington’s cabin for a weekend, stuck in the middle of the snowy mountains. Emily was pissed because Hannah had feelings for Mike, Chris and Ashley had feelings for each other and refused to tell the other, and you didn’t want to even think about what Jess was doing with getting close to Mike. You didn’t want to be around to witness the inevitable chaos this game would bring.
But really, you couldn’t be one to talk. You, Chris, and Josh had been inseparable since you were kids, and throughout your time of being friends with Josh you had slowly developed a crush on him. You knew you could never tell him, for fear of ruining your friendship. You valued him too much to risk that.
“You’re so booooring.” Jess rolls her eyes at you, before whispering into your ear.
“Shut up!” You yank your arm out of her grasp, heat rising to your face. “What the fuck do you know about that? That’s not why!”
Her eyes light up. “So it is true!” A smirk rises to her face, but before she can say anything else, a hand falls against your shoulder.
“Ooh, what’re we whispering about over here? Keeping secrets from dear old Joshie, are ya?”
Mortified that Josh almost heard you guys, you almost want to hug Jess for speaking first as you can’t find anything to say.
“Hey Josh. You’ll play, right?”
He grins. “You know I’m down for anything.”
“Well,” Jess turns back to you, “you need to convince her to join us. Such a party pooper.”
Josh turns to you and throws his arm around your shoulders, forcing you to lean into his side. “Aw, c’mon honey, you can’t leave me alone with these idiots.”
“Fine.” You roll your eyes, knowing you didn’t have it in you to deny Josh. “Let’s play this stupid game.”
Jess squeals as she grabs your arm, leading you (and Josh, who’s hand hasn’t left you) into the living room, where everyone is seated on the large carpet.
“Look who I’ve found!” Jess says in a sing-songy voice. Cheers ring out and the group opens up some space on the floor for the three of you to sit. You and Jess take a seat between Ashley and Matt, while Josh sits next to Chris, almost directly across from you.
“You’re first.” Emily says, shoving the empty glass bottle in your direction. “Since you were the last one to show.”
You didn’t have the strength in you to protest, hoping that this game will be over quickly and hopefully no fights break out. You just wanted one quiet night without any of your friends arguing with each other.
As you spin the bottle, you just pray it lands on someone who you knew you could actually deal with being alone for seven minutes, like Beth or Sam.
But as long as it didn’t land on Josh, you were okay with it.
The bottle slowly comes to a stop, and you see the neck of it facing opposite of you.
Oh, fuck.
Your eyes slowly move up to see the person the bottle points towards, and you’re met with Josh’s green eyes staring right into you.
Just your fucking luck.
Jess giggles from beside you as she drags you to stand up. Josh slowly gets up across from you, strangely quiet as Chris seems to nudge him slightly.
As Josh steps his way around the group, Jess grabs you both and pulls you away. “Have fun in there, lovebirds!”
“Yeah, don’t forget to wear protection, man!” Mike calls out from behind you. You stick up your middle finger behind you and you and Josh enter the designated space for this game, a fairly spacious storage closet with only the moon providing you two with any sort of light.
As the door locks you plop down onto the floor, your head falling into your hands. You hear Josh take a seat next to you, a hand coming onto your shoulder as he rubs circles into it with his thumb.
“What’s got you down, honey? Thought we were supposed to have fun tonight.”
“It’s nothing.” You sigh, turning to your friend. “Really, I’m okay.” You wince with how fake it sounds as it leaves your lips. You hated lying to Josh, but how the hell were you supposed to tell him you’ve been in love with him for years.
“Really?” Josh raises an eyebrow. “’Cause you’ve barely spoken to me all day.”
You throw your head back, your actions of trying to make sure Josh doesn’t find out about your crush on him finally catching up to you.
“What is it then?”
His voice is firm, and you know by that tone there’s no way you can avoid the topic now.
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” you mutter.
“Oh yeah? Try me. We’ve known each other for years, I’m sure I’ve heard it all.”
“You haven’t heard that I’ve been in love with you since the sixth grade.”
He lets out a laugh, and your heart drops to your stomach. “Sixth grade? That’s when I had pimples and shit!”
You can’t help but laugh along with him, giving him a punch in his shoulder. “Shut up. I didn’t say I had good taste, did I?”
“Even if you didn't, it sure as hell works out for me, considering I’ve liked you even longer than that.”
You grow silent at his words, taking in what he said. “You’re fucking with me.”
“I’m not.” He narrows his eyes. “Unless you’re fucking with me?”
“Why would I be fucking with you?” Josh stays silent and you roll your eyes. “Don’t piss me off, dude.” You go to push against him to get more space but Josh grabs your hand, interlocking your fingers with his own. Your heart starts beating rapidly in your chest feeling his warm palm against your own.
“Please don’t call me dude before I’m about to kiss you.”
You gasp as Josh leans in and captures your lips, closing your eyes and indulging in the sensation. The kiss feels clumsy, his lips clashing against your own in a way that exposes the lack of experience, but it's made up for with passion. Josh leans into you, wrapping his arms around your waist as you allow yourself to fall into his embrace. Your hands come up to either side of his head, one moving to run itself through his hair as he groans into your mouth.
He pulls away just as you do to get some air. You both pant heavily, staring at each other, and a bead of saliva that connects you two breaks.
A grin breaks out across Josh’s face, and a shy smile finds its way onto yours. He rests his forehead against your own, bringing a hand up to stroke your cheek. “You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to do that for,” he murmurs.
“Trust me,” you say, “I know.”
“Four minutes!” You hear Jess from outside faintly, and you jump slightly in Josh’s hold. “There better be some action going on in there!”
“Guess we better give the people what they want.”
“Shut up and kiss me, you idiot.”
Your lips find his again in an instant, and this time this kiss is more desperate—more passionate. Josh’s hands run up and down your body and you moan into him, your back arching as your breasts squish themselves against his chest. You’re sitting in his lap now from how close you two are, and you start to move your hips against Josh. Josh groans into your mouth, and you take that as an opportunity to shove your tongue in there. Your tongues clash as you sloppily make out, drool escaping your lips as you clumsily figure out the best way to do it.
Josh ruts his hips up into you, keeping you still with his hands around your waist. His cock hardens against you, and the friction of his jeans rubbing into your clothed slit has you moaning into the kiss. His hands tug at your hair, and you already know that it’s going to be hard explaining the mess of it when your time is up.
You break away from the kiss as a particular loud moan leaves your lips, inside choosing to bite into Josh’s shoulder as a way to conceal your noises.
“Wait,” you say, before you and Josh go any farther. He looks up at you expectantly. “I haven’t done anything like this before,” you admit, nervous about your lack of experience.
Josh smiles, running a hand across the back of his neck. “Me neither. We can figure it out together.”
Pride washes over you at being Josh’s first, even though you know it’s not something you really have to be too happy about. But you’ve grown up with the guy, pretty much experiencing all of life together with him. It only made sense that you had each other’s firsts in this way, too.
You let yourself fall back into Josh’s embrace as one of his hands leaves your waist to reach into your sweatpants. It takes him a bit of fumbling but he eventually finds your pussy, teasing it through your soaked underwear. The squelching sounds of your wetness cause you to bury your face into the crook of his neck, embarrassed by how obvious your arousal was.
Josh chuckles at your reaction, his fingers continuing to pet you and you buck your hips into them.
“S-shut up,” you argue weakly, not wanting to see his face as he teases you.
“Didn’t say anything,” he whispers into your ear.
You figure that the only way to get Josh to stop teasing you was to beat him at his own game. Your hands reach down to unbuckle his belt and unzip his jeans, and you hear a halt in breath as his fingers falter slightly in their rhythm as you stick your hand down his pants, palming at his bulge.
“Fuck,” he hisses, “feels good.”
You hum, moving your hand across his bulge as he ruts his hips against you. He leaves kisses up and down your neck, causing you to gasp and squeeze him harder, a groan tumbling from him.
“Fuck yeah, hon, keep doing that.”
You finally move your hand into his underwear, wrapping it around the full girth of his cock as you stroke him at that same pace of his fingers pumping in and out of you.
“Josh,” you whine, pressing your body to him as close as you can. “Gonna cum.” One of your hands digs into his backside trying to find some stability as the other continues to stroke him.
His pace quickens and broken moans escape you as you buck into him frantically, a loud moan falling from you orgasm onto his fingers.
Josh isn’t too far behind as you hear a groan from him and a warm stickiness envelopes your fingers.
You reach around and thankfully find a roll of paper towels in the storage closet to wipe your hands with.
Josh leans up and kisses you, and you sigh into it, bartering with yourself that it’ll be the last one before you’ll begin cleaning yourself up.
“I am approaching the door.”
Chris’s voice rings out as you and Josh jump back, eyes wide as you stare at each other.
“I am about to put my hand on the doorknob.”
“Fuck,” you groan, hastily trying to fix your appearance so that you don’t look like you were two seconds away from fucking.
The door opens and Chris stands in front of you two, an unamused look across his face.
“You’re lucky I was able to convince Jess to let me do this,” Chris sighs, turning his head away for a brief moment so that you and Josh can try to make yourselves look a little bit more presentable. “Although I think I’m the unlucky one now.”
Josh turns to you, snickering. “Aww, honey. Cochise cares about us!”
“Ooh, you loooove us.” You imitate exaggerated kisses in Chris’s direction, and then give Josh a kiss on his cheek.
“Man, I’m really gonna have to be the third wheel now,” you hear him mutter to himself, although loud enough that you and Josh can still hear.
“Ashley’s still waiting for you,” you tell him, teasingly.
“Fuck you, guys,” he retorts, spinning back around and walking back towards the living room. “I’m gonna need a drink after this.”
Josh pouts mockingly as he holds your hand. “Aw man, without us? Don’t worry, we’re all gonna get drunk off our asses tonight.”
Chris shrugs. “Go crazy, I guess. I really hope you two aren’t some of those horny drunks.”
You wink at him as the three of you cross into the living room, the sounds of your friends’ voices growing louder. “Can’t promise you anything, bud.”

Caught in the Crossfire || Vil Schoenheit
You and Vil, partners in crime, find that the line between business and pleasure is thinner than you'd like to admit when you can’t outrun the feelings that come with sharing a life together
Or: Mafia Boss! Vil x Mafia Boss! Reader
The eggs are perfect. Light, fluffy, with just the right amount of seasoning—not too overpowering, but enough to whisper of extravagance. The coffee is dark and rich, paired with a delicate pastry that crumbles just right under the pressure of a silver fork.
It’s the kind of meal that makes a person momentarily forget the bloodstains on their cufflinks or the fact that their bank account balance looks more like the GDP of a small country than a personal savings figure.
Across from you, Vil sits with his usual effortless elegance, wearing a suit so sharp it could cut glass. His long fingers tap against the rim of his teacup as he listens to you talk about the new shipment coming in tonight—an assortment of weapons, high-grade, the kind that people don’t just buy, they invest in.
He nods along, occasionally stirring his tea with slow, deliberate movements, because of course Vil would find a way to make stirring tea look like a power move.
“Do you need backup?” he asks.
You consider it. Technically, your men have it handled, but technically, your men also said they had it handled last time, and then one of them accidentally blew up an entire warehouse because he thought a grenade pin was “more of a suggestion than a rule.”
“Wouldn’t hurt,” you say, sipping your coffee.
Vil hums approvingly. “I’ll send a few of mine. Not the new ones, obviously. I refuse to be represented by incompetence.”
And honestly? You respect that.
The city outside is a hellscape of crime and corruption, an urban jungle where power is measured in blood, influence, and how well one can survive a fight.
Unfortunately, not everyone in this godforsaken city understands the rules.
The café doors slam open with a force that makes the entire room go silent. A group of unfamiliar thugs strides in, their boots scuffing against the pristine marble floor, and you can feel the collective eye twitch of the waitstaff.
These guys are new—young, eager, dressed like they learned everything they know about organized crime from bad action movies. One of them, some overconfident idiot with a stupid amount of gel in his hair, swings a gun around like a prop in a school play.
You sigh.
Vil sighs.
The staff also sighs because they’ve clearly worked here long enough to know how this is going to end.
“Alright, listen up!” the leader barks, and wow, his voice is nasally. “We’re taking over this joint, you hear me? Hand over your wallets and—”
He doesn’t get to finish.
Because by the time he utters the words hand over, you and Vil are already moving. It’s practically second nature at this point—the quiet efficiency of two seasoned professionals dealing with yet another group of morons who have no sense of self-preservation.
Vil moves with the precision of a man who has choreographed his entire life. One swift motion and his cup of scalding hot tea is in the face of the closest thug, who shrieks as if he’s been dunked into the pits of hell itself.
You, meanwhile, grab your fork—your lovely, silver, overpriced café fork—and embed it in another guy’s hand before flipping the table for cover.
The entire thing is over in five minutes.
By the end of it, the floor is littered with groaning bodies, a few broken noses, and one unfortunate soul who got knocked unconscious with a plate of eggs benedict (rest in peace, you perfect, fluffy breakfast delight).
The remaining patrons barely react. The waitstaff steps over the bodies to continue serving, because they, too, have adapted to the reality of running an establishment in a city where mafia heads hold weekly brunch meetings.
Vil fixes his sleeves with a look of mild irritation, as if the real crime here was the inconvenience. “Honestly,” he mutters. “Didn’t their mothers ever teach them basic manners?”
You shake your head, dragging your chair back into place. “I swear, the new generation has no sense of etiquette.”
And just like that, the two of you sit back down and resume your meal.
Vil’s office is immaculate, as always. A glass desk, perfectly arranged décor, the scent of expensive cologne lingering in the air like it pays rent. If someone walked in without context, they’d assume they were entering the workspace of a world-renowned fashion mogul.
Which, technically, isn’t wrong.
Except instead of discussing upcoming collections or brand endorsements, the two of you are currently overseeing a money laundering operation disguised as a high-fashion venture.
And Vil is not impressed.
“This,” he says, voice dripping with disdain, as he gestures at the collection laid out before him, “is an atrocity.”
You glance at the designs, then back at him. “Vil, it’s crime. Who actually cares what it looks like?”
That was the wrong thing to say.
The glare Vil levels at you could freeze over the entire eastern seaboard. You’re not a weak person—you’ve stared down rival bosses, assassins, and law enforcement without so much as flinching—but something about the sheer disgust in Vil’s expression makes you reflexively sit up straighter.
Across the room, Epel, who had made the grave mistake of being in the vicinity, excuses himself immediately, because the last time he witnessed this level of ice-cold judgment, he had nightmares for a week.
“This—this mockery—is a crime against fashion,” Vil continues, gesturing sharply at a particularly offensive garment. “Look at this cut! Look at these fabrics! The stitching alone looks like it was done by someone having a seizure!”
You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Vil. We are actual criminals.”
“Yes, and even criminals should have standards,” he snaps, crossing his arms. “Honestly, what’s the point of laundering money through fashion if it’s going to be this hideous? I refuse to be associated with whatever this is.”
You don’t have the energy for this argument. Not today.
“Fine,” you say, standing up. “If it bothers you that much, let’s go shopping.”
Vil’s expression flickers, then settles into something vaguely victorious. He snaps his fingers, and in seconds, his coat is draped over his shoulders like a royal mantle. “Finally, some sense,” he mutters.
You blink. “Wait, now? I meant, like, later—”
But Vil is already walking out the door, and you have no choice but to follow.
You are a mafia boss. A feared, respected individual whose name carries weight in every criminal circle. You have made decisions that have shaped the underworld itself.
And yet, here you are.
Standing in an absurdly expensive boutique, dressed in an outfit that costs more than the GDP of a small country, while Vil meticulously adjusts the buttons on your cuffs.
“How,” you say, staring at your reflection in mild disbelief, “did I get here?”
Vil doesn’t even look up as he smooths the fabric on your shoulders. “Because you had the audacity to suggest that fashion doesn’t matter while standing in my office.”
You exhale slowly. “I meant for money laundering purposes.”
“And I meant for every purpose.” Vil steps back, tilts his head slightly, then nods in approval before turning his attention back to the racks of clothing. “Now, try this one.”
You look at the garment he’s holding up. “That’s the exact same color and design as the last one.”
Vil shoots you a withering look. “It is not. The cut is completely different. Honestly, I pity you sometimes.”
This has been going on for an hour.
An hour of Vil forcing you into one designer piece after another, adjusting your collar, critiquing your posture, and making you question every life decision that led to this moment.
“I run an entire criminal empire,” you mutter under your breath as Vil hands you yet another outfit.
“Yes, and you dress like you just rolled out of a getaway car.”
That’s not even an insult. That’s just factual.
You glance at the boutique’s security cameras and briefly contemplate faking an emergency to get out of this. Maybe start a small fire. Stage a kidnapping. Something.
But then Vil fixes the lapel on your coat, his fingers brushing against your collarbone, and for a brief, dangerous second, you forget that you’re supposed to be annoyed.
“…Fine,” you grumble. “One more outfit.”
Vil smirks. “I knew you had some sense.”
There are a few unwritten rules when it comes to surviving in your organization. They’re not complicated. In fact, they can be summed up rather succinctly:
Don’t talk back to the bosses unless you’ve got a death wish.
Don’t disrespect Vil's design choices unless you really have a death wish.
Don’t, under any circumstances, assume Epel Felmier is weak.
The third rule, in particular, is the one that most fresh recruits fail to grasp. Which is why you and Vil are currently seated comfortably, sipping on expensive coffee, watching the inevitable unfold like a slow-motion car crash.
Epel is standing in the middle of the training yard, casual as ever, looking every bit like the deceptively polite farm boy he used to be. Across from him, a new recruit—one of the unfortunate ones with more bravado than brain cells—grins like he’s just won the lottery.
“Didn’t think this family let kids in,” the idiot sneers, cracking his knuckles.
Oh, you wish you could say you were surprised.
You glance at Vil. He exhales, already unimpressed, and gives a small, imperceptible nod.
And just like that, Epel moves.
It’s not an elaborate attack, nor is it the kind of long, drawn-out fight scene you’d see in a movie. No, it’s fast.
One second the recruit is standing there, cocky and smirking, and the next—CRACK.
His jaw—his entire jaw—is just gone.
You don’t even think Epel used that much force. He just twisted his wrist, landed a clean hit, and now some poor fool is lying on the ground, making the kind of wheezing sounds that definitely mean you’ll have to call a doctor (or a mortician, depending on how bad the damage is).
The yard is silent.
Some of the other new recruits shift nervously. The smarter ones make a mental note to never, ever say anything remotely condescending to Epel.
You, meanwhile, casually check your watch.
“Four minutes,” you announce.
Vil sighs, already reaching into his coat.
“You thought he’d last fifteen minutes?” you ask, grinning as he hands you his card.
“I had hope,” Vil says flatly. “Clearly, that was a mistake.”
Epel dusts off his sleeves, looking more annoyed that his knuckles got dirty than the fact that he just sent a guy to the hospital.
“Any of y’all got somethin’ else to say?” he asks, tone deceptively light.
Silence.
Smart.
You pocket Vil’s card, smirking. “Well, that was entertaining. Dinner?”
Vil nods. “Dinner.”
And with that, you leave, stepping over the still-twitching body of the idiot who learned the hard way that Epel Felmier does not take disrespect lightly.
In the world of organized crime, certain unspoken rules govern the way things operate. Territory lines must be respected. Alliances must be upheld—until they aren’t. And when the time comes to commit heinous acts of violence, one must do so with a sense of style.
But above all else, there is one sacred, immutable law:
Do not disturb dinner.
Every week, without fail, you and Vil sit down for an elegant, civilized meal. A small, fleeting moment of luxury amidst a life otherwise filled with extortion, backroom deals, and the occasional high-speed chase through the city.
It is a time to unwind, to drink expensive wine, to complain about incompetent subordinates and how—for the love of all things holy—does one completely botch a simple shipment of illegal arms?
Which is why when your phone rings—you’re already irritated.
Vil barely spares you a glance, swirling his wine in one hand, as if waiting to see whether he should be entertained or bored by what happens next.
With a long-suffering sigh, you pick up.
“Yeah?”
There’s a brief pause, the sound of someone clearing their throat, and then a voice that is clearly trying (and failing) to sound intimidating says:
“We have your man.”
You blink. “My what?”
“Your man,” the voice repeats, a little less sure of himself now.
Vil raises a perfectly sculpted brow, setting his glass down with a soft clink.
“…I don’t have a man.”
“Yes, you do.”
“No, I really don’t.”
“Yes, you really do.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose. “Oh my god. Who?”
The voice hesitates. Then, like he’s dropping the ace up his sleeve, he announces:
“We have Rook Hunt.”
There’s a moment of silence.
Vil exhales slowly, lips twitching into something resembling amusement. He looks as though he wants to offer the poor idiot on the other end a moment of prayer.
You, on the other hand, have to suppress the sheer urge to cackle. Instead, you take a deep, deep breath and say, in the flattest tone imaginable:
“Oh noooooo. Not Rook.”
The guy picks up on the sarcasm, but it’s too late to back out now. “Yeah, uh—he’s terrified.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Begging for his life. Real mess.”
“Sure.”
“Crying, actually.”
You glance at Vil, who lifts his glass again, the universal sign for let’s see how long this idiot keeps digging this grave.
“Okay, listen,” you say, leaning back in your chair. “Do me a favor real quick.”
“…Yeah?”
“Check who the actual hostage is.”
There’s a moment of absolute, ringing silence.
Then, far too faint to be directly into the phone, you hear:
“Wait, why does he still have a knife? Why does he still ha—OH GOD—”
And then, screaming.
Absolute, visceral, panicked screaming.
The kind of screaming that can only come from realizing, far too late, that you were not, in fact, the hunter but the very stupid, stupid prey.
The line goes dead.
You lower the phone, considering your options. Then, still grinning, you turn to Vil.
“Should I have warned them he carries extra knives?”
Vil takes a slow sip of wine and, without missing a beat, says, “They’ll figure it out soon enough.”
And oh, they do.
Because exactly thirty minutes later, Rook strolls in, positively beaming, covered in blood (that is definitely not his), and carrying a suspiciously thick folder of intelligence on who, precisely, had the brilliant idea of kidnapping him.
Vil doesn’t even look surprised. If anything, he looks slightly disappointed that Rook let them die too fast to give a proper monologue.
You, meanwhile, are just sitting there, staring at the bloodied mess of a man you call an associate, and thinking:
Yeah. They figured it out.
It was supposed to be simple.
A mission so straightforward that you almost felt insulted having to do it yourself. But no, apparently this was too delicate to leave to your subordinates, so here you were—sitting in a dimly lit bar, nursing a glass of expensive whiskey, and attempting to charm some information out of the city's most indiscreet criminals.
And in theory, this should have been easy.
You and Vil weren’t just mafia bosses; you were masters of persuasion. Your entire existence revolved around the ability to manipulate, deceive, and seduce when necessary. You could talk a man into selling his own kneecaps if you wanted to.
But there was one glaring problem this time.
Vil.
Because for some godforsaken reason, he seemed dead set on sabotaging this mission at every turn.
The moment you leaned in to flirt with a target, flashing your best smirk, Vil’s hand clamped onto your wrist, yanking you back as if you were about to throw yourself into traffic.
When some well-dressed (if mildly repulsive) businessman slid up beside you, whispering something undoubtedly sleazy in your ear, Vil scoffed so loudly that the man flinched.
You kicked him under the table. He kicked you back—harder.
And when you tried giggling—the universal signal for “yes, I’m interested, please tell me all your criminal secrets” —Vil exhaled like you had personally betrayed him.
It reached a boiling point when you were about to land the final hook—batting your lashes, trailing a hand over your target’s sleeve, just a few seconds away from getting him to spill everything—when Vil, in an act of sheer malice, suddenly pulled you into his side and drawled,
“Apologies, darling. They have an unfortunate habit of attracting the wrong sort of people.”
Your target, now looking incredibly alarmed, muttered something about needing the restroom and fled.
You closed your eyes. Counted to ten. Considered murder.
Then, with a saccharine smile that probably terrified half the bar, you grabbed Vil by the arm and dragged him into a private back room before slamming the door shut behind you.
“The hell is your problem?!” you hissed.
Vil looked utterly unbothered. “I’m looking out for you.”
“Looking out for me?” you repeated, incredulous. “You’re blowing the mission!”
His arms folded gracefully across his chest. “You deserve a higher class of admirer. Not some low-life with a cheap watch and a bad dye job.”
You stared. Your hands twitched with the overwhelming urge to shake him senseless.
“Vil,” you said, very slowly, “I am not into that guy. This is a mission. You know, the thing we do instead of dying?”
He lifted an eyebrow. “It’s still demeaning to—”
You shook him.
Physically grabbed his shoulders and shook him.
Vil let out a strangled sound of protest, looking utterly offended, but you didn’t care.
“I AM HERE TO MANIPULATE A MAN INTO TELLING ME WHERE THEY’RE STORING THEIR SMUGGLED GUNS,” you all but shouted. “I AM NOT HERE TO DATE HIM.”
You shoved him away, storming back out of the room with all the fury of someone whose mission had just been single-handedly ruined by the world’s worst wingman.
Vil stood there, unmoving, watching you leave.
Something bitter welled up in his chest. Something unpleasant and sharp, something he didn’t want to name.
But instead of examining it too closely, he merely smoothed down his suit, exhaled, and begrudgingly followed you back out.
You had learned, over the years, how to let things go.
You had learned that sometimes, no matter how much something tugged at your mind, demanded an answer, it was better to step back, breathe, and let time sort things out.
Which is why you didn’t press Vil about whatever the hell was going on with him.
It was easier to not acknowledge the way he kept interfering with your missions.
Easier to not question the sharp looks, the lingering stares, the way his voice would curl around your name like it was something precious when he thought no one could hear.
It was easier to not ask why his irritation felt personal.
Because you knew, if you asked, you might not like the answer.
So instead of adding to whatever storm was brewing inside Vil, you sent Rook and Epel to finish the job.
And yet—despite your best efforts—you still found yourself in front of Vil’s office door, knocking lightly before stepping inside.
It was just tea. Like always. A ritual built over time.
Except—this time, you were bruised.
Your knuckles were raw, shoulders aching from the kind of fight that couldn’t be avoided, no matter how skilled you were at maneuvering through this world. You had faced worse, of course. It was nothing.
But Vil took one look at you and his expression—once neutral, if a little distant—collapsed.
His cup slipped from his fingers, shattering against the floor. Neither of you acknowledged it.
The next thing you knew, his hand was on your wrist, grip firm but careful, urgent.
You didn’t fight it when he dragged you to the bathroom, not saying a word, the tension in his body wound so tightly you thought he might snap in half.
He forced you to sit on the counter, hands moving automatically to pull out a first-aid kit.
“Vil,” you started.
“Be quiet.”
There was no bite to his voice, but the quiet urgency in it stopped you all the same.
You huffed. “I can just call my medic—”
His eyes flicked up to meet yours, and whatever he was feeling—whatever he was holding back—made your words catch in your throat.
You let him work in silence.
The press of antiseptic against raw skin, the brush of his fingers as he wrapped your wounds, the careful tilt of his head as he studied his handiwork—all of it felt unbearably tender.
Too gentle for the world you lived in.
When he finished, he exhaled slowly, as if grounding himself. Then, to your shock, he leaned into you.
His forehead pressed against your shoulder, his breath warm against your collarbone. His hands—once poised, always careful—clutched at the fabric of your shirt like he was holding himself together.
“Never do this again.” His voice was quiet. Almost pleading.
Your stomach twisted. “Vil, I’m a mafia boss too. What do you expect me to do? Knit sweaters and run charities?”
He lifted his head then, and when his eyes met yours, you understood.
This wasn’t just frustration. Wasn’t just exasperation over your recklessness.
It was fear.
It was something far deeper, something he had never said out loud, something you had ignored every time he pulled you back at the bar, every time he scoffed at your flirting, every time he lingered just a little too long when adjusting your tie.
The realization hit you like a bullet to the ribs.
You swallowed hard. “...I’ll be a little more careful. If I can.”
His shoulders sagged, and he nodded. Then, slowly, hesitantly, he let himself lean into you again.
You didn’t stop him. You just held him, his arms around your waist, your hand cradling the back of his head, feeling the way his breath finally evened out.
And in that moment, you understood—Vil hadn’t just been acting like a jilted lover.
He felt like he was one.
The plan had been brilliant. Carefully orchestrated, every detail accounted for, every possible hitch considered.
Yet somehow, somehow, you had managed to go from one of the most feared mafia leaders in the city to someone currently hiding in a safe house with Vil fucking Schoenheit, hiding from both law enforcement and some very, very powerful enemies.
You weren’t sure which was worse.
"Explain it to me again," you sighed, pressing your head against the wall. "How exactly did everything go to hell in under three minutes?"
Across the room, Vil sat on a chair, legs crossed, looking far too composed for someone who had nearly been arrested, shot at, and insulted all in the span of an hour.
“Simple,” he said, inspecting his nails like you weren’t on the verge of losing your mind. “The deal was never going to go through. It was a setup. A trap. Which, if you’d just listened to me in the first place—”
You groaned. “Oh, please. If you knew it was a trap, why did you even agree to go with me?”
He flicked his gaze up then, sharp and assessing. “Because you have an appalling habit of running headfirst into danger, and someone needs to be there to drag you back out of it.”
You opened your mouth to argue—then promptly closed it, because, okay, fair point.
Still. It was one thing to walk into a trap, knowing it was a trap. It was another thing entirely to somehow piss off some of the most powerful figures in the city and get half the police force on your tail.
How had it all gone so wrong?
Rook and Epel had managed to escape somehow—how, you still didn’t know, but you were too exhausted to question it. The last thing they had said before vanishing was a quick assurance that they’d “fix it soon.”
Which, coming from them, could mean anything.
Great. Fantastic.
And that left you and Vil, holed up in a safe house in the middle of nowhere, waiting for things to blow over.
You sighed, rubbing your temples. “This is not how I thought today would go.”
Vil hummed, stretching elegantly. “Yes, well. Adaptability is an important skill in our line of work, isn’t it?”
You shot him a flat look. “We are literally in hiding. This is not a power move.”
Vil tilted his head, giving you a slow, deliberate once-over. “It’s only hiding if you look desperate.”
You did look desperate.
There was a smear of dirt on your cheek, your shirt was torn, and you were pretty sure you had a bruise forming on your ribs from when you’d had to dive behind a car earlier.
Vil, meanwhile, looked like he had just stepped out of a high-profile photoshoot. Despite the chase, the chaos, and the very real possibility of getting arrested, he somehow managed to remain immaculate.
You hated him a little bit for it.
You groaned, slumping down onto the couch. “At this point, I’d rather get shot than deal with your attitude.”
Vil let out an amused hum. “Dramatic as ever.”
There was a beat of silence. You let your eyes close, just for a moment, trying to gather your thoughts.
Then—softly, almost too quiet to hear—Vil said, “Are you hurt?”
The question made your eyes flick open. You turned your head just enough to see him watching you, expression unreadable.
“…I’ll live,” you muttered.
He exhaled sharply, then stood and walked toward you with measured steps. Before you could protest, he reached out, fingers brushing over your jaw, tilting your face slightly to the side.
“You’re bleeding,” he murmured.
You hadn’t even noticed.
His fingers were gentle, and for a moment, you forgot how to breathe.
Then—he leaned in slightly, gaze flicking down to your lips for the briefest second before his expression hardened.
“Be more careful,” he said, voice softer than usual.
You swallowed. “Vil, I can take care of myself.”
He didn’t respond immediately. Instead, his hand lingered for a fraction of a second longer before he pulled away, stepping back.
“Of course you can,” he said, but he didn’t sound convinced.
The safe house was nice. Too nice.
It was one of your better ones—a sleek, modern apartment with floor-to-ceiling windows, a fully stocked bar, and furniture that looked like it belonged in some high-end magazine. The kind of place designed for luxury, not hiding.
And now you were stuck in it. With Vil. For two whole weeks.
You stared at Rook’s message again, rereading the words like they would magically change into something better.
It’ll take about two weeks to fix everything. Hold tight, mes amis. I’ll pick you both up soon.
Two weeks.
Fourteen days of living with Vil.
Fourteen days of pretending like you didn’t know exactly how he felt about you.
Fourteen days of not thinking about how you felt about him.
You dragged a hand down your face, exhaling slowly.
This is fine.
You were a professional. A leader. You had spent years navigating crime syndicates, surviving betrayals, outplaying enemies who wanted you dead.
You could handle this.
Vil sighed dramatically from across the room, pulling your attention back to him. “If we’re going to be trapped here for two weeks, we’re going to need ground rules.”
You raised a brow. “Ground rules?”
He folded his arms. “Yes. Firstly, you will not track dirt into the house. Secondly, if you insist on ruining your diet with instant ramen at ungodly hours, do not expect me to partake. Thirdly—”
You tuned him out.
Two weeks.
You were so screwed.
You should have expected this.
The moment you stepped into the bedroom, you knew. There was only one bed.
You stood there, staring at it like it had personally wronged you. Vil, standing beside you, let out the longest sigh of his life.
“Of course.”
“Why is there only one bed?” you asked, because surely if you kept asking, reality itself would shift and reveal a second one hidden somewhere.
Vil pinched the bridge of his nose. “I don’t know. Perhaps because this is a safe house, not a five-star resort?”
You scowled. “Still. You’d think there’d be at least a couch—”
“I am not sleeping on the floor.”
You crossed your arms. “Well, I’m not sleeping on the floor.”
A tense silence.
A battle of wills.
Finally, a compromise.
The bed was big enough. You could share. You would be adults about this. You would put a pillow barrier between you, and that would be the end of it.
It wasn’t the end of it.
The first time you woke up was because you felt something warm in the crook of your neck. You blinked blearily, still half-asleep—only to realize Vil had somehow migrated across the bed, an arm draped around your waist, his face tucked against your throat.
He was softer like this, relaxed in a way you’d never seen before.
You could feel his steady breaths against your skin, the slow rise and fall of his chest. He looked peaceful, like for once in his life, he had let go of everything. The weight of expectations, of appearances, of the cold ruthlessness that came with being a mafia leader—it was all gone.
You could wake him up.
You should wake him up.
But you didn’t have the heart to move.
You just lay there, staring at the ceiling till you fell asleep again.
The second time you woke up, it was different.
It was the feeling of wetness against your collarbone.
Vil was crying.
Silent, broken tears, his body trembling against yours. His fingers curled slightly into your shirt, barely holding on, like he wasn’t fully aware of it himself.
Your chest ached.
You had never seen Vil cry. Not once.
Should you wake him? Should you just hold him and hope it chased the nightmare away?
But then, before you could decide, he suddenly jerked awake with a sharp breath. His hands shot up, covering his face as he turned away from you, shoulders rigid.
You hesitated only for a moment before you moved, shifting across the bed to sit closer to him.
“Vil.”
“Go back to sleep.” His voice was hoarse, barely above a whisper.
You ignored him, reaching out to rub slow, soothing circles on his thigh. You could feel the tension in him, the way his muscles were taut like he was barely holding himself together.
Finally, after a long moment, he let out a shaky breath and met your eyes.
“…Promise me something,” he murmured.
You frowned. “What?”
“Hire a bodyguard.” His voice was quiet, but firm. “Stop throwing yourself into fights. Just… just run your turf without brawling, please.”
Your instinct was to protest. To remind him that this was just how things worked. You were a mafia boss, you couldn’t just sit on the sidelines—
But then you saw the way he looked at you.
Wrecked.
Like he had already lost you a thousand times in his nightmares.
The words died in your throat.
“…Okay,” you said instead. “I’ll try.”
He exhaled, as if he had been holding his breath, and slowly leaned into you. You shifted slightly, letting him rest against you, arms wrapping around him without a second thought.
He fell back asleep like that, curled up in your hold, like you were the only safe thing in his world.
And you—
You lay awake, staring at the ceiling, wondering how long you were both going to pretend you felt nothing.
Morning came, sluggish and unkind, dragging in the weight of everything unspoken.
Vil was seated at the dining table with his usual elegance, flipping through the morning paper as though nothing had changed. His hair was sleek, not a single strand out of place, his makeup flawless even in the early hours. If not for the faint redness around his eyes, you might have thought you had hallucinated last night entirely.
But you hadn’t.
You could still feel it—the ghost of his weight slumped against you, the quiet tremor in his fingers, the way his voice had cracked when he begged you to stop getting into fights.
Meanwhile, you looked like you had crawled out of a shallow grave.
The bags under your eyes were so deep they should’ve been classified as emotional baggage, and you felt like you had spent the entire night being run over by the concept of feelings.
Vil was ignoring it.
You could see it in the way he didn’t so much as glance at you, the way he casually sipped his tea as if the two of you hadn’t shared something unbearably raw just hours ago.
Fine. If this was how he wanted to play it, you’d let him.
But you were going to make him break first.
The first move was subtle. Elegant. A test of control.
Vil had just finished cutting his breakfast into perfect, bite-sized pieces, his every movement effortlessly precise. You watched as he lifted a forkful of omelet to his lips, gaze still fixated on his newspaper, when you struck.
“Can I have a bite?” you asked.
He barely looked at you. “Then take one.”
And so you did.
Only instead of reaching for your own fork like a normal human being, you leaned over and took a bite straight from his.
Vil froze.
You chewed slowly, deliberately, your eyes locking with his over the rim of his teacup.
“Not bad,” you mused, as if you hadn’t just committed the equivalent of social treason.
There was a long, painful silence.
Then, very, very carefully, Vil set down his teacup.
“Do not step into my personal space.” His voice was calm, measured, betraying only the faintest trace of strain.
You hummed, tapping your fork against the table. “Didn’t seem to bother you last night.”
His fingers tightened around his utensils.
You smiled.
Point, you.
The second move was bolder. Personal.
Vil was seated on the couch, a book resting delicately in his hands. The warm afternoon light spilled through the windows, painting golden edges along his profile, catching on the fine lines of his perfectly manicured fingers.
Without hesitation, you walked over and collapsed onto the couch, resting your head directly in his lap.
Vil stiffened.
You tilted your head up, looking at him with a lazy grin. “Comfy.”
He stared at you, utterly still, like a man standing at the edge of a cliff, contemplating whether to jump or push you off first.
The moment stretched, long and uncertain, and for a second you thought maybe he’d shove you away.
Then—slowly, painstakingly—he inhaled.
And turned a page.
Didn’t acknowledge you. Didn’t say a word.
But he didn’t move you.
You grinned.
Point, you.
The third move was cheating, really.
Vil was cooking dinner, standing at the stove with an almost infuriating level of grace. Even in exile, even in a safe house, he carried himself like a king in his palace—untouchable, unreachable.
So naturally, you did what any sane person would do.
You walked right up behind him, wrapped your arms around his waist, and leaned into him completely.
Vil jerked.
You felt the sharp inhale he took, the way his shoulders went taut as you pressed against him.
Then, with the ease of someone who had made a career out of pushing buttons, you tilted your head so your chin rested on his shoulder.
“Smells good,” you murmured, voice warm with amusement.
Vil did not breathe.
Then, with painstaking care, he raised his spatula and flicked it back toward your face.
You dodged it, laughing. “What, no taste test?”
“What is wrong with you today?” His voice was sharp, an edge of something dangerously close to exasperation.
You blinked up at him innocently. “What do you mean?”
Vil turned, and finally—you saw it.
The tightness in his jaw, the flicker of something raw in his eyes, the way his fingers trembled ever so slightly where they gripped the spatula.
For one, breathless second, you thought—
But then he let out a slow breath, stepping away from your hold.
His voice was cool, measured. “Dinner will be ready soon.”
Your fingers twitched.
So close. So close.
You stepped back, watching as he turned back to the stove, his grip on the spatula tighter than necessary.
Fine. You could wait.
But Vil was going to break.
And when he did—
You weren’t going to let him run.
Somehow this was his breaking point.
Not the stolen bites of food, not the way you laid your head in his lap, not the way you pressed against him while he cooked. No, it wasn’t any of those things that made Vil finally shatter.
It was this.
The moment was so casual, so simple, that for a split second you thought you had gotten away with it.
You had leaned over, plucked his juice from his hands, and taken a slow, deliberate sip from his straw—like it was the most natural thing in the world.
And for the first time in days, Vil did not react with cold, cutting silence.
No, he reacted violently.
Before you could even lower the glass, he was on you.
A sharp inhale. The scrape of a chair against the floor. Then suddenly, you were caged against the wall, his arms bracketing you in, his breath warm against your cheek as he loomed over you.
His usual icy composure was gone.
And in its place—
Raw, unfiltered emotion.
“Are you having fun?” His voice was low, rough, his usual clipped elegance ruined by the way his words trembled with frustration.
You blinked up at him, heart hammering, lips still parted from your sip. “Vil—”
“No.” His hands slammed against the wall beside you, cutting off your escape. His whole body was tense, vibrating with barely restrained emotion. “Answer me.” His voice cracked, his breath uneven. “Are you enjoying this? Playing with my feelings? Toying with me like I—”
You stilled.
He wasn’t just mad.
He was hurting.
You opened your mouth, a thousand things on the tip of your tongue, but before you could speak, his expression twisted into something desperate, something almost—broken.
“Do you think this is a game?” His voice was sharper now, his hands clenching into fists against the wall. “Do you enjoy making me hope? Every time you throw yourself into danger—every time you let me hold you, let me want you—you make me believe that maybe—”
His breath hitched.
Then he tore his gaze away, his jaw tightening like he was swallowing something down.
“Why do you do this?” he whispered, raw and vulnerable. “Why do you make me hope when I know you’re going to leave? This is unbearably cruel, even for you.”
The words slammed into you like a gut punch.
“Vil—”
“I know how you are.” His voice was unsteady, his fists trembling. “You live for chaos. For danger. You chase after thrills like you can’t survive without them, and I—” He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “I can’t—I won’t be left behind.” His voice cracked. “Not by you.”
Something inside you wrenched at the sheer grief in his voice.
He had been holding this in for so, so long.
And you had pushed him too far.
Slowly, carefully, you reached out.
Your hands found his face, fingers brushing over his cheekbones, tracing the fine tremble in his jaw. He flinched—once, like he was afraid to believe in your touch—but then he melted into it, the fight in his shoulders loosening just slightly.
“Vil,” you whispered, letting your thumb stroke against his cheek. “I’m not playing with you.”
His eyes flickered up to yours, uncertain, vulnerable.
“You’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.” Your voice was steady, sure. “Who else could match me like you do?”
Vil swallowed hard. His lips parted, but no words came out.
You leaned in, so close that your breaths mingled.
“I don’t intend to run,” you murmured. “You’re stuck with me for life, you know.”
He broke.
A shattered breath—then his lips crashed against yours.
The kiss was messy, desperate, perfect.
His hands dug into your back, pulling you impossibly close, like he was afraid you’d disappear if he let go. Your fingers tangled into his hair, anchoring him, grounding him, whispering without words: I’m here. I’m not leaving.
When he pulled back, his lips were swollen, his breath ragged. His eyes searched yours, like he needed to confirm it, to believe it.
And then, with a rough, shuddering exhale, he grabbed your wrist—
And pulled you toward the bedroom.
You didn’t resist.
Because some things weren’t meant to be said.
Some things were meant to be shown.
The moment Rook and Epel stepped into the safe house, Epel froze.
It was comical, really—the way his eyes widened, the way his mouth fell open, the way he looked at you like he had just witnessed a crime far worse than anything you’d ever committed.
Because, well.
No coat could hide the marks Vil had left on your neck.
They weren’t subtle.
Not in the slightest.
Epel’s expression was caught between horrified and deeply impressed. His lips moved, but no words came out, and you could see the moment his brain short-circuited.
So naturally, you grinned at him and winked.
Epel made a noise that could only be described as distress.
Meanwhile, Rook—oh, Rook—
He was delighted.
His eyes sparkled, his entire face alight with unrestrained joy, as if the mere confirmation of your relationship was the greatest artistic masterpiece he had ever laid eyes upon.
“Ah, l’amour! The greatest conquest of all!” Rook clasped his hands together, practically vibrating with excitement. “Such passion, such fervor! I knew this would come to pass—what is fate, if not an arrow that flies true to its mark?”
Vil, to his credit, only sighed, adjusting his sunglasses as if they could somehow shield him from Rook’s theatrics.
You, on the other hand, laughed.
And maybe it was because you were happy.
Because for once in your life, you weren’t running.
The drive back to Vil’s base was filled with Rook waxing poetic about the beauty of love, Epel staring out the window as if trying to erase the past ten minutes from his memory, and you, leaning against Vil with a smile that you couldn’t quite hide.
When you arrived, when the car door closed behind you, when the others left to give you both a moment—Vil turned to you.
His gaze was steady, unreadable.
And then—softly, carefully—
“Would you consider moving in with me?”
Your breath caught.
Because it wasn’t just an invitation.
A silent plea that meant stay.
Stay with me.
Stay, even though you have every reason to run.
Stay, even though we’re both tangled in this life of chaos, of crime, of things we can’t undo.
Stay, because I love you.
And you—
You laughed.
Because it was so Vil to ask something like that with all the grace and poise of someone discussing a business deal, despite the warmth in his voice, despite the way his fingers lingered against yours.
You laced your hand with his, squeezing gently.
“Of course,” you murmured. “You’re stuck with me forever now. Crimes and all.”
Vil exhaled—relief, affection, something deeper.
And then, just before pulling you in—before pressing his lips to yours, before kissing you like he meant it, like he had no intention of letting you go—
He smiled.

One Bed, Two Problems

Jeongin x reader / enemies to lovers / only one bed / smut / possessive!Jeongin
**involves!!** sex, dirty talk, cursing, rough sex, Insulting / pain kink, cursing
enjoy xx (open for request)
★.•☆•.★★.•☆•.★¸.•☆•.¸★ skzstarl0ver ★⡀.•☆•.★⡀.•☆•.★¸.•☆•.¸★
You don’t remember when exactly it started — this thing between you and Jeongin.
Maybe it was that first time he rolled his eyes at something you said during a game night, or the way he’d always challenge you on the most mundane things. What movie to watch. Who made the best ramen. The right way to fold laundry. Every moment between you turned into a petty argument — but the weird part?
It never really pissed you off. It exhilarated you. You craved it.
Which is why this trip with the friend group was already risky. You didn’t need to be around Jeongin for seven straight days, sharing vans and meals and long stares across group dinners. But you never expected this.
“We have a little mix-up in the booking,” the hotel receptionist said sweetly. “Looks like… one bed in the room for you two.”
Jeongin laughed. Actually laughed. And that smug little dimple popped.
“Perfect,” he said. “Y/N snores anyway. I’ll suffer through it.”
You spun toward him. “I do not snore.”
“Sure, baby. Whatever gets you through the night.”
You could’ve punched him right there. Instead, you grabbed the key and stormed off.
Now it’s 12:37 a.m. and you're lying as close to the edge of the bed as humanly possible, gripping your phone like it’s a lifeline.
Jeongin is on the other side — same position. Same tension. Same awareness.
Every rustle of the sheets feels like an earthquake.
You toss onto your back and exhale sharply. “Can you stop moving?”
“I’m not moving.”
“You’re breathing loud.”
“It’s called being alive, princess.”
You groan, covering your face with your arm. “I hate this.”
He chuckles under his breath, voice low and far too hot in the dark. “No you don’t.”
You peek at him. “Excuse me?”
“You love fighting with me,” he says lazily, one arm tucked behind his head. “You’d be bored if I stopped.”
You roll your eyes. “Trust me, I dream of silence.”
He hums. “Do you dream of me too?”
That silences you.
For a full beat, neither of you says a word.
“…You wish,” you finally murmur.
But it comes out too soft. Too shaky. And he hears it.
He shifts, and you feel the bed dip as he turns onto his side to face you.
“You know what I think?” he whispers.
You don’t answer. You don’t breathe.
“I think you hate me because you can’t stand how badly you want me.”
Your chest tightens. Your heart is racing, hammering. You can’t look at him.
“Don’t flatter yourself.”
“Oh, baby,” he murmurs, voice brushing the shell of your ear, “if I was flattering myself, you’d be begging already.”
You turn, ready to throw another insult, but the words die the second you meet his eyes.
God. His face is so close. Lips parted. Eyes darker than you’ve ever seen them. That cocky confidence is still there, but it’s coated with something else now.
Desire.
Raw and real and hungry.
“You want me to shut up?” he whispers.
You swallow hard.
“Then make me.”
You don’t know who moves first — maybe both of you. Maybe the universe finally snapped and said enough — but your lips crash like a storm.
It’s not sweet. It’s heat. Tongues, teeth, years of teasing and tension unraveling all at once. His hands tangle in your hair, your fingers clutch his hoodie like you need something to anchor you. Every kiss is a battle and a surrender all at once.
When you break apart, breathless, his forehead presses to yours.
“I knew it,” he whispers.
“You’re so cocky,” you pant.
“You like it.”
You kiss him again just to shut him up. This time slower. More desperate. You feel his hand slide under your shirt, warm against your skin, and your breath catches.
“I should hate you,” you whisper.
He smirks against your throat. “You do.”
“But I want you.”
“I know.”
You don’t remember who yanked whose shirt off first.
All you know is that one second you were clawing at each other’s clothes like animals, and the next he had you pinned to the mattress, body heavy over yours, lips swollen from kissing you stupid.
“You gonna whine the whole time?” he growls, dragging his mouth along your jaw.
You squirm beneath him. “Depends. You gonna fuck like you argue?”
His smirk is pure sin. “You want me to be nice?”
“God, no.”
He grins — but it’s feral now. Dangerous.
“Good,” he mutters, “because I don’t do nice with brats like you.”
His hand wraps around your throat — not tight, just enough to make you freeze. To make your breath hitch.
“Always mouthing off,” he says, eyes locked on yours. “Always so fucking annoying. You need to be put in your place.”
And then his mouth is on yours again, biting, claiming, owning.
You gasp as he flips you over, chest to the bed now, his weight pressing you down. You feel his teeth scrape your shoulder, and you moan — loud, shameless.
“You like that?” he whispers, fingers sliding between your legs. “Didn’t think a stuck-up princess like you could be so wet for someone she ‘hates.’”
“I do hate you,” you breathe.
He laughs against your skin, nipping your ear.
“Liar.”
You feel him rutting against your ass, hard through his boxers, and you push back just to feel him groan.
“Look at you,” he murmurs. “So desperate. So cocky all day, and now you’re just begging for it.”
You try to turn your head but he grabs a fistful of your hair, yanking it back — just enough to make you moan again.
“Say it,” he growls.
You shiver. “Say what?”
“That you want me. That you need me.”
You grit your teeth. “Never.”
He laughs again — dark and low and absolutely wrecking you.
“Fine,” he mutters, lining himself up behind you. “I’ll fuck the truth out of you.”
And when he thrusts in, hard and deep, your brain short-circuits.
You cry out into the pillow, hands clawing at the sheets. He doesn't give you time to adjust — and you don’t want it. You want it raw. You want it rough. You want him.
Every thrust knocks the air out of your lungs. He leans down, chest to your back, one hand tangled in your hair, the other gripping your hip like he’s scared you’ll vanish.
“You take me so well,” he growls. “Bet you’ve thought about this every night after we argued, huh? Bet you played with yourself thinking about how good I’d fuck you.”
You moan, helpless.
“Oh my god—”
“What was that?” he taunts. “No more snarky comebacks now?”
He reaches down, fingers circling your clit while he keeps thrusting. You arch like a live wire, crying out for him. Your entire body trembles.
“You close already, baby?” he whispers in your ear. “I’m not even close to done.”
You choke on a moan, tears pricking your eyes.
“Fuck, Jeongin—!”
“Say it,” he demands again, voice sharp.
Your pride is barely holding on — but your body? Your body is screaming for him.
“I need you,” you finally cry. “F-fuck—please—Jeongin—”
He groans at that, slamming into you harder, relentless. You’re so close it’s painful.
“God, look at you,” he breathes, watching your body quake beneath him. “My bratty little problem. So fucking perfect like this.”
His hand grabs your jaw, turning your face toward him just enough so he can kiss you while you fall apart.
And when you do, it’s earth-shattering.
You moan his name like a prayer, like a curse, and he follows with a low growl of your name, burying himself deep, shaking against you as he loses control.
The room is filled with panting, sweat, tangled sheets, and the aftershock of a storm you both saw coming — but still couldn’t prepare for.
You're still catching your breath when he pulls out, breath heavy, hand sliding slowly down your back. You're both slick with sweat, clothes tossed somewhere across the room, and your thighs are still trembling.
You don’t speak — you can’t. Your brain is fogged with pleasure and chaos and something dangerous that tastes a lot like need.
Jeongin lies beside you, propped on one elbow, staring. His skin is flushed, hair a mess, lips red from kissing — and biting.
“Didn’t think you’d actually say it,” he says finally, voice rough.
You blink at him.
“Say what?”
“That you needed me.”
You scoff, rolling to your side, back to him. “Shut up.”
He smirks — you can hear it.
“You’re such a brat.”
You’re about to shoot back something petty — “At least I’m not obsessed with me.” — but then he’s grabbing your waist, flipping you effortlessly onto your back.
You yelp. “Jeongin—!”
“I’m not done with you,” he growls.
Your breath catches. Your legs fall open without permission.
“You came so pretty for me,” he mutters, dragging his fingers down your inner thigh. “But I want to see you fall apart again. I wanna see how messy I can make you.”
You swallow hard. “Again?”
“Oh, baby,” he murmurs, “you started this.”
And then he’s kissing you again — deeper this time. Less anger, more claiming. Like he needs to remind you who you just begged for.
His tongue slides into your mouth as his fingers slip between your legs — still so sensitive, so soaked — and you whimper instantly.
“Still wet for me?” he teases.
“I hate you,” you breathe.
He smiles darkly. “No you don’t.”
Two fingers push in deep. Your back arches. You gasp.
“You love this,” he says, voice like gravel. “Love being split open by the guy you pretend to hate.”
He leans in, mouth brushing your ear.
“You like when I treat you like a toy, don’t you?”
You whine.
“You like it when I ruin you.”
You don’t answer — can’t — because his mouth is moving lower now, trailing kisses down your chest, nipping a path along your ribs, licking the sensitive spot just beneath your breast.
Then lower.
And lower.
And you already know what’s coming.
But when his tongue touches you — slow, deliberate, possessive — your hips jerk off the bed.
“Fuck—Jeongin—!”
His hands grip your thighs tight, holding you in place.
“Don’t run,” he murmurs. “You’re not going anywhere.”
He eats you like he’s starving — like he’s addicted. Like every moan out of your mouth makes him harder.
And god, he’s relentless.
He flattens his tongue, circles your clit, then sucks — and you almost scream.
“Jeongin—oh my god—”
Your fingers knot in his hair, pulling — but he just groans into you, the vibration making your vision blur.
“You’re gonna come again,” he growls. “Right on my face. Like the needy little problem you are.”
You do. Harder than the first time. Writhing, sobbing, wrecked.
But before you can even come down, he’s crawling back up, lips shiny, eyes dark.
“You’re not done,” he says.
You blink. “I—”
He kisses you, slow and filthy. “I’m not done.”
You feel him line up again, and this time, he doesn’t ease in. He slams into you in one long stroke, and your mouth drops open in a silent moan.
“Jeongin—please—”
“Yeah?” he pants. “What do you want?”
“You—fuck—you—harder—”
He grabs your wrists, pins them above your head, and starts pounding.
The bed creaks.
Your cries echo.
And Jeongin just keeps going.
“Mine,” he grits. “You’re mine tonight. Say it.”
You sob, body barely holding on.
“*Yours—*fuck—I’m yours—”
“Good fucking girl.”
And that’s when you snap.
You fall apart beneath him — again — tighter, messier, more ruined than before. He curses, stutters a breath, and follows, hips jerking, burying himself deep.
You both collapse in silence.
Breathless.
Shaking.
Destroyed.
_
You wake up to the worst sound imaginable.
Knocking. Loud. Rapid. Too damn early.
“Rise and shine, lovebirds!” Chan’s voice calls from the hallway, sing-songy and unforgiving.
Jeongin groans from behind you, burying his face between your shoulder blades. “I hate him.”
You whisper, “He doesn’t know—right?”
“Not unless you screamed really loud.”
You punch his arm. He just laughs.
But panic is very real now. You sit up, immediately clutching the blanket to your chest.
“Jeongin. What if someone heard us? What if they know?”
He props himself up on one elbow, messy hair, lips swollen, the faintest bite mark still on his neck.
“Then let them.”
You gape at him. “What happened to keeping it lowkey?!”
He grins, stretching. “You’re the one who said ‘Jeongin, harder, please—’”
“JEONGIN.” You throw a pillow at his face, shrieking.
He catches it, laughing as he drags you back into the sheets.
“I’m kidding. Relax,” he murmurs, pressing a soft kiss behind your ear. “We’re cool.”
Spoiler alert: You are NOT cool.
20 Minutes Later — Downstairs at Breakfast
You walk into the hotel café like you’ve never sinned a day in your life.
You are showered, dressed, dead-eyed, and pretending like Jeongin didn’t have you folded in half against a headboard exactly eight hours ago.
But the second you slide into the booth with the rest of the group, all conversation stops.
Chan stares at you.
Felix blinks.
Hyunjin looks between you and Jeongin like he’s watching a reality show finale.
“So,” Minho says, sipping his coffee, eyes sharp. “Sleep well?”
You almost choke on your orange juice.
Jeongin clears his throat and starts buttering a croissant like it’s a weapon.
“Fine,” you mutter. “Normal. Totally average.”
Seungmin raises a brow. “Right. Because totally average sleep ends with you wearing his hoodie to breakfast.”
You glance down. Shit.
Jeongin looks up with the fakest innocence you’ve ever seen. “Oops.”
Felix leans in, chin resting on his hands. “You guys were fighting so much yesterday. But now you’re all…” he gestures vaguely between you, “glowy.”
“Did you guys…” Hyunjin pauses. “Work out your tension?”
Minho: “With communication? Or—”
Jeongin: “—Body language.”
You whip your head around. “OH MY GOD.”
The entire table bursts into screaming laughter.
“You guys totally fucked!” Chan yells, slapping the table. “I knew it!”
“I heard moaning,” Hyunjin gasps.
“I thought someone was being murdered,” Seungmin adds casually.
You hide your face in your hands. “I am never showing my face again.”
But then you feel it — Jeongin’s hand slipping under the table, resting on your thigh. Quiet. Comforting. Yours.
And you peek at him. He’s smiling down at his plate, cheeks a little red, but eyes only on you.
He squeezes your leg gently.
And suddenly?
The shame melts away.
Because this isn’t just about last night anymore.
This is about what’s next. (pt.2??)

meet cute, but worse
part - 1
word count - 5.1k
pairing - paige bueckers x azzi fudd
c/w - alcohol, throwup, mostly chaos lol. very very unserious.
a/n - my first piece in all lowercase letters and tell me why it was easier to write that way😔. anyway will release the other part to this before releasing anything else. can’t tell you when that will be, i’m booked and busy for awhile but i lowkey love this so i wanna keep writing sooner rather than later! based off this prompt 🙂↕️
(also, live reacts and feedback are very much appreciated 😛)
(also also, very unedited)
this night could not possibly get any worse.
with a face of ruined makeup, a lost wallet, and a chlorine-soaked designer dress, azzi fudd really begins regretting her decision to come on this cruise with chad at all.
especially considering chad—aka the guy who convinced her to come on the cruise, aka her boyfriend, aka the man who’s supposed to stay by her side and lead her through crowded rooms with a steady hand on her waist and buy all her drinks—has officially disappeared. and now here she is, standing outside the women’s bathroom wondering where her boyfriend, who’d promised to wait for her, has gone.
furious, azzi whips her phone out of her purse (both of which are still miraculously on her person, despite her horrible luck) and immediately dials her boyfriend’s number. if he doesn’t pick up on the first goddamn ring, azzi swears to god she’ll—
it goes to voicemail.
with a frustrated grunt, azzi sends him a quick, casual text: if you don’t get your ass to the room right fucking now i swear to god chad we’re over.
satisfied with that, azzi stuffs her phone back into her purse, runs a hand over her wet braids, and begins to make the treacherous journey back to her suite.
it’s midnight, which means all the minors on the ship have officially been sent to their rooms and all the adults have ventured to their various adult activities: r-rated comedy shows, drunken karaoke, and, for the younger adults, the nightclub.
it’s an indoor club, with strobe lights and surprisingly good music and amazing drinks. there’s a pool, and a bar, and some nice bathrooms.
it is this very bathroom—and this very nightclub—that azzi makes her way out of. it’s slow, and difficult, the club packed with inebriated bodies who seem determined to keep her from leaving. as she moves through the crowd, a few people give her strange looks, or stop to ask her why her dress is sopping wet. she ignores them all. if she didn’t, she’s not sure she’d have nice things to say.
she’s nearly at the exit when there’s a commotion directly behind her. against her better judgment, azzi pauses, turning to see where the loud, rambunctious noises are coming from. she regrets her decision to do so almost immediately—it’s nothing interesting, really. just a group of tall, clearly wasted girls playfully fighting with each other. based off the way they’re (badly) singing, they obviously know the song blasting over the speakers. almost all of them have drinks in their hands and azzi can’t help but roll her eyes at the way they’re hyping each other up.
even looking at them has azzi overwhelmed—she needs to get out of here. needs to get back to the comfort of her room, where she can pull herself together and chew chad out and get a good night’s sleep.
but, just as she resumes her exit, a body slams directly into her. she’s knocked off guard and absolutely helpless in the heels she stupidly put on earlier this evening, and she lets herself fall back into the rambunctious girls with something akin to resignation. this is it. this is my life now.
luckily, a few hands shoot out to brace her as she tumbles directly into their dance session. this means she doesn’t land on her ass, which is a good thing, but it also means she is currently being touched by, like, 12 different hands, which is a very, very bad sensory thing.
once she’s righted, azzi rips herself away from their grasps as calmly as anyone can rip away from something, and finds herself in the midst of their little circle.
“my bad,” she calls over the music, hugging her arms around herself in order to keep from bumping into any more sweaty bodies. “i got pushed and—“
“you okay, girlypop?” one of the girls says.
“yeah, that looked scary!” another younger, wide-eyed girl yells over the music.
azzi tries to reassure them, but they all start talking over one another at once, asking if she’s okay and apologizing and wondering if she wants to hang out for a drink and azzi backs up, imperceptibly, trying to escape from these drunk girls—but she bumps into someone else in doing so.
from then on, it happens in slow motion.
azzi turns around.
she catches a vision of blonde hair, someone slightly taller than she is.
she prepares herself to mumble an apology.
and then, with horrifyingly little warning, blondie bends over and pukes.
directly. on. azzi’s. shoes.
“oh my god!” azzi can’t help but cry, jumping back instinctively, and the other girls yell out with her.
“oh, shit!” the girl from earlier—one of the shorter of the group, the one with twists—jumps over to stand in between the puker and azzi. she puts her hand on the still bent-over woman’s shoulders. “boogs! what the hell!”
azzi thinks the woman might mumble in response, but she can’t hear much at all over the music. and she’s also a little preoccupied staring in shock at the bile on her feet.
with a sigh, the other girl spins around to face azzi. “i am so sorry, girl. she been acting crazy all night and honestly—we shouldn’t’a even let her out.” she tries for a good-natured laugh, but azzi just stares at her, mouth agape.
“right, guys?” the girl continues nervously, but then looks around and apparently realizes that the rest of her friend group have ditched her to take care of the awkward moment. she makes an offended noise. “fake bitches,” she mumbles.
with a little shuffle, the girl comes to stand beside her obviously ill friend, grabbing her by the shoulder and patting her on the chest. “so, uh, p, i get you’re going through it right now, baby, i really do. but you just threw up on this nice lady so i think maybe we should focus on one thing at a time.”
it’s only then that azzi’s attacker finally straightens up. her hands are placed firmly over her stomach, and her face is streaked with mascara—not to mention her complexion is slightly green.
but azzi recognizes her instantly.
and, despite the fact this girl is obviously not in her right mind, she recognizes azzi, too.
“paige?” azzi says incredulously, at the same time paige slurs, “oh, no.”
the other girl looks between them a little nervously, unsure of what to do next.
except, no, she’s not the other girl. she’s kk arnold, azzi recognizes now. guard at uconn.
and those other girls…fuck. azzi replays the memory in her mind, now with their faces attached to her resurfaced knowledge. they weren’t just some group of college girls.
azzi has had a run-in with the uconn women’s basketball team.
and she’s just been thrown up on by none other than paige fucking bueckers.
so much for getting a good nights sleep tonight.
—————————————
“so, remind me how y’all know each other?” kk says as they walk up to paige’s room. she has an arm around paige’s waist, fully supporting her, and she doesn’t look all too fazed by tonight’s events. azzi gets the feeling paige throwing up on people might be a regular event. which is just…awful.
paige answers with a groan.
sighing, azzi rubs her temple, trying desperately to ignore the smell of sick wafting up from her feet. “usa basketball. we played together.”
“oh,” kk responds. “you play?”
azzi doesn’t answer, just waits. paige elbows kk. kk says, “ow!” paige says, “kk, get your head out of your ass and look at her.”
so, kk does. she looks at her for the first time since they left the club, now under the bright hallway lights rather than the dim, strobing club ones. and it’s only a moment before realization dawns on her face. “oh, shoot! paige!” she stops dead in her tracks, letting go of paige to face her. “girl, that’s azzi fudd!”
“i know, kk,” paige mumbles.
kk turns to azzi. “you say y’all played together, what, 2018?”
“2017,” azzi and paige correct at the same time. azzi tries to meet her eyes, but paige has had her head hung low this entire time. she’s either sick or deeply disturbed or both. likely both.
they continue walking, and azzi recalls her time at camp. the memories are a little hazy, faded as all memories are. but she remembers paige—how could she not? the only girl who really gave her a run for her money, the only girl who met her competitiveness head-on. they played—well, they played amazingly together, oddly enough. azzi remembers she never really wanted to talk to the girl, who seemed loud and arrogant and overwhelming. but their chemistry on the court, without ever speaking to each other, was incredible.
she does have one very clear memory: the plane ride back. she’d been sitting in her seat, ready for the flight, when paige had hesitated beside her while walking down the aisle.
azzi had looked up, curious. “hi.”
paige’s cheeks had flushed bright red, which seemed completely out of character for the girl azzi had thought she was. “oh, uh. hey.”
azzi stayed silent.
paige scratched the back of her neck awkwardly. “hey, i, um.” it looked like she was trying to convince herself to say something—almost like she was building courage to say it. a little flicker of something bubbled in azzi’s chest. anticipation, maybe? she doesn’t know; she’s never been able to figure out what that feeling meant.
all she knows is she felt disappointment when paige had sighed defeatedly and said, “can i put my bag in your overhead?”
she’d nodded. paige had said thank you. and they’ve never spoken again.
“yeah, yeah,” kk waves them off, hauling paige the rest of the way down the hall. “whatever. basically, i’m tryna say, it’s been seven years since then, right?”
azzi presses the up button, then leans against the wall. “yeah…”
“well, paige has had a massive crush on you for about eight of them.”
in an instant, kk is turned around, paige’s front pressed to her back as they lowkey wrestle. paige has a hand slapped over kk’s mouth, but that doesn’t stop her evil cackling from coming through.
paige glances over her shoulder. “she’s lying.”
azzi watches the commotion, and thinks such a scene wouldn’t have been made if kk was really lying. “uh-huh.”
“serious,” paige insists. it’s the most emotion azzi has heard from her tonight.
“okay.” the door dings open, and azzi sucks in a deep breath, being the first to step inside. “well, uh…”
kk wrangles out of paige’s grip, walking somewhat sassily into the elevator. “yeah, let’s go. p!”
paige glowers at them across the threshold.
“c’mon, girly. get in here.”
they have to hold the doors open, but eventually, and not looking particularly happy about it, paige steps inside.
azzi begins to regret agreeing to go to her room with them.
————————————
“ok, take those shoes off, stink,” kk instructs as soon as they enter paige’s suite. azzi doesn’t hesitate to comply, slipping out of her heels without looking at them, careful not to dip her toes in any throw-up. although she’s sure there are more than a few fangirls who’d sell their soul for some paige bueckers bodily fluids.
once she’s out of them, she hovers by the door awkwardly, and kk and paige exchange a glance. they obviously have some sort of silent conversation within the second-long look, because it has kk laughing. “you’re funny.”
“please,” paige murmurs.
“hell, no. you puke it, you nuke it.”
“that doesn’t rhyme, stupid-head.”
azzi watches them, a small, amused smile coming over her face despite herself.
“wait, what?” kk says, leaning her ear towards Paige.
“i said—“
“ever,” kk interrupts with a wide grin. “now go nuke those nasty shoes, for real.” kk glances at azzi and gives her a once-over before saying, “and get fudd-fudd some dry clothes while you’re at it.”
leaning down, paige grabs the shoes by the heels and grumbles something as she disappears into the bedroom. once she’s gone, kk ushers azzi further inside, leading her into the kitchen. “so,” she says, wiggling her eyebrows. “you in love with her yet, or what?”
azzi scoffs. “she’s not exactly charming.”
“oh, no, she real charming.” kk glances at the closed bedroom door, then leans forward, motioning for azzi to step closer. when she does, kk lowers her voice. “she just gets nervous around you.”
“i haven’t talked to paige in years,” azzi says, a little confused. a crush, she understands—many people have had crushes on azzi before. but no way paige gets nervous around her, when they’re never even around each other to begin with.
“nah, but you notice how we’ve never won a game against y’all?” kk asks.
“yeah.” of course azzi’s noticed. most people have—uconn is the team to beat, but in the four years azzi’s been in college, they’ve never once won against ucla.
“ever wonder why?”
“because we’re better than you,” azzi responds all too quickly.
kk makes an unamused face at her. “no, it’s because paige is too busy having wet fantasies about you instead of playing the damn game.“
azzi waves this off. “excuses.”
“i’m being serious.” kk nudges her in the arm, then pulls her a little closer, once again lowering her voice. “and you wanna know something else?”
azzi sighs like she doesn’t, but really, she does—she’s always been too nosey for her own good. “tell me.”
“every girl p’s ever hooked up with is a mixed baller with curly hair and brown eyes. and if she has dimples, paige lets her stay the night.”
azzi downright barks out a laugh at this one. “i’m starting to think you’re making all this shit up.”
“just watch,” kk says cryptically. “you’ll see.”
azzi wants to ask more—like, is it confirmed that paige has wet fantasies about her?—but the bedroom door opens and azzi turns her head to see paige standing in the doorway, a pair of clothes bundled in her arms. azzi does her best to keep a straight face but she must look a little guilty because paige narrows her eyes at them. “what were y’all talking about?”
“how i been constipated lately,” kk says a little too quickly. azzi valiantly keeps her expression neutral. “azzi was giving me advice.”
azzi nods somberly. paige looks borderline mortified, which is not a look azzi ever thought she’d see on someone like her. “can you try to be cool for once?” she asks kk.
“you’re the one who puked on her,” kk says. “if she could get scared away, she wouldn’t be here.”
paige sighs, stepping closer, into the kitchen with them. her cheeks are tinged pink, from alcohol or kk’s antics or—maybe something else, azzi thinks as paige avoids eye contact with her while handing over the pair of clothes. “uh, here.”
“thanks,” azzi says. she reaches for the clothes, letting her right hand just brush paige’s own before pulling back, watching for a reaction. there’s not much, but when paige’s hands are free, she shakes out the right one as if she’s been shocked.
azzi makes a little mental note. interesting. very interesting.
“you can change, um, back there,” paige says, throwing a thumb back over her shoulder before scratching awkwardly at her neck. “or, like, wherever, i’on care.”
azzi’s eyebrows raise on their own accord. paige opens her mouth, then closes it, then says, “i mean, you could also go to the bathroom or sum’. obviously you shouldn’t change, like, here. that’d be—weird.“
“riiiight,” azzi drawls, a small, amused smile playing on her face.
“so, uh, yeah.” paige sidesteps, motioning for azzi to pass. “go ‘head.”
——————————————
once she’s on her own, she takes it in—the privacy, the quiet. it’s been a long fucking night. she cannot wait to get to her own room and just sleep.
well, she’ll need a shower first. shower, then sleep. or maybe she’ll even indulge in a bath. the mere thought of it has her shoulders relaxing.
but then, her phone buzzes inside her purse. and her shoulders are tense all over again, because that’s got to be chad—texting her back thirty minutes late—and since when does she want to deal with chad?
a bit reluctantly, she pulls her phone out of her purse. it’s only at five percent and so she ignores all her other notifications, going straight to she and chad’s messages.
sure enough, he’s just responded to her last text: sorry baby, got caught up lmfaooo. you tryna fuck tn?
and then, sry for pushing u in the pool fr
waiting for you in da room
well, fuck.
that’s the first thing that crosses azzi’s mind. because, after the shit he’s pulled tonight—and every other night in the two months they’ve been together, honestly—they’re over. she’s done. which means she’ll either have to fight with him for their room for the rest of the trip, or sleep by the goddamn pool. and confrontation has never been her thing.
tossing her phone onto the bed, azzi discards of her purse, as well, before reaching behind herself to unzip her dress. her day might have been shit, but at least she finally gets to take this stupid dress off.
she fumbles a little before grabbing hold of the zipper. she pulls, and it gives about an inch before abruptly stopping.
furrowing her eyebrows, azzi pinches the zipper harder between her fingertips. pull, give. stop.
“shit,” azzi murmurs. this time, when she tries again, it doesn’t give at all, just says firmly stuck in place.
she already knows pulling it over her head or down her hips is out of the question—the dress shrunk like two sizes in the water. no way this thing is making it over her hips or shoulders without some leeway. so now here she is, stranded in the middle of paige bueckers’ room with a soaking wet dress and a broken zipper.
she considers marching out of this place without another word, going to her own room, fighting briefly with chad over it, and then cutting the damn thing off. but then she’d have to walk, shoeless, through the entire ship. and confrontation still isn’t her thing.
sighing, azzi tucks away her pride and goes over to the door, peeking her head out. the girls are still in the kitchen. paige’s back is turned, but azzi can see kk, and she has an amused smile on her face as they speak in hushed whispers. paige sounds mad about something.
azzi clears her throat.
paige visibly tenses, and kk’s smile only grows as she slowly turns around, looking very much afraid.
“uh,” azzi says, unsure what to make of the whole ordeal. “my zipper is stuck. i need help.”
god, please let kk volunteer, please let kk volunteer, no seriously, please let—
“paige volunteers as tribute,” kk says, shoving paige forward.
paige chokes. “no i don’t!”
“least you can do after throwing up on her,” kk says.
“that’s not fair,” paige argues. azzi would beg to differ, but she’s keeping her mouth firmly shut in the hopes of avoiding a potentially very awkward situation.
kk raises an eyebrow. paige sighs. then, resolve washes over her features, and azzi lets out a disappointed breath. fuck.
“okay, fine. sure.” paige is grumbling, eyes downcast as she heads toward the bedroom, and azzi shoots kk a dirty look before closing the door behind the two of them.
paige stands in the middle of the room, playing nervously with her fingers. azzi lets them sit in the awkward silence for a few moments before realizing paige is waiting for further direction.
“uh, yeah,” azzi says, stepping up to her before turning around. she grabs once again at the zipper, pulling it to show paige how stuck it is. “it’s not budging.”
paige takes a step closer, and azzi’s entire body tenses at the proximity. she doesn’t dare look over her shoulder, but she can feel paige, the drunken warmth radiating off her body, and she can hear her breathing. it’s without warning that paige’s fingers come to fiddle with the zipper, her knuckles brushing between azzi’s shoulder blades, and her body thrums with…something.
she is not usually like this when somebody has a crush on her. but she’s fresh off a self-proclaimed breakup and maybe that’s what’s making her feel so inexplicably tense.
“yeah,” paige says after giving the zipper a few tugs. “it definitely looks broken.”
azzi doesn’t say anything. every time she thinks she’s hit rock bottom, something else gets thrown at her. first the pool, then the throw-up, then a broken zipper. and through it all, chad. none of this would’ve happened if it weren’t for him, azzi thinks bitterly.
“we can try getting it off without unzipping it,” paige suggests. azzi turns her head to the side, not enough to see paige behind her, but enough to try and gain some composure. because paige implying that they will both pull this dress off of her leaves her warm.
“i already tried,” azzi says instead of agreeing, which is something she weirdly wants to do. despite knowing the dress won’t come off if it’s zipped, she wouldn’t mind letting paige try. maybe letting her pull the straps down her shoulders, or even lift the skirt over her hips…
okay, azzi. snap the fuck out of it.
in an attempt to salvage the situation, azzi blurts, “scissors.”
paige chokes. azzi closes her eyes in a silent acceptance of defeat. the universe is definitely out for her.
“wha—?” paige starts, but azzi doesn’t let her finish before whirling around with a casual smile, “i meant, we might need to get scissors. like, to cut the dress off.”
“oh,” paige says, her mouth forming a little ‘O’ of understanding. “okay. yeah. uh, you sure you wanna cut it?”
the thought of trying to save this dress is almost laughable. it may have been expensive, but it was also a gift from the very same man who ruined it by pushing her into the pool. “yeah,” she says. “positive.”
paige makes a face at the dark tone of azzi’s voice, but luckily doesn’t question it. “oo-kay,” she drawls, turning to the nightstand and rummaging through one of the drawers.
“so, uh,” paige says as she searches, “how’d your dress get like that, anyway?”
soaked. she means soaked. “got pushed into the pool,” azzi says.
“oh, shoot.” paige glances over her shoulder, eyebrows furrowed. “by who?”
“my boyfriend,” azzi says, nearly shuddering at the words. then, pleasantly, she remembers he’s not her boyfriend anymore—even though he doesn’t know that yet. “well, my ex-boyfriend.”
“your boyfriend pushed you in the pool?” paige asks. she sounds a little outraged, and, upon finding the scissors, she spins around with them in hand.
“ex-boyfriend,” azzi corrects. “i mean, as of a few minutes ago.”
“well, shit.” paige walks back over to her. “fuck him.”
azzi’s first reaction is to get defensive—she’s spent two months month defending chad to all her friends—but she doesn’t have to do that anymore, so instead she nods decisively. “yeah, fuck him.”
it’s then that paige smiles—the first time azzi’s seen it tonight—and it’s this shy, timid smile, so different from the overconfident, giddy one she gets in games. it’s clear she’s horrible at hiding her little crush and usually that would ick azzi out, but on paige it’s almost…endearing?
and for some reason, butterflies flutter in her tummy at the sight of it.
“okay,” azzi says, turning around in an attempt to crush the moment. “go ahead.”
“should i just cut along the zipper?” paige asks. azzi nods, motioning back towards herself. “do your worst.”
“alright,” paige says, a hint of doubt in her voice. she starts cutting nonetheless. azzi feels nothing but satisfaction at the first snip—she’s glad to be rid of this thing. when she gets home, she’ll burn everything else that fuckass man gave her, too. paige is, in a way, doing god’s work by cutting it.
“so,” paige says as she works. “what’s your boyfriend’s name?”
azzi winces. “uh, chad.”
paige pauses her snipping. “for real?”
“yeah,” azzi says sheepishly, before once again saying, “and he’s my ex-boyfriend.”
“right,” paige replies, tone thick with humor. “so, chad pushed you into the pool while you were wearing this nice dress. and then you broke up with him?”
“well…” azzi trails off—leave it to paige bueckers to make her feel dumb. “i mean, he disappeared on me afterwards, and then he didn’t respond to my texts until like ten minutes ago, so…”
“so he pushed you into the pool, acted crazy, and then you broke up with him.” paige says it like a statement, which makes azzi really hesitant to disclose the whole story.
“i mean, yeah,” she mutters.
paige picks up on the way the sentence lilts guiltily. “bruh.”
“i guess i haven’t actually broken up with him,” azzi is quick to say, paige’s judgmental gaze burning into the skin of her back. “but i did it in my head.”
“in your…” paige must think better of asking more questions, because she just sighs before pulling her hands away from azzi’s dress. “whatever, girl. i’m done.”
azzi turns to face her. “stop that.”
“stop what?”
“judging me.”
paige raises her eyebrows. “i’ll stop when you actually break up with him.”
it’s supposed to come as a joke, but for some reason, azzi takes it as a challenge. almost like she’d do anything for paige’s approval. which is stupid, because paige is clearly an unexpectedly dorky lesbian who just so happens to be hot and athletic.
(it won’t take long for azzi to realize she has a very specific taste in women.)
“fine,” azzi says. and then she, who has never been one to take life advice from virtual strangers, marches to the bed, grabs her phone, and navigates once again to chad’s contact. she tells herself it’s just so she’ll be able to sleep in their room tonight rather than avoiding him the rest of the trip. it’s not really true.
he answers on the fourth ring (typical). it’s nothing but a simple, “yo.” she hates him.
paige puts her hands on her hips, clearly a little surprised that azzi’s actually doing this, but daring her to see it through nonetheless. azzi switches to speakerphone. “chad,” she says, a little unsure of how to go about this. all of her previous breakups have been mutual, cordial. this…
oh, she hates him.
“wassup, baby.” he has the audacity to sound a little annoyed at being bothered, and azzi takes a deep breath to compose herself.
“chad, we gotta talk.”
there’s a long, dramatic sigh on the other end of the line. “is this about the pool? because if it’s about the pool it’s gotta wait ‘till tomorrow. i’m too tired for that shit.”
paige’s eyebrows disappear into her hairline, before furrowing in disbelief, her mouth dropping open a little.
azzi just nods.
“asshole,” paige mouths.
“actually,” azzi says, “i’m breaking up with you.”
silence. then, a bark of laughter. “yeah. aight.”
“i’m being serious.”
“whatever you say, azzi.” he sounds equal-parts amused, equal-parts irritated. “look, just come back up to the room before it gets too late. you know i’ll make it up to you.”
paige sticks her tongue out, pointing a finger into her mouth and gagging.
azzi rolls her eyes. “you wanna know something, chad?”
“what,” he says, barely interested anymore. (he has the attention span of a goldfish with adhd.)
“we’ve been together for how long?”
“uhh…” chad drawls.
“two months,” she informs him. “and in that amount of time, how many times have we fucked?”
“shit, i’on know,” he says, sounding a little more amused now, like he’s in for a treat. he has no idea.
“a lot, chad. and do you have any idea how many orgasms i’ve had in that amount of time?”
dead silence. she almost wonders if he’s hung up. paige is looking at her like she’s crazy, or maybe like she’s an angel descended from heaven itself. azzi focuses back on the phone. “zero. you have made me come literally zero times.”
another laugh, this time more awkward. “azzi, c’mon, bro—“
“so no, i would not like you to make it up to me tonight, or ever,” she continues, gaining a little momentum now. “your tiny-ass dick could never. and if you don’t get the fuck up outta that room so i can sleep tonight, then i’m—“
“hollup, you’re being serious?” chad interrupts.
“yes,” she says—he never did take her seriously. “so you need to find somewhere else to stay because—“
“hell nah,” chad interrupts once again, this time sounding straight-up affronted. “i’m not giving you the room just because you’re deciding to go batshit on me. you can have it when you come to your senses tomorrow, baby.”
rage seethes, hot and quiet, through azzi’s very marrow. she hates being condescended. hates being spoken down to. hates not being believed. she is going to tear his ass in two.
she glances up at paige. paige has now found a seat on the bed and is watching with wide eyes, looking like she needs a bag of popcorn. looking undeniably fine, somehow, even after throwing up on azzi and then proceeding to have the most awkwardly obvious crush on her. looking undeniably edible, to be completely frank.
and then—
oh, and then.
“fine,” azzi says, holding the speaker right up to her mouth so chad won’t miss a single word of what she’s about to say. “don’t give me the room. i got somebody else to stay with.”
“yeah? who?” chad asks. she can picture his stupid smile as he says it.
“paige,” azzi says, ignoring the quizzical look paige is sending her. “an old friend.”
“paige?” he says, clearly confused.
“yeah,” she continues. “and if you don’t give me that room back…” she avoids paige’s gaze for this part, or else she wouldn’t have the balls to do it, “then i’m gonna stay here. and i’m gonna get fucked by paige bueckers.”
there’s a sharp, nervous laugh. “you’re lying through your fucking teeth, azzi.”
“wanna find out?” azzi asks, hoping he doesn’t call her on her bluff.
“yeah, actually,” he says. “i’m using the room tonight. and let’s see if you’ve fucked paige bueckers by morning.”
with that, a click. the line is dead.
paige’s jaw is on the floor.
azzi squeezes her eyes shut.
okay, so azzi stands corrected. the night has, officially, gotten worse.

One thing it took me a while to appreciate in the LOTR films were the parallels between Frodo and Boromir—
At the end of Fellowship of the Ring, the two of them are both planning to “break the fellowship” for their own reasons.
Frodo wants to protect the others from the corruption of the Ring. Boromir wants “the strength to protect his people.” Both would have to sacrifice the fellowship for this— “to bear a ring of power is to be alone.”
They convince themselves it is their duty to save the world on their own: that this is their quest and their burden, and that they must take it even if it they do it alone, against the will of the rest of the Fellowship.
Boromir tells Frodo “I know why you seek solitude. You suffer— I see it day by day.” Earlier in Lothlorien, Boromir had walked away from the group to grieve alone.
When Boromir is first introduced, he has a large flashing arrow over his head saying “this man is going to be corrupted by the power of the Ring.” The other characters are often mistrustful of him, deeply wary, or treat his corruption as an inevitability. Gandalf warns Frodo about how “evil will be drawn to you from outside the Fellowship and, I fear, from within” while casting a side-glance in Boromir’s direction.
When the Fellowship is refused entry to Lothlorien because of the One Ring, there’s a scene where the other members of the Fellowship can’t meet Frodo’s eyes, looking away whenever he looks at them— it’s as if they’re starting to perceive him as the burden, and not the Ring.
Boromir notices this, and tells Frodo “you carry a heavy burden; don’t carry the weight of the dead.” He does not take his own advice: he carries the weight of Gondor’s dead. Fighting on the front lines of the battle between Gondor and Mordor has left him with far less hope than the other characters; he acts resentful of the other characters, because he believes they don’t truly understand the threat Mordor represents, because they haven’t spent the past few years on the front lines like he has. He tearfully confesses his kingdom “looks to him to make things right and [he] would do it”— it his duty to singlehandedly save Minas Tirith. The weight of this burden is what makes him so susceptible to the power of the Ring— which, in turn, is what makes everyone else so wary of him.
By carrying these burdens, Frodo is also becoming isolated from the other members of the Fellowship, the way that Boromir is.
At night on the banks of the Anduin, Frodo/Sam and Aragorn/Boromir have arguments that parallel each other— Sam tries to help Frodo and Frodo pushes him away; Boromir urges Aragorn to go to Minas Tirith and Aragorn pushes him away.
After the climactic battle at Amon Hen, they’re both in despair— Boromir believes his death means the end of the kingdom that has been relying so heavily on him, Frodo believes he is doomed to travel to Mordor on his own. But both are are ultimately “saved.” Aragorn swears to defend the people of Gondor, who he accepts as his people, and Sam refuses to let Frodo leave alone.
The parallels continue in the next films as well though: Frodo is ultimately corrupted by the Ring, just as Boromir was; he’s crushed under the weight of the burden he took on. But it’s just fascinating to see how much they have in common, despite being so different on the surface.
