I am staring DIRECTLY at Film Reroll Luke Skywalker watching and anticipating his next move
#film reroll#the film reroll#Tim Nolan you played him so well!!!!#I don’t think this will happen but this version of Luke is one I can kinda see turning to the dark side??#like think about it. your aunt and uncle are killed. Ben Kenobi tells you it’ll be alright though and that you have the force in you#you can come with him and train to be a Jedi just like your father was#you leave planet and on the way have to put up with this asshole smuggler and even free a serial killer just to get to the rebels#but it’s fine! because once you’re with the rebels you’ll then be able to train with Ben like he’s promised#except you get there and there are two other Jedi candidates. each seemingly better options than you#one is a child who already has pretty good control of the force without anyone telling her how to wield it.#she’s also young and thus full of so much more potential than you#and the other is a woman older than you. but she has so much more life experience. she’s proven herself worthy both to the rebels#and to the force itself. she is strong and basically everything you’re not#but that’s alright too because Ben knows you. of course he’s going to pick to train you!! but then they say your name Skywalker with horror#and you are told about who your father is and how if you are trained and given everything you want you will become just like him#you are evil and violent by nature even though you feel as if you are anything but… except maybe they’re right#because when confronted with this fact your first instinct was to attack an injured man on death’s door#and if Kenobi has his time taken up by training either kahki or Jyn/planning the destruction of the Death Star#Luke is potentially left in a very vulnerable state to stew#I just am foaming at the mouth thinking about it!!!!#(I do feel like Andy will ultimately take Luke in a more redemption/I am not my father by ‘righteous’ sacrifice’ route though#which also has a lot of potential to be delicious)

Ani. <3
Anakin skywalker (dom-coded) + fem!reader (sub-coded) use of the force in certain <3 ways, night terrors, hurt/comfort, angst, ani shows you his strength! (Size kink) soft and then rough -ish sex, crying, etc (daddy!issues, sorry I had to)
You wake up, shaking. You had that dream again. The one about how your father died. You missed him a lot, especially since he had passed away such a long time ago — for half your life, he was gone. You were lost when your father died. Did not know what to do with yourself. You got yourself in trouble with some slave traders on Tattooine — you were theirs for a week or so: until some Jedi saved you. That Jedi, just happened to be Anakin Skywalker, who then took you under his wing as his padawan. He knew you were force sensitive right away. He convinced the council to personally train you, himself.
Everything was fine, at first. He was greatly skilled, and you had much to learn from him. Yet you could tell that something was brewing between the two of you. The way his big eyes looked at you, sometimes you felt that when he sparred with you, he was noticing something else besides your technique with your lightsaber.
He revealed how he felt about you, eventually. He told you that you were the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, and that he couldn’t help but devote himself to you from the first moment that he saw you. This is why you were his padawan. Shortly after, you became his woman. After that, his wife. It was a secret marriage, of course, yet you still loved him all the same. You remembered your wedding on Endor, the forest moon shining over the two of you, how beautiful he looked all dressed in black. You felt like the two of you were the only humans in the galaxy. You loved how deeply he loved and cared for you.
Waking from this dream clearly upset you, and upset him therefore, too. Of course he would notice right away, he was extremely force sensitive, after all. His metal arm feels cool placed on your shoulder. “My love. Are you okay? I can sense fear in you.” “I had that dream again, Ani. It just hurts,” you tell him.
He knew that dream, all the same. You kept having the dream about how your father died, in an industrial accident on Tattooine — where you were raised. You were only a little girl then, but the pain you felt when you saw how mutilated his body was, was immeasurable. It traumatized you. You relived the moment a lot in your dreams. Your dad always loved you more than your mom — it’s just how it was. Ever since he passed, you couldn’t find anyone to replace his love and care for you. Until now.
“It’s just a dream, sweetheart. It’s in the past. I know you are hurt. Memories are only in your mind. They won’t come to reality. Trust me,” he says, his thumb caressing your cheek, his other hand rubbing circles on your back in an attempt to calm you down.
You stifle back a sob, he brings you in close to his chest, you listen to his heartbeat and it soothes you. You didn’t want to lose him like you lost your dad. You were so grateful to have someone care for you like that again, to feel special, to feel loved by your husband. It’s a feeling you wouldn’t trade for anything across the galaxy.
“Your heart rate is still high, my love. Why don’t you try and sleep, hmm?,” he gently chides at you, his big eyes looking down at you in his arms. Anakin was passionate. He loved deeply. Cared deeply.
“Can’t, Ani. Too tense,” you sigh. You told him that you’d maybe want to take a walk out on the balcony. “Dressed like this?,” he asks, fingers running over your silk nightgown. “Passerby’s might see you. Come. I have a better idea,” he kisses your temple, leads you by the waist back into your bedroom. He decorated the whole room with the moon and stars, things he knew that you loved.
“You are tense. Let me take care of you, sweetheart. Relax,” he softly commands you, and gently pushes you back onto the bed. He’s on top of you, his knee gently pressing into your core, as his hand pries your legs apart. “By the force. You’re so beautiful. My wife. Fuck,” he barely whispers, his thick fingers trail along the soft pillowy part of your thighs. His large hand comes up to cup your cheek, bringing you in for a hot kiss. His soft lips dance with yours, you feel his love through the force as his kiss deepens, you trace the nape of his neck, it’s so warm to the touch <3. He pulls away from you, his lips red and swollen from all the love he’s given you. “You’re an angel. Really,” he breathes, his hands now working to undo your silk nightgown. “Thank the force that you saved me from those slave traders, Ani,” you breathed back, your small hand reaching for his large Jedi robes. Your hand pulls away all of a sudden. A force trick. “I’m the one taking care of you, no? Hands to yourself, my love. Just rest.” You sigh, and lay your hands to your sides. “Eager, aren’t we? Patience, sweetheart. Patience,” he chides, those emotional eyes staring through you again, as he takes off his robes, his broad, muscular chest and metallic arm shining in the pale moonlight glow. He’s on top of you again, kissing every inch of your body, slowly, smirking as you get more and more flustered. He loves to toy with you ever so gently. He knew that when it came to him, patience was one thing you could not have. You wanted him immediately, and who was he to deny you what you want? He just always loved to stall a little.
His fingers harshly squeeze your breasts, you let out a squeal, and he chuckles, his soft lips coming up to bite the fabric of your bra, and his hands coming over to undo it. As soon as it was off, his mouth was latched onto your nipple, you could tell that he used the force to put as much of your breast into his mouth as he could fit. His hands firmly squeezed your hips as he brought you as close to him as possible. The sound of his plush lips suckling against your soft and sensitive tit were driving you up the wall.
“Ani. Ani. Want more. Please!,” you beg, as the pressure his mouth is putting on you making you wetter and wetter by the minute. You attempt to squeeze your legs together for a semblance of relief. You feel his hand stop you. “Angel. Don’t interrupt me until I get my fill, hmm?,” he paused for a second, gripping your cheek, his hand a little rougher this time. You started to cry, tears slowly dripping down your cheeks. “Aww. Is my girl upset?,” he taunts you, a somewhat sinister smile could be seen from his place in between your tits. “Hurts!,” you cry out, tears streaming down your face faster. You feel his length grow, harder, thicker, it was pressing into your thigh at this point. Your crying made him thirst for you even more.
He continues on your chest, your body now covered in red marks, wet with his spit. He moves down to your stomach, your hips, pausing to take his time there. He finally reaches your sopping cunt, pressing gentle kisses onto your hot core, pausing a minute just to breathe you in. His fingers wipe some of the tears off your face. “So cute when you’re upset. Want more?,” he asks. You nod, sniffling. Without a second doubt, he dives in, practically attached to your core, making a meal of it as he does. You squirm in an attempt to get away from his lips, but his strong hands hold down your thighs, he holds you down so much that you can barely move, his metal hand making painful indents in your thighs!!
You squeal and squirm beneath him, and he only emits that low, low chuckle that drives you insane, as he keeps his ministrations on your clit <3 harsher and harsher by the second, until you come on his face, covering his perfect cheeks, nose, in your cum.
“Fuck. Angel. So good. You taste as sweet as you look,” he patronizes you as he presses a wet kiss to your forehead. “Up, come on, now,” he chided at you, bringing you to your feet, he knew you could barely stand from what he already gave you, yet the man was not satisfied. He loved his wife too much, and he had to give every single inch and centimeter of her body <3 the love it deserved.
His hands grip your hips like a vice, pushing you against the wall, your body caged between his strong arms. “My wife,” he sighs, his metal hand feeling cool against your cheek as he grips your face gently, pulling you into the trap of his kisses. At this point, almost your entire body was covered in marks. His other hand trails down to cup and squeeze your wet cunt, and you almost stumble over from the pressure he’s putting on it.
“The force made you so strong, Ani,” you moan out, in between kisses. ”Haven’t seen it all yet, sweetheart,” he huffs, spinning you around so your chest is against the wall, faster than you can blink. You feel his hard and hot bulge press against you, his soft lips come up to press a few kisses on your ear, and he gives you a little bite there <3. “Ani!! More,” you whine, incredibly flustered from this act of dominance. His broad chest presses against your back, as you hear him shuffle and take off more of his clothes. “Stay there,” he commands, and then you feel his soft, leaning tip pass through your folds.
“Just want it in. Ani!,” you beg him. Suddenly you feel pressure on your neck. “Take what you’re given. Tired of your begging, angel,” he states, his face serious and stoic. “Okay, Ani,” you look at him in shock, more tears streaming down your face, taken aback yet satisfied with the show of power he just had over you. You liked it. He knew.
“That’s my good girl. So beautiful. Stay still now,” he brushes your cheek and turns your face around again. His chest against yours, arms holding your body, you feel him slide in, his cock girthy, throbbing. You loved his size. He was tall and it showed!!
You feel white hot pleasure, pressure building as he drives his cock into you, faster, faster, to the point where you start to see his hand make a crack in the wall you were pushed up against. You hear his grunts, getting louder by the minute, you feel him bury his face in the crook of your neck, his teeth biting down onto your shoulder. His heavy balls slap against your soft thighs <3
“Fuck. Angel. Have to. Ah,” — he grunt, and finishes in you. You smiled and squeezed your thighs as you felt his hot seed dripping around your walls. “There you go, beautiful. All better now, hmm?,” he turns you around, the both of you chuckling at the cracked wall behind you. “Yes, Ani. So much better. Thanks to you,” you reply, and wrap your arms around his neck, jumping up to him for a long, chaste, kiss. He returns the kiss gratefully, his big hands smoothing down your sweat covered hair.
“Come. Let me take you back to our room,” he offers, and as if you were as light as a feather, he carried you back to your shared bedroom, gently laying you down on the satin sheets. “Did you like it? I hope I wasn’t too rough,” he asks you, sheepishly rubbing his hand against the back of his head. “No, Ani. Was great. You always know how to make me feel so much better. So safe,” you confide in him, your hands holding his face, his hands holding yours, as the two of you lay wrapped in those silky, soft, sheets, under the soft glow of the moon.
“A man should protect his wife, my love. Make her feel safe, loved. Loved in every way,” he whispers to you. You felt as if you and him were the only ones on Coruscant. “You sure know how to do that, Ani. I haven’t had a man that made me feel so loved, ever since my father,” you sniffle. “I don’t care about anything else in this world, you know. Only you.” he brings you in for a long kiss, his hand lifting up your chin. “Come. Sleep now. I am sure you’ll have a good dream,” he moves both of your bodies onto the pillow, and you lay your head on his chest, breathing in his scent, deeply. You fall asleep on him in under a minute, and he looks at you in adoration as he falls into a deep sleep as well.
Author’s note: My first Anakin fic! I fell in love with the whole Star Wars series (but especially him <3, he’s soooo… ugh. I hope i got his personality down nicely. I was thinking of doing a sequel, or prequel to this, something either about how reader and Ani meet, or if they decide to start a family. I wish he had all this with Padme :( . Anyways! Enjoy fellow Ani lovers <3, and comments and reblogs are always welcome!! Don’t we all want a man like him.

also, about Anakin—I distinctly remember realizing when I was first watching Star Wars that part of what makes Anakin’s relationship with Obi-Wan so compelling is that his love for Obi-Wan is as much forbidden as his love for Padme.
I mean, here’s this kid who’s too old to be trained as a Jedi, not because he’ll be prideful or have to catch up or anything, but because he’s old enough to have already learned how to get attached. And the Council was right; he never, ever unlearns that.
But the very first person aside from Padme that Padawan Anakin got attached to was Obi-Wan. And so all through his training, as he’s growing up and Obi-Wan is growing up too, Anakin is thinking “this is my guy. This is my older brother, this is my best friend, this is the only father I’ve ever known” and just recently discovered that someone like that (Qui-Gonn) can be killed and ripped away from you.
All through his training, that fierce attachment is growing, even more steadily than his love for Padme because he’s never separate from Obi-Wan…and the difference is, Obi-Wan shuts it down. It’s obvious that they love one another like brothers, but Obi-Wan never says it until Anakin is lying like chopped-up charred hibachi on the banks of Mustafar.
I mean, imagine having a father or older brother who you know loves you, but who refuses to say so? Except through his actions, almost in spite of himself?
And then imagine yourself as someone who never gets on board and believes in the code that says you can’t attach? So you know that your father-brother-figure is a hypocrite, about, like, the thing you think is the most important and also the stupidest part of the code?
Because he can’t say it! Because he’s supposed to be teaching Anakin not to get attached—what’s he gonna do, tell Anakin “I’m so glad you’re safe” every time they escape an adventure? Tell Anakin he doesn’t know what he’d do if he lost him? Remind Anakin that he cares? And then say “but attachment is bad. Trust the Force.” No, he’s not going to do that. He’s going to keep that aloof-thing going, even though Anakin knows Obi-Wan loves him.
So Anakin, a very dramatic young man who likes his declarations of affection super up-front, never gets that from Obi-Wan. And he’s so sensitive in the Force, and they’re so connected for such a long time—he must be feeling, constantly, that Obi-Wan loves him too. But Obi-Wan never says it. And even though Anakin knows why, it’s a constant source of frustration, because Anakin doesn’t actually respect the code and he doesn’t see why Obi-Wan does.
So constantly, Anakin feels like Obi-Wan is hiding affection for him, or withholding it. Keeping something good for him back. He’s feeling like Obi-Wan is, on some level, a little two-faced. He’s feeling like Obi-Wan’s willing enough to save his life and stick up for him—clearly Obi-Wan is attached—but coming out and saying it? Admitting it: “hey little bro, I know you’re attached to me but you have to stop; it’s not the Jedi way. I know how you feel, I’m attached to you too—we’ll just have to figure that out together?”
No, he never does that. Not until it’s way too late, and Anakin has already conflated Obi-Wan’s refusal to express their bond out loud with how deceitful and two-faced the Jedi are, and they have to be enemies.
which, you know, understandable, considering who Obi-Wan is as a character. but still.
Yeesh. I love this character, I feel like he was when I first started thinking about the tangled web of character motivations and conflicts, but the poor guy.

[StarWars][BobaDin][LukeDin]
Sons (of BobaDin & LukeDin)
I'm in the middle of the Inktober challenge (posting on my IG story if you're interested). Sorry for the wait for my new artwork if anyone's been waiting...🫣
Anyway, inspired by my fellow artist, I decided to draw the offspring of Boba/Din and Luke/Din. I'm having a hard time now determining which pair is my OTP, so I decided they're both my OTP and drew the sons of both pairs in the same piece.
These two baby boys can exist in the same universe or not, depending on what plot you prefer. However, I have a somewhat unethical feeling that these two could make a good couple if they're not half-brothers... (Yeah, I know in some stories, they can be a couple if you don't mind the ethical issues).
I borrowed the clothing from kid Boba and Padawan but blended in "red," which comes from the traditional colors of Din's birth country, Aq Vetina.
The son of BobaDin
has Boba & Din's curls, Boba's eyebrows & lips (and probably the height, though it's hard to tell at his age), and Din's eyes & nose. He always carries a vibro-knife with him, began training at a very young age, and wants to be a great warrior like his fathers. He’s kind of grumpy but has a soft heart and is very protective of Din (who gave birth to him) and his green brother. He often looks reluctant to play with Grogu because he wants to spend most of his time training, but Grogu knows, just like everybody else, that he loves playing with his brother and cares deeply for his family!
The son of LukeDin
also has curls from Din (yes, because I love curls! Din is also the one who gave birth to him, as you all know I'm a huge sucker for bottom Din). He has Luke's hair color, eyes, nose, chin, and Force abilities, as well as Din's eyebrows, eye color, lips, and probably height. He has a playful mind, so he has no problem playing and causing mayhem together with Grogu. He has a strong Force connection like Luke, but unlike Grogu, who is prone to becoming a Mandalorian, he wants to be a Jedi under Luke's training. Although he appears confident and relaxed, he’s quite insecure about his abilities due to having two famous dads, he faces a lot of pressure others can't understand.
About how they refer to their fathers
Since Boba and Din are both Mandalorians, it can be confusing for calling them both "Buir." In my research, "Papa" is a term of endearment for "father" in Spanish and since Pedro is a Latino, so...
It's relatively easy for LukeDin's son to call his fathers: Din is "Buir," and Luke is "Dad." "Dad" has a more casual vibe, which I think suits his personality.
Okay, that's it! Hope you enjoy my boys, and sorry for babbling again. The last thing is that I have another question for you:
Yeah, I know there’s a BIG ISSUE in there, which is why I’m asking. I’m curious about what people think about such a thing, feel free to discuss with me, no judgment here no matter what your answer is!

You know I understand the take but I can´t help but see all those headcanons and memes of Anakin blaming Obi-Wan or the Jedi Order for his fall extremely OOC for his character. Vader believes the Jedi and the Republic fell because they abandoned their principles, not because of whatever relationship they had with him.
Vader dueled Obi-Wan on the Death Star(ANH) but he wasn´t even mad at his old master, he actually told him "You should not have come back" and "Your powers are weak old man" and "I was the learner now I am the master" that is it, that´s all Vader has to tell his master(the man he used to see as a father) after being left behind burning alive.
When Luke confronts Vader on Cloud city he tells Luke not to let himself be destroyed like Obi-Wan did, he is aware Obi-Wan used him to die and it doesn´t bother him because he is like ok, he wanted to go but please Luke dont do the same.
This man literal reaction at learning his child had been trained to kill him and his master was to offer him to rule the galaxy together as father and Son because of course he is a monster but he can offer his boy the galaxy and make up for it right?
This is Anakin, he justified his slave owner for owning him and his mom, he justified the Jedi despite separating and leaving his mother behind as a slave and cutting all contact from her, in fact he blamed himself for not going to her before she was kidnapped and murdered and he keep justifying the Emperor until he no longer was able to when he wanted to kill his Son in front of him.
Vader´s problem is the fact he keeps wanting to justify the systems he belongs to even if he finds them unfair but believes if he keeps trying to fix them all those sacrifices he made will be worth something in the end but he is totally unable to recognize to himself the way how living under those systems have shaped or hurt him and while he does see the damage those systems do for others, he believes he can stop that at some point(put order in the galaxy, put Padme in charge, defeat the emperor)
This is why an usual dialogue between Vader and anybody else who opposes him in canon is bassically, yes, I know I am a monster, I understand where are you coming from but it´s my duty to destroy you. Because eventually at some point he wants it be worth something, just like it was worth it to leave behind his mother as a slave, killing for the republic, killing for the Jedi and killing for the Empire, it has to be worth it.
Luke, by refusing to fight him, trusting him and loving him was the only way he could begin to free himself from the darkside, because he found someone who saw him worth living and being loved not for what he could do for them but because he was a person, his name was Anakin and he was worth being saved and he didn´t need to do anything else for Luke besides loving him back and protect him like a father does for his child.
That´s what snapped Vader out of his apathy, which is the actual opposite of the love Anakin used to have for the people in the galaxy, for the Jedi and for his family, that´s the Jedi that came back.

violet – chapter 3
qimir x f!reader | chapter 1, chapter 2 & chapter 4
summary: she had no direction. a nomad who didn't choose a side. but when a vision makes her save people, she has to face her mind in the worst way possible: on a planet made of water with the man who reminds her of her past.
content: deaths, many mentions of blood, power bond, a kind of “chosen one”, dark past, sexual tension, dark confessions | wc: 1600+
notes: hello, i’m afraid to post this new chapter for having rewritten so many times that i even lost count, but i loved how i was with the ideas of the story from the first part and you deserved to know about — english is not my first language!
I remember the feeling. I was disbelieved. I should have seen it coming, saved her from his hands. But how would she save her if she didn't even want to be saved? Finding her on the shores of the sea, as she swam against her own blood. I remember running to hold her in my arms, feeling her cold skin, the sand mixing with her blood and her lost gaze while she was still able to look at me. I put my hand on her face, not knowing how to help her. I was just a teenager who was learning to swim.
"Mother."
Her brown eyes.
I still see them.
I looked up, asking for some kind of help. Tears were uncontrolled on my face. Please save her. “Try to love him, he deserves salvation.” I heard it in the back of my mind. Flashes followed my mind. Young people walking on the sea marches, hands clasped with smiles on their faces. My parents.
I shook my head. "No, I can not."
His eyes piercing, trembling and dead. She was dead in my arms.
"Why? Why does he deserve salvation?”
The food looked good. She started drinking what was in the pot, it had been a while since she had eaten something hot. Just a few seconds after Qimir gave the pot, she returned it. He watched as she walked around the cave, looking everywhere with some kind of admiration in her eyes.
A few days had passed on the island, each day being in a working-class mode. Qimir watched his partner walk around the corners of the island every day, especially the beach. Him sitting next to the water and letting time pass while watching the sea. From the third day onwards, she started asking for his company on her walk to the beach, even though they knew they wouldn't say a word to each other.
“Can we go look at the sea again?” She asked without looking at him.
Qimir tried but got no answers in his thoughts as to why. Her thoughts were racing. "Of course."
They walked side by side as before. The ocean being the only communicator of the moment. The dark sky and stars being a backdrop for feelings. She hadn't brought up the subject of her attack and the fatal kiss, and she didn't seem to want to. Her thoughts meant something, he felt.
She stopped and sat down on the sand, watching Qimir do the same. Grabbing a handful of sand in your hand. “I always liked being close to the sea. Where I lived was close to the water.” She gradually crushed the sand, watching each piece of sand fall to the ground. “I remember always training with my father on the beach. Feeling my feet sinking into the sand, the cold wind ruffling my hair, and the pressure of knowing I could train as much as I wanted, he would always see me as weak.”
She sighed loudly, the memories were painful. Remembering her adolescence only made her think that she was still weak.
“But he loved me, so he knew it was for my good. He was a great Jedi, certainly the best, but he was devoted to his family. He left emotion behind for the comfort of a heart.”
“I'm still haunted by my mother's eyes. To feel her blood running through my fingers. Rocking a dead body in my arms.” She let out a sort of laugh. “She allows me to see the visions, she lives on in my mind.” She turned her head, looking at Qimir. “My mother brought me to meet her.”
Qimir approached her, letting her hand reach out and place it above her. Sliding his fingers over her hand in a caress, he wanted her to feel comfort.
“He felt so much love for her. He killed her, wishing they would meet in her dreams.”
Flashes and more flashes appeared in his mind.
“Let’s go back, please.” She pushed his hand away, getting up, starting to take steps back to the cave. Qimir got up from where he was.
“Did you kill your father?”
She stopped, without looking back.
"Yes." — “He didn’t deserve salvation.” He heard her voice in his thoughts. Her voice being dark. Qimir couldn't remember the last time a person could enter their mind and say words to them.
She turned to Qimir. “You remember him. Every part of your existence reminds you of him. That’s why I’m here.”
“That night I didn’t just kill a Jedi, I killed my mother’s love.”
She ruffled her hair, feeling immense frustration. “She preferred to die than love her daughter!” She screamed until her throat hurt. Her voice being heard throughout that island. “A woman who didn't want children and a man who was destined for evil. Now I ask you, what would come of this?”
Qimir observed how the waves moved, at an almost uncontrolled frequency. Was her. He was impressed.
She looked up at the sky, watching the stars. “They were afraid I would turn out like my father.”
"And you are not?"
Her blood bubbled just with the doubt of being compared to her father. She walked a few steps until she was face to face with him.
“I would rather stick a knife in my chest than become like him.”
“Why so afraid?”
“He was a monster.” She felt Qimir's hand fit around hers again.
“But didn’t you love him?” Her mind became cloudy, she closed her eyes.
"I love."
“I remember seeing it happen, the first vision. My mother was watching the waves like all morning, so he walked up behind her, hugged her and pushed the knife into her stomach. The first stab, then one more and many others until I felt her body fall into the sand.”
“They both knew what would happen and the only person who felt angry was me. I denied it, and I denied it until the last second that he would. He’s my father, why would he do this to his family?” She shook her head, still refusing. Qimir wrapped his arms around her, pressing her body to his.
“Is it possible for you to be him? She saw you, she chose you.”
“But I didn’t choose her.” He pulled away so he could look into her eyes. "I chose you. My eyes are on you.”
“How can you choose her?” The voice in her mind again, Qimir took a step back.
The water continued until it reached their feet even though he knew they were at a safe distance from the sea, the clouds in the sky closing in around them indicating an upcoming rain, the waves becoming more and more aggressive and her eyes in a long, dark void. He knew she was losing her senses and letting the other take over.
He placed his arms on top of hers, swaying from both sides to see any reaction.
“Hey, I need you here. Don’t let her say it for you, she doesn’t have that right.” Qimir tried to see her in his mind, but it seemed like a lost cause. He felt the waves reaching her knees.
Nothing.
Not a muscle moved. She looked deep into his eyes, but it wasn't her. They were piercing, trembling and dead. Qimir felt as lost as she did. He remembered the same feeling some time ago. Then something clicked in his mind.
He slowly placed his hands on either side of her neck. "I saw you. So many times. Your warm hug, your words in my ear, your lips pressed to mine and your beautiful eyes looking at me. My heart burned. Then I would wake up and every time I would feel like I was in a maze with no answers, a lost navigator.” Qimir pressed his forehead to hers, releasing a sigh that had been stored for some time. “Please, come on. Come back to me."
Get back to someone?
My heart burned.
Did I deserve to go back to someone? Do my father and I deserve salvation? No, no, no.
But I looked at her face and my heart burned.
My heart was beating fast, like the waves of this strange night. I was beating for him. By Qimir.
“Qimir.”
She felt the strength in her body giving out and she slowly began to fall to her knees and hit the sandy ground. He joined her on the floor, enveloping her in a hug. She pressed her head on his chest, slowly calming her breathing, letting her hear Qimir's heart beating. Qimir placed one of his hands on her head and his fingers massaged her hair.
She walked away for a few seconds remembering the past moments, her consciousness away to let her mother take control. Placing his hands on either side of the man's face to assess him. "Everything is fine with you? Did she do something to you? I should have foreseen how this would affect my connection with her.” She stopped talking for a few seconds, with her nervousness and worry getting louder, not realizing how fun this was being for him, opening a small smile.
“Hey, I'm fine.” She sighed, lowering her hands from his face.
“I felt so, so scared.”
They spent a few seconds looking at each other.
A smile appeared on her face, she was just happy that he was okay even after being put in this hurricane.
The difference was frightening. As her beautiful brown eyes were shining like a sun star, he wanted to drown in them. He wished she could fight everything, he wished he could accompany her across the galaxy. Her heart burned again.
Qimir closed his eyes and slowly began to explore her face with his nose. Hearing some small giggles coming out of her throat. Not even the water wetting them could erase how a simple laugh warmed the man's entire body. He wanted the moment to continue forever.

Guarded Desires: Part 4
Fandom: Star Wars - The Acolyte
Pairing: Padawan!Qimir x Princess!Reader
Summary: After an assassination attempt on your mother, she’s asked a favor from the Jedi Council to watch over you and your family until the assailant has been caught. As a result, your mother’s old friend, Master Vernestra, has her padawan, Qimir, be your bodyguard. Based off my imagine here.
Series Masterlist
After your day at the shore, you didn't feel any lighter. Knowing that your father was getting ready to set you up with suitors brought on a lot of anxiety within you.
Qimir could see and feel that anxiety consuming you. When he watched you train, you became sloppy. You were getting snappy with the servants. You've even snapped at him a few times, but proceeded to apologize right after.
In moments alone, you two would talk. You more than him. He'd listen as you shared for your dreams, your goals, how you'd change certain rules and regulations in your kingdom. But then you'd also share your pains, your anxieties, your insecurities. Qimir can't help but feel the pain you feel. Your hurt is hurt because even if he's known you for two weeks, he knows you deserve better treatment than what your father is giving you.
He was becoming more and more concerned for you as your anxieties grew.
This concern can be seen from his Master.
After another day, he went to his Master to report back to her. As they stared out to the mountains surrounding the palace, Master Vernestra states, "You're starting to care for the princess."
Qimir gulps, avoiding his Master's gaze, "I've just been there to provide advice and comfort. The King-"
"You know these kind of attachments are forbidden, my padawan."
"I know-"
"Need I remind you that if you cannot keep these emotions at bay, you won't be able to become a Jedi Knight?" Vernestra gives him a warning look.
Qimir sighs, running his hand through his cropped black hair, "I know, Master. I will be more mindful of my interactions with the princess."
Vernestra nods, "Good. I'd hate to see all of your efforts be lost." She then excuses him and he goes to his rooms.
There's a deep pit in his chest, when he gets into bed. Growing up, being taught the ways of the Jedi, he always had an issue with their views on emotions and attachments. He struggled with them when he was a youngling, but as he grew, he became accustomed to not getting close to anyone. Then he met you and it's becoming increasingly difficult to separate his duty as a Jedi and his growing affections for you.
How are these feelings so wrong when it makes him feel so...at ease?
_____________________
You sit back as Qimir makes various toys float around the room. Ada and Aspen are so amused as they try to reach for their toys that hover in mid-air. You watch as Qimir's eyes crinkle in amusement. His low chuckle brings warmth into your chest.
He looks up at you and he smiles. You feel that all too familiar fluttering again.
You scold yourself for growing attached to him. You know the Jedi can't form emotional attachments to people. It creates an in-balance in them. However, you still can't help but hope that a tiny part of him likes you. It's the way he looks at you, the way he talks to you, the way he just knows what you need when you're having a bad day. You hope that you're not reading into things wrong, but you also shouldn't be reading to anything when it comes to Qimir.
You cannot be with each other, no matter how much your heart yearns for him.
The investigation has picked up now. There have been whispers about who the attempted assassin might be. Vernestra and other Jedi have been gone for the past few days looking into these rumors. A part of you hopes the person is found, so they may face their fate for attempting to hurt your mother. The other part of you hopes they stay hidden for a while, so that Qimir can stay with you longer.
The thought of him leaving you suddenly dampens your mood. Sensing the shift, Qimir excuses himself from the twins and immediately goes to your side.
"Everything okay?" he reaches out to touch you, but then remembers what his Master said. He immediately pulls back and he sees your shoulder sag further.
"Just...thinking."
"About?"
You shrug. You're pulling away from him. He can feel it.
There's clearly something on your mind, but you hold back. Even though this is what he needed, it feels terrible. He doesn't like it one bit.
"I just hope the person who tried to hurt my mother will be found soon. So my family and I can stop living in fear and you can go back to your training. I'm sure it would be a lot more fulfilling than being stuck with me all hours of the day." You walk past him and join your sisters at their small round table where they're now setting up for a tea party.
Qimir looks at you with a frown. Did you want him to leave? How could you think that he'd want to be anywhere but here? With you? How does he tell you that he's felt more alive in your presence than he has in all of his years at the Jedi academy? How-
There's a loud BANG in the distance that rattles the walls of the palace. You immediately look to Qimir, eyes wide and full of fear.
He quickly goes to you and your sisters, "The hideout. Hurry!" He grabs Ada and you grab Aspen. You rush to the other side of the room where there's a portrait. Behind it is the entrance to a hidden room made for safety. The rooms have been there for eons, in case of emergencies. This was definitely an emergency.
The twins' protector, Ryker, comes bursting into the room, "There's an attack! Qimir, you're with me!"
Qimir nods and looks back at you, "I'll come back when it's safe. Only open this door when I give the signal. Three knocks, two, then three again. Got it?" He helps Ada inside, "Stay quiet."
"Please be safe." You say with pleading eyes.
"I will. I'll come back to you. I promise," he leans in, kisses your cheek and hurries after Ryker. You quickly pull the portrait towards you and slam the button to lock it.
Your sisters curl into you, both whimpering in fear. You wrap your arms around them, trying your best to comfort them.
Your mind is racing. You worry about your parents. You hope they're safe. You worry about the servants and hope no one is hurt. You think about Qimir, his promise and the kiss he left on your cheek. You want to be elated by the gesture, but you can't help but be filled with worry, fear, and sadness.

nobody's son, nobody's daughter {A.S.}
getting into an argument with ani & your parental issues are brought up
warnings: NO SEXUALLY EXPLICIT CONTENT BUT MY BLOG IS 18+ ONLY. hurt/comfort, parental issues lol, crying, Anakin is lowkey mean i’m sorry ✋🏽😔, not accurate SW lore, one use of ‘y/n’, d3ath mention.
Anakin was so done with today. it was friday afternoon and he had just endured 8 hours of training and then a 2 hour meeting with the Jedi Council where he was scolded for a rash decision he made on his most recent mission. to say Anakin was frustrated was the understatement of the century.
you weren’t having a great day either, it was your fathers birthday. he had left you and your mother to start a new family when you were in your early teens. shortly after that your mother spiraled into depression and had tossed you out. you escaped to Coruscant and happened to be found by Master Windu who took you under his wing.
the weeks of what used to be important family events were always difficult. especially birthdays. you couldn’t wait to curl up into your boyfriend’s arms and feel the weight of the day melt away.
Anakin made his way to your quarters, wanting to do the same. his walk was all a blur until he reached your door. Anakin walked into your apartment ready to collapse into you. he found you curled up on the couch, looking forlorn.
“hey, angel. what’s wrong?” his voice soft and obviously sullen. you lift your head, your face tear stained. “oh it’s just my dads birthday..” you trail off. Anakin sighed. “oh that again.” he sounded slightly annoyed.
granted you’ve been sulking about this all week, but you had a right to. you missed normalcy, you missed coming home from school on your father’s birthday and giving him handmade cards you crafted so carefully. you missed the delicious birthday dinner your mother made and hiding his gifts behind your back, making him guess what it was. you missed sitting on his lap and helping him blow out his candles after singing to him loudly and in between giggles. it sickens you to think about his new children doing all of those things you thought we sacred to him, just as they were to you.
“what does that mean?” you ask, getting defensive. “nothing, angel.” he corrected his tone, realizing what he had done. “no. what did you mean by that?” you doubled down, standing up and walking closer to him. “again? again?! oh i’m sorry that i’m mourning my family.” you cross your arms over your chest, rolling your eyes.
Anakin scoffs. “you have to be kidding. it just slipped out i didn’t even mean it like that.” he steps closer to you. “obviously you meant something, Anakin. you wouldn’t have said anything otherwise.” your eyes threw daggers into his. “angel, can we just drop it? i had a long day i just wanna relax.” he reaches his hand out to touch your arm. you pull back harshly. “darling, come on.”
“no! you have the audacity to tell me to ignore a comment like that?! really?!” your voice gaining volume. Anakin pressed his palm against his forehead, his anger building. “love, i didn’t even mea-“ he starts. “don’t even try to throw that shit at me again.” you interrupt him.
“you aren’t the only one without parents, y/n!!” he yells. you jump back. Anakin had never yelled at you before. “i held my mother as she passed away after not seeing her for ten. years! you aren’t the only one mourning!”
you were too shocked to speak, but your face said everything. after what felt like an eternity, Anakin’s face softened, he realized what had came out of his mouth. “angel…baby…i am- i am so sor-.” “don’t.” you interrupt him again. “i know- i know i’m not the only one mourning. i know you don’t have parents either but i still supported you. i held you after every nightmare, flashback, anxiety attack, everything. i still do.” your voice cracked often as you choked down tears.
“if you were annoyed with my sulking, you could’ve shut it out like you do to me every time something bothers you.” you started walking past him, he tried to grab you by your bicep. “get the fuck away from me, Anakin.” you state coldly, his eyes widen. you’ve never spoken to him in that way. you push past him and walk out of your own apartment.
Anakin stood there, not only shocked at your actions but also his. he’s always been so caring not matter how his day went, he always held space for you. and you held space for him. the tears welling up in his eyes finally spilt over, his usually stoic face contorted as he cried.
you stormed out to the garden, finding a bench in a secluded area. you sat there and cried for what seemed like forever. you cried until your head throbbed and your lungs were sore.
Anakin had to make this right, he couldn’t leave you like this. the sound of leaves crunching behind you nearly scared you out of your skin.
Anakin placed a blanket over your shoulders before sitting down next to you. “angel. i am so sorry. truly. this week was exhausting and i have no right to take it out on you.” he wraps one of his arms around you and you melt into his warmth. “i forgive you, Ani. and i’m sorry too. i know you’re also grappling with your own feelings. i never meant to appear selfish.”
“i love you, my angel.” his plants a kiss on your temple. “i love you too, Ani.”

Hello. I've talking with you in DM. I'll like to read your opinion about Qui-Gon's appearance in Mortis Vs at the end of the Kenobi series. Seems people tend to portrait the Mortis scene as a proof that Qui-Gon is the perfect Jedi who discards Obi-Wan without any hesitation and praising Anakin. While they forget when Qui-Gon reappear in the Kenobi series, he was always there for Obi-Wan, even waited for him. But fully ignored because this isn't the vision of the "Perfect Jedi" they know in CW.
It's like both Qui-Gon are different people.
So here's the thing for me with Mortis: it's fucking weird and everything that happens there is implied to be like a shared dream or Force vision of some sort and what happens in there is only QUESTIONABLY real. Time literally doesn't move in the "real world" when they come back (they're speaking to Rex before they crash on Mortis and then speak to him again at the end and he says only about a minute has passed even though they spent DAYS on Mortis). While the Father/Son/Daughter have been brought back a few times since then and have become something a little more well-known and widespread at this point, the original TCW episode sort-of implies that they may not have been entirely real themselves, but that they were just... representations of something the Force wanted these three people to understand for some reason.
So it is MASSIVELY questionable as to whether the Qui-Gon who shows up on Mortis is, in fact, REALLY Qui-Gon himself or if he's just some another image that the Force used to speak to Obi-Wan and Anakin, same as the Father/Son/Daughter. In the same exact scene as the Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon conversation, Ahsoka ALSO has a vision, but she has it of her future adult self. So if we assume Qui-Gon was really there, we must then also assume that adult Ahsoka was also really there, and that brings up a LOT of weird implications about her. Because Qui-Gon is a Force Ghost and we know that Qui-Gon is already dead at this point in the timeline. If we assume adult Ahsoka is using the same trick to show up, it implies that Ahsoka died in early adulthood and that she trained to become a Force Ghost and succeeded and that somehow her Force Ghost is actually traveling BACKWARDS in time in order to appear here. Personally, I think that's pushing things a little and it's a LOT easier to assume that adult Ahsoka is a random vision that present day Ahsoka is having and she isn't ACTUALLY speaking to her adult self time traveling backwards as a ghost. And if we assume this is true, you can make the exact same claim about Qui-Gon.
The final piece of evidence I will use for my headcanon here is that Qui-Gon actually shows up VISIBLY in this scene even though later on, when he speaks to Yoda, he can't appear to Yoda at all and all he can do is speak to him as a disembodied voice. You might argue that Mortis is SPECIAL and that's why Qui-Gon could do this when he can't do it later, but Dagobah is ALSO supposed to be a weird Force planet of sorts, so it seems odd that he can't do it there. He also never shows up visibly when Yoda is visiting the Force Priestesses (aside from in Yoda's vision of a happy Jedi Temple where Qui-Gon is still alive and Dooku never became a Sith). Qui-Gon, at the time of Mortis, IS NOT CAPABLE of showing up visibly. He never got trained in it at all and can't do it later even in other places similarly weird in the Force.
The Kenobi show chose to let Qui-Gon show up visibly anyway obviously, and I'm willing to let that go because the scene means a lot to me and so I can headcanon that Qui-Gon did some post mortem training in how to DO that and simply hadn't mastered it by the time of the Yoda Force Ghost arc in TCW season 6. I will fully admit that Qui-Gon probably SHOULDN'T have visibly shown up in the Kenobi show according to what was established in TCW, though. It makes no real logical sense, but the Force Ghosts have pretty much NEVER made sense and often just get used in whatever way the plot requires of them and however the current creator thinks will be cool/emotional.
So basically, my thoughts on Qui-Gon in the Mortis arc are that this isn't Qui-Gon at all and it's just the Force speaking to Obi-Wan through Qui-Gon's image, giving him a warning or just forcing Obi-Wan to face his fears, etc the way the Force just DOES sometimes. If it doesn't feel accurate to the way Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's relationship is represented in the films to you, then maybe it's because it's not MEANT to be accurate for a reason.

Hey dear :D can you tell us about your headcanons on Jango training the Alphas ? :D
I finally got here to answer this ask. <3
And ooooh boy do I have??? Only angsty ones, love.
I use RepComm lore as a base of my headcanons, just to make clear in what continuity I'm creating in. And that means: NO INHIBITOR CHIPS.
The whole idea of the Clone Army revolves around one thing ultimately: to completely exterminate the jedi. To create an army that is ready for the decisive moment of taking down the enemies of the Sith without the jedi even noticing what is coming at them.
The trainers of course didn't know that this is the ultimate goal of the army, but they knew they had to train a whole army for a future war that who knows when will come. They had be loyal. And they had to be effective.
Every trainer had different approach:
Kal Skirata used love and insisted on the importance of comradeship which ultimately didn't necesserily made his commandos loyal to the Republic, but to each other.
Walon Vau used harsh discipline and insisted on the importance to make his commandos remember: they are superior than others and they have the most important mission in their life. Nothing awaits them outside because they have everything they need: their duty. Vau's trainees remained loyal even after the regime change.
And then we have the Alpha ARC Troopers trained by Jango Fett.
The Alpha ARCs in their mind are the unaltered version of Jango Fett. 100 copy of Jango Fett with their brain remained untouched (compared to the Nulls who's brain was tampered with). Meaning, the Alpha's undying loyalty to the Republic is not pre-programmed, it is not in their genes. It is conditioned with traditional methods: And that is FEAR.
More under the cut
Jango Fett didn't care about the clones and I will sparta-kick everyone from this hill who tries to fight me. I don't have a single worldbuilding where Jango was a "good daddy" for the Clones. He was a great, loving and caring father to Boba and Boba alone.
For him, the clones are products, but also they are part of his agenda: Even he dies, there will be millions of Jango Fetts who will fulfill his revenge of killing off all the Jedi.
The books often mention that Jango was a sociopath (meaning he is on the spectrum of ASPD), and this template was able to make the clones to be so effective. His brain is just built different and wasn't cluttered with moral based inhibitions. That's why I think that Jango wasn't actually a sadist who enjoyed tormenting his trainees - The Alphas - out of joy and personal amusement. It served the purpose, it was all pragmatic.
There wasn't any more description what was Alpha's training like on Kamino but these little snippets of lores made my brain go brrrrrrr about the theories. If the Alphas - THE ALPHAS!!!! - were scared of Jango it could mean that their training included something that gave a reason to fear him.
We know that he installed his own commands into the Alphas such us destroying the Clone Facility in case of Separatist attack on Kamino which Alpha-17 almost fulfilled. But also, being unquestionably loyal to the Jedi. For me, these commands weren't installed. I truly love the unaltered brain-Alphas.
-- Physical pain --
When you are in the military and under training, the line between educational violence and actual physical abuse is very thin. Insubordination had to be punished. Jango had to make sure that the Alphas remain loyal despite not having the same inhibitions like the rest of the clones, so there must have been exercises where he tested how far the Alphas would go to fullfill their duties, achieve victory, enforce an order, AT ALL COST.
They had to put through physical hell, pushed over their limits, pushed over their thresholds and beyond. If caught crying, if caught showing pain, if caught showing the single muscle of questioning Jango's orders, they had to be punished. They weren't made to compete with each other, but they also couldn't protect each other publicly when Jango punished the Alphas for insubordination. They had to watch. They had to learn from it.
The Alphas found secret ways to communicate with each other. To find comfort in each other in one way or another. Oh they knew the concept of love and caring. They watched Jango and Boba from the distance. The reassuring words. The caring touches of a father. They watched how the Nulls were running to their precious sergeant for comfort when hurt. They were very much aware that this is not something they would get.
-- RECONDITION: THE ULTIMATE DEATH --
The Alphas needed only one case of serious insubordination to learn their places and that was Alpha-Ø2. He was truly an independent mind and free-thinker, a true inspiration to thrive for individualism in the sea of Jango Fetts. Spar refused to comply and refused to sworn loyalty to "a republic" which he didn't knew.
And one day Alpha-Ø2 disappeared. Only to return without his memories. Returning without his fiery temper, without his free-spirit... and without any knowledge of how he used to love his Alpha-brothers dearly.
The brainwashing of the Alphas were so much successful later in time, when Alpha-Ø2 - called now Spar - actually deserted at age 8, two years before Geonosis, most of the Alphas felt disgust just by thinking about him - they had to.
Alphas had to believe that Spar was the utter disgrace to the Republic, otherwise it would mean, that they were actually treated wrong.
They had no idea that Spar's desertion was orchestrated by Mij Gilamar and Jango Fett himself after Spar regained his memories - probably the only mercy Jango showed for a clone.
-- Jango had to find the perfect balance --
The Kaminoans wanted soldiers who are independent thinkers but still loyal. Completely supressing their individualism wasn't an option, learned from Spar's case.
What the Alphas did in their non-existent freetime wasn't his business. But the Alphas had to drop everything that is them, when Jango ordered them to do so.
Jango hated every form of authority and realized that the Alphas inherited this trait for his disdain. So he used this train in them to be more effective as advisors for the Jedi. The Alphas had to make sure the Jedi survive until the critical point after all.
Alpha-17 is the smartest of them and the closest thing they had for Spar, which made him always walking on thin ice.
Tavo and Sull, lovebirds.
Maze had knowledge of wide variety of things due to reading forbidden literature that wasn't their in their curriculum.
Fordo communicated only through sign language due to trauma, and his closest friends learned too so they can speak to each other. He only spoke when Jango ordered him to do so.
They were smart enough to know what is was truly considered disobedience. And that was going against the Republic and Jango. If they comply to these rules, they will be safe.
-- ALPHA vs NULL conflict --
Jango always had to remind the Alphas that they were expected to be better than their precedessors, the Nulls. If they fail to meet with the standards, they won't have "a kal skirata" to save them from recondition.
Alpha-Ø2 sure didn't have.
The Alphas after a while didn't need outside motivation to be obedient and loyal. Because they were meant to be everything the Nulls couldn't be. Seeing the examples with their own eyes, how chaotic the Nulls were, how the Nulls as children were actually unruly and sadistic toward the kaminoan technicians, how they disobeyed everyone who was not Kal Skirata, they finally saw what is expected from them: BE BETTER THAN THEM.
And they finally found their positive reassurance on their own. How to take pride in being the true servants of the Republic. Only the Nulls didn't give a shit about this rivalry. They didn't care about Jango or the Alphas or being better than the Alphas.
Being obedient without question was totally against he Alphas nature but they tried. They tried fucking hard.
Alphas: We are the perfect soldiers of the Republic because we are obedient, well-behaved, and we don't cause trouble to our trainers unlike you.
Nulls: We are perfect soldiers because Kal'buir said so, nyenyenyeeeee!!!
Indeed. That Alpha's didn't have "a kal skirata" in their life to tell them they are enough. That they are perfect. That they do the best. Because their best was never enough.
And they weren't enough.
The Alpha ARCs deemed to be failure in the end and their template genes weren't put in to mass-production. When the deployment to Geonosis began, they realized that they weren't meant to be used in the battle and it almost broke them.
Despite their effort and hard work, the Alphas still deemed a failure. Unpredictable, unruly, and because they didn't have any inhibition in them, the Kaminoan didn't trust that they would fulfill their roles. Alphas had to watch the Nulls leave to Geonosis while they were put into stasis.
They didn't have "a kal skirata" to save them from this fate. They didn't have Jango Fett, he wasn't there at all.
They were all alone.
-- Did Jango's approach work? --
My answer is: no.
Despite the conditioning, the Alphas had wide-variety of reactions to the Republic, to the Jedi, and Order 66.
Some were able to shake down the effects of the conditioning, and realized that this dead man won't come after them from the grave to punish them for disobedience.
Some Alpha deserted and died by the hands of Clone Assassins sent after them during the Clone Wars.
Some Alpha remained loyal to Jango's orders, the Republic and then the Empire, training the new generation of soldiers.
Some Alpha went into hiding and became bounty hunters.
Ultimately, how they interacted with the world around them as individual and how the environment treated them decided their own fate.
#I hope you enjoyed my blurb about them <3#hmmm. i think it ended up more like a meta than headcanon#don't hesitate ask if you have even more specific questions ^^#cloneship#sull x tavo#headcanons#jango fett#alpha arcs#null arcs#alpha 17#alpha 02 Spar#alpha 26 maze#captain fordo#alpha 30 Sull#alpha ?? tavo#kal skirata#republic commando#repcomm#the clone wars#star wars#star wars prequels

Currently woozy but guess who watched the Umbara Arc in one sitting
I'm in my Rex feels right now, because Anakin remarks that Rex used to be very uptight like Dogma which implies that it took Rex some time to ease up. And he's the only blonde in the GAR, a cosmetic "defect" sure but he's also a gen 1 clone. He must've struggled so hard to ensure he wouldn't get decommissioned, must have stuck to the rules and followed orders to the letter just so he'd survive.
And here comes Krell demanding about his insubordination. Threatening against it. Don't tell me Rex wasn't thinking of his cadet-hood when Krell called him by his CT number. My man was going through it.
Tangent!
Okay, see, the thing is, when I watch the clones, I can literally see the times their past life on Kamino and their cadet-hood bleed into their present behavior.
Take Hunter, for example, when he's quietly doing as Shand tells him to in s3. I wonder how many times he's had to comply as a cadet for the sake of his brothers' safety.
Take Crosshair on Tantiss, resisting torture at every step of the way. Maybe he was trained for it. Maybe he trained himself for it.
Take Omega on Tantiss, keeping herself busy, never once giving up hope. I wonder if that's how she lived in Nala Se's private lab, always hoping to reunite with her brothers and eagerly waiting for a chance.
Basically, I've always felt like tcw and tbb give us the past of the clones implicitly in their behavior. Or maybe that's just me reading too much into it.
Okay, back to Umbara
@margindoodles2407 from whatever I've seen of Fives so far, your analysis is spot-on.
Even Jesse's far more chill than him.
And HARDCASE MY BELOVED <333
Please, he's such an optimistic feller. He would've loved Hevy, Cutup, and Wrecker.
I was cheering every time Fives got to say a bad word on Krell.
Love how the episode moves from Rex bending under the weight of Krell's nature until he decided he could take it no longer and snapped upright. "It's Captain, sir."
Rex and Fives are such father-son, I swear. Such first and second-in-command, what with all the times Rex pulls Fives away to talk with him.
Okay, so Tup is officially the baby of the 501st, right? And by baby I don't mean he acts like one, I mean he's the vod'ika that every clone will coddle because he's new, even if he does murder in cold-blood.
Rex giving off huge eldest son vibes with his "I have a duty to protect these men."
Hate that Rex had to stoop that low and use the "They're not just clones. They're men!" rhetoric. As someone who firmly believes where you come from should have no effect on your worth as a person, this irked me as much as it must've irked Rex and the other clones.
Petition for Fives to deck Krell.
I mean, yeah Dogma gets him good at the end, but Fives should have got the chance. He knew just what Krell was going to be like from the first moment he saw him. Retribution would've been sweet (neither the Christian nor the Jedi way, but c'mon! we all hate this guy)
What sort of hologram is that? With cubes and stuff? It looks so cool, but why is it like that?
Is tcw just going to constantly test Rex's beliefs the entire time? First Cut, then Fives.
Hardcase and Fives laughing and giggling as they flew in those Umbaran ships and blasted the enemy had me crying because they're so happyyy :')
Sorry but Krell calling Rex by his CT number those first two times is hilarious, how do you keep a straight face and say it like that?
Rex, on the other hand, seemed like he was traumatized on so many levels.
Fives is just. So brave, so bold, so fearless. He stands for what he believes in, he will not bow down or cower in the face of adversities. He's got that touch of recklessness, but there's an air of sternness and cleverness about him. He knows what he's doing. He's the madness to his method.
And he's a poet. No take backsies. Some of the best speeches have been given by him. He literally used the word "ire".
He's like a knight of yore. He's got the chivalry, the nobility, the honor, the courage. He's unflinching, he will look death in the face and slay it with his bare hands.
Even at his end, the speech he gave was not with his life in mind but the lives of his brothers.
You've heard of great men, you've heard of good men. And then there are men of high valor like Fives.
Rex's uncertainty is obviously meant to stem from his awkward stance as the bridge between Jedi and clones, but I can't help but see him thinking of his time when he was another defective clone cadet trying his best to survive.
Hardcase why'd you have to gooooo
That reveal, that tear running down Waxer's face, the little Numa painted on his helmet, I'm gonna cry.
Dang, wouldn't want to cross Tup.
"You sound just like Krell." I'd rather be shot with a blaster than be accused of mirroring that demagolka.
When Krell refuses to call for Kenobi, I just knew Rex felt the sinking feeling that he was going to be on his own.
Krell's freaky because throughout the entire thing he never once shows the signs of being a Seppie. Sure, his hatred for the clones is as clear as day, but otherwise, you never realize it's him.
That's all I have for now. Margin, feel free to add on, because the last time you did, you managed to cover stuff I'd been thinking of but had forgotten.

Anakin turns around. He goes back to the ship with Padme and Obi wan. Padme soon gives birth and they raise their children together. Obi wan becomes the godfather. Little Luke loves training with his father while Leia adores hanging around with Obi wan, going on trips to explore and listening to stories about war, the Jedi, the sith etc. Leia and Anakin " fight" all the time as they are both hot headed and Padme is the arbitrator of the family. When Padme or Luke goes away, the other has to keep an eye on the rest of the Skywalker family also known as " walking dangers".
Obi wan spends all of his spare money on the twins, he is like a second father to them. Luke is like " I love you and thank you, but I can't accept it" whereas Leia is like " thanks, old man, let's do it again anytime soon" ( their relationship is more intimate and playful ).
Anakin meets Han Solo and absolutely hates him. He goes ballistic on him every time he joins the family dinner ( invited by Padme who tries her best to be understanding towards Leias choices ). One night Luke tries to talk to Anakin, who in turn admits to him that he would die for his only daughter and all he wants for her is to be with a good man. In time, he sees that Han really loves his daughter and softens ( a bit ).
Every time Leia fights with Anakin, she goes to Obi wan to bitch about him. Obi wan is always like " I know how I can deal with this, I raised your father and you are basically Anakin 2" but he never tells her outright because he knows she'll get mad.
Padme and Luke can communicate with just one glare. They have the best communication as far as the rest of the family members are concerned. Their quiet nature binds them in a beautiful way.
Luke loves Obi wan for his wisdom. When it comes to really important matters, he always asks his opinion. When he was little, he once made a drawing, with the word FAMILY written on top. The drawing included Padme, Anakin, his sister and Obi wan. After showing them the drawing, he told them that when he becomes a man, he will take care of all of them. He was always such a cutie.

Anakin: Why I relate to him
I’m going to change gears a bit from my usual anime/Ben 10 posts to talk about Anakin. I had a period where I pretended to hate him and was super pro Jedi to try and fit in with that fandom. I have changed a lot of my opinions since then. While I’m still not a huge fan of him, my opinion has softened greatly. A lot of Jedi stans act like all people who sympathize with him are conservatives who think you need a 50s nuclear family to be happy and hate Buddhism or aroace people. So I am going to share why I relate to this man’s struggles as a progressive, transgender neurodivergent Asian American.
A lot of people view Anakin in AOTC as just whiny and ungrateful. While the Tusken massacre was wrong, I can emphasize with his anger towards Obi Wan. I have felt belittled, over patronized and gaslit by my father, as well as yelled at. While Anakin was being disrespectful in that scene from AOTC where he reunites with Padme, the way Obi Wan handled it was uncalled for. He should have pulled Anakin aside to let him know there’s a time and place for everything, not humiliate him in front of their hosts.
I’ve made small mistakes due to my autism and dad would make a big deal out of it and tell me “we need to work on your awareness” in front of everyone there. I can also relate to that “he’s jealous! He’s holding me back” scene as someone who wants more out of life and feel like my dad is getting in my way. That scene also reminds me of how a lot of parents treat their kids for having an “attitude” or “talking back” when they’re just trying to explain themselves, are having a bad day or have a different opinion. I’ve also been forced to apologize for lashing out at people who’ve bullied me like in that comic.
When Jedi apologists talk about how Anakin was just greedy for not wanting to share his feelings with Obi Wan or the council, I get the feeling that they’ve had a fairly privileged upbringing. I’ve had trouble opening up to my dad because of how dismissive or terrifying he could be in the past. As a trans person, I’ve had to prepare for the worst possible outcomes and while my coming out went better than I expected, he just invalidated all my fears and acted like I was wrong for not telling him when he did little to provide a safe space, never apologizing for insensitive things he said. Similarly, fans expect Anakin to tell Obi Wan about his marriage despite all the dismissive behavior from him as well as faking his death and doing little to help Ahsoka. People who’ve been gaslit or dismissed for their feelings often resort to keeping secrets as a safety measure.
A child shouldn’t be expected to tell adults anything until they prove they can be trusted. Whenever I talk about my issues with my childhood, people dismiss it as legitimate discipline or tough love, which is another reason why I feel uncomfortable when Jedi apologists act like Kenobi was a good parent. People only see abuse if it’s physical or sexual, but never care or notice if it’s more subtle or emotional. Anakin recognized that Kenobi’s training methods wouldn’t be good for Ahsoka which is why he acts more like Shmi when teaching Ahsoka. My dad is also very sarcastic and is aware of my autism, even praising it at times, but expects me to just understand his “jokes” or insensitive comments.
People say you can’t critique the Jedi because they’re based off eastern philosophy but are they really that different from conservative evangelicals? Obi Wan straight up tells Anakin he can have romantic feelings but can’t act on them. Fans claim Anakin chose to get married and it was on him for not just leaving. I remember being the “weird” kid in a community that was very conservative (family, faith and football) who felt like I couldn’t talk about my interests without being shamed, especially after coming out. I can also emphasize with wanting to leave but feeling an obligation to stay because the people who’ve hurt me do love me and it being complicated.
I think a lot of people who dismiss Obi Wan’s insensitive remarks or child rearing methods are looking at it from an adult’s perspective, since they aren’t bothered by it as much. Adults can yell at, gaslight, spank or humiliate their kids, then act like nothing happened, but when you’re a child, it sticks with you, and is irritating when they try to be “buddy-buddy” with you later. I am also someone who struggles a lot with sarcasm and struggle with letting go of negative emotions because it keeps happening.
This is that post I talked about where I asked a popular Jedi stan their views on adoption. I’m not anti adoption, mind you. I felt Matilda, Suzume and Kung Fu Panda tackled it well with sensitivity. I responded with decency and acted like I agreed with them. But something about their response gave me the ick. I don’t know why but I do have a desire to find my birth mother, eventually. Is it really wrong to worry about your mother if she could be suffering, and you can’t do anything to help? It kind of confirms that a lot of Jedi apologists come from privileged upbringings. I also felt like I had to ask permission to enjoy media that went against the Jedi fandom’s beliefs.
I think that wraps up why I relate to this character even if I don’t agree with his actions. People who say he was just lazy or selfish don’t seem like they understand much about human psychology and abuse and how even “small” things can build up and make a child distrust the adults in their life. I worry a bit about when they become parents and what how their kids will end up. A lot of kids are shamed for not wanting to share their emotions when they have good reasons to keep secrets. How would Jedi stans respond to that? They only care about abuse if it’s physical which is why they make a big deal out of that training scene from TOTJ or act like Anakin abused Rex when throwing him off that wall on Geonosis.

Clan of Three - Chapter 18
Chapter Eighteen: The Foundling
Plot: A Mandalorian, an infant with a history of the jedi, and a teenager with similar powers and a heavy role to bear. Now reunited their journeys across the galaxy are just beginning to complete their final mission.
Word Count: 5.7K
Pairing: Father Figure!Din Djarin x Platonic!Teen!Reader
Warnings: fighting/violence, injuries, some wholesome moments, father-daughter moments, Din being a protective father
------
Another day with the covert another day alone. Din seemed to notice your aversion to the Mandalorians when he tried getting you involved in training and no one wished to challenge you. They knew better following your fight with Durk, he was still healing from his permanent injury and you grew used to the looks and glares he would send your way in passing. So with nothing else to do, you did what you did best and work away at your ship. You had stripped your cloak to not overheat as you lay underneath the ship working at the hyperdrive. Your shoulder healed fine just a bit of soreness and the burn across your neck wrapped in bandages.
“R4 aimed the light a little to the left,” You ask the droid as it shifts slightly, “Stop! Right there.” You say before holding your hand out, “Can you pass me the fusion cutters.” A hand holds out the tool as you grab it absentmindedly not even realizing it.
“Thank you,” “You’re welcome.” A voice responds back as you jolt in surprise your head slamming into the metal with a groan.
“Are you alright?” They ask as you pull yourself from the under the ship holding your forehead, “Dank farrik.” You curse looking up and are greeted by the copper and white Mandalorian from a few nights before. You had seen him in glimpses at the group meals during training with the others which you avoided. But he hadn’t come up to you at all since and you truly thought you came up with the conversation in your state of loneliness.
“It’s you.” You comment rubbing your temple as he holds a hand out which you reluctantly take as he pulls you to your feet with surprising strength and ease. He looks past you at your ship and you can sense the awe in his voice,
“I’ve never seen an X-Wing before, especially a T-65B model. I thought those were only used for the New Republic,” He comments and you look at him in surprise he knew the model and make of the ship.
“Well, not really these are more antiques as they are being replaced by the T-70” “T-70” You both finish your sentence as you look at him in silence not expecting him to know this much about ships, New Republic ones at that. A beep stops you from speaking as R4 comes between the two of you as he beeps giving a shake as he introduces himself.
“Okay, maker…this is-” You start reluctantly but the Mandalorian kneels down to R4’s level, “Nice to meet you R4, I’m Kaz Vyst.” The man-well Kaz introduces himself as R4 beeps happily and Kaz pats his head as you watch.
“You know binary..?” You ask and Kaz looks up at you with a slight tilt of his head, “Enough to get me by on Concordia when trading with some droids.” He explains as he rises to stand and you now notice the height difference between the two of you, he was probably taller than Din by a bit.
“Did your parents teach you?” You question instantly noticing the crestfallen feeling coming off him, “I’m sorry I didn’t mean-”
“You’re alright,” He reassures, “I knew them well enough before they passed. But yeah…they taught me a lot of things. Being a part of the covert and with others helped me…they became my family.” Kaz says and you nod understanding what he meant you had thought you had nothing until you met Din and Grogu creating this small family of the three of you.
“I understand what it’s like losing someone dear to you.” You say and he nods in respect before a call is given out and you realize it’s mid-day meaning lunch. You sigh already readying yourself for the looks and whispers. You might as well skip. You are sure you have some rations in your X-Wing. You’ll just hand back and relax with R4.
“Are you coming to lunch?” Kaz says looking back seeing you haven’t moved, “I’m just going to stay back. I’m sure I have some rations here.” You point behind you and he steps closer to you holding his hand out and you stare at it.
“I’ll have lunch with you.” He says and you look at his hand and then back at him. Dank Farrik he better not screw you over. You ignore his hand but walk past him grabbing your cloak from the ground and he quickly joins your side.
“This doesn’t make us friends.” “That’s fine.” You weren’t allowing this to go any further. Just ignore him until he leaves you alone but how wrong you were of the unlikely friendship made.
Proving yourself wrong you weren’t sure how he managed to weasel his way into your life. It was him following you around keeping a bit of a distance before he soon found himself side by side with you, he would sit beside you at the shore as you meditated while he sat silently, or when you were working on your ship he would help to pass a tool if needed or shining light if none of those things he would talk to R4 as you would work away but you were slowly started listening in. Soon one-sided conversations became you adding your few thoughts and before you knew it Kaz was a daily part of your life in the covert. Meals spent together finding solace eating on the ridge you first met as you both talked about anything, the galaxy, your travels, your lives.
Din knew something was up he spotted you working away at your ship and he usually gave that time for yourself. He knew the nerves of being around a bunch of people who weren’t really fond of you would make anyone stressed. Though you reassured him you were fine he knew you well enough already you were saying that for his sake following your confession at the ridge. He was going to go over and offer some one-on-one training to spend some quality time together when he saw you and heard your laughter. Assuming it was something that droid of yours did he hadn’t expected you to come from behind your ship with another person and a boy no better. You and the Mandalorian at your side didn’t seem to notice Din’s heated stare as he watches the two of you walk towards the covert R4 traveling on your other side leaving you in the middle. He couldn’t hear what you were saying but you were speaking quite animated using your hands a wide grin on your face as the Mandalorian nods. Din was certain he saw red when he sees this boy resting his hand on your shoulder.
He was about to go over at ripped the two of you apart. Who did this boy think he was touching his daughter like that? “Woah slow down there Din…keep glaring and you’ll burn a hole through the beskar.” Bo-Katan’s voice pulls him out of his thoughts of putting the fear of the Maker into this boy. “Looks like she’s got herself a friend.” Bo-Katan was happy for her grand-niece to have some form of friendship that didn’t come from any adults, green infants, or droids.
“He shouldn’t be touching her…who does he think he is?” Din growls and if looks could kill that boy would be six feet under or through Maker knows what kind of hell Din would put him through. Bo-Katan laughs seeing the protectiveness coming from the bounty hunter. Knowing that he was willing to put his skills as a feared bounty hunter to scare off some boy who was talking to his daughter.
“Calm down…I’m sure those two are only friends,” Bo-Katan reassures him as the adults watch the two speak to each other before R4 spins around adding his opinion producing laughter from the two of them and Din’s blood boils seeing the Mandalorian rests his hand on your arm to stabilize himself as he bends over in laughter. “And if not…be glad that he’s only touching her shoulder.” It wasn’t the best thing to say to a very protective father watching his surrogate daughter be friendly with a man who may have intentions. Din didn’t like it at all.
Kaz the sly bastard he was turned out to be good company and soon a close and pretty much your only friend. The covert while not the greatest with whispers behind your back and some glares the copper and white Mandalorian seemed to distract you from all of it. Sitting on the shore the water lapping by you as Grogu sat before you fiddling with some stones, Kaz sat beside you as you traced patterns in the sand watching the small child. Grogu reached out for the ‘rocks’ as they shuffled away from him as he babbled trying to reach for them but they continue shuffling.
“You’re saying he’s older than you and can use the force as well?” Kaz says looking at the small infant that looked younger than the foundlings of the covert but you explained that Grogu was fifty when you met.
“Yeah, he was a part of the Jedi Temple during the Clone Wars, this little guy’s been through a lot.” You say caressing Gorgu’s ears between your fingers producing a giggle as he finally grabs one of the rocks that hold a crab inside it. You hear footsteps as the sunlight is blocked and you look up spotting Din as he looks down at the three of you.
“Put down the rocks, kid. It’s time that you learn with the other foundlings.” Din says as Grogu drops the stone crab with a sad noise before he’s pulled into Din’s arms, “Come on cyar’ika,” Din holds out his hand for you and you accept it letting him pull you to your feet. Wiping some of the sand off your cloak as Kaz joins you in standing.
“Din this is Kaz Vyst, my friend. Kaz this is Din Djarin, my dad.” You introduce the two of them and while Din should be scaring this punk who was around you he was thrown aback by his title. ‘My dad’. He was silent for a second before registering a hand in front of his vision.
“It’s nice to meet you, sir. You have a lovely daughter,” Kaz says and you shove the boy slightly in the arm from his comment. Din stares at the hand like it’s a foreign object before he’s turning his arm around your shoulder pulling you with him as you glance back behind seeing Kaz as you give him a confused look. “Playtime’s over. I’m gonna need you two to focus.” He says ignoring the younger Mandalorian as you’re brought to a sparring between foundlings.
“Next challenger.” He places Grogu on the ground as the battle between the two foundlings continues before Ragnar, Paz Vizsla’s son wins.
“Winner!”
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Bo-Katan comes up beside you as the three watch the small child look confused on the sand. “If he is ever to rise from foundling to apprentice, he must learn. Judge! He challenges.” Din calls out and the Judge looks at Grogu before shaking his head,
“He is too small.” “I am his ward. Proceed.” Din retorts as Grogu coos playing with the sand.
“What weapon?” The judge asks and Din gestures to Ragnar, “Let the challenged decide.”
“Darts.” He decides and the judge calls in the training darts while waiting the boy looks at Grogu before speaking up “Why doesn’t he wear a helmet?”
“He is too young to speak the Creed, and so, too young to wear a helmet.” Din explains and the foundling crosses his arms, “Then he’s too young to fight.”
“One does not speak unless one knows. Is that not the Creed?” Din questions knowing he was right the boy is slightly embarrassed as he retorts, “Well, I know.”
“Perhaps this lesson is for you, then,” Din responds as a Mandalorian return with the darts
“Fighters, arm yourselves.” The Judge says as the boy attaches his dart launcher to his wrist. Bo-Katan takes the launcher kneeling down to Grogu whispering to him as she latches the buckle around his wrist. The object looks too large on his small arms. “Hey, what was that whole thing with Kaz about?” You whisper to Din and you see him stiffen.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He responds before Bo-Katan returns the conversation dropped as you stare at the side of his helmet trying to read him but coming up with nothing.
“Each has three darts. You may fire the darts in any order. Each direct hit scores one point. A mark must be visible to score. One round. The highest score wins.” The judge says and Grogu looks back at the three of you with big eyes.
“Squeeze your fist to launch the darts,” Din says crouching down producing another confused noise from Gorgu, “You’ll be fine.”
“He doesn’t know how to fire darts?” Bo-Katan asks as he rises to return to her side as Grogu turns forward to the other foundling, “He’s got this. Trust me.” He says glancing over to talk to you but comes up with nothing. His fatherly sense goes off before quickly spotting you sitting on a crate to watch the fight and beside you that boy as the two of you talk to one another. He would have gone over and challenged the boy himself but the fight with his other child has already begun
“Ready. Begin!”
Ragnar sents a dart splashing green paint staining his small robe, “Point!” Grogu turns looking up at his father his clothes stained producing a sad expression on his face. “Don’t look at me. Look at him.” Din gestures to his opponent.
“Ready. Begin!” The boy once again first a dart producing a grunt from the child as another splatter of paint stains his coat, “Point!”
“Grogu, I’ve seen what you can do. It’s okay. Show them.” Din steps forward looking down at his son before Grogu turns around to face Ragnar. “Ready. Begin!” Ragnar fires a dart but Grogu flips over the boy’s head landing behind him and fires all three darts the blue paint splattered on the boy’s clothes.
“Whoa!” “Three points. Winner!”
You smile from your spot as the crowd applauds Din coming over to Grogu Bo-Katan beside him, “That kid can jump.” Kaz says in awe seeing what the Force can really do and influence.
“Come on,” You hop off the crate to go over and congratulate Grogu when a large screech fills the air and a large flying creature snatches up Ragnar pulling him into the sky. Din pulls out his blaster to take aim but Vizsla forces him to lower the weapon, “No blasters, it will kill the child. Follow it to its lair.”
“Go on I’ll catch up!” You yell to Kaz as he nods taking for the sky with his jetpack following the other Mandalorians, “R4!” You’re sprinting towards your ship spotting the droid who already knows you are going to ask already staring up the ship, you catch Bo-Katan entering hers as you pull yourself onto the wing sliding into the cockpit. You and Bo-Katan are departing quickly to follow after the creature in your ships.
The few Mandalorians chasing after the creature soon run out of fuel as they land watching the creature fly off, “I’m out of fuel. It always gets away.” Vizsla says as Din and the others watch the creature leave with the foundling. The air suddenly kicks up as an X-wing flies past them seeing them continue after the creature and the arrival of Bo-Katan’s ship that goes to pick up the Mandalorians.
Returned to the covert the Mandalorians exit Bo-Katan’s ship as your X-Wing lands you climb out followed by R4 who follows after you. The crowd gathers as you stand between Bo-Katan and Din, “I kept a high altitude and followed it to its lair. I know how to get there. We should gather up a hunting party and go after him.” You explain as R4 moves forward revealing a hologram showing the terrain of the creature’s nest. “R4 was able to scout where it lives and mapped the location. There.” You point at the highest peak of the mountain, “The nest.”
“It flew a long way,” Din explains and you nod, “The mountains are too high. If we use jetpacks, the beast will hear.” Vizsla states.
“It would kill the child.” The Armorer says the worse scenario possible, “These are no higher than the peaks of Beggar’s Canyon. I used to climb them as a child. I’ll fly to the foothills, and scale the rest of the way on foot.” You say. Most wreckages of ships and bikers were mainly in Beggar’s Canyon, especially during podracing season. You scaled those cliffs throughout your childhood getting scraps and parts to sell the Jawas.
“I’ll join you.” Din says looking at you, “Paz Vizsla, enjoin the Shriekhawk Training team to accompany you. I will pack extended lariats for your launchers. We must avoid explosives and blasters for the safety of the foundling.” The Armorer orders as the decision of this party made. Din comes over to you as you stand watching the Mandalorians come together for this hunting party.
“You okay?” He asks and you nod rubbing your sweaty palms on your pants trying to get rid of your nerves, “Just surprised they’re fine working alongside me given everything.” You state your concern as the party assembles their weapons and gear. His hand rest on your shoulder calming your nerves.
“Come we should get going.” He says and you nod as you watch the group begin to board Bo-Katan’s ship you notice Kaz coming over to you, “Looking real professional talking to everyone.” He says and you elbow his side hearing the modulated laughter coming from him.
“Pretty sure I blacked out over there, not sure if I made a fool of myself.” You admit and his arm wraps around your shoulder pulling you into his side. “You were horrible they’re actually planning to feed you to the creature.” You shove him off you as you climb into your X-Wing R4 following behind you as you lean over in your seat looking down at him.
“You’re really funny.” You roll your eyes and you notice the new gear on him, “You’re coming?” Kaz nods and he shows his pauldron with the Shriek-Hawk signet.
“Yeah works out I’ll make sure you won’t make a fool out of yourself.” He says and you power up the X-Wing droning out his teasing.
“Sorry can’t hear you!” You yell over the sound of the engine, “Better get on the ship before it leaves you.” You point to Bo-Katan’s ship and he rushes to the ship as you chuckle closing the canopy.
“Bo everyone ready?” You ask as you begin your takeoff, “Ready when you are.” Bo-Katan responds as the two ships take off the small infant watches from the shore as his family heads off. Following the coordinates R4 set before finding a canyon, “Let’s land here.” You say through your comms as you both land all of your departing from the ship.
“Stay here R4 and watch the ships. I’ll call you in case I need you.” You say handing a commlink to your droid as he beeps standing guard and you grin before taking the disc of the map created from his memory. Turning to the group as they depart from Bo-Katan’s ship, “We’ll continue on foot from here. Any closer, and it will hear the ships.” The sun is high in the sky as your trek begins by the time you reach the rock formation it’s sundown.
“The target is on the top of this peak. If we tuck in under this outcropping, we sleep out of the line of sight, and climb at first light.” You explain pointing to the large tower that is above you all that holds the nest.
“We will make camp,” Vizsla says as you all begin to make camp for the night. The fire from bits of branches and scraps burns in front of you all as you sit between Din and Bo-Katan as the others talk amongst themselves. You see one of the Mandalorians begin passing small trays of food to each one of you and you glance at everyone confused.
“How do you guys eat when other people are around?” You ask Din as you see others begin to stand, “You don’t. When you get your food, you go off to find a place where you can take off your helmet.” He explains as he receives his meal standing his hand smoothing your hair out before he leaves and you stand to join Din, you could sit back to back but Vizsla stops you.
“You are the leader of the war party. You have the honor of staying by the fire,” You can hear the disdain in his voice but tradition out rules how he feels about you, “This is the Way.” Soon you’re left all alone the only sound being the crackling of the fire as you look at your meal before slowly eating it.
“I hope you don’t mind if I join you, leader of the war party?” You hear Kaz’s voice and you turn to spot him standing right outside the light of the firepit. A small smile graces your face and you pat the spot beside you, “Your leader grants you permission.” You joke and his chuckle fills the air as he comes to your side both of you turning back to back already used to eating with the Mandalorian. You hear the hiss of his helmet coming off his head and the thunk of metal being placed on the ground. It’s quiet between you two but not an uncomfortable silence.
“Can I ask you something?” He asks and you hum placing the now empty container to your side as you lean against his back looking up at the stars that grace you. “Would you do anything for someone knowing it was against something you were raised to believe in…” You wanted to turn and look at him but refrain knowing he still had his helmet off. His voice was smooth and crisp without the modulator. His question left many things open for you to assume. You assumed the part of being raised by being his Creed.
“I mean it all depends on how you feel about the person. I mean…I turned away from the Jedi to stay with Din. I guess I’ve never had a code or creed to keep me from acting on instinct,” You say. There wasn’t anything in this galaxy that could stop you from being beside the silver Mandalorian. You were willing to tear the galaxy apart to remain with him. “There’s nothing in the galaxy that could keep me apart from my family….from my friends.” You say and your hand reaches behind you feeling it come into contact with his and he quickly wraps your hand with his own.
“Why do you ask? Got a crush you need help with?” You remark in a joking tone and his chuckle feels like a fresh breath of air as his thumb runs across the scarring of your knuckles tenderly. “Not sure what it is…just confused over love.” He says and you let out an airy laugh.
“Love? You must have it bad then…sadly I can’t be much help in that department.” You say and you hear him shift slightly and you can feel his gaze on the back of your head, “Why not?”
You shrug continuing your gaze on the sky, “I’m not sure I know what love is. I’ve been alone most of my life and the times I was with people they were either too old or too younger. I didn’t really interact with people my age until now I guess so I never had a crush or felt feelings for anyone.” You say as it grows silent, “I would like to know what it is though…to be in love. To have that one person that means everything to me.”
“Really,” He says and you nod though he couldn’t see you, “They would just have to be ready to deal with a very protective bounty hunter of a father and a small green infant that can move things with his mind.” You say laughter fills the air from the both of you before the silence settles over you two it was warm but not from the fire beside you two.
“Ni guuror gar mesh'la.” You hear him say squeezing your hand and you frown not understanding what he said except hearing the word ‘you’ in the sentence.
“What did you say?” You ask and you feel him pull away from you hearing his helmet get put back on you turn around to see the beskar helmet covering his face. The two of you watch each other and you couldn’t deny how much it annoyed you that you couldn’t read him. You sense no hidden emotions through the beskar helmet. Din and the others were very animated with their emotions but Kaz..it was like staring at a blank wall.
His hand rises pushing a stray piece of hair out of your face before he speaks up, “Don’t worry about it.” You didn’t get to push him more as the war party returns Kaz standing moving towards his team as Din and Bo-Katan rejoin your side. Bo-Katan gives the other Mandalorian a look over your shoulder both noticing you staring at the other boy. Din and Bo-Katan had only caught the last glimpse of him pulling away from you but it was enough to send the bounty hunter’s blood boiling. Din could read Bo-Katan’s expression through her helmet, ‘Relax’.
You sigh leaning against Din’s side and he doesn’t hesitate to wrap an arm around your shoulders tucking your closer to his side. “Everything alright cyar’ika?” He asks and you nod your mind still thinking about your conversation with the copper and white Mandalorian. You had a thousand questions, who did he like? Why was this person so important he was willing to break his Creed? Was he going to stop being your friend if he found a lover? Why did your chest burn and why did you feel like crying over it? It was stupid you felt childish worrying over small things as if he would leave and you lose your only friend. You nod looking away from the boy bringing your gaze to the fire.
“Yeah I’m fine…just some stuff on my mind.”
The next morning at first light you leave the outcropping standing beside the large rockface, “The raptor’s lair is atop the highest peak. Now, our hope is that the child is still alive so we have to make sure not to fire on the raptor.” You say pointing at the large climb you all would have to take,
“It will kill the foundling if attacked. It has happened before when it has taken others.” Paz Vizsla states and you nod,
“Our best bet is stealth. Your jetpacks will alert it to our presence,” You explain before heading towards the rockface, “Let’s move.” The sunrose as you climbed up the pillar of stone using grappling hooks. The height was a bit daunting the higher you went but you were able to climb Beggar’s Canyon as a child and that had been without a grappling hook at all for safety. Mid-day greets you as you reach the peak seeing the large branches that make up the nest. Looking to make sure the creature isn’t there before you turn to wave the others to follow you,
“It’s not here. Let’s find the kid.” You say as the others join you and you see Din scanning around, “I see a heat source there.” He points further to the back of the nest and Vizsla is already climbing over the branches entering the nest.
“Wait until we clear the area.” Bo-Katan hisses and Vizsla barely glances back, “He’s my son.” Entering further you all join as he shouts, “Ragnar?! Ragnar! Ragnar!” Suddenly three chicks appear from resting in the nest screeching wildly and trying to bite at Vizsla. While they were babies they were much taller than any of you alerting its mother as it appears regurgitating Ragnar as he screams out
“Help me!” “He’s alive!” His father yells out scrambling to help his son when the raptor grabs Vizsla by the mouth dropping his son to take him in his claws. They suddenly are pulled into the air and you’re rushing forward firing the grappling hook as it digs into the neck of the creature as you jump off the cliff.
“Kid!” “Y/n!” You hear voices call out as you are pulled into the air the creature flying off, retracting the cable in you’re pulled forward landing on the creature's back. It senses you trying to shake you off but the cable is dug in and you hold tight to the cable. You hear the blaster fire of the Mandalorians as they try to grow close but the raptor continues to shake them off. Pulling your saber off your belt the blade a brilliant glow as you stab it into its back producing a wild screech and releasing Vizsla from its mouth. The other Mandalorians fire their lariats trying to attach them to the creature Din getting on wrapped around its wing and throwing it off-balance. The sudden change almost sends you sliding off but you hold tightly onto the cable. Seeing an opening you rush forward releasing the cable as the saber runs down the front of its body it roars in pain releasing Ragnar as your body collides with the child holding him in your arms as you fall. His screams fill your ears and you spot Din racing toward you,
“You’re gonna be alright kid!” You yell before pushing him off you while throwing your hand out with a force push putting him right into Din’s arms as he flies by, the two landing on the cliffside. Your rapid descent with the creature crashing into the water. You see the large dinosaur turtle appear and you close your eyes waiting for the inevitable when arms wrap around your waist and you are pulled back into the sky. Seeing copper and white armor you tighten your grip around his neck as Kaz pulls you away from the danger.
“Maker are you always this reckless!” He yells breathlessly over the rushing wind as you fly to safety. “On a daily basis!” You shout back as you rejoin the group and the saved foundling. Touching the ground your feet settling onto the ground from Kaz’s grip you’re instantly pulled into a bone-crushing hug from Din as a mumbles rapid prayers and curses.
“You’re going to give me a heart attack one of these days.” He sighs pulling back and checking over you seeing you just look tousled by the wind and he smooths your hair back.
“I’m fine Din,” You reassure him as he continues looking over for even the most minuscule injury, “I’m not the one that was kidnapped.” You say looking over at Vizsla as he speaks to his son keeping him in a tight embrace.
Returning to your ships with the foundling you quickly arrive back to the covert seeing the crowd waiting for your arrival. Exiting your ship R4 follows behind as Bo-Katan’s ship opens revealing the group and the crowd claps and cheers seeing the returned foundling. You see the Armorer appear from the mass standing before you, “Y/n Kryze, you have honored your House and all of Mandalore. You have done the highest honor of the Creed. Saving a foundling.” She says and you nod in thanks unable to stop the wide grin appearing on your face.
“This is the Way.” You say and she nods approvingly repeating your words, “This is the Way.”
“And we have brought you three more foundlings in need of care and training.” You say and the Armorer tilts her head slightly, “Is that so?” The screeching from the hatchlings appears from Bo-Katan’s ship guided by two Mandalorians holding a hunk of meat on a stick. The crowd exclaims as the large raptors try eating the meat. Bo-Katan and Din come to your side the man patting your shoulder and you could feel the pride coming on him same with your grand-aunt.
“You’re in need of a repair. Come with me.” The Armorer notices the missing pauldron on Bo-Katan’s shoulder and she’s soon being led away leaving you with Din and Grogu whom he quickly pulls into his arms. You look at the large crowd that gathers around Vizsla and Ragnar thankful for seeing him returned. Your gaze meets the brash Mandalorian as he gives a sharp nod in thanks and you return your own one back. Din saw you grow before his own eyes when he first met this skittish smart-mouth kid who wanted nothing to do with him but now he looks at a young still smart-mouth woman who has matured and is becoming a true leader. You made your house proud with your actions and also your small clan of three. Din felt pride in being your father figure knowing he guided you and raised you to become this smart, independent woman. You were the person to rightfully wield the Darksaber and lead their people he could see that.
“I’m proud of you kid,” Din says and the grin you send him could melt Hoth with its warmth. You felt like you were on cloud nine as he stepped away with Gorgu who coos happily to see you. Mandalorians come up to you congratulating you, patting your shoulders, or saying the phrase ‘This is the Way’ and you repeat it back. You felt like an outcast coming here but you had proven to the others. Leadership, loyalty, and compassion are the signs of a true Mandalorian the one you are slowly becoming to be.

Chapter VIII ''Consequences''
She was looking for peace, but it only lasted a few moments.
She didn't know what planet she was on, but she could be sure that she was experiencing some kind of vision. She couldn't tell what planet it was, but it didn't seem particularly friendly. The sun was covered by clouds, it looked like a downpour was approaching, something she really didn't want to experience. She stood in the middle of a paved road and didn't know what to do. She crossed to one side and stepped off the road onto the muddy verge, and then onto the grass.
Maybe a kilometer away was the edge of a escarpment, and below it were huge ocean waves, the sight of which almost made her knees buckle. She didn't go any closer, especially since the wind was blowing hard in her face and she had to squint. She returned to the street. Houses lined the street. It was daytime, but despite that there was no one here, maybe everyone was at their job? Or maybe this was some strange dream, and that's why it was so empty.
She still wouldn't know what to do with herself if it weren't for a woman's scream coming from one of the houses. She immediately ran there. The door was wide open, so she went inside, looking around for the person who was screaming.
The house wasn't big or in very good condition. Downstairs it consisted of a hallway, two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs there could be at most a low attic. All the walls needed repainting, because they were already dirty or with peeling paint. Elyssa immediately ran to the smaller of the rooms, because that's where the noise was coming from. She stopped, grabbing the doorframe when she saw two familiar faces.
In the back of the room, a woman was sitting on the bed, hugging what looked like a two-year-old child. Both the child and the woman were crying, she must have heard her scream from the street. In front of her stood a man, a little older than her. He looked like he was defending her and the child from people she knew all too well.
"She'll have a better life than here, she'll become a Jedi." Lys entered the room to get a better look at the situation. Sol said it. He reached out his hand towards the child, but the man reacted quickly and hit it.
"We already told your friends when they were here that we won't give up our child." the stranger growled.
Sol - who looked younger here - looked to the side at the person who accompanied him, Vernestra. Lys took a few more steps to the side to get a better look at her former Master. She looked conflicted, unsure of what to do. What the man had said suggested that there had been some Jedi in this house before, probably those who had found a Force-sensitive child and done a test, but the parents had said they won't give up the child and the matter should be over... After all, they had the right to do so. So why were Sol and Vernestra here now?
It had to be the past, but why was she suddenly seeing it? Was this... her history...? No...
"The Jedi Order has been training successive generations of Jedi for thousands of years." Vernestra said and tried to approach the woman with the child. It seemed that she was still unsure of what she was doing, but at the same time as if she wanted to tell Sol to 'just get it over with'.
"But you have no right to take children away from their parents by force." the stranger replied, blocking the Jedi Master's path and trying to push her away at arm's length.
"She's our only child. We may not be the wealthiest, but we're doing fine! You can take everything from us, but not her! We wanted a child so much!" the woman added, trying to fight back tears and calm her daughter at the same time.
"What kind of child is born with a scar across half of their face?" Lys' former Master replied, continuing to struggle with the stranger.
My... father?
This... Is it me? Am I that child? They lied to me? I didn't get this scar, but I was born with it? But... Why? Why wouldn't they tell me the truth, why did they hide it from me? Why... Why I have it?
Lots of questions, but no answers, so Lys continued to watch the scene that was unfolding before her.
"Ours!"
"Move!"
"Vernestra!" their argument was interrupted by Sol's shout, indicating that Lys' father was trying to reach for Vern's weapon.
Everything happened very quickly. The man tried to reach for the lightsaber on the Master's belt. She couldn't allow that, so she quickly grabbed it herself. Unfortunately, a bit too late, because the man managed to grab the hilt. They struggled briefly, until a purple blade shot out of the saber and pierced the man's stomach, before Vernestra could move away or deactivate it.
Lys wanted to react somehow, but everything happened before she could run to the struggling pair. Would she even be able to do anything, since in the vision no one was noticing her, because all of this had already happened? She only saw him grab the hilt of the sword, and it being turned on.
For a moment, everyone was in shock. Almost everyone, because Vernestra managed to quickly shake it off - or at least that's what it looked like - and ran to the woman still sitting on the bed, and snatched the child from her arms.
Lys was no longer listening to what the Jedi were saying to each other, the words seemed to fly through her ears, but without understanding. She stood and watched as the woman - most likely her mother - struggled, not knowing what to do. She wanted to save her child, but the Jedi were already gone. She wanted to save her beloved, but he was already dead.
Finally, she sank to the floor next to him and placed her shaking hands on his shoulders, not stopping the tears that were streaming down her cheeks. She was mumbling something through her tears, but so indistinctly that it was impossible to understand her. And it would be hard anyway, because Lys could hear as if she were underwater. She stopped feeling her legs and the rest of her body, only heavy breathing and tears streaming down her face, but not before she felt their salty taste in her mouth.
She wanted to retreat, to leave this terrible place, to forget what she had seen, but as soon as she took a step back her legs buckled under her - or the ground caved in? She wasn't sure. Her breath caught in her throat as she desperately tried to grab onto something. One of her hands hit a rock, and the other immediately joined it.
She didn't want to look down, but she couldn't find any footing under her feet, so she had to. Below her was only a huge abyss, and at its end powerful waves crashing against the stones.
In a way, she felt like she was in her nightmare, when she couldn't reach the shore, which was so damn close. Now she couldn't pull herself up, her hands didn't seem to want to cooperate with her, and her tears - instead of regular water - were choking her. She really didn't want to fall, even though she knew that none of this was real, she was terrified of the pain of falling, of contact with water, of what awaited her there. She forced herself to pull her still slightly limp legs up and found support higher up, so she pulled herself up to her waist. Although her legs were still dangling over the edge, she felt a little safer - if she could even talk about any positive emotions at this point - when at least the upper part of her body was on the ground.
One of her hands clenched on a stone, the other on the grass - she also rested her forehead on it, trying to understand what she had just seen and what emotions were tearing her up. It was night, but still quite warm, and she remained in her position, allowing herself to cry.
After a few minutes, she raised her head and intended to pull herself up to the end, but then she noticed the woman, her mother. She walked forward with an absent look, stopping only at the very edge of the precipice, right next to the place where Lys was lying.
Her voice caught in her throat, she was unable to say anything, even though she really wanted to.
She had to get up first, stand on her feet and feel the ground beneath them, then it would definitely be better. She wanted to pull herself up, but then the woman suddenly leaned forward and began to fall.
A scream tore itself from Lys' throat, followed immediately by another, when she felt the ground begin to collapse beneath her and there was nothing to grab onto. With a scream she also began to fall towards the waves that seemed to be waiting to swallow her.
Suddenly everything stopped.
She was no longer there, but back in the cave, but all the scenes she had experienced were still flashing through her mind, and her heart was squeezed by emotions.
The mask hit the floor. Qimir was kneeling in front of her and holding her hands, but she could still feel them shaking. If it weren't for the fact that she was trying to control her breathing so as not to choke on air - or on the tears that were constantly streaming down her cheeks - she would have noticed the worry on his face.
So many thoughts per second, she still couldn't put them in order... Is this her past? Her parents... They didn't want to give her up. They loved her, loved her so much that they were ready to die for her. She felt stupid that she almost never spent time thinking about them. She asked herself why everything had turned out this way and not another, but she didn't pursue the subject in any way, and in the meantime...
The two people she trusted so much turned out to be the most unworthy of that. So many years. So many long years and no one told her anything. They didn't admit to what had happened. They didn't think she deserved to know the truth. They preferred to lie to her. It doesn't matter that she didn't ask. How could they look her in the eye? Had they forgotten how they had taken her from her parents illegally, by force? How Vernestra had killed her father?
No, she was definitely tormented by remorse, that must have been the reason she took her as her Padawan. She wanted to redeem herself somehow, but she had completely failed her. "You can trust me, as I trust you."
Lies. All lies.
Did anyone else know? If so, who? Does anyone know what happened to her mother? That she killed herself out of despair?
Is that why she had nightmares? Is that why she dreamed about drowning? Is that why she was so afraid of water?
"Lys, look at me." She felt one hand squeeze both of hers, and the other land on her face and gently wipe away the tears that were slowly stopping. Finally, her gaze stopped being empty, staring into nothingness, she moved it to him.
He asked her to do this because he was afraid that she still hadn't woken up from... whatever it was.
He had no idea that something like this would happen. If that were the case, he wouldn't have suggested that she put on a mask. He would never want to see her like this, tears streaming down her cheeks, shaking, terrified.
He would like to be able to offer her comfort, whatever she needed, a hug? He would immediately pull her to his chest, gently run his fingers through her hair, stroke her head. He would sit with her like that for as long as she needed, even a whole day. But he sincerely doubted that she would take such a gesture from him well.
"What did you see?" he asked gently, stroking the backs of her hands with his thumbs in a soothing gesture.
However, she abruptly ripped her hands from his gentle embrace and wrapped her arms around herself, not even answering his question.
She was holding back her emotions again. How much can you bear before you suddenly snap?
On the one hand, she didn't look like she should be left alone, but if she wasn't going to talk, maybe it would be best for her after all? He wasn't sure. He had one more thing to do himself, which in theory he shouldn't delay, but...
"Where are you going?" she asked, when Qimir stood up and started to walk away, but stopped at the sound of her voice. After a moment, a quite plausible answer came to her mind, so she added: "You still want to kill Mae."
He slowly turned around, looking her over. She still didn't look her best. She didn't want to tell him what she had seen, but it must have been awful for her and she should calm down, rest, before they fly anywhere.
"It will be better for you to stay here." he said finally, intending to leave without further discussion, but Lys stopped him again.
"And where do you intend to fly?" she asked, rising from her chair. "It will take you a long time to find her, you don't know where she is."
She paused for a long moment here. She didn't want Mae to get hurt, but at the same time, because of the inexplicable bond she felt with her, she could tell where she was and where she was probably going. And she was sure she wasn't alone, most likely with Sol. She had to confront him about what she had just learned.
Was all of this true? Would he deny it? Or maybe he would try to explain it somehow, as if the Order had done nothing wrong? She had to hear what he had to say to her on this subject. And Vernestra... She wasn't sure if he would be able to look at her in even the slightest part the same way as before.
"But I do." she finished.
He was absolutely not happy that she was right. He needed her, no matter how much he would prefer that she gives herself time to process everything she had seen. He couldn't stop her by force, even if he wanted to - especially since he had already given her the option to leave whenever she wanted.
"So we're going together."
He still wondered one thing: Why did she want to go with him to find Mae? It had to be something more behind it. He was afraid to find out how deep she just have been hurt and angry that she wouldn't let him comfort her.
