At a March on Saturday, at a pro Palestine march, my group and I were targeted by by nazis. Not targeted for violence, but targeted for recruitment. They weren't wearing swastikas, they weren't spewing blatant antisemitic hate speech. They seemed like two normal dudes. They marched with us, talked about how awful everything in Palestine was, how we wished world leaders would grow a pair and hold Israel responsible for fucking war crimes, how existing in the world right now was hard. They were empathetic, they were kind, they seemed like genuine good dudes.

Until we passed a synagogue where people were handing our water to marchers. They had signs defending Palestine on their table. But the tone of the conversation changed. These two seemingly normal dudes started talking about how "performative" the gesture felt, that Jewish people should be doing more. That they needed to PROVE it. They started talking about "Zionist" propaganda in the US, about how it was deeply entrenched in capitalism. Things that, on the surface, seemed reasonable but it set off alarm bells in my head.

When I was a kid, I remember getting the speech of "don't repeat anything your uncle or cousin so and so says and don't argue with them. Try to avoid them but if you can't be polite." Because those uncles and cousins said a lot of hateful things about anyone who wasn't like them, but their favorite targets were black people and Jewish people. I would find out as an adult it was because many of those uncles and cousins were in the Klan. When I studied hate symbols for a class in college, I found my self looking at images I'd seen on arms and necks and hands my whole life, because I live in an area of the US where the KKK is still around. And standing in that crowd, listening to these guys talk, i had the most horrible realization I've had in a long time.

We were being fished by Nazis. We were a group of able body, white American leftists. At a march in support of stopping the murder and genocide of Palestinians, these motherfuckers were out here, trying to find people they could get to hate Jewish folks. I wasn't the only one in my group who clocked it, and when we called them on it, the masks came off. They called us a bunch of "Jew loving bitches" before they moved on.

But we're marched with these guys for a couple hours, talked with them, laughed with them, brought them into our circle. For a moment we forgot we also weren't immune to propaganda, we weren't immune to people who make hate sound reasonable and that people like that never start out saying the quiet part out loud, they lean on your anger and your sense of helplessness to move you where they want you. If the last eight years has taught us anything, it's that fascists know how to adjust to the times, to work with what they got, to recruit. They know how to radicalize people, how to weaponize anger and helplessness. And I'm sitting here, every day, seeing posts that sound exactly like these guys did and it worries me.

I know I'm talking to the No Reading Comprehension Website, but I'm begging you guys to develop some now.

You are not immune to propaganda. We are all angry, as we fucking should be. We are watching an entire culture, thousands of lives, whole bloodlines, being wiped out in real time, and for many of us our nations are at best, wringing their hands, and at worst, shipping them weapons, all to protect capitalist greed. It's monstrous, it's disgusting. But look, REALLY LOOK, at the things you are tweeting, sharing, look at the language and how it's used. Take the time to educate yourself about how hate groups use social justice causes and civil unrest to recruit, research the posts your spreading, check your sources. If you are out protesting, be situationally aware, and do not be afraid to clock and call out Nazis. Listen to Jewish people, listen to their concerns, educate yourself on what Zionism and antisemitism actually are and how they can be weaponized. I don’t know if this will reach anyone, and quite frankly, I don’t give a fuck. I have shit I need to say and shit that people need to hear.

First and foremost, Free Palestine. It has always been Free Palestine, and will always be Free Palestine.

My earliest memory of the occupation of Palestine was when I was seven. At the age of seven, I had the emotional maturity, the human decency to look at what was happening and come to the conclusion that the Palestinians were innocent. They were being forced out of their homes by the settle colony isr*el, and that they needed to be freed.

If I, at the mere age of seven, can come to that conclusion, then what the fuck are the world leaders in GOVERNMENT doing? I’m a Muslim, Alhamdulillah, and as a Muslim, I have utter belief in the fact that Palestine will indeed be free one day, by the will of Allah S.W.T. I have no doubt about it, but as a human, I am begging for a ceasefire on the attacks in Gaza, on innocent civilians. isr*el has cut off water, food, electricity and fuel. They had previously prevented aid from entering from Egypt, only just allowing twenty trucks of aid in to Gaza, which we all know does nothing to help the 2.2 million people there.

For 75 years, Palestine has been illegally occupied, Palestinians have been slaughtered and forced out of their homes. Everyday, they live in constant fear. Not just in Gaza, but also in the West Bank (which Hamas has no presence there, if you were wondering). Everyday of their lives, they’ve been beaten, hit, killed. And on October 7th, they decided to fight back.

And before you come for me, I do not condone the murder of innocents, like children. But, I cannot also say that all those isr*elis are innocent. Just them calling themselves isr*elis makes them somewhat accountable as they are saying they accept the apartheid, the genocide and ethnic cleansing. isr*el is not a state. It is a settler colony, and in my eyes, I will never ever recognise them as anything else.

Also, not to mention that in 2019 69% of men and 56% of women were serving in the army (I couldn’t find more recent statistics than that, I’m afraid.) But, at the same time, a life lost is a life lost. It’s heartbreaking, and my prayers are with all those who have lost family.

But, let’s move onto Gaza.

2.2 million people. 25 miles long and 5 miles wide. Over 1.1 million are children. The death toll is now over 5000. Over 1700 of them are CHILDREN. Over 51% of people in Gaza are now homeless, due to their homes being bombed and having no safe place to go. If you look up the amount of people who are homeless in the UK and the US, add those two figures together, and you’ll see that it still doesn’t come close to the amount of displaced people in Gaza. Palestine was always, and has forever been Palestine. The brits ‘gave’ Palestine to the jews after the atrocities of WWII, and Palestinians welcomed them.

Then the Nakba happened in 1948.

This is a crime against humanity, a massacre of Palestinians, a slaughter of children. This is another Holocaust.

And, if you support Palestine, that does not make you antisemitic. It makes you human. Orthodox Jews from all over the world have showcased their support for the Palestinians- they do not claim Israel, do not believe it to be their land, and have and always will recognise it as Palestine.

This is not a war. This is not a conflict. This is ethnic cleansing. It isn‘t limited to religion, as there are Muslims, Christians and Jews in Palestine.

You don’t have to be Muslim to support Palestine, you just have to be human.

I’m sorry if this is all over the place. There’s so much I want to say, and it’s difficult to articulate when I’m this angry. I’m just going to say one last thing.

This may be completely left of field so don't answer this if you don't want to, but I'm pissed off and need to get this off my chest. Im sick of this f1 community and there "activism". Ive gotta give some context to what im going on about, this is regarding f1 fans and their continued belief that they are right and the drivers should be so left winged and hippie esque people.

Firstly regarding lewis and his OG insta story about the Palestine/isreal war, from my view point that wasn't taking sides that was asking for a ceasefire and peace FOR ALL. All these f1 fans and lewis fans think he's some amazing top tier moral belief guy, but he still hangs out and according to them dating some Brazilian model who has and continues to post pro isreal content, supposedly going agaisnt boy/friend lewis' moral beliefs as according to his fans. So if he's so morals based and is stance on his pro Palestine side according again to his fans who'll read anything the way they want for it to be portrayed why is he associated with her? Maybe because he's not as pro Palestine as these people think or maybe he's neutral but knew people would "rely on him" 🙄 to be the "political humanitarian" driver 🙄 nothing wrong with using your platform for the better but stop with God esque stature.

Side bar lewis' friend Shaun White settled a law suit with a alleged victim over sexual harassment claims in 2018... no one talks about that huh? Bit high horse there huh lewis. Friends with a dude who settled a lawsuit and even admitted of doing some of the alleged wrongdoings but talking high and mighty about the Christian Horner situation.

supporting palestine ≠ being antisemitic. israel has been occupying palestine for decades and palestine has a right to resist. educate yourself.

you don't want to go here. For the past six years, I have dedicated hundreds of hours of my time to researching and studying BOTH sides of this historical dilemma. You can even scroll back far enough on my blog to see that in earlier times, I stood with Palestine when I felt things were being done unfair.

I only now have a problem when Hamas, who is a terrorism group, is kidnapping and raping/murdering the people of Israel. These people were celebrating peace at the end of the Jewish holiday week of Sukkot.

One of my friends was at the peace concert, dedicated to celebrating and enjoying this occasion. She had to run for her life because of a surprise Hamas attack that ended with both her Parents and cousin being abducted and shoved into vehicles at gunpoint. Palestinians were not under attack by Israel when this was happening, and it was unprompted. My friend is in an unsafe location, less than 50 miles from Gaza, and has had to run away from her home several times due to missile alarms.

These attacks were brought on so suddenly, that even the Iron Dome was caught off guard. Now that Israel has responded to these vicious attacks, people claim they are murdering Palestinians, and going on an unwarranted attack themselves. They ignore the deaths and harm done to Israel because it fits their narrative of Palestine being the victim.

Ignoring the deaths of Jewish people and flipping the script that those who committed those murders were the innocent victims are by definition: Nazis.

I really hope that you take a moment to understand how insane it is to be closed-minded and then tell others to educate themselves. It really shows that you yourself haven't probably been widely educated, and are probably just on the bandwagon of support because it's trending. So please, oh brave anon, educate yourself, and as I stated in my last post, fuck you.

To anyone coming on my blog to spread hate against Jews, please know that I will not stand for it. I have so many people I know who are direct victims of antisemitic hate crimes, and it is sickening. I have seen literal evidence of Nazis still being in existence, and using different political issues to hide behind so that they don't get persecuted for it. My friend was held down in a parking lot last year and had a swastika carved into his shoulder by a group of men who had the symbol also painted onto their truck. This shit is REAL. there are still people who want to harm and murder Jews simply because they exist. Palestine, though given the right to peacefully coexist with Israelites for decades, has risen up a terrorist group to fight their battles.

In response with Anon's statement of 'Israel has been occupying palestine' I'd like everyone to remember that the very earliest historical records (excluding the bible/torah, because many deem it as a faulty source) show that the land was called Israel, and Palestine did not even exist. If you'd like to make the argument that anyone was forced out of their land, why don't you do a little research on the Israelites and the Ottoman Empire. I am a learned bitch, and I did my homework. I suggest everyone else do theirs before they make their opinions that can be easily swayed by media.
