Remember Hak now has that medallion & when he explains Soo-Won how Yona vanished after dropping her blood on it what if Soo-Won tries to do the same to check whether it works for him?? or just by touching that he suddenly feels something inside and the path is unveiled to enter that realm. I mean only Soo-Won has left who's closely tied with this supernatural stuff, and he should also be there to deal with the gods as someone who strongly hates them but tied to them. And Hak has no relation with the gods but this way he might also be able to enrer so.....

Hak is desperate, looking for anything or anyone to help him, and in grasping for SooWon he finds something familiar. he finds a presence to ground him. he finds the only person who could come close to feeling the terror he does at Yona’s disappearance.

with Hak’s newfound family gone he turns to the remaining person of his old family. regardless of the history that’s between them what matters now is that he and SooWon work together to save their loved ones. their history is inconsequential in the face of the current circumstances.

here, SooWon finally comes to accept the fact that he can’t let Hak or Yona go. that’s a sacrifice he cannot make. his health is deteriorating quickly and he can barely stand on his own, yet still he rushes in to save Hak and Yona.

Hak grabs SooWon to stable himself mentally, but also in doing so, provides SooWon physical stability.
