I bring you.... more Yoh doodles. And a random guy i doodled who my friend said looks like Dean Winchester, soooo. I guess that's him now.

I finally got to finish up the watercolor painting I had planned for the runners-up for my cat event!

Considering Yoh Asakura, Tamao Tamamura and Shintaro Midorima were all tied for 2nd place, I had to come up with designs. I decided to re-use frog Midorima, and chose a fox and a cat for Tamao and Yoh respectively. I tried to copy Takei's style so the Matamune reference would be extra strong (the Osorezan Revoir arc is iconic).

So I came up with the following scenario:

Midorima made a wrong landing whilst hopping on the wet mud. His tiny little body slided a few centimeters further, and his glasses flew in the air. As I already mentioned in my post comparing Midorima and Lyserg, Midorima without glasses is like Marco without glasses. However, today was a lucky day for Cancers as Tamao the friendly pink fox brings him his glasses and the kind brown cat Yoh nudges him straight up. (after posting this, I realized I forgot to re-draw the line at Yoh's right ear because the watercolour made it too vague which I had planned to do before posting. Oops-)

Shaman King: “Meet my Queen/ King” (Hao Asakura X Reader Scenario)

The set up

It was the next stages of the shaman king tournament and you had been in Patch village for three days now, since then you had spent your time getting ready for the next rounds by training with your spirit ally and sparring with Hao, Getting ready for anything to come your way and ensure that you became his shaman queen/ King, After a late training session he surprised you with a question.

“Would you do me the honour of meeting my family, seeing as you are soon to be my S/O” He asked you with a kind tone, Different from the tone he uses for his followers, A tone he only spoke to you in.

“Of cores Id love to meet your family” You replied with a smile on your face as you put your (insert medium for your spirit ally) Away.

Hao smiled in approval and folded his arms around your waist whilst kissing the side of your head, You looked up to the source of the great spirit and gave a small smile, You had loved Hao since he rescued you from the bullies of the school you attended for being gifted with the ability to see spirits, You were thankful to him for certain but never did you see that not only would he foster your talents for spirit control, That he would indeed fall for you, The day you heard him utter the words “I love you, Please follow me till the end” you will never forget.

“Someday we will rule the spirit world and on that day those who hurt you will regret that day” Hao spoke with the promise of protecting you as you turned to face him looking into his brown shaded eyes shaking your head.

“As your ally its my job to keep you safe” you responded kissing his cheek.

And with that the night passed into memory as you both enjoyed a night of deep conversation and debating the reflections of the spirit, You were home any place you were with him it could even be a cardboard box and you’d still view it as a castle.

The day of meeting the family

It had been two days since you agreed to meet up with Haos family and that day has come, You dressed in your finest clothing and were walking with him to the meet up point, You knew only what Hao told you about his family, His twin brother Yoh who Hao was pushing to be a stronger shaman, His parents Mikihisa who he injured when he was born and his mother who is a Miko, Other than that you had no knowledge of the inner echelons for his family, You were to say the word nervous as you walked into see what looked like his entire family.

“What is he doing here?” Questioned the head of the Asakura clan whist preparing his shikigarmi , The whole room felt hostile, You could sense the tension Hao did tell you he was more or less viewed as the black sheep, Then why introduce you to them was a question you had on your mind, A question soon to get an answer when Hao shook his head in disappointment.

“I see your stance on me hasn’t changed, rest assure I am not here to fight today, I would like you to meet my future shaman king/ Queen” Hao spoke with a smirk on his face knowing the reaction to come.

“SUCH INSOLENCE, you speak as if you are already the shaman king” Spat out Mikihisa, Hao just brushed this off and gave is hair a flip almost mocking his fathers remark as you looked out at the Asakura clan and finally began to speak.

“Hao will be the shaman king, I will help to make his dream real, Its you that are the insolent one!” you retorted making Hao laughed grinning at his family, They were shocked by your comment, They could tell that you meant every word you spoke and it didn’t come from and indoctrinated minset.

“You see my family, this is unwavering loyalty, and the kind I inspire in those who follow me (Your name) will follow me into the destiny that has been our birthright since we drew breath”

Shaman king Fan fic : A Case of mistaken Identity

This fic has two ends to read to the bottom, This covers a scenario between a Fem- Reader deciding their future list of characters featured below.

Now with that out of the way enjoy the fic

Main scenario: The ribbon of Destiny

You had been friends with Yoh for four months, Ever since you met him on monument hill one fateful night as you were there to attend to the grave of one of your ancestors, It would have been a brief conversation until you said “By the way can you see that samurai” with those words Yoh’s interest was peeked, For the rest of the night Yoh and you talked He explained that he was a shaman and the samurai explained that he was Amidamaru who had became Yoh’s spirit ally when their goals aligned.

You agreed to meet with Yoh on a nightly basis and so you did, It was a month into these evening meet ups that you noticed you were beginning to have feelings for him however you knew about Anna and she knew about you, Anna did not like these meet ups I mean she really didn’t like them as she punished Yoh for meeting up with you like that, Even though he assured her that it wasn’t like that.

Everything came to a head the night after the comet of destiny appeared, Anna caught you confessing your feelings to Manta, The next thing you felt was the sharp sting of a hand across your cheek and the harsh words that were spoken “I forbid you from seeing Yoh ever again, I will let you go with just this but if you show your face here again I will make sure you suffer in your afterlife”

With these harsh words you broke into tears, Nothing could console you and you knew this would be the only outcome for not dampening these feelings, you KNEW that Yoh and Anna were meant to be but stupidly you held up hope that he would reciprocate those feelings, After that you dropped out of the school you all attended and started attending a school in your district, Any spirits you made friends with in your brief moments in Yoh’s life you ignored and for the most part you returned to the world you came from.

Half a month had passed since you had saw Yoh and you were back to your old life, You studied in your free time for your finals and you focused yourself on getting into a good college as you went back to your primary goal of getting a degree in (Insert what you want to do here), It was late as you left cram school and you knew it was your turn to pick up ingredients for the evening meal as you left the store with meat and rice for the dinner you spot a familiar face, It couldn’t be, Yoh ?

Without a moments thought you ran towards the familiar figure “Yoh, are you alright?, Its been awhi” your words were cut short as you dawned on your mistake, The person in front of you did indeed look like your one time crush but he was different, You could not see warmth in his face and as you looked into his face you noticed a deep sadness, Your thoughts trailed on as you had noticed you hadn’t spoke since the hick up you only snapped back when the figure in front of you began to speak.

“Hello miss you seem to have spaced out there, Are you okay?” He enquired as you stepped back from him; you collected your self and did a bow of apology.

“I’m sorry you look a lot like someone I used to know” You managed to speak out, your face turning red as you hid in the folds of your scarf, Something must have amused the familiar stranger as he burst into a mocking laugh, He gripped his sides as he continued to laugh.

“Wow the people in this country really are polite” He remarked whilst regaining his composure, Soon after he stopped laughing he introduced himself as Hao, The future king , this statement you found strange but you put it to the back of your mind as one of his eccentricities.

He asked you to meet him tomorrow night at the same time to which you agreed with caution, You made your way home to which you were scolded for being back late after your apologies and a bath you went to bed with so many questions on your mind.

Throughout the next day you couldn’t focus at school, Were you actually going to meet up with that Hao guy or were you going to go straight home and forget your encounter with him, Every hour that passed you flitted between your going and your not going with one final decision and out of actual curiosity you agreed to meet up with Hao.

Walking thought the darkening streets you found your way back to where just a day ago you met Hao, He waited there for you and offered you a sat by him, After a brief conversation in which you asked him the important questions of why he asked to meet you and what was his intentions he stood up and brushed himself off.

“If you want to know, Walk with me” Hao spoke out whilst walking away from you as you stood to follow and within no time the streets turned into woodland, If you weren’t curious about what he had to offer, This would be the part where you would book it and go home but still your curiosity still had a hold on you.

After walking for what felt like an hour you both came to a clearing that was far from town, Hao stopped walking and turned to face you with an eyebrow raised as he crossed his arms and sat on the floor.

“Before I tell you what I have to say I must find out if I can trust you, What are your intentions with the one called Yoh” He questioned in a tone that you knew if you answered with anything less that the truth would lead to dire consequences.

“I bare Yoh no ill will, I used to have feelings for him but I knew that it was stupid to, we have not spoke since his fiancé told me to back off, I went back to my life and that’s, that” you answered looking Hao dead in the eye, Your heart pounding in fear of what could happen, Its true that he looked like Yoh but you could sense he was a different kind of person, With Yoh you knew he’d never hurt you but with this person you were sure he’d kill you if you put a toe out of line.

“I see, So you have no ties to him at this moment in time” He asked.

“No like I said I have not seen him since Anna scolded me” You replied.

Hao then stood up and paced around looking deep in thought “Usually id kill any outsider that would be threat to my plans, But I find you interesting so ill let you live, Spirit of fire, this girl isn’t to be touched” you wondered what he meant with that, You were about to enquire when before you appeared to be a red demon cloaked in flames offering its hand to Hao.

“Now if you wish to know more, Meet me here tomorrow night If not go back to your life and I assure you we will not meet again” Hao remarked before disappearing from your sight, You found your way back to town and went home to mull things over.

I could not decide on what the reader would decide so to end the argument I will dedicate a page each to 2 sub scenarios 1 in which the reader doesn’t follow Hao and 1 where she does and you can decide which 1 you like the best

Scenario diverge: Plume of white Daisies.

(This scenario covers the reader’s choice in remaining at home and the results of this action)

There was no way you could go with him, Hao may have spared your life but that did not mean you owed him anything, You owed it to yourself to put this whole incident behind you and be content that for a brief time in your life you were a minor character in something important.

The next day at school all who knew you were shocked out of speaking, You walked into class and took your seat as one of your classmates broke the silence.

“why did you cut your hair? (insert name),I thought you were growing it” they asked as you looked at them with a warm smile and replied whilst opening your text book.

“I Just fancied a change of pace”

Years passed and the brief time you spent as part of the shaman world had faded from your mind, You were now an adult and now worked in the field of your dreams and were engaged to your S/O who you met whilst studying for your (insert field) Degree, You no longer lived in your hometown as you had to go where the work was however you returned every summer and winter for a week.

During one of your returns to your hometown you decided to visit the grave of your ancestor, not much had changed since your last visit there other than the fact that the grave looked to be attended to frequently and that Daises had began to grow upon the grave.

As you left the old graveyard, You spot a familiar face in the distance approaching a group of people, You came to recognise the tallest one as your long lost school crush and the other as you presumed right now wife, A little boy clings to the legs of his mother.

With a slight nod to them both you make your way back to your parents home, Petals of daises fill the air as you walk towards the future.

Scenario Diverge: Scent of hibiscus

(this covers the readers choice to follow Hao and the results of this action)

The morning after you were given the ultimatum from Hao, whether to remain in your world or follow him into the dangerous world of shamans and spirit fight, your mind was made up, You would follow Hao and learn what you could of the world he lives in.

It was early morning as you checked downstairs to make sure the house was empty, It was as your parents had left for work, You began packing a bag of the things you thought you would need and you wrote letters to your loved ones explaining that you were okay and that you didn’t want to be found.

When night approached you stood where Hao told you to meet him, you held you packed bag on one shoulder as you paced waiting for him hoping it wasn’t a trick, hoping that you didn’t need to go home and awkwardly say that your letters were a prank.

“Ahh you showed up, Right choice” You heard a familiar voice say as you turned to face Hao.

“Yes I did now show me what’s to be done”

You spoke out before you both disappeared into the night.

Years had started to pass, In that time you had trained under the watch of Hao and had become his Itako, You both travelled from place to place brining spirits (usually by force) to his side, You did go home from time to time al though meet ups with your family usually ended in arguments, Your parents accused Hao of derailing your path to success and that you could have been more than you are right now.

You didn’t care, You never regretted your actions not even when Yoh looked at you with suspicion when he saw you at the tournament nor when Anna accosted you intending to tell you the truth, The shock on her face was priceless when you told her you knew and didn’t care.

one night whilst sitting down for a cup of tea, you and Hao spoke of the past and the night you both met, he joked of your embarrassment before giving you a bouquet of aromatic hibiscus that to your shock had a ruby ring on one stem, that moment he got down on his knee and smirked.

“Well will you be my queen?”

“You need not ask my king”

When Ren dies and the X-LAWS demand a sacrifice from Yoh Asakura to bring his friend back to life, what if they had asked a life for a life? What if Yoh let himself be taken and was tied up beside Ren upon the flowers of the cross and all he did was hold his hand and smile as he closed his eyes; as Ren opened his?

This is such a huge AU potential!! So many ideas that could come from here:

There would be a lot of despair from Ren's end. Because he was stuck in the limbo, not really alive nor really dead, he would see beforehand Yoh's plan and god he would scream and try to get someone, anyone to hear him to NOT let Yoh do that.

When Ren sees Yoh's soul forming next to him, his is disappearing. Ren doesn't have time to say anything. Yoh smiles at him.

Upon waking up he would be angry, really really angry. He would be angry at the X-Laws for doing what they did, he would be angry at Hao for having started this entire shaman hunt, he would be angry at Yoh for having sacrificed literally everything (his dreams, his life) for someone like him and of course he would be angry at himself, that would be where most of the anger would be directed to. Ren would, probably, never forgive himself for letting this happen.

His anger towards the X-Laws would probably have the same scenario as in canon but quite amplified. He wouldn't show how he is truly feeling at the moment, not in front of people he considers his enemies. He would unleash his Sword Mirage attack on the angels while carrying Yoh's body over one shoulder; he wasn't going to let the X-Laws touch Yoh.

Carrying Yoh, however, wouldn't last long. As soon as he was out of the building he would throw Yoh at Ryu while still keeping his face down, hiding his expression from Ryu and Manta. Ren dashes out of the place, there are tears in his eyes but he isn't letting anyone see them and he doesn't want to see the tears in the others' eyes. Bason is the only one that follows him, Bason is the only one that sees Ren's tears.

Ren's grief, at first, is a massive path of destruction. There are trees destroyed everywhere, the ground has holes. By nighttime he is still repeating the same process though by then his tears have dried. He doesn't want to go back to his friends, he doesn't want anyone to look at him with pity but Amidamaru shows up, lets him know there is trouble. Chocolove is dead, Horohoro and the IceMen are injured, Hao's minions keep targeting them and the Golem has gone berserk. This day just doesn't seem to end.

Ren joins the battle against the Golem which has the same outcome as canon. There is a confrontation between Anna and Ren. Probably Ren earns a slap (right hand though). Anna tells him to stop moping, Ren says she won't dictate how he can or can't feel, that he has every right to feel the way he is because "that idiot" left everything for him. Anna tells him that he should then own it up to Yoh's sacrifice, because Yoh left his dreams to Ren.

Back at the inn, Ren sees Yoh's body, properly, for the first time. Yoh looks...peaceful. His soul isn't around and Ren wonders if Yoh just crossed over to the Great Spirit or if he just floating somewhere around the island. Either way...Yoh is gone.

There is, however, another possible outcome. There are other people on the island that can bring Yoh back to life. Faust is also learning that technique. Yoh can live again.

Ren knows that if Yoh is brought back everything will go back to the normal. And that includes the burden the Asakuras have dumped on Yoh's shoulders. Yoh will not know peace until Hao is defeated.

But if Yoh isn't brought back, they either will not defeat Hao and will die trying. Ren knows he doesn't possess the same forgiveness and kindness Yoh had, he certainly cannot defeat Hao with...love. And above everything...

Does Yoh, himself, want to be revived?

BONUS (below cut)

If Yoh is not brought back to life...

Anna travels around the world to make the world a better place, a promise she made to Yoh when inside the Great Spirit. Ren does the same but in his own way. When Anna has to go on very long trips, Hana is left with Ren. Hana is a gremlin and gets on Ren's nerves much like his father did, yet he allows the brat to call him "uncle" and tells him, from time to time, about Yoh. When Men is born, Hana helps Ren and Jeanne look after him.

Hii, I don't see many Shaman King stuff here on the internet but just saw your writing, it's cool. Can you do a scenario where both Yoh and Hao Asakura go in love for the same s/o ? or just anything else with the anime 'cuz it's amazing and deserves more x reader. :D Hopefully with the remake, we'll get to see more of it.

He was tired of seeing him do this. Bottling up his emotions, hiding what he was (probably) truly feeling behind a smile, behind his typical " It will all work out ". Ren knew him, or so he liked to think that he did ... a foolish idea or not it didn't matter right now because this wasn't about him, this was about Yoh ! How could he still smile so carelessly and go around like it was nothing ? Like he hadn't just learned that he was related to that guy and above all that ever since he had been born he had been destined to ... ! It was pissing him off and if someone were to ask why ... Ren probably wouldn't be able to answer without tripping into trouble. That was why as soon as he found an opening, he had grabbed Yoh's hand and had dragged him to an area where they could be alone.

" Let it all out. " it came out more as an order " There is no way that you are alright after learning all about that. So stop hiding your feelings and ... let it all out Yoh. "

( Context: What if Ren was there when Yoh learned about his connection to Hao )

Yohmei was the first to admit that this — whatever the hell this was — had not gone according to plan (whose, since when, how, why...). Yoh felt a cold shiver rampage his spine, a bad omen threatening to tear him from the inside out, and that wasn't counting the pained state he already was in. Even through the bandages and ointments, he felt as though his guts would slither out of the deep cut Hao had opened and seared on his right side if he stopped holding it in place himself. Apparently, having this discussion wasn't meant to happen yet, nor in the inconveniently doorless room the Patch had given his team. Even Kino had shown up to the event, but that didn't help Tamao with her anxiety. Anna perfectly sat past both of the healers, always respectful, always grateful. Yoh was able to feel Mikihisa outside as well, using the very walls as yet another mask.

The same shiver seized his throat. When creatures of nature hide, they instinctively lower their need for oxygen, to be quieter in the face of a predator.

Then, the words came like a rehearsed bedtime story. Years of practice as the head of the Asakura had smoothed over any pores of honesty or emotion of his grandfather's tongue.

He, too, had been training his entire life to appear nonchalant to any and every scenario his family could throw at him. But, this... His facade broke. The pieces tried to stay together, and that's the only reason he was able to stop his face from flashing anything other than an agape mouth.

He couldn't close it until Yohmei was done reciting.

Silence followed. And, like a little good boy, like a lap dog, like a tool performing the task it was molded to — Yoh placed his bloodied hands in front of him and bowed until his forehead touched the red that remained wet.

Next, he stood up, barely wobbling, put his left hand back on his right side, and left the room.

He walked down the steps and out into the street.

He walked.

He walked.

He tripped.

Right there, he felt his free hand being grabbed (would he have been able to get up on his own if things had gone differently? would he have had the desire to?). He let it happen. It was Ren, and he took him to a more secluded area than a surrounded common room. And he spoke out immediately.

It was instinct, again, that took a step forward.

"What are you talking about, Ren?" He smiled. He smiled softly, gently, compassionately, none of what he had just received nothing. Say nothing. This is nothing. This is nothing.

Hey can you doing of one Hao development in interest in one of Yoh friends. She doesn’t look strong or useful but she have a unusual ability that let her understand and communicate with spirit that can’t normally talk like Spirt of Fire and she can have full conversation with them.

Hey, No problem sorry for the late reply as I had to think up character parameters as to not have the reader come across as a Mary-Sue, To this end I have imposed the rule that the reader is a shaman in training and she is training at the Asakura compound, she is to be trained as a shrine maiden by Yoh and Hao’s mother, They can talk to spirits like Spirit of fire but it takes it out of her as shes new to it also I have left it open ended if you want a chosen ending hit me up again Anyway with them parameters here goes nothing and if anything isn’t to your specification drop me an inbox or another ask and I will alter my answer to your liking.

Shaman king: Kindred soul

(Reader, Hao scenario)

You had lived at the Asakura compound most of your life since your family were annexed by the Asakura clan due to the dwindling supporters of your family; it started 100 years ago as a temporary measure but as time your family and the Asakuras began to help each other as family.

One of your family traits as shamans was the innate ability to speak with seirei class spirits, This trait as itself becoming a bygone power as most or your family ether didn’t bother to train the skill or simply lacked the right amount of furyoku to do so< you fell into the latter category as you trained this skill as an understudy to Keiko Asakura, Your skills were improving but it would take time like everything else.

One day you received notification from your tutor that your training would be temporarily be put on hold and you were guided down to the lower levels of the compound with Anna, It was there you were told about the Asakura families dark past, Of Hao Asakura the man who would destroy the world to remake it in his image, As you listened you understood why you were privy to this information as certain aspects of your powers sounded similar to his.

Within no time you were aboard a helicopter to Patch village with Anna and the group in hopes of derailing the fire users plans for this world, During the ride over to Patch village you wondered what kind of spirits could you talk to when you arrived, this was a thought that ended when the helicopter stopped on the ground and you disembarked.

In no time Anna was questioning Hao as to the location of Yoh, An altercation ending in Hao receiving the legendary left handed slap, During this you talked with the spirit of fire who simply shrugged you off with answers that they only communicated with their master, When all was done and you were heading off with Anna and the gang you felt the intense stare, You had done it, Hao’s interest was peeked.

Encounter 2: watchful scarlet gaze

A day had passed since you arrived at Patch village and you were sightseeing with Anna, Since the other day you felt the watchful eye of unknown intent upon you, You walked with Anna as she made plans for Yoh’s next round of training, Within no time you both had separated from each others company.

You tried to regain contact with Anna as you searched though the crowd, That’s when you heard a voice you would soon know to remember, You stopped walking in your tracks and turned round to face him.

“Well, Well you are a perceptive one aren’t you?” Hao mockingly spoke to you as you looked at him preparing to ether run or fight as he put his hand out to talk you down from any action you were about to do.

“Now that’s not very friendly and just when my dear friend talked of your kindness” He retorted as he referred to the crimson spirit by his side, You relaxed your stance albeit not much.

“What do you want from me?” you demanded to know making Hao laugh at you’re your trembling stance whilst he crossed his arms and leaned against the nearby wall.

“Nothing much you just intrigue me, Not many shaman can talk to him, You should feel privileged” Hao mused as he played with a strand of his long hair whilst looking you up and down.

“So what, You want to form a club with me” You sarcastically said to the long haired shaman in front of you, And with a quick response you felt a burn on your cheek as he looked at you with stern eyes.
