I have always written in past tense but have really enjoyed writing in present tense lately?? But I saw a few people talking about how a lot of readers refuse to read fanfics written in present tense and I was curious about how true that was?

youtube for some inexplicable reason keeps suggesting videos to me about whether sonic 3 or mufasa will be the bigger hit at the box office and I'm not gonna watch the videos but also like. I really hope it's sonic-
#my reasons for this are as follows#1) I like the sonic movies#2) I am sick and tired of the live action disney remakes AND their obsession with sequels so to essentially do Both at Once is evil to me#and I need it to fail please ohmygod I cannot take any more of these please someone make it STOP#3) I have a very specific hatred of hyper-realistic cgi lion king remake and now they're doing ANOTHER ONE makes me mad also#also yknow what as an aside I'm gonna yell about lion king 2019 fuck it these are my tags on my blog and i am going to subject people to my#Weirdly Specific Opinions about a movie. anyways I mean again hatred for the life action remake obsession ASIDE like. it just fucking sucks#like for how much they hyped up how Realistic the visuals are and how Lifelike it looks uhhhhhhhh. it looks 'realistic' in the sense that#the models and textures are good and like that's all I can say about it#the actual animation like-#IT'S SO BAD. THE CHARACTERS DONT EVEN EMOTE IN ANY WAY AT ALL. IT LOOKS LIKE A BORING NATURE DOCUMENTARY BUT WORSE BECAUSE AT LEAST REAL#LIFE LIONS DONT JUST STAND THERE BLANKLY#and before you say 'oh but sage real life lions dont smile and have eyebrows and stuff' I KNOWWW#BUT ALSO LIKE. BODY LANGUAGE. COME ON. #tunes#156/silence#metalcore#excellent closer#just an overall excellent album#gonna be obsessed with this one for a bit i think#like they're almost a post hardcore band but they're too heavy to actually be that#like actual hardcore vocals over metalcore riffs#which i mean that's really all metalcore is lol#metal with hardcore elements and all that jazz#but like their frontman is straight up a hardcore vocalist and i fuckin dig it#because i often really like harcore vocals but don't dig the music yknow?#cuz there's something so cathartic about a vocalist who just kinda shrieks at you#but i also like slow heavy breakdowns#anyway i dig the reprised riffs throughout this album#esp that one with the pinch harmonics#that's like some born of osiris shit and I dig it#but it gives the whole album this cohesiveness and this aesthetic that just really feels good#and the fucking atmospheric monologues#yeah i just really like this band lol#Spotify

i drew this a few days ago, thought I'd share it
it was over a fic i wrote about kross(human ver<3)
the inspiration for the fic was "ocean eyes" by billie eilish
the story itself is told from an outside view but overall is in the perspective of cross reliving a painful memory despite it not being blatantly stated(written to believe it focuses on killer's pov), except for a part in the middle which was in the perspective of cross
cross is basically in mourning, as showed from the drawing, which is why he's revisiting these memories, unable to let go
it's not as grand as it seeMs, to be honest i wrote that a year or two ago so i actually might rewrite it

out of boredom/curiosity I read 60 eps of a webtoon. it was not good.
#orlbs#misclb#no interesting power shifts#tbh just felt really unfair and therefore kind of stupid for the li to have all these conditions/motivations and hire the mc for it#and like… not give any clear instructions whatsoever#it was clearly more atmosphere-motivated than character-motivated#and listen I can be compelled by a rancid atmosphere if it’s structurally sound yknow#or at least stupid *on purpose*#also ‘oh I’m starting to like him because he treats me so well’ no he doesn’t. stop lying.#also the author keeps using assault without actually addressing it#like even outside the main relationship#which is already pretty bad#but there isn’t really a difference between how the li treats mc and the MULTIPLE assaults#and then not actually addressing or resolving the emotional impacts#it sucks. it’s really bad actually. I should not have read 60 chapters of it#oh also the webtoon does a really irritating thing#where ALMOST every chapter has 4-6 of the previous chapter’s panels#but not always#so it’s easier to get into the habit of skipping the first few panels and then having to go back on the rare occasions it’s not a repeat#like the exact same panels the exact same dialogue#it’s padding. it’s not efficient. just cut it out tbh

I was on the wikipedia page for phobias just for fun but just discovered theres an actual word for a fear of being touched.. 🥹
#haphephobia.... and they list guts from berserk under pop culture references 😢😢😭😭 thats my guy....#not gonna lie i teared up a bit i didnt realise it 'counted' as an actual phobia#i find it really difficult to talk abt but i have a complicated relationship w touch/physical contact (likely trauma babeyy)#and while i do crave it a lot i also have a very physical reflexive fear response especially if its intentional + i dont expect it#which can sometimes even get triggered just being in proximity to ppl bc like. even the possibility sets me on fucking edge#it would be nice to be as physically affectionate as i naturally want to be without dealing w my fight/flight/freeze but alas#its weird bc there are some random situations where it doesnt get triggered at all but its so unpredictable every time#and varies wildly person to person for seemingly no reason. there r strangers im innately more comfortable with but also friends ive known#for years and will never be comfortable around. i think part of that depends on how strongly the other person communicates and whether-#i feel as if theyre demonstrably able to respect boundaries not just mine but their own too + understand theyre not always fixed#ideally i need to have had this conversation with them so i Know they understand. which is rly difficult i find it so hard to admit#and i have a complicated mental block where i need the other person to naturally bring it up which very very rarely ever happens#idk just an atmosphere of safety yknow. i think its intentional touch that specifically makes me panic bc im usually fine w like-#bustling crowds or even expected social rules like handshakes at interviews. bc its not like they're Trying To Touch Me its just rote idk#hopefully eventually ill reach a place where im able to unpack it and reduce its severity bc man sometimes its fucking heartbreaking to me#bc i do genuinely really like physical contact im an incredibly physical person its my main way of interacting w the world#and the way having to force myself to avoid it meshes w my rsd too augh.... its a clusterfuck#even just having one person im completely comfortable with. maaaaan.#almost makes me miss my ex. at least i was mostly cool around them#god its sucked lately ive been having weird vivid dreams related to it. but whatever its so far down my list of problems to prioritize#and at least i dont get it w my familys dog so i can cuddle her :^) i miss her i cant wait to see her next month :D#anywayyyy thats enough im so tired goodnight every1...#.diaries
