1. Fav Ninja is Nya, i find her character development throughout the shows very good

2. DRAGONS RISING SPOILERS -not really unresolved plot point, dragons rising shed some light onto it but, what happened with Kai when Nya «died» in seabound. It does annoy me still to this day how Jay was the one who got to like say goodbye to Nya. What about Kai. What about her brother who raised her. Who she lived with for like 10 years alone with. They became so close over the years and they mean sm to eachother. Why did kais reaction Get brushed aside. It infuriates me

3.Character with most angst?? And it can’t be Sora?? Damn

The thing is all of them have some heavy angst in their backstory. And they still bring pieces and marks of it with them into adulthood. Im gonna say Lloyd. Obvious answer but i find it hard to rank them because their struggles are so different its hard to pick one character yknow

Okay so I haven't actually caught up on mha in years so I don't know who I would count as the most relevant

But let's just say bakusquad (Baku, Kiri, Kami, Mina, Sero) and dekusquad (Deku, Uraraka, Iida, Todo) in Survive

Which *counting on fingers* is one extra.

But if we count The Others you could say Survive actually has 10 main characters so for the fun of it let's throw in Aizawa as a stand-in for the Professor and round out this group with also 10

I'm gonna go ahead and treat them all as their season 1 selves because, well, no one had their development arcs and half them didn't know each other very well yet in Survive so these kids are starting from square one as well

Which...is a recipe for chaos quite frankly

Bakugou keeps trying to do the opposite of whatever Midoriya thinks they should be doing, Todoroki keeps trying to go off on his own, NEITHER of them strike me as the type to immediately trust their parents so that's a shit show in its own right

In fact I'm gonna be so bold as to accuse them of being the first to die in the obligatory vanilla route

The only person who can keep them all in line gets thrown off a dam in I think part 2 if we follow the Survive timeline so...OOPS

Iida is stressed out bc no one is listening to him but I don't think he'd ever get as bad as Shuuji and I think he would rely on his partner and also his friends

Although...yeah okay yeah I think Ima diagnose Iida with "would have a villain arc in a bad route where something happened to Midoriya or Uraraka"

Uraraka keeps her idiots in line as best as she can. Sero keeps his idiots in line as best as he can. Other than Bakugou and Todoroki I think they'd be successful. I also think most of the kids would readily trust their partners.

Don't ask me to make headcanons about who would have what partner tho I'm not that creative.

Kiri having a Gotsumon and being afraid of them at first because of how they all got attacked by a bunch of Gotsumon at the beginning would be funny tho.

Also speaking of Kiri I think he would have a lot of fun evolution scenes yknow like in the beginning he'd having Crippling Self Doubt™️ and you'd just get to watch him become more and more confident that he can everyone as time goes on. I like Kirishima.

I think Ashido would lowkey be Their Rock (ironically) in the beginning. Like someone who's strong and confident but also agreeable and kind (if a liiiiittle on the dumb side) from the get go.

...I'm just gonna diagnose Kaminari with Minoru. Not to say they're exactly alike or anything but I could see him pretending to be sick just to mess with everyone or charging ahead if the group is hesitant.

I think a Potential Problem with this group is that, well, they're ALL wanna be heroes.

The Survive kids for the most part knew when to cut their losses, but idk if I could say the same about the mha kids. They might take more unnecessary risks and push their limits further than they should.

Oh and in routes where they don't fuckin die I think it would be fun watching Baku and Todo learn to trust their friends and their partners. There is a 100% chance that Bakugou would get real cocky about having the best partner ever. I can just imagine him bragging nonstop about them. What an annoying little guy.

Anyways this is all based off what I remember about these characters from a pretty long time ago so isjskdn sorry if I have offensively mangled anyone's fav's characterization <3

ok ok so my oc doesnt rlly have a name so far <3 kate ? may ? i dont knyaow dude im just chilling .. she lives in america (so that she can hang out with my friend's tma ocs), in her 30s, a motorcyclist and an avatar of the end :3

ok so !! shes living her life as a motorcyclist, a racer, maybe? shes pretty chill:) shes just some guy. i dont know much about her personality pre-avatar, other than that people think shes cool in reality she needs a xanax perscription asap. then she starts having nightmares about people dying !! crashing their motorcycle, being hit by a car, etc !! she sees it from their eyes, too, and its everytime she goes to sleep. she ignores it at first, but then the deaths start actually happening !! which freaks her out. she keeps getting hyper-realistic nightmares, going to work, seeing people die (friends, strangers), so so often. she develops insomnia <3 shes so anxiety ridden and exhausted all the time that she loses her job. nothing she does keeps the nightmares away, and they feel so Real, its just awughhh its hell for her.

she starts isolating herself, only leaving her flat when she absolutely must. she hatesss it. even if she doesnt see the deaths happen irl, she Knows that they happened, bc they always do !! and she knows exactly how the person felt when they did. every day.

she adopts this doomer-esque mindset where shes, like.. one day she sort of 'accepts' that she lives like this now. shes still ridden with anxiety, but shes started coming to peace with it. everyone around her is going to die. shes going to die. her interfering will do nothing, so, clearly, nothing she ever does matters - this includes, like.. her taking care of her body. its going to die one day so whats it matter if she smokes 10 packs a day or starves or is sick and such !! yknow ?? this is why her hair is long in one of the 2 doodles i have of her.. she stops maintaining it n its greasy and tangled and it will never endddd oooo spooky. or something . eugh

also !!! this is my fav part about her, probably. she turns to conspiracy theories to cope with the end. at first shes like "this has to be happening for a reason", so she latches onto any explanation that she gets, no matter how unreasonable it may be !! yknow ?? like its Gotta be an alien or a ghost or the goverment thats haunting her. tbh its possible that she found the magnus archives this way and sent her statement there bc of it ... by the time shes all "nothing i do matters", shes too into the conspiracy theories, and finds comfort in them !! and shes a fakeass idgaf-er . i saw her gazing wistfully across the room at something or someone that was not there!!!!! she probs has a blog or smth where she talks about her nightmares and gets yelled at by people for being insensitive

she probs ends up getting, like, a night-shift job omg fnaf ... ok her new lore is she becomes the new guard in a fnaf location. she dreams about the children dying and solves the case 💥hehe .. anyway she probs works latenight shifts at a gas station or smth. somewhere she wont see a lot of people. i can see her having a new job every 2 weeks... the only place she leaves her flat for other than her job is to the library to get proof for the theories. which is where she meets my friends oc :) youd love him dude hes part of an avatar union

thing one: my fav colour is....hard to explain!!! i love lots of colours and its sooooo hard to choose!!!! although if i'd have to pick my favorite???? uh....yellowish orange! like its golden but not completely yellow nor completely orange. just in between!! you see me use it a lot in drawings bcs i like it :)

thing two: i don't really have any concrete pairings besides johnkat. I've never been interested, except for the few pairings i was more than lukewarm to, so i'd say terezi <3 nepeta, dave <> vriska (i can explain jHKLJDFHLKAJSDHFLJ), and the classics rosemary and meowrails. nothing's really off my list (yknow besides incest/abusive ones) except for davekat and for some reason vriska and gamzee lmao. idk why it hits a bad vibe but it does?? i think it might have something to do with terezi and gamzee's canon (re-canoned? un-canoned?) relationship, but otherwise its just on the no-draw list lol.

thing three: i actually haven't done an OG project in years!! BUT i used to have this comic series that i did in middle school and in high school that i developed a WHOLE world for it.

it was called "Artistica" (original IKR?)

my OC's were inspired by my IRL friends at the time, but I changed up to be original because I didn't want to connect the two directly, realizing it was odd to have "characters" of people. But they were inspired, if just initially look wise, and their personalities are definitely NOT the people they were after anymore.

in order from that first picture: TB (yes her name is literally two letters) and her younger brother Liam, Zake (pronounced Zach), Ben, Jeb, Jakobė (pronounced Jah-kob-e), PB (a hyphenated nickname), and RP (also a hyphenated nickname).

The story went like this: TB and her brother, and her friend group, went to school, had fun adventures, and just lived their lives! I did the whole series traditionally, and it spanned over three notebooks filled with comic strips. Artistica was initially about the funny hijinks I could draw about: TB living in a "modern" world within a magic era, with things like alternate universes, my fav YouTubers at the time, and gender swaps, etc etc, though, as time went on and I grew older, I developed more and more of the story.

TB lives alone with her brother. But wait, you say, isn't she in highschool?? And yes! She is! I didn't develop it until later, but TB's parents died when she was younger, in a car crash. TB's case was a bit bizarre for her world, and so there was incidentally a government program being developed to help kids grow up alternative to the foster system, so essentially she and Liam gained a "Guardian" to watch over them, check up on them, teach TB life skill for when she'd become a legal adult, and remain close by (like literally has an office in her school!) so TB would always have access to her anytime.

So she struggles with balancing her life in school, home, and suddenly, these strange visions and memories pop up in her head...TB lives in a world with magic, but not everyone is magical. TB and Liam aren't supposed to be, but they are, despite their parents being humans. It happens sometimes, but unknown to TB, their parents were developing some theories before they passed...

So as time goes on, her friendgroup starts to crumble.

Ben and Zake are TB's closest friends! Zake near the beginning has a crush on TB, while Ben has a crush on Zake. TB helps Ben get closer to Zake, and eventually, they end up going out over the series! But near the end, Zake has a sudden personality change, and he starts acting unlike himself..

Jen and Jakobė are dating when the series starts, but over time and Jeb begins treating Jakobė badly, he breaks it off with her to let them cool down and learn about themselves. Jeb goes through an arc discovering her kinder side, and Jakobė learns who he is without Jeb. They come back together with an understanding on how to treat their relationship better (and themselves).

PB and RP are each other's best friends! ...except when RP gets a boyfriend. And then PB begins to feel like a third wheel. Their friendship grows tense and they start fighting with everyone and each other, and the tension in the group grows even more.

And TB? Well, TB tries to balance this all. Her friend group is crumbling, her magic is growing more out of control, and caring for a little brother isn't the easiest (even if he is the sweetest little brother she could ever have). Her friends involve her in fights, even once taking a jab at her parents (they know about them, ouch) and start neglecting their friendship with her (except Ben and kinda Zake).

Luckily, though, one good thing happens to her: she meets a new friend outside her friend group. His name is Mike, he's new, and he's very sweet to her! It's a brief break from all her drama.

And then, everything goes wrong.

If you had to rank all the 14 ST characters in the main group from most to least fav what would your ranking look like? (And by main group i mean the characters including murray and erica, and excluding karen, basically everybody involved in the final battle in 3x08)

ok let me preface this by saying that i literally love all of these characters i don't hate any of them okay?? let's go... ascending order for the drama!!

14. murray. no explanation needed. no offense to brett gelman he's phenomenal and i honestly think murray is really funny, but he's more or less just a plot device with some comic relief slapped on top.

13. erica. love her to death! but she's fairly one-dimensional, once again primarily a comic relief character. maybe in s4 she'll get some more depth like the older kids have, but for now she's sort of a default next-to-last :/

12. will... no tea no shade but the kid's barely in the show! i absolutely want good things for him but like. i barely even know him. yknow? he’s only above erica bc he’s gay and she’s a capitalist. also that scene in s1 right before he gets snatched by the demogorgon when he just runs straight to the shed and grabs a goddamn shotgun and loads it fully ready to defend himself... that shit slapped good for him!!

11. this Will be controversial among some and i Know this character is many people's favorite... if you follow me already this is probably not going to surprise you but. nancy. i just think her character is kind of inconsistent, so i have a hard time really clicking with her :/ sometimes i love her and i think she's so cool and funny and hot (that hospital scene in s3... my GOD what a badass!) and other times i would like to fistfight her.

also let me get this out of the way right now: i'm aware that jonathan's character is ALSO super inconsistent!! i know okay??? i know!!!! please nobody judge me for how high rat boy gets on this ranking okay i'm literally making this up as i go along so idk if he's next or if he's like in the top five but i have a disease called Unreasonably Invested In Wildly Speculative Meta-Analysis Of Stranger Things which makes it impossible for me to be normal about jonathan and this is my ranking so i pick the bad taste!!!

10. joyce! i love her bro she's MOM and she tries so fucking hard all the goddamn time and she's so STRONG and kind and adorable... joyce is honestly a very unique and refreshing character ESPECIALLY if you’re considering stranger things within the horror genre which is often defined by these very specific archetypes of mothers and motherhood that i can get into if anyone is interested but like basically. love her <3

9. dustin <3 what an icon... i love him i love how he straight up killed a man and hardly flinched because it was to protect his friends and i love how he and his little girlfriend have a song they sing together and i love how he either has an insanely warped perspective on things due to low self-esteem or he just sometimes flatout lies to gain sympathy either way he’s a BABY and he’s so FUNNY and KIND and even when he’s scared he keeps going... ugh god and i love how even when he doubts his friends’ devotion to him he NEVER ever questions his devotion to them and he never ever considers leaving them behind or not stepping up to help them... he’s so brave!

8. mike is such a fucking BITCH but even more than that he is an ANGEL... literally his range who is doing it like him??? nobody!!!! graffiti’d the bathroom stall at school... hates cops.... what a legend. also i like how fucking goofy and dumb his hair looks in s3. also he’s very soft with his friends and it makes me cry. ALSO he literally stepped off a fucking CLIFF he was ready to DIE FOR DUSTIN and i know all the kids have risked their lives for each other but this wasn’t even a monster yknow this was just... bullies.... threatening his friend..... and mike couldn’t fucking let it happen bro he was ready to just step off the edge to keep dustin safe and it’s SO MUCH... and god the kindness he showed el when they first met!!! he’s a total angel and a total shithead and it’s amazing.

7. lucas my tiny baby hero.... he’s so strong and cool and capable yet at the same time he’s such a COMPLETE dork!!! he very seriously believes his slingshot wrist rocket is a lethal weapon and then he ACTUALLY USES IT AS A LETHAL WEAPON TO SAVE HIMSELF AND HIS FRIENDS!!! he hacks off a giant monster’s freaky tentacle arm thing with an axe to save his friend AND he keeps a bunch of action figures and random dice on his bedside table bro he just thinks they’re neat!!! like... i genuinely love him so much god he cares so much about his friends and he’s so brave and smart and loving... i know he is not tiny anymore but he is my tiny baby hero okay...

6. hopper! big man care for little girl... protect and love kids... dance to dad music... be goofy and hot... have trauma.... admit his faults and attempt to grow from them.... what's not to love?

5. jonathan... look i can’t explain it except that he loves his goddamn baby brother so much and i’m a sucker with extensive headcanons alright!

4. el!!! feral little darling girl!!! i literally cannot articulate the love that floods my heart whenever i see her face or think about her for too long she’s just... so strong but more than that she’s so incredibly KIND!! when she has every reason to be selfish and cruel and yeah at times she does let herself get a little mean but on the whole she’s always so goddamn kind and loving and selfless no matter how afraid she is or how she’s hurting... and i hope that with her powers gone in s4 she’ll maybe learn how to see herself as more than a tool to protect those she loves yknow but that’s off topic skdncmn i just think that el is such an incredible character with such depth!! she can be so grave and mature yet she’s still such an innocent child at the same time, and i think that both the writing and mbb’s acting are handled such that both of these things WORK and feel real and they make el (and her trauma) so believable. i just love her to death.

3. robin, light of my lesbian little life!! unfortunately she's wayyy too much like me to snag the top spot lmao. maybe once we get another season with her she’ll trample the competition but for now my baby is in a solid third place <3 i’ve never seen a lesbian on screen who i felt so accurately represented me and my experiences!! she feels so real and in just one season she’s become one of my favorites on the whole show, and i cannot fucking wait to see what else we learn about her and what development we see from her in s4. 

2. as u may have guessed... max!! i know i said this was my subjective opinion but here i’ll just say it: max is objectively one of the best characters on the show. she’s so strong and funny and quick on her feet while harboring some real pain and insecurity at the same time, and both of these aspects of her character are married perfectly, logically connecting to one another and joining with sadie’s incredible acting to create an amazing character who feels just... so real!! i absolutely adore her and i CONSTANTLY tear up just from thinking about her skdncmn...

How I Would Fix the MCU Movies (in chrono order)

Black Widow is mentioned but there are no spoilers! also this is super long sorry lol

CA:TFA

--More time with the howling commandos- instead of a montage with their battles with sit with them and feel their struggles. we feel not only capt’s grief but everyone on the team when bucky ‘dies’. idk would have loved to see more of a band of bothers bond 

Captain Marvel 

--I saw/read somewhere that her story could have work really well with a similar structure as CA:TFA and i agree. they were so concerned with making carol look powerful that they forgot to give her the fiery/badass personality we were promised. there was too much telling not enough showing 

Iron Man 

--Literally Nothing. Perfect. Great Intro to the series. 

Iron Man 2 

--again really solid movie i wish the villains were a bit more developed by tbh this is my fav iron man movie 

The Incredible Hulk 

--babes i dont even remember this movie its super cool they keep rossi around from it tho. hes literally the only thing the mcu kept from this monstrosity i would keep a similar plot structure but with mark ruffalo and a better script and tbh a better evrything. cannot tell you where to start with this jesus   

Thor 

--would have liked to see of the personality thor has later on in the timeline line- but it is interesting to think maybe he developed his humor and friendliness from his time on earth, idk this movie was kinda dull? i mean everything is dull compared to ragnarok and better compared to the dark world so idk how to fix that- maybe less of chris’s weird screaming- definitely less of chris’s screaming 

The Avengers 

--honestly love this movie-great set up to the team dynamics wouldn’t change anything. i love the nostalgia i get from watching this  

Iron Man 3 

--another movie i dont really remember but? this is the one with the bunny right? i feel like after iron man 1 the quality of tony’s enemies has gone down hill but i could watch rdj do anything so overall good experience 

Thor: The Dark World  

--besties what even happened in this movie like, jane babes what are we doing. loki is as amazing as ever tho. but like ‘oh no lokis dead again whatever are we going to do’ i would simply through the whole thing away- keeping jane going to asgard, loki being dramatic, and the relationships of the asgardian gang we get to see. also the reality stone thats pretty important 

CA:TWA 

--I. Love. This. Movie. my fav in the whole timeline. can you tell im a capt girl? literally the best wow won’t change a thing 

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1

--so! much! fun! i love their family dynamics and tbh i love peter quill (we all did until pratt was a dick but) 

Guardians Vol. 2 

--I wasn’t obsessed with this movie but I cant quite figure out how i would change it- it was visually beautiful and emotionally beautiful but idk something felt off until the very end 

Age of Ultron 

--hot take- i really like this movie. i like how it completely changes the direction of the series and makes the mcu feel so real, like the friend ship seen- i would have like more clint so his character arc in endgame would have been impactful i dont hate the farm family but man i sure dont love them jesus but yea i love the dialogue and the only thing i would really change is clint’s involve meant. also helen cho deserved to have a bigger part in the mcu 

Ant-Man 

--super fun! i feel like this movie is great the way it is- a familiar super hero movie when the series was starting to get pretty dense with the lore wont change anything 

CA:CW 

--i read somewhere this movie was originally going to be steve and sam and the rest of the squad finding bucky and i was robbed. over time the mcu starting telling us how great steve and buckys relationship was instead of showing us. like men can show each other affection marvel that is a thing that happens but tbh i loved this movie- i would change a lot but i still really enjoyed it 

Spiderman: Homecoming 

--its so cute i love it but I miss andrew garfields peter- he felt more like the comics but besties i love this movie and tom i would just change how ton is characterized to be more comic actuate but also maybe not idk 

Doctor Strange

-- tilda swinton owns my heart and sole. but imma be honest i saw this in theaters 3 weeks after a horrid concussion and i remember none of it and thinking about it makes me sick (love head trauma) so imma just leave it how it is

i mean like the thing i think about the most is how exactly they deal with, like, everything that Happened between them. like its benreys fault he got his arm cut off, man. even if (theoretically, in my personal headcanon) benrey doesnt exactly Grasp a lot of the shit he did that pissed gordon off (like ok taking the whole “what happened to your arm???” thing at face value, instead of as the (obvious) joke that it is? it makes me feel like he didnt understand the consequences of his actions as much as.....like.....somebody who Gets human shit would), they still gotta like talk about that shit eventually if they wanna get to know each other as anything more than enemies, or frenemies, or “dudes with a fragile detente in place who sometimes play video games and fuck”

and like.....i feel like the way benrey doesnt Get things isnt necessarily, like, entirely in good faith either......if that makes sense.....he seems like he deliberately doesnt Get things, and he can be kind of malicious about what he decides to wrap his head around and what he doesnt. like, hes deliberately obtuse, bu then sometimes hes actually obtuse, and i think that can be difficult to deal with as like......a real trait, instead of just a “haha funny improv character” trait.

his method of just completely dropping a topic if he doesnt know how to riff off it/make it funny (as an improv thing) is also something that is not super conducive to building a Real Relationship if you go full “death of the author” and interpret it as, just, not giving a shit about topics that dont interest him/are emotionally difficult

and gordon is like. Neurotic. hes anxious, hes depressed, hes got PTSD, hes graying at 27, etc. (okay like 2 of those things are just headcanons but whatever, they fit.) he probably isnt coping well with jack shit after black mesa! whats it in conclusion about this movie? first, the plot: hilarious biznasty worthy a+ bs especially how its turned yknow, the clichés were turned upside down n if not theyre just turned into a big satire of themselves editing + music ? yknow its actually good, and funky asf im digging it, a travel in time nostalgia of times i lived acting is pretty neat its not an ironically good movie cause its hilariously ridiculous in the making way its all about the plot here, plot twists and characters, the whole universe ig like its superior to big mamma sorta plot or maybe im dropping this comparison cause its been a while since i saw big maam, for sure twas under estimated while over brought when this here? it got freshness packed in

twitchy mass effect squad thoughts: 2

Kasumi Goto: It’s hard to get a read on her, but she’s a ton of fun; I genuinely like her a fair amount, and she definitely sticks out of the cast. Not the least because as she admits in the third game, she’s out of place in a squad of commandos. I can honestly see her as a support member, in all honesty.

Grunt: This giant super soldier is Shepard’s son. She has a family, it’s Garrus and her adopted krogan son. Grunt is fascinating to me for his very understated character arc of going from a bloody-minded berserker, to... well, a berserker, but one who wants a REASON to fight, a purpose to live for. Being born in a tank and educated in visions, he has no real attachment to anything and he feels lost; Shepard gives him a purpose and its really good watching him grow.

Thane Krios: I just, I love this guy so much. He gives me big Nightcrawler vibes; A religiously devout and sincerely compassionate man. Him being an assassin doesn’t take it away for me, as the hanar don’t seem particularly cruel about employing him. (The hanar are chill.) HE’s genuinely got some of the most badass moments in the game, for how understated they are, and he evokes some of the biggest teary moments for me; dying from sickness, working to make the universe brighter in his last days. he was my first romance in mass effect, and I’m still brough to emotional compromise by the letter he wrote to Shepard as a last testimony. “I will wait for you by the sea.”

Jack: remember when I said ‘most of the humans in this game are kinda boring’? Jack is one of the big, BIG exceptions to that, though I have a hard time befriending her because I can’t be mean in this game. She’s a loud, rough, tough and fundamentally broken woman who is the biggest example of how horrifically evil Cerberus really is, having been kidnapped as a baby and experimented on her entire life; her turnaround into a protective teacher and reformed figure in 3 is genuinely an amazing change for her, given her life of violence.

Miranda Lawson: I will be straight forward; for the most part, I really DON’T like Miranda, and I don’t care for how popular she is in the fandom. She is the 2nd in command of Cerberus, and endorses it wholeheartedly for most of the 2nd game, and this makes her a human supremacist by default, so I automatically have a great loathing of that. Her constant excuses for the worst of Cerberus’ horrors is grating, though I like her more in the 3rd game, when she becomes a lot more responsible and less ‘humanity first’. (I also think her fanservice-y ness is really weird and at odds with her character, though i attribute it to Cerberus having weird uniforms.)

Legion: MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRE SERIES, AND I AM NOT KIDDING AT ALL. Legion is absolutely the entire reason I got into this series at all; I am not even kidding. I prefer to call this robot buddy ‘they’, since they are literally a plurality of many small minds in unison; I’m not very happy with the 3rd game treating Legion becoming an individuality as personhood because they were already a person; different does not mean lesser, yknow. I love Legion for being one of the most moral and ethical people, in their own strange way, and reading between the lines, it paints the image of someone who greatly regrets the deaths of the war with the geth’s makers, while at the same time resenting the quarians a lot for what they did. I totally interpret Legion as an abused child at the hands of the quarians, hating their makers but at the same time longing to understand WHAT they did to make their creators stop loving them.

Zaeed Masani: He’s entertaining, for sure, though his moral ambiguity makes him... questionable, to say the least! His thoughts on revenge, hate and retribution really do speak to me, but he’s not in my list of favs. It says a lot that him being against torture is honestly surprising.

Samara: why isn’t SHE the fanservice icon of the series. But seriously, I love Samara lot; if I had a proper list of favorite characters in the series, she’d be at the top five, most likely. She’s a paladin-archetype, absolutely devoted to her code of honor while being willing to look beyond the letter, and willing to do what must be done; her story is deeply tragic, and she’s one of my favorite characters. Also, she’s an actual MILF; im surprised she’s not more popular.

Morinth: I’ve never actually played with her, because you have to murder Samara to get her, and FUCK THAT. But I do have some opinions on her as a character, and these are them: she’s a terrible person, and her reasons for being a mass murderer are insufficient. Let’s not beat around the bush here; she’s a sadistic serial killer, a sexual predator. and she relishes in the kill. Yeah, she’s like that because she is an ardat-yakshi, but its one thing for her to flee the monatstaries; its another for her to have such an astronmically high body count. she didn’t NEED to kill anyone, she just wanted to do it to make herself feel good, and I insist she absolutely deserved getting her head squashed like a melon.

Mordin: Mordin reminds me of me; I am not even kidding at all, I genuinely talk like he does. (I have the speed and lack of focus of Mordin, and the detached, straightforward speaking fashion of Rogal Dorn from Text To Speech.) He’s a really interesting look into the salarians, and similar to Wrex and Garrus, he’s largely critical of their broader practices. He’s also notable in having participated in updating the genophage, keeping the krogan trapped in their slow rot, and his character development from someone who fully endorses it, to someone willing to die to atone for his sins, is a really striking thing. His loyalty mission is deeply affecting, with the quiet moment in the hospital and the corpses of dead women who let themselves be experimented on just for the hope of curing what he did to them, fanatical krogan driven to madness by despair... because of what he allowed to keep happening. Mordin’s soft words hinting at his remorse and doubt genuinely get me teary eyed.

Jacob: I’m one of the few people to have actually said this, I think... but I actually LIKE Jacob. Specifically, I like him for a lot of reasons that other people don’t; he’s straightforward, honest, doesn’t let his feelings get in the way of his duties, stays on track and does his job. I like him more than Miranda as it’s made clear that he is NOT a supporter of it’s motives, and is largely making use of its resources to do things with expedience, and seems to be working as an internal affairs, chipping away at its corruption. (He loses points for being mean to Legion and Thane, though.)

An anti-Infinity War Post

Because I wasn’t kidding and I’m tired of people assuming I’m upset because My Fav™ died.

Do not continue to read if you don’t want the movie spoiled. I have literally over 6 varieties worth of tags so people blacklisting don’t have to see this. Don’t come at me if you read this and get spoiled.

The running time alone is outrageous considering the things we were all waiting for took place in the last 30 minutes

Wakanda was essentially a prop. There was no essence of Wakanda. Okoye and M’Baku were both OOC, with this ‘edgy realist’ attitude that they were all going to die in the end... but for glory!!!!

Okoye, a woman who nearly murdered her husband for the sake of Wakanda’s survival and thriving is suddenly in battle.. for glory and honorable death!!!

T’Challa had far too little amount of screentime considering he is King of Wakanda. He was there just to fistbump Steve Rogers and do the ‘Wakanda Forever’ bit. 

Vision served entirely no purpose throughout the film. He was literally a placeholder for the stone, a means to have a dramatic and drawn out ending when Wanda should’ve removed the stone hours before Thanos showed up (and sorry - no emotional depth in that dragged out death scene. My entire row at the theater was screaming JUST KILL HIM ALREADY!!!!)

Which of course brings in the odd rationale for sentimentality in this film considering half of the planet is about to die. But whatev. 

Starlord getting in the way of them removing the glove was quite simply - MACHISMO BULL SHIT. Again, weird rationale for sentimentality that you literally end half the planets chance of survival for the sake of your own masculinity. It was funny with Thor, not when he was playing with people’s lives. DUMB.

Bucky’s lack of screen time (I would estimate as a minute and a half total tops (Literally have no idea why Sebastian was even on the press tour))

Whether it was purposeful or not, he looked not a lick happy to be joining a fight (let him be with his goats, dammit!!) and kind of went along with my worries that the Avengers are another form of Hydra when it comes to how they treat Bucky. 

Like, really Russo Bros.? Marvel spends 3 films establishing a relationship and they literally spoke one time in a 2 and half hour feature film??? And no, I don’t want their piss-ass excuse they gave about ‘well yknow it’s to be assumed they’ve seen each other between civil war and blablabalbaalaldafsdf’ 

Bucky died confused and alone

The mistreatment of Gamora is appalling and quite frankly offensive and harmful - especially considering she had the only interesting character/plot development out of anyone in the film. I am now completely hellbent on her getting her own movie. 

She is led to her death by a Nazi (not sure why Red Skull out of all characters was revived but OH WELL)

For 2 films we learn how her and her sister are victims of horrific abuse, Gamora’s own family decimated in minutes. Infinity War validates Thanos’s abuse with love being the reason

Thanos must kill someone he loves to get the stone. He kills Gamora. As an audience, we are told to believe he loves Gamora.

Gamora who was abused her entire fucking life

Her last living interaction is with her abuser

Who tells her he’s always loved her

Throws her to her death

And gets rewarded afterward. 

Thor being given a new eye under the assumption that he - a GOD - is somehow less capable with only one eye is ableist. Not to mention that is having a laugh with Norse Mythology 101.

What the fuck happened to Bruce Banner???!!!

He was a straight damsel-y moron the entire movie? Certainly not a scientist with like, half a dozen PhD’s??? I was waiting for them to portray him as drooling while clapping his hands offbeat. He also contributed nothing to the film overall.

The Clickbaiting of Movie Deaths

I have not seen a single viewer legitimately worried that any of the characters who disintegrated are, in fact, permanently dead.

Which goes to show this film is a prime example of lazy writers who believe that killing characters off = tactical shock value. It does not. It’s manipulative, uncreative, and it’s a blatant way to show how little you think of your audience’s intelligence. If there is no way for you to create a shocking cliffhanger to ensure your ticket sales for Part 2 than to kill off as many as beloved characters in as little time as possible - perhaps go back to the drawing board. 

To make matters worse, while everyone disintegrated in about half a second, of course Peter Parker got the long and slowly progressive disintegration so that we could cry even harder at his “I don’t wanna go!” sobs and the inevitable trauma for Tony. More manipulation. More laziness.

I didn’t cry.

‘cause It ain’t that deep.

But this movie (and Marvel in general tbh) really enjoys having no limits to powers/effects except for of course when they decide to alter powers/effects to get a reaction or convenient result.

Example: Thanos whooping the Hulk’s ass without breaking a sweat. 

But Steve Rogers can catch his fist. Ok.

Nearly as much as Mina does haha Kaminari’s Tai’s fave “uncle”, actually, since just like Bakugou because of his electricity Kami barely feels the heat so Tai never accidentally hurt him even back when he still couldn’t control himself at all! I don’t mind one bit so go for it, but I can’t promise the stuff will actually be part of the quirk in the end - I already got ideas for it, but it’s not important since I don’t know if I’ll ever draw them older, and right now both she and the quirk aren’t developed enough for her to do more than what I mentioned!

okay SO. i just finished catching up on season 2 of lucifer and hilARY. HILARY I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS OKAY?? AND SINCE UR THE RESIDENT LUCIFER TRASH ON MY DASH, I AM COMING TO YOU. alright. dude. so. initially in season 1, i actually didn't really like deckerstar because it felt like so rushed to me? its like they knew each other instantly and i like watching a friendship develop from something to nothign yknow. bUT. BUT THEN SEASON 2 HAPPENED OKAY. LET ME TELL YOU. its like at a point (1/?)

where iduno everything kinda pieced together for me narratively. and like their relationship finally seemed believable to me. and WOOP DE DOO THERE THEY ARE. TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER. BUT THINGS GET IN THE WAY. AND NOW LUCIFER IS GONE AND I KNOW WHY THE WRITERS ARE DOING THIS BUT ALSO I HATE IT BECAUSE FUCK MAN. the writers are treating her like a multidimensional character. especially considering she's a POC. like as a POC myself that makes me soo hopeful?? because its not all about how she's this "sexy demon". but she's been written as human too! she has a sense of self and a life outside Lucifer finally and thAT SEEN WITH TRIXIE. LIKE FUCK YES. however. HOW. EVER. i think at the moment my all time fav right now. like my beautiful cinnamon roll is linda. WONDERFUL THERAPIST LINDA. WHO IS NOW IN (5?)

okay I have been pretty much totally offline for the last few days, so I am just getting home and catching up now aND YES

Honestly, one of the things I loved the best about Deckerstar in season 1 is that they seemed to have always known each other, despite snark and sass and Chloe trying to get rid of him. They just clicked, they fit into each other’s lives perfectly because (soulmates destined by god holla) and made each other better, even if they didn’t understand how and neither of them were ready for things to turn romantic. But I absolutely feel you on season 2 being the season where things just started to fall into place and click on a deeper and richer and more satisfying level. That was where the surface appearances/apparent cliches of s1 got deconstructed and explored and broadened, and you just sit there like oOOOOHHHHH I GET IT NOW. BRAVO. BRAVO SIRS AND MA’AMS MAY I HAVE SOME MORE.

Because as you point out, the character development all around is phenomenal. Maze gets an entire arc/motives/feelings/life/friends of her own. Linda goes from essentially comic relief to the wisest and in some ways, bravest character on the show (and everyone’s mom friend). Dan and Lucifer of all people have a brotp. Mama Charlotte is cray cray and a wrecking ball, but we still kinda want her to figure things out and be a real mother to her scared idiot (but so so pretty) sons. We want to bang Chloe and Lucifer’s heads together (especially Lucifer’s) and get them to figure out the depths of their feelings for each other and to YOUR FATHER DAMMIT LUCIFER, MAKE GOOD CHOICES. COME ON JUST TRYYYYY. I LOVE YOU BUT WHYYYYYY.

(I am also weeeeeeeakkkkkk for the fallen angel brothers and my need to see them having each other’s backs and Amenadiel being there for Lucifer and maybe Lucifer could try being there for him, this entire relationship hurts my soul a lot. A LOT.)
