Low downforce isn't necessarily a bad thing! Teams are constantly adjusting their levels based on tracks (ex. McLaren last year during Las Vegas), but Williams does seem car more suited for low downforce tracks. The thing I find kinda interesting, is that in theory a low downforce setup would actually be better for Alex who prefers oversteer--- which also means that Max could probably do very well in that Williams if they shave off the extra weights that's quite literally weighing them down. Carlos is almost notorious throughout the Ferrari fans for liking understeer better than oversteer (because Charles is wildly known as preferring a car on the nose, or more oversteer like Max and Alex). This kinda makes you wonder what that will entail for Carlos' run in William's! So to me, Carlos and Alex will be essentially like Carlos and Charles where they both prefer different things which could end up being a slight issue for Williams. I'm also pretty sure that the Williams past few cars have been oversteery, which brings me to Logan!

On Logan's end, I honesty don't know what he prefers? I've watched Prema videos of him explicitly answering it as he prefers oversteer in general ( he also said he'd rather have understeer during an actual race, but turns back on that statement later saying he prefers over). I get confused though, when some people are saying that he looks like he prefers understeering now though! So, Logan's situation is a bit funky to me. In the Prema video though, Oscar basically says that Logan likes to "send the car" which to me, sounds like he would perform well in a oversteery/low downforce car? Keep in mind, that this is from F3 and around 4 years ago, so Logan's preferences could definitely have changed by now.

I honestly don't really know which teams are more low/high downforce prone, but I do know the extremes of the two which are Williams (low) and Aston Martin (high). Just in Silverstone, Aston Martin had the highest downforce configuration out of all the teams! Which is wild compared to the other lead contender's (Ferrari, McLaren, Red bull, Mercedes) who chose to go more neutral to even low downforce set ups!

So, you mentioned that Carlos prefers an understeer set up, which is kind of the opposite of what Williams has right now? I agree that it's going to be interesting to see what happens if the car is still on the oversteer heavy side, like it seems to be this year. I'm not sure if it's been like this in the past, but that is really interesting to know! I think with Logan's situation it is really tricky, but I believe someone mentioned that he goes over how the car feels and the data a lot, so maybe he's slowly been finding his balance? I can't imagine that it's been very easy to do so in the Williams, but if we look at his progress this year, I feel like he's been getting there. Like I said before, if they had a better car to figure out which why they prefeed, I think it would be a good view of their skills and abilities as drivers. Alex has his set up figured out it feels like, and the good thing is that the Williams car is really suited for him, being low downforce and somewhat oversteer. if we also take into account that Max like the car oversteer, I feel like that means Alex was doing a lot better at Red Bull than people think. Again, I despise the teams, love the drivers, yk?

Also, the fact that Willaims and Aston Martin are the polar extremes makes a lot of sense! I know people joke about cars being tractors or lawnmowers, but Williams really feels like an actual tractor sometimes. And I want to say that the reason Logan has been kind of switching about is maybe he is as close as we can get to a true neutral preference when it comes to over vs. under steer? I know that F1 cars are extremely customizable, for example Michael Schumacher's configuration was nearly painful for anyone else to drive because it was so tailored. I think Logan is a bit of an odd one out in that aspect, he prefers possibly a very neutral or as close to basic set up? I believe the only difference is that maybe his set up is more left handed leaning in the car? I heard something along those lines.

Souheki In Dazai’s Entrance Exam

plz don't take this post too seriously.It's not some proper analysis, mostly just my thoughts about the interactions.A little bias because I hc they actually are very close.maybe i'll make a post about why I think so in the future.

“So, newbie. Uh…Dazai, was it? Where did you work prior to coming here?” “Hmm?” Ranpo’s expression has faded, his eyes peering into Dazai’s as if he is searching for something. “I didn’t really do anything after finishing school.Was just kinda around, you know?” A few seconds go by as Ranpo silently stares at Dazai.Finally… “Oh, that’s nice. Anyway, welcome to the agency.” And that’s it. He begins laying out the documents across the desk as if nothing happened. What was that just now?

So since LN1 is in Kunikida's pov.Notice how in this scene not only Ranpo is staring at Dazai,Dazai was ALSO looking back.IT WAS MUTUAL.They were both silently observing each other.i assume Dazai’s back was face Kunikida so that’s why we can’t see his expressions.

ok this part is just my pure delusion but i imagine Dazai was wearing his usual plastic smile(yk he still not used to interact with others )when answering Ranpo,but as time passed by,it has faded just like Ranpo’s.Then they just have some of the most intense staring contest.Imagine the tension in the room lol,no wonder Kunikida was so confused.I also believe Ranpo's response is some kind of his way to implicitly promise Dazai he won't expose him and wish him good luck on starting a new path. 

i think dazai was confident that no one will find out his past since they can’t use ability on him,and in those few seconds he realized Ranpo just figured it out(tbh maybe even more than that considered Ranpo have met oda the day he died and ada collaborate with special division sometimes he may have met Ango),thus he started to question if that’s actually his ability.

“Dazai, what was that about?” “Don’t ask me… By the way, what kind of skill user is Ranpo?”

It's hilarious Dazai asked Kunikida what Ranpo’s ability is when the man himself is just right in front of him. 

“That’s what makes it so amazing! Listen to this. When Ranpo was thinking, I sneaked up behind him and pinched some of his hair.”

Dazai openly doubted if an ability like it would exist before Ranpo started deducing.So Ranpo may have been cautious and noticed Dazai was sneaking behind and testing it.But weirdly he didn’t seem to mind if Dazai would tell the others(yes i believe he had already knew he doesn't have one even before LN1)like that’s not one of his biggest secret.

Even if he didn't notice at that time,he surely would when he noticed Kunikida’s curious gaze next time they met.But he never said anything for yrs.Maybe he was just rather let others know than confronts it with Dazai.He didn't directly admit to Yosano in guild arc either.

Ranpo who never tells others Dazai’s past VS Dazai who shamelessly continually tells ada members Ranpo is abilityless will never not be funny to me.

But seriously Ranpo is so sweet he trust and respect Dazai from the very start, even knows his background he still completely accepted him, willing to give him a chance to be with the good side.i love souheki.

ok so you know the 3 categories i'm assuming? idk what your school is like but if you need more guidance on the ee in general, go to philpot's step by step guide

when you're told to pick something that interests you, DO THAT. you will spend MONTHS on this topic, researching and writing for hours upon hours, so you HAVE to be invested. even if you love love a topic, you might still struggle for a variety of reasons (my tips on this later on). regardless, you are on tumblr engaging in fandom and media for a reason. WHAT is that reason? what compels you? what themes, character dynamics, settings, motifs compel you? what shows, what books, what films? what about in lang and lit class? do you like ad analysis and the societal implications? do you prefer minute details that make a movie just so so good (e.g. lighting)? did you watch the dead poets society and you've been reading poetry aloud ever since?

the ib requires you to write about an "acclaimed" literary or non literary work, which gives you a LOT of choice. you could write about doctor who, for example.

i'll explain my process when i was picking my topic.

i have always liked greek mythology (like a LOT) and my favourite figure is akhilles. i decided i wanted to do something exploring his relationship with patroklos, but alas! i could not look at the iliad as it was not written in english originally, which didn't fit into either cat 1 or cat 2. so... why not the song of achilles? it's well known and acclaimed, plus would be more fitting for a dp level of literary analysis. but how to explore the characters? well... what else was i interested in?

what makes a character a hero?

this was the central question. i ended up changing the specifics of my question a million times which... don't do that. eventually, my question was (more or less), "how does miller conform to and subvert the characteristics of a hero through characterisation?" (that was not the question. i promise that the actual question was a million times better).

NOW. my extra note.

before you start researching and outlining, here is something i recommend you do before starting, based on my own issues. now, i did get a predicted (knock on wood) A, but after way too much deliberation.

make a list of your strengths and of your weaknesses. consider literary analysis vs diegetic and non diegetic sound analysis (idk if that's even what it's called but yk). consider time management skills. consider outlining skills. consider research skills. what do *you* need in terms of help and support from your supervisor? what do you need to do to help yourself? for example, i should have forced myself to pick a question from the start, before even starting research. this is an issue i have in other subjects too, and caused me a lot of grief for my history ia. i also asked my ee supervisor to help me come up with a realistic, step-by-step schedule bc i struggle assigning myself deadlines.

for the second part of your ask, structure is going to be super dependent based on your topic and category. i recommend reading examples similar to your topic (don't waste time reading ad analysis if you're doing poetry aha). i did mine with bg info on the classical view of heroes, then each bp was a different aspect (first conformity, then subversion). i have a friend who wrote hers on a feminist film and her bg was about feminist theory, with mentions of that time period, which then informed her fairly standard-structure analysis.

hello lovely, this is re: sex witch stuff. do you have any advice for figuring out whether what's up with you is an a-spec thing or a depression thing?

context being: I've suspected I'm somewhere on the asexuality spectrum because I don't usually get *attracted* attracted to people unless I've gotten to know them somewhat. but at the same time, I've been depressed since I was a young teen and in the past few years, my libido has definitely gone down and I usually only get horny around my period. part of it is probably the meds and the fact that I'm Exhausted all the time (being in uni and having to be an adult doesn't help lol). I'm 23 and still a virgin, but I do get the sense that I would enjoy casual sex or an FWB situation. the other thing is - I do enjoy my own company, and I know I'm probably not in the best place to be in a relationship, but at the same time I'm a little lonely and would love to be in that long-term relationship stage of things yk? but I have no great desire to be actively dating (lack of energy also factors into this), and hookups are not a big thing in my culture so sex kind of goes with dating. which is why I still can't figure out whether this is more of an a-spec thing or depression + mild social anxiety thing :/

I'm the last anon about aspec vs depression thing. forgot if I mentioned it or not but I'm 23F, bi (I think. I tend to use queer. never actually been on a date with a girl before) and cis so there isn't any major gender or sexuality issues complicating things. I do have some body insecurities which may play into it (was naturally quite slim and then I lost more weight in the past 2 years due to meds which means my boobs are even smaller than before) but overall i think I'm fairly body neutral at this point 🤷‍♀️

I'm going to say something that I worry has the chance to come across as condescending and I want you to know that that's not my intent at all. I'm not trying to downplay your curiosity or exploration of self, or the mental health experiences that you've had. you're the predominant expert on yourself, and you can feel free to disregard all of this.

having said that:

what you're describing doesn't sound like it's solely a depression thing or necessarily an asexual thing at all. it sounds like being a busy 23 year old with a lot on their plate and having more pressing things to focus on than sex, even though sex sounds kind of nice. that's very normal for lots of people whether they're asexual or not, and it's actually great to hear that you're aware that you're not in the best place for a relationship and that you're already comfortable in your own company. it may not be the most fun thing, but being self-aware and able to be happy on your own are both important skills to cultivate.

you definitely could be asexual! I'm not denying that! but just chilling sex-free while you're busy and stressed and tired with uni and other things isn't hard proof, especially when it sounds like sex is something you think would be fun and desired for you if it were a better fit for your life right now.

idk it feels like france is gonna be the final boss of the neo egoist arc, right ??? rin, shidou, loki, karasu, nanase, and zantetsu ???? it feel like they’re setting up foils such as rin vs isagi, shidou vs kunigami or kaiser or both fuck it, loki vs noa- if they decide to play, nanase vs ness, and zantetsu with like idk yukki or something if anything zantetsu’ll be moral support LMFAO i just wanna see zantetsu again fr idc if he’s on the bench 😭

anyways assuming karasu and nanase make the starting line up (we already know rin and shidou did) there could be some really interesting matchups when bastard finally plays against them. especially now that isagi has gone up many levels and kunigami only had a few moments to shine so far in the fc and msc matches and they have to prove wild card program did something right ? and kunigami could get his revenge on shidou for eliminating him in the first place. 

the way kaiser could serve as a rival for rin, shidou, OR loki to be honest LMFAOO he’s bastard’s strongest player and the player closest to sae in terms of skill level so rin could wanna duke it out w him ykwim but no doubt this match is gonna focus on him and isagi, it’s been between them since the second selection and it’s definitely not gonna stop cause of kaiser. and loki is an up and coming player at SEVENTEEN ?? he and kaiser could have an interesting matchup, if they sub him in. and shidou loooovess a strong player so he might wanna challenge kaiser and yk kaiser will throw some wild insults back at him LMAOO plus they’re both unpredictable and have pretty good physical strength i mean

well if all else, kaiser could be locked down by karasu so he could show his improvement since u20 when he was holding defense together

nanase has always been a good support/passer so i could see him running into troubles with ness (assuming nanase even makes the starting line up and ness actually does shit) but i think ness actually WILL contribute this time considering he disappeared the second half of msc vs bm, he needs his own little moment or obstacle. but i also think unless loki TOUGHENED up nanase, he might be too passive for someone as sadistic as ness but i have faith in my fruity little guy

IF ANYTHING... i think nanase and hiori could be an interesting match up. hiori has been studdyinngg bastard, fc, and manshine since the start and there’s no way noa isn’t picking up on that. we need to see what hiori learned and how he improved or maybe they could save hiori’s growth for the italy game since he’s known for getting through tight spaces and italy is stacked on defense fr but we’re assuming france is the final boss and we’ve already played through italy

BUUUTT karasu and yukimiya were teammates before, so having them as rivals now could be interesting, like nanase and hiori. karasu could prove to understand yuki and he’d be another good obstacle for yuki to overcome. and yuki, now that he has his new gyro shot, he could be a harder player for karasu to defend against. 

i could definitely see karasu being all over the place, kinda like chigiri and otoya. also zantetsu, if he’s on the starting line up, can be like karasu’s support as we saw he’s able to attack and defend in the first selection. he would be able to cover the empty spaces that karasu might not be able to cover if he’s busy with kaiser or yukimiya

karasu could play a big role in locking bastard down and holding up defense, we know he can do it as we saw in u20. and maybe similarly to u20, karasu could be supported by nanase and zantetsu like how chigiri and niko were running around and manmarking and reo and hiori were subbed in and able to cover defense more

also it would be a good final match to conclude. everyone would be going against their foil, as mentioned earlier, and someone better than them. 

rin and isagi, it’s obvious what they’ve got going on.

kunigami and shidou need to settle their rivalry, seeing shidou again could trigger something in kunigami

whoever kaiser will matchup with, they’ll have to evolve a shit ton in order to make moves on him like isagi did. unless it’s rin. personally, i think having rin and kaiser AT LEAST MEET is a good way to reveal kaiser knows sae and crushed him in their game together which caused sae to switch positions

but counterpoint could be rin completely has detached himself from sae after u20 and was set on being THE best so it would be a little harder for kaiser to get a rise outta him by just mentioning sae. but idk maybe kaiser revealing he was the one who started the catalyst of rin’s biggest turning point of his life could trigger something, kinda like what happened with rin and leonardo luna

and you know kaiser’s gonna be a piece of shit about it too. rin could score the first goal and kaiser will say “oh well, would you look at that?! so that’s what sae itoshi’s little brother is capable of, hm?”

trying to figure out kaiser’s role now that isagi locked him down is a little difficult. but what’s also difficult to figure out is HOW THE HELL JULIEN LOKI GOT RIN AND SHIDOU TO COOPERATE W EACH OTHER

as kind and polite loki looks, i think the obvious creative choice is for him to be an absolute monster. from what we’ve seen of him so far, he’s got a stern voice and he’s got quite a lot of say between the top five. judging by the way the top five DEGRADED bllk’s top player, they have to have respect for loki.

if france is the last game, i have NO IDEA how kaiser and isagi’s relationship/rivalry could even begin to develop from the ending of msc vs bm LMAOO if italy comes after, i don’t really have any creative ideas other than they try to work together but fr just can’t. and idk maybe they have some magical chemical reaction in this game for the sake of crushing rin or shidou or both again fuck it but who knows

OKAY so the only one this is applicable for really is an AU that I actually haven't posted anything about yet BUT for places I'll start with two words that describe key elements of the place and then remove/add/rearrange letters until it sounds like a decent name. for characters, it depends on whether the name is for Vibes or for Meaning- if it's vibes, then it's just whatever I'm feeling at the time, but if it's Meaning then babynames.com babyyyy

40. best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten MMM YES okay so my IRL friend (who follows me here, hello, yk who you are!) once beta read my writing and pointed out one particular distinction- sensation vs awareness. i had written something abt thoughts hitting a character, but then had gone on to define certain things that were happening to them and they were like yo, slow down. They're not the same. And that has restructured the entire way I write characters experiencing Sensations because it lets me SHOW the readers what is happening BEFORE revealing the character's thought processes. I can say that a character's hands are sticky BEFORE saying that the blood on their hands makes them sick. I can say that their face is numb BEFORE describing how the cold doesn't bother them because of the person beside them. changed my entire outlook (Although, honorable mention to @goldiesflag who has left stellar feedback on my more recent pieces!)

43. how did writing change you? I have grown so much more confident through my writing. Before, I would see the talent of all the artists around me and think "man, I wish I could do that." I'd think about all the different ideas I had about lore and feel sad because I didn't think I had the skill to share them. But then, I found my own niche- i found my writing. I found the talent that I DO have, rather than mourning the one I don't. and now, i look at a stellar painting or beautiful drawing and think, "wow, that's amazing. they're so good at what they do." And now I have an idea about lore and think "Ooh, I can't wait to write this into reality." I don't need to be able to draw or paint beautifully- I can build castles with my words. I can make stained glass out of metaphor. I spill my creativity not onto canvas but onto a screen, and I make beauty not with a paintbrush but with keystrokes. And I've found that this confidence, this knowledge that I am not good at everything but I do not have to be- that's carried over into my every day life. I no longer feel envious while watching other people do what they excel at, because I know that I have my own skills and talents. I have learned that fandom means a space for everyone. That I don't have to be good at any specific skill to thrive in a fandom space- I can do what I love. The world is the same way. I've found confidence in my own ability, and I owe that to my younger self for picking up a pen for the first time

quantum is still growing in fame as a 5th year group. january marks their fifth year n while they have a lot of success n a strong fandom, they’re not considered one of the Greats idt? sung doesn’t expect them to become that, though. polaris ‘made it’ after two years, became some impenetrable force after four, n sung thinks if it was gonna happen, it would have happened in that timeframe. but he’s very happy with the level of fame they have. he feels like they’re Respected. his main goal within their fame is to foster closer relationships with new fans that come along. in a general sense he wants to create that closeness, but he knows he has a habit of thinking of those that have been there from debut before those that have come from other eras/storylines, and he doesn’t want them to feel left out. mostly this means he’ll be putting in more effort to interact with fans in the states

songwriting is probably the biggest professional goal he has, not only in that he wants to write more songs, but he wants to be viewed by dms as a part of their songwriting team. that relies partially on connections yk hanging w the songwriters n making sure he can and is sending his songs to the company. but it also relies on him continuing to push himself to make innovative music. similar things could b said abt choreographing, but songwriting is a specific goal in his mind while choreo is a vague ‘yes i am always wanting to get better’

Usually I don't like characters like max a lot, but it really really speaks to the writer's skill and the guys acting that I actually love him? of course it's pretty simple, it's about as complex as HSR, but without equipment and there's a defend button (so FF brave exvius without equipment)

but I was surprised I was expecting another card game lmaoooo

so far the gameplay is pretty much pressing a singular button (I think it would've benefited from having base attack, skill, and then the burst like in HSR, it'd basically be staple JRPG mechanics) but the game plan might change with the difficulty

I have 2 major complaints which one is the fact that the optimization is atrocious, I can play for about 10-30 minutes before the game starts lagging and then inevitably crashes

my phone could run ZZZ for 2-3 hours before it'd start lagging and only crashed a singular time, and I don't think this game with these graphics should use more power than 3D games like ZZZ, Genshin, Shining Nikki, or Life Makeover

the other complaint is this thing:

now what the hell is this? it's clearly meant to be a fox, from the yiip yiip thing to the name being literally vulpix but not actually

but why does it look like that? that does not look like a fox

if I separate it maybe the anatomy of the body and the ears could pass as a fennec fox, but the rest? that's a cat
