“Spare me, Doctor Buzzkill”
synopsis: While Sylus is away on a business deal, you miraculously get Zayne and Greyson to go on a night out with Tara, except you get very drunk and you miss your boyfriend a lot.
content: sylus x afab!reader; reader is MC; use of Y/N; established relationship; zayne/greyson/tara cameos; excessive drinking; mentions of throwing up; god-awful amount of fluff; mostly proofread
word count: ~2.4k
a/n: the people cast their votes and so here is the fluff fic requested by the masses~~ can you guys tell zayne is my second favorite or no? this is sort of? a continuation of the last fic where zayne and sylus first met (tagged anyone who replied or liked the poll from earlier this week)
You couldn’t believe you’d convinced Zayne to come out with you and your Hunter friends. Tara—who had accompanied you a handful of times to Akso Hospital for your check ups—had been flirting with Doctor Greyson at any opportunity she could. So you both hatched a plan to invite Greyson on a night out and, by some miracle, got Zayne not only to play along but to join you as well. He’d agreed that Greyson would be more comfortable going as long as he had a familiar face there with him.
And so here you all were, at a club many Hunters frequented, having the time of your lives.
Well, you and Tara were.
Zayne and Greyson, not ones for partying, mostly stayed at the bar nursing their (non-alcoholic) drinks. You and Tara managed to get them on the dance floor at one point, and once Tara and Greyson’s attentions were locked on each other, you and Zayne made a swift exit.
“Do you think Greyson will ask Tara out?” you asked Zayne as you ordered another drink. Admittedly you were a bit drunk, but you were having too much fun to quit now.
“I’m not sure,” Zayne replied. “He seems quite fond of her, though.”
You nodded your assent, too busy sipping from a straw to speak aloud.
“How many drinks have you had tonight?” Zayne asked.
“Don’t go all doctor on me right now,” you said. “I’m fine.”
He arched a brow. “I’m not sure your boyfriend will be pleased with me if I bring you home drunk out of your mind.”
You gaped at him. “Drunk out of my mind?” you repeated, incredulous. “That’s a little dramatic, Zayne. And besides, Skye is away on business right now anyway, so you’re safe.”
Talking about Sylus sent a pang of longing through your chest. He’d been away for three days already, handling a rather important business deal involving modified Protocores. He wasn’t supposed to come back for another two days, and you missed him terribly. It was probably why you were pounding drinks, insisting you were fine and not at all drunk. You wished he was here too, to have fun and enjoy the night with you and your friends.
“I feel like him being away means I’m far from safe,” Zayne grumbled. “I am your primary care physician, I’m responsible for making sure you remain healthy.”
You rolled your eyes at your primary care physician. “Spare me, Doctor Buzzkill.” You drained the rest of your drink and slapped the glass onto the bar. “I’m going to dance, you coming?”
Zayne shook his head. “Go on.”
Throwing him a little wave, you rejoined Tara and Greyson on the dance floor.
—
“I’m not drunk!” you yelled, your words blatantly slurred. “I’m not ready to go home yet.”
“Y/N, you can’t walk straight and your eyes are barely open,” Zayne admonished, tugging a stumbling you toward the exit.
Tara and Greyson trailed behind you, their hands grazing with every other step, bright pink blushes staining their cheeks. Too bad you were too drunk to notice the exciting progress they had made, but Tara would be sure to fill you in once you were sober.
“Mmm’not drunk,” you repeated so quietly no one even heard you.
You wished Sylus was here. You missed him so much. You missed his snowy hair, his striking red eyes. The slope of his nose and the curve of his lips. The way those lips felt on yours, on your bare skin.
“Zayne I’m really hot,” you declared.
Zayne turned and placed the back of his cool hand on your forehead. “You feel a little warm but nothing to be concerned with. Would you feel better if I carried you on my back?”
You nodded, your bottom lip sticking out as you pouted.
Zayne smiled softly at the sight before turning again and dropping into a crouch. You clambered onto his back, Greyson and Tara needing to rush forward to steady you when it looked like you were going to fall off. With your arms securely around Zayne’s neck (to the point where you were almost choking him) he straightened with ease.
Greyson looked at Tara. “Were you going to call a taxi because I can drive you home, you know, if you wanted.”
Tara’s face lit up. “Are you sure?” she asked. “You didn’t drink too much?”
Greyson chuckled. “Doctor Zayne and I didn’t actually have any alcohol, I’m perfectly sober.”
“Okay!” Tara agreed excitedly.
Greyson smiled. “My car is at the hospital, but it’s not that far of a walk.”
“I don’t mind,” Tara said. “It’s a nice night out.”
“Zayne,” you whispered in his ear. “Zayne, do you—hic—think Greyson will ask her out tonight?”
Zayne chuckled. “It’s possible.”
“How are we getting home?” you asked.
“Your apartment isn’t far, I’ll take you there then grab a taxi back to my place,” he explained.
“Mmmkay.”
“Looks like we’ll be going our separate ways then,” Greyson declared.
You perked up and began waving excessively. “Goodbye Doctor Greyson! Bye Tara! Call me tomorrow!”
They both laughed at your obvious drunken state and offered their goodbyes before heading off in the opposite direction.
Zayne started the walk to your apartment, adjusting you on his back.
Your thoughts returned to your boyfriend.
“Zayne,” you mumbled. “I miss Sylus.”
His steps faltered. “Who?”
You huffed, not realizing the mistake you made in not using Sylus’s alias. “I said I miss Sylus, you know, my—hic—my boyfriend. I don’t like it when he leaves for his stupid business trips.”
Still slightly confused, Zayne said, “Why don’t you call him?”
“Call him?” you echoed. “Oh! You’re right! I can call him.” You started tapping Zayne’s cheek. “Let me down, let me down.”
Zayne carefully lowered you to your feet, keeping a hand hovering close by in case you started to sway. You pulled out your phone from your pocket, but no matter how many times you pressed the power button, it never turned on.
Tears pooled in your eyes as you stared at the black screen. “It’s dead,” you mumbled. “I’ll never talk to Sylus again!”
Zayne swallowed a laugh. “When we get to your apartment, you can plug your phone in and call him once it’s charged.”
Your tear-filled eyes looked up at Zayne. “Do you promise?”
“I promise.”
—
You threw up once, in a random bush, on your way to your apartment. You almost threw up all over Zayne, whose back you had climbed onto once more, but managed to get him to put you down in time to avoid covering him in vomit.
You walk-stumbled the rest of the way, just in case you had to throw up again.
When you reached your apartment door, it took you three tries to remember the code to unlock it, despite needing only your fingerprint.
The second you walked through the door, another sudden wave of nausea hit you. You bolted for the bathroom, leaving a concerned Zayne in the entryway.
After closing and locking the door, Zayne made his way to the bathroom and found you hunched over the toilet, puking your guts up. He held your hair and rubbed your back as you retched.
“I told you you had too much to drink,” he teased.
“Shut up!” you cried.
You gagged and spit a few more times before collapsing onto the floor. Zayne carefully observed your condition—clammy and pale—and rose to his feet.
“Stay there, I’m going to get you some water,” he said.
You nodded, having zero intention of getting up anytime soon.
Zayne hurried to the kitchen. He had to search through a few cabinets before finding your glasses, then went to the water dispenser in your fridge. As he waited for the glass to fill, he heard a noise from the entryway, like someone was trying to unlock the door.
He moved quickly, depositing the half full glass on the counter and going to the entryway. He didn’t know who had the code to your apartment but he certainly didn’t think you were expecting visitors, especially when your phone had been dead this whole time.
Zayne decided it was best to catch whoever was trying to come in off guard. He grabbed the handle and yanked the door open.
“Doctor Zayne, what a pleasant surprise. Did you help my drunk girlfriend home?”
Skye—no, Sylus? Whatever his name was, stood on the other side of the door, giving Zayne an assessing once over.
Sylus and Zayne—in the little time they had spent together since Sylus became your boyfriend—had gained an unspoken, mutual respect for each other. They both acknowledged the importance of the other in your life, and as long as you were happy and taken care of, that was all that mattered.
So Sylus wasn’t upset that the doctor was currently in your apartment when he was supposed to be away on business. In fact, he was rather relieved that you had someone looking after you while he wasn’t there, especially when you were drunk. But he was here now, and he fully planned on assuming the role of your caretaker.
“Skye, I thought you were on a business trip,” said Zayne, stepping aside for the snowy-haired man. He wasn’t going to ask about the name thing, he honestly didn’t want to know.
Sylus held up his phone, the screen open on a myriad of texts you had drunkenly sent him throughout the night. “How could I not come home early when Y/N was practically begging me to?”
Zayne snorted. “Her phone died by the time we left the club, she was very upset she couldn’t call you.”
Sylus huffed, taking off his shoes. “Poor thing. Where is she—”
“Sy?”
Both men’s heads snapped up to where you stood in the living room, disheveled as all hell. But to Sylus (and Zayne) you were still the most beautiful treasure he’d ever laid his eyes on.
“Hi sweetie,” he drawled. “Miss me?”
You cried out a strangled laugh and ran for him, launching yourself into his waiting arms so hard he nearly fell backward.
“I missed you,” you whispered in his ear, relishing in the way his warmth enveloped you.
“Oh I know, you made that abundantly clear,” he teased.
You drew back, your brow furrowed. “When?”
Sylus raised a brow. “Just how drunk are you?”
“Very,” answered Zayne.
You pouted, craning your neck to look at your doctor. “I feel better now.”
“Because you threw up everything you drank,” said Zayne. He looked at Sylus. “She needs water to rehydrate, but don’t let her chug it. Slow sips only. Have her take some painkillers before bed so she doesn’t end up waking up with as bad of a hangover and don’t let her sleep on her back. If she still isn’t feeling well tomorrow, give me a call and I’ll bring over some medicine. I trust you can take over from here?”
Sylus nodded. “Thank you for taking care of her for me.”
Zayne smiled slightly. “Of course, I’m her primary care physician after all.”
You shoved your face into Sylus’s neck. “He’s Doctor Buzzkill,” you muttered into his skin.
Sylus barked a laugh. “Okay, kitten,” he said, patting your back, “let’s go get you cleaned up, yeah?”
Sylus and Zayne exchanged a curt nod as Sylus finally walked out of the entryway. You waved weakly at your doctor over Sylus’s shoulder as he carried you to the bathroom.
“Don’t forget to charge your phone,” Zayne said by way of goodbye.
“I’m so glad you came home early,” you told Sylus as he sat you on the lip of the sink.
Sylus pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. “‘Sy come home, I miss you.’ ‘I miss you, Sy, when are you coming home?’ ‘It’s not as fun going out without you, Sy.’ And many, many more messages like that, all throughout the night. I don’t think you gave me any other choice, sweetie.”
You grinned, not feeling even the slightest bit guilty for being the reason he cut his trip short. “I really did miss you,” you said, reaching for his hand and twining your fingers. “Though I think I said your real name in front of Zayne.”
Sylus shrugged. “I don’t think it’ll be a big deal, plus we could always blame it on your drunken state.” He frowned as he looked you over. “You really shouldn’t drink that much, kitten.”
“I’m fine,” you insisted. “It’s like Zayne said, I threw it all up.”
Sylus scoffed. “Yeah and your doctor gave me specific orders for me to follow so how about we get you in the shower so I can do that?”
You didn’t move, instead your expression softened as you stared at your boyfriend. “I think you and Zayne could be good friends, if you both gave it a chance.”
Surprise flitted across Sylus’s face. “I don’t need friends, sweetie. I only need you.”
“What about Luke and Kieran?”
“They’re my subordinates.”
“Mephisto?”
“He’s a mechanical bird.”
“Okay, next time we go out, you’re coming with us so we can make you some friends.”
Sylus laughed. “Sure, whatever you say, kitten.”
—
Bonus:
*the next morning*
You squealed into the phone, effectively startling Sylus awake.
“So you’re going on a date?” you asked. You waited for the person on the line to reply, then squealed again. “Tara this is so exciting! Our plan actually worked!”
Sylus stared up at you, wondering if you were even human to have drank so much the night previous yet seemed to have woken up perfectly fine. So fine that you found it appropriate to scream into your phone at whatever unholy hour of the morning it was.
“Okay, so I already have our next mission planned,” you said excitedly. “Operation Make Skye Some Friends.”
Sylus groaned loudly and covered his head with his pillow. He did not want to hear what you had to say next.

Whimsical!reader x Shy!remus 🤭🤭🤭 like the boys always try and get Remus to go out with them and he always tries to say no but James promises that Lily has a friend Remus might get along with and Remus is just so entranced by Whimsical!reader that he starts to come out of his shell and James is all 😏 “If I would’ve known it would end up like this I would’ve had you bring her around sooner, Evans”
Thanks for requesting my love!
Remus Lupin x whimsical!reader ♡ 933 words
“You can’t go home before ten,” Sirius insists, stepping through the front door as James chats with the party’s host, some co-worker of Lily’s.
“I can go home whenever I want,” Remus says gruffly.
“Give us an hour at least,” James negotiates as he breaks away from his conversation. He takes the lead of their little group automatically, navigating them through the house to the patio out back. “Lily’s friend is really sweet, I think you’ll like—hi!” His face splits open as he catches sight of his girlfriend, waving.
He hurries over for a kiss. “I’ve missed you, sweetheart.”
“I saw you this morning,” Lily reminds him, smiling against his lips.
“Too long a period of separation. Terrible.”
Despite the fact that they’re really being very tame, Sirius groans loudly.
“You live together,” he complains, “don’t you think you could do this another time?”
Lily rolls her eyes at him, but James straightens, recalling his primary aim of the evening.
“Right, this is Y/N,” he gestures to you, sitting with your feet tucked underneath you on the couch. He supposes you’ve found somewhere to stow your shoes away for the evening. “Y/N, this is Sirius” --Sirius shoots you one of his roguish half-grins. It slips a bit when you smile and nod politely, seemingly unaffected-- “and Remus.”
Remus raises his hand in a little wave, but it does nothing to dim the lustrous smile you send him. James nudges his friend your way, going to sit with Lily and leaving Sirius to go in search of drinks.
Lily’s done her job well. She’s chosen a quiet spot, tucked away at the fringes of the party, where you can enjoy the music without having to shout over it. James watches furtively as you take to Remus instantly, asking a steady stream of questions in your quiet, serene voice. Remus seems a bit tense, as if wary of some unknown form of verbal attack, but James is assured that he’ll relax soon. That tends to be your effect.
You’re an odd bird, but mellow in a way James suspects will appeal to his reticent friend. Over the years, he’s found that Remus doesn’t need to be pulled from his shell so much as he needs people to crawl in there with him. You seem like you’d be exactly the right fit.
“Neither of you are subtle,” Sirius says, returning with drinks for the three of them. “They’re going to scare if you keep staring at them like that.”
“Shit.” Lily turns quickly, accepting her drink and fixing her attention deliberately on Sirius. “Do you think they’ve noticed?”
“No,” James says. He has to hide a smile in his drink as you take one of Remus’ hands in both of your own. Remus’ face has turned stop-sign red, but you’re oblivious, running your fingers over his palm with tender care. “I think they’re too caught up in each other to pay us much mind.”
“What the hell are they doing?” Sirius leans against the back of the chair Lily and James are sharing.
Lily is visibly restraining herself from turning around to see what he’s talking about. James laughs, dipping his head to kiss her freckled shoulder.
“I think it’s a palm reading.”
“Oh, she’s freaky good at that,” Lily says. “I mean, I don’t want to believe in it and I don’t think I do, but she hasn’t been wrong yet.”
James raises his eyebrows at her. “That’s a lot, coming from you.”
His girlfriend scowls, sipping her drink. “I don’t like it.”
“I can’t believe Moony’s blushing just from her holding his hand like that,” Sirius marvels. He shakes his head, astounded. “This has got to be the most prudish flirting I’ve ever seen.”
“I’m not even sure she’s trying to flirt with him,” James admits. “I think this is just the way she is.”
Sirius scoffs. “Whatever it is, it’s working. Look at his mouth.”
James does. “Oh, shit.”
“What?” Lily evidently can’t stand it any longer. She turns around, but frowns when she sees nothing. “What is it?”
“He’s got his tongue tucked into the corner of his mouth,” James explains, leaning over to align her vision with his. “See that little bump? That’s his tell. He’s trying not to smile.” He sits back, smug. “He likes her.”
The more James watches, the more obvious it becomes. The faint flush that’s spread across Remus’ freckles, never really going away. The way he holds eye contact with you unfailingly, when ordinarily he’d be dropping his gaze. The tongue-tuck, which slips up occasionally as a bashful grin lifts the corners of his mouth.
James doesn’t know you as well as Lily does, but he thinks you must like Remus too, from the way you keep talking to him without ever looking for your friend to come rescue you. Soon the conversation seems to have found its rhythm, with Remus contributing as much as you do. He starts teasing you, a familiar hand on your knee or a quirked eyebrow at something you say, and you eat it up. Your laughter tinkles like windchimes, floating over the party even after he, Lily, and Sirius have stopped paying attention.
You move closer together over the course of the night. James’ one-hour stipulation passes, then another. Eventually, Lily is ready to go home and Remus hasn’t brought it up once. Probably distracted by the whisper of air separating his nose from yours.
James whistles softly. “Evans, if I’d known this would go so easily I wouldn’t have you bring her around a long time ago.”

helloooooo my loves!!! here’s an intro into my comeback fic, american teenagers! i sat on this idea for a little while during my tiny break and i honestly couldn’t get it out of my head. i was heavily inspired by ethel cain for the vibes of it all, hence the name :)
please bear with me in all this as i do get easily overwhelmed and experience burnout very quickly but you guys are always supportive so i have no doubts!!
i’m not sure when the first chapter will be out, but i’m slowly working on it as i am very excited for you guys to read it! lots of love xx
the summer of 1987 was supposed to feel different. everyone in town kept saying it— teachers, parents, the tired voices on the radio between commercials. they said it like graduating highschool meant anything would actually change. but for the kids in the trailer park on the outskirts of town, it wasn’t much more than another hot season stretched out between long days and longer nights. the same parties by the lake, and the same dreams about escaping that no one really believed in.
the days were always the same for you. early mornings at the gas station counter, and evenings at the diner pouring coffee for truckers passing through. anything to keep you out of your father’s path really. your nights were often spent on the roof of your trailer, a cigarette in one hand and a notebook full of half-finished plans and dreams in the other. for daryl, the boy you had known since he was a scrawny little thing with clothes too big for him, it was merle’s shadow and busted knuckles, endless hours fixing bikes and cars in the sun while dreaming of roads that led anywhere but this small town.
you couldn’t remember a time when daryl dixon wasn’t around. his trailer was only three down from yours. you had been inseparable since the day you caught him standing by the broken fence of the trailer park, segregating the southside of town from the rest of the townspeople. the two of you had seemed like an odd pair to everyone else— daryl’s constant silence and smoldering anger along with your rough edges and restless energy —but somehow, it worked.
the summer after highschool felt like your last chance to figure out if those dreams the two of your had whispered about on those late night drives would ever come true. but the weight of this small town— the trailers, the jobs that paid barely enough to keep the lights on and your fathers off your backs, the scars you didn’t talk about —it all hung heavy between the both of you.
you didn’t really realise it at first, the way your feelings for daryl had shifted. it wasn’t a lightning bolt or this big grand revelation in your head. it was slower than that, like the way the heat crept up during june, making itself known in those hazy afternoons and the sweat dripping down your back. you started to notice those small things— how his voice softened when he talked to you, or the way his shoulders relaxed when the two of you were alone. you couldn’t pin point when it changed, only that it had.
daryl wasn’t any better at handling it either. he’d always thought of you as the one person who saw him for more than what people whispered about the dixons— trailer park trash, troublemakers, destined for nothing. you didn’t flinch at the bruises he didn’t explain, or the scars he wouldn’t talk about. you were his anchor, his light. but now, everytime you smiled at him or touched his arm, it felt like something inside him was breaking apart and putting itself back together all at once.
that summer wasn’t just about the heat, the bad decisions, or the endless nights spent sitting under a starless sky. it was about the weight of knowing you could only hold onto each other for so long before something— or someone —pulled you apart.
neither of you had the words to say it yet, but you both knew: the end of your childhood was here, and whatever seemed to come next would either bring you both closer or tear you apart for good.
if you enjoyed this, please give it a like/reblog! your support always means the world to me 🫶🏻
stay tuned for the first chapter! if you’d like me to add a tag list, comment below!

Damian and the reader get into a argument at work due to him being with Rhea 24/7 and not careing about her. Feelings and ends smut! ?
changed the “at work” part but i hope you enjoy this anyway ❤️
damian priest x reader
likes, comments and reblogs are always appreciated!
‼️angst, a lot of feelings, damian neglecting reader, mention of smut‼️
all night long
you loved damian, he was your boyfriend.
and you loved rhea too, she was your best friend.
and after the event of summerslam you saw them bonding more than before, you actually didn’t mind, they’ve always been great friends and after suffering from the action of their old team members, you could understand why they were so close.
what you didn’t understand was why damian was taking you for granted and spending more time with rhea.
he trained more with her, everytime you had plans he always brought rhea along, romantic movie nights became horror movies nights and you couldn’t stand it anymore.
it was like damian was treating you both as friends and you didn’t know why, especially since you were his girlfriend and not a normal friend.
but one night in particular made you out of your mind. it made you go crazy.
you were at home, already dressed in your nice and comfy outfit, waiting for damian to pick you up and drive you both to your mom’s birthday party. you were so excited to see all of your family together again and you couldn’t wait for your little cousin to meet damian, he was a huge fan and when you first told him that you were dating he couldn’t believe it until he saw the pictures. so now it was all he talked about.
but damian wasn’t home yet and the party was about to start.
you called him and texted him but with no response.
“fuck it…” you whispered. you weren’t going to miss your mom’s birthday and you sure weren’t going to miss it because of damian. so you took your car and drove all the way downtown to see your mom and family.
everyone noticed the little tension you had. your mom asked you about damian and you simply told her that he was working and he was coming later but you weren’t so sure at this point that he would show up.
you texted him probably 20 times that night but he never replied back.
“oh it’s damian…let me answer” you saw his name popping up on your phone, almost two hours later since the party started.
“where the fuck are you damian? it’s almost ten and you were supposed to be at home by eight…” you shouted-whispered, trying not to catch attention. you slowly dragged yourself into the backyard, out of everyone sight.
“i’m so sorry amor but i don’t think i can make it tonight…” he said, making your heart miss a few beats.
“the fuck are you talking about?” you wanted to scream so loud but you knew you couldn’t “get your ass up here damian, everyone is waiting for you!”
“i’m still at the gym mi amor…” you didn’t even let him finish talking.
“i don’t care! it’s my mom’s birthday and you promised damian…you promised you were going to be there, so get your ass up here now!” you were seeing black.
“i…i don’t think i can make it in time hermosa, i’m still training with rhea and…”
“of course you’re with her” you whispered, your words definitely catching damian’s attention.
“what did you say y/n?” his voice sounded more serious.
“nothing, just stay at the gym and train with her since she’s more important than me anyway, hope you have a good night” and before he could reply you hung up on him.
your mama was really sad when you told her that he wasn’t able to come because of work, but she understood, she had a great bond with damian and she liked him really much so, of course, she was a bit disappointed but she knew damian work was a lot.
in the meantime damian was stunned by your words. you really thought he cared about rhea like that?
“is everything okay dam?” rhea asked him, noticing the look he had on his face.
“yeah…i think y/n’s mad…”
“what did you do to make her mad?” she teased him, earning a chuckle from his lips.
“nothing important…let’s finish this so i can be home in thirty minutes” so he continued his training with rhea while you were trying the best to keep a smile on your face while everyone was celebrating your mom but inside you were breaking.
once the party ended you took your sweet time coming back home. not wanting to see damian, you took the longest route and passed by some of your favorite restaurants and bars, watching the couples inside and wondering if they had the same problems you had or if they were just happily living their relationships.
damian was waiting for you at home. knowing he was mad he wanted to make it up to you so, before coming home, he stopped by and brought you some chocolate and flowers.
when he heard the car outside he knew that he was going to get yelled at but he was ready. what he wasn’t ready to face was you entering the house and ignoring him, pretending he wasn’t there when he tried to talk to you.
“…can you please look at me? i know you’re mad and i’m completely sorry for tonight…but don’t ignore me like this” he followed you when you took out your shoes and placed them in the closet next to the front door. he followed you when you turn off the lights from the living room and went to the bedroom. he followed you because you wouldn’t let him speak and he hated it.
“that’s how i felt when you ignored me damian…” you simply said, trying not to show any emotion.
“i didn’t mean to ignore you…you know…we were training because this weekend we have an important match in berlin, a very important big match and we want to be perfect for that show” he said, his face not showing any emotion.
“oh so my mom’s birthday wasn’t important? i told you weeks ago to take a few hours, not even a full day, just a few hours off of work so you could have gone with me to her birthday! you should have seen everyone’s faces when i told them that my boyfriend completely forgot about her birthday and preferred to train… pretty sure no one likes you anymore” you didn’t mean to be so hard on him, but you were mad and you had every right to be. it’s not what you said to your family, you just told them that he was busy working and couldn’t come but you wanted him to feel at least guilty.
“and i told you i’m so sorry for missing her birthday, i’ll make it up to her but please you have to understand that -…”
“no damian! i don’t have to understand anything! the only thing i want to understand is why my boyfriend is neglecting me! and it’s not only about tonight, it’s about all the other things that used to be ours and now they’re not!” you couldn’t keep your emotions under control and so a few tears fell from your eyes “it’s about the dates you cancelled because rhea needed you, it’s about the movie nights you invited her over when those were our movie nights…it’s about rhea joining us everywhere we go, it’s about you being more at work than home, and when you’re home you don’t even acknowledge my presence…this is what’s about and you probably don’t even realise how bad it hurts…” you turned, not wanting to see him.
he had no idea about the pain he was causing you. he taught that supporting rhea during this difficult time was the best decision but not when you were feeling this way. he didn’t think that bringing rhea everywhere you went was a problem because he knew you were good friends but that was the problem. he didn’t think. he didn’t think about your feelings. he didn’t know what you were feeling because he didn’t have time for you.
and now, you crying because of him was making it worse.
“mariposa…i’m so fucking sorry…i-i had no idea you were feeling like this…” he couldn’t find enough words to express how sorry he was.
“yeah…i shouldn’t be the one to tell you this by the way…but it’s clear you like spending time with her more than me…” you were feeling jealous of your own best friend. the one who just got married. the one who wanted you to be her bridesmaid. but you couldn’t help the feeling of knowing that they were together 24/7 because of their work.
“you think i want her?” no answer from you “you think i want her? answer me y/n…you think i want rhea?” his eyes black, staring at you, staring at your soul.
you knew you were stupid to doubt of damian’s love for you, you knew he loved you and you knew he didn’t think of rhea like that but he had no idea how it felt being neglected by the man you loved “you don’t know how i felt damian…” and it was true, all those dates he missed just because he had to train with her, the movie nights were it was just the two of you, the football games he used to take you alone, you missed the little things that made you happy.
“i told you…i’m so sorry for what happened” damian apologised for the millionth time that night.
“i don’t care if you’re sorry damian! i shouldn’t be the one to remind you that you have a girlfriend waiting for you at home …” he wasn’t even seeing your point of view, he was just mad that you thought that there was something going on between him and rhea.
“we can keep screaming at each other or we can talk about this like two adults” he said, waiting for a response from you.
“i definitely don’t wanna talk tonight. it’s late, i’m tired and i have things to do tomorrow…” you said, stripping down from your clothes and putting your pj on.
“so we are going to bed mad at each other?” he asked, watching every movement that you made.
“i don’t know, i’m definitely not sleeping with you damian tonight. you pick. you take the guest bedroom or i will, i don’t care, i’m just tired…”
damian couldn’t believe his ears “we are not sleeping apart, we talk about this now…”
you sighed “there’s not much to talk about damian. you’ve been neglecting me for weeks and if i didn’t speak you wouldn’t even have noticed it, so, it’s pretty clear to me that i’m not important as you are for me…ask her to keep you company tonight” a tear fell down from your eye but you were quick to wipe it away.
“stop that nonsense y/n! por favor! i messed up, i know that! but stop bringing rhea into this! it’s about me and you…i know i fucked up! i thought i was being a nice friend, i thought that it would have helped her heal from what happened at summerslam…i thought that you didn’t mind having rhea with us all the time because you are great friends but i didn’t think about how you might have felt and that was my fault…that was my mistake and i realise i fucked up…but don’t ever say that i care about rhea more than i care about you because that’s absolutely bullshit!” he didn’t mean to scream but you were the most important person in his life and he couldn’t handle the idea of you thinking so less about your relationship. he loved you with all of his heart.
were you really so blind to doubt about his love for you?
you couldn’t keep your tears inside any longer so you let them fall.
damian opened his big arms for you and gently hugged you, letting you cry all of your tears “i’m so sorry that i made you feel this way y/n…i had no idea how you felt but i promise you, from now on, no more rhea, just us…”
“i don’t mind having her around, she’s my best friend…but you are my boyfriend and, and there are moments where i feel like you just treat me as a friend…there are moments where i want you just for myself…” you cried into his shirt.
he couldn’t find words. he knew he hurt you and the way you were crying told him everything he needed to know “i’m so sorry mi amor…”
“it’s okay i guess…” you mumbled against his chest.
“no it’s not okay…i fucked up and i know that, i’m so sorry i made you feel that way…but at the same time i can’t believe you would even think that i would want rhea the same way i want you…it makes me feel like i failed somehow, as a boyfriend” he confessed, making you look into his eyes.
“you didn’t fail…i think we should have talked about this instead of screaming at each other…i’m sorry too…” you apologised, realising that maybe you went too far too.
“look at me y/n…” he slowly lifted your chin up, making you look at him “you’re the only person i want, the only person i need…and i would spend all night long to prove it too you” his thumb gently wiped your tears away “all night long…” he repeated, whispering against your lips before he planted a small kiss upon your lips, testing the waters.
when he felt you reacting to the kiss, he went deeper. slowly opening his mouth a little more, biting your lips, making you moan into his mouth “you’re the only one i want” he whispered again, making you believe that.
his hands moved to your hips, lightly pushing you on the bed, his lips never leaving yours “i promised you, i would spend all night to make it up to you hermosa…” and he did maintain his promise.
showing you how sorry and sad he was that you ever doubt his love for you. showing you how horny and hard you get him, because you are the only woman to have that affect on him. showing you how deeply in love he is with you because he can’t live without you.

Unexpected Love (smau)
✮- pairing: joão félix x fem!reader

✮- summary: when an unexpected turn of events causes a beloved pop star and a rising fútbol star to unexpectedly fall in love and share their story through social media
✮- warnings: none
✮- author’s note: this is pure fiction, also this is my first time doing anything like this so if you have any tips or feedback that would be great. also jude bellingham and reader have a pure platonic friendship.

Stepcest, Stepson!Coryo x Stepmother!Reader, Sub!Coriolanus, Switch!Reader, Crassus Snow x Younger!Reader
WARNING ⚠️ Coriolanus Snow is a warning in and of itself. Crassus Snow is a cold hearted asshole, but he's a hot asshole... Stepcest, older man/younger woman, arranged marriage, cheating, affairs, secrets, cussing, secret love child, Coryo is a bit selfish and too ambitious, Crassus decides to try and be a better husband/father
Part 4:
Dinner has just been served, so you're gathered around the dining room table with Grandma'am and Coriolanus. Crassus isn't home yet, but you're not worried about his absence. He'll be home any minute. He always walks in around the time dinner's served.
In fact, you're expecting to hear the door open and your husband's footsteps echo against the marble floor at any second. Like you've been hearing every single night around this time since you moved into the Snow penthouse; became a part of the Snow family.
You’re picking at your food with disinterest while listening to Coriolanus brag about the praise he received from Dr. Gaul during his internship earlier in the day.
“Dr. Gaul wants me to help her conduct an experiment on a new test subject.” Coriolanus smiled proudly, icy eyes sparkling with excitement.
“Oh, I hope it's nothing too ghastly. Some of those science experiments can be atrocious.” Grandmaam says while cutting her chicken with such grace. Truly, her manners were from a time once forgotten- a time of gentleman and cavaliers. “Why, I remember when I was a girl our science teacher made us dissect frogs. Can you believe that?”
And suddenly the sound of the phone ringing fills the air.
Ring, ring, ring…
“I'll get it.” You announce, removing your napkin from your lap before standing up.
Coriolanus just nods before telling Grandma'am, “Oh, Dr. Gaul won't be having me dissecting frogs. Her experiments are more complex than that.”
Yea, the mad scientist will probably be having him dissect the latest drugged and numbed body of a district test subject turned mutt.
Ring, ring, ring...
You quickly make your way into the sitting room, which was closer to the dining room and had a phone in it.
Ring, ring, ring…
“Hello, Snow residence. Mrs. Snow speaking.” You answer in the polite way you've been instructed to take phone calls for the family. Yes, the Snows are an old and highly regarded family so answering the phone has to be a polite and professional affair.
“Y/N, it's me. Crassus.” Your husband says over the phone. Of course, the phone in the sitting room isn't a video phone, but a simple standard phone, so you can't see his facial expressions.
The video phones are in the living room and in your husband's study. Why, who knows. You really don't care either. Not like you talk to a lot of people on the phone anyways.
Sadly, the few friends you had drifted away from you once you married Crassus shortly after graduating the Academy. Apparently, your ‘friends’ didn't want to associate with you anymore because your husband's a middle-aged man; a cold-hearted war hero. Yes, you suppose that your husband intimidated your ‘friends’ just by his presence and that's why they all drifted away.
Sometimes your brother calls you to check in, but, sadly, he's too busy with his life as an Officer in 12. And your mother rarely calls. You don't know why, but for some reason you being married and a mother doesn't quite sit well with her despite the fact that she signed off on your arranged marriage contract.
Your brow furrows at hearing your husband on the phone. Shouldn't he be on his way home right now?
And as if he could read your thoughts, Crassus tells you, “I’m calling because I'm going to be late for dinner.”
Why?
As if he heard your mental musing, he explains, “I let my secretary leave early. It's his anniversary and he's taking his wife out for dinner.”
Of course, your husband lets his secretary leave early to celebrate his anniversary while you've never celebrated an anniversary let alone a birthday with Crassus. Hell, the only reason you celebrate holidays with your husband's because they're federal and all of the government buildings are closed for them.
“So, I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what time-” Crassus began to say, only to cut himself off mid sentence when he heard you sniffling over the phone.
Crassus couldn't help, but feel as if he's the reason you're sniffling. He doesn't know why, but it sends a pang to his cold heart. He's sitting at his desk, clutching his phone; listening to your sniffles turn into soft sobs and he has no idea how to deal with it. Crassus isn't a man that's a natural comforter; in fact he's naturally stern and aloof.
“Petal?” Crassus asks, the new pet name slipping from his tongue before his mind could think better of it. Before he could utter your name.
Petal? Since when does your husband use pet names with you? Are you hallucinating? Is your baby blues making you hear things? Wiping your tears, due to your rollercoaster emotions brought on by the baby blues, you compose yourself and tell Crassus, “I'll have your plate placed in the oven for you. You can reheat it whenever you get home.”
You didn't even give Crassus a chance to respond, just told him, “I'll see you whenever you get home. Bye.”, before hanging up on him.
Instead of returning to the dining room, you opted to spend some time with your son in his nursery. Since Cassian's sleeping, you decide to just sit in the corner rocking chair while watching him.
Cassian was such a precious baby. Over the last few days he's started to settle easier; sleep a bit longer. He's a good baby; doesn't cry too much- just when he's hungry or his diaper’s soiled. Little Cassian Xandros is also a very happy baby. Even tho he's barely a week old, you swear he smiles at you every time his icy eyes (Snow eyes) lands on you- his mom.
You're not sure how long you've been in the nursery for, but you know it's been a while because Coriolanus enters the room with a frown maring his prominent and flawless face.
“You never came back to the dining room after answering the phone, mommy.” Coryo tells you, closing the door behind him and striding over to you.
“I wasn't hungry.” Is your excuse. Well, it wasn't an excuse per say. You truly did lose your appetite considering you were picking at your plate before Crassus even called. You're blaming that on the baby blues since you're feeling a bit melancholy.
“You can't skip meals, Y/N. You're a nursing mother; you need all the strength you can get to properly feed our son.” He chastises while towering over you.
Sighing, you remind your lover, “As far as legality’s concerned, Coryo, Cassian's my son with Crassus; he's his father while you're the older brother.”
Coriolanus' handsome face contorts as his baritone echoes out darkly, “Don't throw that minor inconvenience into my face. Despite what legal papers say I'm the baby's father and as his father I want what's best for him, which includes you eating properly in order to nurse him.”
The University student's berating sounds harsh to you. Perhaps it's because of your baby blues or perhaps it's because he's making you feel like he's attacking your abilities as a mother. But whatever the reason, his lecture has tears springing to your eyes. Tears that you just can't control.
Coriolanus' face skews up in bafflement. He can't understand why you're breaking down in tears over nothing. He's just having a conversation with you. And he's noticed that this isn’t the first time you've been weepy and dismal for no good reason.
Yes, over the last few days while coming and going from the penthouse, Coriolanus has noticed that you've been a sniffling, melancholic mess. But he can't figure out why. You have him and the baby he decided to give you, you should be happy- no, not just happy, but grateful for those things; not boo-hooing when you think you're all alone.
Frankly, the golden- haired devil with a halo of curls is tired of your tears. They have no merit. At least not in his mind.
Taking long, quick steps over to the baby's crib, your lover picks up the newborn, causing him to wake up with a loud wail of a cry, and storms over to you. Literally shoving the baby into your arms, Coryo callously orders, “Stop your mindless weeping.” As you soothe your baby, you're hiccuping while tears still continue to stain your cheeks. “You have me, who loves you, and the baby I gave you; there's no reason for you to be so out of sorts, mommy.” The platinum blonde tells you, trying to get you to see how unwarranted your cries are.
But before you can even explain that it's not your fault, that according to Grandma'am you have the baby blues, Coryo sees himself out of the room with the excuse that he was homework to do to ensure he's still the top of his graduating class.
When Crassus gets home, his mother's up and waiting for him. “Crassus, I'm appalled and ashamed that you never came home for dinner.” Grandma'am chastised her only living son as soon as he set foot in the main room of the penthouse, briefcase loosely clutched in his large hand.
“Mother-” The cold and stoic man begins, only for his mother to cut him off with a firm and motherly, “Don't mother me, Crassus Xanthos Snow. Not when you come home 2-hours later then you should; missing dinner and quality time with your family.”, while rising from her seat and marching over to her son with as much speed as her old arthritis filled bones will let her.
“I called Y/N and told her I'd be late. Didn't she relay my message?” Crassus asks- using the question as his defense against being late.
“She received the call while we were gathered in the dining room for dinner; she never returned after your call.”
Great…him coming home late made you so sad that you couldn't even rejoin the family for dinner. Were you crying so badly that you couldn't control it; that you felt the need to eat perhaps after everyone else was done as a way to hide your sadness from them? Oh, hell, did he screw up not coming home for dinner?
Fuck!
He's a horrible husband.
A horrible, shitty, cold-hearted husband that doesn't know how to treat his wife, who’s 2-decades younger than him. But, despite being a cold, indifferent husband towards you he doesn't want you crying at the drop of a hat and being sad.
His first wife seemed so happy to be Mrs. Snow; she even seemed to smile a bit brighter when she shoved him out the door for work- and that was back when he was stationed in District 12 as the Commander and only came home to his Corso penthouse in the Capitol on furloughs. How is it that his late wife, Demeter, was never saddened by his absence while you are? You both married him at similar ages, both knew what was expected of you- being a proper socialite housewife of the respected heir of an esteemed founding Capitolite family, so what was the difference between you and her? Why is it that you're a mess, crying your eyes out, because he's emotionally cold and unavailable while his first wife wasn't bothered by it; didn't seem to mind his cold-hearted and stern ways?
Were you more emotional because you took after your father, Javani, more than your mother, Helenium? Were you more of an introverted, kind-hearted, sunshine and roses type then he originally thought? He remembers that Javani Halvir, his late best friend and your father, was very introverted and only opened up around those he was truly comfortable with, that he truly didn't have a mean bone in his body- hence why he got along so easily with just about everyone he crossed paths with, and that he always looked on the sunny side of life.
Oh shit…
If you truly have a personality like your father's then your marriage to Crassus is probably slowly killing you since he's not doing anything to make you feel comfortable. Maybe he should've looked harder to find you a suitable match with somebody younger and less jaded? But, truthfully, Crassus jumped the gun and married you in fear of General Byzantine (the former Commander of 2 that was on the rebels' side of the war before siding with his friend Strabo Plinth and joining the Capitol against the rest of the rebellion and ending the siege around Capitol City) using Strabo Plinth’s money to seduce your mother's soul into allowing him to have your hand in marriage. He knew that Javani would roll over in his grave and haunt him from Elysian if Crassus let Byzantine get his grubby, lecherous hands on you.
Giving her son a motherly whack on the arm, the type all mothers use for scolding, Grandma'am gives Crassus a much needed lecture on his skills as a husband. “Crassus, I draw the line at you missing dinner tonight. You're not a very caring or attentive husband to Y/N and maybe before my new grandbaby came I could turn a blind eye to it, but I can't do it anymore. You need to be more understanding and considerate of your wife's feelings, Crassus. She's a new mother to Cassian; her entire life is now devoted to raising the child that you gifted her, she deserves a husband that at least pretends to care about her and his newborn then one that blatantly doesn't.”
“Mother-” Crassus tried to dig himself out of the hole that was his mother's scolding, but was cut off by her snapping, “Crassus, I'm ashamed at how you're treating your wife. Being a new mother's very taxing on her; she needs your support, even if it's just faux support.”
“My first wife wasn't like Y/N; she didn't need my attention and support so badly.” Crassus points out as a weak way of defending his shitty actions as a husband.
“Demeter, bless her heart and rest her soul, was nothing like Y/N.” Grandma'am told her son. Not waiting from him to make a reply, the elderly woman explained her remark with, “She was a youthful, vapid, vain girl that viewed joining our family by marrying you as a way to get out from under her parents thumb. According to Pluribus, she batted her eyes and powdered her nose at you while plopping herself down at your table while at his old nightclub. She wanted a marriage, but was too insipid to truly want anything past the successful husband and the perfect family that includes a male heir to coddle and spoil."
Grandma'am grew to care for her first daughter-in-law after living with her for so long, since Crassus didn't take her on base with him, but she never saw her as having what it took to be a true Snow. She always thought the young lady was lacking something since she always seemed a bit dull, despite being a gentle-soul.
“And Y/N’s like her father, Javani.” Crassus stated what he'd only just realized a few minutes earlier.
Grandma'am patted her son on the cheek, a small smile gracing her lips. “It took you long enough to see it, my boy.”
Now, in Grandma'am's opinion you have what it takes to be a Snow. You're a lovely girl, very well rounded. But she's afraid that if her son doesn't support you during your baby blues then you'll turn into a former shell of yourself.
Grandma'am, unlike you, had the support of her husband during her boughs of the baby blues. Hopefully she can get her son to be benevolent towards you.
After Crassus placed his briefcase in his study, he went to your shared bedroom only to discover that you weren't there. He knew that the only other place you could be was the nursery. He made a mental note to go to the nursery to see you once he was finished showering and dressing in a pair of fine silk pajamas.
So, that's why when you're in the middle of singing your son to sleep with a pre-Panem song that you remember your father tucking you into bed with before the war: Cat’s in the Cradle, Crassus walks into the room.
Your husband quickly realizes that you're smiling at the baby cradled in your arms as you softly sing to him. That you seem genuinely happy. Crassus can't help, but to wonder if the only time you're happy and not sad is when you're spending time with Cassian.
“And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon. Little boy blue and the man in the moon.”, You softly sing, only to be interrupted by your husband's deep voice saying, “I think he's asleep and it's time for you to join me in bed, petal.”
Nodding, you stand while holding the baby close to your chest. The sight reminds your husband of a fierce lioness with her cubs. “Did you get your dinner from the oven?” You ask while bringing your baby over to his crib.
“No.” Crassus shakes his head. “I thought-” He began, only to be cut off by you flatly telling him, “You should eat before going to bed, Crassus.” Placing Cassian into his crib, you add in the rhetorical question of, “It wouldn't be good for the breadwinner of the house to get sick from malnutrition, now would it?”
Crassus assumes that you ate once Grandma'am and Coriolanus were done eating in the dining room, so he doesn't ask you to join him in the kitchen for his meal of leftovers. No, instead he just nods and tells you that he'll join you in bed once he's done eating.
And when he does join you in your shared bed, well, you're already fast asleep. So, he quietly joins you in bed- making sure not to disturb you. Like his mother said, you're a new mother whose world revolves around your son; you need as much rest as you can get.
But as he lays his platinum curls on his pillow, he realizes that you look peaceful in your sleep. He can't honestly say that he's even seen you look so content before.
And for some reason, unknown to him, he wanted to see that look of tranquility on your face during waking hours as well.
Leo Davis stepped off the elevator and went over to his desk. He was 15 minutes late, but he did have a very passionate night celebrating his anniversary with his wife last night. A celebration that started at dinner and ended in the bedroom of their modest apartment that they're paying too much rent for. And as soon as he sat down at his desk, the door to his boss's office flew open.
Oh no, was he in trouble for being late? Crassus was always in the office way before the official start time of 9 o’clock, so did he know that Leo just arrived? The secretary was scared to death of being fired for being late as he watched his boss emerge from his office. The imposing man, who was well over 6 feet tall, walked over to his employee’s desk with his coffee mug in hand.
Coming to a stop at Leo's desk, Crassus took a sip of his coffee and asked, “So, Leo, how was your anniversary with your wife last night?”
Leo Davis nearly choked on his own spit. Since when does the General Crassus Snow want to know about his personal life? The man was always shutting down all attempts at conversation that even remotely seemed to steer towards personal things, such as family. If it wasn't about work, a coffee, or a good order then Crassus didn't talk about it.
“Well, did you have a nice time?” Crassus asked as Leo just looked at him wide-eyed, like a deer caught in headlights.
“Oh, yes, yes, we had a nice time.” Leo nods, nearly tripping over his tongue as he answers his boss. Holy hell, he still doesn't believe what's happening. That his boss is asking him about the details of his anniversary.
Deciding to not look a gift horse in the mouth, the secretary smiles and tells his boss the details of his night. Well, the details that are safe for work that is.
“You should bring your wife to Palace Arms for your anniversary. You'll have to make a reservation and it's located in the Denver Palace Hotel, but it's worth it for a special occasion.” Leo advised his boss, just to be friendly. Perhaps being friendly will get him a lesser workload. Eh, wishful thinking never hurt anyone.
Nodding, Crassus simply says, “I'll keep that in mind.” He knows that since he didn't do anything with you to celebrate your last anniversary that the he'll have to make up for his lack of interest with the upcoming one. So, he truly means it when he says he'll keep the prospect of taking you to the Palace Arms for your next anniversary in mind.
Before seeing you crying in the corner of your shared bedroom, Crassus would never ask for marital advice- and from a lowly employee as well, but now all he wants is to make you happy. He wants you to stop crying so much; wants you to stop being sad. He also wants to know what to do to change things, so that's why Crassus straight up asks his secretary, “Leo, how do you make your wife happy?”
“What?” Leo asks, wide-eyed and taken aback. Did his boss really just ask him that?
“My wife's been sad lately and since you seem to be on good terms with your wife, I was wondering, how do you make your wife happy?” Crassus asks, explaining his previous question in length, before taking another sip of his coffee.
“Um, I suppose I make my wife happy just by doing the little things for her.” Leo answers while wishing he didn't accidentally leave his travel mug of coffee at home on the kitchen counter. He could really use some right now.
“What are the little things you do for her?” Crassus asks, clearly oblivious to what ‘the little things' means. The man was cold, stern, and indifferent by nature. He wasn't one to make gestures out of care of love. So, yes, he really has no idea what his secretary's talking about.
And that was the moment that Leo Davis knew he was doomed to be General Crassus Snow’s personal marriage counselor/advisor. Oh, how the stars seemed to play a cosmic joke on him, huh?

Summary: Spencer asks you out for coffee and things get heated at the library.

“H-hey Y/n.” He responded with a little stutter. I’ve always known Spencer to be this shy, quiet, but well spoken man. For some reason he seemed even more shy at this moment. “What’s up?” I asked as I began packing my purse up.
He sat there for a moment, gathering his thoughts before speaking up. “I was wondering if..maybe you’d like to get coffee with me and go to a book store..?” Spencer hesitantly asked. My face lit up with the biggest smile ever. Did I just get asked out by Spencer Reid?!
My heart was pounding and my body began to feel hot. Without hesitation I answered quickly. “Yes! I would love to, Spence!” His face looked as if he was relieved, yet happy.
You were the girl Spencer has been wanting for the past 2 years and he finally had the courage to ask you out. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/n.” He said as he nodded his head before stepping into the elevator. I made sure the elevator doors closed all the way before silently congratulating myself.
I was so happy I didn’t even notice Morgan was there the whole time. “Looks like pretty boy finally asked you out.” He announced with that smirk on his face. My eyes widened at his statement. What did he mean finally?
“Morgan?” I questioned as he took a sip of his coffee. “What?” He replied.
“What do you mean finally?” I asked as he just chuckled. “You really haven’t noticed, have you?” What the hell is he talking about?! I shook my head no at him as sighed and threw his head back. “I can’t believe you’re that oblivious, you’re a profiler for fucks sake.” He said as I rolled my eyes. “Get to the point Morgan!” I stated.
I was anxious to know what he meant and he kept dragging this whole thing out. “Pretty boy likes you. You’re the only person who he ever hugs, shares food with, and he’s constantly stares at you when you’re not looking.” He explained.
I didn’t wanna get my hopes up. Maybe Derek was right, but I’m not gonna believe it until I hear it from Spencer’s mouth. Plus Derek plays around a lot. “Yeah right! Why should I believe you?” I asked with a raised eyebrow as he chuckled.
“Because he told me himself.” Morgan smirked as my jaw dropped. “Really?!” I desperately asked. “You two would make a cute couple.” He chuckled as he patted me on the back, heading towards the elevator doors. “Derek!” I shouted as he was now pressing the elevator button. “Goodnight, sweetheart!” He shouted back with a smirk.
I groaned to myself.
____________
It was the day. I was going out with Spencer. I’m so nervous, yet so excited. I haven’t been able to stop smiling all day. It was fall outside so I decided to wear some stockings with a skirt and a long sleeve top. Nothing too over the top.
Spencer decided to meet me at my apartment so we could walk to the coffee shop and the library. I sprayed some fall scented perfume on as I heard a knock on the door. That’s him!
I rushed to the door and opened it immediately, I was met with the tall, scrawny, handsome Spencer Reid. “Hi, Y/n.” He softly greeted with a smile on his face. “Hey, Spence!” I greeted back. “You ready?” He asked as I said Yes and we headed out the door.
We made it to the coffee shop, Spence paid for the both of us, I told him that he didn’t have to, but he insisted. He then started putting in a bunch of sugar in his coffee as I eyed him. He saw my expression and laughed a bit. “The sugar helps me stay up.” He explained.
“You haven’t tried melatonin gummies?” I genuinely asked. “I’ve never heard of it. Does it work?” He asked curiously. “What?! The famous Dr. Reid doesn’t know about melatonin gummies?!” I faked gasped as he chuckled. “In my defense, I’m not on the internet that often.” He explained.
We walked out the coffee shop and were now on our way to the library. “Really? Then what do you do all day?” I asked, curiosity coating my words. “I like to read.” He said softly as he pressed his lips together. Gosh, he’s so cute.
We finally made it to the library, the smell of books hitting our noses. “How bout you?” He asked as I looked over at him. “What?”
“Do you read?” He asked, his eyes widening, hoping you’d say yes.
“I do actually..but not serious books like you. To be honest, I’m into comics and murder mystery.” I stated. “Maybe you’d let me read one of your comics?” He awkwardly asked as I giggled. “Of course! I have some back at my place.” I answered as a smile covered his face.
We walked over to the book section and Spencer saw a science book. He started rambling about it, I never understand what he’s saying, I just like hearing him speak. It’s so cute seeing him talk about something he’s so passionate about. I zoned out, I was just looking at him while smiling that I didn’t even hear him say my name.
“-Y/n?” “Sorry. What were you saying?” I asked. “Would you want to be an astronaut?” He replied. I quickly shook my head no as he laughed. “Why not? You get to see stuff the average human doesn’t and study stars.” He said before taking a sip of his coffee.
“It’s all fun and games until something goes wrong and you get stuck in space.” I stated as he shrugged his shoulders. “That’s a fair reasoning.” Spencer said understandingly.
We walked past another section of books and one particular book caught my eyes. Fifty Shades of Grey. Spencer took notice to this as he walked over to the book I picked up. “What’s this?” He asked I smirked. “You’ve never heard of this?” He shook his head no. “Have you seen the movies?” He shook his head no. “Do you know what it’s about?” He shook his head no again as I giggled.
I took this as my opportunity to do what I’ve been wanting since I laid my eyes on him. “I can give you a hint.” I said lowly ask I wrapped my arms around his neck. He placed his coffee on the shelf next to him as his breath hitched. We both moved our heads until our lips touched and I brought him into a slow, deep, passionate kiss.
I gripped some of his hair as he groaned into my mouth. I was starting to get wet just from the sound that came out of him. I wrapped one leg around his waist as he gripped my ass, making me softly moan. “I need you.” He said with desperation in his eyes. I forgot that we were in public. I hope no one heard us.
“I need you too.” I pleaded. I placed one last kiss to his lips before getting on my knees in front of him. His eyes widened, shocked at the acts I’m about to do. “We’re in public- we can’t!” Spencer whispered shouted. I just looked up at him with doe eyes as I unbuckled his belt. He let out a sigh, giving up.
I pulled his pants down some, along with his underwear. His cock was hard and red es ever. I placed a kiss to his tips, then his balls as lost his breath for a second. “Y/n.” He whispered. I licked a stripe up his dick as he squeezed his eyes shut. I stopped teasing him and finally took him whole. I deepthroated him, his tip hit the back of my throat as he almost lost his balance, his hand gripping the shelf for stability.
“Nghh!” He moaned. I took him out my mouth and put him back in, bobbing my head up and down. He grabbed my hair and started guiding me to suck it just how he likes it. “Mhmm” my moans vibrated on his cock as he grunted.
I hollowed my mouth as I looked up at him with doe eyes. His chocolate brown eyes were wide, he couldn’t believe what he was doing, especially in public. Anyone could walk past and see what was going on, he felt sick for enjoying it, deep down he wants someone to walk past and see his cock shoved down your throat.
I felt his dick twitch, now taking him out my mouth and sucking on his balls. “Fuck I’m gonna cum!” He choked out. “Cum.” I lowly said. As I said, he did. He let out a low whine as his cum shot all over my face as I opened my mouth letting some of it fall in. My face was covered in Spencer’s cum, my cheeks, eyelashes, lips, and the inside of my mouth.
I licked up his dick again, licking up all the excess cum and placing a kiss on his balls. I then stood back up and wrapped one arm around his neck. I wiped some of his cum off my face and stuck my hand down my skirt rubbing his cum all on my pussy.
Poor boy looked like he could barely stand. He stared at me in awe as I grabbed his hand placing it inside my skirt, he rubbed my clit some, smearing his cum all around. I was trying to hold my moans in but it was so hard. “Mhhm Spencer!” I moaned into his chest. “You’re so wet.” He said in amazement. “Because of you.” I responded.
I started moaning into his ear while his fingers were still rubbing my clit as I saw a worker. She made eye contact with me. Her eyes widened and she hurried off, terrified at what she just saw.
Spencer pushed me off of him and pulled his pants off. “I need you so bad right now. We’re going to my place.” He stated as I smirked. Spencer was so focused on getting some pussy that he didn’t even bother buckling his belt. On top of that I still had his cum on my face.
We walked out the doors as another worker looked at us in shock. She knew what we’d been up to just from the looks of us. I smirked at her as we walked out the building.
I’m about to have the best sex of my life.

Daddy is Home pt.2 (final part)~Jude Bellingham
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/841dd41de492cfd60b8b0ede23324664/a3ff67a24151e234-e5/s540x810/d8fb5f204d24cf77167ccc0c24e8e88ca1a35b02.jpg)
Plot: Jude Bellingham and you were together but broke up due to the distance. Your paths separated and you were engaged. After a year he returns to his city and enters the bar and you were with your new boyfriend. Jude sees you and walks up to you and tells you that he was back for you and a new beginning.
Part.1
After that meeting at the café, your mind couldn’t find peace. Every word Jude had said kept echoing in your ears, every look he had given you seemed etched into your memory. Even Marco had noticed your silence that evening, but he didn’t press you, respecting your space.
Despite your efforts, you couldn’t stop thinking about Jude.
“Are you happy?” he had asked you. Such a simple question, yet so hard to face.
A week went by. You tried to focus on work, your friends, and your relationship with Marco, but fate had other plans for you.
It was a quiet afternoon when you decided to go to the supermarket to pick up some ingredients for dinner. Pushing the cart down the aisles, lost in thought, you turned the corner and… found yourself face to face with him.
Jude.
He was there, right in front of you, holding a package of pasta. For a moment, he looked as surprised as you, but then his face broke into a disarming smile.
“Y/N,” he said, as if he couldn’t believe his eyes.
You froze, your hands gripping the cart’s handle. “Jude… what are you doing here?”
He shrugged, a light smile on his lips. “The same thing you are, I suppose. Buying dinner.”
You tried to seem indifferent, but your heart was pounding. “Well, it is a supermarket, after all.”
He laughed, a familiar sound that made your stomach tighten. “True. But I didn’t think I’d run into you again so soon.”
You tried joking to ease the tension. “Fate must be having a lot of fun lately.”
“Maybe,” he said, glancing down briefly. Then he looked back at you, and there was something different in his eyes. A determination you hadn’t seen at the café. “Or maybe it’s giving me another chance to talk to you.”
You shook your head, trying to keep control. “Jude, we’ve already talked. We can’t keep doing this.”
“I can’t stop thinking about you,” he admitted, as direct as always. “And if I’m being honest, I don’t think you can stop thinking about me either.”
His words hit you like a lightning bolt. You stared at him, searching for a response, but nothing came.
“Tell me I’m wrong, Y/N,” he continued, his voice lower, almost a whisper. “Look me in the eyes and tell me what we had doesn’t matter anymore. That you don’t feel anything.”
At that moment, you felt an unbearable weight on your chest. You wanted to say something, anything, but all you could do was look away.
“You can’t,” he said, as if he had just confirmed what he’d been hoping for. “Because you know it too.”
The air between you was so heavy it was hard to breathe. Finally, you found the strength to speak.
“Jude, this situation is complicated. I… I have a life with Marco. I can’t just forget everything and come back to you.”
He took a step toward you but kept a respectful distance. “I’m not asking you to forget. I’m asking you to listen to your heart. You know what this means. You know what we mean.”
His honesty left you defenseless. At that moment, a familiar voice interrupted your thoughts.
“Love, did you find everything?”
It was Marco. He joined you with his cart, glancing between you and Jude, visibly puzzled by the tension.
“Yes, I was just…” you began, but your voice cracked. Jude turned to Marco, his expression calm but resolute.
“I was just saying hello to Y/N,” Jude said, his tone polite but cool. “I hope you’re happy.”
And with that, he picked up his basket and walked away, leaving you standing there, motionless, while Marco looked at you, clearly suspicious.
“What did he want?” Marco asked, trying to piece together what had happened.
You watched Jude disappear among the aisles, your heart in turmoil. “Nothing,” you lied, but your voice trembled.
And as Marco took your hand to lead you to the checkout, you realized fate wasn’t done with you and Jude yet.
---
After the encounter at the supermarket, Marco had realized that something was wrong. You were never good at hiding your emotions, and he was too attentive not to notice. One evening, while you were having dinner together, he decided to address it.
"Y/N, we need to talk," he said, calmly putting down his fork.
You looked up, already knowing where this was heading. "What’s wrong?"
"Something happened when you saw your ex, didn’t it?"
You felt your breath catch. You tried to deny it, but you knew it wouldn’t work. "Marco, I..."
"There’s no need to say it," he interrupted, his tone gentle but firm. "I can see you’re not the same anymore. You’re distant. And as much as it hurts me, I think I know why."
You lowered your gaze, guilt washing over you. "I’m sorry, Marco. I didn’t mean to hurt you."
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It’s not your fault, Y/N. But I can’t compete with someone you’ve loved that much. It’s clear you’ve never stopped thinking about him."
Those words hit you deeply, but you knew he was right. In the end, you and Marco parted ways on good terms, with him wishing you the best. But for you, that ending marked only the beginning of a new chapter you weren’t sure where would lead.
---
A week later, it was a quiet morning. You’d decided to take a walk to clear your mind, still uncertain about what to do. You found yourself in a small park in the city, the warm sun lighting up the path ahead of you.
As you walked, lost in thought, you heard a familiar voice behind you.
"Y/N?"
You turned around quickly, and your heart skipped a beat. It was Jude. He was wearing a simple jacket, his hair a little messy, but his gaze was the same as ever: deep and full of emotion.
"Jude," you murmured, unable to hold back a smile.
He approached you slowly, almost hesitantly. "I didn’t think I’d see you here."
You shrugged, trying to sound casual. "It’s one of my favorite places to relax."
He gave a small smile, then looked at you with an intensity that made you catch your breath. "Are you alone?"
You nodded, knowing you couldn’t hide the truth anymore. "Marco and I broke up."
For a moment, his face softened, as if trying to process how to feel. "Why?" he asked, though it seemed he already knew the answer.
You bit your lip, gathering your courage. "Because I couldn’t stop thinking about you."
Jude stayed silent, his eyes studying your every move. Then he stepped closer, close enough to make your heart race. "Y/N, you’ve been driving me crazy for weeks. Every time I see you, every time I think of you, I know that all I want is to be with you."
His words struck a chord deep within you. "I... I tried to move on, Jude. But I couldn’t. Not with you in my heart."
He smiled softly, lifting a hand to gently touch your face. "Then let’s stop fighting it, Y/N. Let’s stop pretending."
Before you could respond, Jude leaned in and kissed you. His lips were soft, warm, and the world around you seemed to stop. It was a kiss full of everything you’d held back for so long: love, longing, hope.
When you finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours. "I love you, Y/N. I always have."
You felt a tear slide down your cheek, but it was one of relief, of happiness. "I love you too, Jude. And I don’t ever want to lose you again."
He wrapped his arms around you, and in that moment, you knew nothing could ever separate you again. You’d found your way back to each other, and this time, nothing would pull you apart.

Foxie
Pairing: Embry Call x Fox!F!Reader
Summary: r is a fox shifter, and Embry imprints!
A/N: maybe multiple parts debating on what u guys want or how ts goes.. and sorry i haven’t poster in a while! I went on a little trip to Europe but mow i’m BACKK!!
You’re a fox shifter, and you just moved to Washington. You don’t really have any enemies like the vampires and werwolves, your kind are pretty chill, there isn’t much history behind fox shifters, it just started from religion and happened to be true!
Your fur is exactly like a foxes, bright red with white, and unlike the wolves, you’re a normal size maybe even smaller since you’re still a teenager.
You moved in with one of your close friends, she was a normal person, but she was aware that you’re a shifter, since you two grew up together, and you didn’t know how to keep a secret back then.
You two got an apartment close to La Push, it didn’t seem too bad to live nearby, since there wasn’t many people who lived near here, so the beach wasn’t too crowded on warm, sunny days!
You two’re taking a break from setting things up in the apartment you two share, so you went to this little souvenir shop nearby, just to take a look at what they had to offer.
“GIRL, LOOK!!” Kyara, your friend shout-whispered, pointing to two tall, muscular guys, just fooling around in the shop.
“Girl, there’s no way they’re single, look at them!” You shout-whispered back a bit too loudly, making one of the boys eyes land on yours.
At that moment.. you felt this… pull, to him, who the hell was he?
“Bro! He’s staring right at you!!” Kyara pointed out.
“…sorry.” You choked out, feeling a But embarrassed now that you’ve been caught, the boy just laughed
“All good.”
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
“y/n, you’re smiling like a schoolgirl with a crush right now,” Kyara joker.
“Shut up!! He’s a sweet guy okay, i do really like him..” You said defensively, ever since that day in the souvenir shop, you’ve been talking to Embry a lot lately, always texting and calling.
“Has he asked you out yet?” Kyara asked eagerly.
“Nope.” You said, obviously disappointed, she didn’t want to ask first just in case he was just being nice and only looking for a friend.
“bummer, you ever gonna tell him you’re a shifter?” Kyara asked
“Maybe if we actually get farther than friends.” You sulked, flopping onto the couch, with your phone above your face.
—————————————
You were in your fox form, just trotting through a forest, but then..
You saw a MASSIVE wolf!
“oh! They must be a shifter, too. Wolves usually arent that large.” You thought.
The wolf had gray fur with some black spots, pretty. When you looked into their eyes, you felt that same pull you did when you first met Embry.
You trotted towards the wolf, it was a lot bigger then you, but you didn’t feel scared, you felt safe.
Was this wolf.. Embry?
As the skies got darker, you went off back home, would it be weird to ask him if he was a werwolf?? What if he wasn’t?? What would he think of you then??
Once you got back home, you put some clothes on and hot comfortable, Kyara was out with Embry’s friend, Quil! Silly how you two met Embry and Quil at the same time but they’ve gotten farther than you and Embry, what a shame.
While in thought, your phone buzzed, it was Embry.
Can we talk?
Yea of course.
Meet me at First Beach.
Wait.. in person?? Usually you two talk on the phone. So in person was a bit sudden, but you didn’t mind, it was just Embry after all.
You got to first beach, and soon you saw the one and only, Embry Call.
“Hey, so what’d you wanna talk about?” You asked, curious.
“Are you aware of the Quileute legends?” He asked, thats a such a random question.
“Uhm, not really, no.”
“Oh.”
Was she supposed to know?? She moved here not too long ago, how would she?
“I want you to come to a bonfire this Saturday, you free?” He adked
“Uhh, yeah i believe so, can Kyara come?” There’s no way you could go without your best friend!
“Yeah, that’s fine, me ‘nd Quil will pick you guys up at six.” He said
And then the next day, Saturday, they picked you guys up at six, that was the most chaotic car ride ever!
Soon, they got to the bondfire, it was pretty chaotic already, you met the rest of their little group, they were nice.. for the most part.
And then, Billy, Jacob’s father, was telling the Quileute legends, and everything seemed to click.
You’re Embry’s imprint, he was a shifter, just like you! Well.. maybe a different animal, but definitely a shifter!
Once the “stories” were dine, you turned to your friend
“There’s no way,” you breathed out.
Kyara grabbed your shoulders, shaking you a bit violently.
“THEY’RE SHIFTERS!!” Kyara said, she found this really cool
“Yup- super cool!-“ You said, trying to get kyara to let you go.
Soon, Quil came, dragging her off to talk, leaving you alone.
You were eating a burger when Embry came up to you.
“Here to kidnap me like Quil did Kyara?” You joked, burger still in hand.
“Yup.” He responded, grabbing your habd abd leading you off to a more secluded area in the forest.
“You know i’m a shifter now, right?” Embry asked, looking for confirmation.
You nodded
“And that you’re my imprint.”
You nodded again.
“So.. what’s your decision? Do you wanna be friends.. lovers, want me as your bodyguard?” He asked awkwardly, trying to joke around a little.
“Mmh, well, i mean, i really do like you, Em, i’d love to be your girlfriend, but it’s your final call.” You said
Without a word, Embry brought you into a bear hug, spinning you around. “I was hoping you’r say that.” He said with a smile.
“Question.” you spoke up, and he was all ears.
“Do you know about other shifters?”you asked
“I’ve heard of them, never really seen one before, though, maybe a fox once.” Embry said, he wasnMt sure if you were the fox he saw that day, but he was 99% sure it was you, he’s about to find out.
“Well, that was me!..” you awkwardly giggling, scratching your hair.
“Had a feeling it was,” Embry said, his smile still on his face. “Well, my heart’s all yours, better take care of it, Foxie.” He joked
“Oh you bet i will, Wolfie!”

ALIEN SKINCARE. v! blue lock/male! reader. originally posted on quotev. masterlist.
CHAPTER I. YOU JUST LOVE BEING NOTHING, RIGHT?
Your daily routine is a terribly ordinary, if not a rather dull one.
That’s fine, however. Its normalcy comes from predictability, and with predictability comes a sense of control. Every and each new possible variant is easily molded to fit into what is already established.
Days come and go, much like clouds in the sky, and you’re content. You love your painfully droll, boring routine.
Which would be a lie by definition, so to deny your restlessness would be the same as trying to deny that humans need air to survive. Or to deny that the Japanese football team will never win the World Cup.
But alas, you live.
One of your classmates, Hamada, you think pensively, since you make a passable effort at remembering names of the people you have to spend considerable hours of the day with, is acting rather friendly today.
You think he wants something from you. That’s probably why he’s asking you to go somewhere with him after school. Sadly, it seems he’s unaware of the few universal truths of life.
That is that you’re never free after classes.
Everyone in your immediate vicinity is aware of this, so you’re led to believe that Hamada is extraordinarily out of the loop. Or maybe he’s being a contrarian just to appear unique in your eyes.
Which is not working, by the way.
“Sorry, but I’m busy today.” You say, an apologetical smile creasing your face in a familiar way.
“Oh.” He recoils, losing confidence at your rejection. “Maybe some other day, then?”
Whatever. He should just steal all of your money and fill your shoes with nails at this point. He should spit at you and kick you until you’re a stain on the floor. Unfortunately, you’re [L/n] [Y/n], so you nod. Kindly. With all the positive hidden implications in the world.
Hamada regains some of his previous enthusiasm. Thankfully, the teacher enters the room before he could take your politeness as an invitation to further communication.
Like a good student, you listen and take notes carefully. This teacher in particular talks very slowly and often loses track of his thoughts, which greatly gets on your nerves.
That’s okay. You’ll live.
School time passes by comfortably. You demonstrate your gracefulness and virtue at every chance. Some students swoon. Plenty of girls, and curiously, a good chunk of boys as well. Some scoff at your supposed imitation of perfection. Talk about how you’re probably a faker, eager for attention and praise and whatnot. Not that you mind. They must think about you a lot, enough to start making theories on the topic of you and the nuances of your character.
Not that they'll ever get any confirmation. You let the invested have fun. Do the divine throw bricks at the religious? No.
Your school’s football team is having a game tomorrow. Obviously, you make your way to practice. Though, ultimately, you believe you’d be making a better use of your time by trying to fold a thousand origami cranes with just your feet and then wishing for a better team. Yet, here you are.
You move across the field like a corpse. Metaphorically, of course. To the other’s untrained eye, it looks like you’re giving it your all. However, in your head, you’re trying to to remember at least the first ten digits of pi (you’re failing), so you switch to creating a satirical retelling of some subpar movie you and Bachira watched at the premiere some time ago (you got reasonably angry at the mediocrity of the so-called social commentary that was flaunted around as “never seen before” and “a heart clenching story that dives into the complexities of our society”, and Bachira got bored, so you both ditched it, wasted money be damned).
All that, and yet nothing of worth is happening before you. For shame, since you do think your teammates are decent people, in the same way drivers who stop their cars before they hit you are decent people. Except the probably forty something father of two who let you safely cross the street this morning probably had more ball expertise than these frankly appalling clowns throwing themselves around do.
Of course, you pride yourself on your ever persisting decorum, so you keep your mouth shut as you pass the ball to the guy a bit to your left, since you’re a good teammate and teamwork makes the dreamwork and yadda yadda. Even with your absent minded play, he just needs to push the ball with some semblance of force and boom, it’s a simple and clean goal.
But as if by some otherworldly intervention, the boy trips. Genuinely gets sent sprawling over the central object of the game.
It takes you every drop of self control to not lunge at him with the intent of questioning just how does this happen a day! A day! Before the match. Now, keep in mind, this strange specimen is known for his blunders. At least to you, but the rest of the team and the coach seem to hold this guy in some type of high regard. Which is crazy, since you don’t think he’d be able to score a goal without you specifically holding his hand, making the whole predicament even more baffling since you’re the actual ace of the team.
Now, you think this team could go places, if you had the time to score more, but you have to spend it making sure your companions don’t sabotage the game by playing like it’s their first time seeing a football. You surely have grinded quite a bit of your teeth mass down by pretending to be content with this charade, just so the court jester of a coach wouldn’t call you uncooperative or something similarly humiliating again. God forbid he sends you to meet the bench.
The comically incapable guy turns to you, after all the shock and laughter has faded from the group. “Ah, I’m sorry for ruining your pass, [L/n]-kun. I guess my nerves have been getting to me, haha.”
You wish it was “the nerves”.
“Don’t worry about it.” You respond, channeling every bit of kindness you could find remaining within yourself. “I’m sure you’ll do fine tomorrow.”
Well, he doesn’t do fine, that’s for sure.
The morning of the next day came quickly. As usual, you woke up early, got out of bed, and went through your usual routine with the goal of looking the best you possibly could, which did turn out to be a rather lengthy process, although that was nothing new. You still thought it was an insanely long and dumb.
What meets you next is the sight of your legal guardian, sprawled across the couch, still clad in her work clothes. You conclude that last night was a busy one, so you sneak past her quietly. Making things worse for her is the last thing you want, after all.
Next is making a nutritious breakfast. As a product of meticulous repetition, you’re quickly done with it, making sure to leave a portion for Sayaka as well, along with a note about your plans for today.
It’s a nice, sunny Saturday. So, like you always do, you set out on a morning jog. Chiba has quite a few pleasing sights, especially when there are no hideous eyesores scrambling around in the form of people. You specifically pick a time when the crowd’s minimal, right after the early workers leave for their job. Beautiful. The fresh air stirs up every fiber of your lungs.
All this joy and wonder, you almost forgot about the match that’s supposed to be held in the afternoon. In fact, the memory of that shitshow of a football practice from yesterday almost entirely left your mind. From your increasing frustration, you don’t notice how your pleasant jog turned into a full blown sprint. After a good hour or so of this, you notice just how sweaty you were.
Gross. You’d have to shower again.
Right as you’re about to open the gate of your residence, a weight slams against your back at full force. You remain entirely unbothered, however, as you’re already very well versed in such occurrences.
Bachira Meguru has his arms wrapped around your back, clinging onto you much like an eccentrically colored koala. It seems like the fabric soggy with your sweat doesn’t bother him at all. He’s always been a bit strange like that.
“Bachira-kun.” You smile. It comes easier to you. “Good morning.”
“Good morning!” He grins, lips pulling back to reveal the full expanse of teeth. “You didn’t invite me to go jogging! Again!”
Having a conversation in this position, with your posture being as straight as a tree and Bachira acting as some type of a humanoid backpack or a large parasite, would be inconvenient to most, but the two of you have long made this a part of your “normalcy”.
“That’s because you’re never awake that early.” You retort easily, with a light teasing tone. “I’m surprised you’re even up right now.”
“My monster got restless, so I wanted to play football.” He says, like that’s a totally normal thing to say. Like pointing out how the weather is nice or such.
Listen, you genuinely do like Bachira (as far as someone like you is capable of liking), and you suppose he shares the same sentiment to some degree, because his whole “Monster” thing isn’t something that you talk about with just anyone, unless you want to be wheeled off to the nearest institution and shunned forever. You pride yourself on your patience and understanding, so you tend to brush this topic off whenever it comes up in a conversation. Mostly because you have no idea what to say that wouldn’t be extremely harsh. You want to honor Bachira’s companionship and trust in you, which means that him getting upset over something you stupidly spat out without thinking is not on your to-do list.
You do think that seeing a professional sometime in the future would do him some good, though.
Putting that aside, you nod in understanding. “I see. But-” You poke at his leg. “-Can you get off, please? I want to take a shower.”
Bachira hums a long tune, but he makes no move to do what you’ve requested of him. After a passage of silence, he asks a question, even if he knows the answer already.
“Hey, can we play together? Just for a bit?”
He can’t see your face, but he can clearly visualize the apologetic expression that graces it. It looks the same, every time he asks. “Sorry, but I need to save energy for later. Maybe next time?”
There it is again. Despite it being a few years since you two met, both lovers of football and everything football related, you’ve rejected his proposal again and again. You always have an excuse, something about being busy, or not feeling well, or this and that.
Bachira has been resigned to it. Yet, he still repeats the inquiry, like you’ll change your mind someday. Maybe next time? As if that will ever come.
He lets it go, as he always does.
Finally stepping down, he leans onto your side. He’s rather sweaty too, you notice. “Right! You have a match today! Make sure to score lots of goals, ‘kay? I’ll be there to cheer for you!”
Bachira thinks you’re not aware of the fondness you let slip into your gaze. It’s for the best, though, since if you knew you’d probably try to mask it with some form of artificial politeness. He likes you the most when you’re honest, in these small tidbits of time, after all.
“Sure.” You say, simply, as some things are.
The tensions are high before the match. For what reason, you don’t know. The match is purely for practice, although you’re curious on how a low tier school such as Kagayaku High managed to schedule a match against some bigshot from Kanagawa. You’d think they’d consider it a waste of time, but you guess not.
A notification lights up the screen of your phone just as you’re finishing putting your jersey on.
Sayaka
I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to make it to your game!!!! Work is hell today 𖦹 ´ ᯅ ` 𖦹
But I hope your team does well! Do your best ৻( •̀ ᗜ •́ ৻)
You snort at the woman’s usage of kaomojis. It was hard to imagine that she was nearly forty years old. Keeping your eye on the clock, you quickly type a response.
You
Please don’t worry about it!
Take care of yourself!
Sayaka
You’re too nice to me, haha
The breakfast was delicious, by the way! It really made my day O(≧∇≦)O
I’m gonna make us something to eat later, as a celebration and payback! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ
You gnawed at your lip worrieldy. While you truly did appreciate the sentiment, Sayaka’s cooking skills … weren’t something you’d write home about. Her message truly left you worried for the safety of the stove. Before you could try to change her mind (and save the neighborhood from a possible fire), one of your teammates gestures for you to move.
Ah. It’s time.
You
The game is starting, ttyl
The match goes just as well as you thought it would.
The opponent’s defense tears through the clumsy guy like a knife through butter within the first few minutes of the game. They’re not too shabby, you have to admit. But the more you watch them, the more holes ripe for exploatation you notice.
The rush of excitement still evades you, as you circle an opposing player who is attempting to take the ball from you. Your mind is still in its autopilot mode, where you make boring, yet entirely rational plays that have carried your team to where it is now. Move your leg and lean to the right, and when the guy is still thinking of his next move, kick the ball between his legs. A safe and classic nutmeg. After that-
A movement leaves you startled; someone dashes past you with unforseen speed and snatches the football right from your possession. You’re forced to be wide awake, left feeling like a bucket of icy water was thrown over your head.
Huh?
For what seems to be the first time in years, your heartbeat echoes loudly in your ears and shakes your very core.
You gape at the distancing back of the player who had just turned your world around. In bold letters, the name Itoshi acts as a mockery of you. Helpless in your shock, you can do nothing but watch as your newest adversary scores a clean goal into the net, while Kagayaku High’s goalkeeper does nothing.
For once, you don’t blame him.
The clowns of your circus are talking amongst themselves. You think they’re trying to include you as well, but you’re too busy rebooting your brain to care.
You wanted Itoshi gone. An irritation so strong its frightening festers under your skin as you stare, long and hard, at the intruder who had come to ruin everything for you.
But was he truly ruining anything?
When a teammate of yours moves with the ball, you abandon all uniform strategy. This stupid team could go to hell. Both yours and the enemy’s. This game should be just between you and him.
Much to the shock of your team, who had probably gotten too comfortable with your usually passive way of playing, you pick up the pace, with the speed and technique built up through many regular torturous sessions of trying to polish yourself to your extremes.
It’s something you had to do, lest you want to be left in the dust when the real threat appears.
Is Itoshi a real threat?
A wispy smile still hangs from your lips. It looks … out of place, possibly, as it’s no longer a carefully planned tool of deceit.
Astonished shouts of your team as you steal the ball from your own comrade is nothing but background noise.
There he comes. His gaze is glacier cold as he weaves between the humanoid obstacles in his path. Surely, he’s wholy confident in his domination of this match. You wait.
Itoshi moves with clear intent of making you crumble under his might. That won’t do. Who does he think he is? Who does he think you are? Does he think you’re a mere bug, a speck of dust on his road to victory? That doesn’t make sense at all.
“Pass to me!” Someone yells at you, as if you weren’t the damned ace, as if you weren’t the one who gave this shitty team the ability to get off the ground in the first place.
You’re nowhere near the penalty area. The other team’s defense is scattered around, trying to cut off all your routes. Now aware of the possible danger you represent, Itoshi is right by your side, with his eyelash rimmed eyes watching you like he might tear you apart. At least he’s fast on the uptake, you muse, as you almost carelessly roll the ball across the grass.
The angle is terribly narrow, but it’ll do.
Avoiding Itoshi’s attempt at ridding you of the ball, you raise your leg and deliver a swift kick to it, sending it flying in a rather flimsy arc (your brows furrow slightly at that), which manages to slam into the net at a spot left open.
1-1.
You stop and take a long look at the goal. That was a five out of ten. Hell, maybe even four. But it seemed like it was enough to make your current “rival” appear like he wants to explode you with his mind.
That makes you … giddy? Edges of your lips wobble as you attempt to keep your expression under control. Even if you just single handedly destroyed the foundation of your team as well as the way its members saw you, you still had appearances to keep. From the corner of your eye, you spot Bachira watching, with a grin so manic it bordered on deranged.
In the end, you lose the game. And yet, to you, it feels like a victory, sweeter than any other. You managed to keep Itoshi from scoring another goal (well, you didn’t score another one either, but that was fine), and you got the front seat to the slow unraveling of his stoic disposition.
His team manages to secure a victory with their goal. But their ace, visibly pissed, makes his way to you. His tone is biting, befitting of an untouchable beauty such as himself.
“Next time, I’ll crush you.”
And then he leaves. One for dramatics, that’s for sure. Mommy’s little edgelord. Deciding to play along, you wave at his retreating back, signature smile set in place. “If you say so, Itoshi.”
Pointedly ignoring the troupe of mongrels, you collect your belongings and make a swift departure. Of course, nothing is that simple for you, because Bachira is waiting for you outside. Predictably, he lunges at you, but is considerate enough to take note of your possible exhaustion and not jump on your back like he usually does, instead opting to sling an arm around your shoulders.
“That was pretty insane, you know.” He begins, although you note the sharpness of his grin that was unknown to you, up until now. “I never knew you could play like that.”
Then, he goes on to speak more, but you’re already ensnared within your own mind. A familiar thing; anger, ire, all-consuming, starts to ignite your entire being. A combination of many factors give way to its rise, both from Bachira’s subtle and probably unintentional downplaying of your perceived capability, and from … well, everything about the game. Especially Itoshi. What, did they all think you were some insignificant ant? A poser, perhaps? Maybe a-
You pause all thought. Suddenly, your legs feel weak. Not from tiredness, of course not. Embarrassingly, the weight of emotions was always a bigger burden than anything of physical kind.
That was your weakness. A flaw that you needed to demolish.
“Bachira,” you gasp out, voice small and uneven. “Bachira-”
The boy in question tilts his head. “Huh? What is it?”
“Hold me.” You say, just before you collapse.

My Girl || Tom "Iceman" Kazansky
Summary: Request! Hello!! I saw that your requests are open, and was wondering if you could do a beau "cyclone" Simpson or a tom "iceman" Kazansky one shot, where cyclone/iceman are in an established relationship w a doctor and dagger squad/1986 top gun squad find out about the reader?
A/N: This one was so fun to write, although a bit shorter than my normal one shots. It just came so easily. I went with Tom in the Original 1986 version! There’s lots of flipping back and forth between names and callsigns, just a warning!
Pairing: Tom "Iceman" Kazansky x Y/N
Word Count: 3,200+
Once you parked your car in the driveway you took a moment to collect your thoughts. The residency was tough, kicking your ass even. You had opted to go into pediatric surgery which wasn’t for the faint of heart. More often than not things did go your way but today was one of those days where you lost a baby right at the end of the surgery, shattering you. These cases always felt worse than the best cases made you feel happy.
Tom was home you noted. His truck sitting in the driveway next to your much smaller car. He had moved into your condo after three years of dating. Things between the two of you were great. More than great. The both of you understood how demanding each other’s careers were so when you did get time together you loved to just relax with each other. You were rather looking forward to falling asleep on Tom’s shoulder or lap in a few hours.
Walking through the front door you found him sitting on the couch reading through what looked like a manual. Tom had just gotten into Top Gun with his RIO Slider, or as you knew him, Ron. Luckily, Top Gun wasn’t far from where you he was already stationed in San Diego so selfishly you got to have him home for a little while longer. That was the hardest of it all when Tom was deployed on a mission. You knew just how good he was in the air but there was that fear that always sat in the back of your mind when he left. You always just prayed he’d make it home safe. He hadn’t let you down yet.
“Hi baby,” Leaning down you kissed his cheek. Breaking him right of the trance he was in, “Everything okay?”
“Y/N.” He smiled pulling your neck down for an actual kiss, “I’m great sweetheart. Just making sure I’ve got everything before our practical tomorrow. Viper wasn’t happy we shot him down today, so I think he wants to prove a point.”
“Pete giving you any trouble today?” You asked while plopping yourself down next to him. Cuddling into him you took a deep breath finding immense comfort in his scent.
He grinned pulling you right on top of him, throwing the manual off to the side, “Mav’s always giving me trouble. But I don’t want to talk about him. I want to talk about you. How was your day?”
You sighed placing your head onto his chest, “Not good T. Lost an infant. Another five-year-old isn’t doing great either.” You didn’t feel like elaborating. Tom already knew how you felt. Completely and utterly defeated.
Rubbing your head he squeezed you with his other hand, “I’m sorry baby.”
“It’s okay,” You whispered, “Occupational hazard I suppose.”
“Doesn’t make it any easier.” He placed his chin on top of your head, “It’s okay to be sad.”
“I know, you make it easier though.” Mumbling you closed your eyes, listening to the steady rhythm of your boyfriend’s heart. Always finding comfort in him.
“You can’t fall asleep yet sweetheart.” His vibrations of the laughing coming from his chest only soothing you further.
“And why not?” You pouted while still keeping your eyes closed.
He paused, not sure if he wanted to bring up his plan anymore. See, the guys at Top Gun didn’t believe Ice the last time they were all at the Hard Deck. They didn’t believe he had a doctor girlfriend. Ice refused to even look at another woman knowing you were working late that night. Really the only reason he ever went out was if you were stuck at the hospital. He’d much rather spend his nights in with you on the couch watching some dumb show neither of you paid attention to.
Mav and Goose teased that he had no game. Not accepting that he had a girlfriend. Nonetheless one that was literally smarter than all of them combined. Claiming that Ice was far too cold of a person to ever get a girlfriend like that. Let alone keep one for four years. But your Tom was a whole lot different than the Iceman that all the aviators knew.
They really didn’t believe him when he described you. Even a few other aviators had to agree with the pair. Not believing Iceman was emotionally capable of obtaining somebody like you for that amount of time. You sounded way too grounded, smart, and beautiful to be wrapped up in the life of an aviator’s girlfriend. But the two of you made it work. You always made it a point to communicate as much as you could, even when things were tough.
The whole group all about lost it when Ice showed off the engagement ring he carried around with him. He didn’t know when he was going to propose to you, but he wanted to have the ring ready to go for when it felt right. He’d bought it a few months ago, the longer he lived with you the more it reinforced that he knew you were it for him. He saw himself starting a family with you. Being forever happy with you.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to babe.” He kissed the top of your head, “I was thinking we go to the Hard Deck tonight?”
You looked up at him turning your head in confusion. He never invited you to the Hard Deck. Not that you minded, at all. That was his place with the guys. You trusted Tom with your life. Of course, you’d let him have his place, “The Hard Deck?”
“Mhmm,” He rubbed circles on your back, “Maybe you could grab a few drinks, not think about the day?”
“Did you say the Hard Deck?” You asked again, making sure you heard him right.
“Yes.” He smiled, “There something wrong with it?”
You shook your head quickly, “No! I just haven’t been with you before.”
He frowned almost instantly, “Really?”
“Yeah, but it never bothered me. I promise. I know it’s your place.” You gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
“No wonder they don’t believe me.” Tom sighed leaning back into the couch, pulling you right along with him.
Over time you found that Tom’s love language was physical touch and quality time. He always pulled you into him or onto him. He found solace in your touch, loving every single second of it.
“What are you talking about?” You laughed, “You’re confusing me tonight, T.”
He smiled at his favorite nickname, “The guys don’t believe that you exist. That I’m making you up.”
“Ahh, now you’re making some more sense my love.” You giggled, “You want to show them that I exist then?”
He smirked pinching your side, “I want to show you off baby.”
“I’ve got a lot of work to do if you want to show me off.” You sighed feeling the ugliness of the day consuming the way you felt as well.
“Hardly. You’re so beautiful.”
Blushing lightly, you never got tired of the shower of compliments he always gave you, “Shush you cheese.”
“Only for you.” He bopped your nose.
“Let me shower really quick and then we can go.”
“Yeah?” He smiled knowing you would do anything for him, “We don’t have to go if you’re tired and just want to relax.”
You shook your head, “And miss my chance to meet Maverick? The only human whose ever made you angry. Never.” You giggled hopping right off him and running upstairs before he could protest.
You opted for a nice floral sundress. One because it was over a hundred damn degrees in San Diego during the summer and two you had to dress to impress. Tom wanted to show you off and you wanted to try your best. Hopefully you weren’t as awkward as you normally felt you were.
“Baby, you look amazing. As always.” Tom winked pulled you into his side, “I’m so lucky.”
“Always such a mush.” You cooed wrapping an arm around his side.
“What? I can’t fawn over my beautiful girl.”
Blushing you rolled your eyes, “Shush, you know what you’re doing.”
He shrugged, “I love seeing you blush.” Chucking he gave you a squeeze before going to open the door for you. The ride to the Hard Deck was short, you lived close to the base. You didn’t work at the Naval hospital but the civilian one down the road.
Before he let you hop out, he stopped you, “I might act a little different than normal.”
“Like what?” You smiled seeing him so nervous.
“A bit of an asshole.”
Your turn to laugh, “I expected that, Tom. I do pay attention to your stories you know.”
He returned your smile with one of his own, “God, I love you. You know that?”
Nodding your head, you leaned in for a kiss, “I do. I love you to pieces too.”
Breaking the kiss, he quickly got out to open the door for you. Four years later and you never grew tired of his gestures. He always thought of you in everything that he did. How could you not be madly in love with a man like that?
He wrapped his arm around your shoulders pulling you close into him as you both entered the bar. Whether he was staking his claim on you or what you didn’t care, you loved being close to him. You loved it even more when he wasn’t afraid to show it. Who knew a bunch of Naval aviators would push him to do something so wildly out of his comfort zone. Tom at home was lovey and mushy always. Tom in public was sweet but never got too affectionate. Nothing like what he was doing right now.
Tom quickly spotted Slider pulling you along with him. He let you take the seat next to him white he stood behind you.
“I’ll be damned. Is this Y/N really out at the Hard Deck.” Ron put his aviators on top of his head eyeing the pair curiously. You adored Tom’s RIO. You guys often had him over for dinner once you moved in. He was good company and saw the rare soft side that Tom really only reserved for you on occasion.
“Your eyes don’t deceive you, Ronny.” You grinned using your favorite nickname for him. It still felt odd calling him Slider even though that’s exclusively how Tom referred to him as.
Ron looked up towards Ice waiting for his response, “What?” Ice questioned his RIO.
“Mav and Goose get under your skin that bad?”
Tom scoffed, “Hardly. I just wanted to go out with my girl. Is that such a crime?”
Ron smirked up at his friend knowing he was bullshitting him hard. Ever since Ice heard what happened to Cougar with the MIG’s and dropping out of the Navy as a whole pissed him off. Mav took Cougar’s spot. His rightful spot that he worked years for. Of course, he held resentment. Then he met the guy. He had to admit that you were right. There weren’t many people who could agitate Tom, Mav ended up being one.
Tom spotted him just as he was thinking of him sitting across the bar. Smirking Tom decided to lean down and give you a long kiss on the cheek hoping Mav would see before whispering, “Mav, 2 o’clock.” To you.
You looked over in that general direction and had to have spotted the man that seemed to torture your Tom. He looked a little shocked before replacing it was a cocky façade you were sure most aviators wore.
It wasn’t a moment later the man made his way over to where the three of you were.
“Your girl actually exists Ice?” Pete asked Tom but looked at you. He couldn’t seem to take his eyes off you.
Taking a long sip of your cocktail you eyed him up and down, “That’s it?” You looked back up at Tom curiously.
“What hon?” He asked you quizzically. Not having a clue what you were getting at.
“I was just expecting more that’s all.” You smiled sweetly at the man. Ron up and started laughing. Tom’s mouth almost completely dropped, and Pete looked a little pissed.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Pete questioned you with a confused expression garnering his face.
You shrugged, “For such a dominant callsign of Maverick I was just expecting more. That’s all.”
“What are you doing?” Tom whispered in your ear albeit with a small smile forming on his face.
“Pissing him off baby.” You kissed his cheek slowly.
“Why?”
“Because he pisses you off. Fair is fair.” You giggled before grabbing for your cocktail again. You weren’t sure what was coming over you. You weren’t overly attention seeking but when somebody wound up your boyfriend like that you just had to do the same back. Tom protected you fiercely it was your turn to do the same. Even if it was all just in good fun.
Pete stood there confused. You decided to rub salt on the wound, “Would you like a drink or?”
“Are you paying?” He smirked getting his confidence back.
“Ha!” You let out an obnoxious laugh earning the attention of a few more aviators unbeknownst to you, “You wish hot shot. Your boyfriend down there is paying.” You pointed straight to the blonde who was avidly watching what was going down between the group.
You looked up at Tom who looked pleasantly surprised. His girlfriend more than holding her own against the arrogant asshole that drove him mad.
“Goose.” Mav sighed rolling his eyes before darting off to go find him.
You smiled up to your boyfriend feeling the buzz start to take over as you downed your first drink a little too quickly.
“Ice! That’s your girl?” A group of aviators in uniform came over. Turning towards the group you smiled kindly to the trio that made their way over.
“No shit, you actually exist. How do you stand him?”
“Hollywood shut it.” Tom nearly growled stepping closer to your barstool.
“Easily.” You continued after Tom interjected.
“Really?” The one standing next to Hollywood spoke up.
Tom looked like he was going to explode on them if they didn’t back off soon, “Really Wolfman?”
“Just surprising.” He muttered looking away from the gaze that could kill.
“It’s nice to meet you all.” You attempted to break the tension between all the men that happened out of nowhere, “Tom says great things about you all.”
“You too!” Hollywood clapped walking over to you, “Now I need to pick your brain on Iceman over here.”
“No way Hollywood.” Tom laughed blocking him from taking a seat next to you. He had his mask for work for a reason. He had to build up his reputation to be called Iceman, he didn’t want that to be ruined. He was cool calm collected Iceman who never broke in the air. Flew cold as ice. There is no way in hell he’d ever let one of them learn about the other side of himself. The soft side of him. The truer side where he felt his best when he was with you. He knew he was weak for you, but he always knew you were just as weak for him.
Tom never really believed in soul mates before he met you. But when he accidentally ran into you, literally, at the hospital you worked at his heart nearly stopped right then and there. He knocked you flat on your ass, but you were nothing but gracious. You started laughing, likely in embarrassment but it was a better reaction than anger. Tom insisted he buy you a coffee for the trouble and you accepted. You were on hour fourteen of a hell shift and a coffee sounded more than wonderful. From that moment on Tom believed. He was so thankful he literally ran you over.
Little did the two of you know that would kick off the world wind romance you found yourself in, but you couldn’t be more grateful. Tom was everything to you. You quickly fell in love with him, and it terrified you. You were so useed to shitty men and shitty relationships this relationship made you constantly on edge. Waiting on the other shoe to drop. But it never did. Tom just kept treating you better and better the longer you two dated. It was month four that you knew you loved him deeply. Luckily, he told you first which negated any fear you had in the relationship.
“Come on Ice!” Hollywood attempted to pout earning a laugh from Slider and Wolfman.
“Like I said. No fucking way.”
Smiling you loved watching the interaction between all of the aviators. He was different but he was still your Tom. He just threw that mask up to protect himself. You understood. You had to do the same thing at work. Feeling like you had to be a stone-cold bitch many times to prove yourself to your attending because you were a woman. There weren’t many woman surgeons let alone ones that specialized in pediatrics in the 80’s. You were sure that Tom would hardly recognize you at work, an almost heartless version of yourself.
A few more aviators came over seeing a crowd forming around you. Tom viscerally groaned knowing this was likely going to happen. He brought it upon himself but now the guys were picking on him by giving you so much attention. Tom wanted nothing more than to throw you over his shoulder and take you home away from all of them.
“Ice! She’s pretty. How in the hell did you manage that?”
Tom rolled his eyes knowing you heard the comment, “Shut up Merlin.”
Slider started cracking up seeing the irritation grow on his pilot’s face, “Hey Merlin, ever thought it was because he’s amazing in the sack?”
Your face grew bright red at the comment. He surely wasn’t wrong, but you certainly weren’t going to admit it to the now group of pilots that surrounded you and Ron at the bar.
Ice slapped the back of his head, “The hell is wrong with you?”
“Her face is bright red! It must be true!”
You shrugged grabbing your refreshed cocktail instead of answering.
“Oh, shut the hell up Goose!” Tom groaned flipping him off earning a roar of laughter from the Top Gun group.
“I always knew you were a legend man.” Slider commented while winking over at him making sure to dig his hole deeper.
“You’re on my shit list.” Tom tried to keep a straight face before joining in the group laughing at the situation.
For the next few hours, you chatted with random pilots finding the best conversation with Nick Bradshaw. He reminded you of your brother finding an easy casual conversation with him. You still made sure to give Pete a hard time, for the sake of Tom.
Tom pulled you aside when he had enough, “Ready to go home? I want some time with you sweetheart.”
You nodded finding it so attractive he wanted you to himself, “Let’s go.”
He helped you up from your stool waving the crowd of aviators off. The two of you blaming your work for your early departure. One perk of being a doctor is being able to use that as an excuse to leave anything you didn’t want to be at.
“For the record, I’m not only with you because you’re good in bed. But it’s a perk.”
He smirked, “Let’s utilize that perk when we get home, yeah?”
You looped your arm in his, “Hell yeah.”
“That’s my girl.”
@wildellaa I hope you enjoy!

Hi! I know you probably can't answer this till the end of season four or until we're a little further into the season, but could we see the talk between Jonathan and argyle? When they're at that junk yard playing "golf" and Jonathan opens up about college and Nancy and bug . I'm really curious to see more insight on Jonathan's conflicting feelings.
of course !! im actually really excited to dig into some more longer scenes that i had to cut because bug wasnt directly in them <33 welcome to the first directors cut of come home !
words: 1.6k
enjoy <3
“Yes!
A golf ball shatters a car window, the sound ringing through the desert air. Jonathan throws his hands up, cheering, the satisfying sound of glass breaking mellows the dull roar that’s been ringing in his head ever since moving to California.
The sound mellows the roar, and with some help from Argyle’s “special flowers”, the smoke stifles the ache that Jonathan’s bones possess. Yet as the golf ball lands and the silence after the wreckage settles, all that’s left within Jonathan, the very thing he can’t seem to outrun, is his loneliness.
“I don’t know,” he finds himself saying to Argyle. “Part of me expected Nancy to be on that plane… or something.”
Seeing Mike again hadn’t been so bad, Jonathan supposes. The teen has grown a lot since leaving Hawkins, and he knows how much Will and El missed Mike, but Jonathan couldn’t mask the disappointment he felt when Nancy hadn’t been by her brother’s side.
“No Y/N, man?” Argyle swings his club and sends a ball flying, but it misses the junkyard of abandoned cars by miles, and he angrily throws the club. “Shit!”
Jonathan runs a hand through his hair, the familiar feeling of bitterness creeping upon him. “No,” he laughs, harsh. “I didn’t even think she’d consider coming all the way over here, anyways.”
“You never know,” Argyle points his club at him. “You always drone on and on about her, man. Seems like the type of chic to hop on a plane and surprise her man.”
“I’m not her man,” Jonathan rolls his eyes. He’s tried explaining to Argyle a million times who you are and who Nancy is, but after months of explaining and re-explaining, Argyle still believes Jonathan left Hawkins and two girlfriends behind. “Not that it matters, anyways. I just–”
More anger and confusion washes over Jonathan. He doesn’t know how to express the words that perpetually get stuck in his throat. There’s a mix of emotions that swirl within him, always begging for release.
Remorse, because he misses you and Nancy. Guilt, because he hasn’t been honest with either of you in a long time. Confliction, because he can’t do what you want, what Nancy wants. Jonathan can’t do the one thing you and Nancy ask of him, and it’s slowly driving him insane.
“I felt this intense relief when Nancy wasn’t there, when Y/N wasn’t there.” He admits.
Argyle shakes his head. “No, that’s the Purple Palm Tree Delight working its magic, my man. Makes your troubles float away like the seed pods of a dandelion flowing in the wind.”
The mention of dandelions makes Jonathan’s bones ache even more. They’re your favorite flower. At least, they used to be, but it’s been so long since he’s really talked to you, and even longer since he’s laid down in a field with you to listen to music together and stroke each other’s skin.
And then the thought of you sparks memories of last night and how Jonathan had called you, high as he always seems to be these days, and the whispered confusion he felt fall from his lips. His stomach twists, wondering if what he asked you, if his question of what if was too soon, too much, too revealing.
But everything is just so hard between him and Nancy. Exhausting. All her expectations of him, all the hiding Jonathan has to do, the lies he keeps feeding her because he can’t stand the thought of upsetting her, and he’s tired.
And yet he’s hiding the same things from you, though Jonathan knows that eventually you’d forgive him. You always do, and he always forgives you, always accepting the molted parts of the other. Everything is easier with you, and that’s why Jonathan hasn’t called you back. He knows that this time he doesn’t deserve your unyielding understanding of who he is.
The memories of last night are hazy, smoke infested and dull. But he remembers the tears in your voice and thinking how disappointed you’d be in him if you knew all that he was hiding from you.
He isn’t ready to face any of it just yet.
“If I showed you something, you wouldn’t tell anyone, right?” Jonathan asks Argyle, needing to confess his sins to at least someone.
“Who would I tell?” He chuckles, slightly confused. “You’re my only friend, Jonathan.”
Argyle’s words make the taste in Jonathan’s mouth even more bitter. Last spring, Jonathan never thought he’d ever have to say goodbye to you, the only friend he would ever need. Now, it seems he only really has one friend in the world, and somehow that friend isn’t you.
He throws the golf club down and lets Argyle putt another ball as his fingers dig into his flannel pocket. The paper beneath his fingertips is worn, smoothed over by his anxious fingers.
“What’s that?” Argyle looks at the piece of paper being offered to him. Jonathan doesn’t say anything, he just hands it to him.
“It’s an acceptance letter to Lenora Community.”
“That’s where I’m going.” Argyle observes, holding the piece of paper close to his face as he reads its lettering.
Jonathan sighs. “I know.”
“But you’re going to Emerson with Nancy.” Argyle then looks up. “Or was it NYU with Y/N? It’s hard to keep track of your girlfriends, dude.”
“Nancy is my girlfriend, Y/N is my best friend.” Jonathan practically says this through muscle memory now. “And no, I’m not going to either of those schools. They just… don’t know it, yet.”
Argyle blinks a few times, desperately trying to understand what he’s being told. “Hold on a second, what’s going on?”
Everything that’s been building within Jonathan, every phone call he’s lied through his teeth, every soft bee that pierces his skin, ever I love you that Nancy whispers through the phone, it all comes spilling out.
“I-I can’t leave my mom and my brother to… to chase a dream that isn’t mine.”
“You’re dead, man. You’re so dead.”
Jonathan grips at his hair. “What was I supposed to do?”
“Not lie!”
“Not lie?” Jonathan is yelling now, slowly losing grip on reality. “Not lie?”
Argyle waves his hand at him. “Yeah!”
“I-I mean, NYU used to be my dream. Me and Y/N. That was all we used to talk about, but now if I tell her the truth, she’ll be stupidly understanding and wonder why I even lied in the first place and then-then she’d just learn to live without me!”
Jonathan blinks away tears he hadn’t known were coming. “She already is learning to live without me! I can feel her slipping away and it’s all my fault because I’m practically forcing her to forget about me and-and Nancy?” He paces the earth, body thrumming with insecurity. “She’d just throw her dreams out the window to come out here and be with me.”
He swings his club, messy and anxious, needing something to do with his tired hands. “And I… I just can’t take that. This-this huge knot of resentment would build like… like some cancer until eventually she hates me and then before you know it, we’re just like mom and dad and Y/N is gone and-and then I’m divorced and my kids hate me and I can’t call her or Nancy–”
Argyle misses his swing, having stopped listening to Jonathan’s spiral long ago. “Shit!”
He starts whacking his club on the ground and Jonathan joins him, slamming the ground repeatedly, every thud sending a painful jolt up his tendons, but he doesn’t care.
“Yeah!” He screams out, exhausting himself. “It’s all just shit, shit, shit!”
Jonathan throws his arms up in the air again and rests his club between his shoulders. He rests his head against it, aching for your voice and for Nancy’s touch and for the two girls who mean the most to him.
“The cycle never ends,” he exclaims to the sky above. The cycle of your endless forgiveness for Jonathan. The cycle of Nancy’s desire for him to be better, to live a life he deserves. Over and over again all he ever does is let the two of you down.
“Yeah, man. Your nightmare cycle.” Argyle rolls his eyes. “Two hot girls who want what’s best for you. Must be real hellish for you.”
Jonathan glares at him and Argyle raises his hands in surrender. “Alright, I’m sorry, man. So you want it to stop, but what is your approach here? To just force Y/N out of your life and slow-motion break up with Nancy?”
“I…” Embarrassment stings Jonathan’s body. Hearing it from someone else is only more jarring, knowing how pathetic he’s being. “I guess?”
“No, man!” Argyle screams at him. The genuine despair in his voice startles Jonathan. He’s never seen his friend so serious before, which only means how completely fucking stupid he’s being.
“I know!” Jonathan winces. “Okay? I know, but I don’t know what to do!”
“Palm Tree Delight! That’s what you do!”
“Palm Tree Delight?” Jonathan knows that smoking has only made everything worse for him, but the idea of the acrid smoke filling his lungs causes his mouth to water and his body to shiver.
Argyle shoves him towards the van. “Go!”
Jonathan stumbles over his feet, dropping his club to run towards the vehicle. He runs to escape his guilt, to forget how weak you sounded last night and how defeated Nancy sounded during their last phone call. Jonathan runs towards the van and throws his body inside, allowing the pain of the impact to lessen the sting of losing you.

Bobby Nash x teen!reader - always proud of you
Hey can you write a Bobby x reader fic where he is like a father figure for reader. One night at a the station they are both in the kitchen or at the couch and he says that he is proud of her and how far she has come. She is really happy about that especially because her parents aren't proud of her, so she is happy Bobby is. - Anon 💜
You spent a lot of your free time at the station because of your work experience for school, and after that finished you found you enjoyed it there so kept going back.
The 118 loved having you there, and most days after school you could be found sat with them until you had to go home.
Though they did question your constant appearance there, they didn’t push you into talking to them, but Bobby growing concerned for you did.
He knew about everything, he was almost like a dad to you, and he did everything a father was supposed to do with his daughter with you.
You learned so much from him, especially about cooking, and it was your favourite pastime.
Just like now, Bobby was teaching you how to make a lasagna.
“Is it supposed to be this messy?” You asked.
“No (Y/N), but you’re learning so it’s okay, we can clean it up.” He chuckled.
You laughed sheepishly, and carried on stirring the filling that was cooking on the stove.
“How do I know it’s done? Can I burn it?”
“You can burn anything if you try hard enough, but you know it’s done because the mince won’t be pink anymore.”
“Right, right.”
You turned back to the mince, and then you looked at Bobby.
“What if I finish cooking it in the sauce, will it still cook?”
Bobby smiled, handing you a bowl from the side.
“It will, good thinking, then the sauce heads up at the same time. While that’s cooking we can do everything else.”
You nodded and walked over to help him with what he was doing.
“Did you complete your project?”
“Nearly, I’ve just got a few more things to do, but my teacher said he’ll help me in the morning with it.”
Bobby nodded his head, letting you take over from him so he could check on the food currently cooking.
“Are you going to tell me what it’s on yet?”
“Nope, it’s a surprise. I’m going to show you after school.”
You beamed at him and carried on what you were doing.
Bobby began explaining everything he was doing, and he got you to watch.
He did the first half, then got you to do the second half, which was messy, but nothing was perfect, especially when it came to cooking a dish for the first time.
And he reminded you that it was okay, it didn’t have to be perfect, as long as you had fun and things were fully cooked it was okay.
He put it in the oven while you began to clean up the mess you had made.
“How did you get lasagna sheets all over the floor?” He laughed.
“I may have knocked the box over.” You snickered.
Bobby chuckled, grabbing the brush so he could clear it all up.
“We’re you this messy when you were learning to cook Bobby?”
“Oh I was far worse, there was always food everywhere.”
You looked at him before going back to washing the dishes.
“I don’t believe you.”
“It’s true, food everywhere, on the floor, counters, all over.”
“You’re lying.”
“I would never.”
Bobby gentle moved you aside so he could take over, and you began to dry the dishes so they could go straight away.
When you were done, you sat at the table so you could do some homework, and Bobby made you a hot chocolate.
“Bobby I don’t understand this.”
“Let’s have a look.”
Walking over, he sat next to you, going through the question step by step so you understood and watched as you figured it out.
“That’s it, good job.”
“Thank you.” You smiled.
He smiled at you, placing his hand on your head, ruffling your hair as he got up.
“I’m proud of you.”
You stared at him in shock.
“You are?”
Bobby closed the oven and turned to you.
“Of course I am, you’re doing so amazing at everything and you’re giving it your all, you should be proud of yourself, because I know I for one am proud of you.”
You beamed from ear to ear at him.
“Can I hug you?”
“Of course you can, come here kiddo.”
You jumped up, running over to hug him.
You hadn’t really had anybody say they were proud of you, so to hear it from Bobby, a man who had taken over a father figure role for you meant so much.
Bobby smiled at you, gently patting your back as you hugged him tightly.
He was so proud if you, and he was sure that if you were his daughter he would tell you that every single day

“I’m very confused,” you said, sitting on Quynh’s front paw and gazing up at her beseechingly. “I need your help, Quynh.”
“I was questioning why you stayed here with me instead of running off to that tea shop you love so much,” she said, inclining her nose towards you. “What is the matter?”
“It’s about the tea shop,” you said. “Or, specifically, a certain employee.”
“That boy you met? Lee?” she said. Her muzzle wrinkled, though it was with concern, not anger. “Has he done something wrong to you?”
“No, not at all,” you said. “Well. Maybe a little bit, but he’s not quite aware that he’s done anything. And then there’s the whole problem with the Blue Spirit…”
“Your mysterious savior? What is his relation to the situation?” she said. “Dearest Y/N, you must explain at once before I am irreversibly angered.”
“Lee makes me feel bizarre!” you said, throwing your hands in the air. Quynh blinked at you.
“Makes you feel bizarre?” she said.
“Yes,” you said. “Incredibly so.”
There was really no other adjective for what it was. It was unprecedented, the kind of emotion you had never felt before, not for anyone – bar the Blue Spirit, but it was different even then. Of the same foundation, but taking a different form.
“You’ll have to explain a little more,” she said.
“It’s like my stomach is in knots,” you said. “And as if my heart has turned to a bird and is fluttering its wings about! What is this power that he has, that he can send my body into fits? But, for all that, I still want to be around him. It matters not what we are doing; as long as he is there, I am happy. Yet how can I be happy? He is driving me to failure! Why, for all I know, he really might bring about my death!”
For a moment, Quynh was silent, and then her body began to rumble. You were vindicated for a bit, thinking that she was growling with protective instinct, but your temporary satisfaction immediately vanished when you realized she was laughing.
“For a girl who spends so much time reading about so many different topics, you know so little of the world,” she said. “Though then again, this is the kind of thing that you have to experience to understand.”
“What are you talking about?” you said.
“He doesn’t have any special powers, and you aren’t going to die,” she said. “If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say you like him.”
Your mind blanked. The thought of you liking Lee was utterly preposterous. Lee, the snarky tea server? Lee, the passionate super-fan of The Mask of the Blue Spirit? Lee, who’d just as soon say something rude as he would something kind? If Quynh was to be believed, then that Lee was someone you liked, but that just wasn’t right.
“No way!” you said. “I can’t have feelings for Lee.”
“Why not?” Quynh said.
“He’s Lee!” you said helplessly. “It’s just — it’s just not how things are supposed to go.”
“Then how are things supposed to go?” she said. “Why is there a certain way that it must all happen? Things are rarely if ever set in stone, even in a kingdom made up of Earthbenders.”
“The Blue Spirit,” you said. “It’s supposed to be him. He’s the one who’s saved me, the one who knows the truth of my bending and my identity. He’s the one I’m meant to like.”
“You told him you’re a bender?” Quynh said. “That’s a new development. I thought you didn’t want to tell anyone.”
“It’s that there was no one I could trust to tell,” you said. “Until him. If a man has saved your life twice, then you can expect that he will do so a third time as well, right? So I did not feel afraid in revealing that part of me to him. I’d reveal anything to him if he asked.”
“Then there is a conundrum,” Quynh said.
“Exactly. That’s why I can’t like Lee,” you said. “It’s the Blue Spirit. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the person you foresaw me finding.”
“Hm,” Quynh said. “Do you think so?”
“I don’t know,” you said. “Lee reminds me that I am more than just a princess. I can live a different kind of life when I am with him — a happier kind. But the fact is that I am a princess, and the Blue Spirit shows me what that genuinely means. The reality of the world beyond the palace walls…if it were not for him, I’d still be blind to it all.”
Quynh sighed. “It’s not like you know who the Blue Spirit is.”
“No matter who he is underneath the mask, he’ll always be the Blue Spirit. He’ll always be the person who saved me,” you said, and then you slapped your hand over your mouth. “Uh-oh.”
“Uh-oh?” Quynh parroted. “Why are you saying that?”
“I just — I just accidentally quoted Jin!” you said. Quynh, who, being a bear spirit, was not exactly well-read, huffed at you.
“Am I meant to know who Jin is?” she said.
“She’s a character in The Mask of the Blue Spirit,” you said.
“Okay,” she said.
“That line is a part of the ending I detest! Have I become such a shallow person that I bear a resemblance to her of all characters? What will Lee think? It’s our greatest point of contention, that we do not agree on the ending, but if I’ve gone and adopted her worldview, then that means I do subconsciously like it!” you wailed.
Once more, Quynh began to laugh, nudging you and knocking you over, though she caught you in her other paw before you could hit the ground. Putting you back in your comfortable spot nestled against her fur, she continued to chuckle as she spoke.
“Quoting a single line does not mean you agree with everything a character has done,” she said. “And what does it matter to you what Lee thinks?”
“It just does,” you said. “It really matters to me.”
“Princess, I think that your dilemma is not a dilemma at all,” she said.
“Huh? Yes, it is!” you said.
“It’s not,” she said. “If you search within yourself, you will know the truth. Even in just this conversation, even without seeking it out, I have found it. And no one can know your heart better than you, so there is no reason that you cannot do the same.”
“I’ve been searching! But no answer has made itself apparent,” you said.
“Keep looking,” she said. “One day, it will. Until then, you needn’t decide anything. No one is forcing your hand.”
That was true. It wasn’t as if you were being threatened into a decision, into an acknowledgment. If your feelings really were the kind that Quynh was suggesting, then things would be spoiled, so you vowed to push them aside for now and focus on other, more pressing matters.
“That’s not the only subject that I have been mulling over recently. Quynh, do you think I would have made a better queen than Kuei is king?” you said. Her ears pricked, and her voice took on an alarmed cast when she responded.
“I know you don’t mean to be seditious, but the implication is there,” she said.
“Maybe it is seditious, but I still want your answer. The Earth Kingdom was built on your back; you’ve witnessed every monarch’s reign, every king’s rise and fall, every war and each bloody moment in the land’s history. No one would know better than you if I made the right decision all of those years ago,” you said.
“It’s not so simple,” she said. “Every king has inherited a different world than their predecessors. Some anre easier times than others, but all have their variances. Kuei is not a bad king, believe it or not. He is an uneducated one, an ignorant one, perhaps even an inept one, but he is not a bad one. He was one born to rule over a world at peace, one born to mature slowly and reign in old age, and he was given none of those considerations.”
“What about me?” you said.
“You are a princess who wants to love her people very much,” she said. “There’s always a place for that kind of royalty. However, there’s no saying what kind of ruler you would’ve been; the likelihood is that you would’ve been the same as your brother. Children are not meant to rule, dear girl. Remember it well; a boy should not be king any more than a crook should.”
You swallowed. “If only our father were still here. Things would be better.”
The father who you had never met, yet whose absence you mourned daily anew. If he were still alive, then would Ba Sing Se be as troubled as it had become under your brother’s command? You tried to imagine what kind of a man he would be. The 51st Earth King…you had read the stories and the songs until you had memorized them, but they were flimsy replacements for knowing him, for loving him.
You envied Kuei in that sense. He had met your parents. He had loved your parents and been loved by them in return. Neither of them had even known you long enough to love you. Were it not for Quynh and Kuei, you wouldn’t have been loved by anyone at all.
“They would be,” Quynh said. “But your father is gone, Y/N, and you cannot change the past. For better or for worse, your brother is the king.”
“Ba Sing Se is falling apart,” you said. “The great capital that you and Shan built is crumbling under Kuei’s control. The worst part is that he does not even know it, and he would not believe me if I told him! Isn’t it a sad twist? That I am the one with the knowledge but not the power, and he is the one who knows nothing yet has everything!”
“You are still a princess,” Quynh said. “Not a king nor a queen, but you are still the second-most powerful person in this kingdom. You are not as helpless as you are determined to believe yourself.”
“What can I do?” you said.
She angled her paw so that you slid off of it and onto your feet, and then she curled back up in her usual position. A door opened, one that must’ve led to Ba Sing Se, and she let out a gravelly exhale.
“If there is a problem, then you must understand it,” she said. “Only then can you begin to fix it. Do you understand what is happening in the city at present? In your own palace?”
“Not really,” you said. “Do you?”
“I do, but I also do not,” she said. “It’s an internal knowledge that I cannot explain to anyone else, but I am aware of it. Like an itch on my back which I cannot reach.”
“Spirit nonsense,” you said. “No matter. You’re right; even if Lee cannot tell me, there must be some way I can suss things out.”
“It’s a large city,” Quynh agreed. “There will be someone willing to help you. You only need to find them. As you found the Blue Spirit. As you found Lee.”
“Do you think I can?” you said.
“I think you can do a lot more than you are aware of,” she said. “You remind me of someone else. Someone I knew a very long time ago.”
“One of my ancestors?” you said.
“My own brother,” she said. “It has been ages upon ages since I saw him last. I thought that I could not quite recall his face anymore, but then I saw yours, and I knew that it had to be the same. I knew that he had come to be at my side again, however briefly.”
Her brother — Shan. The founder of the Earth Kingdom, who had against all odds taken a continent at war and turned it into a single nation that was united and powerful beyond even the wildest dreams of his contemporaries. What kind of equivalency was that? Who would think to compare you with the legendary first king?
You thought that Quynh’s passageway would lead you to the tea shop, as it usually did, but instead it spit you out in front of a building far too elegant to be in the Lower Ring. That meant you must’ve been in the Upper Ring, where the wealthier residents of Ba Sing Se stayed.
“Why am I here?” you muttered. Reading the sign hung above the door, you saw that the building was a girls’ poetry house. When you strained your ears, you heard the dulcet tones of recited haikus being whispered back and forth, though an unexpected addition made you pause. “That’s an awfully masculine sounding girl…”
All of a sudden, the door slammed open, and a man in a security uniform tossed out a boy clad in blue. Your eyes widened as he came flying at you, knocking you to the floor beneath him with the force of the guard’s throw.
“Aw, man,” the boy groaned. “I was just trying to show my appreciation for poetry — woah! When did you get here?”
His eyes were a bright, clear blue, though it was not the dark shade of the Blue Spirit’s mask, but rather a luminous, glittering color that pierced straight through you. For a moment, you thought that he must’ve known your every secret and intimacy — such was the depth of his gaze. But it only lasted for a moment, after which you remembered that there was no way he could’ve come to know it all just by looking at you.
“I was just passing by, and then that boorish security threw you at me!” you said. The boy leapt to his feet and offered you his hand, pulling you up when you took it and giving you a wide grin in return.
“It’s nice to meet you,” he said, shaking the hand he had already captured in his own vigorously. “I’m Sokka!”
“Y/N,” you said. He narrowed his eyes at you, leaning closer and scrutinizing you, an ordeal for which you stayed entirely still. Only when he was finally satisfied did he straighten, though he was still frowning slightly.
“That name is mighty familiar,” he said. “Have we met or something? I feel like I know you.”
“I…used to be in the circus?” you said, silently apologizing to Lee and Mushi for stealing their personal backgrounds for your cover story. “A very well-regarded one. I was, um, famous. For my acrobatics. That’s probably where you recognize me from.”
You hoped Mushi wouldn’t be upset that you had just appropriated his identity. It was the only one you could think of without the time to prepare in advance, and even then only because it was on your mind due to how absurd you had found it when Lee had mentioned it.
“We haven’t visited any circuses on our trip,” Sokka said. “So that can’t be it.”
“I’m a household name!” you said. “The main attractions tend to be, you know. Everyone across the Earth Kingdom knows who I am.”
This was actually not a lie. It would be difficult to find a single family who had not at least heard of you, but it wasn’t because of your nonexistent acrobatic prowess. Either way, it must have been convincing enough, as Sokka just shrugged it off.
“If you say so,” he said. “Can you do a cartwheel?”
“Not in a dress, I can’t,” you said. “Don’t be foolish. How would I possibly maneuver my limbs in that way with all of this fabric obstructing me?”
“Aw, I was really hoping you could show me how it’s done! I’ve always wanted to learn how to cartwheel,” Sokka said as the two of you began to walk away from the poetry house. He swung his arms by his sides as he walked, with a lackadaisical looseness you had never observed so closely before. Even Lee, Mushi, and the Blue Spirit had neat, contained manners to their gaits, each movement done with purpose, but Sokka was haphazard and almost unwieldy in his grace.
“If I were wearing pants, I might be able to demonstrate, but as it is, you’ll have to find another teacher,” you said.
“Wait! I have the best idea ever!” Sokka said. “You’re going to love this.”
You weren’t sure what you were expecting when he said that, but whatever it had been, it was not this. It did not come as a surprise that you did not love it; in fact, you were more befuddled than anything.
Sokka’s clothes did not by any means fit you properly, and the same could be said for your dress on his frame. He did not seem to mind, though, giving you a double-thumbs-up when he emerged from behind the wall where he had changed.
“You look great!” he said.
“I don’t know that I can say the same about you, but in the interest of being polite, I should like to tell you that you appear radiant at the moment,” you said.
“Why’re you speaking like you’re about to give a speech or something? Seriously, you Upper Ring folk are so weird,” he said.
“Aren’t you also one of the Upper Ring folk?” you said. “Considering I’ve met you here, you must be.”
“Nah, I’m just a visitor,” he said.
“But a very important one. Not everyone is lodged in the Upper Ring,” you said. Sokka blushed and waved you off.
“I know a guy or two,” he said. “No biggie, just another day in the life. But enough talking! Let’s get to cartwheeling. This is a moment I’ve dreamed of for a long time!”
“I hope you’ve been dreaming of being disappointed for equally as long,” you said.
“What’d you say?” he said.
“Nothing,” you said.
“Then what are we waiting for?” he said. “Show me how it’s done!”
There was a problem: you had no idea how to do a cartwheel. If only it were Mushi in your place! According to Lee, he was supremely flexible, and he had his circus training. As well, his patient and kind demeanor meant that he would be uniquely suited to being Sokka’s cartwheeling mentor. At any rate, he’d be better than you at the job, though that wasn’t really a high bar.
“Here goes nothing,” you said, taking a deep breath and raising your arms over your head. Trying to emulate what you had heard about the movement, you took a step forward and tried to push off with your back leg.
Somehow, it happened that your slipper came flying off, smacking Sokka in the face as you lost your balance and landed in a heap on the cobblestones of the street. Sokka shrieked as he, too, was knocked over, though through the dim awareness you had of the situation, you could not quite discern how a mere shoe had been enough to warrant that much of a reaction.
“I think you’re bad luck,” he said, rubbing his head. “No wonder you left the circus. I can’t believe they kept you around for as long as they did!”
“I’m out of practice,” you said, accepting the shoe he passed you and putting it back on. “Could I have my clothes back, perhaps? Or have you taken a liking to them? Because I do not think you wear green as well as I do.”
“Hey!”
Once you and he were back in your regular clothes, you readied yourself to wish Sokka farewell. You weren’t really sure what he was doing or why he was in the Upper Ring, but you thought it was safe to say that he was not the person Quynh was talking about, the one who would be willing to help you in solving the problems of your kingdom.
“I still can’t shake the feeling that you remind me of someone,” Sokka said.
“Do you have any siblings?” you said.
“A younger sister,” he said.
“It’s probably her. I’m a younger sister, too,” you said. “If you’re not an avid circus-goer, then that’s the only other option I can come up with.”
“That’s another thing! I’ve never heard of circus performers speaking so fancily,” he said.
“You said it yourself that you haven’t visited any circuses on your trip, so how would you know?” you said. “It’s a shame that you have these stereotypes in your head. You should do some introspection about where they originate from.”
“What — no, I’m not — that’s not what I meant! There’s just something about you that I’m this close to figuring out!” he said, holding up his thumb and pointer finger, pressing them together for effect.
“You’re not getting paid for it, so why waste the effort?” you said.
“I’m just a curious — duck!” he said.
“Duck? Do you mean a turtleduck? That’s an interesting way to describe yourself — oh!” you said as he pulled you to the ground and out of the way of an incoming boulder.
“Whose bad side did you get on, huh?” Sokka said, motioning for you to run along with him. It was nothing like when you and the Blue Spirit had fled from the assassin’s previous attack; you didn’t have that implicit trust in Sokka to protect you, and for his part, Sokka was just as panicked as you were, so all told it was a much less graceful exit as you charged through the streets of the Upper Ring.
“A bunch of assassins!” you said. “They’ve been chasing me on and off for weeks now.”
“Assassins?” Sokka wheezed out as you increased your pace. “Just what kind of acrobat were you?”
“One that made a lot of enemies — look out!” you said, jumping into the air to avoid the stone gloves that reached for your ankles. Missing their target, they slammed into the wall and burst into smithereens.
“We’re almost at our guest house!” Sokka said. “The others should be able to help us if we haven’t lost these freaks by then. We just have to reach there before getting, y’know, crushed!”
“That’d be ideal!” you said, covering your head with your hands as you rounded a corner. Sokka kicked the door to a luxurious villa down, shoving you in and then slamming it shut behind him, pressing his back to it as the three occupants of the home gave you both alarmed looks.
“Assassins — rocks — cartwheel instructor!” Sokka said, heaving for breath and pointing at you. You waved at the trio, who must’ve been the friends that Sokka was visiting Ba Sing Se with.
One was a beautiful girl who bore an uncanny resemblance to Sokka — indubitably, this was his sister, though unlike Sokka, her eyes swirled with something lively and unsettled, as if they were twin seas set in her sweet face. Beside her was another girl, this one with fine features like a lady but a rough aura like a wrestler, and on her right was a boy with the blue arrows of an Airbending master running along his body.
“You’re going to have to repeat that,” Sokka’s sister said. “What’s going on? Who is this?”
“My cartwheeling instructor,” Sokka said.
“In a manner of speaking,” you said. “I didn’t really teach him much.”
“You know how to cartwheel? I love cartwheeling!” the Airbender said.
“Why didn’t Sokka ask you to teach him, then?” you said. The boy shrugged.
“Dunno,” he said.
“We were in the middle of a lesson—” Sokka began.
“As I recall, we were about to part ways,” you interrupted. Sokka shushed you impatiently.
“Like I was saying, we were in the middle of a lesson when, out of nowhere, pow! There was a boulder flying at our heads, and then boom! We almost died from it!” he said. You decided to just be quiet and let him tell the story; he had a flair for dramatics that you could not hope to match.
“What? Why?” his sister said.
“No idea! She said that she’s been being chased by those assassins for a while now!” Sokka said.
“Did you bring a criminal into our house?” his sister said, arching a brow at you. “Are you a criminal?”
“Not as far as I know,” you said. “I suppose I’m not really meant to be out here, but it’s not against any significant law for me to be. It’s just a family rule I’ve broken.”
“You said that they’re assassins?” the younger of the two girls said. “There’s no way. I didn’t sense anyone coming near us except for you two and some of the Dai Li agents.”
“They must be super sneaky!” Sokka said. “Right, Y/N?”
“Hm, it might be,” you said, lost in thought at this suggestion. Though you had no idea what she meant when she said she had sensed the Dai Li’s presence, you also had no reason to think that the girl was lying. There were two things that that could mean if what she said was correct, and neither of them were options you wanted to be true.
“Sokka,” his sister said. It was then that you realized that she, the Airbender, and the other girl were staring at you. “What did you just call your new friend?”
“You’re right! I can’t believe I forgot to do introductions! Y/N, this is Aang, Toph, and my sister Katara. Everyone, this is Y/N,” Sokka said, pointing at everyone as he said their names.
“Hello,” you said. “It’s lovely to meet you all.”
“Sokka!” Katara said. “You dumb, idiotic genius! We’ve been trying to talk to the king for ages, and you just happened to meet his sister while out and about!”
“That’s where I knew your name from!” Sokka said. “Princess Y/N, duh. Wait! You’re Princess Y/N!”
“Um,” you said, swearing internally at the fact that you had not thought to come up with a new name to go along with your alter ego as an acrobat. “No, I’m not.”
“She’s lying,” Toph said. “I have seismic sense, so you can forget about trying to make things up, princess. I’ll be able to tell in an instant.”
“You don’t know how good it is to meet you!” Aang said. “We’ve been trying to talk to your brother for a while now, but it’s not been going well.”
“Why would you want to talk to Kuei?” you said before you could stop yourself, rolling your eyes at the mere thought of anyone actually desiring to speak with him. “He’s not the most stimulating conversationalist.”
“You’re Princess Y/N!” Sokka said again. “You’re the princess of the Earth Kingdom, and I made you wear my clothes and do cartwheels!”
“When you put it like that, it does sound like a grave offense,” you said. “Shall I have you executed for it?”
“No!” he said, falling to his knees and bowing. “Oh esteemed, valued, generous, kind, benevolent princess, please spare my life! Please please please please please please—”
“I was only joking,” you informed him.
“We have to speak to the Earth King,” Aang said. “Do you think you could get us an audience? It’s urgent. If it helps, tell him the Avatar is the one making the request.”
“You’re the Avatar?” you said. Aang nodded at you, his expression grave and at odds with his youthful countenance. “For some reason, I thought you’d be older.”
“He’s technically 112 years old,” Sokka piped up from where he was now supine on the floor by your feet. “So there’s that.”
“I see,” you said. “You look good for your age, then. My apologies for making assumptions.”
“It’s complicated,” Aang said. “Do you think you can help us, though?”
“We’re kind of at our wits’ ends,” Katara added.
“Those Earth Palace dolts are the next level of stupid,” Toph said. “It’s all a bunch of bureaucracy and rules. Blech.”
“I can’t guarantee it,” you said. “I’m sorry. I’m not even allowed to be here right now. You see, I’m forbidden to leave my chambers. It’s only through the power of a spirit named Quynh that I may enter and exit without detection — though, I’m beginning to doubt how true that part is, but that’s an issue for me to work through on my own time. I’ll do my best to help you all while I’m at it, but for the most part, my hands are tied.”
“Okay,” Katara said when it became obvious that the others were too disappointed to come up with a response. “There’s nothing more we can ask of you. Just — it’s really urgent. You have to mean it when you say you’ll do your best.”
“I do mean it,” you said. “But in case, is there any other message you’d like me to pass along?”
“There is a war,” Aang said. “He has to ignore everything that he’s been told and realize that. There’s a war going on, and without his support, we’re going to lose it.”
A war. Of course. It made so much sense. The refugees. The injuries. The state of Ba Sing Se. It all pointed towards a distant yet rapidly encroaching conflict. That was the problem. That was what you needed to understand, or at least begin with understanding — there were other things that the Avatar and his friends had accidentally or purposefully revealed, smaller details that you would pick at and dissect until their natural conclusions, but this was the main point.
Not yet, though. These were things best done in the harsh, inescapable brightness of day, and tonight’s twilight was already waning. Soon, it would be time for the daily lighting of the Firelight Fountain’s lanterns, and there was something else you wanted to do before that.
Blending into crowds when you could, creeping past checkpoints and keeping your head lowered to avoid detection, you snuck into the Lower Ring, making your way towards a certain place, Quynh’s words coming to mind all of a sudden.
He would be starting his evening shift soon. You could picture him putting his apron on, rolling up his sleeves and complaining to his uncle about how much he hated his job and how they deserved to be somewhere else — the circus, perhaps? You weren’t sure, for he never really elaborated, but that was because the alternative location was not as important as the dissatisfaction he felt.
Despite your best efforts to quash it for fear of looking like a fool — what normal person was so excited by the prospect of apologizing to the dourest boy born to humanity? — a smile formed on your face as you began to walk faster, towards the tea shop where you knew Lee would be waiting.

Ahhh i dont really know how Tumblr works (this is my first time requesting someone) but i see that ur request was open
i want to request an academic rivalry trope hcs with riddle or Azul or both (bcs i absolutely LOVE the way u write them 😞 it makes me giggle)
Thank u in advance and have a great day or night (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)
SUMMARY: Riddle & Azul with an academic rival!!
WARNINGS: None!!
COMMENTS: omg i love you for this!!! this is one of my favorite tropes ever and these two are so emotionally constipated they wouldn't know what to do with themselves. i hope you have a lovely day too anon <33 and im so glad you like how i write them hehe azul is the loml so it means a lot when people say that!!
Riddle doesn’t know what to do about you. He feels so incredibly frustrated every single time you score higher than him on a test because he should be better. How can he pride himself in being Heartslabyul’s Housewarden if he can’t even be at the top of his class?
So what does he do with that frustration? He studies harder and harder because clearly he isn’t trying hard enough. His health deteriorated, and if it wasn’t for Trey, Riddle would be even more of a wreck.
Then he finally does it. All of that work culminates into Riddle finally scoring a point higher than you on his Magical History exam. He stares at the board smugly, really admiring his name above yours (which is how it should be, in his mind.)
You approach the board too, and he expects you to say something about how you’ll score higher than him next time or how you can’t believe he’s finally beaten you, but instead, you nod cheerfully and walk away.
You just walk away. You don't even look at him. You’re satisfied with yourself?! Riddle feels rage bubbling up in his chest, and he almost screams at you right there and then in the hallway. What is wrong with you?!
It doesn’t help matters when Crewel assigns a huge project that's to be completed by two people, and places you and Riddle together. He’s so hell-bent on avoiding you the entire time, even when your face grows annoyed at his inability to cooperate.
“This project is a long one, you know.” you tell him one day, staring daggers into the side of his skull, “It takes six months to complete. If you want to get a good grade you’ve got to lay down your pride and talk to me. I’m not put up with this for half a year.”
Riddle hates that you’re right. He hates it so much because he’s always supposed to be the sensible one. He’s studied the rules over and over and yet you stump him. You make him wrong.
Is he wrong to resent you for that? Is it wrong to want to destroy your pride? Is it wrong to hate that you seemingly get everything you’ve ever wanted so easily while he’s worked hard for it?
Is it wrong that he wants to cooperate so hard and so efficiently with you that you take back everything you said to him?
Azul wants to get you in his debt so BADLY. He isn’t at the very top of his class, no. That title belongs to Riddle, who has refused his offers for a contract time and time again. Maybe there’s something you want, though.
He will find it. He will examine you every day and pick apart every insecurity and moment of sadness. That smart little brain of yours may be good for tests, but when it comes to manipulation, you have nothing on Azul.
It’s a small comfort if nothing else. You may have the entire school wrapped around your finger and the Leech twins might be fascinated with you, but that doesn’t matter.
Well, it doesn’t matter until you show up at the Lounge of your own volition. Azul is shocked when he hears the twins call your name, and you enter his VIP Room looking far too calm.
Floyd almost hacks up a laugh from laughing too hard when you ask for tutoring. Azul is baffled as Jade snickers, wondering why the person who outscores Azul continuously would ask him for tutoring.
But this is his chance. And so he writes up a contract, asking for something vague because he doesn’t know what he’ll need from you yet but he’s certain you’ll come in handy in the future and suddenly—
You wrinkle your nose and hand the contract back to him, pointing at one of the conditions. “I don’t like that one. Change it.” you say, and Floyd starts cackling again because no one has ever read them that closely.
It’s a condition that states you will come to the Lounge whenever Azul summons you. It’s vague enough that the signer may not realize he truly means whenever, but outlined enough to make them assume that it only applies to the time frame in which the main part of the contract is in effect.
It’s sneaky, and you caught it. Azul’s eyebrow twitches as he stares at you, forcing a smile on his features. Why, of course he can change that for you! What would you like it to say instead? You should know that he’s on home turf right now, and he never loses in the comfort of his VIP Room.

Shrink
Astarion x Y/N - Drabble - 800 WC
Masterlist
Warnings: I AM NOT A THERAPIST TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE TO SAY WITH A GRAIN OF FUCKING SALT, therapy, trauma, analysis, isekai, flufffffffffffffffff
------------------------------
“What did you say your job was?” Astarion asked as he looked at you from across the tent.
“I’m a therapist… or I was at least.” you smiled at him and shrugged.
“And what exactly do you do?” he asked, looking up from his book.
“I listen to people tell me about their lives and help them navigate their feelings and/or trauma, learn coping skills… all sorts of stuff.” you said as you played with sparks between your fingers, entertaining yourself.
“So you listen to people whinge?” he said, raising an eyebrow at you, an unimpressed look on his face.
“Not exactly. People certainly did complain to me about stuff, but the point of therapy is to heal.” you said, smiling softly at him.
“And you think people can do all that through talking?” he asked.
“Absolutely. Talking is how you get everything out. Action comes second.” you nodded at him.
“So what can you tell me about me, mighty therapist?” you could see the mischievous glint in his eye but you also saw a genuine, almost nervous look.
“You really want me to “shrink” you?” you asked him, letting the sparks dissipate from your hands, scooching closer to him.
He nodded at you with a small smirk.
“Alright… well… you are a deeply mistrusting person, you see everyone around you as a threat, and I think deep down you are scared and in pain and just want to be loved and cherished and protected. I won’t try to completely define you or your experiences because I have only scratched the surface of 200 years of your life… but I look forward to being with you and helping you when you want me to.” you struggled to get your answer out, not wanting to overwhelm him or get too deep without properly analyzing him.
Astarion hummed at you, leaning in to kiss you. You kissed him back before leaning back, eyes wide. You looked at him with a bit of confusion, most people not exactly loving when they are mentally looked over at a moment's notice. You searched his eyes for any sign of discomfort, yet found none.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to offend in any way…” you said, quickly trying to cover yourself and your words.
“Darling, if I didn’t want to hear it, I wouldn’t have asked.” he smiled at you, gently caressing your cheek.
You nodded, kissing his palm. “So… what do people usually tell you during therapy?” he asked, pulling you into him so you laid together. He played with your hair as you played with your sparks again.
“Whatever they want, it is a judgment free zone.” you shrugged.
“Everyone must be in therapy,” Astarion said “it sounds like something everyone could use.”
You laughed rather loudly, Astarion looked down at you with confusion. “Sorry love… it’s just… not everyone believes therapy to be helpful. And for them it may not be, but a lot of people just don’t give it a chance.” you tried to explain.
Astarion let out a hum, “Did you like your job?”
You smiled “It was rewarding, but also had its not so great moments… like every job I suppose.”
“Did you work hard to become a therapist?” he asked, trying to gauge the schooling you received to do such a fascinating job.
“I went to university for eight years getting multiple different degrees and licenses so yeah… I worked pretty hard.” you chuckled, remembering all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into your life's work.
Astarion stole a spark from your hand, making it dance between his fingers before it fizzled out. “Do you miss it?” he whispered.
“I have a new job now.” you said quickly.
“What's that?” Astarion asked as he continued to steal your sparks.
“Adventure! Slay enemies, eat cake, love, lust, cry, celebrate…. All of it. And best of all, I get to be with you while I do it. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.” you said as you leaned up and kissed him, wiping out any and all negativity in Astarion.
He kissed you back, “Well… Let’s hope you have time for your favorite patient from time to time.” he smiled, leaning his forehead against yours.
You smiled, “For you? Hmmmmm, it’ll cost you…”
“Oh? Cost what?” He kissed your cheeks.
“A kiss.” you blushed.
“Just the one? Darling, don’t cheapen yourself.” he smirked before kissing you deeply, you were sure there were sparks circling your head because you felt dizzy when he pulled away.
You pulled him back to your lips by his collar, “As many kisses as I want?” you questioned before kissing him softly.
“That’s a bit more economically sound, in my humble opinion.” he smiled before kissing you and pulling you on top of him.

Naboo's Note:
This is such a dumpster fire of a fic. I work in mental health and idk this just came to me but I kinda fucking hate it so who knows how long this will be up. AGAIN - I am not a therapist or counselor so if my analysis of Astarion isn't to your liking please remember this came straight out of my sleep deprived dome at 3 AM after working a double. A little grace if you please. Thank you all for the likes, comments, reblogs, and requests. TTYLXOXO!!!!!!!
