Oml, YESSS. I have been busy with my school work, but I have time now that I'm on breakk.

The Name Game

Synopsis: Darry finally gets his wish, that being a kid. During the second trimester, he gets a little over protective.

AN: I went on a whole name tangent, but he is protective. Sorry if it's not exactly as you invisioned. (I have school tomorrow and I wrote this in a hurry.)

The 6th sense of future fatherhood. Everyone, or at least just Darry, developes it. It's nice being cared for, but sometimes, it's a bit much. One can't fault him for being over protective, they really can't.

What ever his lover is doing, he's right there with them to help. Bending down to tie your shoes? Let him do it. Working long hours? Take some time away from work, they got maternity leave for you.

Point being, you are not lifting a finger after the second trimester. He's a gentleman, let him do that for you.... Please, it's the least he can do.

When there is no work to be done, it's just Darry and you. His hands are always on your stomach, whispering encouraging words to you and your kid. His hands are all over your stomach, holding you and your kid...

When you're cooking? Darry is right there with you, he's not letting you cook alone and he sure as shit isn't letting Sodapop help you cook. He likes to help and he loves doing domestic things with you, even when he has to do a lot of it because of pregnancy troubles.

After hard, long days of work for the both of you, long after his brothers have gone to bed, he's going to hold you in his arms. Much like tonight, that's what he's doing. Holding you, protecting you from any dangers that might strike when you're vulnerable.

"What if we name her Suzette? I heard one of my work buddies talking about the name, it sounded nice..." Darry murmured as he rubbed your swollen stomach, imagining your future son/daughter. "Or what about Caroline? It was my mom's name..."

"Caroline Curtis? That sounds nice..." You whispered softly as you rested your head on his chest. "Plus, it does hold some familial signifigance and it's a nice way to honor her."

Laying there, basking in each other's warmth while thinking about baby names. It was a stark contrast to the over protective monster you accidenally created and the busy blue collar man you loved. "If it's a boy, what if we name him John?" Darry said, drawing you out of your little thought bubble.

"Hm? Like Johnny?" You whispered back as you rubbed one of Darry's shoulders. He nodded softly, that small movement being all you needed to know.

"Alright, we got our two names chosen... What about middle names? Shaynne is in the pool, I know that much." You smiled as he started to play with your hair, his calloused hands from hours of hard work curled your locks around his fingers.

"Maybe Dallas. If it's a boy and we name him Johnny, Dallas has to go after it." Darry answered as he looked over at you.

"Alright... We better get to sleep, we have work tomorrow." You whispered against his neck, already feeling tired. Darry nodded softly, giving you one more kiss before falling asleep with you. Holding you like the most precious item in the world, and by extention, your child.

Nothing was going to tear him away from his main job, protecting you. God himself could come down to earth and demand that he stop, but he wouldn't. He would protect you, your kid, his brothers, and the gang with his life because that's what he's meant to do.

9. worst part of canon: we all know about this... taka(+orochimaru)s characterization thrown away in the war for jokes or to act as plot devices... i fear i may never forgive kishimoto. the atmosphere wasnt so tense that we needed karin to be crazy about sasuke again + that overt about wanting sasuke to bite her (?!). why is suigetsu acting like he wasnt captured and experimented on by orochimaru but worked for him like karin. why is juugo acting like sasuke is kimimaro when he clearly made the difference before. orochimarus weirdass change of heart because we needed the hokages to show up. or even suigetsu randomly stumbling upon a convenient scroll detailing how to undo shiki fuujin and his first thought (before he meets sasuke again) is to pocket it because it would be useful for sasuke?? like why was it in suigetsus hideout of all places. why does suigetsu even know what it means. im sorry i just dont think orochimaru discussed the matter of his arms & the first 4 hokages souls over the vivisection table and i dont believe sasuke ever brought it up during hebitaka because WHY WOULD HEEE. etc etc etc like am i making sense? they really are just there to move the plot along and play out a joke once in a while. nothing about what happened when taka separated matters at all in the war theyre barely even characters

10. worst part of fanon: 100% the tendency to make everyone friends i think its so boring!!! like in what world are taka invited to karuis wedding? in what world is karin a guest star on the real housewives of konoha (=joining them for brunch). what exactly do temari and karin have in common other than both having the Kishimoto Woman Personality Type #1.

its so much more fun to have characters who just cant stand each other. naruto dislikes taka for literally no reason and its hilarious we should keep it that way. no way im ever believing karui genuinely befriends sakura i think they should HATE having to see each other all the time because their girls are besties. it will always feel more natural &balanced to me + im more inclined to believe 2 characters whove never talked to each other could be great friends if youve also considered who they DONT mesh with at all.

25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing: i cant remember anything specific and i know i will feel silly right after posting because like 5 different things will immediately come back to me. here are a few

I think it’s funny to imagine it happening because Cove and the MC (who are dating) are watching a romance film and that trope happens and the MC just jokingly asks Cove why he’s never done that and then like two days later when the MC’s home alone and lounging/working in their room they suddenly hear music coming from outside their window and when they check to see what’s happening they see that Coves actually outside on the ground holding a radio and flowers and he asks if MC wants to go out on a date

Bonus: After that happens MC just will not stop reminding Cove about it no matter how much time passes and he always cringes so badly at how he seriously did that (sillies <3)

Goemon’s backstory next?

Yesss ヽ(´▽｀)/ he was the one who actually sparked the whole backstory thing so I’m excited to get to write about him!

TW: abuse, suicidal ideation, self harm, self destructive behavior

Goemon’s family lived in a pretty rural part of Japan tbh? And they all lived together in a pretty sizable house all things considered. The Ishikawa family had strayed from the practices of Goemon Ishikawa the first in regard to thievery but they still held their ancestors in pretty high regard for legacy sake and such, y’know? Goemon is the first grandchild of Goemon Ishikawa XI and the house consisted of him, his parents and aunts and uncles and grandparents.

Goemon was raised pretty traditionally? But his family was a LOT more modern that Goemon is portrayed in show canon. They had a TV and other modern commodities and, while they valued traditions in their family like martial arts, they were a pretty chill family. Goemon was raised a lot different than he would end up being raised by Momochi (we’ll touch on that later). He’s taught kindness and compassion for all living things and the importance of friends and family. His grandparents had a high regard for nature and history and Goemon took to it immediately. He was always outside and, like Jigen, came home pretty often with grass stains on his clothes and some scraped knees from playing. His mom taught him a LOT about art, he really takes to that too. Ask him about his paintings and pottery, he would love to show you!

He’s about 5 when his father gets into a fight with an older man who came to their front door. Goemon doesn’t understand what the fight is about and, frankly, it scares him a bit since his family is pretty mellow and they don’t raise their voices. A few weeks later he comes back from playing and everyone is gone. He waits for hours. Hours turn into a day or two. He’s a self sufficient kid, at least enough for a 5 year old to survive a night but he’s distraught. Where is his family? Where have they gone? The man from a few days ago shows up at the door again. He tells Goemon he’s there to collect him. His family left him and wanted the man to train him in martial arts. His name is Momochi but Goemon must call him master or master Momochi and nothing else. He has no family anymore, just a master.

Goemon adapted to the rule changes pretty easy, because he’s Goemon. He understands rules. The routine changes weren’t as fun, but he was told to suck it up or get punished. Momochi quickly learned that Goemon was pretty tolerant to pain and harsher punishments he had like standing barefoot in snow, so he got creative in punishments. He would hit harder than he needed to or expose Goemon to loud sounds. If physical punishment wasn’t enough then he would turn to psychological punishments like degrading Goemon’s work or lying about why his family left him. A happy child turns into a machine for a sadistic master hellbent on reviving a legacy that should’ve been left to history.

When Goemon hit puberty, Momochi is pissed. The last heir of Ishikawa Goemon is female? Momochi, the bastard that he is, is also a huge sexist fuck on top of being an asshole. Goemon went along with male pronouns because he wasn’t supposed to question his master. To be fair, he didn’t mind them anyway. What he did mind was the painful chest binding Momochi enforced on top of training. Goemon was often left bruised and out of breath after daily training. Momochi didn’t care. He blamed Goemon’s weak body and spirit for this. He was beyond angry when Goemon ended up fainting during training due to lack of food, sleep, and constant binding. Goemon learns to live with the pain.

As he ages, he doesn’t realize Momochi trying to hit on him at times. He isn’t good with social cues anyway, but especially due to being cut off from people besides Momochi for so long. He grows uncomfortable when the man tries to see him nude, though. When he doesn’t get what he wants, he turns to women from the village nearby who also try to hit on Goemon. He has some internalized sexism from Momochi, and ruins any potential good the interactions could pose for him. When village men show up to consult with Momochi for matters Goemon isn’t allowed to listen in on, he realizes pretty early that he grows fond of their presences and good looks. He doesn’t say anything to Momochi. He knows homosexual thoughts would get him punished more than he already for how he was born.

He’s in his 20s when Momochi asks him to murder a man named Lupin. It was important to his master and a key part of his training, so he agrees and goes on a mad hunt for this strange man and his gunman friend. Lupin is a formidable foe, and he and Jigen are both good looking, both factors throw off his game. Momochi isn’t impressed when Goemon comes back empty handed. He’s punished severely and then sent back to kill the thief, if he doesn’t he won’t get to come back and will have to die to restore his honor.

Lupin notices something’s up with Goemon and tries to form a truce. Eventually, Goemon at least entertains Lupin on why he thinks they should. Lupin ends up giving him information that sends his world spinning and upside down. Momochi had murdered his family so he could get to him. He wanted to train Goemon as an assassin to have a bodyguard of such high lineage and natural skill. Goemon is beyond angry. Lupin and Jigen come with him to face Momochi.

The man makes several excuses, lying straight to Goemon’s face. It makes him more angry, he ends up killing the man right in front of Jigen and Lupin. The men don’t seem to phased by it, they offer Goemon a steady job, joining their gang of thieves would revive the legacy of his ancestor, so he decides to just join. He has nothing better to do and Lupin and Jigen seemed nice enough?

They find out pretty early on that his habits are unhealthy. The samurai has a LOT more baggage than they expected. Not eating as punishment, not dressing for the weather, letting wounds stay untreated. Hell, he even tried to kill himself more times than they could count. What draws the line in the sand for them is the unsafe binding. Lupin and Jigen find him doubled over, struggling to breathe after a heist and really lay into him for his unsafe habits. He was surprised they even knew what binding was, but they all have a long talk and it sets him somewhat straight about his habits.

He practices better self care, and while he isn’t perfect at some things, they help him along the way. He even ends up learning how to give top surgery and he does it for himself and Lupin and Jigen as a thanks for their help. He unlearns a lot of his internalized sexism and a LOT of the internalized homophobia. He gets a lot more comfortable with himself and his identity. He’s allowed to be whoever he wants without Momochi controlling him and they all still think he’s cool despite that! He gets to have a family again and try new things. He’s allowed to make mistakes without punishment. He’s learning to be happy with his family, despite his past.

So I read the first book in the Percy Jackson series ‘The Lightning Thief’ a few months ago, and then I realised there was a musical after randomly coming across ‘The Campfire Song’ in a Greek Mythology song playlist on yt. So I finally listened to 'The Lightning Thief' musical! Yay! And now I have way too much in my head, and now I’m shoving it all onto the internet! Be warned, this isn’t really ordered or even coherent :)

I'm too used to Hamilton and Epic lol, I kept getting surprised when there were time skips between songs. Only 19 songs instead of 40? Skipping or compacting battle scenes? Actual spoken lines most of the time? Wow.

I really like 'Prologue/The Day I Got Expelled', 'Another Terrible Day', Percy's part in 'Their Sign', 'Put You In Your Place', 'The Campfire Song', 'Good Kid', 'Lost!', 'Drive,' 'The Tree on the Hill', 'The Last Day of Summer', 'Bring on the Monsters'. So most of them lol.

Tho my favs 5 are probs 'Prologue/The Day I Got Expelled', 'The Campfire Song', 'Good Kid', 'The Tree on the Hill', 'The Last Day of Summer'.

I love Percy. He's so sassy bitter exasperated done with all this shit XD. I almost like him better than in the book lol.

Also Luke. I actually sympathised with him a lot. Probably because the resigned bitterness all the half-bloods feel about their parents is emphasised a lot more in the songs, at least to me.

So! I finally saw the fnaf movie! And I’ve got many thoughts about it!!! Here’s my review and random reactions and thoughts about it. Spoilers for the movie under the cut. Proceed with caution!

I thought it was really good! Definitely wasn’t perfect but I had a lot of fun watching it! My mom was with me, and she doesn’t really know anything about fnaf but she also enjoyed it. I didn’t really get scared at any point during the movie (I was more scared by the horror trailers they played before it started haha), but that’s fine! Maybe I’m just immune to jumpscares.

The effects!!! All the animatronics looked so good in motion, and the sound design made them feel even more real. Every heavy metallic movement or blink of an eye, it was just perfect.

There are sooooo many Easter Eggs! Sparky the dog! Ella from the books as a prototype circus baby spring lock suit!

The soundtrack slapped, especially the opening credits. Blumhouse was cooking in the music department fr 🔥🔥🔥

BLANKET FORT SCENE! EVERYONE CHILLING TOGETHER ON THE FLOOR AND BEING FRIENDS! I wish they could’ve stayed friends like that, it was my favorite scene of the whole movie and was so sweet

I heard everyone say there was a matpat cameo but I didn’t see it? Either I somehow missed it or the theater cut the scene or something? I SWEAR I didn’t see this man or hear him say his iconic line. I did have to get up at one point to use the bathroom really quick, so many that’s when I missed it.

Coryxkenshins cameo! I love that guy, he did really good for his quick scenes! I think they should make him a reoccurring character actually. Have him run over springtrap in the next movie.

Also the aunt character was evil. But like, comically evil. She hires people to break into the restaurant to make Mike look bad so she can get custody of Abby and get the government paychecks for it. And she got murdered in Mikes house by Golden Freddy, and they never resolve that??? Last we see her she’s lying dead on the floor and then the last scene with Mike and Abby they’re happily eating spaghetti at home like their aunt wasn’t murdered in the living room lmao. And we know Vanessa couldn’t have covered for them because she’s in a coma soooooooo. 🤷‍♀️

The coolest kill was when Freddy bit that girl in half and her bottom half fell onto the floor like DANG! The rest of the kills they either cut away from or don’t really show detail, which I thing is a weak point. Next movie I think they should push it a little bit further, but I understand why they shot it the way they did.

Is this a good time to admit that I’m kinda down bad for Josh Hutcherson in this thing hhahghshdh 😳🫣 boy stopping looking at me with them big sad doe eyes

Matthew Lillard was also serving cunt in this, even though he got 10 minutes of screen time 😔 he gave it his all. Hopefully if we get a sequel he gets to do Springtrap stuff.

I’m surprised it took so long for the band to attack him in real life (dream sequences don’t count) when in literally every other scene he’s popping pills and taking naps. He naps every few scenes and yet looks like he hasn’t had a good nights rest in 30 years 😭

So… Garret isn’t one of the spirits? I would’ve thought he was Golden Freddy but he’s not…. Maybe in this universe Garret is the puppet? There was a hidden message in the end credits that says COME FIND ME and the puppet music box is playing. That seems to be what theyre trying to set up for a potential sequel, but…. That’d make me a little sad tbh, this is Charlie erasure ;-; Also can we please have Henry Emily do something for once in this franchise, WHERE is this man.

The finale was cool! When Spring Bonnie walked in everyone was like “YESSS!!!” And after he started talking my mom was like “😯 I think I know who it is!”

William smacked Mike so hard he did a damn triple flip through the air and got his ass knocked out cold. Mans him so hard that it probably sent him back to the bite of 83 💀💀💀

So. The big thing. No Michael Afton in the movie. In fact, Vanessa is William’s only child.

Honestly I’m kinda down for the strange role swap that this universe has going on. I don’t think anyone expected Vanessa to be Williams daughter, but that was cool, and it gives a little insight as to how William managed to get away with this for so long. He’s literally got a kid in the police force keeping tabs on Freddys and covering his tracks for him. Now it suddenly makes sense why in the trailers Vanessa seems so knowledgeable about the animatronics and already knows they’re possessed.

Tbh I had a random thought. If Vanessa gets to take over Mikes role in this world as Williams kid, then Mike should get to have his own “reluctant follower” villain arc. Put that man in a rabbit costume. It’s only fair. Equality 😤 ✊

And with those final thoughts…. Yeah! I’d say the movie was a solid 8.5/10 for me, I’ll probably go see it again with friends when they get off work this weekend! The critics are wrong yet again, it’s a perfectly enjoyable movie and the fans will love it.

but in the brand of dating shinaya regardless whether they end up together or not, they care for each other nonetheless. and my favorite thing to have fun with is their messy fresh off the daze dating bc they spent NO time healing/talking/etc and its a nightmare to everyone. literally that couple fighting and everyone being like Ok were leaving now and them being like NO!!!! "don't like me" thing wasn't annoying! She regrets about her previous actions and is stressed about her new positive feelings building up for him. I like that these are the factors of her mixed actions! She puts a distance as well as does things in his favor. I can't find a proper way to explain it now but like... the confusion in the episodes were understandable for me. And yes it was also fun to watch Dong Jin reactions. Idk maybe I'm convinced well that this time it didn't annoy me seeing a main couple avoiding each other. Kdrama writers have a shitty timing preference for this type of situations.

the number of side characters/plots and episodes concern me. I don't want this drama to end up like Cheer Up. I genuinely hated to see all potentials getting wasted. I'm praying hard for a possibility that the writer(s) thought thoroughly about the direction of the scenario.

Coming to my experience with this week's episodes...

His ex's past and (seems like our permanent villain) old boss took a bit of space in this week's episodes meanwhile the main characters were busy with putting a distance.

Ex's past wasn't a waste of time, surprisingly. I liked and understood the reason perfectly since the drama did a great job showing how annoying and tiring Dong Jin's mom is for everyone. Dong Jin wanting to give more time for his gf for her sake and Minyoung misunderstanding this as reluctance on taking a step further... understandable.

Ending of ep7: her realization of her feelings. PERFECT. For her part, I loved the confusion and the long talk. Additionally, I loved Sung Joon's eyes in that scene. He delivered well and it was shot well. Those eyes were pretty! (Alexa, play 예뻤어)

Ending of ep8: his acceptance of his feelings. PERFECT. one "어" and lots of feelings on that face. I also liked his talk before this moment.

And it is cute that both characters lived that moment while they were alone with their close friends.

Ms. Baek!! She keeps getting my attention. I liked her small scene with Dong Jin. (Also remember how she got soft towards Woo Joo at one point?)

There are small plots winking at us. Woo Joo's sister takes some pills?.. Dongjin promised to go to camping (and we all saw that picture but unfortunately didn't see the SCENE yet)... Woo Joo's mom getting mentioned pretty often... Jun's confusing acting performances?.. (does he really act? which statements are he actually serious about?) There are some uninteresting ones, too. Like the old boss's revenge. I thought and hoped he would stop at one point but he's racing for the main villain role... Aaand I don't think we would have a fun time with Woo Joo's dead father's will? The less I see that woman, the better.

Hope there would be many good/fun things to mention next week!

It's the way they wanna put distance but keep doing things against it like how woojoo sewed his button and told him she want to do it so dont stop her or lock the door aasdjkjfd. Yesss I really want to see more of the other characters mainly her sister and jun. There's a lot to explore so I hope they dont make the side characters get drowned unnecessarily. and i also picked that up about haesung supposedly taking pills???? 👀👀

everytime they show flashbacks I get more intrigued. I would think dongjin already talked to minyoung about his mom and how he's brought up. From the flashbacks, dongjin seemed to be quite emotionally stable despite his own baggage when he was with minyoung. It's understandable that minyoung would feel that him delaying to meet the parents as reluctance for the next step but the fact that she cheated for a year still doesnt sit right with me. Although, there might be possibilities that she fake cheated cos she didnt get married anyways and stayed in US alone.

Oh yes, I've always loved Christmas so much - there is a calm that comes over me with the lights and the Christmas songs that I just don't feel at any other point. I live alone so so far I've just been decorating at home alone, but I do the traditional baking with my mom around Lucia and then of course Christmas eve and the days around it is gonna be lots of family and friends gatherings. I'm Scandinavian so the advent Sundays leading up to Christmas is a big thing here, everyone has stars in their windows and light candles and such. And then Christmas officially goes on until 13 january. So it's about a month and a half of loveliness!

Oh cool! Je parle un peu de français, mais c'est difficile... to form sentences x) I'm better at reading it, but not as good as I wished to be (though I teach it in schools sometimes - with the help of books). One of my best friends live in Lyon though and is engaged to a French guy! So I want to get better. Feel free to reply some in french if you want and I'll try my best! x'D

Nice! I don't know much about those genres really, so please educate me if you feel like talking about what you like about them or certain artists or whatever! My cousin has played a lot of New Orleans jazz! He does a lot of different genres, both with bands he's in and also various gigs in all kinds of settings. He's been in a jazz trio though for some 20 years and I guess their style would be considered contemporary...? I'm not an expert, I'll have to remember to ask him on Christmas eve 😅 But he's really skilled! (*proud*)

Oh dear... "Here Comes the Sun" has always been my favourite, it's one that is always comforting to me. Otherwise uuuuh... it depends on what mood I'm in! I love a lot of songs off Let It Be. "Get Back" is always awesome... so is "Oh, Darling!" and "Don't Let Me Down". I love Sgt Pepper but I'll almost only listen to the full album and not individual songs and I'll only do that when I feel like it's the *time* for it, you know. But I do love "A Day In the Life" A Lot. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "The Long and Winding Road" are songs that always strike me to the core. But oh, there are so many favourites! Which are yours??

Haha, I don't know either if you'd like Paramore, but they have a wide range! They're generally classified as a rock band (they won best rock album and best rock song at the Grammys last year and I usually don't care about the Grammys but I was Proud) but they've said themselves that they don't want to define themselves within a genre, and their (especially later) albums have a wide range. Never mainstream and always full of emotion one way or another, though.

TL/DR : constance is the mama bear who is literally just doing her fucking best. Think molly weasley specifically in the ‘not my daughter you bitch’ mode combined with sandra bullock in practical magic (gracie you’ve mentioned this in BOTH do you maybe only know one witchy movie?
