Thought up an au for the emu forth fous cards, not exactly sure what to call the set, but I'm leaning towards calling it the 'RPG town set'.

So, we begin from the viewpoint that this au is a video game. From the beginning, you think you'll follow Tsukasa's journey with the white knights.. which is absolutely false.

What ACTUALLY happens, is that Tsukasa gets 'released'(Forced to retire VERY early) due to an injury(not sure what the injury will be, it'll either be comedic or a bit serious, but not too serious) He gets taken to a... pretty much run-down village with barely any villagers and inherits the restaurant house of a deceased distant uncle. So yeah, it sucks.

The way the au works is kinda like some kind of management simulator. Basically, you run a restaurant and work on building the town after you promise the orphanage caretaker(Luka) to do so. There is a story, but the au mostly focuses on building the town for a while.

Along the way, you meet some curious folk, let's get into them, shall we?

Luka - The caretaker of the local orphanage. You(Tsukasa) meet her after deciding to wander the town. She tells you that the town used to be pretty lively, but everyone left after an event called 'the tragedy'. You promise Luka that you'll make this town the best town that the kingdom, no, that the world has ever seen!

Meiko - A traveling merchant, the town mayor's former wife. She is an adventurous spirit and can't stand the idea of staying in one place for too long. She sells things not often found in the markets, and she frequently comes to the town, coming every Sunday. It's unknown how she gets around so quickly, one day she could be in one kingdom, and the next she's in a completely different one!

Kaito - The town mayor, divorced, becomes Tsukasa's father figure. used to be in a secret operation of knights before he met Meiko and settled down. Due to a difference in desire, Kaito and Meiko divorced a year after they were married. As Kaito wanted to stay put while Meiko wanted to travel.

Nene Kusanagi - A witch and a regular at your restaurant(eventually). She's part water nymph and normally hangs around in the forest to practice her singing. You stumble upon her one day while foraging and end up asking(begging) her to come to the restaurant. She eventually gets dragged along by her Adventurer friend and ends up enjoying the food, she always comes on Wednesdays.

Emu Otori - Nene's adventurer friend. She adventures from kingdom to kingdom and is apart of the Otori trading guild. You can trade with her for rare items that she finds on her adventures, she mostly accepts food though.

Rui Kamishiro - An Archeologist and Alchemist. You meet him in the forest and take him home after he collapses in front of you. Rui is an odd fellow, he lives in the forest(? maybe he does, Tsukasa isn't sure) and is a bit of a weirdo. He seems to have an obsessive curiosity with gemstones, so much so that he'll go to any length to acquire them. Sometimes he gives these gems to you as 'gifts' or rent, as you let him stay with you while he recovers. You insist that he doesn't need to pay you back, but he insists for some odd reason.

Miku - A religious figure in the town square, she is a statue atop the central water fountain. On your first day in the town when you passed by the fountain you received a small, star-shaped and clear gemstone. Did Miku give it too you?

(Most characters are in their mid twenties - early thirties.)

Drowning in Ecstasy (On-going) | #fnf drowning in ecstasy BF x Pico, BF x GF Not really having a purpose in life, incubus Boyfriend and security guard Pico meet each other at BF's bar one day. They learn about each other's problems, and the- Just read the summary on Ao3. It's too long for here. lmao

Life is Fleeting (Sequel to above) | #fnf life is fleeting BF x Pico, BF x GF | Major Character Death Implied After 36 years have passed, the trio open up a café & bakery combo business. The café is open from 10 AM - 2 PM, and the bakery is open from 4 PM - 7 PM. Only people with reservations will be served during café hours, and people must order a week in advance for specialty baked goods. This is how the trio enjoys life as Pico nears the end of his.

The Arsonist's Garden | #the arsonist's garden Darnell x Pico Darnell is no ordinary alchemist. He happens to work for an order of assassins working to eliminate those in power, and push towards a future where slavery is illegal. Encountering a thief with ginger hair that seemed to occasionally shed tiny embers one night, he learns that this man is not only blind, but a runaway slave. He helps him avoid his former master, but there's more to this person that causes his somewhat peaceful life to turn into one on the run.

Funkin' Adventures (Complete) GF x BF x Pico Uh... Fuck if I know, but a story totaling 347,522 words separated into multiple arcs for easier reading. This series is the first thing I've written after years of not writing, so the quality goes up, down, and all around.

Sanity's Embrace | #sanity's embrace Darnell x Pico With the death of his father, angel Darnell is given the crowned halo along with the king's final wish. His unorthodox way of ruling causes doubt to stir in the royal council, and his sanity is questioned as the path of blazing destruction tempts him everyday.

Odyssey of the Sea Pico x Darnell Pirate Captain Pico, and his first mate Nene stumble upon the underwater city Atlantis. After being caught attempting to steal an artifact, they are thrown into a water filled cell where they meet a mermaid called Darnell who was imprisoned for simply "playing" with fire.

FNF Soft: Detective's HeART (Complete) Toughie x Softie, Sven x Grace (Not focused on a lot) Detective Pico was tasked to solve a robbery at the Fairests' mansion, but ends up learning the parents aren't the charitable role models the city claims them to be.

FNF Soft: Investigator's HeART (Sequel to above) Despite being in prison, Benjamin's parents find a way to make Grace's parents frame Pico for a crime he didn't commit. With the ginger out of commission, it's up to private investigator Sven to clear his name, and put a stop to the Fairests manipulation for good.

FNF Soft: Dragon's HeART Toughie x Softie Pico was a dragon disguised as a human, and he worked as Prince Benjamin's personal guard. Another dragon pretending to be human called Cassandra severely injures the prince, causing the ginger to reveal his true form out of rage. The Fairests seized the opportunity to force him into servitude while keeping Benjamin in the dark of Pico's true nature as the kingdom's silencer.

Fall of Hell's Dynasty (Prequel/Sequel to Hell's Dynasty in Funkin' Adventures) GF x BF x Pico After devils destroyed the military school Pico, Darnell, and Nene were in, the trio end up serving the Dearest family. Quickly rising through the ranks, the "Mad" General Pico and his friends work together with Princess Girlfriend and a bard called Boyfriend to overthrow the shogunate, and free the humans from servitude.

King's Guard | #fnf king's guard BF x GF x Pico Assassin Pico and Prince Boyfriend were both pretending to be commoners when they first met, and end up falling in love after multiple encounters. Neither of them knew the other's true identity on the day Pico was tasked with assassinating the crown prince at a masquerade. After failing to protect his lover, the ginger was given a second chance at life by an archdemon called Girlfriend. Together they learn what truly happened the day he died, and find a way to free Boyfriend from his curse of silence.

Shot Through The Heart | #fnf shot through the heart GF x BF x Pico Pico was a spy tasked to become Girlfriend's bodyguard in order to gather intel on the Dearest family. He ends up falling in love with her, and betrays the organization as a result. Boyfriend, another spy thinking his lover was charmed by her, jumps in to save him from the demon's clutches, only to end up falling in love with her himself.

The Gods' Will GF x BF x Pico Pico was a general for the Greece military, and suffered defeat by the Romans after using himself as bait to allow his men to escape. He's forced to become a gladiator in order to prevent his friends from suffering a similar fate. Their safety was the only thing preventing him from escaping, and his win streak catches the eye of Emperor Girlfriend.

Guardians of Yggdrasil | #fnf guadians of yggdrasil BF x GF x Pico, Darnell x Pico, Darnell x Nene Pico was the champion of Fenrir, and he was feared by the village due to others thinking he will one day bring Ragnarok upon them. The wolf's rage was only kept at bay by a collar created by blacksmith Darnell, and this collar was named Fenrir's Chain as a result. Despite the ginger not doing anything bad, the villagers kept their distance. This causes the mostly silent man to stay at Yggdrasil for most of his time, and he ends up disappearing one day as a miasma envelopes the forest.

Funkin' Starlights | #funkin starlights Darnell x BF x Pico, GF x Nene After an tragedy caused by Cassandra on stage, idol Pico is unable to perform for years due to PTSD. His lovers and friends help him overcome his trauma while facing discrimination for what he is.

I Found A Cat In A Vending Machine & Now My Life Is In Chaos Darnell x Pico, Darnell x Nene Darnell finds a cat person in a vending machine one day, and it turns out to be his long lost friend Pico.

Judgement of Anubis idk pairings yet Something, something, Pico is a servant of Anubis, fuck if I know, Egyptian themed AU. (I thought about this for like a few minutes since it was an option for a path in Funkin' Adventures. My dice said medieval japan instead.)

Also I like that despite tsukasa being the comedy chew toy for wxs they all clearly think he’s great. Emu thinks he’s really funny and cool and has believed in him since the first time she laid eyes on him and compares him to her grandpa (inarguably the most important person in her life). Rui trusts him to improvise a crucial speech in WMS and specifically uses voice recordings of him to cheer up Mizuki and has no doubt he’ll become a star. Nene thinks his drive and skill is very impressive and says he’s reliable. However none of them will tell him this because he has a huge fucking ego (doesn’t need to be any bigger), he already knows they love him, and they all find it more entertaining to affectionately bully him. As nene said:

Five injured White Knights laid on the forest floor while an automaton pilot struggled to get out of her damaged suit. An alchemist stood on the long hair of the oldest knight. "Fufu, how hilarious," Rui chuckled, "it seems that even though with all your talk about defeating us, you just simply can't do that. Saki was right in joining us instead."

The eldest knight simply coughed and let out a soft 'fuck you'.

"Well, as fun as this was, I simply cannot let you live, my dear Tsukasa-kun. Maybe in another life things could have played out differently. Goodbye, my dear Tsukasa-kun."

The other knights could only watched in horror as Rui raised his staff while the pilot only struggled harder in getting out.

"I would step away from the young one, if I were you." Rui's body involuntarily stepped away from Tsukasa. His eyes were wide as he looked around. Soon enough his eyes settled on an older woman walking out of the woods.

She had short brown hair with silver streaks coming to her neck. Her light brown eyes looked at him with a hardened expression but also... disinterest? She wore a long red dress with a white collar, her sleeves rolled up and an apron tied around her waist. She had black gloves on her hands and brown boots on her feet. Around her neck was a pendant with a crest that was familiar to Rui.

She continued forward until she was standing in front of the White Knights. "It's quite rude of you to call someone your 'dear' when you don't mean it, isn't it? Hasn't your caretaker taught you anything about manners?"

Rui growled. How dare she. How dare she say such things! "You-"

"Meh, it doesn't matter. What matters is this." She took out a small rubber ball from a pocket Rui didn't notice. "Take out all your anger on him, won't you?"

The ball seemingly came to life and immediately targeted Rui. It pelted him with attack after attack, leaving him no room to defend himself. Seemingly satisfied, the woman turned to the injured White Knights.

All of them tensed, ready to defend themselves if she attacked even if they were injured. It broke her heart seeing these young teenagers act like that. "Please don't worry, I'm here to help. I saw what happened and I just couldn't let it happen any longer." She knelt down to their level.

Tsukasa didn't know whether to feel relief or terror. She singlehandedly beat Rui. Rui! The strongest Alchemist and one of the elites of the enemy! She could easily kill them off! Not that he would let her, of course! His juniors were much too precious to him and he didn't want anything bad happening to him. It wasn't until her pendant caught his eye that he made his decision.

That familiar dragon head looking to side with its emerald eye was very familiar. Now that he thought about it, the woman looked very familiar too. A faint memory locked under a haze surfaced for a bit before disappearing. "Alright, I'll trust you for now. But if you even dare lay a hand on them..."

"You have my word that I won't, darling. Now, allow me to pick you up." The woman did so with ease. She held Tsukasa like a prince would hold his princess after he saved her from the villain. Such a strange thing to think about. Like a troupe from a fairy tale.

The woman walked over to Minori who had the least injuries as she was in her automaton. She was still struggling to open it up. "Let her out, please." The makeshift doors opened with ease and Minori clumsily got out.

"Thank you so much, miss!"

"Huhu, it's alright dear." A large, fluffy dog with white fur jumped out of the automaton too and into his owner. Akito jumped up and hid behind Mizuki who was shaky on their legs. Len was helping Shiho up.

"Oi, senpai, why are we trusting this powerful forest lady?" Akito questioned. Mizuki could tell he wouldn't be getting an answer from how their senior looked. "Look on the bright side, Lil' Bro! She isn't attacking us like a certain someone."

"I know, but..."

"I know I'm just a stranger to you all but I will gladly help all of you out. Please, follow me." The woman turned to look at the automaton and rubber ball who was still attacking Rui. "Both of you, please follow us. As for you, alchemist, I suggest running far from here and not following us." They all did as told.

The automaton hovered without its pilot and the rubber ball bounced over. Rui's legs started running off into a random direction. The group went into the same direction as the woman had came from. Minori allowed Shiho and Len to climb up on her automaton with her as Samo-chan guarded the woman and Tsukasa. Akito had Mizuki's arm around his shoulder as he half-carried them along.

Soon they reach a clearing where a large castle was. Well, it was more accurately described as an off-balanced mesh of buildings, canons, and disparate pieces of junk hanging onto one another. It was also on creaky legs. A scarecrow with a top hat on its head, a pipe in a crudely drawn mouth, and wearing some more sophisticated clothes came up to the group.

"My sun! You're home!" A voice called. The group looked up to see the faint shape of another woman high up on the castle. The other woman jumped down to join them. Well, specifically to be with the other woman.

The other woman's pink hair was done up in butterfly locs as they cascaded down her back. Some locs went over her shoulder. Her blue eyes looked over at the woman carrying Tsukasa with so much love in them. She wore a form fitting off-white button up. Some deliberately left unbuttoned. It was tucked into some black dress pants and covered by a pink and blue diamond patterned jacket with gold trim. Her jewelry was eye-catching. Beautiful emerald earring dangled from her ears as a gold necklace with a diamond sat snugly on her neck. Rings covered her painted fingers.

The knights recognised her immediately. "Y-you're-!"

"Oh! We have some guests! Hello there, you all are now in the presence of Luka Megurine-Pendragon! It seems you have already met my wife, Meiko. Allow us to help you in your troubles."

I’d rather be haunted by Nene. Mafuyu and Toya haunt me any gacha I pull for. Pulling 100 pulls on a gacha I really want, “sorry you can’t get the banner cards but have 2 four stars of Mafuyu and Toya each though. “

Oh, I'm afraid I worded it wrong- Nene never comes home. In fact I had to spark her from the CG/O gacha. The entire 200 pulls I pulled off-banner cards.

Trust me, as happy as I was to see Kanade, Rui, and Haruka. All pretty high favorites of mine- I was pretty sad to have to spark Nene.

In fact I got curious and checked, my most four stars is KAITO.

Although to be fair, only 2 of them (Leo/Need and Kamikou Fest KAITO) were pulled off-banner. Otherwise I would say I'm haunted by Honami, as much as I love her, I pulled 3 of her cards (2 different, but I pulled her New Years card twice) during new years and no fes. I was honestly surprised to see Kanade and Haruka show up in my pulls at all considering I only had 1 4☆ of either of them before this.

Although truly I can't complain because I have a four star for every character and I am always happy to see them come home (albeit usually at the cost of not getting someone else)

I've had this thought in mind for days... or we can say since the new chapter was released...

If we ended up getting this AU as our next event, which seems most likely... I really wonder how these 2 will be interacting...

Judging by their later development in canon, I feel the way they interact together will get a boost up and that will show in this new AU. I'm kind of nervous to be honest, especially with this event being another 'magical' themed one... they seem to get along pretty well in this kind of thing... with some ''moments'' in the air between them... ehhhh................
