(Repost) Naruto/Boruto Headcanon: Chocolate Flavored Potato Chips, The Marriage of Karui & Chouji pt. 6- THE NIGHT CONTINUES

As the meal is served, Karui and Chouji’s table gets to eat first. Followed by the groomsmen/bridesmaids' table along with Naruto’s since he won the UNO game tournament.

Sasuke looked around him to see many people infatuated with the high-quality beef like they hadn’t eaten in years.

“THIS IS SO DELICIOUS! I NEED THE RECIPE NOW!! I NEED TO ASK KILLER BEE ABOUT IT!!!’’ smiled Naruto as he added another piece of beef into his already full mouth. Karin and Suigetsu appeared to have put their difference aside to joyfully share a meal together. Sasuke raised an eyebrow at it.

His vision was obstructed by Shisui stuffing his face with everything on the table. He was grilling his deep-fried dough, dipping it in the soup, and eating his sauce. As messy his cousin eating was, Sasuke couldn’t judge too much because he had no clue how to eat most of those meal as well but compared to Itachi he appeared completely off track. His brother looked like he knew what he was doing.

“Sheesh, this is some good food! Rin we better get on this.” Obito commented mouth open to the amusement of Madara who always gets a good laugh out of him being enthusiastic about anything. Meanwhile, the big-haired Uchiha was too busy soliciting waitresses every 5 minutes for whatever reason.

Sakura caught herself eating way more deep-fried dough balls, than she intended.

 “I’m definitely gaining some inches to my waist tonight’’ She sighed. “It will probably go to my chest’’ she ironically thought. Next to her, Hinata was hesitantly picking her spoon in the various sauces and side dishes. Sakura took notice and reassured her;

“Don’t worry Hinata, it’s nice to try different things sometimes’’ she smiled. The kind words allowed her to relax a little.

“You need to try more dishes!’’ exclaimed Hanabi who rose from her place to support Sakura. Quickly, she handed her a bowl of spinach sauce with cassava rice “Taste that! It’s delicious!’’.

Temari frowned as she sniffed one of the bowls of sauce, she quickly put it back on the table.

“Something is wrong Temari?’’ asked Gaara as he removed eggplant from the grill. She pushed a few other bowls away from her grimacing. “There’s too much peanut butter, I can’t stand it’’ she answered. Kankuro and Gaara looked at each other.

“No need to make a scene’’ said Kankuro as he shoved a piece of plantain in his older sister's mouth only to receive a herculean slap behind his head.

The dinner went as expected, when everyone was satisfied, waiters cleared the table while waitresses distributed alcoholic beverages based on each table’s orders. Yes, in Kumo they do the drinking after the meal and it is used as prepping for the dancefloor. When cocktails (or a beer whatever pleases you) are served, each table are called to offer their gifts and envelopes (of money) to Karui & Chouji.

Sasuke watched as Naruto’s table (made of him, Lee, Kiba, Shino, Sai & Neji) got up to greet the groom and the bride. Shisui raised an eyebrow.

“Wait, Sasuke why aren’t you going with them? Aren’t you friends with them too?” He asked only to be answered with an angry look. Rin sighed at what she thinks is her husband’s cousin's ignorance and not a willful attempt to hurt Sasuke’s feelings. Itachi discretely cringed at the man’s words.

Sakura sipped on an exotic fruit sparkling water when she watched Shikamaru, Ino & Asuma offering their gifts and best wishes to the newly married couple. Shikamaru was drowning in his tears and Ino tried her best to maintain her composure but failed miserably. Sakura’s table was called next. Hinata went on a long genuine monologue to wish them a good life as a married couple. Especially to Karui who just joined her in the “Married Women Club’’ and how she can’t wait to see her become a mother one day. The others (Karin, Suigetsu & Juugo) expressed their joy for them and presented their gifts even if they were not as familiar with Chouji and his wife as much as Sakura & Hinata.

“I have to admit your marriage is already better than Temari’s’’ admitted Kankuro to Chouji, he was instantly gifted with a second slap on the neck by Temari. Him and Chouji laughed it off while Gaara was offering a few presents to Karui.

Time passed and the alcohol was flowing AND IT SHOWED. Waves of laughter were getting higher, and some were already weakened or boldened by the alcoholic beverages. Naruto felt it “It’s Coming…’’ he said to Lee. Kakashi never felt this relaxed in a while, he needed to bring a few bottles of the whisky they were serving home.

“Ok ok, I see you guys have digested well your food and some burn of impatience to show their dance moves to the world or I’m seeing double?’’ said Killer Bee. Waiters started freeing the space to make room for the dancefloor. “Fool, Ya, fool. It’s time to get funky but before the bench warmers leave in a hurry! It's time for the throw of the bride’s flower bouquet. Come on, all my single ladies. Don’t be shy, come out on the middle scene whether you’re in your 20s or 30s. Let’s get it!”

All the single women were encouraged to go to the middle of the room so one of them could catch Karui’s bouquet. Ino happily grabbed Sakura, Tenten & Temari and placed them in the center of the crowd of women. She couldn’t stop giggling in excitement. Then even Naruto, was shocked when the entire crowd (from Kumo) started counting as they all knew what to say in such a weird fashion only for a song to start when Karui threw her flowers.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of all people, Sakura caught it. “Whoops..’’ said Ino when the room was completely silent.

Itachi who just got out of the bathroom and luckily caught the scene pointed his brother from across the room ‘’SASUKE, MARRY HER NOW!’’ he yelled.

Suddenly a frenzy broke out in the room and a large group of men (including Naruto and his friends) seize the raven before he could escape and started throwing the Uchiha in the air repeating the command of his older brother.

MARRY HER NOW! MARRY HER NOW!! MARRY HER NOW!!

If Shisui and Obito could, they would mop the floor by rolling in laughter. Meanwhile, Madara was collecting blackmailing material with his phone widely grinning.

“Ok Ok leave Sasuke alone and let him go! If not, he might destroy all of you guys with his Susano!” laughed Killer Bee interrupting the chaos with the stage microphone. Sasuke adjusted his clothes while standing back up and lightly smiled to hide the flaming radioactive anger inside consuming him. He never thought he would have to thank Killer Bee out of all people but first, he made a clear mental note to burn all of Itachi’s books when he got home. Sakura blushed at the situation not thinking things would go this far.

Since the mood was hyped, the DJ took the occasion to play the first song of the night. Quickly the lights were dimmed, and the song was danced with the marrying couple, it’s tradition. When the music started, the room turned into a nightclub in a snap of fingers and most people joined the dancefloor to dance to a choreography popular in Kumo, a classic for any reunion/celebration. Neji used the situation to finesse his way out of the venue.

Sasuke stayed longer than intended because Suigetsu wanted to stock on the quality grilled beef while Karin was slowly realizing that there were other attractive men in the world aside from her precious Sasuke.

IM CRYING, IM GLAD YOUR OPEN TO MY SHIKANARU CAUSE EVERYBODY I TRY AND TALK TO ABOUT THIS SHIP DOESNT CARE I actually am making a story i just got to get it all together. IMA SHARE IT WITH YOU WHEN I GOT IT TOGETHER it's really just me changing some events in the story and making it where Naruto and Shikamaru end up together. My plans are to have Naruto end up with Shikamaru, I love Sai/Sakura but Ino loves Sakura and i don't understand the Ino/Sai i'm still watching the anime it's just i never finished my run so i started reading the manga back to the part im at and im at ep 145 of shippuden i think? I'm not allowing myself to finish watching it until my story is caught up to where i am. Back to what i was saying I'm thinking of making it Ino/Sakura/Sai but it's more of "This is my girlfriend Sakura and her boyfriend Sai" my reasoning for this is when Ino witnessed Sasuke pull that guys arms out the socket as a kid it traumatized her, made her scared of him and Sai apparently looks like Sasuke, they were saying he looked like Sasuke a little bit in the anime if i remember correctly. it just creeps her out. I don't think Ino really ever liked Sasuke she just liked him cause that's what was cool when she was a kid so the whole rivalry with Sakura was just built on that idea. I was rewatching some scenes and i think, ok i gotta back track a little bit. I headcanon Ino's famliy is the most chill with same-sex stuff, so like if their daughter was gay they wouldn't mind. Ino puts this thinking in Sakura's head but Sakura's not as understanding as a kid and thinking it's weird cause different households (Not saying her parents were homophobic, it's just never been brought up to her before) Ino finally realizes she's in love with Sakura after she comes to her rescue when he hair gets cut that's the whole of what i wanted to say. So from that point on Ino likes Sakura, Sakura still has her feelings for Sasuke and Naruto's crush on Sakura has gone. I noticed he still asked her on dates but ultimately before and after Sasuke leaves it really hits Naruto that Sakura holds something special to Sasuke. Tsunade even notices it when she watches him leave the room to give them a moment after she heals him, Naruto walks out the room and says he wants her to look at Lee but his body language said "Oh im not needed here" and his feelings looked a little hurt. Another thing Neji developing a crush on Shikamaru before and during the timeskip because those two are the smartest in the group meaning they must work together alot even if they weren't in the same squad, Chunin Neji and Chunin Shikamaru being paired up alot is something i look at with shining eyes. But Neji, he notices Shikamaru's crush on Naruto so backs off, this leads him to back to Lee cause i'm a huge Neji/Lee shipper as well. As for Hinata i'm not throwing her away, just changing her motifs a little i guess? She has a crush on Naruto yes, after him being away for so long she has time to work on herself and find herself more. She does like him but it isn't what's going to make her happy. It isn't because i don't like Naruto/Hinata it's cute it's alright but it doesn't make sense even if i haven't seen the movies or episodes that show it. I feel like Hinata needs to do some self reflecting. Naruto is a huge inspiration to her, she's watched him train, become who he is but those two with a family together isn't something i can see happening even if it canonly happened, when i first got into this i didn't see it coming. So in my story Hinata is happy living her best life being single, watching her friends be happy together has brought her so much peace, even watching Naruto be happy with Shikamaru. (I wanna plan a talk she has with Shikamaru about his crush on Naruto and them discussing their feelings about Naruto so Shikamaru doesn't feel like he just took Naruto from her since from his point of view it looks like she liked him first but Shikamaru's had a crush on Naruto since he meet him, Shikamaru met Naruto first. ) I also have an idea of Hinata just wanting to be a single mother in Boruto, and Naruto/Shikamaru adopting and teaching a orphan both their Jutsu's turbsdfuvbhrsu IT'LL BE SO CUTE

I feel pretty neutral about Sai/Ino, not because I think they are madly in love or anything but in Boruto I like the dynamic I saw of them, plus inojin is my favorite kid so I'm biased here… But I'm also super down for a Sai/Sakura/Ino, with mostly Sakura being the bridge between them!!!

For me, Ino would be a lesbian who had to deal with a lot of compulsory heterosexuality, so she forced herself to have a crush on Sasuke when they were kids because that's just what girls are supposed to do, but after a small breakdown after a fight with sakura she talks to her parents and surprisingly it's them that tell her that she might have a crush on her and they tell her that it's okay if she feels that way and that there is nothing wrong with her.

I think it's pretty accurate that Sakura would be a little reluctant to accept that, but eventually, she does understand that she's bisexual and things become a little easier for her to figure out what she wants and who she wants to be! [Discovering non-monogamy/polyamory is a whole other can of worms so I'm not gonna get into that here unless you want me to!!]

I'M SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP NEJI AND SHIKAMARU. Okay I know they're not your main pairing but a few years ago I read a fic of them that to this day has a place in my brain, I will leave linked it here if you're interested

But yes, for our shikanaru endgame purpose, Neji is very perceptive so he kind of always knew he never really had a chance here, he backs off, and eventually, his feelings for someone else grow which is how we get to neji/lee!!

Also thank you for the fic rec, I'll try to give it a read soon <3 Sasuke and suigetsu is such an interesting ship, I never got into them fully but their dynamic is so fun!

I like your take on Hinata, for me, i ship her with Kiba, he was so in love with her it's crazy, I don't know if you noticed the signs but they would have so much potential, honestly a throuple with shino would work too. But I also really like your take on her talking it out with shikamaru and realizing that her feelings for Naruto lean more toward admiration than actual romantic love, would love for her to have a happy life, would also really adore seeing her become the head of the Hyuuga clan and start making the changes Naruto promised Neji he would do it (and he never actually did it)!!

I would even say that since the illusion is finally dissolved, the earth is shaken and characters like Neji or Kisame are suddenly alive (I need Kisame for Suigetsu haha). So yes, a world with chakra magic can make something like that possible. (who knows maybe even the Zetsus who killed people were already part of the illusion). What would be your idea, how would the story change over time if Karin becomes a Biju in this context, her relationship with Taka and/Sasuke etc.

😪 well, this is not something I have an answer ready for haha sorry, I like Karin but she's not amongst my faves so as I said before, I had not that much ideas about her.

In this context, my main worry is what would become of her. Because we know all of the villages would want her to keep as a weapon (specially since she's not from any specific village). In the best case, if they all agree to "share" her, she would still be objectified and kept as a weapon, not really treated as a person.

So my best take on this is Sasuke would try to hide the fact that she's the Juubi's jinchuriki. If Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi got awake in time to see it as well, then Sasuke would have to convince them too. I'd like to think both Sasuke and Naruto awake at the same time though (I respect your opinion and hey, this is your AU, but IMO Sasuke is not stronger than Naruto at this time, although I have nothing to say about him being smarter lol). So, let's continue with this suggestion. If they both awake at the same time, but somehow only Sasuke sees Karin's suffering (this might be possible if you make that related to Sharingan or Rinnegan if you're keeping Sasuke's), then I think they both would try to protect her and hide her from the Kages. Sasuke would be like, "we need to help her" and Naruto would be like "I know". Sasuke then wonders if Naruto saw that too and Naruto answers that he doesn't need to, since he knows on his own skin what is like to be a Jinchuriki and he has made a goal of himself not to let anyone go through that suffering again. Then maybe Naruto asks what did Sasuke mean with "seeing it" btw, and Sasuke might or might not admit the change of his feelings towards Karin, but he would confirm what he saw (and in a way this would unite Sasuke and Naruto more, working together to protect Karin).

Revolutionary fighters

While the organization was founded in Ame with the goal of freeing Ame from The Salamender, it soon started recruiting outside of Ame borders, especially clanless people - but also Uzumakis, and a weird assortment of kids from Old clans. Most members reject the old order, and some even resent the Old clans personally - the result is that, while their immediate goal is to take Ame from The Salamender and put it in the hands of the people, a lot of the revolutionary fighters with no ties to this country are thinking about exporting the revolution themselves.

Sakura (as mentioned in this post) joined the fighters through the introduction of Uzumaki Kushina. She quickly became close to two other girls who had joined the organization earlier. As she had learned to fight with Kushina and was in fact quite good at it, she joined the fighting branch, under the orders of revolutionary leader Dragon (Uzumaki Nagato). (Other branch is the intelligence one, lead by revolutionary leader Butterfly. Revolutionary leader Bird is on his own at The Salamender’s side, trying very hard not to scream at and/or kill the man.) Her fighting style is very direct and brutal.

Out of the two girls befriended by Sakura, Tenten is the one other fighter. She was orphaned at a young age during a clan war - her village was in the way and suspected of hosting spies from the other side. She doesn’t remember which clan it was that burned her village down, but it doesn’t matter anymore to her - she has completely embraced the ideals of the revolution and believes clans to be inherently destructive. She joined the organization after meeting Butterfly by chance. Her fighting style is all about effectiveness.

I mentioned the odd Old clan revolutionaries - Karin is one of those. While she is an Uzumaki, she didn’t get the opportunity to learn the ways of the clan as much as she could’ve, because she got taken as a child by Orochimaru. She doesn’t know (doesn’t remember) if her parents were still alive then or not. Despite being mostly ignorant of the techniques developped by her peers to manipulate souls, she remains very capable and is a bit of an autodidact in this field. Mostly, she only looks at souls or breaks them. She resents Orochimaru for depriving her of her heritage. As an Uzumaki, she is cursed to never stay in one place for long, and as such could only be a part of the intelligence branch. She admires Butterfly greatly, and often travels with her two co-escapees.

Suigetsu comes from and Old clan with the ability to turn into water, which makes him ideal for intelligence gathering and/or for assassinations. Not that the revolution needs a lot of these for now. Because Orochimaru kept him confined to a small countainer, he is now absolutely panicked by closed spaces and spends as much time as he can outside. While Karin is single-minded to the point of sometimes being insensitive, Suigetsu is single-minded, but insensitive on purpose. Actually a great listener, though he usually uses that ability to trick people. This makes him a great friend of Juugo though, and the best person to mediate between Karin and Juugo (though at first they really got together because they were the only three to escape).

Juugo now. Born with the ability to speak with animals, he is also a good fit for intelligence gathering. While with Orochimaru, he went along greatly with Kimimaro and misses him to this day. He doesn’t like speaking, to the point that many people believe him to be mute. Too much noise makes him angry and even violent, though no one can say for sure if it is a result of the gods’ blessings turning to curses, or just of trauma from Orochimaru’s “care”. Physically strong, though he mostly uses that strength to hold Suigetsu and Karin (and later Neji) in a hug.

While most revolutionaries bear a tattoo in the shape of the Eyes of Gods, it is not a requirement and some prefer to not get one. That is the case of Neji, once he manages to escape the Hyuugas after the death of his father. Marked as a Hyuuga slave by the caged bird symbol, he refuses to let a needle touch his skin again. His far-sight and cleverness makes him a good complement to Suigetsu and Juugo’s own abilities, and he quickly becomes the new brain of the team once Karin leaves with Kushina for a time.

Sasuke HCS (side note HE DID NOTHING WRONG)

-Flexes the fact that he’s taller than Naruto (He’s 5’6” >:D)

-He actually started liking Naruto when he saw what Naruto would do for him

-Hates the fact that Naruto actually is better at him in swimming

-Sasuke’s glad Sakura got over him

-When he was younger he didn’t like Sakura at all though

-Had a rocky relationship with his brother a few years ago

-Broke Obito’s arm once and he���ll do it again!!

-Speaking of his stupid cousin, Tobito pisses him off regularly

-Has ASPD(antisocial personality disorder) but is getting better after Naruto found him a therapist (aka his aunt)

-Naruto has called him “Sasugay” a lot and it just stuck. Kakashi calls him that too

-He retaliates with “Usuratonkachi” but it never hits the same as “Sasugay”

-Has been called “Sausage” by both Obito and Shisui. He’s fine with Shisui but not with Tobito

-Karin bothers him a lot so Sasuke usually shrugs her off when the Taka is over. They talk, but it’s in the friend way(when she's not being a weird fangirl)

-Suigetsu’s cool though. And Juugo

-He’s seen Suigetsu’s dick once 💀

-Very competitive. Like really-

-Probably because his parents(father) valued Itachi more than him 😭

-Plays basketball competitively and is super good at it lolol

-Dark humor. Enough said

-Has painted nails (purple, red, and black)

-Very emo. Used to be depressed too but therapy helps. (plus his bf)

-Suigetsu has smacked him with a wooden board twice.

-Pulls all nighters out of his ass on a daily basis

-Fractured his arm once 

-He knows how to do a handstand 

-Sasuke really hates children.

-Gets praised as a genius but really is dense with fEeLinGs

- Sasuke when he’s pissed: “You’re being just like Sakura now” (he don’t mean it 😭)

-HATES Gaara. Made the poor dude cry once 

-Regularly gets into fistfights(“trains”) with Neji and they’re tied 45-45 right now

-Orochimaru is SUPER creepy around him. The snek came for a visit and this somehow led to Naruto violently punching Orochimaru??

-Never got over being defeated by Rock Lee 💀

-Thinks his uncle(Madara) is really weird

-Also constantly brands him as the ‘gay uncle’ so go figure-

-Manages to roast Sakura even though he doesn’t hate her anymore: (he’s more chill with her since she got over him but he roasts her a lot too[“Maybe you would be smarter if you used your big brain for once?”]— these three are when they were kids)

- “Sasuke-kun! Do you think I’m pretty or ugly?” “Both.” “Huh?” You’re pretty ugly.”

- “Sasuke-kun! I-” “Oi, Naruto, do you hear something?”

- “Sakura…” “Yes, Sasuke-k-” “Do you have a forehead or a fivehead?”

-He’s an ultra gay ;)

-*backflips from the table* “I’m gay.” *Naruto dying in the background*

For how the naruto characters smell like :

Kakashi + Kiba= like wet dogs.

Jiriya= perfume, sugar and all things nice cuz he hangs around ladies.

Tsunade= smells like alchohol and every drink there is. ( maybe cigarettes as well)

Shikamaru = smells like smoke (due to the cigarretes.)

Ino= she always smells like she wears rich perfume ( this is because she works in a flower shop)

Choji = food ( kinda obvious), but its a really welcoming smell like when you bake cookies, or make cake mixture or coffee in the morning or when your mom/dad makes your favourite food all combined into one.

Suigetsu = pool water

Kurenai = i was gunna say flowers but because she has a kid she probably smells like nappies, milk and that really nice baby smell evry newborn has.

Juugo = smells like a mix of every animal since they come to him like magnets. Smells like the woods as well.

Kabuto = smells like the smell you smell when you enter a hospital or dentist ( like antiseptic, bleach, pills, maybe toothpaste), or when you mop the floor.

Orochimaru = cant decide whether he smells like kabuto, sour (cuz of the snakes) or perfume. He probably smells like herbal teas and stuff as well.

Garaa = dirt. ( no offense) he lives in a desert and carries a ton of sand w him.

Gai + lee = Minty toothpaste, these a reason their teeth are blinding white.

Neji = herbals teas as well.

Itachi = smells like chickens and fried eggs, along w sweet and sour smells. ( what else am i suppose to think after that OVA)

Kisame = snells like fish at the market ( along w pool water)

Sai = smells like pages of a new book along with paints.

Deidara = smoke ( blowing things up all the time he cant smell of anything else), he also smells of play dough.

Konan = smells like makeup ( actually, i dont know of make up has a smell, ive not worn any but if it has a smell...)

Karin = i have an idea that i dont wanna say.

What if Naruto had joined Obito and Madara after Neji’s death?

The Kages wake up and the first thing they see is Naruto standing between Madara and Obito. He seems to be giving a speech. Gaara is still a bit groggy and the only thing he understands is that Naruto is still alive and well.

More "de-aged Taka and T7 end up in the Warring Clans Era as Founders' wards" AU

“That’s a thing?” you ask. The answer is yes.

Uh. Kind of. Deaging Team Seven for the sake of tossing them back in time for a Founder to adopt is pretty common, but I’m trash for Taka so this AU started with me brainstorming the asshole team.

I am falling more and more in love with the idea of Tobirama ending up with custody of Team Taka somehow. He’s a science dad, but like. Marginally more ethical than Orochimaru.

Everyone around them is like "This is a terrible idea and it's all going to end horribly" and he's just like "Ah, these are now my children."

I've read so many "Team Seven time-travels and is de-aged, get adopted by the Founders" or "a Founder time-travels forward and adopts Naruto, subsequently picking up the others" and they're good but I now want the same plot with an even more dysfunctional collection of... eldritch mishaps? The AO3 feel of "I want this fic I just read, again, but a step to the left so it feels fresh and new"

I'm considering the tent of tranquility idea (courtesy of @sloaners​) and I've come to the decision that Tobirama's... probably going to end up with Several Holes in it, and burns, and cuts, because Karin and Suigetsu never stop fighting, and if they're fighting, they're not paying attention to how soon Juugo's going to lose his grip on control.

"Hm. Tobirama?" "Anija." "Where did you get children?" "They showed up." "One of them looks like an Uchiha." "He does." "Two of them are trying to kill each other." "That's normal." They’re assholes but Karin is, even at Supposedly Age Three, babbling at Tobirama about proper lab protocol and chemical reactions and isn’t that just the most adorable thing?

Very few people find Karin as adorable as Tobirama does, because Karin knows more ways to kill a person than most adult shinobi, because most adult shinobi don’t know about things like flesh-eating diseases and specialty poisons from the other side of the continent that can only be refined via chemical processes that won’t exist for another three decades.

Juugo is a sweetheart. Best child. Then he loses his mind but it’s okay, Sasuke is there. Do the Senju trust the clearly-Uchiha child to control the much larger five-year-old? No. But they don’t have any better ideas right now, so.

Tobirama: Hm, we should do something about that. Karin: Here’s a list of ideas and things that have already been tried. Tobirama: Thank you, small child. Where did you get this? Karin: ... Tobirama: Fair enough, let’s see what we can do.

Suigetsu is a little terror because not only is he a Massive Jerk but he also has better control over water than most adults. Mostly because he is water. It’s very hard to find him when he’s avoiding chores.

Karin clings to Mito sometimes because Family! and then Hashirama tries to tease Tobirama about being upset that one of his students/children has ditched him. Hashirama ends up moping in a corner because Tobirama snaps at him, unsurprisingly.

IDK if we have like any canon for Touka beyond skill with genjutsu, but going off of the fanon that she used a naginata, I’m going to say that Suigetsu keeps trying to challenge her to Blade Fights and she’s just like Neat, A Tiny Murder Machine.

Sasuke is very quiet for the most part and Dramatically Broods On Rooftops And In Trees and Hashirama is just like YES YOU REMIND ME OF MY BROTHER AND ALSO MY BEST FRIEND and Sasuke hides.

Sasuke does not need another Naruto, thank you.

Sasuke ends up hanging out with Mito, I think? Like yeah, sure, she’s an Uzumaki, but she’s chill and refined and calm and she has really good tea in stock. Sure he has to learn fuuinjutsu to have an excuse to hang out with her, but that’s fine. It’s interesting. Karin does it too, sometimes.

tbh that probably leaves Hashirama to hang out with Juugo? Juugo isn’t great at Excite but he is great at nature so I feel like Hashirama would be stars-in-eyes about Juugo talking to birds the way Hashirama talks to trees, and Hashirama just gets him a chicken coop like HERE. FRIENDS.

But back to the suspected child theft.

Hashirama is like “That is... clearly an Uchiha. They are going to find out, Tobirama! Someone is going to figure out we have--” “Sasuke, show him your other eye. Yeah, the one you cover.” “...” “Okay, go back to playing.” “...Tobirama.” “Yeah?” “That was a Rinnegan.” “You know those rumors that the only way to get a Rinnegan is to mix the Uchiha and Senju bloodlines?” “It’s true?” “No idea, Sasuke won’t tell me anything about his parents other than their names, and he’s three, but even the chance of it being true means we have an arguable claim.” “...that’s not going to be enough to convince the Uchiha.” “The theory is but one weapon of many in the upcoming battle of wits.” “Tobirama--” “Now if you’ll excuse me, Anija, I need to go make sure Suigetsu doesn’t flood the training grounds again.”

tbh I can’t remember who made the original comment in canon about the Rinnegan being achieved via Senju/Uchiha babies but it’s funny to use here so I’ll pretend it’s a common rumor that nobody actually believes

MEANWHILE WITH THE UCHIHA Madara found and took custody of Team Seven and company, mostly because they’re like... jounin-level despite being less than three feet tall.

It involves a lot of Madara going "I want My New Children to love me!" and being sorely disappointed by half of them. Poor fucker got stuck with Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Kakashi, Yamato, and Obito.

(KakaYamaObito are deaged by the time-travel to 10-13ish. The kids are deaged to 3-4. Everyone has memories to just after the fourth war or so.)

Karin sensed T7 and tagalong pretty much the second they popped out of Kamui, and told Sasuke, but he correctly guessed that Naruto would hunt him down eventually, and said they should enjoy the peace and quiet while they had it.

Sai pulls emotionless creepy smiles in an attempt to freak out Madara but since Madara's whole thing initially was "less children in war," he's... mostly just sad. Izuna wants to know who made his brother cry.

Madara makes a vaguely misogynistic comment that's typical for the period and Sakura just. Breaks his tibia.

Naruto is genuinely trying to treat Madara with the kind of respect a caretaker that Attempts To Care And Do Good By Them deserves, because Naruto is a good egg, but he's... three again. Which means he's a Hellion.

The literal toddlers (Naruto and Sakura are three-ish, Sai is four-ish) are, in fact, toddlers, so nobody really expects them to be able to do anything. Nobody bothers to test them beyond the basics of like. Can walk? Can talk? Can maybe hold knife? Like don’t get me wrong, they’re very competent toddlers, but their hands can barely wrap around a kunai. Their bodies are tiny. Their bones only just stopped being soft!

That said, the “tweens” (re: adults who got deaged but Less) have to get tested for their skills. Kakashi downplays himself to what he imagines a semi-competent eleven-year-old to be capable of. He thinks of, like, Neji maybe? Good, but not suspiciously good.

Obito enters an intangible state and refuses to participate. He has a Mangekyo. His body is half-Zetsu. Stop bothering him. He doesn’t want to do anything. They assign him babysitting duty for Team Seven since he can obviously defend pretty well, and Kakashi vouches for his abilities as a fighter.

Yamato decides to try to be just a little worse than Kakashi but at one point he panics and does Mokuton on instinct and now the entire Uchiha compound is screeching because did they just steal a Main Family Senju kid by accident?

Yamato: Should I tell them I was a science experiment? Kakashi: No.

Pranks galore! None of the other time-travelers even try to stop Naruto, except maybe Yamato.

Obito at the Uchiha compound is mostly "I don't want to participate" and then just uses Kamui to be intangible until people leave him alone. If it's not another time-traveler or Madara, he's not interested. He doesn't even care that much about Sai or Yamato, actually, so if it's not an original T7 member, he doesn't care, and if it's Madara, he's just here to make things Difficult.

The Kyuubi wanders up to the Uchiha compound one day and everyone's preparing for a battle, even Madara isn't confident that he can-- [BANG] "KURAMA!" [delighted squealing]

Naruto now has a pet. The entire clan is terrified. Kurama pokes his nose at Naruto's stomach and disappears into the memory of a seal.

Madara, frantically writing a letter to Hashirama "What do I do if my toddler is possessed?!?"

Hashirama: You have a toddler?!?!?! OMG you should organize playdates with Tobirama's kids! Madara: I'M GOING TO QUESTION THAT LATER, PLEASE HELP WITH THE POSSESSION THING

Kurama hunts down Naruto, and the Jinchuuriki situation is very much in the realm of "Dis Mine" Also a bit of "If I'm in the brat, there's at least one Mangekyo user in hearing distance who can and will risk his life to prevent brainwashing. (Kakashi. It’s Kakashi.)

Naruto: Kurama's one of my best friends! Every time traveler: Yeah, that tracks. Madara: [teakettle screeching]

Everybody else: Cool so Madara adopted a witch Uchiha Elders: We need to be careful of this horrible creature The younger generation of Uchiha: Okay that was weirdly serene and adorable and frankly the brat is really likeable when he's not being adhd as hell I think this is actually pretty dope.

Madara really wants to be a Good Dad but he has no idea how he ended up being "a dad" in the first place. He just! He cares a lot about this random assortment of kids! Some of them are from prominent clans and there should be search parties for the Senju kid with the Mokuton, or the Hatake brat, or the Uzumaki that doesn't look Uzumaki but definitely feels Uzumaki.... and SURE the only Uchiha of the bunch is a stranger who hates him for no reason Madara can come up with, but! He wants to be a good authority figure!

At least the Uzumaki appreciates that he's trying.

Seriously, though, there are clan kids and nobody’s looking for them, what’s up with that?

Kakashi still has a prize copy of Icha Icha and nobody in the Uchiha compound does a thorough check of his reading material until like three months in.

He is blamed for Naruto developing the Oiroke, because where ELSE would a toddler get such ideas? (Yamato and Obito both tell him he brought this on himself.)

Naruto waits until a Big Important Meeting lets out, something about tithes or a merchant contract, and just pulls a Harem no Jutsu in front of the entire group of Elders And Main Family. First he does a Mass Shadow Clone, which makes everyone turn on Sharingan because Fancy New Techniques to steal! Sure, they were late on the shadow clones, but the kid is clearly gearing up for something! The something is Oiroke.

Anime Nosebleeds everywhere. Most of the elders were hit. Izuna was hit. Madara is not bleeding from the nose, but he is very upset about having semi-accidentally sharingan-memorized his weird adoptee’s Sexy Older Female Alter Ego. There is yelling.

Naruto’s like “Oh, I missed some!” and decides to try again with Reverse Harem no Jutsu because there are old ladies among the Elders, and maybe some straight women representing a guild, and maybe some gay guys he missed! Madara is still not bleeding. (He’s very demi and tbh Naruto only would have succeeded if he’d tried to use Hashirama’s face. Naruto does not know this. He just figures Madara is ace like Sasuke and that no variant is going to work.)

Izuna gets another nosebleed and is just like “Well, this is not how I planned on coming out as bi, but--” “Izuna, I literally do not care about you being bi as long as one of us has an heir at some point, I’m more upset about the fact that my child has been corrupted!”

Back in the Senju compound, there is... a lot of screaming, honestly, but every time Karin and Suigetsu start trying to kill each other again, Tobirama just shrugs and tells them not to break anything.

Very easy-going caretaker, really. He's got some very deadly toddlers in hand, but they're still just toddlers.

Sasuke: Yeah, I might want to go see my clan at some point. Suigetsu: Yeah, I might want to go see my clan at some point. Karin, clinging to Mito: Yeah, I want to go see my clan at some point. Juugo: Please never, ever take me to my clan. Ever. Please. I'll stay with Sasuke, thank you.

Naruto breaks out of the Uchiha compound the first time he enters Sage Mode, several months in (it took a while to get the privacy) because he feels Sasuke and lbr if Naruto knows where Sasuke is, nothing will stop him.

The Uchiha clansmen cannot catch the errant toddler. They fail to inform Madara until Naruto is already in Senju territory because nobody wanted to admit the toddler outmaneuvered them.

Naruto wasn’t sure how to get into the Senju Compound safely so he just goes full Kyuubi, bounds over the wall screaming SASUKEEEEE at the top of his lungs, and then shrinks back down to Tiny Brat size so he could hug his Bestest Friend Ever and cling like a limpet while Sasuke just sighs and stares at the wall.

Sakura ran after him.

Sai painted a bird and Yamato dragged Kakashi onto it to chase Naruto, because Kakashi is at a point of zen regarding Naruto's bullshit and fully trusts the kid to not die.

Obito refuses to look up from whatever he's doing and asks people why they think he cares.

“We told you to look after the toddlers!” “Why would you do that? Seems like poor planning on your part.”

Disappears when nobody's looking. Waits until the Ruckus at the Senju compound (where T7 has crashed in to tackle-hug Sasuke and Madara followed in and proceeded to get shouty, and nobody's dead or battling because they're too confused and also it's a comedy) has started to calm down, and then teleports in and demonstrates Mokuton just to make Madara's life harder when the Senju Elders start demanding answers.

His energy is very "I am here to make Madara's life harder" and Madara still doesn't know what he did wrong.

Madara: That brat has a Sharingan! Tobirama: Well THAT one has Mokuton! Obito: Yamato has it too. [angry teakettle noises]

Madara's first response to seeing Sasuke is to turn to Izuna and point aggressively at the toddler while making a tea-kettle noise "He looks just like you!" "He's four, he barely looks like anything!"

Naruto, tugging at Madara's hakama: You need to make a village with Hashirama so I can see Sasuke more often, cuz I don't wanna ditch you guys, but I gotta see Sasuke! He's my best friend! Madara, who is aware that he could fight this child but really doesn't want to, and also knows that a tantrum thrown by Naruto or Sasuke is capable of leveling mountains: Right, yes, we'll get right on that.

tbh Madara wants the village anyway but "The bijuu-whisperer said he wants it to happen" is a great way to push things forward.

How It Should Have Ended Naruto Edition. What would you have changed and why?

- Neji would have lived, Hiashi would have died in his place. That would have been a much more meaningful death. He and Tenten would live happily ever after and have no kids and laugh at all their friends changing poopy diapers.

- People?? Would not?? All have babies in the exact same year??

- Yamato would NOT have to go out and chase after the source of all the trauma in his life but would instead partake in the arrest and execution of Orochimaru who 100% deserves it and then live happily ever after.

- Instead of chasing after this dream that clearly will never and did never come true Sakura would grow up to realize Sausage just isn’t good for her and would fall in love with someone who actually supports and openly loves her. (Am I biased? Is it Kakashi? Yes to both.)

- Sausage does not get to go on his stupid exile self pity tour but stays in Konoha and gets some motherfucking therapy like he so clearly needs.

- Naruto is the best fucking god damn father you have ever heard of. Clones? They can do all the work for him. He can make a hundred clones and stay updated on everything happening in the village while his real self stays home all day every day giving his kids the loving childhood he never got himself.

- Anko stays a bad ass kunoichi. Maybe she still gains weight, maybe not. The Akimichi sure prove that just because you’ve got a little padding doesn’t mean you can’t be good in a fight. She likes to drop by the academy and tell Iruka all about her wild mission adventures and proclaim that his life must be boring in comparison. 

- Temari stays her true intelligent and abrasive self but she goes on missions because she truly enjoys it. She is not a housewife. She does not threaten her husband with going to bed without dinner. Shikamaru is a grown ass man and cooks his own damn dinner when he needs to. They raise their child to to be a true Nara who drinks respect women juice for breakfast every morning and whose one true dream is to break the world record for napping.

- All the next gen children actually spend time with their parents and LEARN about their parents, train with their parents, and there is no stupidity about not knowing who their real father is or doubting who their parents really are or any such nonsense. 

- In his capacity as Hokage Kakashi would focus on finding ways to support the mental health of his shinobi so that no one ever has to go through the sort of trauma like he did alone. Ino would use her position as the Head of T&I to help him standardize therapy as something all shinobi have access to and create a regimen of psychological reviews that everyone must pass before being allowed on the field after a traumatic event. 

- Kiba would help this effort by suggesting therapy dogs. He would become the head of this project and love his life forever.

- We would actually get to see Ino taking Sai under her wing to help him grow as a human being then the way they accidentally fall in love along the way.

- Hanabi would become the head of the Hyuga clan and humbly request her sister’s help in abolishing the practice of the Caged Bird Seal. 

- Konohamaru would be set on track to realize his own dream of becoming Hokage once Naruto decides to step down and focus on his family

- Suigetsu and Karin would be best friends and travel the world together experiencing things for the sheer joy of living life on their own terms. Karin would get to build a relationship with Naruto as each others’ last living distant relatives, she would visit quite often. Probably hates his kids. He probably thinks it’s hilarious.

- Kakashi’s ninken would all retire and choose to live out their lives taking up space in the Hokage’s office or wherever he happens to be. 

- Gaara would not get a combover. Ever. 

- Mei would have been allowed to finally realize there is more to life than marriage and spend her retirement traveling around with Tsunade. 

- When he retired as well Kakashi would secretly continue the Icha Icha series and publish it under a pen name. Everyone knows it’s him. No one says a thing. All of them are too busy weeping in to their pillows over his beautiful prose. (Weeping with laughter. He’d be a terrible author.)

Whenever a character in naruto dies (or I feel like it) I simply pretend they have retired

Yamato, itachi, kakashi, and gai have a nice little farm/orchard,

but gai and kakashi are basically always going on their "2nd" honeymoon

so itachi ends up making kisame move in too so he can help out.

Guren and yukimaru are also there, running a flower stand to get a lil extra income.

Kimimaro visits and buys all of their flowers very often.

He runs a very lucrative "ivory" business bc no one knows it's him ivory. He just grows bone flowers and people pay a lot of money for it for some reason

He also sells tools and local craftsmen love him bc they're very high quality

He doesn't kill people anymore

He did reunite with orochimaru for a minute and was praised it was very heartwarming

Jiraiya runs a hot springs just a town over but comes to pick kakashis brain every so often

Asuma is the only one who can fix the damned tractor so he and kurenai come once a month or so

Yes he can grow trees but he's just one dude give him a break

Shikaku and inoichi run a lil dojo with hanzo and mifune. Well, it's actually three rival dojos but there are only like three students and also only one good spot to spar bc sasuke breaks stuff

Minato and Kushina are just being great grandparents somewhere bc even though they got brought back by the edo tensei they just wanna be a part of a big family of dumbasses

The ninten love the farm it's very big and sometimes they get to pop out of nowhere and give people heart attacks

Pakkun has decided he is not a farm dog and likes to stay near the house when he's there

Bulldog though, loves it

He might live there 24/7 no one's sure

Fuu and naruto make all the jinchuriki get together every so often it's very awkward but nice

Fuu, naruto, and gaara get along best though- they are good friends

Shikamaru likes to come and pick apples with choji when they can

Obviously lee visits gai sensei all the time

Jugo and suigetsu run a little fish nursery and kisame helps them out when the farm gets too crowded

Nagato, yahiko, and konan mostly just travel but they do drop in on jiraiya when they're in the area

Jiraiya makes them pose for Christmas cards in froggy footie pajamas every year

Summary : This one week of break after 3 months of winning the 4th Ninja War will be interesting for Sakura, as she met the man who caused it all, but instantly changed directions after seeing the cherry pink haired kunoichi roaming around the Land of Mist.

Circumstances

Third Person POV :

It was 3 months after the 4th Great Ninja War has ended, people were traumatized and scared until now, others have long forgotten about the past and stayed with the present, while others disappeared on who-knows-where. Medical Ninjas were stabilizing people and children that had traumas in that situation. Medical team Sakura, Ino, Shizune, Tsunade and Hinata were in charge on taking care of each level of the Hospital. Sakura was in charge of any Physical Help, Ino was incharge of Mental Help using her Mind-Tranfer Jutsu, Shizune and Tsunade were in charge of any help, and Hinata was incharge for chakra help using her byakugan.

Ino was slacking off a little because of what happened to her father, Inoichi.

Hinata was dating Naruto for almost a month now. But hardly moved on with Neji’s death.

Shizune was still taking care of the hospital.

Tsunade was thinking on resigning as the Godaime and make Kakashi as a candidate as Rokudaime.

And Sakura. She was 17 now.

But.

Sakura didn’t know anything anymore.

All she did is.

Heal.

Fight.

Heal.

Fight.

Everything just repeats. It was getting boring, but she had to serve the village.

How she wishes that Naruto will always bother her.

How Sasuke will always call her ‘annoying’.

How Kakashi will just look at her while reading his Icha Icha. But every one of those just vanished on her own very eyes.

She hasn’t seen Naruto after a week Sasuke left.

Sasuke left the village to atone for his ‘sins’.

And Kakashi just was too troublesome to think of, many emotions that can’t be described behind that mask.

I guess the 4th Ninja war really took a big toll on her, even if Sasuke says he’s sorry for everything despite the fact he almost killed her multiple times and brought her to a heavy genjutsu, just hurts to eternity. She has never seen an such obsolete human, so cruel, so evil yet it makes him look pathetic.

Naruto probably didn’t even care about her anymore since he had Hinata but she still missed his Joyful and Loud voice.

Kakashi probably didn’t care for her too anymore, it’s considered that she can be promoted to Jounin within the year.

Sakura POV; in her mind :

“Forget Sasuke. He doesn’t care about you, he left you after only 1 week staying in Konoha, he probably will come back with a son/daughter next, or probably a wife, who knows? Pfft, Don’t let him take advantage of you this time.”

Inner spoke in my mind.

After all, I guess it’s all true, I do think it’s time to let go of these feelings. It isn’t worth it anymore, years of loving and patience, all gone to waste. But I know I dont care about it anymore. Everything is the truth, the truth does hurt.

“I guess you’re right. You will always be with me right?” Sakura spoke

“Of course Sa-ku-ra, I’m stuck with you and your mind forever, so that leaves me no choice you know?” Inner talked. And chuckled afterwards.

“Yeah, yeah, don’t get too cocky”. She said as she rolled her eyes.

“Forehead? You there?” Ino said as she walked past by her.

“H-huh? O-oh yeah! I’m fine.” ‘Completely and obviously not!’

“Are you sure? You’ve been dozing off for quite sometime now. I would’ve used my jutsu to check on what’s going on with your big head”.

“Don’t even dare Pig.” She shot a glance at Ino that made her head sweat.

“Fine, fine, just tell me what’s going on next time, I won’t be too patient Billboard Brow.” Ino said sarcastically.

“Yeah, yeah, anyways, what time is it?”

“It’s almost past noon forehead, I was waiting for you to pick up lunch with me until I saw your gaze completely gone from earth.”

‘Crazy forehead girl’.

“Well why didn’t you say it now? Let’s go!”

They laughed as they went running from the hospital and going around the streets of Konoha just to reach Naruto’s Favorite place to eat.

At Ichiraku’s Ramen

“Ino pig, aren’t you eating too much?” She laughed while sipping her noodles as Ino’s soup made her choke by her words.

“HEY! DON’T MOCK ME. AND SAYS THE ONE WHO ATE 3 BOWLS OF RAMEN OFFERED BY NARUTO AND DIDN’T DECLINE!” Ino shouted at her frantically.

“Alright alright geez, your anger issues are taking a poll on you ya know? You’re getting as angry as me.” Sakura said while grinding her teeth.

“Hmph, fine, but you’re paying today, it’s your fault i’m angry like this.”

“Cheeky pig.”

‘Heh, fell right into my trap.’

Ino snorted afterwards.

“Earth to sakura? Hello???”

As Sakura heard her bestfriends voice, her mind came back to reality.

“oh yeah, Hey!”

“Sakura, are you sure nothing is bothering you? You seem a little… distressed.”

Distressed? Maybe.

De-arranged? Yeah sure.

“I’m fine Ino, i’m really fine, there’s nothing I am worrying about, I’m just really stressed like you said, maybe the hospital is just too much for me right now.”

“Oh yea, Lady Tsunade said there is an opening tomorrow for people who wants to take a break for 3 days - 1 month, maybe you want to take a break? I can take your patients if you want.”

“I think that will be nice, I’ll think about it.”

“We should eat our ramen Forehead, it’s getting cold.” Ino said as she got annoyed.

Sakura nodded as a response.

‘The same as always.’

After 2 hours of bonding with Ino, she actually got satisfied. She actually felt happy for once.

She’s happy she’s there with her, she’s happy atleast Ino was by her side.

And she actually will take Ino’s word on taking a break, she’ll maybe need it.

She was actually surprised she hasn’t seen that annoying little yellow haired boy in the streets of Konoha. What is that little fox upto?

Walking the streets of Konoha after another 2 hours of going back to the hospital, she was going back to her apartment. In a flick of her eyes, she saw a tall, busty blonde and a black haired female just about the size of her. She saw Tsunade-Sama and Shizune-san near her apartment. Thinking of what’s going on, she knows it’s about her.

She chuckled, this night will be interesting.

Seeing the two females

“Tsunade-sama? Shizune-san? What happened For you guys to pass by?”

“Ah, Sakura, welcome back, anyways I have received a letter that Uchiha Sasuke will be returning in a week, so I maybe thought to inform you and Naruto to escort him through Konoha at night, of course, Genma and the others staying at the gate won’t interfere, I have already noticed them about your appearance next week.”

Sakura’s eyes widened at what Tsunade just said. ‘That can’t be possible, why did he even come back for? To become a Konoha nin again? That isn’t right.’

“A-ah Tsunade-Sama, he is really coming back isn’t he?”

Tsunade Nodded.

“Ah I see, I understand on what we are going to do, I’ll ask Naruto instead about this, you should be going to the Hokage Office Tsunade-Sama, It’s getting dark.”

“Alright, I pass you this. This is the mission scroll, and yes, this is a mission, an A-Rank one to be exact. And also this. This is the form you’re going to need for next week, it’s not any form Sakura, this is a form of seals that can be used as a sealing technique, originating from my grandmother’s clan, the uzumaki clan, using this fuinjutsu.”

“That’s very interesting Tsunade-Sama, I’ll hold onto this.”

“Come to my office tomorrow at 8 am sharp to discuss this with Naruto.”

“Hai, Tsunade-Sama. Also- Wait!”

“Hm?”

“I heard from Ino that you’re accepting people to take a leave so maybe I thought I’ll get one, i also want to take a small break from the hospital please? Like only 1 week?”

“Hm, I’ll consider it and will discuss with you this tomorrow, I also think it will be a good time before you leaving to go get Sasuke. More like a preparation, very well Sakura, I’ll see you tomorrow.

“H-Hai!”

She hoped Naruto will be in his house or she’ll have to call on Tsunade again telling that he wasn’t seen that day. And had gone to atoms.

His question is a familiar one. A well-known thought that often used to circle her mind when despairing against her failures. Her father's disappointment, her sister's strength, and Neji's....d-death.

To verbalize what has always been thoughts and soft whispers meant for her ears is hard. Her pulse skipping and palms warming.

Closing her eyes to release a slow breath, she bites her lip to figure out the thoughts, giving them life beyond her mind.

She finds the words are stuck in her throat, almost shy of presenting them to him. Gripping the edge of her pants, her lips purse trying to find a way to polish these words. They are newborn, sticky and covered in fluids and she doesn't want to present them so.

She wants them polished, knowing what words to say. Instead her lips part and her voice and mouth crack, dry from her rapid breaths.

"Y-yes...when...I was a child" she pauses several times to figure out these new words, " to be strong in the manner demanded of me." 

Her eyes remain on the floor, feeling a small sting of shame well up in her chest.
