thinking about the anger and guilt serge must feel because gilbert's abusers never got any repercussions and they all got to live long, fulfilling lives, meanwhile gilbert didn't even get to graduate school (because they escaped) and didn't even get to 18, he didn't even get to be an adult, and on top of that his last few months of life were AWFUL because of the opium, the abuse, the alcohol ...

So, I have been thinking...as far as I know -and remember- Mashima sensei never really develops Mirajane as a character properly. Everything that is shown about her is always around her siblings. I would have loved to get to know her better. She used to be this badass girl before Lissana went to Edoras by accident, and after that, she is so traumatized that she refuses to use her magic. That is a nice backstory, but when her sister returns... yes, she uses her magic more freely, but what else? What is her further interest? goals? Is she pretending to be innocent and sometimes childlike while keeping hidden her monstrous personality? I would love to see her acting more mischievous during the story (not only in the OVA, which was unexpected -at least for me- but I guess Mashima likes bondage, and Mira as a sadistic character...which actually proves my point. Why can´t we see more of this side of her during the story? I think it would be cool :3
Just for context, I am about to rewatch the Tartaros arch. I am taking a while because I faintly remember it to be kinda painful when I read the manga? I am really not sure, my memories are blurry about this point forward in the story.

Rules: - Vote for one of these two characters based on who you personally think should win. It can be anything from "I follow aseriesofunfortunatejan and she talks about this character way more" to "I know this guy and not the other guy" passing by "who are these? This one's hotter" and of course "holy shit this is ALSO my blorbo" - You may reblog this poll and you may even talk about why you voted for who you voted! - You may NOT complain about the other character if you dislike them! These characters are all the poll runner's beloveds and the goal of this tournament is to have fun, be silly, be nice, eat hot chip.
Introductions and propaganda (under the cut):
Did my dumbass write that Kira8 was my most recent blorbo or something? Obviously Masuki Satou is. I just recently watched the BanG Dream! anime and got into the game and Masuki stands out to me a lot. She is fantastic. Her personality is on point. Her tastes, her life, everything. Just a nice person and I would say yes if she asked me to be her QPP. The way she death-stares people into submission when she's really thinking "what a cute girl" is unmatched. She could be an immature 30 years old but she's just an older looking highschool girl. She was onscreen with a wheelchair for the exact same reason I was for a split second and you have no idea how happy it made me
Mika Shimotsuki is a character I've written an "in defence of" essay. She is the hated flawed woman who would have so many stans if she were a guy. I am convinced of this. I would die on a hill for her. When I rewatched Psycho-Pass, it became obvious that she's the most interesting, thoroughly written in character of Season 2 because of her mistakes and her flaws (but also because of her underappreciated talents!) and that from the OVAs onwards she's one of the most fun characters in the cast. The first protagonist, Tsunemori, who is fantastic, unfortunately got Psycho-Pass fans used to a largely angelic, innocent woman protagonist (although if you care about Shimotsuki at all, how Tsunemori made mistakes in her regard too in Season 2 becomes evident).
If Afterglow gets a vocal synth after POPY and ROSE that'll mean Shimotsuki's VA has a vocal synth, by the way

K so like I Don’t tend to make posts about the daily goings in my life but today is special and I am not going to shut up about anything ever so. Mario Movie. Today. Clearly. And yours truly is going to see it not once but twice this week. And he is going to ascend
For context, I have been fixating heavily (to the point where, if it turns out I am autistic [i am not allowed to be diagnosed], it could easily be a special interest) on Super Mario since i was 7. I am 20. This has been well over half my life. And Ive seen both the OVA(The Great Mission to Reacue Princess Peach), as well as the 1993 live action film. Ive seen all the cartoons, and I have read the Nintendo Power comics. I have seen my guys adapted so many times but this one truly excites me? Like I was d r e a d i n g the first trailer. Then. I watched it and lowkey ascended. Rewatched it so much. I am…too excited for this film. Sure I. Have my one qualm with it but At this point I don’t care. It’s gonna be fun. And im gonna be trying not to scream in a theater.
i realize I am probably not? Seen as a Mario blog but deep down that’s what I am. This is my favorite franchise in any piece of media. Over my favorite cartoons, over my favorite youtube series, Mario is my #1. So in the upcoming days I’m gon be screaming. Not gon apologize for the person I become due to this movie.

I'm in the middle of falling back into a several season long anime that I've rewatched 1000 times already and would like to avoid that, first and foremost because I do not have the time for that.
Do you have any anime recommendations I could try out to stave off the impulse?
The ones that stand out in my mind are:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (long series at 64 episodes but REALLY good and kind of a must-watch)
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (two seasons at 44 episodes but the animation is great and so is the music)
Jujutsu Kaisen (banger show w/ banger animation, 24 eps)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (12 eps, but god it's STILL got me dead on the floor. hope you like emotional damage)
Kill la Kill (24 eps + an OVA and imo a great time if you like anime that's unashamedly balls to the wall, i just don't recommend watching this one around other people LOL. it's one of my all time favourites and one of the first anime I actually watched & followed with Jan!)
Little Witch Academia (26 eps! Relatively lighthearted but good show)
Houseki no Kuni (it's a 3D anime, but studio orange is REALLY good at what they do and HNK is pain in a small package. 12 eps)
Haikyuu!! (sorry this one's got a couple of seasons but i promise it's good LOL..... this is quite literally the only sports anime i care about. these kids just have me very emotional ok. though I'd only recommend the first three seasons, just read the manga which is complete for everything else. it totals at like 60 eps)
Trigun Stampede (This one's still airing! It airs on saturdays and got 3 episodes out right now but I watched it this week and i am in pain? im in pain. yes)
Violet Evergarden (did i mention more pain??? because you'll get pain. 13 eps)
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (MORE PAIN. 10 episodes)
Mob Psycho (SO GOOD!!! Three seasons at 37 eps!!!! Definitely a must watch because the animation & story is very charming and captivating. mob's just a guy. just a lil man)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (A mecha anime, but it's the same kind of balls to the wall shit you'd get with Kill la Kill, just that it has a more serious overall tone. Still REALLY good and a classic though!! 27 eps!)
Nichijou (A more slice-of-life type of anime what with its name literally translating to my daily life, but it's. completely unhinged. nothing is normal here. it's extremely silly and a great watch if you just want a series that gets you laughing. 26 episodes!)
Hope this'll keep you busy for a while!! This turned out to be a pretty long list and I know most of these are pretty mainstream, some series are even quite long but it's one I've personally really enjoyed and sometimes rewatch or put on as background noise.
#zumi answers#anonymous#i hope there's at least something in the list that you haven't watched yet djgdnfjfd

Part 2 to this post
Before we start discussing the RK adaptations, I want to note that we’re basically only talking about two men who made them, Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed the anime and all three OVAs (though they all had different writers) and Keishi Ōtomo directed and wrote the live action adaptations
I’m also working off mostly fan translations so grain of salt compared to analyzing English language material
Anime
first things first, I am naturally biased against anime because I read faster than watching so I prefer to read the manga and I don’t like filler so it has to have really good animation to be worth it and the RK anime does not
I’m also not going to address the filler arcs in this post, I shouldn’t have to explain myself past the Feng Shui zombies but I’m also ignoring it because I’m trying to focus on what was adapted from the manga and not new stuff because this is a tumblr post
that said, the anime is the best adaptation when it comes to Kaoru of RK and that’s super sad because the anime has a lot of problems generally speaking and because it doesn’t actually change anything major about Kaoru’s arc in the first 2/3rds of the manga
maybe it’s just the dub (yes I watched the dub it’s from 90s and I first watched it in the 00s you find subs) but like whatever issues I had with the manga’s shonen-ness, the anime leans into it more and is extremely 90s anime like having Kenshin walk in on Kaoru in the tub even though it’s set in the goddamn 1870s and it kinda warps everyone’s personality towards the goofy and selfish in some respects with the filler warping them further
but in the Tokyo arc they do try to have her be more involved (after making her faint after the first fight against Hiruma rather than having Kenshin fake a groin injury then run off with her) like she tries to rescue Yahiko and she to Kanryuu’s mansion in the anime when she doesn’t in the manga and it also showed her as physically stronger than in the manga
and they don’t change much in the Kyoto Arc, just keeping it as it is in the manga though they do go for a little more drama like with Kenshin’s fight with Saitou and his departure for Kyoto
so I consider those early changes good but superficial and kinda countered by the anime’s tone, like it’s nice Kaoru is more involved as it speaks better to her abilities and also her morals in terms of how much she’s willing to involve herself to help people (though it’s limited by the 90s anime warping) but she’s still kidnapped by Jin-E and she’s still not shown to be that effective as a fighter compared to Kenshin and Sano and even Yahiko down the line
but it doesn’t deal with the biggest issues concerning her character arc and the themes of the series as it never gets to the Jinchuu Arc so I can’t say if they might have tried to fix things in terms of trying to let her fight more or something like that but even if it was the same as the manga that probably would have been better than the adaptations we have gotten for that arc
OVA
the less said about Reflection the better, nobody comes out of that OVA looking good whether you’re talking about any of the characters or any of the people that worked on it, maybe we were expecting too much from director that gave us Feng Shui zombies but that’s only his own fault for making Trust and Betrayal so good and of course Kaoru can’t be part of the good OVA
anyways, I’m basing this off memory as I refuse to rewatch this shit and you can’t make me, but Kaoru doesn’t do anything, like there’s brief flashbacks to Jinchuu but she doesn’t do anything in Jinchuu to begin with in the manga and Reflection doesn’t fix it, she marries Kenshin, and has Kenji at some point, and from then on out is basically a doormat, like she who chased after Kenshin to Kyoto and spent all her time trying to get him to stay in the manga lets him wander off to get a deadly STD then asks him to infect her with it for some reason and then just waits around for Kenshin to get back to die in her arms, pretty sure she never picks up a bokken the entire OVA
nobody asked for that, nobody liked it, and we all pretend we’ve never heard of it for good reason because whoever those characters were they were not the ones from the manga
but it somehow still has an edge over the New Kyoto Arc in two ways
first, its animation is still good even if I think the eyes in that art style are super freaky
second, Reflection at least had a point to being made and a reason to watch, everyone wanted to see Jinchuu animated, we didn’t really get it and it was a depressing shit show, but at least there was a point
there was no point in making the New Kyoto Arc, it was literally too cheap and too short to even be worth the attempt and effort and I think we all would like to apologize to the animators for having their efforts wasted like that
and Kaoru’s only good in it on account of it not being Reflection where may I remind you she asks Kenshin to infect her with a deadly STD
Kaoru honestly doesn’t have much of anything to do with the plot on account of them deciding to give more weight to Misao as she’s the new character for the arc, like they have Kaoru and Yahiko visit Hiko so people know who he is when he shows up against the giant later, but it’s completely meaningless because they’re not the ones that need to see Hiko, Kenshin is, and Kenshin literally never talks to him in the OVA
And because Kenshin isn’t the one meeting Hiko, they set Kenshin and Kaoru meeting together again at a lamplit road in Kyoto which sure is a romantic atmosphere and I think it was meant to be a scene that draws the audience into watching, but I feel like something is lost in the relationship when Kenshin says he’s angry she came but doesn’t sound or look angry and also doesn’t refuse to look at her while he’s walking away when he says it like in the manga
I feel like that scene in the manga was underutilized in their relationship in terms of making it a believable romance as it’s never brought up or addressed again to resolve it and have them get closer for it, it’s just ignored and forgotten, and the OVA does the opposite of attempting to improve it
as for fighting, Kaoru is shown with a bokken, but only holding it over unconscious goons not actually fighting with it, and like I said they decided to keep Hiko fighting the giant despite Hiko having no connection to Kenshin really in this OVA and all Kaoru gets is kicked into a building and then she’s just there in the wall for the rest of the scene, and obviously the entire high point of the manga, her fight with Kamatari, is totally removed
also in the manga, it felt like Misao and Kaoru had an actual friendship because they liked each other, but in the OVA they’re like suspicious of each other and Misao’s like I guess I’ll have to trust you since Himura does which I guess comes of the time constraints but it felt weird to literally just shove Kenshin in the middle of their relationship and I did not like it
Live Action
boy does this director hate Kaoru, I honestly think I would have preferred he just cut her out entirely than make her incidental and then have her get with Kenshin anyways like I stg she’s just there for fanservice like kenkao is only happening because he believes he needs to do shallow facsimiles of major moments in the manga like they’re little tokens he has to pay in order to get to do what he wants
and Kaoru is incidental in the movies, she could be entirely removed from the series without changing the overall narrative for a shorter run time and improved narrative flow
the first sign of this is the fact that she is not the second introduced character in the movie
the list of characters introduced before her in the movie include:
Saitou, Jin-E, Kanryuu, the oniwabanshu, and Megumi
all of whom are more minor characters than Kaoru and includes one who doesn’t even show up until the second arc in the manga
they’re all considered more significant to the movie than Kaoru to the point of choosing to introduce them before her
like regardless of how Kaoru ended the manga and regressed as a character, there are in fact reasons she starts the manga and not anybody else and it has nothing to do with being the love interest for Kenshin which the director entirely forgets
first, she creates the inciting incident where Kenshin chooses to stay even if he means for it to be temporary
second, the first thing they do after Kenshin rescues her (so the third scene in the whole manga) is discuss her and her father’s sword style and Kenshin telling her not to get herself killed to protect an ideology NOT Kenshin’s use of a sakabatou, this shifts the manga’s discussion concerning swords and not killing away from Kenshin’s personal idiosyncrasies and whether or not people think he can change to Kenshin’s not the only one thinking about how to change sword use for the new era and shows that Kenshin knows he only gets away with not killing his opponents due to overwhelming individual strength, this is the start of a discussion that is carried through the rest of the series
and a variation of this scene is in the movie
at like the halfway point when the focus of the movie has already been put on Saitou criticizing Kenshin specifically for not killing
it’s not even connected to other scenes Kaoru is in and it matters when and in what context you put scenes and this is something that they consistently disregard with the scenes Kaoru is in over the course of the movie series
scenes that are adjacent in the manga that serve to build momentum and result in an emotional payoff of some kind are separated out weakening the follow through in addition to changes to the scenes themselves
for example, Kaoru and Kenshin meet (like a quarter of the way into the movie but like whatever) and Kaoru still has a bokken and attacks him for wearing the sakabatou
but it’s in the day time, Jin-E who is standing in for the Hirumas in the movie is not there, there’s no stakes in this meeting, nothing to move the relationship forward, essentially a one off encounter in a bubble
so now that that isolated scene ends with Kenshin and Kaoru and Jin-E separated, they have Kaoru wandering around scenes later and petting a cat so she can be in place for her to stumble upon one of the policemen Jin-E attacked to look for Megumi so Jin-E can spot her and attack her and then have Kenshin come out of nowhere with no explanation to rescue her (instead of the building full of policemen he could have tried saving idk)
and that’s basically every scene they have together in the movies, completely disconnected and watered down in an attempt to make it inoffensive in a new narrative timeline that doesn’t need Kaoru
like they made the Jin-E fight the climax to recreate a kenkao scene but it makes no sense for him to leave to get Kaoru to force a fight with Kenshin…when Kenshin is literally already fighting his employer Kanryuu and the oniwabanshu to rescue Megumi and in the manga Jin-E took Kaoru out of convenience as she was right there trying to get Kenshin not to wander off
either get Kaoru to the mansion so Jin-E freezes her lungs there to recreate the kenkao or don’t bother as Megumi is already there in the position Kaoru was in
and the reason I say that about Megumi is because the only scene with emotional depth Kenshin has is with Megumi right before she leaves to go back to Kanryuu not Kaoru, he even brings up Akria and Tomoe with her
and it continues into the sequels
when Kenshin leaves for Kyoto, their parting happens in daylight again and this may just be translation but Kaoru’s argument for him to stay is that he could be happy here with them rather than fighting Shishio but in the manga she argues Kenshin can come back from being the Battousai if he gets near the edge (a fear he’s expressed to her already) and Kenshin says he can’t trust himself and the argument in the movie feels like much more shallow concerns
like in the manga Kaoru is clearly not saying you have no responsibility in regards to Shishio/defending the new era (which is more Sano’s argument because he thinks no one should do anything for the Meiji government he hates) but that Kenshin doesn’t need to abandon them to do it whereas in the movie it sounds like she is asking him not to take action when he has the ability to defend people and pretend nothing is wrong
and she doesn’t react at all when he leaves, she falls and cries in the manga but just looks kinda confused in the movie and it continues in later scenes with Megumi basically having to tell the audience/Kaoru actually you do give a shit about Kenshin go get him when she’s going about daily life totally normally when Megumi only did that in the manga because Kaoru refused to get out of bed or eat
In the reunion in Kyoto, Kaoru shows up during the Chou fight but there’s a time skip and a flashback before Kenshin gives his line about being half mad and half relieved, like that’s no longer his first reaction to her, he’s had like half a day to think about it like you couldn’t make up your mind by then?
also Shishio kidnaps Kaoru so they can get Kenshin to Hiko and for Kaoru to do nothing in the third movie when that makes no sense for Shishio to care about Kaoru when he knows Kenshin is coming for him and Kenshin should want to see Hiko to finish his training, why does he need to be forced into it?
and it makes it 3 out of 4 movies where Kaoru is kidnapped for the finale which is annoying as hell and also why should we give a shit by the 4th movie when she’s taken by Enishi and her death not even faked, Kenshin has no bsod or character growth so it’s cheap and useless to kidnap her when she hasn’t done anything for an entire movie at this point and barely even saw Kenshin
also they have Kenshin propose to Kaoru in the third movie which annoys the shit out of me as Kaoru was the one to propose to him in the manga, it doesn’t make sense for either of their characters based on the manga
it actively damages the narrative and themes of the movie series to include Kaoru but not care for her or what she brought to the manga’s narrative and so shift her around arbitrarily to do shallow versions of iconic kenkao moments and nothing else
there’s no romantic tension or believability, it removes Kaoru’s development entirely as she literally never changes and just gets dragged around as needed for fanservice, and kneecaps Kenshin’s character arc as there’s basically never the inciting incident from the manga or the final BSOD that is the climax of his character arc due to Kaoru’s absence and complete gutting as a character
like in terms of a fix to make the movie series a better movie series, the easiest thing to do would be to remove Kaoru entirely and make Megumi the love interest, she’s the one that has a personality and actually acts like she loves Kenshin as she repeatedly gets between him and the police and says to kill her first and has the emotional moments in the series with him like the one I pointed out in the first movie and another in the 3rd when Kenshin returns to the dojo
it wouldn’t fix the live action as an adaptation as that wouldn’t fix the everything they did wrong in Kenshin’s character arc, but it would be a better overall product
and then moving from the narrative to specifically discuss how they treat Kaoru as a fighter is I think they gave her shit to make up for trashing her narrative presence and it’s just as shallow as everything else
in the sequels she gets adult students and it’s never addressed or shown how she gets and keeps them as Kenshin tells students off that he’s not going to teach them like in the manga except that they were already learning from Kaoru and they don’t leave after he says that which just makes Kenshin look like an arrogant ass and still doesn’t explain where they came from, Kaoru also magically starts teaching at a fancy academy in the 4th movie when they literally never show her teaching just walking around and observing
Also she takes one whack at Jin-E in the first movie with her bokken and then never fights with it again and not only do they cut the Kamatari fight, they give her a NAGINATA to fight with!!!! I don’t know how many people are familiar with the naginata being considered a woman’s weapon in Japan and the katana a man’s but the director surely knew, Kaoru specifically learning kenjutsu and not naginatajutsu is narratively important because like I’ve said, she needs to know kenjutsu to get that inciting incident going but it’s just as important to her characterization as a tomboy
samurai women learned martial arts that is normal and expected as members of the warrior class
a woman choosing a katana specifically (or a bokken in Kaoru’s case) is going against the grain
it pisses me off so much that they would take that from her after everything else they did to her
I fucking hate the live action movies and they get extra spite compared to the OVAs because at least everyone considers them bad, but the live action is well reviewed and made a lot of money and is credited for raising the interest in live action adaptation of mangas, but they’re bad adaptations and not just for Kaoru, reviews of the series say it respected the source material but they completely fuck up Kenshin’s character arc at every step of the way, how can you claim to respect the source material when you disregard the protagonist like that?
I’m not spending any time on RK adaptations in the future as there’s clearly no reason to believe they’d be any good especially not to Kaoru in addition to them supporting Watsuki, it’s just not worth it
#rurouni kenshin#kaoru kamiya#adaptation#meta#long post#I actually think this is longer than the last one rip me#no wonder it took like a month to do jfc

right, so the new bnha OVA. i was crying, laughing hysterically, and screeching with the volume of a deranged psycopath.
these children are innocent and deserve nothing less then the world.
and now that that’s out of the way, time to start the inhuman screeching over my favorite scenes. spoilers ahead, you’ve been warned.
first of all- denki kaminari is my all time favorite character and i would literally die for him. seeing said small child grab bakugo’s arm when scared is the one thing i’ve always wanted in life, but never knew until i saw it.
peekaboo kami’s alive
kiri protecc
secondly, kaminari- panicking, in water? doesn’t sound like a good idea
a l s o, bakugo staying behind to save todoroki? character development? nani?
and then was the start of my inability to form a single coherent string of words. i chose instead to scream and make undecipherable keyboard smashes.
why does simply seeing this makes my heart rate accelerate to unhealthy proportions.
oops, my heart went
someone stop me before i give my heart to these fictional characters
wait a second, holdup
👏 Todoroki 👏 is 👏 holding 👏 Izuku 👏. i’ll be right back, i have to go scream into my pillow until my voicebox inevitably departs from me and my current state of giddy hysteria
i swear to god when kaminari fell, the horror filled demonic yelling that escaped my soul was loud enough to cause a several dozen books be thrown at my paper thin skull.
👏 tsu 👏 best 👏 girl 👏
poor traumatized child. someone hug him. he could have died.
petition to stop traumatizing these innocent children
can i make it clear that panicked todoroki hurts my soul
fuck it. take my heart. add it to the collection of never ending love for these two.
i stopped breathing oh so quickly. had i been drinking tea, it’d have been spewed halfway across the world. but i was not. nor would i have had the mental capacity to consciously do anything other than stare at my screen in utter horror.
also can i just say- the only way bakugo could’ve gotten out of that situation is if izuku heifted that whole freaking slab of debris while todoroki dragged him out from under it? right? am- am i wrong?
breaking news: green haired broccoli child freaks out after childhood friend is crushed by debris. next up, number one school for heroics being sued for making it’s students fear their lives on a daily basis
am i the only one that saw that coming? also, i fear for the condition of izuku’s face. bakugo seems to me to be a very hard headed person and he hit izuku’s nose hard.
i worry about bakugo’s pain tolerance levels. the fact that he’s willing to w a l k despite his leg’s condition is just the slightest bit horrifying.
his ‘feet just won’t do what he’s telling them to do’. don’t you think, considering this, bakugo, that you should try not to walk and aggravate your injury more so then you already have?
my neighbor requested the reason behind the sudden loud shattering of window panes that could be heard from across the street. my vocal chords are fucked.
watch as i spend every remaining hour of my life rewatching this scene for the sake of my mental stability
that moment when the two problem children begin to fight over bakugo’s arm-
if it’s not one thing, it’s another. bakugo clearly has an inferiority complex, but there seems two people that are able to be able to talk him into ignoring it for the sake of his health. we all know who those two are, and i sure as hell aint gonna question it.
ah yes. be his cane. canes don’t talk. you had better be aware of that fact before attending your local cane convention.
bakugo’s facial expressions are so hilarious i constantly find myself laughing manically whenever he is on the screen. am i the only one that does this?
why were aizawa and recovery girl just watching and not h e l p i n g the bleeding child in front of them?! riddle me that, U.A.
this two part episode summed up in one photo?

SPOILER ALERT
Deadman Wonderland
Genre: Action, Sci-fi, horror, Shounen
When my now husband first moved in with me, we agreed to start watching anime with each other. I have always loved anime a lot but I was not very versed in it, only really focusing on more of the main stream well known animes with a few guilty pleasure ones that it felt like no one watched. Up to this point, I had never seen Deadman Wonderland and had barely heard of it; it was merely on my list of animes to watch due to noticing it on my recommendations once upon an eon ago on Netflix. However, it is one of my husband's favorite animes and I would do anything to make him happy so I made sure to get my hands on the first (and only) season and OVA so we could watch it.
The first episode of this anime moved fairly quickly which is good for me because animes that start off too slow struggle to grab and keep my attention for more than 1 or 2 episodes. The only complaints I really had were that the main character is too whiny, a flaw I note for several animes I watch, and that the first episode left me with more questions than answers.
I love the execution of this anime and the fact that the characters actually have depth and vastly differ from each but aside from the attempted jailbreak towards the end of the season we didn't get closure to the plotline. Sure, it had the typical 'get revenge on the baddie that did this to me' plot device that is all too common for the genre but thanks to Manglobe going bankrupt and only giving us one season, we didn't even get to see that resolved.
The characters are very memorable with the main duo of Ganta and Shiro actually having a realistic friendship with arguments and opportunities to grow as they forgive each other. Background characters like Crow, Owl, and Hummingbird all had unique personalities and well thought out backstories. Their designs weren't copy and pasted from every shounen manga ever, praise the art team for their choices. Deadman Wonderland is overall very pretty given the time it was made and the fact it is an anime where they fight using their blood. Even I can appreciate that it wasn't gore just for the sake of gore. (Looking at you Saw movies.)
As for shipping, and I am throwing this out there now NO SHIP WARS, I find the pairings intriguing. There isn't an over excess of pairs and there is a mix of straight and queer ships. I don't know if it is just because of the underappreciated state of the anime or if the fandom is just that healthy but they don't seem to be toxic when it comes to OTPs. Romance in the show doesn't really exist as the anime focuses more on brotherhood and comradery, leaving romance to the imagination instead.
My largest complain is shared with most of the fanbase. Deadman had a good thing going from them as the season progressed, featuring good pacing for quite some time. Until the last 4 episodes, when they tried to resolve everything in too short of a time. The season (and series) finale answered very few of the questions it gave us and even had the nerve to, within the last few episodes, introduce us to a new character.
All in all, I would recommend this oldie to others, especially if you enjoy the horror genre, just go in knowing that the manga was still ongoing when the anime came to an end.
Rewatch Value: 7/10 I feel like this anime has enough complexity to it that there are things you could miss, making a reviewing of this anime fun and beneficial.
Ability to Cosplay: 9/10 Most of the character designs aren't overly complex and could be obtained fairly easy. It isn't a ten because of props. The Branches of Sin would be a bit more difficult for a beginner but not outside of the realm of possiblities.
Would I recommend it?: Yes. All in all, I fell in love with the characters and felt sympathetic to them It's important to see how these characters behave with each other knowing what kind of hell they are being put through.

Little Witch Academia and missed opportunities
Sooo, since I seem to go on a tangent every few months, have another one.
I recently watched the series Little Witch Academia. Now, I did see the original OVA and movie, but that was a few years back, so except for the concept and rough understanding of the characters I went into this show kinda blind. Also, knowing that the series started its own story and changed up a few things got me really interested.
I watched the series and you know what, it was real fun. Great animation and quirky characters, as expected of Trigger. What I didn’t expect was that I got really interested in the story as well. From what I knew about LWA (so, it’s memes) I thought it was mostly an episodic anime, which it was in its first half, but they still carried on the aspects of those single episodes.
However.
The biggest problems I have with the show lie with its characters and the missed opportunities. I do like (most) of the characters, but sometimes it felt like Trigger originally had more planned with them or they just outright shanked them. That is why I’m gonna ramble for a while, go over each character (I care about) and talk about what I like about them but was just not explored enough. Do remember, however, that I still really enjoyed the show and I am considering rewatching it again right away, but these were just some points that got on my nerves while watching.
Well, strap in I guess
(Spoiler warning btw)
Akko
Let’s start with the protagonist, shall we? I’m probably going to mention her a lot with the other characters as well, but first I want to look at her by herself.
Akko is Trigger’s typical high energy character with just a bit of sass. What I like about her is that she is loud, obnoxious, selfish and annoying and the other characters think that too. I normally really don’t enjoy these kinds of characters, even more so when I binge a series, because they get so exhausting. What I like in LWA is that even Akko’s close friends often tell her to calm down or straight up to just shut up. Akko’s character is even more enjoyable because of her great VA (actually the reason I finally picked up the anime). Her animations and reactions are super enjoyable too and tbh, even if she is annoying, she is also the funniest part of the whole show.
But, I’m here to rant, so on to the things that bothered me. Like I said, she is annoying. I can kind of see that it’s not that big of a deal on a weekly basis, maybe then it’s even uplifting. But when you sit through episode after episode it gets exhausting.
What bothers me too is that Akko barely changes. I know not to expect that much subtle character progression from Trigger, since they go from 0 to 100 fast, but it’s even stated in the show. Like the whole thing with patience. Akko was never the patient type but the episode it became the focus, they turned it up to eleven. She became unbearably twitchy and whiny, which was basically your indicator that this was going to be focused on. But after the whole lesson of the ep, in the next one Ursula even says ‘didn’t you just learn to be patient?’. I don’t wish for Akko to take big steps after she gets a lesson, but just show subtle moments where the lesson takes effect. I think it only really bothers me so much because after the ep Akko seems even more impatient.
Another thing is her selfishness / self-righteousness. Diana and Andrew even tell that to her face, that she just shoves her believes in other’s faces without considering how they feel and what their situation is. But she never, even once, doesn’t do it. I get it, it’s her character trait, being the dangerous combo of head-strong and stubborn. But it never, not even once, brings consequences. I thought it would finally happen with the whole Diana situation, because Andrew even points out Akko’s faults, but it all ends well anyways and Akko doesn’t learn at all from this.
I know this is a Trigger protagonist but at some point it just got so frustrating. It’s even sadder when you see what they did with Ryuko in Kill la Kill. Yeah, she’s still her abrasive self in the end, but she does have a more gentle and open side to her too after the show. Akko kind of stays the complete same after the whole show, only that she can do magic better and finally fly (which was honestly a cute ending, ngl). The worst parts, however, were her sad moments towards the end. And I’m not talking about her reaction to learning about Chariot, that was totally ok (though I do have some things to complaint about, but on to that later), but the thing before when she climbed that never-ending tree. Her outburst and her frustration came kind of out of nowhere, at least continuing on from the last episode. Her reasons for being so frustrated and angry make perfect sense, but the build-up is just missing, even in the episode itself. It would have been enough to make Akko look desperately at her Chariot poster a few times or just look really desperate in general after being told ‘no’ by Ursula. But she just looks her usual pouty self when that happens, so her outburst and mistrust in Ursula are very surprising. I do like that that ep is right before the Chariot (betrayal) reveal, because they just made up and got closer, but the episode itself felt so out of left field, it really bothered me.
Sucy and Lotte
Before you say anything, I’m only lumping them together because what bothers me is not their characters by themselves, they’re great and very enjoyable, but how Trigger fucking dropped them halfway through the show.
Sucy and Lotte seem very similar to their OVA and movie selves, though Sucy seems just a tad bit less evil and Lotte not that much of a typical nerd. In general, I really liked those two and their friendship with Akko.
That said.
I find it terrible how little focus they get in the second half of the show. I mean, it’s great they are those kind of friends that don’t necessarily have to hang around the MC all the time, like in the Diana-centric episode where they go ‘We know you want to go after her, so here, have your stuff and go. We’re going to support you but not take part in it’. Things like that are great! But Akko, Sucy and Lotte are supposed to be best friends, the main trio, Sucy and Lotte are supposed to be Akko’s mayor pillars of support. And this is beautifully shown in the earlier episodes, but later in the show it just feels like those two lose significance. What pissed me off the most is that in the second OP you see them grasping each other’s arms, a reference to the tapestry about the 7 lights. But in the end, Akko unlocks the staff and the big magic source by herself. I wished they’d gone more for a ‘Luna Lana’ equivalent. That’s just another thing! I watched the OVA and movie yesterday and their friendship is so much better in those! You see them laugh and fight and stick together, it’s so nice. You don’t get a cool moment like ‘Luna Lana’ in the series and I think they really should have. And no, the missile chase doesn’t count, that involved all girls.
Ultimately, I just think it’s sad that those 3 are supposed to represent this close friendship but the later show doesn’t show it at all. I wished other character-centric episodes, like with Constanze or Diana for example, would have happened sooner so that later episodes could push Akko, Sucy and Lotte’s friendship a bit more.
Speaking of Diana, oh boy, here we go.
Diana and Andrew
Yes, I’m lumping them together because both could have had so much more.
First, Diana. I was actually surprised about her character, because from the little I remember about the OVA and movie, I thought her to be more of a bitch. And I was right. In the first two instalments she is a snobbish, stuck-up, rude bitch, so a Tsundere, but fun in her own rights. Her dynamic with Akko is truly amusing. In the series, however, she is still a bit stuck up, but more just a determined, stern and smart rich girl. She does chastise Akko and is shown as a know-it-all, but she respects others way more and mostly just talks because she knows she’s right. Though, I wish she would have turned out to be something right between the two.
Diana is supposed to be Akko’s rival, so why isn’t she? She’s supposed to be the Viral to Kamina/Simon, the Satsuki to Ryuko, but she just isn’t. Before her little arc, she’s kind of that ‘big goal’, the ‘perfect witch’, so the familiar obstacle that is the rival. Diana even gains some respect for Akko but also gets disappointed in her shortly after (tbh, same). But all this progression is kind of one-sided, because Akko’s perception of Diana barely changes. They don’t really have a dynamic going on in the first half, more so their own development. Heck, in the second OP it’s shown that they’re supposed to mirror Chariot and Croix but they honestly don’t. Because Chariot and Croix were two friends that were striving for the same goal but due to how differently they tried to reach it, they grew apart. Diana is striving for the same power that Chariot and Croix did and Akko, well, she doesn’t, she just goes along because she wants to meet Chariot. Which is fine, but it feels like this ‘rivalry’ is being forced onto them. Maybe that’s also intentional, but it feels weird. Diana even once says ‘I never considered us rivals’, which is understandable, but to me it was more of a surprise that Akko saw her as one. To me, it always felt like, even if Diana didn’t realize it, she viewed Akko as her own goal to reach. Akko on the other hand just gets really miffed with Diana, and yeah, she strives to be as good with magic as her, but there’s no real rivalry, not even an implied one.
Then the whole thing with both being Chariot fans and Diana getting Akko out of her slump. I already said it once, but I still think it should have been Lotte and Sucy who ultimately got her to perk up again (I’ll describe how I think this whole thing should have gone. Again, this is only cos I was unsatisfied with the resolution, the original is fine in itself though). What bothers me so much about this is that it feels like they shoe-horned this whole thing in because that’s how it was in the original. I get what they want to do, get a parallel between Akko and Diana, even more so because they both lost their magic to Chariot, and since they’re closer now than at the beginning Diana manages to reach her. But in the end, it feels forced. Both girls had one adventure together and Diana was just starting to open up to Akko, where the hell did all that understanding come from. It’s even harder to believe because it’s shown that Diana is good at relaying facts and choosing the most logical course of action, she’s not known to just openly share her feelings, more so to someone she just learned to consider a friend. And it also feels kind of lazy that a pep talk from a fellow fan and victim would just push Akko out of her slump. Instead of somehow cramming that fact in and making Diana have lost her power too, they could have gone along the route of ‘so what if she stole your magic, you’re too stubborn to let that stop you!’
Like I said, I’ll go into detail about this scene later, but first.
Andrew.
Oh. My sweet boy, they did you so dirty.
I’m going to say it right now, I love Andrew’s introduction episode, it’s probably one of my favourites. And I also like his addition to the series in general, because whereas Diana is Akko’s feud in personality and ability, Andrew is supposed to be her opposite in ideologies. But he isn’t just a male Diana who doesn’t like magic, though at first they make you think that.
I love his introduction ep so much, because they don’t just introduce an obstacle for Akko, but once again show that the show can play with your expectations. Andrew is first shown as this typical snobby, stuck up rich kid, which he is, but even when faced with someone he disagrees with, he shows a level of respect. Then further in the episode, you see that he is in fact a calm, helpful when a bit teasing individual. It also shows that he actually has fun when in danger, which is a nice change to normally one-note characters. But what I love most about this is, that he is not just this ‘snobby non-believer turned enthusiast through one outing’ cliché. Andrew gets to have a bit of an adventure with Akko and get to see amazing magic at that, but he stays pessimistic. He doesn’t just change his world view in a second, because that’s not what he was raised to do.
Having established all that, every time he shows up, he kind of matters less and less. The whole party episode was fun and all, but with Akko still being stuck in her narcissistic world view, the effect of the ep is small. Because what it really is about, is to show on one hand that Andrew is very subordinate to his father and that his perception of magic isn’t necessarily his own opinion, so there is a possibility to change his mind. On the other hand, it’s to show Akko that some people make decisions not based on their own volition and sometimes their opinion can’t just be changed like that.
But in the end Akko doesn’t learn her lesson and even if they do play a bit with changing Andrew’s mind, there really isn’t much to it. When I heard that originally it was planned for Akko and Andrew to be together at the end, but they scrapped that idea, it made so much sense why Andrew felt so out of place in the last few episode. Because he was. Honestly, it really shows now how they weren’t so sure what to do with him at the end, because he was not supposed to be the one to make that big of an impact, neither on Akko nor on the plot as a whole. He does say something very significant to Akko though, to be her own witch and not try to be Chariot, but that gets kind of brushed under the rug, because again, he isn’t supposed to be the one to make an impact anymore. Same thing with his ‘I believe’. It’s just there to be there, because even if he opened up more to magic and Akko herself, I don’t think he would have been snapped out of his ideology that he got punched into him since he was young and just abandon his father’s decision he had just started to doubt.
I think all of this would have flown better if the whole Diana arc would have been earlier in the series. There would have been more time for Diana and Akko to find a common footing and become believable friends, Andrew would have more reason to be mesmerized by witches and magic, because he didn’t just get to see determination from Akko but from Diana as well (and you kinda have that ‘go against your family’ stuff too) and then, in the later part of the series, there would have been more time for the main trio to develop a bit more.
But even if that hadn’t happened, I just want to get to changing up the scenes after Chariot’s reveal, because I think if they had handled all that a bit better, then the original ending would have felt even more sincere.
Cheering up depressed Akko
Like I said, I find Trigger’s solution to this small arc lazy. Because you start up with Andrew and Akko meeting up to give her hat back, Andrew says stuff that not only gets Akko thinking but himself as well. Then you got the reveal, everybody searching and Diana being the only person needed to cheer her up. I know it can be argued that, only after Lotte comes in crying with the others in tow, Akko cheers up, but I think most of it can be chalked up to Diana, which is such plot convenience. Again, the things that bother me are the whole ‘Chariot fan and victim’ thing and how Lotte, Sucy, Andrew and the others are not really significant in this moment. The biggest thing that bothers me is that they start this mini arc with Andrew telling Akko to be herself and reach her goal with her own strengths in mind, not because she is chasing someone else. But then with Diana, it’s basically a ‘I could do it, so you can do it too’. I know they’re trying to build a parallel between those two and show how Diana opens up to Akko, but I think that just misses the point of what they had sat up.
Before I get to describing my idea, again, you can totally disagree with me, heck, you don’t have to like what I come up with at all. But just know that this is supposed to be a rant and I purposefully highlight the things that bothered me. I still love the show and only rant about it because I know Trigger could have made this already fun show even better.
Anyways, here is how I’d handled this arc:
The start of the arc is still the same. Akko and Andrew meet up, he tells her to believe in her own strength, Akko gets distracted and runs off, Andrew gets thoughtful. You have the whole reveal with Chariot, Akko vanishes and Diana and the others go search for her.
Now, what I want this arc to accomplish is, that Akko learns to believe in her own strengths but also to show how her friends have her back. Because that’s what the whole ending is about, right? Showing how Akko changed people, how they believe in themselves and even more so, believe in her. So, I want all of her friends to play a part in cheering her up, but make Sucy and Lotte the biggest influence of them all.
I’d start the changes from where Diana is nearly at Akko’s location. This time however, she finds Andrew close by. After the whole Parliament meeting stuff, him and his father are still in town and he went out at night, wandering around, deep in thought. He somehow managed to make himself think about his own situation with all that he had told Akko.
Diana, knowing that Andrew had met up with Akko, approaches him and asks if he had seen Akko. Since he is confused and worried after hearing she’s gone, Diana explains the situation and Andrew decides to help them search.
He is also the one that finds Akko first, right on that bench, covered in snow. (this part is a bit inspired by a post I read). He runs over to her, shocked at how cold and unresponsive she is. He gives her his jacket and he brushes the snow from he hair. He sits quietly next to her, worried glances and all. He thinks about what Diana told him and mulls over an answer. In the end, he basically repeats to her what he told her earlier that day and maybe something along the lines ‘and honestly, I wouldn’t believe you don’t have magic, because to me you are truly bewitching’, just so that you have nod back to the party, only now it comes from the heart and not because of a potion. That gets her to perk up and Andrew just gives her a reassuring smile.
Then Diana comes in, finally finding the two. Diana takes Akko to the café, Andrew staying behind. (here Akko could keep his jacket, so that in the end you have the parallel of him bringing her the hat and her returning the jacket). The café scene is kind of similar to the original, but I’d change the reason for Diana’s loss of magic. Instead of her losing her magic abilities all of a sudden, maybe she could have had a tough time manifesting them from the start. But Diana shares with Akko that she was inspired by Chariot too and that kept her going, believing in herself and her magic and finally succeeding. She tells Akko the whole thing with how she got envious of her, but at the same time that, just like Chariot, Akko had kind of become an inspiration as well. Now you don’t have the ‘I could, so you can too.’ but more Diana cementing that Akko has powers of her own and is already influencing people.
Then in come Amanda, Jasminka and Constanze. Amanda goes straight to shaking Akko and ruffling her hair, shouting something about ‘who am I gonna cause trouble with if you go’. Jasminka offers Akko her candies and Constanze shoves plans in her face, trying to show her that she needs her assistant. It’s just small things, but it would allude to the three of them caring about Akko and in Amanda’s and Constanze’s cases, that she had made an impact on them, tying in previous episodes.
Lastly come in Lotte and Sucy. Lotte is still crying and asking her if she was leaving. But they would kind of go into more detail, like a small recap of all that happened and how important she was. They would also talk about how Akko has grown so much already and so what if Chariot had taken her magic, she still inspired Akko and Akko therefore grew into her own witch that now inspires people.
After that, Akko finally snaps out of it totally, maybe grinning full force before sobbing and burying herself in Lotte and Sucy’s arms.
I think in general with a recap of the show so far and showing Akko’s journey, it would be a good set-up for the end. You got Akko back on her feet, her faith rebuilt but also her believe in herself strengthened. You got the bond between the characters established which makes the chase after the missile more impactful and you actually got more reason for Andrew to cement his own believes more. (maybe have him walk in the café too, just so he sees how many people Akko has inspired but also how much people can believe in magic)
But like I said many times already, this is just my take on what could have been handled better a bit. I still really love the show and its characters. I don’t necessarily want a whole new season, since they did wrap up many things already, but I’d love a movie or some OVAs to explore some characters more in depth.
Speaking of which, I’m just going to drop this here at the end, because I do want to talk about it but not that in depth. The thing about Ursula/Chariot and Croix. I kind of enjoyed the OVA-Ursula more, because she was kind of spunky and you could tell that she believed in her own strength. Series-Ursula is a freaking Jedi, but she is just so meek and nervous, and that even as Chariot, which I didn’t really like. Croix is an interesting character and I love me my evil scientists, but she turned generic antagonist at the end. As expected, tbh. The only thing about Croix I want to highlight is that I believed so hard that she and Andrew were somehow linked or related. Because when you binge the series, Croix shows up shortly after Andrew’s introduction. And in a series with so many unique eyes, they have the fucking same. I just thought that Trigger was hinting at something, because not only do they have a very similar shape and the exact same string green colour, the first few episodes with them heavily focus the camera on their eyes. Especially with Croix! It felt like the anime told me ‘look, look close at those eyes, seem familiar, right?’. I waited so long for something to happen but it never did, what a shame. Though, maybe they did have something planned but just like the initial ending, they scrapped that idea but left the designs untouched.
Anyways, I’ve been ranting for over 4000 words now, I think that should be enough for one little analysis. If you have your own thoughts, feel free to share them with me!

5x07. “Emily” (part 2 of 2) - X-Files Rewatch
This... is an extremely long post. It not only involves "Emily" analysis but some creative thinking surrounding "Per Manum" from season 8, due to some inconsistencies surrounding the storylines in both. I think I have a fix though!
Scully's dream - walking by herself on some sort of desert - "Alone, as ever." I refuse to use the word that gets used in this series while talking about Scully's fertility here, even though I think this scene is is meant to allude to it. Gross.
It's one thing for Scully to have the knowledge that she cannot conceive and to think she has the possibility of adopting her sister's child. It's quite another to discover that Emily is hers, and possibly the only child that will ever be hers, and that she was created unwillingly out of trauma. 😥
She doesn’t hesitate to call Mulder. She needs to find out Emily's history, needs to KNOW to have power over it. She doesn't care too much about the implications - what led her to her daughter, hearing her sister's voice. It doesn't matter, all that she cares about is Emily.
I love that Scully told Emily about Mulder before he got there. He's important to her and will be just as much a part of Emily's life as he is in Scully's. I wonder what she told her?
The picture of Mulder seeing the two of them on the floor together. Emily's grin is eerily similar to Scully's. What must Mulder be thinking?
He's so good with kids, too. Wish we'd seen more daddy Mulder. Such a waste.
Mulder calls her out on why she didn't call him sooner. He's starting to push a bit more, be a bit more demanding and critical when she does things that don't make sense (but that he knows are pushing the boundaries for her in terms of her belief).
Scully wanting him as a witness in her adoption hearing. But Mulder says he should have declined because he doesn't want to see her hurt. 😥 He has a feeling this can only end badly.
Really shitty of Mulder to reveal the fact that he knew that Scully's ova were harvested during her abduction for the first time IN FRONT OF A JUDGE. Whyyyyy didn't he tell her this... oh, y'know... on the way over? So she's not sitting there with her mouth open completely vulnerable and exposed? it was necessary to tell the judge so that it would support Scully's adoption - that things were forcibly removed from her and then experimented with to create Emily. But he SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER BEFORE THIS. (I talk about this more in my analysis at the end.)
Scully looking back at Mulder in relief that Emily's still there, cut short by realizing she's sick. Mulder immediately taking her in his arms. 😥
"Are you two the parents?"
he subtle looks between themselves
then Scully saying she's the mother, even though its complicated - what else can she say without telling a stupidly long and complicated story?
Scully grasping Mulder's shoulder at the window & standing close, seeing what is happening with Emily in the room. Poor Emily, all alone in the room, causing someone else to be sick. 😥
Mulder going to Dr. Calderon and doing what he does (frustration manifesting as physical violence) while Scully stays by Emily's side.
"I want everything to help that little girl."
Scully in a mask. Her tenderness 😥 Her heart breaking when she has to put Emily in a scary situation - the sound of the machine.
The idea that she's found a child but now she's dying and will lose her. D:>
Threatening the social worker - ensuring she can still make decisions about Emily. Though she's not the most objective, she has the most knowledge about the strangeness surrounding her.
God Emily is so stinkin' cute. Scully makes cute babies.
Standing close outside Emily's room. Wanting to reassure Mulder despite what she's going through. HUG HER DAMNIT (though she'd probably not want him to right now).
He puts his arm around her, says he'll stay but Scully wants to be alone.
she doesn't want to be around him when she breaks down
this isn't about him, she can't spare any energy worrying about him
she can't let him in yet. Doesn't think he thinks of her in a romantic way and can't let him in out of pity. Needs to stay strong. Also she's pissed at him (see below).
At the funeral, Mulder wanting to comfort. Gazing.
Deep dive Emily analysis/fix. (Also “Per Manum” stuff.)
So there’s a contradiction in Emily/Per Manum. As written, both episodes contradict each other.
EMILY (Adoption Hearing for Emily) MULDER: She was missing for 4 weeks, that's documented in the file. JUDGE: And you found evidence that during this time, she was subjected to experiments where ... you say, they extracted her ova? MULDER: Yes, all of them. (Scully is stunned.)
(LATER ON.) SCULLY: Why didn't you tell me, Mulder? MULDER: I never expected this. I thought I was protecting you.
PER MANUM (Elevators of FBI Building) SCULLY: I was left unable to conceive with whatever test that they did on me. And I am not ready to accept that I will never have children. MULDER: Scully, there's, um, there's something I haven't told you either and I hope you, uh, forgive me and understand why I would have kept it from you. SCULLY: What? MULDER: During my investigation into your illness I found out the reason why you were left barren. Your ova were taken from you and stored in a government lab.
Events of Per Manum deal with the EXACT SAME CONVERSATION but in a MUCH LESS SHITTY manner (well, except for the use of the word "barren"). Mulder tells her what he knows in private, and is apologetic. The question being, which came first? Is Per Manum unreliable because it's a memory? Doesn't seem likely that Scully would forget exactly what happened, but it seems that it is the only possibility. Perhaps instead of telling Mulder straight out about not being able to conceive she only tells him about not wanting to accept it. Therefore Emily happens first then Per Manum. And once we get there in the series I’ll reveal when I think the flashback occurred (it’s within season 5).
EDITED/FIX’D PER MANUM SCENE:
SCULLY: I was left unable to conceive with whatever test that they did on me. And I am not ready to accept that I will never have children. MULDER: Scully, there's, um, there's something I haven't told you either and I hope you, uh, forgive me and understand why I would have kept it from you. SCULLY: What? MULDER: During my investigation into your illness I found out that your the reason why you were left barren. Your ova were taken from you and stored in a government lab.
(This also has the bonus of removing Mulder saying “that word” so yeah.
The reason for the extra stuff in Per Manum is just pure laziness, not wanting to re-explain to people who didn't remember stuff from Emily, not wanting to have additional flashbacks to the episode to save time.
The adoption hearing is where Scully shuts herself away from Mulder. She wanted more from him, wanted a second chance. With Emily, perhaps her priority shifted to her daughter, but she wanted Mulder included in whatever that relationship ended up being. When she learns that Mulder kept all of this from her, it is a very large step backwards. Scully won't initiate anything not only out of fear that Mulder doesn't feel the same, fear of a deeper connection, but also because he PISSED HER OFF.
Hiding knowledge from Scully is very bad. She NEEDS TO KNOW, in order to have power over terrible things that are done to her. She goes into pathology to have power over death and dying. She focuses on finding out what happened to her when she was abducted, despite being recently returned, needing to know to have power over her fears about it. That he withheld these things from her takes away her power/her control over them.
At her brother's house, sitting on the couch unusually far away from each other.
Why didn't you tell me, Mulder? - Scully I never expected this. I thought I was protecting you. - Mulder
Anything else that might need to be said is interrupted by a phone call. Emily needs their help.
Scully wants to say more, wants to call him out for why his actions hurt her so much, but her focus switches immediately to Emily, on being there for her, instead of thinking too deeply about anything else. Also, Scully needs Mulder's help, and he did come from a place of wanting to protect her, so she focuses on who the "real" enemies are at the moment. These facts do not excuse the shitty things Mulder did, but provide a reason for her to ignore it for the moment.
Scully folds in on herself after losing Emily. It will be a while before she can open up to Mulder, to anyone. DISTANCES HERSELF because she needs to heal, needs to go back to the safely and familiarity of JUST work. She CANNOT risk any more right now. She's be extremely hesitant to open up again. She's regressed emotionally to where she was before her cancer diagnosis, probably WORSE.
Scully's fears came true. Her fear of death/loss once she opened herself up.
She takes a chance on the little girl, Missy's voice and her instincts causing her to pursue the investigation - all she learns is that when she takes a chance, when she believes in something other than the expected, all she gets is pain and sorrow. (Although she wouldn’t trade having known Emily for anything, the experience is a terrible one to have to go through.)

Yeah! I think I will rewatch that part of the arc with this theory in my mind too, looking for the slightest foreshadowing😆
Honestly, when I look back to the two seasons I watched (without the OVA) my favourite arc was the first 4 episodes from S2, Dark Era. Don’t get my teasing words about Dazai wrong, I totally loved learning about his past and getting to know his Port Mafia self😖❤️ I would’ve killed to get a full 12-episode season only featuring his PM times, I was so sad when the 5th episode returned to the normal arc and not even Kunikida could compensate I didn’t have a nice relationship with Dazai before that, it was more like a (25%)love-hate(75%) relationship but now he’s much more.. human in my mind and he’s evolving and I’m so proud of him😌
And ahh, that article! It has been in my “to-read” list FOREVER, I’m dying to read it but I want to watch Dead Apple and S3 first in order to have the right background for him😩 (also, do we have any information on S4? i really hope they will keep following the manga)
That's exciting!! I do hope this theory isn't keeping you from going to season 3 haha. I love rewatching BSD I seem to discover new things when I rewatch it, especially if I have a theory in mind! And it just brings me comfort honestly💕 I have been meaning to rewatch season 3, I have for a few episodes then I stopped🏃♀️
And don't worry! I got you on that haha🥰 If I am going to be honest, the dark era is honestly my favorite arc (thus far) too! It's so beautiful, yet saddening at the same time🤧
And yes! This arc showed so much more about Dazai! It definitely makes him so much more complex and 3 dimensional! And I'm so proud of him too, he's come a long way😭 I wish for happiness for him😖💕💕
And omg! It's definitely worth a read☺ Take your time, no rush at all! And as for season 4, I personally have not heard any news yet unfortunately😭 I think I'm planning on reading the manga soon (after this semester ends) because of that.

Ok, lets talk the Winter 2021 anime season
Dear god, there are so many shows airing. A ton of sequels, and a decent amount of new shows. I think I’ll actually break down what I’m interested in watching into two parts, sequels and new. Lets get started.
Watching:
Sequels
Jujutsu Kaisen - This is technically a continuation rather than a sequel, but the spirit is the same. This was my choice for favorite anime of the season fall 2020 so this continuation has me pretty hyped.
Black Clover - Still continuing. The manga had a 6 month time skip and the anime did some anime only stories with the author’s direction to cover that time period and now it’s caught up to that time skip. Shit is about to go down and I am stoked.
Attack On Titan: Final Season - So this started airing in December which makes for a strange airing schedule, but it’s technically continuing from the fall season into the winter season. Anyway, it is fucking fantastic and this week’s episode left us on a major cliff-hanger for 2 weeks.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime S2P1 - Ok, so first... HOLY FUCK I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SEASON, IT’S GOING TO BE AMAZING. Second, yes this is part 1. Thanks to covid there are some longer running seasons that are being split up to accommodate the production schedule. So this part 1 is airing in winter, then in the spring the 4-koma comedy re-telling is airing, and then in summer part 2 of this season 2 will air. it’s annoying, but 3 continuous season of slime is a welcome thing.
Re:Zero S2P2 - Alright, so this is the second half of summer 2020′s season 2 part 1. I have high expectations considering what we’ve already been given.
Dr. Stone: Stone Wars (S2) - HOLY FUCK I’M SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR THIS SHOW, I LOVED THE FIRST SEASON AND AM READING THE MANGA AND OMG I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE.
The Promised Neverland S2 - More of the promised neverland. I’ve heard that this season will go even harder than the first season and Emma will prove even more why she’s best girl, so bring it on.
The Quintessential Quintuplets S2 - A second season of a decent harem show? Bring it on.
Log Horizon S3 - So I didn’t watch this when the first 2 seasons aired years ago, 6 I think actually. That said it’s always been on my PTW list and when I heard season 3 was going to air I decided that now was the time to catch up; and wow am I glad I did. I binged the first 2 seasons over the last 3 weeks and I am so fucking invested now. I cannot wait for this next season.
Higurashi GOU - this is continuing from last season and I’ll keep watching it, though I’m still not quite sure how to evaluate it.
Yuru Camp S2 - WOOHOO!!!!! This was the chillest of chill shows that aired winter 2018 and I absolutely loved it. I’m so excited for this next season for more camping and adorable girls being chill.
World Trigger S2 - So I was under the impression that there were already 2 seasons of this show, I watched most of it I think but it’s been so long I don’t really remember much. But this is being called season 2... so either this is retconning the previous season 2 or that was really just 1 big season despite the notation on some websites. Also a S3 has already been announced so I need to hurry up and rewatch this before the new season airs. But with 73 episodes that might take a bit of time.
Armor Shop for Ladies and Gentlemen S2 - This is a sequel to the short anime of the same name. If you like it, you like it.
New
Cells at Work S2 - Ok, technically this is a sequel, but I’m including it here because of something cool that’s happening with the next title.
Cells at Work: Black - Why yes, this is a different Cells at Work title. This is based on the spin-off manga of the same title that gender swaps the cells from the main series and covers their work inside an extremely unhealthy body. This is going to be a grittier, bloodier, and bleaker show than the main one and in a fun airing scheduling event, they will be airing back to back. I’m quite excited for the both of these.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS GETTING AN ADAPTATION! SADLY IT’S A SPLIT COUR SO THIS IS THE FIRST HALF OF SEASON 1 AND THE SECOND HALF WILL AIR LATER PROBABLY IN THE SUMMER. BUT THAT’S OK BECAUSE EVERYTHING I HAVE SEEN ABOUT THIS SO FAR TELLS ME THIS WILL BE A PRETTY DAMN FAITHFUL ADAPTATION AND IT IS GOING TO BE FANTASTIC.
Horimiya - I’ve heard many good things about this romance show and am looking forward to it.
Redo of Healer - Ok, here we go. This is going to be the outrage anime of the season. That is, if it is actually watched by people. It’s also getting 3 different levels of censoring so uh, I’ll have to check for the proper versions when it airs.
So I’m a Spider, So What? - Ok, so funny story. I’d been hearing about this manga for a while so I decided to dive into it a few months back. As I read it, I thought it was pretty funny but I wondered if the anime adaptation would be great for a comedy manga about a reincarnated girl into a spider’s body. Then about 3 weeks ago, I realized I was reading the comedy spin-off instead of the main story. That said I’m still quite excited to see this adapted and I’ll get the manga after then anime is done.
The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter - Hella ecchi, actually pretty fun manga. I’m looking forward to this adaptation.
Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies moved to a started town - Hopefully this will be as fun as the manga was. Here’s a better synopsis than the Livechart one - Lloyd is the weakest person in his remote village but his dream is to become a soldier in the big city. So he moves to the city and strives to make his dream come true. However in a twist, it turns out that the remote village Lloyd came from is the retirement town for all the world’s strongest heroes and they are all massively overpowered, so when he gets to the city he’s stupidly OP but it doesn’t quite click for him. Shenanigans ensue. It’s fun and I’m looking forward to this adaptation.
Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki - This is supposed to be not quite as good a romance as Horimiya this season, but still decent. If that is the comedy romance this is the drama romance show and hopefully it’ll be good.
Kemono Jihen - Mystery, supernatural, Yokai. I’m intrigued in this show and hope it’s decent.
Otherside Picnic - Shoujo Ai, Sci-Fi, I’m sold.
Hortensia SAGA - This is based on a game, but I’ve heard that the story and scope are actually quite good and the PV actually looks quite good so I’m definitely gonna check this one out.
SK8 the Infinity - Ok, so my first impression of this was nah, I’ll pass. But then I saw the PV and saw it was being animated by BONES and my impression changed to Ok I have to at least give it a couple episodes.
2.43 Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team - So this is supposed to be Haikyuu except lots more drama and less gameplay. It will really have to pull me in in order to get me to not think boring Haikyuu when I watch it. I’ll give it a couple episodes.
Dr. Ramune -Mysterious Disease Specialist- - Doctor heals people from Yokai or something like that. The tags look interesting as do the character designs. I’ll check it out.
Back Arrow - Fantasy setting but BOOM... Mecha! That premise at least demands a couple episodes of my attention.
Heaven’s Design Team - Here’s my chill comedy SOL show of the season. The premise is Heaven has a design team that creates/created all the animals. I’m very excited to see the shenanigans.
Gekidol - Idols and stage acting. After watching the new Love Live last season I’m in the mood for some idol stuff. But most interesting to me is the next show on this list.
Alice in Deadly School - It’s not currently known whether this will be a full series or an OVA or some other thing, but this is an anime of the stage play that is being put on in Gekidol. The same VAs in Gekidol that play the characters in this play are voicing the characters for this anime production. And I just think this whole setup is neat and am very interested to see it play out (pun fully intended).
Idoly Pride - This seems to be a more straight-forward idol show which I’m going to check out.
Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san - Girl doesn’t quite cut it to do the thing she and her friend came to do, but she found that she can cook so uses her cooking for support her friends. SOL, lets go.
Wave!! Surfing Yappe!! - Surfing show, the animation will make or break this show so we will see how it turns out.
Wow, that is a lot of shows, lets add them up.
13 sequels and continuations
22 new shows
35 total. I kinda hope some of these suck cause HOT DAMN, that’s a lot of shows.

Fanwright’s Five! (... other ships besides Sokkla)
@gd2go2 - Very late with this. Apologies.
So, I have five other ships I like as well. Some are more recent than others, some have been near and dear to me for a long time, and some might even surprise you. Here are just a few ships that like, in no particular order of importance.
1.] Alita and Yugo - Battle Angel Alita
This is closest I've ever come across to a cyberpunk Romeo and Juliet story. Besides the couple themselves, this manga (and OVA) solidified my love for the cyberpunk genre and showed me that one could tell story within a dystopian future that could revolve around a tragic love story. There is a reason why the recent live action adaption was made with their particular story arc in mind. Its about a cyborg girl with a mysterious past trying to find her place in a cruel world, about a hard working and desperate boy who’s just trying to find a better life beyond the slums.
Its young love, sometimes innocent, and sometimes gritty, and ultimately tragic. Their story hit me hard and harsh lessons were learned by the main character. Alita became a more mature yet embittered girl after Yugo lost his life, but she kept on going all the same. She met other men, but Yugo, I like to think, continues to hold a special place in her cybernetic heart. Its not a story that’s going to win Oscars, but but man, did it really click with me.
They’re very sweet with each other and on a few occasions they even address the fact about how odd their relationship is. Alita can’t actually feel his hands when they touch. Yugo even comments on the fact that their first kiss was electric. Literally. Like kissing a battery. It got me thinking about how relationships with a few physical hiccups can be possible, but also that they can be overcome in unique ways. As you can probably tell, the little moments between them really resonated with me. Its just very sweet.
2.] Dio and Luciola - Last Exile
Yes, those are two guys. And yes, that would make this a gay ship. In fact its probably only one of two that I ship seriously, the other being Korra with Asami. Surprised? So was I. So let me me explain.
These two have a very interesting relationship. They’re technically childhood friends, but they first met as master and servant. The blonde guy, Luciola, is a servant to the white haired guy, Dio Eraclea. He’s essentially like a one-man retinue for Dio. And Dio is a kind of prince from a mysterious faction called “The Guild” who have a monopoly on technology in the world of Last Exile. Since they were young Dio and Lucciola were inseparable. There are strong hints that their relationship goes beyond being just close friends and its actually very touching to learn in its own way. Dio is very carefree, a bit childish and spoiled, and also sort of enigmatic. Luciola is very quiet, sober, and expressionless, often the voice of calm and reason for Dio.
They have a weird charm that really resonated with me, being both oddly funny yet extremely loyal to each other. They actually got me to thinking that its okay to ship gay ships like this, even if I myself am not gay. If I have no qualms about lesbian ships why should I have qualms about gay ships that I happen to like? Its a learning experience. It is what it is. Same-sex fictional ships don’t really resonate with me, but this one did.
... also Luciola died trying to protect Dio. That kinda sucked. This would be the second ship to have someone die in it.
3.] Jack and Ashi - Samurai Jack
When Samurai Jack was announced to be making a comeback for a final season, I was overjoyed. I had never thought in a million years that the show would ever make a comeback after it was dropped. It was last hurrah for a solid show and I was totally on board with seeing how it would end.
It did not disappoint me. Not one single bit. And if anything reignited my love for this show all over again. Even more so, it actually had a coherent story to follow and really did pull at my emotional stings in some places. Jack finally got to go back home and defeat Aku and he had some help along the way, from one of Aku’s daughters even - Ashi. Yes, Ashi actually a daughter of Aku and its just as disturbing to imagine as you might think.
Jack and Ashi’s journey could be said to be one of the emotional driving forces of this final season. They started off as true enemies, with Jack actually having to kill Ashi’s sisters. She was honestly spared almost by chance. And the deaths actually weighed on Jack a lot, with Ashi bearing witness to an internal struggle that nearly concluded in Jack ending his own life. It was only narrowly avoided with the help of Ashi. It was honestly such an emotional roller coaster ride to see. and the payoff with them getting together and getting married was so good, along with Jack finally going back home after all the harrowing adventures he went through. It was great!
... but then Ashi died because of some time travel mumbo-jumbo shit and that made Jack really sad. I’m still salty about it. I’m starting to see a theme with the ships I like so far lol.
4.] McCree and Asche - Overwatch
Cowboy and Cowgirl. I just... I just really dig it. Its an awesome aesthetic. They sweat bullets and bleed whiskey and they’re like a futuristic Spaghetti Western couple with a bit of history together. I just really like that and I dig it.
I have no in-depth reason for liking this ship. I just do and I love it. Heheheh.
5.] Jaune and Pyrrha - RWBY
This one is a recent ship that really captured my interest as I rewatch the show. RWBY has been a show I’ve been able to follow only very erratically, but from what I’ve seen so far its been a very solid show for me. And I also like the personalties of these two a lot, as well as how they play off each other and how the develop a relationship. Pyrrha takes inspiration from Achilles, while Jaune takes inspiration from Joan of Arc. I’m still trying to get to know them as properly rewatch the show, but I definitely like them together. Its a nice couple.
And yes, to those who already know, I know Pyrrha dies. It seems to be a running theme with the ships I like on this list unfortunately. Its not like I pick these to torture myself! I never wanted her to die anyway!
... seriously why do all these ships on my list have deaths in them!
Anyway, there is my list of five. These aren’t my only other ships of course, I more less chose them at random.

BNHA Rewatch: Episode 37 “Katsuki Bakugo: Orgin”
mysterylover123
Oh My God. It’s This One.
The opening is a flashback recap of everything that’s built us up to this. Simply put, in Bakugo’s mind, he hasn’t achieved a single victory since he arrived at UA. This is his chance to prove himself. In Deku’s mind, they’re up against an impossible foe and their only chance is to run, because who could ever defeat All Might (I guess this proves OVA 1 definitely isn’t canon, sadly, since if that was true by this point they’d have already done just that).
At the start of the match, Bakugo is completely in his own Baku-lane, Deku in his. Deku has no confidence in himself and Kacchan to win; Bakugo has no willingness to listen to any alternative ideas. They aren’t listening to each other. BTW, the framing on the anime panel in this scene doesn’t make Bakugo such an irresponsible idiot: He does walk next to Deku initially and tries to talk to him, and doesn’t blow him off for nearly 5 hours ahead of time.
Asshole. Though Deku gets to punch him back in a few scenes. Give it time.
On the other hand, they may have reached Peak “Like an Old Married Couple” vibes in this scene. “I don’t need to stop and ask for directions!” “This is why we never have real conversations”.
Holy shit they think the same thing at the same time. Maybe they’re not so different after all.
While this does show Baku’s determination, it also shows that he’s reached Deku territory of “I don’t care what happens to me as long as I achieve my goal”.
And for those of you looking for catharsis for Bakugo being a jerk, let’s start up a “Bakugo Owned Counter” for this ep. Starting with: Head smashed into the dirt by All Might (1)
Deku just can’t abandon his teammate directly. If it weren’t for Bakugo, he’d never have even considered hitting All Might. They kinda need each other.
We all knew Deku would be the little spoon.
RG metas a bit about them and wisely points out that Deku admires All Might too much. Also, she wonders what’s driving him. Don’t we all. And we’re about to get our answer: I WILL WIN. THAT’S WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HERO. (win vs save)
OW NO NOT MY DEKU!
Bakugo owned counter: 2. Punched so hard he vomits.
Deku yells out in concern for his boyfriend and flashes back to a time when Kacchan was an adorable little moppet who thought All Might was so cool too. Because he always won! (And there’s Deku watching with love struck eyes).
Mentally, Deku admits that he ‘always admired him for that’. You could say he’s your..image of victory? Eh? Eh?
All Might starts giving him the lecture from DVK2 but gets interrupted.
Bakugo owned count: 3. So insecure that he just gives up.
Yep. NOt because Bakugo picks on him, not because he’s an asshole, not because he hit him earlier, but because he was willing to give up on and betray who he really is. That’s how much Deku cares. (Bakugo owned count: 4).
Now some fanservice-y anime filler: Deku carrying Kacchan
Deku gushing over Kacchan (OMG BB DEKU IS SO CUTE AND SO IN LURV!)
Kacchan Kabe-doning Deku. For all his temper, Bakugo does have a point: Running away from All Might does no good. The only chance they got is to hit AM with everything they’ve got.
Each one proceeds to borrow a piece of the other’s arsenal: Deku borrows Kacchan’s gauntlet, and with it his courage and willingness to face All Might head on. What Baku borrows from Deku is more intransient, but...hell, I think I’ll just make a list:
WHAT DEKU HAS THAT BAKUGOU NEEDS:
1. Teamwork and cooperation/respect for others
Deku is great at teamwork and can cooperate with anyone. He showcased this in the Hero Killer arc especially, working with Shoto.
2. Kindness and empathy
Well, Duh.
3. Humility
Also duh.
4. Saving other people; the spirit of self-sacrifice
Yep. Triple yes.
WHAT BAKUGOU HAS THAT DEKU NEEDS:
1. Power and the willingness to use it
Not just being born with a powerful quirk, but knowing how to apply it.
2. Confidence
Believing in yourself.
3. Optimism
Believing in a good future. Deku is too melancholic for it.
4. The ability to go plus-ultra in the face of a wall.
Smiling in the face of defeat. Demanding the best from your opponent.
IN THIS EP, EACH ONE TAKES ONE OF THE OTHER’S POWERS.
KACCHAN: 1. Teamwork: Works together with Deku to beat All Might. 2. Empathy...communicates his actual thoughts to someone. 3. Humility: Chooses the escape gate to win. 4: Saving others: Throws himself in All Might’s path to protect Deku.
DEKU: 1. Power: Both the gauntlet and Full Cowl to Knock AM in the face. 2. Confidence: Learns to believe they could’ve even KO’s All Might. 3. Optimism: Re; the above. 4. Smiling in the face of a Wall: Just behold.
BACK TO THE EPISODE SORRY FOR THE ESSAY
Their complicated feels about each other (manga panels for text) Denial. hahaha
Wow Deku turns around fast. “Wow did we actually beat him?” “No, jeez, hypocritical much, ya damn nerd?”
Bakugou owned count: 5 (kneed so hard in the face he goes crashing into a building)
Bakugo owned count: 6 (smacked down with his own bf) & 7 (Crushed beneath All Might’s foot)
NOW KISS!!!!!!
Oh eff you All Might! (There’s a sentence I never thought I’d say but damn that looked like it hurt!) Is it me or has UA fucked Deku up more directly than Tomura ever has? Seriously, Shigaraki hasn’t done any direct harm to Deku yet, certainly nothing on the level of breaking his effing back.
Smiling in the face of a wall. Oh man that pain animation tho...Oh and Deku guesses what he’ll do, of course, because...you know, mind mates, stuff like that.
“I’LL BREAK MYSELF” OH GOD THE FEELS HE’S JUST LIKE HIS S/O
“HOW DARE YOU? THAT’S MY KACCHAN!!!!”
TOGA AND DABI!
The metaphor of Ep 37 is pretty obvious. The two halves of the future greatest hero, the kids who each want to be just like him, having to defeat their idol at least once in battle to prove they can do it. And only by working together and learning from each other can they become the greatest heroes who both win and rescue. I love this one, as a fight, as an episode, as a season finale. It’s all around a winner. Just like it’s title character.
(no need for the corner, of course. The whole episode is the corner).
RANKER: Best Bakugou Quotes
5. “I will win this. That’s what it means to be a hero, Deku.”
4. “Can't stand morons like you who can't get to the damned point! Basically you're saying, 'we wanna cause trouble, be our pal!' What a joke! I've always admired All Might's triumphs. No matter what any of you jerks say... Nothing's ever gonna change that”
3. “If all you ever do is look down on others, you’ll never learn to recognize your own weaknesses.”
2. “So why, why was I the reason for All Might’s end?”
1. “I break...and break...myself. Even if there’s nothing left of me, I will win the way I want to.”

I Am Looking For More OP Blogs On Tumblr
I have been noticing that whenever I follow a Tumblr user (most of them are rebloggers), they disappear from my Following count (either they deactivated their account, or blocked me; but mostly their account gets deactivated). Most Tumblr users want more followers; I want more blogs to follow, especially OP (original post) blogs.
I am not saying there should be no rebloggers (in fact, I encourage reblogging); it is that there are so many users that only/mostly reblog other users’ posts; I want to follow more OP users because I have a big thing for originality, creativity, and individuality. Rebloggers tend to agree on what the OP (or other reblogger) says, and whenever I go to the tagged or search section/s, only the OP posts are apparent, and no rebloggers with their own creative tags (unless I go to their blog and search whatever keyword/tag they designate some of their posts with).
Yes, I reblog other users’ posts, myself, but I tend to add my own thoughts and tags whenever I do so; and since my reblogs are not in the tagged or search sections, these posts are not mine, since I am not the OP. Even some OP users have reblogged posts of their own, as well (but they usually do not go overboard with them, and they usually have an equal amount of reblogs as well as original posts). Because I promote creativity, talent and individuality, I do not reblog as much as most OP users.
I am looking for more OP blogs for me to follow (or to follow me so I can follow them) that are currently active and not defunct or dormant. And whatever the OP user posts on their blog is their primary content. Here are some content I am looking for:

- Ask memes (usually for fandom related topics)
If anyone already has posts like any of these, feel free to follow me so I can check out your content (I usually follow back if the content a user contains satisfies me, but sometimes I choose not to; spam users, on the other hand...). For those who have not logged in to Tumblr (and have content you chose to base your future blog as), please do so; the more creative individuals in the site (if not the whole Internet), the better.
That is all I will say for now. Until I find such content that is ongoing for the 2020′s, I will explore what is available so far. I am certain other users might have similar needs and desires like I do, as well.
This is FirebirdTransAm68 signing out.
