For people who’ve read the Hokkaido arc, does Kaoru feel off to you? I realized she’s matured as a person and is a mother now but her personality is just not as spunky and tough as it used to be. I also get icky vibes from the manga seemingly pushing her into a housewife role.

Idk I love Kaoru and the rough side of her personality and I wanna see it again. It could just be me but let me know if you guys feel this change too and what you think about it

I've been having fun drawing some of my favorite girls! Tomo-Chan, Kaoru, Akane, and Utena for the first round. I would be TERRIFIED to play volleyball with them, but Nabiki would make BANK selling the photos.

Disclaimer: I loved Kenshin when I was a baby buying VHS dubs at Suncoast in the 90s. Kaoru is a girl boss. Runs a dojo regardless of her ENTIRE class ditching her, takes it on the chin when others mock her, adopts orphaned Yahiko and trains him up, DEFEATS A MEMBER OF THE JUPPONGATANA, and rocks a kimono or hakama at any given time. Sucks that the creator is gross, but that doesn't make me hate my girl.
