Some of you "Gregory Defenders" are starting to annoy the absolute hell out of me

And this isn't about the "whether Gregory is innocent or guilty" side of the argument you're on, but about how obnoxious and unhinged some of y'all are about it regardless of the "side" you're on.

Not everyone in the fandom is going to like Gregory, nor will everyone see him as innocent. Some may even say he's a cold and manipulative backstabber, or that he's only popular because of "male protag privilege". And you know what, that's actually all okay and valid. And you know why?

Because Gregory is not real.

People are going to create stuff about Gregory (or any other fictional character really,) that won't always align with you. And they're entitled to do it, no matter how wrong you think they are! Instead of policing what other people create about your blorbo, just look away and seek content about them that you actually like. If a particular creator's vision on Gregory is too much of a deal-breaker for you, just block and blacklist and move on. Or create the content you want yourself instead of badgering other people.

Also keep in mind that Gregory being antagonized in a fic/art/etc doesn't always translate to the authors hating him, chances are they're just writting it from other characters' perspectives who may have whatever beef with him in the given setting, so don't go jumping to conclusions either. And even if the antagonism does come from the author's personal bias, that still gives you no right to harrass them anyways.

I will continue liking Cassie over Gregory and I do think she's better and I will continue rambling about Cassie hating Gregory for believing he betrayed her even if it was the Mimic, because it is an interesting scenario, and I personally think the whole GGY thing was dumb and unnecessary (he could still have been an interesting character as just an unlucky homeless boy without any sinister plot-twist.) That's it; There's no fucking need to make it about morality, ffs. If you don't like that, ignore it, or unfollow me if it's that much of a deal-breaker for you.

All y'all are doing is giving reasonable Gregory fans a bad name, and actually making people dislike him further by oversaturating him and forcing him into a source of stress and disdain rather than enjoyment for them, where people start actually getting sick of seeing him around (and I feel that myself already.)

honestly i’m not a reddit lurker…embarrassingly enough i happened upon the thread while looking for manga panels of otoya on google ���� goofy ass mf taking over my life and whatnot

100% i think it’s almost a self fulfilling prophecy — kids start off writing on wattpad, so the quality isn’t great, which means adults searching for smth better written go to sites like tumblr/ao3, leaving mostly people who can read objectively more beginner work on there, and because they’re so used to that, that’s what wp authors will put out. then because the ecosystem is as such, there’s no motivation to improve as authors can get away w a simplistic writing style and still be popular. ofc this doesn’t apply to everyone — i myself post on wp sometimes, so there’s obviously going to be other people who can write fairly well and upload on there for various reasons — but for the most part that’s kind of the case. actually ime more complex/better written stories will get less popular and more hate/complaining-type comments than the very surface level y/n-harem type of stories. that’s not to bash on the latter kind of story but it’s just an interesting observation i’ve made!! i think it speaks a lot to the wp audience

You guys know/remember the Helicopter penis? Well, Beej would totally do that with you, he just gives off those vibes.

It was originally the name I had for a comic I wanted to create and post on here. Didn’t end up doing so though.

Yes, but one is my gerita ask blog and the other two are for me to host fandom events (aushun week and German bros week). No side blogs that are like solely dedicated to reblogging a certain thing or anything like that.

I joined like January of 2018 but didn’t start using it often until 2019.

My queue brings all the boys- to hell with your queue. And since I’m mostly on mobile, and mobile doesn’t let you search for tags that have dashes, I have to write it manually like 3/4 times 🙃

Wanted to see the fandom stuff and post my own art.

No? If I dislike someone I block, if they’re making piss poor takes on my posts or in my inbox I block. I don’t want to publicly fight some stranger on the internet, going back and forth covering my followers dash. That’s childish. If I think it’s a misunderstanding or the person is genuinely confused then I’ll be polite and try and correct them or myself.

15. How do you feel about need to rb posts?

Hate ‘em. You don’t need to tack on those dumb lines to make people feel bad about themselves for choosing to not click a button. Donating your money and real time to important things is much more effective in making change then reblogging a post on the internet. Not to mention with what’s going on rn people deserve a place to escape, Tumblr might be that place.

If I reblog one it’s cause I skim read it and didn’t notice the guilt tripping, or couldn’t find another post that talked about it. Idc what the post is about I never expect any of you to reblog or else.
