I just ordered my second pair of goth shoes ever (if not counting lace up boots, those were everyday for me). I have a bit of an aversion to buying shoes and my yeolde platforms were fine. Now the zipper is stuck and I have to unbuckle the shoe.

Royal Decree: Balance is bad, don't let opponent use all their tools

So in yeolde days of Yu-Gi-Oh, it wasnt uncommon to have a fair balance of 14 monsters, 13 spells, 13 traps, however, royal Decree let you switch that to 3 traps, freeing up 10 slots for more aggro, while making 13 opponents cards dead draws, and forcing them to use destruction on decree, rather than on your other win conditions.

Same example works on army building;

Back in 5th I ran a 1000pt earth gretchin army that went 54-1-1 over a few months at locals, simply by being too ineffective to kill (in 5th the main VP was fully killing units, but due to attack removal, army wide cover saves, large unit sizes, and dumbass artillery rules, it made it as hard as possible)

The best example was the lascannon

For 40pts you get a 3+ to hit, str 9, no save gun

Over 6 turns, you would hit 4, wound 4, and 3 would get past cover

This would kill 9pts

And that doesn't count the model carrying it

So by simply having no worthy targets, you've royal Decree"d the lascannon

It works in reverse too, nidzilla or wraithzilla with the entire army being T6+ 2/3+ saves, you negate enemy anti swarm / low str rapid / aoe

So by maximising similar defensive statlines, you have forced opponents to "waste" points, giving you a technically higher costs army.

Yall this is old english: "Sīe þīn nama ġehālgod". It means "May your name be hallowed." Out of all quotes I decided to go with that one cause it sounded cool. It came from the Anglo-Saxon Version of "The Lord's Prayer". I could have chosen Beowulf but such is life. Fun fact: Beowulf literally means "Bee Wollf" or Bear. Beorn's name from the Hobbit also means bear in Old English. Tolkien is cool.
