It’s a scorching summer day, and the heat has been pressing down on you like a heavy blanket, making you more irritable than usual. The air conditioning in your apartment is working overtime, but it does little to alleviate the sticky warmth clinging to your skin. You’ve been bratting out all morning—pouting, teasing, and being extra defiant toward Yelena, knowing it’s only a matter of time before she decides to put you in your place.
Yelena watches you from the kitchen, her sharp green eyes tracking your every movement as you sass her for the umpteenth time today. But instead of the stern look or the quick reprimand you’re expecting, a mischievous grin spreads across her face. You narrow your eyes at her, suspicious of the sudden change in demeanor.
“Что-то ты слишком игривая сегодня, крошка,”(You're a little too playful today, baby.) she murmurs in that smooth, accented voice that never fails to send shivers down your spine, even on a day as hot as this one.
You cross your arms over your chest, trying to keep up your bratty front, but there’s a flicker of curiosity in your eyes. “Maybe I’m just tired of being so hot, Daddy.”
Yelena chuckles softly, her grin widening as she walks over to the freezer, pulling it open. Your eyes follow her movements as she grabs the ice tray from the top shelf, popping a few cubes into her hand. The coldness of the ice catches the light, and a realization dawns on you, your eyes widening as you watch her approach.
“Yelena…” you start, but she’s already beside you, her free hand grabbing your wrist gently but firmly, guiding you to sit on the edge of the kitchen counter.
“Shh, малышка(baby). Let Daddy cool you down.”
Before you can protest, Yelena presses an ice cube against the side of your neck. The sudden coldness shocks your system, drawing a gasp from your lips as you instinctively jerk away. But Yelena’s strong hand is on your thigh now, holding you in place with a soft but unyielding grip.
“Stay still,” she orders, her voice low, but there’s a playful glint in her eyes.
You whimper, torn between the conflicting sensations of hot and cold, your skin prickling as she drags the ice cube down the length of your neck, trailing it over your collarbone. Your breath hitches, and you feel your brattiness melting away under her touch, replaced by a different kind of tension.
“Such a bratty little thing today,” Yelena murmurs as she continues her icy path, her voice laced with affection. “But I know what you need.”
She shifts the ice cube down to the dip of your cleavage, letting it slide lower, the freezing touch making you arch your back slightly. The whimper that escapes your lips is half protest, half plea, and it’s exactly what Yelena wanted to hear.
“See? Isn’t this better?” she teases, her fingers brushing against your heated skin as she pulls the now-smaller ice cube away, replacing it with a fresh one. “Maybe next time, you’ll behave, hm?”
You bite your lip, trying to suppress a moan as Yelena’s cool ministrations continue. The contrast between her warm hands and the icy touch is driving you mad, but in the best way possible. You can’t help but squirm under her gaze, feeling your defiance crumble completely.
Yelena leans in close, her breath warm against your ear as she whispers, “Or maybe you’ll keep being a brat just so Daddy can do this again.”
Yelena chuckles, her lips brushing against your temple as she places one final ice cube at the base of your throat. “Good girl,” she murmurs, her voice a soothing balm against the heat.
As the last of the ice melts away, Yelena’s hands find their way to your waist, pulling you close, her touch grounding you after the playful punishment. “Feeling better now, малышка?”
You nod, nuzzling into her neck, feeling the lingering coolness on your skin where the ice had been. “Yes, Daddy. Thank you.”
Yelena smiles, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Anytime, sweetheart. Now, let’s get you something cold to drink. You’ve earned it.”

Note
came up with this idea and now i can't get it out of my head lol so nat saves and adopts a teenage reader but when yelena finally meets the reader she hates her guts bc she feels like nat loves her more/has replaced her ( i imagine yelena in her 20s so not that much older than the reader) and like during a sparring session or something yelena takes it too far and like breaks the reader's arm so nat obviously blows up at her but then they eventually talk about their feelings and then yelena apologizes to the reader for acting so immature and cruel to them
Fight for affection

Very nervous Y/N sits on the couch, moving her leg up and down as she waits for Yelena to arrive. She has never met the woman before, but Natasha has been waiting to introduce her two favourite people to each other, so, once Yelena found a free day to come over, they immediately made plans.
It doesn’t take long for Yelena’s car to park on the driveway. Natasha goes to open the door right away, while Y/N waits in the living room, taking some deep breaths to calm herself down.
She can hear the two talking, though she isn’t fully paying attention to it. Once they start walking towards her, she stands up with a smile on her face.
Natasha and Yelena stand before her, the latter looking confused. “Yelena, this is Y/N.” She gestures at the teen with a smile.
“Hi.”
There’s a silence. “She isn’t a baby?” Yelena whispers to Natasha, but due to their closeness Y/N can hear it clearly.
Now it’s Natasha’s turn to look confused. “Why would she be a baby?”
“I thought you adopted a baby.”
“I specifically told you I adopted a teenage girl.” An annoyance grows in Natasha, not wanting to have this kind of conversation in front of her daughter.
Yelena scoffs. “Well, you can’t blame me for not hearing that. You said you adopted someone, and then I lost focus because I started thinking what to buy to a baby.”
Natasha lets out a harsh breath, but she brings a smile to her face once she notices Y/N’s tense body language. “Well, she’s not a baby.” She whispers quickly before going to set her arm over Y/N’s shoulders, bringing her closer. “This is Y/N, she is 16 years old, and I adopted her.” A proud smile adorns her face as she looks down at her daughter.
“Hi.” She says again, bringing a slightly shaky hand forward. “It’s nice to meet you, Yelena.”
A tense silence follows. Yelena has a frown on her face, but it disappears quickly when she glances at Natasha. “Hey, you too.” Her voice doesn’t match the enthusiasm that Y/N has and the hand shake feels very forceful.
They move on quickly, going to sit down on the couch to talk. For the rest of the time they’re together, Yelena has a subtle glare fixed on Y/N, especially whenever Natasha touches her.
Her sister speaks so highly of this teenager, but Yelena doesn’t see what’s so great about her that she doesn’t have. They’re both grew up in a bad place, they both know how to fight, though Yelena would bet her whole fortune she’s better at it, and they were saved by Natasha. The biggest difference they have, is that Natasha has known Yelena so much longer. So, why does it seem like she care for the teenager more than her?
Once Yelena starts to leave, she is in a sour mood. It’s like the younger girl is flaunting Natasha’s love and care in front of her face.
“-sit us soon again?”
She lifts her head to look at Natasha. “Huh?”
Natasha lets out a laugh. “Will you come visit us soon again?”
“Right.” She sighs. “Maybe. I have a busy schedule.”
“Okay, we’ll see you at the compound some time then.” Natasha hugs Yelena. “Bye bye.”
“Bye, sestra.”
“Bye!” Y/N waves, half of her body hidden behind Natasha.
Yelena walks to her car, completely ignoring her.
The next time they meet up is at the Avengers Compound, and Yelena’s feelings have not changed. If anything, her hatred and jealousy have grown while having time to wallow in those feelings alone.
Natasha and Yelena are talking in the compound’s living room, while Y/N is sitting in silence, only following the conversation from the sidelines. She can feel Yelena’s dislike, but she is too afraid to comment on it.
“Hey, Nat?” Steve pops up from the hallway. “Could you help me out with a report now that you’re here?”
“Of course,” she stands up, “I’ll be back soon.”
The smile on Yelena’s face disappears when she notices the assurance was given to Y/N instead of herself. The jealousy bubbles to the surface once again.
“Y/N.”
Her wide eyes snap to Yelena. This is the first time she has been talked to by Yelena since they first met. “Yeah?” There’s a sliver of nervousness in her voice. A sliver, that Yelena can hear.
“Do you want to train together to pass the time?”
“Uhm,” she doesn’t, “I guess so.”
“Great!” The grin on Yelena’s face is unmistakable. “Follow me,” they start walking towards the training room, “the compound has the best supplies to train anything and everything you want.”
Once they get into the training room, Yelena leads Y/N straight to the mat placed on the middle of the room. Y/N feels the mat under her feet, it’s soft enough to make landings bearable, but it won’t take the pain completely away.
“You were trained in hand to hand combat when you were at HYDRA, yes?”
Y/N’s face screws up at the mention of the organization she was saved from. “Yes.”
Yelena gets into position, her hands raised and feet apart. “Good, then this won’t be a problem for you.” Before Y/N has time to prepare herself, Yelena is already lunging at her.
With a blink of an eye, she is on the ground. Y/N groans, looking up at Yelena with a frown.
“Come on!” Yelena claps her hands together. “Up, up, you gotta be ready.”
Y/N takes a breath and stands up, this time getting into position before Yelena can fully surprise her.
They start sparring.
It’s more like fighting, at least on Yelena’s side.
Y/N is good at fighting, but Yelena is better. She is older, she is bigger, and she was in the Red Room for a long time.
She gets slammed to the mat two more times before she starts panting, her hands on her knees. “I think I’m done.” Her voice comes out as a mumble.
“Come on! Don’t be a party pooper.” Yelena circles around her. “One more round, this time like you mean it.”
Y/N doesn’t have time to disagree. She desperately fight back against Yelena’s onslaught of hits and kicks.
After five minutes, she gets dropped to the ground, again.
She lays there on the ground, her breathing heavy and laboured. But Yelena doesn’t seem to be finished. There’s a certain fire in her eyes as she brings her foot up. Fear runs through Y/N’s body as her wide eyes are stuck on the bottom of Yelena’s boot.
A loud crack echoes through the training room.
Y/N cries out, rolling to her side to hold her now broken arm against her chest. Yelena’s eyes widen, shocked by what she did, though the feeling goes away just as quick.
Unfortunately for her, an immense feeling of guilt fills her body when a loud “Yelena!” comes from the door. Natasha comes running in, instantly kneeling to Y/N’s side. “What the hell was going on in your head?” She practically growls out while lifting up her daughter, shushing her in a comforting manner when she lets out a cry of pain.
Yelena opens her mouth to speak, though she doesn’t know what she could even say, but a harsh glare from Natasha shuts her up. She stays in the training room while Natasha and Y/N leave to the medical room.
After three excruciatingly long hours of pacing in her room, a knock on the door finally breaks the silence. Yelena opens the door, instantly stepping to the side to let Natasha walk inside.
“What were you thinking?” Natasha’s arms are crossed over her chest as she stares at her sister with an icy glare. “She’ll be okay, thank god for that, but she has a broken arm, Yelena.”
“I’m sorry.” She whispers.
Natasha shakes her head. “Sorry isn’t going to cut it now. You’ve been incredibly cold to her, and I chalked it up to nerves, but this,” her brows are raised as she gestures around, “this is unacceptable. She’s my daughter, Yelena. I can’t have you around her if you’re going to hurt her.”
“I won’t!” Her eyes are turning misty from tears and her voice wavers. “I- I don’t know what came over me. I was feeling…jealous…and, and insecure.”
“Why?”
Yelena tugs at the skin on her fingers, at times pressing her nails against her palm as her eyes drop to the ground. “I was scared you’d love me less.” A few tears fall down her cheeks at the confession.
A deep sigh leaves Natasha’s mouth. She rubs the space between her brows. “I love you, Yelena, I would never love you less. But I also have so much love for Y/N, she is my daughter.” There’s no anger in her tone anymore, but there’s a certain steadiness to make sure Yelena fully hears her. “I love both of you so, so much.”
Yelena nods. “I’m sorry.”
“You need to apologize to her.” Natasha mumbles, combing her fingers through her hair. “I’m really upset right now, so I’m going to leave.”
“I’ll make it up, okay?”
Natasha opens the door. “Make it up by treating my daughter well, be genuinely nice to her. You hear me? She is my daughter, that means she is your family too.”
“She’s my niece.” Yelena whispers with a nod, fully absorbing the words. She hurt her niece.
After Natasha leaves and Yelena has a minute to gather herself, she makes her way to the infirmary.
She knocks on the door gently, opening it after she hears a quiet come in. Yelena steps inside. “Hey.”
Y/N lifts her head. “Hi.” She scratches the cast on her arm, her eyes anywhere else but Yelena.
Clearing her throat, she takes a few careful steps inside, stopping beside the hospital bed. “I’m sorry. I’m really sorry, truly.” She whispers, her eyes on Y/N. “I was an asshole, an insecure and jealous asshole, who was scared that her sister would love me less because she got a daughter.” She lets out a butter laugh. “Which was very stupid of me, because I know Natasha isn’t like that.”
“She’s pretty great.” Y/N whispers.
“She is.” Yelena sits on the chair next to the bed. “She is my sister and you are her daughter, which makes you my niece. And…I’ve always wanted a niece, even though it might not be obvious from the way I’ve acted. I want to be what Natasha was to me for someone, except a little more fun, you know? I’d let you break the rules and drink a little bit and I’d teach you how to run away from the cops.”
Y/N giggles softly, glancing at Yelena every so often, but never looking at her for too long.
“Could we start over, maybe? I could be the aunt that you deserve.” There’s a silence as Y/N stares at the cast while biting the inside of her cheek. “You don’t have to be scared of me.” Yelena whispers. “Which I know is a stupid thing to say after I-“ she glances at the cast, “after I broke your arm.”
“Yeah.” She lets out a shaky breath. “I’m a little scared of you, but I’d like to have an aunt.” Y/N raises her head, giving Yelena a small smile.
Yelena smiles back, wider than ever. She inches closer to the edge of the seat, gently setting her hand on Y/N’s healthy hand. “I will make it up to you, I promise. I’ll spoil you so much.” She grins, already excited with the idea of buying things to her niece.
“Okay.” She laughs, already feeling better despite her broken arm.

You had never been a morning person. Never was and never would be. The only person that could possibly get you out of bed was Yelena. On this day in particular, not even she could pull you out of bed.
You had an exciting night out several hours prior and did not find yourself crawling into bed until the wee hours of the morning. Yelena had been gone on a mission for the past couple days so you assumed she wouldn’t be back for a while. You were surprisingly mistaken.
The sun was shining bright and hot along your bare back, an indication that it was late morning or early afternoon. You felt hands tugging at you, pulling you out of a deep sleep.
“Come on,” a voice whined. “Why won’t you get up!” You groaned in response and tried to turn over the opposite way.
“Pleaseee,” Yelena begged. “I haven’t seen you in forever… well more like two days but still.”
She tugged and pulled but you wouldn’t budge. The more she messed with you the more your body was revealed from under the sheets. Yelena intensely observed you laying on your stomach, taking in each detail such as your messy hair and sunlit skin.
An idea popped into Yelena's head that might get you out of bed, or at least to gain consciousness and join the world again.
“Y/n,” she said in a singing voice, “time to wake up.”
Yelena came down closer to your body and whispered in your ear. “Wake up or else I’m going to do it for you.”
You inhaled and exhaled deeply and sighed. You weren’t quite awake enough to move but you had gained enough consciousness to hear Yelena now. You were now more interested in where she was heading with this.
Yelena took her jacket off until she was left in a white tank top and pants. Gently she climbed on the bed and straddled your mid section.
She ran her short nails down your back, leaving red streaks in their place. The slight pain caused you to shift a little in your place. Definitely not enough to wake you up, so Yelena continued.
Her lips then made contact with your skin. She left several kisses up and down your spine, then traveled over to other soft places to call her own.
She latched onto a soft spot near your shoulder blade and sucked. She left dark purple and red spots all over your back. By this point, you were waking up. You started to feel the result of Yelena’s pleasure growing as you slowly woke up.
Despite all of Yelena’s efforts, you still did not budge. This wasn’t necessarily because you were asleep, this now turned into a game for you to see what all Yelena would do to you. There had always been a part of you that wanted to test out the water in this department and you felt like now was the perfect time.
You couldn’t tell her how desperately you wanted her because you wanted her to show how bad she wanted you. You loved when Yelena showed how much she needed every square inch of you. So, you decided to watch it play out.
Touching all over your skin did not seem to suit her just yet, so she decided to move to more sensitive parts of you to try and do the trick.
Yelena pulled down the sheet that was covering your hips and legs. You were in your usual position of slumber where you laid on your stomach with one of your legs bent to the side of you. This gave Yelena the perfect view of what she wanted most.
“Fuck,” she whispered under her breath. “I’ve missed you.”
She gripped onto your hips, squeezing them out of desperation. There was nothing more that she wanted to do than show you who you belonged to.
Yelena backed up on the bed and sat between your legs while observing your quiet frame. There was something so erotic about seeing you completely at her mercy, even if Yelena didn’t know you were enjoying every second of her touch.
“Your pretty pussy is so wet for me,” Yelena whispered before eagerly touching you where she wanted most.
She separated your folds like the pages of a book with her fingers, so gently taking in how wet she had already made you. Her fingers made quick work of circling your clit in a slow rhythm that made you silently beg for more.
All she wanted was for you to respond to her pleads of desire. The more that Yelena touched you the more aroused you become, moving your hips slightly as a form of relief.
Yelena smiled. “There’s my girl, good job.”
She kept going at the same pace. You knew Yelena well enough that this meant she was only beginning. If she had sped up then you knew that she just wanted to have all the fun with your pussy until you came however many times pleased her.
You moaned lazily and shifted in your position. “I know you’re waking up, sweet girl,” Yelena said. “I want you closer to me. I need to taste you.”
Yelena grabbed onto your hips firmly and pulled you up. You whined in protest as you were being moved.
“Don’t whine, you know you want it,” she said. “Let me play with you more baby.”
You were now propped up on your knees while your front section arched against the bed, leaving you in a doggy type position.
It didn’t take Yelena long to touch you again. Her hands were placed on your ass while her mouth latched onto your clit, causing you to whine.
“What is it? Is my girl starting to wake up?”
You were awake long ago and now you were enjoying everything that Yelena was doing. You hadn’t realized how much you missed her until your body reacted in such ways you didn’t know.
“Keep going baby, Daddy wants to hear you.”
Her tongue flattened out and ran up and down your cunt so perfectly. Just the thought of watching Yelena torture you was enough as it was.
You moaned long and desperately at her effect on you. You couldn’t help but move your hips for any kind of additional touch you could get.
“My poor needy girl,” Yelena tutted. “I see you moving your hips so good for me.”
You whined as Yelena moved her tongue around your pussy, exploring each part and savoring every taste. Her tongue poked at your entrance and you moved your hips back towards her abruptly.
You had waited around long enough, which is why you decided to finally speak up. “More,” you said, which was muffled by the bed.
“What was that?” she said. “I need you to be louder for me.”
“More,” you whined.
“You want more, sweet girl?”
“Please,” you begged, no longer caring if you were being desperate. All you wanted was more of her everywhere.
“I think I can do that for you… wait here, love.”
Yelena left the room for a couple minutes while you waited on the bed. You had turned your head towards the door so you could see her coming. When she came back, she had shed her pants in the process in exchange for the spandex harness with your favorite attachment waiting for you. Yelena’s short hair was messy and you could see her hardened nipples through her shirt, making you release a small string of profanities.
She came back just as she started; creeping over you with her mouth dragging down your spine while you readjusted to sit up on your elbows.
“Good morning,” Yelena whispered in your ear. “I hope I didn’t disturb you too much.”
“Not a bit,” you whispered back.
As Yelena nibbled back down on your back, you could feel her strap brushing occasionally against your pussy. Each time it made contact, you wanted to scream with pleasure but you held your tongue until it was appropriate. You didn’t want Yelena to have too much fun.
“You’re so fucking hot, you know that?” Yelena’s warm breath like fire against your skin. “I couldn’t wait to come home and fuck you like this. That's all I could think about.”
Yelena’s words of desire made yours grow exponentially, if that was even possible. Your hips practically exposed your own desire for Yelena, moving more every minute that she teased you.
“You’ve waited so good, angel. Do you want me?” she asked. All she wanted was to get a rise out of you, which was working.
“I want you so bad, please baby,” you begged. Though it was usually below you on regular occasion, begging seemed to fit in with your pathetic state at the moment.
Without another word, Yelena used your hips as a guide and slid her strap into you. It was a flood of arousal that greeted you now, eliciting a string of gasps and moans.
“Fuck, detka,” Yelena whined. You never understood how Yelena’s mother language turned you on so much.
Yelena’s hips moved against you, ricocheting your own hips back into hers. You were overcome by her touch as a result of all of the fun she was having.
“Please keep going,” you whined, moving your hips frantically to enhance your experience. As you moved them, Yelena’s hand spanked the side of your ass, causing you to wince.
“You let me do all the work, baby girl,” she said. “You just sit back and let me play with you.”
The bedroom now echoed of skin on skin contact and your horny pleads. Yelena knew how to bring out the best in you and the most lustful version of you.
Yelena’s hand traveled up your back and snaked to your chest where she leaned down far enough to take your nipple between her fingers. She rolled and pulled on your sensitive nipple which increased your high, arousal pooling around the strap buried deep inside you.
You were getting closer by the second and Yelena could tell. It was obvious in the way that your movements became more rigid and choppy, barely able to form fluid motion.
“Mm, does my poor girl want to cum?” Yelena taunted you and you nodded in reply, barely able to form a clear thought. “I can’t hear you.”
“Yes,” you managed to choke out. “Please, Lena. I wanna cum so bad, let me cum please.”
To finish you off, Yelena’s hand moved in between your legs while still moving her strap in and out of your pussy roughly. Her fingers made contact with your now swollen clit in order to make you unfold beneath her. It didn't take long between Yelena’s whispering orders to you, her relentless strap, and her fast pace fingers.
She had a hard time wanting to stop. She was having way too much fun having her way with you that she found herself stuck in a trance. Her fingers still on your perfect pussy made your body twitch and convulse. You finally pried her fingers away after taking all you could.
You fell into a heap on the bed, your body like jelly. Yelena kissed you more gently this time, almost as an apology for the overstimulation she might’ve caused, even if you loved every second.
“Are you alright?” Yelena asked. Your chest was rising and falling quickly as you tried to catch your breath, but you managed to slightly speak to Yelena with a giggle.
“I’m up.”

The Assassin and The Sunshine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You and Yelena were the most least-likely pair, or atleast that's what the avengers (Minus Natasha and Wanda) thought. So what happens when they see how the blonde acts when you get hurt
Warnings: Gunshots, medical stuff (minorly). Angry Yelena
----
Yelena Belova, with her steely gaze and lethal precision, was the epitome of intimidation among her peers. Her reputation as a formidable assassin preceded her, casting a shadow of fear wherever she went. With every calculated move and icy demeanor, she commanded respect and evoked a sense of unease among those around her. She was a force to be reckoned with, leaving a trail of apprehension in her wake.
And then there was you, Y/n Y/L/n. With a personality as bright as the sun and a heart as pure as gold, Y/n brought warmth and positivity to every situation. Her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness had a way of melting even the coldest of hearts, earning them the affectionate nickname of "the team's golden retriever."
Your gentle nature stood in stark contrast to Yelena's, and yet, somehow, the two of you had found a connection that defied explanation.
It wasn't easy, navigating a relationship with someone as closed-off as Yelena. She was slow to trust, and her walls were fortified with layers of steel. But you were patient, willing to chip away at those barriers bit by bit until you reached the heart of who she truly was.
The rest of the team couldn't understand it. They saw Yelena as an enigma, a formidable presence to be feared and respected. They couldn't fathom what you saw in her, why you would choose to be with someone so different from yourself.
"It's just... I don't get it," Tony remarked, glancing over at Yelena and you conversing in the corner of the room. "What's the deal with those two? Yelena's like a walking arsenal, and Y/n's... well, Y/n."
Steve nodded in agreement, his gaze following yours and Yelena's interaction. "I know what you mean, Tony. It's hard to imagine what they see in each other. They're like night and day."
Clint, who had been listening in on the conversation, chimed in with her own thoughts.
"Exactly! I still can't wrap my head around it," Clint admitted, scratching his head in confusion. "Yelena and Y/n... they're just so different from each other."
Bruce chuckled softly, glancing towards where you and Yelena were sitting. "Love is a strange thing, Clint. It's not always logical. Maybe Y/n sees something in Yelena that we don't."
Clint sighed, shaking his head. "I guess you're right. I just hope they know what they're doing."
--
It was a cold autumn day, and you found yourself on another mission alongside Natasha Tony, Steve, and Clint. The tension hung heavy in the air as the team moved with practiced precision through the dimly lit corridors of the enemy's stronghold.
The mission had been intense from the start, nearly dodging attacks at almost all turns, but as you ventured deeper into the heart of the HYDRA base, the atmosphere grew even more charged. Every step felt like a potential trap, every shadow a potential threat.
Suddenly, chaos erupted. Gunfire erupted from unseen assailants, and you found yourself instinctively stepping in front of Clint, shielding him from the onslaught. The impact was immediate, a searing pain lancing through your side as the bullets found their mark.
"Y/n!" Natasha's voice was a mix of alarm and concern as she rushed to your side, her expression tight with worry.
Clint knelt beside you, his hands hovering uncertainly over your injured form. "Y/n, are you okay?"
You managed a weak nod, gritting your teeth against the pain as Natasha and Tony quickly moved to assess your injuries.
"We need to get her out of here," Natasha declared, her voice firm as she glanced around the chaotic scene.
Steve's voice crackled over the comms. "Quinjet's on its way. Hold tight, we'll get you out of there."
As you were carefully lifted onto a stretcher, the team worked quickly to stabilize you. Despite the pain, you managed a weak smile, reassured by their presence.
"We've got you, Y/n," Tony said, his tone determined as he helped load you onto the Quinjet.
Clint squeezed your hand gently, his expression filled with worry. "Hang in there, okay? We'll get you patched up in no time."
You nodded weakly, feeling a surge of gratitude for your friends. As the Quinjet engines roared to life and the aircraft lifted off, you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over you, knowing that even in the midst of danger, you had your closest friends by your side.
----
As the Quinjet touched down back at the base, the team wasted no time in transferring you to the medbay. Before Yelena could arrive, the medical team swiftly brought you into the operating room, shielding you from her sight.
Moments later, the door burst open again, and Yelena stormed in, her expression a mask of fury. Kate Bishop, who happened to be sparring with her when FRIDAY had informed Yelena of the news, was right beside her, offering silent support.
"Where is she?" Yelena demanded, her voice a dangerous growl, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of you.
Natasha stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "Yelena, they've taken her into surgery. They're doing everything they can for her."
The blonde's tension only seemed to escalate at Natasha's words. "They better be taking care of her!" she barked, her tone sharp and threatening.
Tony and Steve exchanged uneasy glances as Yelena's fury filled the room. They shuffled awkwardly, intimidated by the practically burning blonde.
Yelena turned her rage on them, her eyes blazing with fury. "This is all your fault!" she accused, her voice cutting like a knife. "If anything happens to her, I'll make sure you all pay!"
Steve, ever the voice of reason, tried to reason with Yelena. "Yelena, we understand your concern, but right now our priority is getting her the help she needs."
Yelena's eyes flashed with fury. "Your priority should have been keeping her safe in the first place!" she shot back, her voice sharp with accusation, her Russian accent adding an extra edge to her words.
Tony, normally quick-witted, found himself at a loss for words in the face of Yelena's anger. "We did everything we could," he insisted, his tone defensive.
Clint, usually unflappable, shifted uncomfortably under Yelena's intense gaze. "Yelena, we're all worried about her. But yelling at us isn't going to help," he reasoned, trying to diffuse the tension.
But Yelena's rage was unyielding. "You think I care about your excuses?" she spat, her voice dripping with disdain. "All that matters to me is her. And if anything happens to her because of you…"
Natasha exchanged a knowing glance with Kate, silently acknowledging that it was time to intervene and calm Yelena down before her fury escalated further.
"Yelena," Natasha spoke softly but firmly, stepping closer to her friend, "I know you're scared. But yelling at them won't help Y/n."
Kate nodded in agreement, placing a gentle hand on Yelena's arm. "We're all worried about her," she added, her voice calm and reassuring. "But right now, we need to trust that Dr. Cho and Bruce knows what they're doing."
Yelena's anger seemed to waver for a moment as she looked between Natasha and Kate, her resolve beginning to soften.
Natasha continued, her voice gentle yet persuasive. "Y/n needs us to be strong for her right now. She needs you to be strong."
Kate nodded in agreement. "We're all in this together, Lena. We'll get through this, but we need to stay calm and focused."
Yelena's shoulders tensed, but gradually, the fire in her eyes began to dim as she took a deep breath, her anger giving way to concern for you. "I just want her to be okay," she admitted, her voice softer now, tinged with worry.
Natasha squeezed Yelena's hand reassuringly. "We all do," she said, her voice filled with empathy. "And Helen and Bruce will do everything we can to make sure she is."
As the tension in the room began to ease, Yelena nodded in silent agreement, her gaze lingering on the closed doors of the operating room where you lay.
Natasha gestured towards a nearby chair, silently inviting Yelena to sit beside her. Yelena hesitated for a moment before finally sinking into the seat, her body trembling with emotion.
Natasha wrapped an arm around her sister's shoulders, offering a comforting embrace. "It's going to be okay, Lena," she murmured, her voice soft and soothing.
Yelena leaned into Natasha's embrace, her walls crumbling as tears streamed down her cheeks. She buried her face against Natasha's shoulder, her sobs muffled against the fabric of her sister's uniform.
The other Avengers watched the scene unfold with a mixture of surprise and understanding, their eyes widening as they witnessed a side of Yelena they had never seen before.
Tony exchanged a glance with Steve, his eyebrows raised in disbelief. "Well, I'll be damned," he muttered under his breath, a hint of admiration in his voice.
"She's stable"
---
The steady beeping of the monitors filled the room as you blinked away the fog of anesthesia, your senses gradually coming back to you.
As your eyes fluttered open, you were met with the sight of Yelena sitting beside you, her expression soft and full of concern. "Hey," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper as you reached out to her.
Yelena's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of you awake, but she quickly composed herself, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she took your hand in hers. "Hey," she replied, her voice gentle and full of warmth.
Relief flooded through you as you squeezed her hand, grateful for her presence by your side. But, as you squeezed Yelena's hand, a wave of concern washed over you when you noticed the tears welling up in her eyes. "Lena, what's wrong?" you asked, your voice filled with worry as you reached out to gently cup her face with your hand.
Yelena's lower lip trembled slightly as she tried to compose herself, but the floodgates had opened, and tears began to trickle down her cheeks. "I was so scared," she admitted softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I thought... I thought I might lose you."
You pulled her into a gentle embrace, holding her close as she cried softly against your chest, which hadn't be affected much, and was already fixing up thanks to Bruce's cell regenerator.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm right here," you whispered softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Yelena leaned into your embrace, her tears gradually subsiding as she took comfort in your presence. "I was so scared," she admitted again, her voice trembling slightly.
You brushed a strand of hair away from her face, offering her a small smile. "I know, Lena. But I'm okay now. You're the one who's always saving me, even when you're not anywhere near me," you said sincerely, squeezing her hand reassuringly.
Yelena's lips twitched slightly, a hint of amusement flickering in her eyes. "Yeah, well, don't expect me to always save you," she teased lightly, a small chuckle escaping her lips, as she resorted to her usual coping method of humour.
You grinned, feeling a surge of affection for the woman in your arms. "Oh, come on, Lena. You love playing the hero," you teased right back, trying to lighten the mood.
A genuine smile spread across Yelena's face for the first time since you'd woken up. "I kinda do" she chuckled, shrugging nonchalantly, before the both of you started laughing.
But as the laughter faded, a heaviness settled in the air once again. Yelena's eyes clouded with sadness, the weight of the situation crashing down on her once more.
You reached out, cupping her face in your hands. "Hey, Lena. It's okay to be scared," you said softly, your voice filled with empathy. "But we're together now. And we'll get through this, I promise."
As the Avengers stood at the door, watching the unexpected tenderness between you and Yelena, they exchanged surprised glances.
Tony raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with disbelief. " The White widow is a softie after all, what would you know?"
Steve nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Seems like we all jumped to conclusions too quickly."
Bucky, who had been silently observing, chimed in. " I guess, they are perfect for each other hm"
Clint chuckled, shaking his head in amazement. "Never thought I'd see the day when Yelena Belova was making someone laugh."
As they listened to the laughter emanating from the room, as you and Yelena continue to make each other laugh, the Avengers couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for the unexpected bond between you and Yelena. It was a reminder that sometimes, people were more than their tough exteriors.

You stretch your arms out, admiring the finished decorations, from fake spider webs to carved pumpkins. Halloween wasn’t really your thing, but Yelena had insisted on getting into the spooky spirit. The apartment now looks like a haunted house met an explosion of glitter and pumpkins.
“Wow, so you really don´t celebrate it?” Yelena looks at you with a raised eyebrow, smirking slightly as she gestures to the over-the-top decorations.
You shrug, grinning. "Okay, fine... I do like all the decorating stuff and just watching horror movies, even though I’m terrified later.” You chuckle at the admission. “And the candy!”
“Oh, how could I forget about your sweet tooth, (Y/N).” She rolls her eyes playfully, but there’s that soft smile on her face you know too well.
You nudge her lightly, the two of you settling onto the couch as the spooky ambiance takes over the room. Yelena grabs the remote, scrolling through the horror movie options. You try to look brave, but she catches the nervous flicker in your eyes.
“You’re already scared,” she teases, leaning closer. “I haven’t even pressed play yet.”
“I’m fine!” you insist, although your hand grips the throw pillow a little tighter.
Yelena gives you that mischievous grin, the one that means she’s up to something. “Let’s make sure you don’t get too terrified then,” she whispers, her hand slowly making its way to your thigh, fingers ghosting over your skin in a way that immediately sends shivers up your spine.
“Yelena…” you mutter, trying to sound stern, but it comes out more like a nervous laugh. “This isn’t helping.”
“Oh, I think it will help a lot,” she quips, a glint of playful wickedness in her eyes as her fingers inch higher, teasing at first, and then more persistent. You squirm under her touch, trying to focus on the movie, but it's impossible with Yelena's attention on you.
“See, if you’re distracted, you won’t be scared at all.”
You laugh, shaking your head, but she doesn’t stop. Yelena’s touch grows more intense, playful in how she knows exactly what buttons to push. Each brush of her hand makes you shift and squirm, your breath hitching in your throat as she grins wider, clearly enjoying the effect she’s having on you.
“Yelena!” You gasp, trying to keep your voice steady, but failing miserably. The movie is long forgotten, the scary music in the background drowned out by the rapid thumping of your heart.
“See, much better than horror movies, huh?” She teases, her fingers never letting up, and you're caught between laughing and sighing, between trying to stop her and secretly wanting her to keep going.
You’ve barely been able to pay attention with Yelena’s constant teasing. Her fingers still lightly trace over your thigh, just enough to make you squirm every few minutes. You keep swatting her hand away, but it’s no use, she’s enjoying this way too much.
Suddenly, the first jump scare hits, something pops out of the shadows on screen. You practically leap a foot in the air, letting out a yelp that’s immediately followed by Yelena’s loud, amused laughter.
“Wow, scared already, huh? We’re like five minutes in, detka,” she snickers, her hand now resting firmly on your thigh, keeping you anchored. “And here I thought you said you could handle it.”
You pout, trying to regain your composure, though your heart is still racing. “I wasn’t expecting it, okay?” you huff, crossing your arms. “I bet you’d jump too if you weren’t so busy being... well, you.”
“Me? Oh no, I don’t get scared,” she says, full of sass, leaning closer until her lips brush against your ear. “Besides, you’re way more fun to watch than the movie.”
Your cheeks flush as you try to ignore the way her breath against your skin makes your pulse race even more. Another creepy scene builds on the screen, but instead of being scared, all you can think about is Yelena’s fingers slowly trailing up your thigh again. She’s smirking, fully aware of how flustered she’s making you, and loving every second of it.
Then another jump scare comes, and this time, Yelena jumps slightly, letting out a small gasp. You whip your head toward her, a huge grin spreading across your face.
“Oh, really? Not scared, huh?” you tease, your voice dripping with sarcasm.
Yelena’s eyes narrow playfully, but there’s that mischievous sparkle in them. “That was… strategic. I was just trying to make you feel better,” she says, feigning seriousness. “Obviously.”
You laugh, knowing full well she got spooked for real, and it feels like a small victory. But before you can bask in your triumph, Yelena’s fingers move again, this time catching you off guard, and you gasp as her hand creeps higher.
“Oh, look who’s distracted now,” she quips, grinning wickedly as you squirm. “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from the big, scary monsters.” She leans in, pressing a quick kiss to your neck, sending a warm shiver down your spine.
“You’re the scary one!” you shoot back, your voice breathless as you try, and fail, to push her hand away again.
“Oh, detka,” Yelena purrs, her voice dripping with playful seduction, “you have no idea how scary I can be.”
You try to focus back on the movie, but Yelena’s hands are a constant distraction. Her fingers drum against your thigh, then drift upward, then back down...never quite crossing the line, but close enough to make you squirm in your seat.
“Yelena, I’m trying to watch the movie!” you protest half-heartedly, though the grin on your face betrays you. It’s impossible to be annoyed when she’s looking at you like that her beautiful eyes twinkling with mischief, a smirk pulling at her lips.
“Oh, are you now?” she purrs, completely unconvinced. Her hand slides just a little higher, fingers curling against your skin. “Because it looks to me like you’re very, very distracted.”
You roll your eyes, biting back a smile. “By a certain someone who can’t keep her hands to herself.”
“Guilty,” she grins, leaning in close. Her lips ghost over the shell of your ear, and you shiver despite yourself. “But can you really blame me? You’re just too cute when you’re all flustered.”
You can feel the heat creeping up your cheeks as Yelena chuckles against your skin, clearly enjoying every second of this. Her hand drifts up again, fingers tracing light circles just over your clothes, at a place you need her the most.
“Yelena!” you squeak, trying to keep your voice steady, but it’s useless. She knows exactly what she’s doing.
“Yes, printsess?” she asks innocently, her hand moving back down to your knee as if she’s done nothing wrong. “I’m just helping you relax. You seemed a little… tense.”
“Uh-huh, sure,” you huff, trying to sound annoyed, but you’re smiling too much for it to work. “You’re lucky I like you.”
Yelena laughs softly, her lips brushing against your neck in a way that sends a thrill down your spine. “Oh, I know you do,” she whispers, her voice low and teasing. “And lucky for you, I like you too. A lot.”
Before you can respond, there’s another jump scare, and you jolt in your seat again, letting out a startled yelp. Yelena bursts out laughing, practically cackling at your reaction.
“You’re too easy!” she giggles, her hand moving to cup your cheek, turning your face toward hers. “So scared, even though I’m right here to protect you.”
“You’re the one scaring me!” you laugh, pushing her lightly on the shoulder, though she doesn’t budge.
“Hmm, maybe,” she admits, her smirk widening. “But you love it, don’t you? Admit it.”
You groan, rolling your eyes but unable to deny the truth. “Fine, maybe I do.”
Yelena leans in closer, “that’s what I thought,” she murmurs, before closing the gap and kissing you softly, just for a moment, just enough to leave you breathless.
But before she gives you another chance to concentrate on the movie, Yelena's hand slips under your sweater, her fingers grazing the soft skin of your waist. You shiver, not from the cold, but from the unexpected warmth of her touch.
“Yelena!” you try to protest, though your voice comes out more as a moan than anything else. You look over at her.
“What? I’m cold,” she pouts dramatically, even though you can feel the heat radiating from her. Her hand presses gently against your skin, her fingers tracing playful circles along your side, slowly back to your core.
“You’re unbelievable,” you whisper, biting back another smile.
“You love it,” she teases, her voice soft but full of confidence, leaning in closer until her nose brushes against yours. Her hand finding it´s way past your panties to play with your clit. “Admit it, detka. You like when I keep you on your toes.”
You roll your eyes, trying to act unimpressed, but the way she’s touching you, like she’s daring you to deny it, makes your heart skip a beat. “Maybe I do,” you admit, your voice barely above a whisper.
Yelena grins, clearly pleased with herself. “See? I knew it,” she whispers, her fingers moving just a little faster,"you like this too, huh?”
“Stop it! I’m trying to watch the movie.” You moan out loud.. too loud.
“Oh, sure you are,” Yelena chuckles, "then watch and let me play." Her fingers enter you, which makes you forgot about the movie completly. You close your eyes, feeling how close you are.
Everything feels like a blur, a dizzying mix of warmth and touch that leaves you breathless. Yelena’s hands, so sure and teasing, are everywhere and nowhere all at once. "Let go, my princess."
You’re trying to keep up, to catch your breath, but the way her fingers move inside you, slow, then fast, then slow again, leaves you dizzy, spiraling into a haze where time no longer feels real. Your mind swims, too wrapped up in the way she’s unraveling you, again and again, each wave of sensation building on the last until you're not even sure where one ends and the next begins.
“So easy,” she whispers against your skin, her voice like velvet, thick with satisfaction. “You fall apart for me so easily, don’t you?”
You can only manage a nod, the heat pooling in your core making it impossible to form words. Everything is too much, too intense, yet somehow, not enough. You crave more, and Yelena knows it. She always knows exactly how to keep you on the edge, how to make every touch feel like fire, like a promise you can’t quite grasp but desperately want to.
Her lips ghost over your neck, her breath warm and teasing as she leans in closer, pressing you deeper into the cushions. “You can take more, printsess,” she murmurs softly, “I know you can.”
The world around you fades, your senses narrowing down to the feel of her, the weight of her body against yours, the way her hands guide you through each wave of pleasure with ease. Every time you think you’ve reached the peak, she pulls you back up, pushing you further, until the sensations melt together into a dizzy haze of warmth and heat, a bundle of everything all at once.
Yelena’s touch is relentless, but not in a way that feels overwhelming - just enough to remind you who’s in control. She loves this, you can tell. The way her lips curve into a knowing smile every time you shudder beneath her, the way she hums in satisfaction as she watches you unravel again and again.
“You look so pretty like this,” she murmurs, her lips brushing your ear as her hands continue their unrelenting exploration. You can barely keep up with her, lost in the overwhelming sensation of it all, the warmth spreading through your limbs like liquid fire. “So so so pretty, just for me.”
Your mind is a blur of heat and sensation, everything blending together into one hazy, overwhelming feeling. You can feel yourself trembling, caught in the never-ending spiral of her touch, her voice, her presence. Each time you think you’ve reached the end, she pulls you back, only to push you further, until all you can do is surrender to the dizzying haze of warmth and pleasure she wraps you in.
Thank you for reading this! any feedback is really appraciated!

Misconceptions | Yelena Belova
Tumblr media
Pairing: Popular College Student!Yelena Belova x Quiet!Reader
Summary: The most popular girl in school is showing interest in you, the quiet girl. What will happen when you don't realize she's actually interested in you and not just wants you to do her homework? [Full request]
Masterlist | Marvel masterlist | Words: 1.5k
At school you were known as the quiet girl, or sometimes even the loner. You didn’t have any friends at college and made no effort to get to know people. For you there was a reason behind your choices, to others it just seemed like you were weird. You studied alone, you had lunch alone, you didn’t hang out with people, it was just you.
During lunch you felt watched, the feeling was nothing new. People tend to enjoy making fun of the outcasts. When you searched through the crowd to see who it was, you found Yelena Belova’s eyes looking back at you. Yelena was one of the most popular girls in the school, currently sitting with the rest of her popular friends at a lunch table across the cafeteria. She didn’t even look away when the two of you made eye contact, while her friends were laughing. In annoyance you roll your eyes, pack your stuff and head to your next class.
*Meanwhile at Yelena's table*
"What's wrong with you guys? She's just a person." Yelena says, annoyed with her friend's reaction to her interest in wanting to get to know you. "Yeah, a weird person." Josh answers, gaining him cheers and high fives from his friends. "Grow up." Yelena says while she packs her stuff and goes after you. She finds you in the hallway looking at your phone. "Hey, y/n." She says approaching you. You look up from your phone but don't greet her back. Yelena continues on, nonetheless. "I'm sorry about my friends." You shrug, you were used to it by now. "Hey, I was wondering if you would-" You cut her off before she could finish. "I'm not interested in doing your homework." You tell her and walk off. Yelena stands there dumbfounded, is that really how people treated you? All she wanted to do was invite you to a party next week. You went on with the rest of your classes, and continued your day. After your last class you went back to your dorm, turned your gaming device on and plopped down on your bed. Finally, you could relax and not have to worry about people watching your every move.
A few days pass without any major interactions with ignorant people. Until Thursday afternoon, you had just grabbed your books and notes for your next class from your locker and were walking in the hallway on your way to your next class. You didn't think it was necessary to put all the stuff you just grabbed in your bag, since you'd have to take it out in just a couple minutes anyways, so you carried the books and your folder full of notes in your arms. You slow down when you see Chris standing right in front of you. Chris was the quarterback for the school's football team. He was tall. He was strong. He was intentionally blocking your path. You took a deep breath before you said, "Excuse me, can I pass?" He laughs, "I don't think so." There was not much you could do physically to get past him, so your only option was to ask again, as there was no other hallway that led to the classroom that you needed to go to. "Come on, just let me through, please." All he did in response was knock your books and folder out of your hands, your notes flew out of the folder and scattered across the floor.
Before you could say anything else you heard a voice from behind you. "Chris, what is wrong with you? This is not how you treat people." Yelena walks past you and stands in front of Chris. "I do not want to see you near y/n ever again, do you understand?" Chris nods, he suddenly seemed small, like he was scared of Yelena, who was like a foot smaller than him. "Good, now scram." She says sternly. Her stern voice and angry face instantly soften when she turns around and looks at you. "I'm sorry, something like that won't happen again, I promise." She kneels down and starts gathering your papers, you join her and put everything back in the folder. "Why are you being nice to me?" You ask when she hands you the pile that she gathered. "Why wouldn’t I?" Yelena shrugs. “People tend to not be nice to me, as you’ve just witnessed. It’s not really the norm for people like me. People tend to only be nice to me when they want something from me. You know, like you did the other day.”
“I didn’t want anything from you, I just wanted to invite you to a party. I’m sorry people are so horrible.” - “You want to invite me to a party, which will most likely consist of people who are horrible to me?” Yelena looks down at her feet, “Yeah, I didn’t really think that one through.. I thought it would be fun to hang out outside of school and get to know each other.” You’re finding it hard to believe that the most popular girl in the school wants to hang out with you, so you push. “What would your friends think when they see you hanging out with me?” Yelena is quick to respond, “I don’t care what they think. If they were to have a problem with it, which in my mind is totally unreasonable, that’s on them and they should grow up.” Hearing her say that, plus her standing up to you was starting to make you feel like she might actually be interested in getting to know you. You could just see where it would take you right? “Okay, we can hang out, but I’m not going to that party. Maybe we could go to an arcade or something?” Yelena smiles, “Yes, that sounds great.”
You walk to your next class together, now definitely late. Yelena told you not to worry about it and follow her lead. She opens the classdoor and you both walk in. Yelena walks up to the professor and whispers, “I’m sorry Sir, there was a little time of the month issue, if you know what I mean.” He nods, “Take a seat.” The two of you find an empty set of tables at the end of the classroom and sit down next to each other. You worked together on the assignment of the class, and already you started to realize more and more that Yelena didn’t want anything more than to get to know you. You were laughing and making jokes about the assignment together. At the end of the class Yelena writes down her number in your notes. “Text me so we can make plans.” She hands you back the paper and is out the door. You look after her with a smile on your face.
When you get home from school, you grab your notes and add Yelena’s contact. You sent her a message right away.
You: Hey Yelena, it’s y/n. Did you still want to go to the arcades?
Yelena: Yes, of course! Do you have plans tonight?
You: No, not really.
Yelena: Great, can I pick you up at 8pm?
You: Yeah, sounds good :)
You sent her your address before you get started on your homework. Your mom calls you downstairs for dinner, you sit down at the table and tell her about your plans tonight. She’s both excited and nervous, but she tells you to have fun before she leaves for her night shift. Soon after you changed into a different outfit, you heard the doorbell ring. Yelena stood on the other side of the door with a big smile, “I’m sorry, I know I’m a bit early, I was just very excited for tonight. I can wait if you’re not ready yet.” Her eagerness calms your nerves. “I’m ready, let’s go.” You smile and walk to her car. At the arcade you played games the whole evening, you were better at aiming games and she was better at speed games. You had so much fun, you can’t remember when the last time was that you had laughed this much. At the end of the evening you traded in all your tickets for prizes. You got some snacks for the way back from your tickets, while Yelena got the biggest teddy bear that her tickets could buy. She hands the teddy bear to you, “Here, this is for you.” She says with a nervous smile. You take the bear and hold it tight. “Thank you, I love it.” Yelena grabs your hand and leads you back to her car. The moment her hand touched your, your heart skipped a beat.
Yelena drives you back home and walks you up to your door. “I had a lot of fun tonight.” Yelena shares. “Me too, maybe we can do it again sometime?” You look up at her with hopeful eyes. “Yes, I would love to.” She takes a step closer to you and kisses your cheek. “I’ll text you when I get home safely.” You stand on the porch watching her leave. How on earth was all of this happening?
Yelena: I made it. Have a good night x
You: Good night x

No Powers AU (Female Reader X Yelena Belova)
Summary: You and your roommate, Yelena Belova, invite some friends over for Mario Party; however, Yelena has no idea about your feelings for her.
Word Count: 4K
Content: Feelings, Crushes, Mario Party, Friendship, Comfort/Hurt
Tumblr media
Your roommate, Yelena Belova, was one of a kind.
Truly, you had never meant anyone like her. From the way she talked to how she made babies cry with one look. Or how the one thing she knew how to cook was Mac and Cheese.
You knew there would never be anyone else like her.
Which is maybe why you started to feel different around here... what began as two strangers needing a place to live slowly morphed into something else.
At least for you.
Yelena's asexual identification didn't make it impossible for her to find someone she could share a life with. It was just that you had never seen her with anyone since knowing her. So, IF Yelena were attracted to you, you would have no idea.
Regardless, your tiny crush was making itself known tonight as you waited for a few friends to come over. It was Saturday night, and after a shit week at work, you, Yelena, and your friends decided to have an impromptu game night.
"So what is it?" Yelena asked you again as you set an assortment of snacks on the hardwood coffee table. "It's called Mario Party. Each person chooses a character, and then you hit dice, play minigames, get coins, and you have to purchase stars." You looked up from the candies and savory snacks to a confused-looking blonde. "Whoever has the most wins." You said.
"Is it easy?" She asked after staring at you. You shrugged. "It can be a little challenging sometimes." Yelena hummed. "So it's not like that animal island game?" She asked with her eyes precious and wide.
A fluttering was happening in your stomach.
You cleared your throat with a smile. "No, Lena, it's not like Animal Crossing." Yelena pouted. She loved Animal Crossing no matter how much she hated Tom Crook, as she called him. Yelena opened her mouth to ask if the two of you could practice a round of this Mario Party, but a knock on the apartment door followed by its slowly opening stopped her.
"I got pizza!" Kate Bishop yelled as she entered through the small hallway. You walked past Yelena after your eyes fell to her lips without noticing. She was too busy looking at the game icon on the switch home screen. "You didn't bring Lucky?" You asked as you took the pizza boxes from your childhood friend.
Kate shook her head. "Figured it might get hectic." You nodded to her reasoning. Kate had followed you into the kitchen as you set the pizzas down. Pulling out some plates and dipping sauces.
Ranch and hot sauce for you and Yelena.
You turned around to find your friend eyeing Yelena. You looked between the two and raised an eyebrow to yourself.
"So..." You started pulling Kate's attention to you. You could see Yelena grab her special Joy-Con from the corner of your eye.
It was just the plain blue one, but she loved it.
Yelena clicked on the game as she pulled up a Let's Play on her phone of the game. You hide a laugh.
"How's your mom and her new man." Kate rolled her eyes. "He's so annoying, and he's doing things where he wants us to be like a family. It's just weird..." She shook her body as if she had a cold chill. "Plus, he has one of those old man smiles that could be threatening when all he's doing is asking for ice cream." Her voice was unhappy. She did not like this Jack guy at all.
"Y/n!" Yelena called out from the couch, making you and Kate leave the kitchen. "Yes?" You smiled and kept your voice level as you approached Yelena's side. Standing as she sat.
Yelena lifted her eyes to you before doing a double take at Kate. "Kate Bishop!? When did you get here?" Kate smiled awkwardly before licking her lips and speaking. "About five minutes ago." Yelena tilted her head. "Hmm. I did not know. You're sometimes too quiet." Kate did what she did best and chuckled lightly with a nervous laugh. "Yeah, like a mouse."
Yelena nodded before looking back at you and her phone. "Who is this?" She pointed to a Mario Party character on her tiny screen. "Oh, that's Wario." You replied. Yelena looked at you with all the seriousness in her voice. "Can I play as them?"
You nodded. "If you want."
"I want to." With one look into her eyes, you would go through hell to make sure she played as that little idiot.
"Okay, then you will." You smiled, and her face morphed into pure happiness. Like a puppy in the sun. "He reminds me of that fat short guy from that one show with the horrible people." She said as her attention moved back to the phone. You thought for a few seconds. "Are you talking about Danny Devito?!" Yelena smiled wide and bright. "Yeah, from the Sunny show!"
You couldn't help but laugh.
"That's a great character, Yelena!" Kate spoke up from behind you before not so subtly moving past you to sit next to Yelena on the couch. Her gaze was on Yelena's phone as well.
Were her cheeks pink?
"That character is like best friends with my character," Kate said, raising Yelena's eyebrows. "Really?!" You couldn't recall a time when Kate played as Walugi, but her favorite color was purple, so it probably happened at some point, and you just didn't remember.
Seconds later, a knock came to the door before YOU could explain how different Wario's dice block was from the other characters.
"Wanda! Pietro! Nice of you to join!" The twins were too busy bickering with one another to return your niceties. But Wanda did make sure to place the wine bottle in your arms.
"Y/n, did we have to knock, or could we have just let ourselves in?!" Pietro turned and looked at you with intensity. Wanda was doing the same. "Uhhh..." You looked between the siblings. "You could have just come in." You said with caution. "See!" Pietro threw his arms up while Wanda rolled her eyes. "But that's not how Mama raised us!" Wanda yelled as the two of them stormed into the kitchen.
Pietro had his nose leading him to the pizza. Wanda followed to grab glasses for the wine.
"But it's like the sitcoms you love so much. We're the friends that can come right into the apartment and join the shenanigans!"
Wanda groaned because her brother was right, and she hated it.
"Shut up!" Wanda replied before joining you in the living room, taking the wine from your hand. "Sorry. I need this NOW."
Wanda would be two and a half glasses in by the end of the night. All because of her lovely, annoying brother.
"Hey, Wanda! Hi Pietro!" Kate waved to the twins, who sent smiles and waves back. Yelena looked up and to them and gave them a nod. "Okay, so now if you land on a red monster face, you get in trouble?" Yelena asked Kate. Kate nodded and briefly explained who Boswer was.
Your eyes caught Yelena's briefly when she glanced your way. You could've sworn you saw her lip twitch upwards before she looked back to Kate.
"Here, Kate, it'll be easier to explain some of the mini-games once we're actually in the game." Kate looked up to you and your regent words sheepishly. She nodded after fumbling with her words. "Okay."
A moment later, when Kate left to grab the three of you slices of pizza, you took her spot next to Yelena. "I'll help you out if you need it." You said, which Yelena appreciated greatly but shook her head. "I shall win this game on my own!"
Your lips curled upwards with a laugh. "Oh, is that right, Lena!?" Yelena smirked and took a big sip of the wine Wanda dropped off. "Prepare to lose Y/n Y/l/n."
You took a sip of your wine as well. "We'll see Lena. We'll see."
About fifteen minutes later, You, Yelena, Kate, and Wanda were ready to start the night's first game. The disappointed look of Kate having to sit in her own chair was missed by you.
"How come there's five of us for a four-person game!" Pietro whined as you let Wanda select the level. "I asked Sam to come by, but he's busy with his test and all that." You said while waving your hand. Your friend Sam Wilson was training to become a pilot. Pietro huffed. "Fine."
"Also you fairly lost at rock papart scissors so sorry dude." You added on like rubbing salt in the wound. Wanda turned around and stuck her tongue out to her brother. Pietro angrily bit into his third slice of pizza and flipped her off.
The game was underway, and the order was set. Kate went first, followed by you and then Wanda. Yelena rolled a 3 and had to go last.
"Hey, that might be good; you can make your moves based on where other people are. Not where they might be." You said, cheering Yelena up slightly.
Kate and Wanda dominated the first few turns and minigames as you and Yelena struggled to move more than 4 per turn. You knew it was bad luck, but Yelena was about one more 1 v 3 mini-game from switching her joy-con until Kate got the first star.
"Who is that again?" Yelena asked as Toad started moving to a new spot on the map. "Toad. He's like a mushroom guy." Kate answered before you could. "Fuck! It's farther from me!" Wanda exclaimed as you turned towards the TV. Your eyes moving away from Yelena's side profile.
Toad landed seven spots in front of Yelena.
She could make it to him but she didn't have enough coins.
Luckily, when it was Yelena's turn, she rolled a five and landed on a blue space. Yet she was still short in terms of payment.
"Oh great, it's this one!" Wanda groaned. "Y/n's the be-" "Who wants to practice!?" You cut Wanda off and gave her a quiet glare; the other two people playing didn't seem to notice.
When everyone loaded into the practice mode, Wanda just gave you a confused look before forgetting about it.
Surprisingly, Yelena was just as good as you at rapidly clicking the button to send the little shy guy flying. But still, you won the practice mode. "Oh, come on, Y/n!" Yelena whined. "How did you do that?"
"What happened to winning the game on your own?" You said with your teasing voice dripping. Yelena loved that attitude and smirked. "Okay, Y/l/n, watch this." You turned towards the TV just before the mini-game started properly.
But not before you saw Kate's eyes on your blonde roommate.
"Come on!" Wanda yelled as her fingers smashed the button repeatedly. Kate groaned and held her breath as she did the same. You kept your technique unchanged, and Yelena did her best to copy you.
However, you knew from the practice round and every other game prior that you could do this with one with your eyes closed. But you had a crush on the blonde sitting next to you who cursed at her little yellow piece of shit character. Her words. So, without anyone realizing it, you stop mashing your button a few seconds before the timer ran out.
"Fuck that hurts!" Kate waved her hand around as the four shuguys began to take off.
Wanda's was the first to hit the ground. A laugh from her brother earned him a slap on the arm. Kate's followed the same destiny not long after, and to everyone's surprise, yours was the next to fail.
Wanda turned to you, shocked, but once Yelena realized she had won, Wanda put the pieces together and joined in the celebration of your defeat.
You were more than fine with it. Because now Yelena had enough coins to get her first-ever star.
She would never know it was really because of you.
"I'm taking a picture of this moment," Pietro said, making everyone laugh as Yelena hit the button to accept the Star from Toad.
"You Got A Star!" The game applauded! "I did it!" Yelena cheered and clapped to herself before you wrapped an arm around her and smiled at Pietro's dad's pose with the camera.
You thought Pietro had taken the picture when you shifted your face to take in Yelena's happiness.
Except, that was the picture that was taken.
Wanda made sure to show the one that followed where it looked like you were looking at the corner of the room.
After that, Yelena's luck turned for the better. She was on a roll. A few turns later, she earned another shiny star from a hidden block that left Kate flummoxed. "All I ever get is coins from those! Are you serious?!" Yelena laughed loudly at Kate.
Yelens then landed on Toad's space again after using a triple dice, and not even the prediction that you would win the game could stop Yelena.
Which left you, Kate, and Wanda struggling to do as much damage as possible to each other in the final turns of the first game.
"Yes!" Kate cheered when she got the last star next, making her and Yelena tied going into the Bonus Stars.
"Well, this sucks." Wanda sighed as she fell back against the couch. "There's no way I'm going to catch up!"
"What's happening?" Yelena asked no one in particular, but you still spoke up. "Bonus Stars. So once the game ends, it will still award additional stars to people. It makes it more exciting. Usually, it's like whoever landed on the most green spaces or landed on Bowser the most. Stuff like that." You explained, and you smiled when the blonde shifted her face to look at you.
However, your smile faltered a bit when you saw her eyes and the pout she wore. "So I might not win?"
"You can still win." You said with your voice soft. Yelena looked over your face as the moment became more intimate.
At least to you. You felt Wanda's gaze on you but moved your eyes to the TV.
"Yelena, look!" Kate pulled Yelena's attention away as the bonus star for the most distance traveled was being awarded.
It went to Wario.
And so did the next Bonus Star, which left Yelena jumping off the couch and into your arms when you stood up. "You did it!" You exclaimed loudly.
"I won the Mario Party!"
Your eyes shined as you looked at the way Yelena, how she couldn't control her excitement. It reminded you of the time you had won $200 on a lottery ticket, and you and Yelena went shopping. She bought a fur coat and wears it every time it hits below 45 degrees. (Fahrenheit)
You would always wanted her to be happy.
With the first round of Mario Party over, Wanda switched out with Pietro, and you did your best not to get competitive over the next game on the map in space. Yelena tried her hardest but found herself struggling. Pietro was just as fast in the game as he was in real life. Zooming from star to star, leaving you and Kate reeling.
"Y/l/n third place again!" Yelena teased as she landed herself in a solid second place behind Pietro. You went to jokingly retaliate, but Kate stole Yelena's attention and challenged her to a different Mario game.
Mario Kart.
Yelena's eyes went wide with fear before you slowly watched how they shifted.
Determined Yelena would be.
However, that would have to wait for another night as you looked at your phone, seeing how late it had gotten. Everyone agreed and helped you and the blonde clean up.
Pietro helped by eating two more slices.
"Oh hey, Y/n, before I leave, do you still have that red jacket? I wanted to borrow it for a party Lorna is throwing next week. It would fit the theme." Wanda said, shrugging her arms. You nodded and let her follow you to your bedroom.
"Here." You said, pulling the jacket off the hanger and holding your arm back. "Oh, thanks!" Wanda said as she grabbed it, and you turned around. Your eyes immediately noticed how your door had been shut.
"Wanda?" Sure, the two of you kissed when the clock struck midnight on New Year two years ago, but Wanda didn't have feelings. Did she? "Okay, spill!" Wanda said as she was closer than before—her voice above a whisper.
"Spill?"
"You and Yelena! What's going on there?" Ah! "Did you need this?" You said, picking up the arm of the jacket. Wanda shook her head. "I saw how you were looking at her! I take it she doesn't know?" You sighed. If there was anyone, you could count on sharing your newfound crush with, it was Wanda. "No, she doesn't know." You sighed again as you sat on your bed.
"Are you gonna tell her? Tonight?" Wanda asked, joining you by your side with her arms clutching the jacket. "I don't know... I want to... But."
"But it's Yelena." You nodded to Wanda's words. "I would also just hate to ruin our friendship." Wanda could understand. "Well, sometimes the biggest risks have the best rewards." You hated her cat poster-like words of wisdom, but she wasn't necessarily wrong. "Plus." You lifted your head to Wanda's green eyes before she continued. "At the end of the day, it's Yelena. Even if she didn't reciprocate those feelings with you, you know she wouldn't want anything to change between the two of you. You're best friends. She'll always be in your life. I'm sure it might be hard if she doesn't like you like you. But-"
"But I'd want her around." You finished Wanda's sentence. Wanda nodded, put her arm around you before her hand moved, and rubbed your back. "You're a big girl. You got this."
"You had to ruin it."
Wanda laughed loudly and let you rise from the bed. Before you helped her up. You definitely needed a new box spring.
Opening the door to your bedroom, your eyes caught Yelena's as she exited a hug from Kate. Her eyes quickly moved away from you and Wanda as she confirmed her plans to practice Mario Kart for the next game night, whenever that would be.
"Got the jacket. Let's go!" Wanda yelled to her brother, who was helping out and putting the leftover pizza in foil for you. Oh, no, wait. He was grabbing some to go.
Kate noticed where your eyesight had gone and laughed at Pietro's actions before giving you a tight hug. "Tonight was so much fun, thank you!" You hugged your childhood friend just as tight. "Thanks for coming."
Kate then moved to Yelena and was awkward as she accidentally punched Yelena in the boob as she lifted her arm to hug the blonde. Again. Yelena laughed loudly as Kate blushed before they hugged. Kate left with a cloud of smoke after that.
"Bye, Y/n. Bye, Yelena!" Pietro said his goodbye first with a quick wave to you and a side hug to Yelena. Wanda turned around and hugged you before turning and doing the same to the blonde. You smiled as you walked closer to the door at the end of the apartment hallway. "Bye, guys!" You waved as you shut the door to Wanda, mouthing, "Talk to her."
With a click, the door was locked, and it was just you and Yelena. "That was a good time, Y/n!" Your cheeks wore a light pink as you moved away from the door. Following Yelena in the living room area. "I'm glad you had fun, Lena."
Yelena moved to the couch and grabbed the remote as you entered the kitchen to grab some water. Your mind racing with a way to bring up you're feelings. "I'm not tired yet. Do you want to watch a movie?" Yelena called out from the living room. "Uh, sure! Just pick whatever!" You called out with your voice jumping from your nerves.
You took longer than one would need to fill out their water bottle. Thankfully, Yelena didn't seem to notice as she swiped through hundreds of different options.
She was trying to find something specifically tailored to you.
"You like this one, no?" Yelena asked as you finally sat down. The movie was Legally Blonde, and Yelena knew you loved it, so why was she questioning it? One look and you could see her mind had been racing too.
And for some reason, that calmed your nerves just a bit. What if she felt the same way you did?
You hid a smile and scooted closer to Yelena, who tensed up slightly before pulling you in and dropping an arm around you. "Should I have made popcorn?" You asked. Yelena shook her head. "Still full."
You were, too.
As Elle Woods began to wake up on the screen, you bit your lip. Would during or after the movie be an appropriate time to talk to Yelena?
"Y/n?" Yelena's voice broke you from your thoughts as you lifted your eyes to her. Yelena was chewing on her lip. "Yeah?"
"I have something to say, and I don't know how you're going to take it." Your heart started beating faster than you ever thought possible. "Okay." You said as the movie fell into a black hole behind you. Your body lifts off Yelena to give her your entire attention.
Could this be it?
Yelena sighed before her eyes fell on you. They were gentle. "Tonight, I discovered something... and I'm unsure how to move forward."
You knew the feeling.
"Okay..." Yelena moved her leg below her and turned more towards you. "I... I-" You had never seen Yelena so nervous and flustered. Not even when she booked a trip to Paris, Texas, and not Paris, France. "Yelena." You reached for her hand and took it. "Whatever it is. I'm here for you. I can help."
Yelena knew this, yet she was anxious. "I think I might have a crush on-" "Oh wow! Okay! Tha-"
"On Kate," Yelena said with the words flying out of her. She needed to get this off her chest. She needed you to know. She didn't like this feeling inside of her as she was keeping this to herself. Plus, Kate Bishop was your childhood best friend. Yelena didn't want to make that uncomfortable for you.
"Now! I know this might be weird! But I-" Yelena stopped and quickly gathered her words—enough time for you to process what just happened and to hear your heart become shattered glass.
"There is just something about her. I'm drawn in. She's clumsy but beautiful. Funny!" Yelena laughed to herself as a fake smile finally appeared on your face. "But!" Yelena gripped your hand, and you still felt butterflies in your stomach due to the touch of her soft fingers. "If you have a problem with this or feel uncomfortable, let me know!"
Yelena was dead serious. If you told her that it would make things... unbearable she wouldn't pursue any bit of this with Kate. But you couldn't do that to her. You wouldn't put her own happiness in jeopardy. "It's okay." You said with a smile—another fake one.
You had to fake it now. You could cry later.
"Are you sure?" You nodded. "Absolutely!" You said. Yelena nodded a tad. "It's just she's your childhood friend, and I'm your best friend-"
"Yeah. You're my best friend, Yelena, so of course I want you to be happy."
You said with an enthusiasm you didn't know you could muster. But it finally convinced Yelena, who pulled you in for a hug. "Oh, thank you, Y/n Y/l/n!" She said into your neck. You closed your eyes and let the moment happen. "I love you, Y/n!" Yelena said with a loud cheeriness in her voice.
"I love you too, Yelena!" You whispered back.
By the time the next game night rolled around, Yelena and Kate were dating.
You hated Mario Kart after that.

(Y/n) and Yelena are sitting watching TV.
(Y/n): I consider myself a pretty powerful superhero too
Yelena: Like Nats friend who’s a god from space? I doubt it
(Y/n) you doubt my magic? Okay, I will now use my magic to put the entire world into hands
Yelena: oh really? Do it.
(Y/n) rubs their hands and gently clasps Yelena’s face,
(Y/n): See? My whole world in my hands
Yelena turns beet red with embarrassment.
Yelena Softly: Why do you do this?

******
FALLING SLOWLY
******
Pairing: Yelena Belova x fem!reader
Words: 1.8K
******
Tumblr media
Living with a trained spy is, at least, curious. Natasha Romanoff was a peculiar individual, with weird mores. It wasn’t strange to find the red-head at 4 am fully awake, living for a run or having breakfast to start her day. On the other hand, Y/n still had, minimum, three to four more hours of sleep.
However, they understood each other perfectly. Chores were shared thoughtfully, Natasha not being able to get near the kitchen -she was capable of burning water-, and Y/n was forbidden near the washing machine -she had turned more than one white piece of clothing into another completely different colour. They had been sharing a home for years, but then a purple alien decided to blow up the compound, and they decided to buy a flat for themselves.
******
“Y/n… My precious friend, my favourite hero, my super talented cook” Natasha said in a singing voice as she entered the kitchen area, where Y/n was making pancakes for breakfast. As it was a Sunday, Natasha gave herself the pleasure to sleep in a bit.
“Stop that… What do you want? I don’t have Wanda’s ability to read your mind, but I know you well enough to know you want something”
“What? No” Y/n gave her an unimpressed look, “Okay, fine… So you know my sister Yelena, right? She was freeing some widows, and she just returned from the blip… We’ve been apart for so long, she has nowhere to go…” Y/n continued mixing the pancake mix, but raised her eyes to meet her friend’s ones.
“Can you go straight to the point please, this isn’t like you” Natasha sighed, feeling caught up, looking like a kid that had just broken a plate.
“Alright… I wanted to ask you if she can come live here with us? We have a spare room, she is nice, most of the time” the last part she mumbled, but kept eye contact with her roommate. The spy relaxed when she saw Y/n’s lips forming a wide smile.
“Nat, you could’ve just said that… Of course, she can come, I’m excited to meet her” Y/n went around the kitchen aisle to hug her friend quickly.
“Great, because she’ll be here in thirty minutes, thank you” Astonished, and with wide eyes, Y/n separated from Natasha, looking at her shocked.
“What? Oh, fuck you. What would you have done if I said no?”
“You forget that I also know you, you are too good to say no” Y/n returned to her task, shaking her head in disbelief, while Natasha went to prepare the spare room for Yelena.
Y/n decided to take a shower so she didn’t smell like pancakes when Yelena arrived. She also changed her clothes to something more presentable, and put come concealer on. When she got out, she heard her friend talking to someone with a very thick accent. That must be Yelena, she thought, while taking a deep breath and heading towards them.
The first thing she noticed of the blonde girl was that deep, husky laugh, as well as her voice. Once Yelena was fully in her sight, she could take her traits completely. She was quite tiny, but you could tell she was strong anyway, her hair was long, falling in waves onto her shoulder, she had the cutest round nose, and rosy cheeks. And as soon as they locked eyes, Y/n felt her breathing stop. Yelena’s eyes were the most beautiful shade of green, dots of what looked like gold tainted them.
Natasha was quickly introducing them, a small smirk on her face as she took in her friend’s shook. “Sestra, this is Y/n, my friend and roommate. Y/n this is Yelena, my baby sister”
“It is a pleasure to meet you” Y/n felt in some kind of trance, not being quite able to take her eyes off the smaller woman. You’re being creepy, stop it, her mind screamed at her, but she didn’t put any attention to it. What she did put her attention on was that accent, that now that she was closer, it was making her feel things that she didn’t want to acknowledge.
“Your accent is so cool” Eyes widened. Y/n’s face flushed in red, Natasha was trying so hard to not laugh, and she could’ve sworn Yelena’s cheeks were a bit more rosy than they were before. Well, she could’ve if she wasn’t so mortified. "I mean… It’s obviously a pleasure to meet you too… Who wants some breakfast?”
The blonde girl let out a loud “yes, please” and they headed to the sofa -they weren’t quite fond of eating on tables-. Y/n held herself back trying to calm down her pounding heart, but her roommate didn’t seem to think she had suffered embarrassment enough, “Stop mindfucking my sister in your head and come eat!” With a groan, and an annoyed expression, she joined the other two women, the frown on her face disappearing when she saw the two sisters together and laughing again.
******
Living with two sisters was, at least, interesting. They didn’t fight a lot, but when they did, the whole building shook. The worst part is that mostly those fights were because of stupid -in Y/n’s opinion- stuff. What to eat, who had to clean the bathroom, who chose what to watch on the TV… They were usually short, loud fights, but they had been fighting for twenty minutes, and Y/n couldn’t take it any more.
“That’s enough!” Finally, they shut up, looking at Y/n surprised. She didn’t tend to get in the middle of their arguments. “You’ve been fighting for almost half an hour over who will do the dishes, don’t worry I’ll do it, but please, lock yourselves in your rooms, because this is getting out of control.
The sisters looked ashamed, but knew that saying anything else wouldn’t help, so they left. Y/n headed to the kitchen, angry at her friends. She loved them, truly, but this was getting exhausting. Y/n knew that living with other people could be tough, but their fights were just ridiculous.
She had been cleaning for a few minutes when some footsteps came behind her. “I really don’t want to talk right now”.
“I just wanted to apologize to you” She didn’t have to turn around to know it was the blonde girl. Y/n would recognize that voice anywhere, that accent constantly running in her mind. The taller woman had accepted that she may or may not have some feelings towards Yelena, not that she was ever telling her friend that. Especially after knowing her for just a few weeks.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you, but it was getting absurd” She sighed and turned around to face the blonde, only to find her looking down, a sad frown on her face.
“I know it sounds like an excuse, but living with someone after so many years being alone it’s weird, hard” Y/n slightly knew their story, Natasha telling her when they found each other again, and their mission to bring down the Red Room.
“Hey, Lena? Don’t worry, it’s just sometimes I get triggered by shouts. My parents were constantly fighting when I was little, and I just hate it” Y/n felt a Yelena move to be closer, taking her hand, and stroking her finger on her knuckles. “I’ll try to do better I promise you” The Russian said, as Y/n hugged her, softly muttering a thank you.
Yelena then offered to help Y/n, so they cleaned the rest of the plates, doing small talk. What the girls didn’t notice was a certain redhead looking at them, with a small smile, watching at how the younger women laughed, Y/n pushing the blonde’s shoulder, while the latter rolled her eyes.
******
And Yelena did what she promised, fights minimum after two months. Bickering was still there, but most of the time it was more joking and teasing than serious. On the other hand, Yelena and Y/n entered a curious dynamic. They understood each other pretty well; shopping was their alone time without Natasha, not that she bothered them, but it was nice to have it.
Y/n had accepted that she did have feelings towards the blonde, but didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, so she never said anything. However, she wasn’t sure that the older woman didn’t also feel something, teasing and flirting was quite common, coming from her, but Y/n desperately convinced herself that it was just how Yelena was.
Those thoughts were running through her mind almost all the time, thankfully shower time let her rest from them, music blasting out the speakers of her phone. When she got out, she wrapped a towel around her body, it barely covered her butt, but she was sure her roommates were in their rooms.
She headed to her dormitory, humming the song she had been listening to without paying any attention to her surroundings until she bumped into something, making her slip with the water she was leaving on the floor, as well as her towel. Y/n expected to feel the floor against her back, but it never came.
An arm was wrapped around her waist, holding her close so she wouldn’t fall. A whimper came out of Y/n, when she locked eyes with the person in front of her. Yelena had her eyes widened, her hand hot against the younger woman’s back. They stayed in shock for a few seconds, but when the blonde returned to her senses, quickly separated from Y/n, picking the towel and handing it to the other girl.
Y/n muttered a soft thank you, while she walked -more like run- to her bedroom, closing the door behind her and resting against it. Her body was aroused by the thought of Yelena’s hands purposely running through her naked body. She felt like she needed to take a cold shower this time, but she wasn’t coming out of her room until dinner time, not feeling prepared to face the blonde girl again. What she didn’t know was that Yelena was in the same state as her, she was seated on the end of her bed, staring intensely at her hand, the feeling of Y/n’s back still lingering on her fingers.
A few hours later, three women were eating in silence, the younger ones looking at their plates as if they were the most interesting thing in the world, while the older burned her gaze into their skulls, taking their faces. “What is going on with you two?”
And, finally, the girls looked up. They quickly glanced at each other, cheeks red instantly. “Nothing” both of them said, and Natasha for once didn’t push any further, enjoying the girls’ embarrassment.

You and Kate are cuddled up on the couch, the soft glow of the TV flickering as the movie plays, though neither of you is paying much attention. It’s been a quiet evening, just the two of you, enjoying the warmth of each other's company. You’re nestled into Kate's side, her arm draped over your shoulder as she lazily plays with your hair.
The sound of the front door creaking open catches both of your attention, and you glance over to see your other girlfriend, Yelena, stepping inside. Her posture is slouched, her face visibly tired, and the weight of the mission she’s just returned from seems to cling to her.
Without hesitation, you immediately reach out to her, concern filling your voice. "Oh baby, come here," you say gently, patting your lap invitingly.
Yelena doesn’t need to be told twice. She trudges over, collapsing into your lap with a relieved sigh, her arms wrapping tightly around you as she buries her face against your neck. You can feel the tension in her body as she clings to you, her breathing ragged from exhaustion.
"Long day, Lena?" Kate asks, her voice soft as she shifts closer, her hand coming up to rub soothing circles on Yelena’s back.
All you hear in response is a muffled "mhmm" against your skin, the quiet sound making your heart ache for her.
You glance at Kate, the two of you sharing a knowing look. You both understand exactly what Yelena needs right now. A little bit of care... and maybe a lot of playtime to help her unwind.
You stroke Yelena’s hair gently, your voice a soft whisper. "We’ve got you, sweetheart."
Kate leans in, her lips brushing against Yelena’s ear as she murmurs, "Let us take care of you, baby." The promise hangs in the air, a shared understanding that tonight, Yelena will get everything she needs—and more.
Yelena’s wrists are bound securely to the headboard, her body taut and trembling with anticipation. She looks up at you with pleading eyes, her mouth parted as her breath comes in shallow gasps. She tugs at the restraints but not to break free—just to feel the delicious pull of submission you and Kate have her under.
You settle above her, straddling her chest, and slowly lower yourself onto her face. Yelena eagerly responds, her tongue immediately finding your most sensitive spot, making you gasp. Your fingers tangle into her blonde hair, pulling her closer as you grind gently against her mouth, each stroke sending waves of pleasure rippling through you.
At the other end of the bed, Kate stands between Yelena’s spread legs, the glint of the strap-on harness around her hips catching the light. She smirks, trailing her fingers up Yelena’s inner thigh, taking her time, knowing exactly how much Yelena wants her. Yelena whines into you, her hips jerking impatiently, trying to arch toward Kate.
“Patience, baby,” Kate teases, running the tip of the strap over Yelena’s entrance, just barely teasing her. “You’ll get what you need.”
Yelena moans against you, her desperation clear as her tongue works faster, pressing deeper into you, as if she knows that pleasing you will earn her what she wants. You roll your hips, biting your lip, your body starting to tremble from the intensity of her attention.
Your thighs squeeze together around her, you press deeper into her knowing exactly what you’re doing. Cutting off her air supply. Watching as she opened her eyes looking up at you desperately until she was tugging at the restraints knowing to let up as she took in a deep breath. Your eyes flick to her hand watching the movement carefully and understanding. ‘Again.’
You smirk down at your girlfriend settling back down onto her, watching as her face goes red, desperately trying to please you while the air is slowly pulled from her lungs. Yelena could last a long time holding her breath in most situations, but not when she’s trying to please you or Kate.
Kate watches with a satisfied grin before finally deciding to give in to Yelena’s need. She pushes in slowly, the strap filling Yelena inch by inch, eliciting a low, guttural moan from beneath you. The feeling of Yelena’s lips vibrating against you as she lets out that sound nearly sends you over the edge.
“Fuck, Lena,” you breathe, your hands gripping her hair tighter, your head tilting back in bliss.
Kate starts with a slow, deliberate rhythm, pulling out almost completely before thrusting back into Yelena’s slick heat. “Such a good girl for us,” Kate murmurs, her voice low and controlled as she watches Yelena’s body respond to every thrust, her hips moving in time with Kate’s.
Yelena’s moans are muffled against you, but you can feel her need growing more desperate with each passing second. Kate’s pace increases, her hips snapping forward as Yelena’s body arches off the bed, pulling helplessly at her restraints. The bed creaks beneath them, the room filled with the wet sound of Kate fucking Yelena and your own breathless gasps as you ride Yelena’s face.
Kate leans over, her breath hot against your skin as she whispers, “She’s close. You feel it too, don’t you?”
You nod, barely able to speak as the pleasure mounts, your body trembling on the edge. Yelena’s tongue never falters, even as she’s lost in the overwhelming sensations, her body completely at your mercy.
“Cum for us, baby,” you whisper to Yelena, knowing she’s close. And with that, Yelena lets out a broken cry against you, her body shaking as she falls apart beneath both of you, her release sending you spiraling into your own.
Kate keeps thrusting, working Yelena through her orgasm, her hips moving steadily as she watches the way Yelena’s body responds. You collapse forward slightly, panting, your hand still tangled in Yelena’s hair as her movements slow, her tongue flicking over you gently in her own dazed state.
As the three of you come down from the high, Kate pulls out gently, running her hands soothingly along Yelena’s thighs, while you lift yourself off Yelena’s face, gently stroking her cheek. Yelena looks up at you, exhausted but content, her lips glistening.
“We’re not done with you yet, Lena,” Kate smirks, leaning in to kiss your shoulder. “But for now... you did so good, baby.”

Pretty One
Pairing(s): Yelena Belova x Fem!Reader
Summary: A quiet day with your girlfriend ends with you having to leave your home when Natasha shows up in search for Yelena.
Word Count: 1,454
Warnings: Violence
Authors Note: This is based off of/inspired by the scene from Black Widow!
Tumblr media
You were currently laid on the sofa, snuggled up to your girlfriend. Her head rested on a pillow against the arm of the couch whilst your head was lying on her shoulder, her arms wrapped securely around you.
She had returned from a quick trip to the corner store just a couple hours ago for some basic food items when you got comfy on the cushions, and turned on some random show on the television.
You were quite interested in the show at first, but that was before Yelena began to card her fingers through your hair and caress your back with her calloused, yet extremely gentle hands.
The comforting actions from her had you dozing off. Not into a sound sleep per say, but into a very relaxed and tranquil state, so you were no longer focused on the show that still lightly ran in the background.
Yelena on the other hand was unsuccessful with paying attention to the plot at all when she had what she believed was a real life angel laying right in her arms, toying with the strap of the white tank top she wore.
Your mouth opened into a yawn as Yelena continued to play with your hair, "Tired? I know you didn't really sleep that well last night." she asked.
You shook your head, "No, just really content with you." you mumbled in response.
Yelena never thought she could make anyone feel anything other than pain and suffering after her time in the red room. But then she met you who introduced her to the world of emotions; the main one being love. The kind that everyone hopes and dreams for, but not everyone gets.
She turned to kiss your temple, "I love you, detka (baby), so much." she whispered against your head. "I love you too, Lena." you said the words back to her with just as much meaning.
A few moments of comfortable silence went by before she spoke up again, "What if we just ran away." she suggested.
"Ran away?" you repeated with a giggle and she hummed, lightly chuckling.
"Yeah, you know just go wherever our hearts take us and never look back." she elaborated on her out of the blue idea.
"Where would we go?" you questioned.
Yelena shrugged her shoulders, "Anywhere you want to." You thought for a moment before responding,
"I've always wanted to go to London."
"Then we'll start with London. And then maybe we'll go to Paris because it's the city of love, and well, you are my love." she said, making you giggle once again.
You continued to talk about that for a little bit before returning to the calming quietness of just your slow breathing and the television. This time you both had almost fallen asleep until Yelena froze. If there was anything being a trained ex assassin had given her, it was heightened senses.
She knew that something was not right, and the fact that she had you with her right now made her protective instincts immediately set off sirens in her brain.
"You okay, Lena?" you asked, feeling her body suddenly tense up.
Yelena gently sat up and untangled herself from you, making a frown form on your face.
"Where are you going?" you asked, opening your eyes to see her standing up.
"Dorogaya (darling), I need you to go into the other room and stay there. Do not come out until I come to get you myself." Yelena tells you.
"What?" you sat up in confusion.
"I know this sounds weird but I just need you to trust me, okay?" she spoke as she pulled a gun out from under the couch cushion, making your eyes slightly widen.
"What— what's going on? Is someone here?" you said in a panic, watching as she slipped on her blazer that was laying on a chair.
She contemplated her next words as she didn't want you to scare you, but she also didn't want to lie to you, "That's what I'm going to find out. But first I need to know that you're safe before I go anywhere. So please, just trust me." Yelena spoke softly to calm you.
You hesitantly nodded your head, and she took that as her cue to take your hand and lead you to the other room. She stopped in front of your wardrobe and opened the door, "Stay here, and wait for me to come get you."
She pressed a kiss to your forehead after you sat down. You murmured an 'Okay' before she shut the door and her footsteps disappeared down the hallway.
~~~
Meanwhile, Yelena made sure her gun was loaded before holding it out in front of her, "I know you're out there." her voice echoed through the apartment.
A few seconds passed before another voice responded, "I know you know I'm out here." it spoke, followed by the front door loudly opening and closing.
"Then why are you skulking about like it's a minefield?" you heard your girlfriend say.
"Cause I don't know if I can trust you." the voice that was unknown to you answered.
You could hear Yelena lightly chuckle, "Funny, I was going to say the same thing."
"So, are we gonna talk like grown-ups?" the intruder asked.
Yelena's tone dropped lowly, "Is that what we are?"
You couldn't see it, but Yelena and the owner of the unrecognizable voice were finally face to face, each pointing a gun at the other.
For a few moments you could only hear shoes patting against the floor when your girlfriends voice threatened, "Put it down before I make you."
"You put yours down." the voice shot back, "Watch your step."
Nothing but an eerie silence could be heard by your ears. That was until Yelena and the stranger decided to quit the small talk and handle the situation in a different manner.
It was clear to you that they were now fighting from the loud crashes and shouting that rang through the apartment floor. Objects were smashed, glass was shattering, furniture was breaking. You knew that your girlfriends was significantly more than capable of handling herself, but you were still worried about her.
You weren't exactly sure how long the commotion had gone on for when you finally heard the voice speak again, "Truce." it said. It scared you that Yelena sounded like she was gasping for air.
"You've grown up." the stranger commented.
'Grown up?' you thought. 'Did Yelena know this person? Why are they here? Why were trying to hurt your girlfriend?'
"No shit." Yelena responded coldly. You could hear footsteps coming closer to you when the door opened, revealing your Lena.
Her hair was tousled and she looked as if she had just ran a marathon, but it was her. She was seemingly unharmed, but you just had to make sure.
You cupped her face as she kneeled in front of you, "Lena? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" your eyes concerningly scanned her body.
"I'm alright, printsessa (princess), I promise." she reassured you.
Yelena caught you when you threw yourself into her arms and wrapped yours around her neck to hold her close, not caring about how sweaty she might be.
"Hey dorogaya, I need you to do something for me, okay?" she said as she pulled back.
You hummed, wordlessly telling her to continue, "You know those bags we have packed for emergencies under the bed in our room?" Yelena asked and you nodded, "I need you to go grab them for me, okay?"
You both knew that eventually you would have to get up and leave. With Yelena being a trained ex assassin she had inevitably made some enemies. You just didn't expect that day to come so soon.
So you knowingly complied, standing to your feet with her. When Yelena moved out from in front of you so you could walk away, you saw who you believed to be the intruder standing just a few feet away.
She had fiery red hair that was styled into a braid, and wore an all black outfit. You coward under her rather intimidating gaze, realizing that this stranger who just attacked your girlfriend had just watched your whole encounter.
You felt a hand rest on the small of your back, recognizing it as Yelena's, "Ignore her, detka (baby). She won't hurt you." she said, pressing a kiss to your hair as she gave her sister a warning glance.
Yelena gave you a nod when you looked at her for you to go ahead and leave the room. You quickly walked passed the redhead who looked at her younger sister with her signature smirk.
"She’s a pretty one." Natasha stated.
Yelena rolled her eyes, "Shut up."
You watched the numbers increase on the small screen above you. The elevator whirled up an extensive amount of floors and you could hear music and voices getting louder as you reached the top. To top it off, you had to listen to lousy jazz music all the way up.
The elevator jolted to a stop and the noise right outside of the doors indicated the size of the group waiting on the other side.
You inhaled deeply and adjusted your clothing nervously. This was the last party of the season and you were all but happy. Parties and holidays brought out the worst in Yelena and you were ready for them to be over. Parties in particular were a sore spot and she had been acting childish as of lately.
She was easily irritated, didn’t engage in conversation much, wanting to leave early, and most importantly—her jealousy was through the roof.
Recently there were new recruits who have been hanging around more and getting to know everyone. Yelena isn’t the friendly type, especially when it comes to other people talking to you. Of course, you were simply trying to be nice while Yelena thought of it as a threat.
You assumed tonight would be no different.
As the elevator doors eased open the sounds were almost deafening. You couldn’t tell if everyone’s voices or the music was louder, either way you had a difficult time adjusting from the tiresome elevator tunes.
You should’ve known that New Year’s Eve would be a hit at the Avengers Tower, but somehow you thought everyone would be down in Time Square observing the annual ball drop. It was only an hour until midnight so there was still time.
“Hey… y/n!”
You see a hand waving through the crowd but can’t quite make out who it is.
From in between two individuals, Peter emerges panting. “Hey! I was trying to get your attention, but it’s kinda hard with all these people.”
You can’t help but laugh. “Hey, Pete. How long have you been up here?”
“Well if you’re talking about how long I’ve been up here at the party, it’s been about 2 hours…if you’re talking about how long I’ve been up here in general…all day.”
“Peter, why on earth have you been up here all day?”
He scratches the back of his neck. “You see, Sam said—”
“That’s all I need to know,” you stopped Peter. “Anyway, have you seen Yelena around here at all?”
“Last time I saw her she was over by the bar.”
You tried to see over the mass of people crammed into the room, but it was no luck.
“Damn, there’s too many people to tell. Thanks anyways, Pete.”
You slithered past sweaty bodies to make your way over to the bar in hopes of finding Yelena there. Even after all that work, Yelena was nowhere near the bar, but there was another friendly face waiting there.
“Hey, Kate,” you greeted her.
Kate smiled back with warm cheeks. “What’s up!”
“Not much,” you responded while sitting down on the stool next to her, “just enjoying another party.”
“You sound entirely enthusiastic about it, I can see,” Kate says.
“Oh yeah, I just live for these parties. I’m definitely not tired of them after the last 5 we’ve had.”
“I’m going to agree with you on that.”
You asked the bartender for a drink to pass the time as you sat with Kate.
“How have you been liking the tower?” you asked Kate as you sipped your drink.
“It’s definitely a change of pace. Working independently out on the field versus being here with the Avengers… it’s wicked cool!” Her excitement makes you smile, remembering the time when you first were recruited.
“Don’t get too excited, sometimes you miss working alone,” you chuckle.
There was an awkward silence after your last comment, which made you think that Kate might take it the wrong way. “Don’t get me wrong, I love working in teams, but sometimes independent work helps clear your mind.”
“Makes sense… does that have anything to do with Yelena?”
You jolt your head up. “Why do you say that?”
“Well, for one, Yelena is usually the only one you go out on missions with, and two, she’s staring at you like you killed Fanny.”
Your heart leaps into your throat as you turn to face the horror Kate warned you about. Kate wasn’t exaggerating. Yelena looked as if you had just committed the crime of the century.
“Is everything alright between the two of you?” Kate asked, apprehensively.
Your eyes never left Yelena while talking to Kate. “I’m not too sure now…I’m going to have to catch up with you later.”
You left Kate at the bar as you made your way over to Yelena’s watching eyes. The closer you got to her, the more your nerves overcame you. You weren’t sure what her problem was or what you did, and you didn’t want to suffer through the consequences of her anger—especially not tonight.
You were facing her now up close, letting the music pound into your eardrums while she slowly sipped on her drink. “Fun party, right?” Yelena yelled.
“Not really.” You stared at her once again, hoping she might elaborate on her previous death stare.
“No? Hmm, that’s too bad, I’m having a great-”
“Yelena, cut the act.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“That’s a fucking lie and you know it.”
“I don’t know anything.” She smirked, but not the good kind of smirk. It was the kind of smirk where you know you had either fucked up or she did something awful.
“What did you do?” you asked.
“I didn’t do anything.” Her emphasis gave you all the clues you needed.
“Then what did I do?”
Yelena didn’t answer. She kept standing there taking small, occasional sips of her drink, almost as if the conversation was just as meaningless as the party.
“Yelena, I’m not doing this here.”
“Well, then let’s find somewhere else to do it then.”
You didn’t like her attitude at all, but you also didn’t want to leave the conversation unfinished. You looked around behind Yelena to see one of the many hallways they could sneak off to. You grabbed Yelena’s hand and pulled her down the hallway into a room.
“Is this satisfactory for you?” you asked, matching her attitude.
Yelena looked around the closet you managed to find. “It’s a bit small, but-”
“Oh, would you stop it!”
“No!” Yelena placed her hand firmly around your neck, slamming you against the closet door. “You stop it!”
You looked at her in shock. This wasn’t to say that this gesture was out of the ordinary from Yelena, but it was her ability to shut down so quickly that took you by surprise.
“You’ve been acting like a little slut lately,” she sternly said. Yelena could tell you were confused by her accusation. “Aw, you need help remembering how you embarrassed daddy?”
You tried to move your head forward to release Yelena’s right grip from your neck. “Yelena-” you started, but your head was pressed against the door once again.
“Don’t you know you don’t get to talk to other girls?” She moved her lips closer to your ear. “Don’t you know you’re mine, baby?” she whispered so delicately into your ear, your hair standing on edge.
Kate.
Yelena must have seen the realization written all over your face. You had been cutting it up with Kate while you were waiting to find Yelena. Little did you know, Yelena had been observing the two of you for a short time.
“Yelena, it’s not what it looks like,” you whispered.
“Oh, it’s not? Because it looked like you were interested in messing around with someone else, hmm?”
“No, that's not-”
“Ah ah,” she tuts. “I don’t want to hear excuses, baby…prove it to me.”
Your chest tightened. “Prove… what?”
Yelena smirked at you while her hand traced down the front of your frame. Her fingers ever so delicately slipped under the band of your pants.
“Yelena…” You could tell there was no stopping her from what she aimed to get from you.
“I want you,” she started, pausing while pushing her fingers past the barrier of your underwear, “to prove I’m yours.”
You were eye to eye now. Yelena’s eyes hung lazily with lust and revenge. She wanted to make you squirm… make you pay for how you made her feel.
She started rubbing gently against your clit, just enough to tease you. “Say it… ‘I’m yours.’”
“Yelena, please…”
“Say it!” she said, getting impatient. Her mouth was brushing against your ear, her breath hot against your skin. She bit your ear gently, hoping that you would make any kind of noise to grab her attention.
“I-I’m yours,” you whispered.
“That’s not loud enough, I can’t hear you.” With her words she picked up pace.
“I’m yours,” you moaned. You grabbed onto the wall in preparation for your legs to give out very soon. You even found yourself moving your hips against Yelena’s hand, your body craving her touch even more.
But you were angry with her. You were angry that Yelena was angry over nothing. This wasn’t unusual, which was the frustrating part, but you couldn’t help but drown in pleasure. Though it wasn’t Yelena’s intention to put you in a better mood, it was working either way.
“Such a good girl riding my fingers for me, but I want you to keep going. You can’t cum until I tell you to, baby.” The more she edged you on it only made you come closer to the edge.
In addition, you suddenly became aware of how loud you were being. You gained consciousness and were afraid everyone could hear you.
What if they notice you’re gone? What if they heard you? Or worse… What if they find you?
Your brain began scrambling. You couldn’t focus on the present, only what lies beyond the small closet the two of you were tucked behind.
Yelena could tell you were antsy, which only caused her more grief. Her other hand that was placed firmly on your hip tightened. She was keeping you in place so there was nowhere for you to run.
“I didn’t tell you to stop; keep talking,” she demanded. “I want you to scream my name loud enough to forget hers.”
The anger you were feeling started to melt away into only an ecstasy of pleasure. You couldn’t resist the way she felt against you, and you couldn’t possibly turn her away now.
“I’m yours,” you responded for her.
“That’s a good girl, but you’re going to need to be louder if you really mean it.”
“I’m yours!”
“There you go, pretty girl. I knew you could do it.” Her words went straight to your head, sending you farther into a daze. Your previous fear of your closet endeavors being seen had faded away, now all that was left was you and Yelena.
“You getting close, baby?”
She knew you so well. Your legs were quivering, your breathing was erratic, and your nails were digging deeper into the back of Yelena’s neck.
“I know you’re so close, but I need to hear you,” she begged of you.
“Please, Yelena,” you whined. “I’ll be good.”
“Aw, will you baby? Have you learned your lesson?”
“Y-yes.”
“Then show me…cum baby.”
“Oh, Yelena!”
You came undone per her command. You tried to cover your mouth to muffle the sounds that could be heard outside the door, but Yelena quickly swatted your hand away. She wanted everyone to know you were hers.
After you calmed down, you tried your best to support yourself on your weak legs. You opened your eyes to meet Yelena’s piercing stare. You definitely felt better but you could tell that Yelena wasn’t completely satisfied.
You had lost track of time until you heard the large crowd outside the door counting down to midnight. Of course you expected a kiss from Yelena for the occasion, but instead you watched her wipe her fingers on her pants and head out of the door.
You were suddenly left alone as the celebration outside continued. You leaned against the door and slid down until you reached the bottom. As you sat there, you wondered what possible lesson Yelena could be teaching you by leaving you alone at the top of the New Year.
May I request, angst (tiny) with fluff with Yelena?
Reader & yelena have been struggling with trying to find time for one another, Yelena doing her think with tracking down the other widows to free them, reader constantly at the compound training, or training new members etc
& when Yelena has found & free’d the last widow, she books a vacation and is able to trick reader into “a mission” but it’s just Yelena whisking reader away to a cabin in the woods or snowy mountains for some time away from general life?
Up to you what you do with this ofc, feel free to add anything, remove anything. You’ve got total control & freedom 🥰 & up to you if reader is fem or gn! I don’t mind
Pairing: Yelena Belova x Fem!Reader
Summary: Lately, you and Yelena have faced an uphill battle trying to carve out quality time together. While she tirelessly hunts down the remaining widows to set them free, you find yourself at the compound, immersed in training recruits, the hours slipping away in a blur. But after Yelena’s relentless efforts culminate in rescuing the last widow, it’s time for a well-deserved break. The blonde set her sights on a surprise tropical getaway for the two of you, eager to whisk you away from the chaos and into the sun-soaked paradise you’ve been dreaming about.
Word Count: 5.6k
Genre: Fluff with light angst.
Warnings: None
A/N: This was so much fun to write!
You trudged into the compound kitchen after the third recruit training session of the day, looking for the Advil. When Maria suggested you take the lead on training the latest recruits, you didn't know they would give you such a headache. Rifling through the cupboards, you sighed as you came up empty.
“Looking for this, Agent Y/L/N?” Nat smirked, calling you by the title used by the recruits as she tossed you the bottle.
“Yes! Thank you,” you replied, catching it like a maraca. “I swear, if one more person calls me Agent Y/L/N today, I'm going to break their arm,” you grumbled as you downed a couple of pills with a glass of water.
“Recruit training going that well, huh?” She asked, a sly smile crossing her face as she poured herself a protein shake.
“They get an A for effort,” you replied, resting your chin in your hand.
“But,” Natasha raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story.
“But they’re slow and unprofessional,” you admitted with a sigh, shaking your head in disbelief.
“They’ll come around eventually; give them time,” Natasha said, her tone reassuring. “They’re just a bit green.”
You couldn't help but smirk. “Yeah, and so was Bruce, but we don’t hold that against him,” you teased.
Natasha chuckled. “Touché. Speaking of coming around, I spoke with Yelena earlier,” she said, her expression shifting to something softer.
Your heart sank a little at her words. “She’s not coming home tonight, is she?” you asked, already knowing the answer but hoping for a different one.
Nat sighed, fingers threading through her vibrant red hair, glimmering faintly under the soft light. “This is our last widow,” she said, her voice tinged with frustration. She’s vanished off the grid in Japan. It’s just going take Yelena longer than initially anticipated to track her down.”
You tapped your fingers against the counter in acknowledgment, your gaze drifting away from Natasha’s earnest eyes.
“Y/N…” she began softly, but you cut her off.
“Hey, that’s how things go,” you said, forcing a small, brave smile. “Thanks for letting me know, Nat.” Touching her shoulder as you moved past toward your room.
*^~^*
After a long and arduous week spent navigating the dense, mystical Yakushima forest in search of her widow, Yelena finally found a moment to reach out to you. With a heavy heart, she began her journey back to the bustling city of Tokyo, feeling the weight of the failed search around her.
Once she had returned to an area with cell service, she eagerly tapped your icon on her phone and listened intently as the line connected. However, her call ringing echoed in silence, drowned out by the chaos of recruits sparring nearby. Their shouts and the clashing sounds of training gear filled the air, preventing you from hearing her call. Frustrated, she watched the call go to voicemail, her heart sinking.
“Hey, baby. It’s me,” she began, her voice soft yet laced with longing as she shifted the phone from one ear to another, trying to block out the noise around her. “I miss you so much.” She took a moment, her thoughts lingering on you. “I hope the recruits aren’t driving you mad with their antics. I can’t believe I'm still not home and counting the days until I can see you again. I promise I’ll make this up to you somehow. I love you. Bye for now.”
“Good job today, everyone,” you announced as the training session wrapped up. “Just a quick reminder—our team-based combat simulations start tomorrow. Also, Ramirez and Williams, let’s focus on sharpening your accuracy with marksmanship next time. Keep up the momentum. Dismissed!”
As the last recruit exited the gym, you caught your breath before reaching for your phone. With a slight furrow in your brow, you noticed Yelena's notification, and your heart ached in anticipation. Pressing play on the missed voicemail, you were immediately enveloped by the weight of her sorrowful tone. It was clear that Yelena felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility—a fierce conviction that she alone must be the one to liberate the widows now that the oppressive reign of Dreykov and the Red Room had crumbled away. With each passing moment, the urgency grew—she was down to the last of thousands of girls, and failure was not an option. You knew that Yelena would stop at nothing to find her. Yet, beneath her strong exterior, you recognized the isolation this pursuit inflicted upon her.
Frustration gnawed at you as you tried to reach Yelena again, only to be met with silence. “Damn it,” you muttered under your breath. In a moment of hope, you decided to fire off a text instead.
Y/N: Hey love, I’m sorry for missing your call. The recruits are a handful; it feels like herding cats, but we’re making some headway. I miss you more than words can say.
With a sigh, you tucked your phone into the back pocket of your tactical suit and headed back to your room. The evening loomed ahead, filled with recruit evaluations and the bittersweet company of the television.
*^~^*
Maria leaned back in her chair, tapping her pen against the desk as she looked at you expectantly. “So, if we stick to the current schedule, we should be able to kick off our final recruit evaluations by the 24th. What do you think, Y/N?”
You didn’t respond, caught in your thoughts, and Maria could feel the distance between you. With a gentle sigh, she set aside the training files and approached the front of her desk, concern etched on her face. “Y/N? Are you still with me?”
Startled, you blinked, realizing you’d zoned out. “Oh, I’m sorry,” you replied, forcing a smile. “Yeah, that sounds good.”
Maria’s gaze softened as she noticed the shadows lingering under your eyes and the weight of sadness on your face. “I know it’s been tough with Yelena away for so long,” she said softly.
You shifted uncomfortably, desperate to divert the conversation. “So, uh, is Cap planning to come watch training this week?”
“Y/N,” Maria said gently, “when did you last speak to her?”
A heavy sigh escaped your lips. “Honestly, I can’t even remember. It feels like we keep missing each other, just playing an endless game of phone tag.”
The brunette nodded, her mind sorting through her mental Rolodex of contacts. “I hope you get the chance to speak with her soon. In the meantime, I think we’re good to go for now. I’ll let you know when Steve is ready to deliver his infamous responsibility lecture,” she added, emphasizing the last words with playful air quotes.
As you stood up, a smirk crossed your face, reminiscing about the time you endured that lecture as a fresh recruit. “Does that talk still come with the same warning about bad language words?” you teased.
“Sadly, yes,” Maria replied with a resigned laugh.
“Maybe it’s time for a swear jar policy,” you suggested with a chuckle, imagining the overflowing jar as you headed out the door.
Maria waited until you closed the door and were out of earshot before making a move. “FRIDAY, get the Public Security Intelligence Agency of Japan on the line, please.”
*^~^*
Yelena pulled open the heavy stainless steel fridge door in the dimly lit safehouse, a familiar ritual that had begun to feel daunting. Despite Stark's wealth, the sparse shelves inside the fridge always surprised her. The cold air spilled into the room as she scanned the meager contents—scattered remnants of unappealing leftovers and a bottle of mustard. With a resigned sigh, she assembled a makeshift meal from the paltry offerings, knowing it would hardly rival a warm bowl of macaroni and cheese, but it would have to suffice for now.
As she settled into her dinner routine, a sharp knock echoed through the silence, sending a shiver down her spine. Instinctively, she set her fork aside and reached for her gun on the counter. Her dominant hand gripped the weapon firmly while her off hand steadied a small flashlight, its beam cutting through the shadows. She crouched, illuminating the floor to reveal dark silhouettes of feet lurking just outside the door.
Peering through the peephole, Yelena saw a Japanese military officer, his beard framing a serious expression. “Who is it?” she called out, her voice steady and commanding.
“Colonel Akira Matsumoto,” he replied, formal yet respectful.
With a cautious glance, Yelena lowered her weapon and slowly opened the door, her instincts still on high alert. Colonel Matsumoto performed a deep bow, a gesture of respect and peace.
Yet, years of training had taught her to be wary. “What do you want? Who sent you?” she pressed, her eyes narrowing.
“The Public Security Intelligence Agency was contacted by Agent Maria Hill,” he explained, his demeanor serious as he extended a file folder toward her. “She said you would need this.” With a crisp salute, he stepped back, his presence retreating into the shadows of the corridor.
Yelena hesitated momentarily, her gaze flickering between the officer’s retreating figure and the file now resting in her hands.
She glanced around the dimly lit hall before firmly shutting the door behind her, the soft click echoing in the stillness. She moved to the couch, its fabric cool against her skin as she sank into the cushions.
With a deep breath, she opened the file, letting its contents spill across the cluttered coffee table—a jumble of papers, photographs, and notes that painted a chaotic picture of her missing widow. Each page chronicled past encounters, recent sightings, and a promising lead about where she was headed. “What the hell?” She muttered, surprise washing over her.
A sudden ping from her burner phone shattered her thought, jarring her back to the present. She glanced at the screen, her heart heavy as she read the message.
Maria: Find your last widow and come home. Y/N needs you.
*^~^*
A few days later, you gathered the recruits early in the morning, the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon, casting a warm glow across the sprawling grounds of the Avengers Compound. You noticed the mix of excitement and nervousness on their faces. With a rallying shout, you motioned for them to line up. After a quick warm-up to loosen their muscles, you led them at a brisk pace through the lush greenery surrounding the compound.
As you ran, you encouraged them to keep pace, pointing out various landmarks along the way—the state-of-the-art training facilities, the high-tech labs, and the impressive hangars where advanced equipment was stored. The fresh morning air filled your lungs; with each step, you felt the camaraderie building among the group. You could hear their footsteps thumping against the gravel path, the sound of determination echoing in the stillness of the morning.
As you rounded the south side of the complex, suddenly, the sharp sound of a grappling hook striking the concrete facade echoed through the grounds. From the rooftop above, a figure suddenly emerged—initially a blur, but soon recognizable by her striking short blonde hair. Your eyes widened in surprise. The recruits stumbled to a halt behind you. With a fluid leap, Yelena landed smoothly on the ground, her boots barely sounding on the compound's terrain. Her eyes lock onto you, and a hint of a smile plays on her lips.
"Welcome back," you said, trying to sound professional in front of the recruits despite your shockk and the desire to jump into her arms.
Yelena strode confidently towards you, her long coat billowing behind her. "It's good to be back," she replied, her voice low and smooth. "I see you're keeping busy."
The recruits stole furtive glances at one another, their eyes wide with uncertainty. A hushed voice broke the silence, "Is that...?"
You responded with a barely noticeable nod. Yes, it’s Yelena Belova, and her presence is anything but ordinary.
As the blonde approached confidently, her sharp gaze swept over the recruits, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "So, this is the new lineup? How are they faring?"
With a mischievous grin, you responded, "You know the routine—if luck’s on our side, we might have a couple who rise to the occasion by the end of training."
You caught a fleeting glimpse of uncertainty in their eyes but then opted to lighten the mood. Glancing at your watch, you announced, “Alright, let’s hit pause for a moment. Everyone, take ten.”
As soon as the recruits disappeared from view, Yelena intertwined her fingers with yours. The cool touch of her rings sends a chill down your back. The distant sounds of training faded into a hush. She guided you behind a nearby lab. In an instant, Yelena pulled you close, her breath warm against your skin. Suddenly, your lips met hers, igniting a spark of hurried passion, as if the world around you had faded away, leaving only the two of you in that stolen moment.
Gasping for breath between heated kisses, you teased, “You realize you could have just used the front gate, right?”
“Ah, but where’s the thrill in that?” Yelena replied with a playful grin, pulling you closer.
“I take it you finally tracked down your last widow?” you inquired, curiosity peeked.
“I did, in the Shinjuku district. All thanks to a certain former Deputy Director of Shield,” she replied before leaning in to place another tender kiss on your lips.
“Aww, what do we have here?” a voice sliced through the air, interrupting your moment with Yelena.
Both of you spun around, scanning the area for the source.
“Up here, ladies!” The voice called playfully.
You looked up to see Red Wing hovering before the two of you.
“Sam!” you exclaimed, a mix of surprise and exasperation coloring your tone. “What are you doing?”
“Just tracking down the source of that security breach,” Sam replied casually. “You know FRIDAY gives Tony the heads-up whenever something goes south with the compound’s security, right?”
Heat crept to your cheeks as you ran a hand down your face, caught between embarrassment and frustration.
“Cyka! Could we get some privacy, please?” Yelena shot back.
Sam chuckled, “If you were looking for privacy, I’d recommend a less theatrical entrance next time.”
Yelena grumbled, glancing impatiently at her watch. “I’m already late for the debriefing, and you’ve got a group of anxious recruits waiting for you. I’ll be in your room when you're done.”
“Okay, sweetheart,” you replied with a teasing smile and a lingering kiss.
“Ah, young love—so enchanting,” Sam's voice chirped through Red Wing.
You watched her leave, then turned your gaze back to the hovering drone. “I’m seriously considering throwing a rock at that thing,” you muttered.
“His name is Red Wing,” Sam corrected. “And really, what sort of example would you be setting for the recruits?”
As you turned on your heel and walked away, a torrent of frustrated curses escaped your lips, barely audible yet simmering with exasperation.
*^~^*
By the time you wrapped up recruit training, completed their progress reports, met with Fury, and indulged in a refreshing shower, the world outside had slipped into darkness.
You softly pushed open the door to your bedroom. It was quiet, save for the soft sound of Yelena’s gentle breathing. She lay peacefully on your bed, her body nestled comfortably within the covers, lost in a deep sleep. You could see the exhaustion etched across her features; the jet lag alone would have been enough to bring anyone to their knees.
Slowly, you lowered yourself onto the edge of the bed. As you turned to your side, the soft glow from the bedside lamp illuminated her face, casting shadows that highlighted her delicate features. You reached out gently, brushing back a stray strand of her blonde hair that had fallen across her forehead, your fingers lingering just a moment to savor the softness. With a sigh, you closed your eyes, drifting into a peaceful slumber, content knowing Yelena was finally home and you could pick up where you left off.
*^~^*
Yelena made sure to move as quietly as a whisper when she slipped out of bed in the morning, careful not to wake you. The sheets were still warm where she had lain, and the night pressed heavily upon her eyelids, urging her to return to sleep. Yet, the blonde had something else in mind. Her feet padded softly on the floor as she reached Maria’s office, pausing momentarily before knocking gently on the door.
“Come in,” came her voice from within, steady and inviting.
Yelena peeked into the room, where the soft glow of a desk lamp illuminated Maria hunched over a stack of mission reports.
“Yelena, welcome back,” Maria said, setting the reports aside and offering a warm smile that softened her usually serious demeanor. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“First of all, I wanted to thank you for your help in locating the last widow. Without your contact, I’d still be lost in the Yakushima forest, trying to decipher tracks in the underbrush,” she replied earnestly.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Maria responded, a slight smirk barely curling her lips. “Was there a second of all?”
“I want to do something special for Y/N,” Yelena said. With a flourish, she pulled out her phone, the screen illuminating her face as she displayed vibrant photos of the one place you had always dreamt of visiting—an exotic paradise that seemed worlds away. “Can you help me make this happen?”
“I think we can arrange that,” Maria replied, her tone turning serious yet excited, and Yelena felt a flicker of hope.
*^~^*
As the light crept through the curtains, you instinctively reached out for Yelena, seeking the comfort of her presence. Instead, your fingers brushed against cool, empty sheets. Blinking away the remnants of slumber, you propped yourself up on one elbow and glanced around the room, your heart sinking at the sight of the empty bed.
“FRIDAY, where’s Yelena?” you called out, your voice breaking the quiet.
“Ms. Belova is preparing breakfast in the kitchen,” FRIDAY replied.
As you stepped into the kitchen, the inviting aroma of scrambled eggs filled the air. There sat your girlfriend, still in her cozy pajamas, artfully arranging two plates on the table.
“Wow, what’s all this, love? I thought you’d be sleeping,” you said, pulling out your chair and sitting.
She flashed you a warm smile, kissing your cheek softly as she settled beside you. “I know, but I wanted to make up for lost time. Hot sauce?” she offered, holding up the bottle playfully.
“Absolutely,” you replied, grinning back at her. “This is nice. I can’t even remember the last time we had breakfast together.”
“November 15th,” she replied casually, effortlessly mixing hot sauce into her eggs. “You had a bagel with cream cheese and grape jelly while I had honeycomb cereal and avocado toast.”
You raised an eyebrow in surprise. “You remember that?”
“Of course!” she said, her tone teasing, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
As you finished breakfast, the compound came to life. Steve walked in, his cheeks flushed from his run, his shirt clinging to his muscular frame. Natasha, preparing to hit the road, emerged from her room with her motorcycle helmet in hand. The inviting scent of chocolate chip cookies filled the air as Wanda began baking, effortlessly moving around the kitchen. Tony burst in next, a whirlwind of enthusiasm, pouring himself a steaming cup of coffee and excitedly rambling about complex calculations you didn't understand.
“Well, so much for our quiet moment,” Yelena said, her voice barely cutting through the lively chaos swirling around you.
You sighed, glancing at her with a mix of disappointment and concern. When you were about to suggest that perhaps she’d like to slip back under the covers for a little longer before the chaos of recruit training began, FRIDAY’s voice pierced the air.
“I apologize for the interruption, but Agent Hill urgently requires the immediate presence of Ms. Belova and Ms. Y/L/N in the Quinjet hangar. This is a priority one alert,” the AI announced.
You groaned, “Oh, come on, she just got home!”
“It’s okay, malyshka,” Yelena replied, doing her best to comfort you. “I’ll meet you down there.”
You nodded with a heavy heart and went to your room to quickly change.
“What the hell is a priority one alert?” Tony blurted out the moment you left the room.
“Watch your language,” Steve scolded, shaking his head.
“Yeah, that’s not even a thing, sestra,” Natasha added, crossing her arms.
“It’s the thing FRIDAY says when you’re planning a surprise romantic getaway for your girlfriend. So zip it before you ruin the surprise!” Yelena shot back with a fierce whisper.
“Language, Belova,” Steve reiterated.
“Oh, shove it, Captain goody-two-shoes!” Yelena retorted.
“That's so sweet,” Wanda gushed, a warm smile spreading across her face. “Where are you two going?”
“That information is classified. Now, if you'll all excuse me, I need to get back to deceiving my significant other,” Yelena smirked, her smile mischievous as she slipped out.
*^~^*
You donned your suit, the familiar fabric hugging your form as you entered the elevator. As it descended to ground level, a lump formed in your throat. Being an Avenger was a privilege you cherished, and the thrill of fighting for good filled you with purpose, but today’s call to action felt incredibly unfair. You had waited so long to reconnect with Yelena. Instead, you were reminded that sometimes duty meant sacrifice. You reassured yourself that she would be right there with you, but this wasn’t quite the peaceful reunion you had in mind.
As you stepped into the expansive hangar, your footsteps echoed off the metal walls. To your surprise, Yelena was already there, conversing with Maria. The two paused mid-sentence as they noticed your approach.
Maria’s expression softened, “I’m really sorry. I know you've just reunited, and I tried to find someone else for this mission, but—”
Don't worry about it,” you cut in, shifting into work mode. “What do we have?”
“We got intel early this morning about a hidden, high-tech Hydra base on the Hawaiian island of Kauai,” Maria said, her fingers flying over her tablet.
Yelena’s brows furrowed, “Operational or deserted?”
Maria swiped through images of the island, revealing lush greenery that concealed secrets. “It’s hard to tell. The dense foliage could be hiding anything from advanced weaponry to high-ranking Hydra officials.”
“What’s the ultimate objective?” you asked, your mind racing through the possibilities.
“Reconnaissance first,” Maria explained, her tone focused. “Then we disrupt any illicit activities on the ground.”
You nodded, determination setting in. “I’ll prep the Quinjet.”
“Got it; I’ll be right behind you, Y/N,” Yelena said as you headed up the ramp.
Once you were aboard, Yelena turned back to Maria, a playful grin spreading across her face. “I have to say, I’m impressed. That was some top-notch acting.”
Maria smirked. “You flatter me,” she said, playfully placing a hand on the blonde’s shoulder. “I cleared you two for the week, so just make sure you don’t waste it.”
“Oh, don't worry, we won’t,” Yelena replied with a cheeky wink before boarding the Quinjet.
The brunette let out a sigh, rolling her eyes. “You owe me one!” she shouted.
Yelena, undeterred, shot Maria a confident thumbs up. “We’re both doing a really good job!” she proclaimed, the aircraft’s engines roaring to life as you prepared for take-off.
A few minutes into the flight, you engaged the Quinjet’s autopilot, sinking back into the soft leather of your seat with a heavy sigh. You would never admit it, but Yelena wasn't the only one who was tired. Recruit training had exhausted you to no end. You closed your eyes, hoping for just a brief moment of respite. But, when you finally opened them again, Yelena was in the co-pilot seat beside you. Her fingers danced over the controls.
“What’s going on?” you murmured, still half-dreaming as your brain struggled to catch up.
“We’re prepared to land,” Yelena replied, a hint of amusement in her voice.
“Already?” you exclaimed, rubbing the sleep from your eyes with disbelief.
The blonde's laughter filled the cockpit like sunlight breaking through clouds. “It’s been four hours, detka.”
The shock of your delayed awareness hits you like a jolt of caffeine. “What?” you shouted, your heart racing. “Four hours?! Why didn't you wake me?”
Yelena turned to you, her expression playful yet sincere. “You were sleeping so soundly. I didn't want to interrupt,” she explained, her tone teasing but warm.
“Oh my God,” you groaned, exasperating, running a hand down your face. “I’m carrying our bags to the safe house. No arguments!”
“Whatever you say, sweetheart,” Yelena replied with a knowing smile.
*^~^*
As the Quinjet touched down, you dashed toward the back, seizing the bags before Yelena could snag them. Sticking your tongue out at her in playful defiance.
The blonde chuckled at your bullishness. “Great, you’ve got the bags. Now, let’s get a move on,” she said, rolling her eyes affectionately.
With a soft whir, the ramp opened, revealing a breathtaking tapestry of Kauai's vibrant foliage bathed in dappled sunlight. The air was fragrant with tropical flowers, and a gentle breeze whispered through the leaves.
“Need a hand with those?” Yelena offered, squinting slightly as she observed how you juggled the bags while maneuvering down the ramp.
“Not a chance,” you declared confidently, your stubbornness radiating like a beacon.
“Upryamyy kak mul (stubborn as a mule),” Yelena murmured.
“What?” you asked, your brow furrowing in confusion.
She flashed you a playful smirk, the sunlight catching her features perfectly. “Oh, nothing, detka,” she said.
You walked what felt like miles—each step punctuated by the soft crunch of leaves and twigs beneath your feet—following Yelena through the dense Hawaiian jungle. Vines hung like twisted ropes from towering trees, and exotic birds flitted overhead, their calls echoing through the thick canopy.
After an eternity of navigating the seemingly endless green maze, you finally halted, letting the bags drop to the ground with a dramatic huff. You surveyed the landscape, each tree identical to the last, and turned to Yelena, “Are we lost?”
“No, trust me, the safe house is just a little farther this way,” Yelena insisted, striding confidently ahead.
You sighed and hoisted the bags back up, stacking them precariously. They were blocking your view, forcing you to stumble through the clearing, following the sound of Yelena’s voice.
“This way, Y/N! Come on!” came her cheerful call.
“I’m not a dog, you know,” you shot back sarcastically.
After a few more steps, you heard her say, “We’re here!”
“Finally,” you breathed, relief flooding you as you let the bags drop at your feet.
You had half-expected a rickety little shack, but what greeted you was a stunning retreat between the lush green mountains and the breathtaking valleys of Kauai's north shore. The place was nothing short of a modern Hawaiian estate.
“Woah,” you breathed, wide-eyed. “What is this?” Your gaze shifted between Yelena and the magnificent estate; disbelief etched on your face.
“This,” Yelena said, her hands gently framing your face, “is our vacation!”
“What?” Your mind whirled as you processed her words.
“Surprise, malyshka!” Yelena exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
“No mission? No Hydra base?” you asked, each word tinged with confusion as reality settled in.
“Now you’re catching on!” she teased, tapping your cheek playfully. “All a clever ruse I came up with. Pretty ingenious, if I do say so myself.”
“But Maria—” you started, feeling the weight of your responsibilities.
“Was in on it,” Yelena finished smoothly, a knowing look in her eyes.
“What about the recruits? I can’t just abandon them,” anxiety creeping into your voice.
“I’ve already taken care of everything,” Yelena reassured you. “Natasha agreed to cover for you this week, and you’ll be back in time for their final evaluations.”
You stared at her, processing the news. The tension slowly ebbed away as the enormity of her gesture sunk in. Then, without thinking, you threw your arms around her, pulling her close and kissing her softly, gratitude pouring from every corner of your heart.
“I'm assuming this means I did well?” Yelena asked a hopeful glint in her eyes.
“You nailed it, babe,” you replied, your voice wavering with emotion.
“Do you want to go inside?” the blonde asked, her hand reaching out invitingly for yours.
You nodded eagerly, slipping your hand into hers, a thrill of anticipation racing through you.
As you crossed the threshold, a warm, welcoming ambiance enveloped you, perfectly embodying the essence of aloha. The interior was a stunning blend of traditional Hawaiian charm, sleek modern aesthetics, and innovative technology—timeless and cutting-edge.
“Wow,” you breathed, taking in the surroundings. “This place is amazing! Whose is it?”
“This is one of Stark’s properties. We get to enjoy it for the next seven days,” Yelena replied, her voice bouncing off the beautifully crafted stone walls.
“Aww, that’s so thoughtful of Tony,” you remarked, genuinely touched.
Yelena rubbed the back of her neck, a small smile spreading across her face. “Yeah, he doesn’t actually know we’re here. Maria coordinated the whole thing, so I guess I owe her a favor—probably for life.”
“I can only imagine,” you laughed, moving toward the expansive window. “Oh my God! Look at this view!”
You gasped as you peered at the breathtaking, private beach just steps from the back door, the turquoise waves lapping gently at the shore.
“Hmmm, I have a feeling we’re going to spend some time out there tonight,” Yelena said thoughtfully, pulling you closer into her embrace.
You smiled, a warm sense of excitement bubbling up inside you. “I like the sound of that,” you replied, wrapping your arms around her neck. “But I have to ask… what made you do all this?”
Yelena took a moment, her gaze steady as she searched for the right words. “I was away for so long, and you never questioned why I had to leave. You never doubted my mission to find those girls or my commitment to us. You never lost faith in me. I love you, Y/N, and I want you to feel that in every moment we share.”
“I love you, too, Yelena,” you replied, gently caressing her cheek. “I always understood you wouldn’t rest until you found every last one of them, and I knew you’d always find your way back to me. I can’t tell you how proud I am of the incredible woman you are.”
Unshed tears glimmered in the blonde’s eyes as she absorbed your heartfelt words. “Okay, that was really good,” she murmured, her voice trembling with emotion. She leaned in, her warmth enveloping you as her lips met yours in a sweet, tender kiss filled with unspoken promises.
*^~^*
You spent a blissful seven days with Yelena in your tropical Hawaiian paradise, enveloped by the breathtaking beauty of Kauai. Each day began with the sun rising over the ocean, casting golden hues across the sky, inspiring you to venture into the stunning natural landscape. You explored the island’s lush green trails, hiking through dense forests filled with chirping birds and rustling leaves, feeling invigorated by the fresh, salty air.
You spent adventurous days catching waves together as you surfed, the rush of the ocean exhilarating and bonding. You laughed and encouraged each other as you paddled out and rode the swells, the sun warming your skin and the surf splashing around you. You kayaked along peaceful coastlines, marveling at the stunning cliffs and vibrant marine life beneath the shimmering waters, feeling your connection deepen with each shared experience.
Yelena especially found joy in the spacious, state-of-the-art kitchen. Every day became a culinary adventure as you experimented with fresh local ingredients, creating dishes that satisfied your appetites and made you appreciate your time together even more. The adjacent dining area was a picture-perfect setting, boasting panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and the colors of sunset painted a backdrop that made every meal feel special.
In the afternoons, you indulged in relaxation by the infinity-edge swimming pool, which seemed to blend seamlessly into the endless blue of the ocean. The soothing sounds of water surrounded you as you floated, enjoying each moment of tranquility. When the sun begins to set, you often unwind in the adjacent hot tub, soaking away the day's adventures while sharing stories and laughter.
Evenings turned into cozy movie nights in Tony’s high-tech theater and game room, where you made a ritual of watching classic films and trying to beat each other’s high scores on his collection of arcade games. The allure of competition fueled your playful banter.
When the week ended and you packed to return home, a bittersweet feeling washed over you. You both knew that this lavish escape was exactly what you needed amid the chaos of your lives as Avengers. It was a retreat that rejuvenated not just your bodies but also your spirits. You were confident that the challenges that awaited you back in the real world would be met with a newfound strength—a bolstered bond, a deeper understanding, and an enduring love that would make everything worthwhile. You couldn’t imagine life any other way.
As you took a final glance around the place, you leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on Yelena’s cheek, an amused smirk playing on your lips. “You realize you could have just told me about the vacation, right? Could have saved all this hassle?”
“Ah, but where’s the thrill in that?” Yelena teased with a playful wink.
