"Where'd you learn how to do this?" "Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire. Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto. So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name." "Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving." "Oh, I'm starting this sucker. Harrington's got her. Don't ya, big boy?"

OMG, this chapter was absolutely HILARIOUS and SO f**king hot..DAMN!!! 🥵
Max and Liam shared a look and Riley squealed when she saw their linked hands. “Ahhh! So what does this mean?!”
“God, Riley.. Give them a minute to actually speak!” Drake chuckled.
“Sorry! I’m just so excited!” She mimicked zipping her lips shut and sat on the bed.
Any other reaction from Riley would have been disappointing, lol.
Liam gave him a cheeky grin. “You’ve imagined handcuffing me before?”
“Only like a million times.” Max shrugged, eliciting a deep laugh from Liam. “You never thought about tying me up, Liam?” Maxwell leaned down, speaking into his ear. “Having me completely at your mercy.. Doing whatever you want to me?” He nipped at Liam’s earlobe and Liam tried to catch Maxwell’s lips for a kiss, but he pulled away playfully.
Okay, that whole scene.. just.. holy shit!! 🥵🥵🥵 I’m sorry, I can’t even express my thoughts in coherent sentences, lol.
Riley burst into the room cheerfully, “How are those cuffs working?! OH SHIT sorry!” Riley turned away, fleeing the bedroom, leaving Liam and Maxwell flushed.
LMFAO!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂 They were working pretty well until you came in, Riley.. 🤭😂
“So.. you knew I was bi? And you didn’t care?”
“Liam, honey. Of course I knew.”
“Really?!” Liam was shocked. “Since when?”
Eleanor laughed. “Since you were, oh, fourteen and I saw you ogling your very.. well endowed karate instructor!”
This took me out! 😂😂😂 I absolutely love Eleanor! 🥰
Liam and Max went to Leo’s room to tell him they were dating and Leo was confused, saying he thought they were already together. He said the same thing that Drake said, “About time.”
I love how everyone already knew and the only people they were fooling over the years were themselves, lol.
“You know what this pie needs?” Max grinned as he held out a can of whip cream from the refrigerator. Instead of putting it on the pie, he put a dollop on his finger before turning Liam’s head to the side and wiping it on his neck. He slowly ran his tongue over it, sucking the cool dessert off of his skin, his warm breath causing Liam to shiver.
During the whole kitchen scene I kept thinking “Are you guys purposefully trying to get caught? 🤔 Then again, who cares!? This is hot AF”, lol.
Max opened the fridge to put the whipped cream back, but Liam stilled his hand.
“No. Bring that with you.”
Tumblr media
Oh, yeah.. 😏 (even if that particular bit happened “off-screen”, lol)
Still, this GIF was basically me during THAT entire scene, lol.
well, that, plus *some* giggling.. I just can’t help myself, lol. 😅
Max leaned over the side of the bed to grab the handcuff keys, the sheet completely slipping off of him. Liam groaned, checking out his ass, “Oh god, please stay like that. No wait, uncuff me and bend over like that again.”
🤭🤭🤭
“What the fuck is going on here?!”
Oh, boy. Imagine walking in on them in that particular situation, lol. 🤭 But dang, this is gonna be rough..

“i had so much fun this weekend. thank you for everything.” you smiled as stefan carried your bags into your house.
“i’m glad you had fun. maybe we can do this again? for a whole week next time?” stefan suggested.
“don’t bet on it,” you chuckled.
stefan set your bags down in your kitchen, facing you with a frown. you tilted your head, walking over to him with confusion written all over your face.
“what’s the matter?”
“i just don’t want to say goodbye,” he sighed.
“me neither, but, we have to. i’m back home now. i have to get back to my normal life.”
“last weekend could be your normal life.” he took your hands into his, moving close to where there was no space between you two.
“that can’t happen,” you shook your head.
“it can. you know it can, you’re just not allowing it to happen.”
you opened your mouth to speak, but your words got caught in your throat.
“chase, he’s home. hide!” you whispered.
stefan ran upstairs, allowing you to situated. you ran to the kitchen counter and sprayed fabreez around the house to hide stefan’s scent. you got back into the kitchen right in time for chase to open the door.
“baby, you’re home!” he smiled.
you couldn’t help but smile back. “i’ve missed you, too.”
“how was indiana?” he set his bags down, practically running over to you and engulfing you into a hug.
“it was… amazing,” you breathed out.
“really? i heard indiana was boring and full of corn fields,” he pulled away.
“you just gotta be there with the right people,” you shrugged.
“i guess so. how long have you been home?”
“i just got home,” you said. “oh, are you tired?” he asked.
“eh,” you shrugged. “you’re never tired. man, i wish i had your energy,” he chuckled.
“you’re the same age as me,” you chuckled.
he’s definitely 64 years old, you heard stefan from upstairs.
you laughed out loud, slapping your hand over your mouth and looking at chase.
“what’s so funny?” he asked. “um, nothing! just um… you are so unusually happy, no offense. what is up?” you asked.
you were a little worried about his attitude. he seemed so excited and alive, so much more happier than he usually was, even on his best days. you hoped he didn’t know about you and stefan and wasn’t acting like this to get back at you.
“gee, thanks,” he rolled his eyes. “but if you must know, we just made half a million dollars!”
your jaw dropped in amazement. you were relieved that he had an actual reason to be overjoyed. now you had a reason to be overjoyed, too.
“w-wow, oh, my god! that’s amazing, chase! oh, i’m so proud of you!” you squealed, jumping up in excitement and hugging him.
“thank you. i-i know, i can’t believe it myself. it was all rodney, though. he really sold the deal.”
“well, you’re the one who came up with the pitch,” you said.
“true,” he chuckled. “anyways, we’re gonna be rich!”
“well, you’re going to be rich.”
“no, baby, we. i’ll save some of the money for you get into medical school and —”
“o-okay, okay, um, just slow down.”
“what? i thought you said you wanted to go to med school?”
“i do, i do, i just… let’s just focus on the now, okay?” you gave him a small smile.
you looked into his eyes, putting your hands on his shoulders to keep him still.
“forget what i said about medical school. i never said i wanted to go.”
he blinked a few times and smiled away. “wanna have dinner tonight with marcy and gabe to celebrate?”
“yeah, that’d be great.”
“great. i’m gonna go and celebrate with a few friends before.”
“okay,” you nodded.
“i love you.” he pecked your lips.
“i love you, too,” you smiled, watching him leave your house.
as soon as he shut the door, you ran upstairs, finding stefan snooping around your bedroom.
“anything peak your interest?” you asked, leaning against the doorframe.
stefan turned to you, setting the picture he was looking at down.
“i heard the good news. good for chase.”
“thank you. i’m very proud of him.”
“and you should be. half a million is good money.”
“it is.”
“you’re not gonna stay with him so you can steal his money?” stefan smirked. you rolled your eyes, grabbing a pillow and hitting him with it.
“so, is this you and ryan?” stefan pointed to the picture he was looking at.
you walked over, picking up the photograph with a melancholy smile.
“yeah, that’s ry and i.”
“i thought you said you don’t discuss past relationships with present ones.”
“oh, well, i told chase this is my brother.”
“he believed that?”
“well, i do have a brother. o-or did,” you swallowed harshly.
“oh, i’m sorry,” stefan frowned. “ah, it’s alright. he was a human, so it was his time.” you set the photo down.
“anyways, i gotta get ready for dinner.”
“i’m sure you could spare a few moments.”
“for what?” you asked.
stefan snaked his hand around your waist, pulling you flush against him with an ‘hmph’.
“we’re in my house. this is where chase and i sleep,” you whispered.
“sleep or sleep?” stefan asked. “both,” you said.
“you told me he’s never made you never made you feel good in this bed. wouldn’t you hate to leave this bed someday without feeling good in it?” he asked.
you couldn’t deny how hot you felt. your body temperature, your mind running crazy, the heartbeat you felt just below your the waistband of your underwear. it was wrong, though, to have sex in your boyfriend’s bed. you knew you owed him that much respect. but stefan was also right. it would be a shame to leave that bed without you being able to feel good in it. maybe just this once…
“or we can go back to my place and —”
you crashed your lips onto his, taking your hands and pushing him on your bed. you took ahold of the back of his shirt, ripping it open and tossing it onto the floor.
“i liked that shirt!” he pulled away, laughing as it landed on the ground.
“i’ll buy you a new one, promise.” you dove your head down to his neck, planting wet and hot kissing on his skin.
he sighed contently, laying down in the pillows with his hands on your waist, your fingertips crawling up your shirt.
“i’m holding you to that.”
————
“y/n tells me that you two had the time of your life,” chase said.
“yeah, we did.” marcy gave you a tight smile.
you sighed, turning your attention back onto your food. you played with your food, your appetite getting smaller and smaller as the conversation between chase and marcy continued.
“i’m surprised you had time to do anything fun. it was a business trip, right?” chase asked.
“well, you know me, i love to mix business with pleasure,” marcy chuckled.
“i totally understand. you know, i don’t know if y/n told you, but rodney and i are about to make a half a million.”
“wow! that’s great!” marcy exclaimed. “good job, man,” gabe clapped chase on the back.
“thank you. i know, it’s wild. after ten years, we are finally getting what we deserve.”
“we are so proud,” marcy smiled. “yeah, i am, too,” chase smiled.
“what about you, y/n? what do you think about half a million?” gabe asked.
“i-i think it’s great, yeah,” you nodded. “really? you don’t seem like you’re that excited,” marcy frowned.
“i am,” you glared at her. “she was real excited when i first told her. she’s probably just tired. you took a nap before we left, right?” chase looked at you.
“yeah, i’m just tired,” you confirmed. “i bet this wine isn’t helping. do you want some coffee? i can get you some coffee,” chase asked.
“no, i’m fine. i’ll just…” your mouth hung open as you saw stefan from across the room.
“what’s wrong, sweetheart?” chase nudged your foot.
“nothing. i’m just… tired, you know,” you said, looking down at your plate again.
you ignored stefan for the whole night, trying to seem more alive as you conversed. you and chase finally went home at one in the morning.
“that was great food,” chase said.
“it was,” you nodded. “it was nice seeing gabe. we need to hang out more. you think he would mind?” chase asked.
“probably not,” you shook your head.
“hey, are you okay? you’ve been so absentminded ever since you got home.”
“it was just nice being somewhere else for a while,” you shrugged.
“well, we could move. you know, the guys who we pitched to base in indiana. working there would be a lot more convenient,” he said.
“no, no, i love california. i just mean that i like vacations.”
“well, we can go on more, if you'd like. i definitely would like that,” chase turned to you and smiled.
you gave him a smile back, your mind running wild with guilt and fear. you didn’t sleep well that night. you tossed and turned, regret filling your thoughts no matter what you tried to think about. the horrible feeling of being a cheater was weighing on you. you wished you had ended it that night stefan first came to see you. you wished you told chase the truth when you had gotten home. you wished you hadn’t slept with stefan in this bed. shame was crawling all over you, getting under your skin and into your blood stream, into your brain and haunting you. you had to get out.
you got up from your bed, changing out of your pajamas and into yoga pants and a jacket. you grabbed a pair of headphones and your walkman, going into the night for a walk.
“stupid, stupid, stupid,” you muttered. “what was i thinking! cheating on chase, who doesn’t deserve that, all because of some guy who technically ruined my life 64 years ago? sixty-for— my god, y/n, you are so stupid.”
you sighed, stuffing your hands into your pockets. “but he’s not just some guy,” you admitted to yourself.
you breathed in the cold, crisp air, hoping it would help clear your mind make a few hard decisions. the way you saw it, you had three choices. you either compel chase and tell him you two never had a relationship, break up with him and tell him the truth without any mind compulsion, or continue your little affair until chase finds stefan fucking you in your house. obviously, the second option was ideal, but you were afraid. you were afraid of being seen as someone who you never thought you could be. you were afraid of admitting to your choices and owning up to the person you had become. you had to do it one day, though.
you just wished you had met stefan before chase, or after chase. but things weren’t that simple, and they had never been for you. even as easy as your life seemed, with being a vampire and all, the universe still had a few tricks up its sleeve. you just didn’t know how to tell chase the truth.
“what are you doing here so late?”
you whipped your head around to face stefan. “out for a walk.”
“at four in the morning?” he asked. “yeah, what’s it to you?” you glared.
“hey, what’s wrong?” stefan asked, approaching you, but you stepped back.
“no, you stay away,” you demanded.
“why? d-did i do something wrong?” he asked.
“yeah,” you nodded. “what?” he asked. “everything!” you exclaimed, exasperated.
“you need to be more specific than that, sweetheart,” he said.
“don’t call me that! i-i’m not your sweetheart,” you said.
“what is going on with you?” he asked, starting to get irritated.
“w-we can’t see each other anymore, okay?” you answered. “what do you mean?” he asked.
“are you deaf or something? i said, we can’t see each other anymore.”
“where’d you get that idea?”
“i have a boyfriend, a life without you that you just crashed and walked all over! you are ruining my relationship.”
“the relationship that isn’t going anywhere?” he scoffed.
you balled your fists in your pockets. “in case you hadn’t heard, chase just made big money, meaning we could move anywhere we wanted or do whatever we wanted!”
“you can do that with me!”
“it’s not right! this isn't right!” you yelled.  “you didn't seem to think that this past weekend! o-or yesterday when we fucked in your bed!”
your mouth clamped shut at once. tears clouded your eyes and you screamed in anger. “just leave me alone!”
“are we seriously gonna do this again? you know how that ended,” he said.
“well, i know how wrong we are now.”
“u-us being wrong? really?” he laughed incredulously. “yes, really,” you nodded.
you turned on your heel, beginning to walk away. you needed to get as far away from him as possible.
“you finally realized that after we slept together a million times? after we had dinner, told each other our life stories, fell in love again?” he yelled.
“i was clouded by a fantasy,” you whipped back around. you stomped back up to him, getting up in his face. “and you were, too.”
“but that fantasy could be real,” he looked at you helplessly. he grabbed your hands, holding you close to him. “it was real. it-it was real to me, and i know it was real to you.”
you looked into his eyes, heart breaking at the tears that threatened to spill in them. he was begging you to stay, begging you to run away and leave chase and your family behind and start a new life with him. as good as that sounded, as much as you wanted a life with him, you both knew that that wasn’t the right way to achieve it.
“it was real for a weekend,” you admitted. “but not anymore.”
“then leave him,” he pleaded. “you’re not happy with him. you don’t love him.”
“i am happy with him and i do love him,” you glared at stefan.
“more than you love me?” he questioned.
you sighed, tears running down your cheeks. “i-i can’t break his heart.”
“so you’re going to break yours?”
“my heart would break either way,” you argued. “it could break less if you stayed with me,” he stated.
you knew he was right. of course he was right. you were already one foot out the door with chase. why not just end it all later that day?
“how do i tell him?” you whispered, voice hoarse and heavy.
“just tell him the truth. spare some details, but tell him the truth. he deserves that much.”
you nodded, sniffling as snot began to run down your lip. you laughed awkwardly, wiping your nose with your sleeve. stefan smiled at you, looking at you like you were his whole world as he wiped your tears away. and you were. you were his whole world.
“i’ll tell him tonight,” you nodded. “you’re gonna wait the whole day?” stefan frowned.
“i have to prepare,” you rolled your eyes. “no one can prepare for this,” stefan said sadly.
“yeah,” you nodded.
“hey,” stefan said softly. “you’re gonna do great.”
“thanks,” you rolled your eyes with a smile.  “i’ll be right there waiting for you,” he said. “don’t let chase see you. he might try and kill you,” you said.
“i’d like to see him try.”
you laughed, wiping your nose again. “alright. well, i’ll see you later.”
stefan nodded, bringing his lips to your forehead. “i love you.”
“i love you,” you hummed.
————
“did you sleep okay?” chase asked.
“meh,” you shrugged. “yeah, you were tossing around a lot. did you have bad dreams?” he asked.
“yep,” you sighed.
“maybe you can take a nap later. we can take one together, i’m tired, too.”
“that would be nice,” you smiled.
he smiled back at you, pouring himself a cup of coffee. he poured you one, handing you the mug.
“thank you,” you hummed, sipping on the hot liquid.
“what are you doing today?” he asked.
“maybe go to the supermarket,” you said. “if you end up going, can you get some more cereal?” he asked.
you nodded, “will do.”
you eyed him nervously as he read the newspaper. you knew you said you would wait until tonight, but you were afraid you wouldn’t be able to do that. you didn’t want to ruin his morning, though, but you knew you would end up ruining his night. there was no winning for you either way.
“hey, chase?” you said, your voice getting higher with nerves.
“mm?” he hummed, not taking his eyes off the paper.
“i have something i want to talk to you about. can you uh, put the paper down, please?” you requested.
he set the newspaper down, turning to you in curiosity. “what’s up?”
“um, well… i-i have something i need to tell you. something that i’ve been meaning to tell you for a little while now.” you started to fumble with your fingers, not being able to meet his eyes.
“hey, you can tell me anything. don’t be so nervous.” he put his hand on yours, giving you what was supposed to be comforting squeeze, but it made you even more anxious.
“just promise me you won’t tell at me right away,” you said, looking him in the eye.
worry clouded his features at once. he gulped hardly, nodding in reply.
“this weekend… i um… i —”
the phone started to ring.
“let me get that,” chase said, getting up.
you sighed in relief, glad you had a few more moments to prepare. the phone call lasted for five minutes, giving you gently of time to work up a speech. you decided to not tell him the whole truth until tonight, like you had originally planned. you would just compel him to forget you needed to talk to him.
“what were we talking about again?” chase asked after you compelled him.
“the supermarket,” you said. “ah, right. when are you going?” he asked.
“in an hour or so. i need to take a shower,” you said.
“alright. well, i have to head to the office and get some paperwork done. i didn’t realize how many papers i would be signing,” he chuckled.
“well, that’s the price you pay as a half-a-milliionare,” you grinned.
he smiled, “life has its blessings and curses. i’ll see you later.” he leaned over to you, pecking your lips.
you got up, deepening the kiss by placing your hand behind his head, digging your fingers into his black hair. he smiled into the kiss, wrapping his hands around your waist and pulling your closer.
despite the process of falling out of love with him, this kiss still made your stomach churn and heart sing. you knew it would hurt like no other tonight.
you pulled away, eyes fluttering open. you were met with a big, surprised grin from chase.
“what was that for?” he asked.
“just wishing you good luck,” you shrugged. “well, you can definitely do that more often,” he smirked.
you giggled, “i’ll try.”
“bye, baby,” he waved at you on his way of leaving.
“bye,” you waved back.
he shut the door, leaving you to your own thoughts again. you made yourself busy by cleaning the house and doing the laundry. you went to the supermarket, buying ingredients for the dinner you were planning to make for him tonight.
you started to pack once you got home. you knew that once you broke the news that chase wouldn’t want you here. and although it was your house, you decided to spare him the stress of finding a place to stay for the next few nights. you even thought of just giving the house to him. it’s not like you were staying here. not in san diego, anyways.
you also took a nap before making dinner. you got much better sleep than you did the night before. your mind seemed to calm down and let you have a few hours of peace.
when you woke up, you immediately went to work. you put on your favorite radio station, singing along to the jackson 5 as you cooked.
chase came home right as you were setting the table. he was surprised, to say the least, when he smelled the savory aroma of chicken pot pie. his mouth started to water as soon as he opened the door, and even more as he laid eyes on you.
you had decided to dress up tonight. nothing better than saying goodbye in fashion, you supposed. you were wearing a green velvet dress with black heels. the dress was a body-con, hugging you in all the right places. the sleeves of the dress went across your chest, wrapping around your shoulders and revealing the top of your breasts. you looked ravishing with plum-colored lipstick and the inner corners of your eyes shinning with gold. this would be a hard image for chase to forget.
“welcome home, dear,” you smiled.
“h-hey, baby. wow, what is all this for?” he asked, walking into the kitchen.
“just wanted to do something a little special. i know i’ve been a little distant lately and well… i just felt like you deserve something,” you explained.
“thank you. it smells amazing,” he hugged you. he pulled away quickly, drinking in your gorgeous figure. “and you look… perfect.”
“oh,” you smiled bashfully. “are you hungry?”
“starving,” he nodded.
“go ahead and sit,” you said.
“i’ll go and change my clothes first. i look like i just woke up from a nap,” he chuckled. he started to walk to the stairs, but you grabbed his forearm, pulling him back.
“you look handsome, chase. take a seat and i’ll bring the food out,” you said.
“alright,” he nodded, a bashful smile on his face as he obeyed.
you went back to the kitchen, bringing the food out. chase got up and helped you, bringing out the salad you had just mixed and the wine glasses. the poured you two drinks as you got settled in your seat.
“dig in,” you urged.
“don’t mind if i do,” he chuckled. he took his fork, breaking the top of his pot pie. he took a bite, moaning in satisfaction. “this is amazing, babe.”
“glad you think so,” you smiled.
you ate very little. you were too nervous for what you were about to tell him. you drank at least five glasses of wine, hoping it would relax your nerves, but it didn’t. you cursed your heightened tolerance of alcohol.
“dinner was great. thank you.” chase said as he finished the last bite of his salad.
“of course,” you nodded. you got up, grabbing the dirty plates. you made your way to the sink, beginning to wash them, but chase stepped in.
“here, let me. you’ve done so much already,” he said.
“thank you.”
he hummed in reply, placing a sweet kiss onto your temple before starting to wash. you went back to the table, grabbing everything but the wine glasses and setting them in the sink. you waited on the couch for him to be done. you turned on some music and lit some candles, creating the perfect ambiance for a romance night, something you were about to ruin in a good short moments.
“how was your day?” he asked once he sat down.
“boring. yours?” you asked.
“busy and boring. i’m glad to finally be home,” he sighed with a smile.
“i’m glad you’re home, too.” you looked at him, tears welling up in your eyes as you thought of your next words.
you wished — hoped — that this was a dream. that somehow, you had never met chase and had been with stefan all this time. or maybe you were already broken up with chase and had just begun to date stefan. you wanted a fantasy where you weren’t the bad guy.
“why are you crying? are you okay?” chase’s hand went up to your face, his thumb wiping your tears.
your hand grasped his and you began to sob. you couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“woah, what’s wrong, sweetheart?” he asked softly, putting his glass down and moving closer to you.
“i-i have to tell you something,” you cried.
chase gulped, an uneasy feeling settling in his chest. he looked at you worriedly. “what is it?”
you knew there was no way to sugar coat this, so you didn’t. you ripped off the band-aid right then and there.
“i’ve been cheating on you,” you sobbed. you didn’t dare to look him in the eye. not yet, not while he was still processing.
“i’ve been cheating on you with a-an old boyfriend. i didn’t go to indiana with marcy, i went to chicago with him. we spent the whole weekend together a-and i just… oh, i’m so sorry,” you wailed.
“it’s okay.”
your head shot up, your brows furrowing into the most flabbergasted look ever. “what?”
“i said it’s okay,” chase said. he sighed, “i know you’ve been seeing someone else.”
“oh,” you gasped, eyes widening. “h-how?”
“believe it or not, this hasn’t been the first time a girl has cheated on me.”
“oh, chase. i’m so sorry.”
he shrugged, “the luck i have.”
“when did you first find out?” you asked. you couldn’t help your curiosity.
“that phone call the first night you were there. you deflecting and you were so distracted. i knew for a fact something was up. i’ve known for a while now, actually, that night was just went i figured out. and well, i saw who you were looking at last night at dinner. that just confirmed my suspicions.”
“why didn’t you say anything before last night?”
he shrugged, smiling sadly. “i just wanted a couple of nice nights together.”
“that’s why you’ve been acting so happy,” you realized.
“yeah,” he chuckled.
“i-i… i don’t know what to —”
“it’s alright. i knew this wouldn’t last. i’ve been an asshole to you since the beginning. i’m not surprised this happened,” he sighed.
“no, no,” you shook your head. you held his hands in yours, scooting closer to him. “this had nothing to do with you or your behavior.”
“then why did you cheat on me?” he asked, tears of his own running down his face.
“i just love him more than i love you,” you admitted.
you both winced at your words, but you both were glad you said them. you were finally able to admit this fact out loud, and chase was thankful you didn’t sugarcoat it. you weren’t the type of person to do that, anyways. he was thankful for you being straight with him.
“you’ve known him for a long time?” chase asked.
“yeah. since um… since high school,” you said.
“what’s his name?”
“stefan.”
“how did you two meet again?”
“he found me.”
“have you always loved him?”
you looked into chase’s eyes, not wanting to answer this question. you didn’t want to hurt him any more, but you knew that was inevitable. so you nodded with a sigh, admitting shamefully.
“yes.”
“does he treat you well?”
“yeah,” you said with a little smile.
“does he make you dinner, buy you flowers, all that stuff?”
“yeah,” you nodded.
“you deserve that,” chase said. “i-i don’t,” you shook your head.
“you do. even though you’re a cheater.”
he looked at you, a little smile on his face. you couldn’t help but laugh, nodding in agreement.
“yeah. i am. i’m sorry, again.”
“did you ever think i was the one?” he asked.
“no.”
“do you think s-stefan is the one?”
your face lit up with a bright smile. you couldn’t help it. “i do.”
chase sighed, giving you a sad, polite smile. “i hope it works out then.”
he got up, gathering his coat and wallet. you ran up to him, stopping him.
“i’ve already packed my things. you can stay here until you find a place,” you said.
“thanks.” he put his stuff down.
you nodded, going upstairs and getting your suitcases. you went to the door, setting your things down and slipping out of your heels and into your sneakers. you turned to him before leaving, giving him the most sorry look you could.
“i’m sorry, chase. you deserve better. you will find the girl for you,” you said.
“i have a feeling the next one will be the one for me.”
you chuckled, “she will.” you opened the door, a little taken aback to see stefan standing there in a tux with a bouquet in his hands.
“is that him?” chase asked.
you nodded sheepishly. chase walked up to stefan.
“hey, man,” chase said.
“hi,” stefan gave him a polite smile.
without warning, chase punched stefan. your eyes widened and you gasped, but you didn’t stop him. stefan didn’t even seemed to be that affected.
chase stepped back, nursing his hand. he went back into the house, turning back to stefan before letting you leave.
“treat her right. don’t let a good thing get away.”
“i won’t,” stefan smiled at you.
“goodbye, chase,” you said softly.
“bye, y/n. i’ll let you know when i’ve found a place.”
“yeah, okay,” you nodded. tears slipped down your cheeks once more as you stepped out of your house.
chase slammed the door as soon as you got out. stefan helped you with your bags, packing them into your car. before you got into the car, stefan pulled you into a hug. he wrapped your arms around your shoulders, kissing the crown of your head. you exhaled deeply, burying your face into his chest and hugging him back.
“i love you, you know that,” he said.
“i don’t love myself very much right now,” you mumbled.
“you did the right thing tonight. he didn’t seem too upset. he only punched me.”
you chuckled, “yeah, that wasn’t terrible.”
“i deserved it,” stefan shrugged.
“i deserve a punch in the face, too,” you stated.
“how about some ice cream and a movie instead?” stefan suggested.
“you think i deserve ice cream?”
“just a movie, then? i’ll eat the ice cream.”
you smirked, opening the car door and getting into the driver’s seat. “save some for me when i feel less shitty?”
“of course,” he nodded, getting into the passenger seat. “i’ll even buy you a new pint.”

Smiles, tests and courage [6x13]
So, first things first:
Tumblr media
Was that the first time, we got to see Lena seeing Kara without her glasses?
Oh, boi... The episode... I had such a hard time, listening to the dialogue. And not (just) because of Supercorp. The cheesyness... the Power-Ranger-esque fights... Could they really not spare a second take on the civilians punching air and flailing?
But, I was having fun. A whole lot more fun since the rest of whole season so far combined.
Non-Supercorp-Highlights:
J'onn getting pummeled by that science lady and giving her a thumbs up for her efforts
Mitch said "zoinks" XD
Nyxly bashing ridiculous Mission Impossible plots
The things Nyxly does with her legs...
J'onn (again): "Hold that thought."
We've found a potential mate for Spike?
M'gann--.. ah, nevermind, she's still nowhere to be found.
not from the show, but someone on yt called Veeta "Mad Madam Mim" and I am still laughing
I also laughed at the science-babble, that a device that harvests lightning could create lighting - and that the project was oh-so-cleverly called "BOLT"
Kara is a horcrux now
...so glad, Lena's 'secret' didn't remain a secret for long!
Now, somehow Kara's test of courage, the moment she lacked courage most, was somehow her first outing as Supergirl. I can see that... But my shipper-heart wants to scream "And what about the million times she chickened out of telling Lena her secret!?" ...in that regard, I like the theory of someone else here, that Kara denied later when Winn assumed she was gay. And it would tie in with the creators claiming something Nyxly said was the clue of what Kara's test was about (Nyxly pointing out that Kara was happy that moment - which was the moment Kara was with Lena... and being honest / vulnerable with her, but happy non-the-less). But, yeah, that's just my gay heart speaking.
What else could be the "courage to be vulnerable" in that pilot scene?
Really, I'm asking.
It does start at the bar... what are we missing?
...I did not like retconning a cry for help into the pilot. But then, after Crisis, it could have happened, on Earth-Prime.

Totem rules: 1) Keep the order. 2) Find them. (shouldn't that be first? how can you keep the order if you don't know what and where they are?) 3) Activate with magic word. 4) Pass test. (Test will take a deep emotional, unpleasant toll.)
...soo, for every Totem, right? Including Love? Yes? Okay, just checking...
Tumblr media
Lena awkwardly crossing her arms in the med-bay, so she wouldn't reach out for Kara...
Ah...
Tumblr media Tumblr media

My. Heart!
Tumblr media
The Supercorp couch-scene was wholesome.
No wonder, our girl was happy! Is it bad, that I kept internally scolding at Lena "Get these shoes off that couch, gurl!" ...nice treads, tho. What’s with Supercorp and couches, tho.....
Best theory I have come across (twitter @gayluthxr): Nyxly falls for Lex (a Luthor) because she feels what Kara feels... for Lena (a Luthor). If that's that, then suddenly I am all for ship BaldImp!
Kara had been on edge and depressed the past few episodes (rightfully so, after the PZ), barely a laugh or real smile. Now, Lena's back and look at Little Miss Sunshine:
Tumblr media
🌞 Frown gone! Crinkle gets a break! (I was seriously worried, her crinkle would become permanent, but turns out, all she needed was her Lena.)
Yeah, and the acting and shooting / editing choices....
Tumblr media
...
Don't give me hope!
Tumblr media
Guess, we’ll have to wait and see...

Being A Singer Who Is Part Of The Marvel Cast
Pairing: Marvel Cast x reader
Prompt: What it’s like to be a singer who is also a Marvel actress.
Warnings: none! This isn’t really a teen!reader, but it can be!
Side note: I’m using Ari’s music, so just pretend you’re Ari or something😂😂 Should I write imagines about this?
Tumblr media
(Ya’ll already know I had to use my bby Ari😌)
(Gif from Pinterest)
Being a singer and joining the MCU was actually quite nerve wracking.
You weren’t sure if anyone would take you seriously and that everyone would just see you as some singer who got casted into the movie because you were well known.
In fact, Kevin Feige casted you because you represented the character you were auditioning for so well.
You remember your first day on set and how nervous you were to be surrounded by so many talented actors. You kept to yourself and sat by the sidelines while everyone reunited with each other.
I feel like Mark or Robert might come up to you first. They would probably approach you and be all like, “Hey! My kids listen to your music and I have to listen to your voice 24/7! It’s nice to finally meet you!”
Anthony would probably join in and be like, “Aye, I know you from the radio. You sing that one song that’s goes like, ‘I want it, I got it’. Right?”
After some introductions and filming scenes together, you’d feel comfortable with your new friends. Especially after some of them fangirled over you.
Tom (Holland) most definitely fangirled over you, I just feel it😂😂
A few years later they would become your most supportive and dedicated fans (and family).
They’re probably even more dedicated than your fans.
Whenever you drop a new single or a music video, expect them all to share it on every social media account they have.
Tom Hiddleston, who’s barely on social media, would come on just to promote your stuff.
@/ChrisEvans: Hey everyone! Just came to say that @yourtwitterhandle just dropped a new music video and you should all see it! You won’t regret it! Amazing as always @yourtwitterhandle 💙💙💙
@/RobertDowneyJr: The talented and oh so beautiful @yourtwitterhandle just released a music video for her new single! Go ahead and see for yourself to experience the greatness of (y/n)! I’m proud of you sweetheart!❤️
They would even share it on their Instagram stories and post about it because they’re so proud of you🥺
Sebastian and Tom (Holland) would probably post videos of them jamming to your song and yelling at people to listen to it.
Video: Sebastian with 34+35 blasting in the background, “GO LISTEN TO (Y/N)’S NEW ALBUM POSITIONS! DO IT! NOW!”
If you release an album while working on a Marvel movie, they would have little release parties with the whole cast and crew of the movie.
They will have a countdown on some projector and once it hits one everyone would scream and hug you. Then you guys would listen to the whole album with no stops.
When they see you writing in your journal during breaks on set, they would ask if you’re writing new songs.
Sometimes they would even help you brainstorm for lyrics or a concept for a song.
I feel like Evans would be really good at this because he’s good with words.
When they hear you humming something that doesn’t sound familiar they would ask you if it’s a new song.
Scarlett and Lizzie were always excited to hear your stuff.
“Oooo, is that a new song?”
“Come on, (y/n)! Can we get a little snippet please?”
“We promise to not leak it like last time!”
“Yeah! Neither Mark or Tom are here, you’re all good!”
Tom or Mark definitely leaked a few of your songs by accident. Not that they did it on purpose, they just recorded things at the wrong times.
When you sang they would always be quiet and just listen to your voice.
Whenever you hit a high note or sang something that was a bit sassy, there were always some reactions.
Chadwick would really listen to your stuff and just feel the music. When he’s done listening to a song, he would hug you and praise you on how good you did.
Anthony was always your hype man, whether you were singing or answering a question about your music, he will hype you up whenever he can.
“Mmm that’s right, sing it girl.”
“Damn, ya’ll heard that note?!”
“That’s right! Number 1 album in the world, baby. Get with it.”
“Ya’ll heard her right, five Grammy nominations. Gimme some.” He’d brag while fist bumping you.
Sometimes you would catch them singing one of your songs and you would feel all warm and giggly inside because it makes you happy that they enjoy your music.
When you guys aren’t filming and you’re off on tour, they would come to the shows that are in their city or whatever is nearest to them.
Sometimes you wouldn’t even expect them to be there and would be caught off guard while you’re singing.
For example, you were doing a show in New York and all of a sudden you see Paul Rudd just jamming to Thank U, Next in the pit.
“I know they say I move on too fast, but this one gon’ last. ‘Cause her name is— Paul?”
Whenever you guys are promoting new Marvel movies on morning/late night shows, you were always the musical guest.
They were always excited to see you perform. They loved to see you in your element because you always looked like you were having fun and so free. You always stunned them with your talent.
They could never wrap their heads around how you could sing and dance while having so much energy on stage, it truly boggled with their minds.
When they were asked about your music career, they would always say good things because it was true.
RDJ: “She’s just so talented. Like at such a young age, she’s accomplished so much! She’s writing music, releasing album after album, and on top of that she’s working on these films with us! I’m proud of her and proud to say that she’s part of this little family we have. We’re very blessed to have her.”
Brie Larson: “I wish I was like her at that age. I’m so proud of her, she’s a young woman just doing what she loves and not letting people stop her. I’m glad that young girls around the world have her to look up to. She’s going to do amazing things in the future.”
Evans: “Man, have you heard her new album? She really went all in on that one. You know, we’ve seen her grow up into the woman she is today, and you could hear that in her music. I’m glad that we got to experience that and have some kind of part in the legacy she’s building. I hope this means we get to have a musical now.”
Mackie: “That’s our little birdie. Yeah— we call her birdie cause she’s always singing or humming something. You could never have her or Evans together on set, they just burst out singing some random song and everything becomes a musical. No, but in all seriousness, she’s special. The talent she has, you can’t find that in everyone. She’s one in a million.”
They would be so proud of you when you finally win a Grammy or other awards for your music.
There would be videos of them reacting to the moment your name is called for awards like, Album of the Year or Artist of the Year.
When you guys have karaoke night, everyone would fight for you to be on their team.
You could’ve been your own team, but there was no fun in that.
You were like the last donut with red, white, and blue sprinkles (If you know where that’s from, I love u)
“Robert, she was on your team last time! You can’t have her twice!”
“Watch me, Evans.”
“Ayo! Hold up! Sebastian and I barely get to have (y/n) on our team!”
“You boys are childish! (Y/n)’s going to be on my team with Brie and Lizzie.”
Being part of the Marvel family was one of the many things you were grateful for in your career.
They gave you so much love and support as if they were your real family and you loved them all so much.
Even when their times with Marvel were done, they would still be there to support you no matter what, because they were your number one fans.

You Just Wait
Tumblr media
gif is from @twilightofficial
A/N: The hardest part of writing a fic is honestly choosing the love interest XD I have so many fictional boyfriends it’s hard to choose just one. I have noticed a significant lack of Jared Cameron content and he’s super adorable so here it is! Also, I left the concept a little bit more vague so more people can relate to it. It doesn’t specifically say vaginismus, it’s more of a general “sex doesn’t normally go well for me” type thing.
Bottomless, covered in chocolate sauce, walking through the woods, phone dead, in the middle of August on a weekday. How did you end up here? Jared Cameron. Your boyfriend. He had roped you in to an elaborate prank on Paul that hadn’t exactly gone as planned. Needless to say, you were desperate for a shower and a nap. A hot meal wouldn’t hurt. And you were beyond irritated, not even looking Jared’s way as he walked next to you in a similar state.
“Babe, if you let me carry you, we’ll get home way faster,” he whined.
You didn’t respond, only walking with more frustration around the roots and fallen trees. It was growing dark, just about twilight, and you knew you wouldn’t be reaching either of your houses at this rate. You were miles into the forest. But your pride kept you from accepting Jared’s wolfy-back ride, because he tended to make lots of jokes about being between your legs and you riding him and blah blah blah, and you honestly might punch him right now if he did that.
So you just kept ignoring him, arms folded tightly against your chest because, yes, it was August, but this was also the Washington coast. It got pretty chilly no matter what time of year it was.
“I can see you shivering from here,” he pleaded, almost sounding in pain at the thought of you being uncomfortable. “It’s only gonna get colder. Let me help you.”
You ignored him.
“C’mooonnnnnn,” he cried. His preferred way of cracking your silence was usually by annoying you out of it, and it was working. “C’mon, c’mon, c’mon c’mon c’mon c’mon c’m-”
“Jared, I swear to God!”
“Aha! She speaks!” he laughed.
“”Only to tell you to be quiet, or I’ll-”
“Or you’ll what?” he cut you off. “I’m way stronger than you!” He was teasing you into talking to him. Even if it was in the form of arguing. Damn, he always got you to crack. You stopped walking, turning to face him, arms still held tightly around yourself. You couldn’t resist a good bicker, and Jared knew that. He would get the sass to come out, and then once you got tired, he’d apologize and you’d be made up within half an hour. That’s what always happened. And you couldn’t exactly stay mad at those big brown puppy eyes for long.
“Physically, maybe,” you chided, “but I’m definitely way smarter than you.”
He stepped closer to you, a playful smirk on his face. “What, are you gonna read me to death or something?”
“I’m gonna strategize a huge plan, manipulate you, and leave you here in the forest by yourself. That’s what I’m gonna do,” you sassed. He never took arguments to heart, which is one thing you loved about him. He knew how grumpy you could get and would let you vent, and then make you forget all about the problem.
“Oh, okay, yeah sure,” he giggled, hands going up in defense. “I’m just saying that in this situation, there is no way you come out on top. You run, I catch you. You hide, I sniff you out,” he teased. This made you crack an almost imperceptible smile, but one he noticed nonetheless. “And if you did somehow manage to get away from me, you’d freeze to death in an hour flat.” The cold breeze that caused you to shiver more violently could not have had worse timing. Obviously, Jared noticed, and his face dropped. He approached you slowly, silently asking if you were still mad enough to not let him touch you. When you didn’t step back or stop him, he wrapped both his arms around you and brought you into a huge bear hug. You sighed at his warmth, wrapping your arms tightly around his torso. He’d given you his hoodie hours ago, and was left in only a pair of shorts, though he didn’t seem to notice. Damn him and his werewolf heat.
You still shivered in his arms, but his feverish temperature was a relief to your aching bones.
“See? Could’ve been warm hours ago,” he teased once again, noting your clinginess.
“Shut up. I’m still mad,” you mumbled into his neck. He laughed softly to himself, rubbing his hands up and down your body to create more heat. After a few minutes, you were starting to struggle to keep your eyes open. It had to be close to 2 in the morning, and you’d been walking for what felt like hours. Jared could have easily run home and let you brood alone, but he stuck with you no matter how long you went without speaking to him.
“Sleepy?” he murmured into your hair. You just nodded softly, and didn’t protest as he bent down, one hand going behind your knees and the other staying around your back. He picked you up with ease and started walking through the woods once more with an “Okay Princess, I got you.” His stride never faltered, easily avoiding tripping over roots or slipping on rain-soaked moss. He must have been walking for about 30 minutes, never so much as breathing hard or shifting you in his grip. You didn’t sleep, but welcomed the rest he allowed you. Your eyes were closed, head resting on his shoulder when you felt him stop. You looked up, and in the distance, maybe 50 yards away, you saw a small building.
“Hunter’s cabin, I’m guessing. No one’s home,” Jared stated, anticipating your questions.
“Think there’ll be blankets?” you wondered, tired, yet still playful.
“What, am I not enough for you?” he feigned mock hurt as you giggled at his unshakeable good attitude. Without another word, he began walking towards the small cabin, which was about the size of an average bedroom. When you reached the door, he set you down gently, holding his hands close to your waist while you found your footing, and then wrapping an arm over your shoulders to keep you warm.
“I’m assuming it’s locked,” you sighed, disappointed.
“Babe, no door is locked when you have super strength. Honestly, I thought you’d have more faith in me by now,” he smiled brightly.
“You can’t just go around kicking random people’s doors in!” you scolded.
“Okay, first of all, I can tell by the smell that no one’s been here in years. Second of all, how would anyone know it was us that broke in and not, like, a deer? And third of all, I’d say this counts as an emergency,” he sassed right back at you. You looked at him in annoyance, too tired and cold to actually care.
After a long sigh, you muttered “fine.”
He immediately turned to the door, not letting you so much as inhale before he slammed his foot into the space next to the knob, the door all but flying off its hinges. The whole scene caused deafening noise that interrupted the silence of the trees.
“Jesus!” you called out in surprise, a hand shooting up to your pounding heart. You look around, though knowing no one was around for miles. Jared only turned to look at you, a cheeky smile adorning his face, and said,
“See? Told ya.”
You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t help the loving and admiring energy that overcame you. Jared really was one in a million, and you were lucky to be by his side. He could be in the worst situation in the world and still find something to laugh about.
He motioned for you to go in first, ever the gentleman. Walking through the door, the first thing you noticed was the dust. The entire inside of the cabin was covered in a thick layer of it. There was a small, rickety couch with cushions so worn they had holes in them throughout. And the fabric… my God. It looked like something from the 60’s, an obnoxious floral that had faded over time, and now just looked flat out stained. There was a flimsy throw blanket over the back of the couch, a cooler in the corner of the room that was covered in dirt, and on the opposite wall, a fireplace! No wood, no matches, but it was there. The floor was scattered with bullet shells, receipts, and decayed leaves. It was obvious no one had been in here for at least 3 or 4 years.
“Okay, I can work with this,” Jared said. You really were jealous of his optimism. But, as disgusting as this place was, it beat the frigid breeze of outside, and had a place where you could rest your heads. You walked over to the couch, grabbing the blanket and beating the dust off of it. It was really only meant for one person, but you guys were okay with getting close. It would do.
Jared walked over to the opposite corner where the cooler sat by the fireplace and opened the lid, peeking inside.
“Just water,” he said, sounding almost disappointed.
“Were you really gonna eat whatever was in there?” you spoke incredulously.
“Babe, I’m starving. You have no idea how close I am to licking that chocolate sauce off of you,” he voiced. You had almost forgotten about the sticky sauce that covered both of your clothes. That prank really was a disaster. You looked down, face heating at the thought of Jared’s mouth on you like that, and turned to the fireplace where he stood. He was looking on the mantle, oblivious to the effect his comment had on you, and exclaimed “Aha!” before reaching up to grab something. “A lighter. We’re saved! Well, you are,” he laughed looking over at your shivering form once more. “Stay here and get comfy. I’m gonna go get some wood.”
You tried your best, sitting on the edge of the couch and immediately feeling a spring poking you in the butt. The couch really was tiny. You guys were gonna have to bundle up close to fit. The thought excited you. Sure, you and Jared had always been comfortable touching and holding each other, but there were certain areas of your relationship you had yet to explore. More… intimate areas. It was your fault mostly. To make a long story short, you’ve just never enjoyed sex. You found yourself not able to get aroused, which made things painful. Sure, you wanted to. You’d thought about it a ton. But in the moment, your head was so full of thoughts of ‘What if he thinks I’m ugly? What if I smell? Am I doing this right? Is he having a good time? Am I taking too long?’ that you just stopped trying. And obviously you wanted to have sex with Jared, but you were worried he’d be disappointed. By the time he got back, just a few minutes later, you had brought your knees up to your chest, holding your legs close in an effort to preserve warmth.
“Doing okay Sweetheart?” he asked gently. You gave a small smile and nodded in response. He plopped the logs in his arms down into the fireplace, scavenging the floor for receipts, dried leaves, anything that would catch fire. He dumped these into the fireplace and lit them, the fire catching within seconds. He walked over to the other side of the room where the couch was before bending down, grabbing the bottom lip of it, and pulling it (and you) across the floor, one-handed, and closer to the fire. “Better?” You had always been in awe of his strength. Let’s be honest, it was just plain sexy. Again, you just nodded your head, staring at him in adoration.
He sat beside you on the couch, throwing an arm over your shoulders again, and leaning back, taking you with him. You cuddled into his side, watching the fire.
“Ya know, if you take away the shitty couch and sticky clothes and add a few more blankets, this would actually be pretty nice,” he finally spoke.
You laughed softly, replying, “It would. The couch isn’t even awful, but these clothes are really ruining the mood for me.”
“Well why don’t you get out of ‘em, hot stuff?” he joked. You knew he wasn’t serious because you guys haven’t gotten that far yet, but something, maybe the exhaustion or the way he kept challenging you today, made you want to actually do it. Before you could lose your nerve, you reached down, pulling off the hoodie and shirt in one go and tossing them onto the floor. You relaxed back into his arms in just a bra, acting like nothing had happened. He was frozen beside you. Maybe it was mean, but you wanted to tease him a little. He’d put you through a lot today, so you wanted to mess with him a tiny bit. So, coolly, you brought a hand onto his thigh and began running it up and down, going higher and higher with each pass. He was still frozen, so you gave a light squeeze, and heard him inhale sharply, though he tried to hide it.
“I thought you were tired,” he commented.
“Guess I’m not anymore,” you responded, turning to face him boldly. He immediately leaned in to kiss you, softly as always. You reciprocated, bringing your other hand up to cup his face. His arm that was around your shoulders slipped down around your waist, pulling you in further. Jared had always been gentle when kissing you, so you knew you’d have to make the first move to deepen it. Which is exactly what you did. Running your hand up his head and grabbing his hair, you pulled him towards you even more and traced your tongue across his bottom lip. He responded by matching your energy, tongue slipping out to caress yours before bringing your bottom lip between his teeth and nibbling softly. You guys had never kissed like this before. You felt a bead of warmth pool in your abdomen, something you’d never felt with a guy before. Sure, you’d been turned on while watching certain videos or reading certain fanfiction by yourself, but you’d never actually experienced it with someone before. It was exciting. Maybe it was the knowledge that you could stop things at any time and he wouldn’t be upset, or maybe it was how in love with you he really was, but you didn’t feel nervous or worried. You felt comfortable.
Taking things a step further, you swung your leg over both of his, moving to straddle his lap.
He pulled away slightly at this, making you ask, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong,” he responded, “I just don’t wanna make you do anything you don’t wanna do.”
You smiled, “I’m not doing anything I don’t wanna do. Are you?”
“Are you seriously asking me that question right now?” He laughed, making you giggle along.
You leaned back in for another kiss, when he stopped you again. “What exactly… are we doing, though?” You knew what he was silently asking. Are we about to go all the way? And you didn’t know yet. This had started out as playful teasing, but now you were beginning to think that maybe you did want to try something. With Jared. He was it for you, the one you wanted to spend forever with. If you couldn’t trust him, you couldn’t trust anyone. And he’d taken such good care of you these last few hours, keeping you warm, making sure you were storming off in the right direction, that you knew he’d appreciate you in a more intimate sense.
“I- I kind of would like to try… some stuff,” you answered.
He looked at you, eyes wide, before answering, “What kind of stuff? I mean, I will do literally anything you ask me to do and you know that, but I didn’t really prepare for this. Like, I don’t… have what we need.” Oh, a condom. What a responsible boy.
“I’m on the pill,” you replied a little too quickly before looking down and fiddling with your hands. “If you want to.”
“Y/N, I would be absolutely fucking honored,” he breathed, before cupping your face and pulling you into the most heated kiss yet. Your tongues danced, hands wandering. Yours, across his muscled chest and abdomen, and his, down your waist and around to cup your pantsless ass, squeezing firmly. It felt nice. He handled you in a way that was gentle and painless, but still dominant and firm. And it made the heat in your belly grow. You continued kissing for several minutes, your hands moving up his neck and eventually landing in his hair once more, and his remaining on your ass and waist. You softly sucked at his lower lip, nibbling slightly, and it made him let out a low growl and pull your hips forward onto his, where you felt something hard push against you. You knew what it was, and it didn’t scare you like it normally would. You did, however, feel your damp underwear. Shit, that’s never happened before. You were normally bone dry at this point. You let out a soft sigh, grinding your hips onto him once more.
He softened his kisses slightly, bringing a hand around to your stomach and running his knuckles lightly across your lower abdomen.
“Can I?” He questioned delicately.
“Yes,” you replied almost immediately. He brought his hand under the waistband of your underwear, when you said, “Wait,” and he stopped. “Just one thing. I kind of… have never been able to do this without it hurting a lot, so maybe you could just try to be gentle?”
“Oh, baby, you’ve been in pain before? I’m so sorry,” he whispered genuinely.
“It’s okay, I just…” It was now or never. He should know. “Normally I’m super nervous about everything, so I can’t really… get into it, and when girls aren’t into it it’s kind of… dry? And that makes it kind of hurt really bad.” You faded out at the end, feeling embarrassed. He brought his hand out of your underwear and up to your chin, tilting your face up to look him in the eye, looking concerned. “But I’m into this, I mean, right now. I’m excited. I just thought I should warn you,” you awkwardly laughed at the end.
“You promise? Because you know that if you want to stop we will, and I would never be upset or pressure or anything like that,” he spoke sweetly, making your heart flutter. And you did know that, which is why you felt comfortable. Every other time, you felt that if you went past a certain point, you couldn’t say stop. Couldn’t call it off without making whatever guy you were with super mad and then… who knows what would happen. But when Jared spoke those words, you believed him.
“I promise. And I know you’ll stop. But I don’t want you to.”
With this, he scanned your face one more time for any signs of hesitation, and when he found none, brought you down into another heated kiss. You felt his hand trail from your chin down to your breasts, skimming over your bra, down your stomach and once again to the waistband of your underwear. Only this time he didn’t go under. He stayed on top of the fabric and brought his hand down between your legs, index finger brushing lightly against your core. You barely felt it, and began to worry that you’d once again feel numb. Oftentimes, when guys would touch you or go down on you, you felt nothing. It was like you were broken or something. And you started to become concerned that tonight would be no different.
But he brought his finger down again, repeating the same movement, only with significantly more pressure this time, and it had you release an involuntary sigh. And instead of removing his finger like he had the first time, he kept it over your clit, drawing firm circles.
Your mouth dropped open in a silent moan, Jared staring intently at your face.
“Oh, wow,” you finally breathed.
“Good?” he asked cockily, wearing a large smirk. He repeated the movement again, drawing a line from your core to your clit, stopping to rub circles.
“Mmm hmm,” you sighed. He leaned in once more to meet you with the sloppiest, dirtiest kiss you two had shared yet, and it only made you grind your center into his hand. He repeated the action several times over, and you were a writhing mess in minutes.
He brought a finger under your waistband once more, stretching the elastic out before letting it snap lightly against your skin. “Let’s take these off, hmm?” You’d never stood up so fast in your life, practically ripping the panties off of you, taking your bra off with it. Jared stood up to remove his shorts, but stopped to stare.
“What?” you questioned shyly, moving to cover up.
“You’re literally the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”
The boy quite literally had heart eyes for you.
“Oh,” you responded meekly, cheeks heating up. When you kept looking back at him, he seemed to snap back into the moment and hurriedly ripped off his shorts and underwear, sitting back on the couch and opening his arms for you. You moved to straddle his hips the same way as before, and he brought his arms around to embrace you as you shared another heated kiss. One of his hands moved up to cup your breast, thumb rolling over your nipple as if you were made of glass. Jared pulled his mouth off of yours and trailed his lips down the side of your face, to your jaw, and down onto your neck, suckling lightly and leaving wet kisses. You tilted your head to the side to give him better access, and brought one of your hands down between you two to grasp him. He shuddered, only grabbing your hips and bringing you impossibly closer. His other hand trailed down to your center once more, going straight to your core and gathering the slight wetness there before bringing his finger up to your clit and circling. With your underwear out of the way, you felt almost lightheaded at his touch. You never knew how girls could cum during sex before, because you never seemed to feel much at all unless it was pain, but with how aroused you were right now and Jared’s movements, you thought for the first time that you may actually be able to finish. People do say that 90% of sex is mental, and you guessed this is what they meant. The more into it you are, the more physical sensation you actually feel. Groundbreaking.
“Can I finger you?” he murmured huskily into your neck.
You tensed slightly at this, but trusted him. If you said stop, he would. “Ok, just go slow.”
“Of course,” he responded before placing a sweet kiss on your shoulder and bringing his index finger back to your core, swirling around the entrance a few times. You took a few deep breaths to relax your muscles, and he looked at you, wordlessly asking, Ready? You nodded, and he slipped his finger in, just to the first knuckle, and held it still while he brought his thumb to your clit and continued rubbing. When he noticed you visibly relax, he slipped his finger in further to the second knuckle, stopping for a few seconds, and then all the way. He kept it here again, giving you time to adjust or tell him to stop, all the while keeping you stimulated with his thumb. It felt really good. Well, you didn’t exactly feel his finger at all, which was better than pain, and his thumb was making you crazy. Your breathing was labored at this point, eyebrows furrowed as you held onto his shoulders, nails digging in and sure to leave scratches. He pressed the finger inside of you onto your front wall suddenly, massaging the ridges firmly, and you let out a moan. Your first real moan ever. And damn did it get Jared excited. He continued this motion again and again, building in intensity and pressure slowly. When he felt how wet you had become, he pulled his finger back out to the first knuckle, and added his middle finger next to it, sliding them both back in slowly so as not to hurt you. Your eyes widened at the stretch, but it didn’t hurt. It felt amazing.
“Oh, fuck,” you whispered to yourself, before moaning once more as his fingers began the ‘come-hither’ motion once more.
“Am I hurting you?” he asked, concerned at your cursing.
“No, feels so good,” you moaned, and he smiled at this, increasing the pressure even more. Your eyes screwed shut, hips stuttering over his hand, letting him finger fuck you for several more minutes as you began to feel a tightening in your stomach. He brought his thumb off of your clit finally, adjusting his hand for a better angle and bringing his other hand off of your waist and up to his mouth, licking his thumb and bringing that down to your clit, resuming the tight circles. You could hear how wet you were, feeling too good to be embarrassed. The heat in your stomach was building, spreading. You felt your legs begin to shake, muscles begin to tighten around his fingers, and your eyes screwed shut as you opened your mouth in a silent scream and came. The waves of pleasure washed over you for a long time, Jared slowing his movements down so as not to overstimulate you. When you finally opened your eyes again, you were panting, legs feeling like Jello. Jared was staring at you with a look of absolute awe on his face, mouth agape and dick rock hard, red, and leaking precum. He was more turned on than he had ever been from actual sex before, and it was only from watching you.
“Fuck, baby that was so hot,” he all but moaned.
You reached down to grasp him, panting a “your turn.”
He grabbed both your wrists, stopping you. “Nuh uh, this is about you. Lie the fuck down.”
You gasped, his dominant tone turning you on despite your recent climax. You both knew that if you were even slightly uncomfortable, things would stop immediately. But it was fun for both of you to let him be a little aggressive. You did as told, lying long ways across the couch cushions, Jared moving to kneel between your legs, moving your knees softly apart so he could look at all of you. You didn’t feel insecure being exposed like this. You felt excited.
“Are you absolutely sure you wanna do this?” he questioned.
“I have never been more sure, Jared baby, I want to,” you pleaded. This was enough for him, so he brought his dick down to line up with your entrance, rubbing the tip up and down a few times to collect your wetness. He was worried that there wouldn’t be enough lubricant, so he brought a hand up to his mouth and spit, rubbing the saliva on his cock.
“You just wait ‘til we get some real lube and a real fucking bed, Princess. You won’t be able to walk for days.” You shuddered at the thought of this, and of the sensation of his dick rubbing around your clit and back down to your entrance. He pushed in slightly, letting the tip in before pausing and checking your face for any signs of pain. When he found none, he pushed in slightly more, and more. He was being extremely slow, and you appreciated it. Guys normally would just shove themselves inside, not giving you any time to adjust before pounding away. But Jared was careful, despite how turned on you knew he was. He still had your best interest in mind. Within a couple of minutes, he was fully seated inside of you, staying still until you told him to move. He brought his face down to give you a sweet kiss, waiting for you to give him the signal.
After a few seconds, you didn’t feel any sort of stinging or pain, so you nodded, saying “Just start slow.”
“Of course,” he replied genuinely. He pulled his hips back just a few inches, before slowly grinding them back into yours. You closed your eyes, focusing on keeping your muscles loose and relaxed as he continues this movement a few more times. The next time he pushed in, he ground his hips further into yours, hitting the deepest parts of you. This had you release a gasp, eyes opening to meet his. “Okay?” he questioned.
“Yes.”
He did this several more times, letting you get used to the feeling of him being so deep inside of you, before your hips began to grind back into his. It felt really good. When he noticed this, he began pulling his hips back more, pushing back in slightly faster, and this had you moaning. You threw your head back, back arched, just enjoying the sensations. Your hands were grasping at his shoulders, definitely leaving scratch marks.
“Oh my God,” you whispered.
“You’re so fucking gorgeous,” he responded, planting sloppy kisses to your neck and collar bone. “Baby, I’m not gonna last much longer.”
You smiled at this, glad he was enjoying it as much as you were. “Go ahead, cum for me,” you spoke, and your words had him right on the edge. He pulled out of you quickly, hand fisting his cock as he stared at your sweaty, writhing body below him. He came hard, spilling onto your stomach as he growled out, the sound making your toes curl, almost animalistic. You both remained in this position as you came down, breaths labored and eyes barely open. He stood up fully off of the couch and reached for the flimsy blanket on the floor, using it to wipe off your stomach. He threw it into the corner of the room and lay down next to you on the couch, gathering you up into his arms to cuddle.
“Did you have a good time?” he asked almost nervously after a few minutes.
“Nah, kinda sucked,” you teased, and he let out a playful laugh, lightly shoving you away before pulling you back and planting a kiss on your temple.
A pause. “For real though,” he prodded, beginning to panic slightly.
You burst out laughing. “Of course I had a good time, Jared. Best i’ve ever had, if I’m being honest.”
“Ok good,” he sighed, relieved but trying not to show that you actually had him nervous for a second.
Another pause. “Did… did you have a good time?” you questioned back at him.
He seemed almost offended at the question, bringing a hand up to cup your face so that your eyes met his. “Y/N, this was the best night of my entire life. That was perfect. You are perfect. And I’m glad you trusted me enough to do that with you.”
You felt your eyes sting slightly, emotions running wild. You considered yourself the luckiest girl in the world to be with Jared Cameron. Not only was he totally gorgeous, but kind, hilarious, and great in bed.
In an effort to switch the tone back to a more playful one, you replied, “Yeah, well I was promised some more fun involving real lube and a real bed so…”
He tugged you further into him, wrapping his arms around you in a way that made you think he might never let go. He laughed, and said “Oh, you just wait.”

Summary: Tony works to save Dr. Strange and Y/N. The fugitive Avengers find their way to the compound. (gifs aren’t mine)
Tumblr media
As the alien started guiding the piece of pavement towards the giant circular ship, the cloak that was around Strange tore itself free and flew the piece of pavement away.
“No!” The alien yelled, following after it.
Iron Man and Spider-Man were both fighting off the large alien in the nearby park Tony had crashed into, when the pavement piece flew passed. All Tony could see was the cloak and the alien following, so he knew it was Strange and that he was in trouble.
“Kid, that’s wizard,” Tony told Peter, blocking an attack. “Get on it.”
“On it!” Peter replied, quickly swinging in that direction.
Spider-Man chased after the skinny alien, who was floating speedily and upright on a small platform of burbling debris. Swinging in between the pavement and the alien, Peter tried to tie up the alien. The alien attacked back, throwing a billboard at Spider-Man.
“Not cool!” Peter responded.
The alien bent all the utility poles in the path of the feeing clock, finally snagging the garment and ripping it loose of the pavement. Spider-Man re-arrived on the scene, finally noticing something.
“Uh, Mr. Stark? We have a problem,” Peter’s nervous voice rang over the comms.
“What is is kid?” Tony replied, still fighting off the larger alien. “I’m kinda in the middle—“
“Both the wizard and Miss Rogers are unconscious on the floating piece of road.”
“What?! I’ll be right there!”
Peter swung down to the pavement and stood on it, careful to not step on Strange or Y/N. Bending down, he went to break Y/N free when a cone of blue light began to pull the group upwards. Spider-Man jumped off, grabbing onto the nearest light post while using his webbing to try and keep the piece of pavement in place. The alien quickly uprooted the light post, sending Dr. Strange, the cloak, Y/N, and Peter on their way to the circular ship.
“Uhhh, Mr. Stark?” Peter called again. “I’m being beamed up!”
“Hang on, kid!” Tony responded.
Before Tony could fly over there, the giant alien he was fighting pinned Tony to the ground by his hammer that doubled as a claw. As the giant jumped towards Iron Man, blades ready to end the fight, he was sent through a portal instead. The alien turned and leaped  to return back through the portal, but Wong rapidly closed it and only the giant’s severed hand made its way back to the park. Bruce kicked the hand way with a noise of disgust. Iron Man then shook himself free of the weapon.
“Wong, you’re invited to my future wedding!” Tony exclaimed before beginning to fly towards the large ship. “Give me a little juice, FRIDAY.”
Iron Man’s foot thrusters suddenly morphed together into a single larger thruster, increasing his speed considerably.
Tumblr media
Peter, not being able to keep hold of the pavement piece, was hanging onto the ship as it flew up into space. The alien and the piece of pavement with Strange and Y/N on it, had disappeared into the ship. Tony knew that Peter wasn’t going to be able to hold on or breathe for much longer.
“Unlock 17-A,” Tony ordered FRIDAY. “Pete, you gotta let go. I’m gonna catch you.”
“But you said save the wizard!” Peter responded. Gasping from lack of oxygen, Peter ripped off his mask. “I can’t breathe!”
“You’re too high up. You’re running out of air.”
“Yeah! That makes sense.”
Quickly, Peter passed out, free-falling, but not before the pod Tony had set out reached him. It attached itself to him, becoming a new suit. Now being able to breathe, Spider-Man landed on the bottom part of the ship.
“Mr. Stark, it smells like a new car in here!” Peter commented.
“Happy trails, kid,” Tony replied. “FRIDAY, send him home.”
“Yep,” FRIDAY answered.
A large parachute extended from the new Spider-Man suit, spending him back towards earth.
“Oh, come on!” Peter shouted.
Iron Man latched onto the hull and cut a hole to board the ship, looking for wherever Strange and Y/N were taken.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Boss, I have lifeforms detected in the ship,” FRIDAY informed. “One of them is most likely Agent Rogers.”
“Can you tell me if she’s breathing?”
A pause. “It appears she is.”
“Okay… I need you to—“
“I’m sorry, Boss, but we seem to be losing connection. We’re too far away from—“ Then FRIDAY”s line cut.

“Still no word from Vision?” The holographic image of Secretary Ross asked Rhodey. Rhodey was at the compound, dealing with the red tape.
“Satellites lost him somewhere over Edinburgh,” Rhodey replied.
“On a stolen Quinjet with four of the world's most wanted criminals.”
“You know they're only criminals because you've chosen to call them that, right, sir?”
“My God, Rhodes, your talent for horseshit rivals my own.”
“If it weren't for those Accords, Vision would've been right here.”
“I remember your signature on those papers, Colonel.”
“That's right. And I'm pretty sure I've paid for that.”
“You have second thoughts?”
“Not anymore.”
Suddenly, the fugitive Avengers (Sam, Wanda, Nat, and Steve) entered the room. Vision was being supported by Sam.
Tumblr media
“Mr. Secretary,” Steve greeted, firmly.
“You got some nerve,” Ross said, hologram walking up to the Captain. “I’ll give you that.”
“You could use some of that right now,” Natasha replied.
“The world's on fire. And you think, all is forgiven?”
“I'm not looking for forgiveness. And I'm way past asking for permission,” Steve stated. “Earth just lost her best defender. So we're here to fight.” He took a step towards the hologram. “And if you wanna stand in our way… we’ll fight you too.”
Tumblr media
Ross turned to Rhodes. “Arrest them.”
Tumblr media
“All over it,” Rhodey responded before swiping off the hologram. “That’s a court-martial. It’s great to see you, Cap.”
The two men hugged. “You too, Rhodey,” Steve responded before Natasha went to hug Rhodey.
Tumblr media
“Well. You guys really look like crap. Must've been a rough couple of years.”
“Yeah, well, the hotels weren’t exactly five star,” Sam commented.
“Uh, I think you look great,” Bruce nervously walked in from the opposite end of the room. “Uh… heh… Yeah. I’m back.”
Tumblr media
“Hi, Bruce,” Nat greeted softly.
Tumblr media
“Nat.”
Tumblr media
“This is awkward,” Sam whispered.
Tumblr media
Steve looked around. “Has anyone heard from Y/N?” He asked. “She’d want to know—“
“She’s missing too, Steve,” Bruce interrupted. “When I found Tony to get his help, Y/N was with him.”
“She was… she was with him? But Y/N’s a fugitive as well. How—“
“Mr. Stark and Miss Rogers have been sneaking around,” Vision cut Steve off.
“What?!” Steve and Rhodey exclaimed.
“It’s been happening for about a year now.”
“Miss Rogers has been seeing Boss and Sergeant Barnes,” FRIDAY clarified. “Trying to work through her feelings.”
“Thats… and she never…” Steve was at a loss for words.
“You didn’t try to reach out to her either, Cap,” Sam said. “You even knew she was staying in Wakanda. T’Challa told you. And you refused to reach out.”
“What happened?” Steve asked, looking at Bruce.
“She got captured,” Bruce explained. “Tony went after the ship to protect her and the Time Stone.”
“Why don’t we take this into the other room?” Rhodey suggested. “Perhaps get you guys something to drink.”
They went into the next room over, each standing or sitting around the room. Bruce explained more of what happened and the other group explained what happened to them.
Tumblr media
“So we gotta assume they’re coming back, right?” Rhodey questioned.
“And they can clearly find us,” Wanda added.
“We need all hands on deck,” Bruce stated. “Where’s Clint?”
“After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal,” Nat answered. “It was too tough on their families, they're on house arrest.”
“Who’s Scott?”
“Ant-Man,” Steve replied.
“There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man? Okay, look… Thanos has the biggest army in the universe. And he is not gonna stop until he... he gets... Vision's Stone.”
“Well then, we have to protect it,” Nat stated.
“No, we have to destroy it,” Vision said. "I've been giving a good deal of thought to this entity in my head, about its nature. But also, its composition. I think if it were exposed to a sufficiently powerful energy source, something, very similar to its own signature, perhaps… its molecular integrity could fail.”
Tumblr media
“And you, with it,” Wanda said. “We’re not having this conversation.”
“Eliminating the stone is the only way to be certain that Thanos can't get it.”
“That’s too high a price.”
Vision took Wanda’s face gently with both hands. “With Y/N off world, only you have the power to pay it.” Wanda walked away, distressed. “Thanos threatens half the Universe. One life cannot stand in the way of defeating him.”
“But it should,” Steve said, looking at Vision. “We don’t trade lives, Vision.”
“Captain, 70 years ago, you laid down your life to save how many millions of people. Tell me, why is this any different?”
Tumblr media
“Because you might have a choice,” Bruce suggested. “Your mind is made up of a complex construct of overlays. JARVIS, Ultron, Tony, me, the Stone. All of them mixed together. All of them learning from one another.”
“You’re saying Vision isn’t just the Stone?” Wanda asked.
Tumblr media
“I'm saying that if we take out the Stone, there's still a whole lot of Vision left. Perhaps the best parts.”
“Can we do that?” Nat wondered.
“Not me. Not here.”
“You better find someone, and somewhere fast,” Rhodey said. “Ross isn't exactly just gonna let you guys have your old rooms back.”
“I know somewhere,” Steve stated. “Wakanda. But someone first has to explain how Y/N has anything to do with the Stone.”
Tumblr media
“70 years ago, the Tesseract chose her to be the protector of the Stones,” Vision explained, knowing the story due to housing the Mind Stone in his head. “That’s how she survived the fall. The Tesseract holds the Space Stone. Her powers come for each of the Stones, so she has the power to destroy the Stones, by channeling them. Y/N is able to wield and control the all the Stones.”
“What I showed her…” Wanda said quietly. “It was the Stone… Y/N’s the key to stopping Thanos.”
~~~
T’Challa already knew Y/N was missing before Steve had contacted him. With Okoye and two other guards, he made his way to Bucky’s place. Bucky was throwing bags onto a partly-filled car, being watched by two village children.
“You’ll have the Kingsgaurd, and the Dora Milaje have been alerted,” Okoye told T’Challa as they made their way towards Bucky’s small hut.
“And the Border Tribe?” T’Challa wondered.
“Those that are left.”
“Send word to the Jabari as well. M’Baku likes a good fight.”
“And what of this one?” Okoye looked at Bucky, just down the hill.
“This one may be tired of war. But the White Wolf has rested long enough.”
They made their way to Bucky. The guards set an elaborate and high-tech looking case down on the cart. They opened the lid to reveal the black and gold vibranium arm that Bucky had worn on Valentine’s Day.
Bucky sighed. “Where’s the fight?” He asked.
Tumblr media
“On its way,” T’Challa answered. “And, Barnes…” The King glanced over at Okoye. “There’s something else. It’s about Y/N.”
Bucky was immediately alert. “What is it?”
“She’s missing.”
~~~
Dr. Strange was floating horizontally, face down, surrounded by dozens of long, glassy needles, as the alien interrogated him. Y/N was still unconscious, tied to the pavement off to the side.
“In all the time I’ve served Thanos, I’ve never failed him,” the alien told Dr. Strange. “If I were to reach our rendezvous on Titan with the Time Stone still attached to your vaguely irritating person, there would be... judgement.” The needles began to contact Dr. Strange’s face, causing pain. “Give me… the Stone.”
Tony was watching, hiding from above. After receiving a tap on the arm, Tony turned around, hand up and ready to shoot. Tony stood stand after seeing that it was the cloak.
“Wow, you’re a seriously loyal piece of outerwear, aren’t you?” Tony commented.
Tumblr media
“Yeah, un speaking of loyalty…”
Tony and the cloak turn, completely shocked, to see Peter dropping down from above.
Tumblr media
“What the—“
Tumblr media
“I know what you’re gonna say,” Peter interrupted, holding his hands out.
“You should not be here,” Tony stated.
Tumblr media
“I was gonna go home—“
“I don’t wanna hear it.”
Tumblr media
“But it was such a long way down and I just thought about you and Y/N on the way—”
“And now I gotta hear it.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“—and I kinda stuck to the side of the ship. And this suit is ridiculously intuitive, by the way. So if anything, it’s kinda your fault that I’m here.”
Tumblr media
Both the cloak and Tony looked shocked, again. “What did you just say?”
Tumblr media
“I take that back. And now I’m here in space.”
“Yeah.” Tony went to stand right in front of Peter. “Right where I don’t want you to be. This isn’t Coney Island. This isn't a field trip. It's a one-way ticket. You hear me? Don't pretend like you thought this through. You could not have possibly thought this through.”
Tumblr media
"No. I did think this through.”
“You could not have possibly thought this through.”
“It's just .. you can't be a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man if there's no neighborhood.” Peter waited to get something from Tony, but nothing. “Okay. That didn't really make any sense, but you know what I'm trying to say.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tony let out a shaky breath. “Come on. We got a situation.”
Tumblr media
Tony led Peter over to where they could see Dr. Strange, Y/N, and the alien. Peter crouched down to study the situation and the cloak leaned over his shoulder.
“See him down there?” Tony pointed to Dr. Strange. “He’s in trouble. And Y/N laying over there as well. What’s your plan? Go.”
“Um. Okay, okay… uh…” Peter stuttered, trying to think. He and the cloak popped back upright. “Okay. Did you ever see this really old movie, Aliens?”
~~~
Meanwhile, the Stones were talking to an unconscious Y/N.
“You can’t stop what’s coming… it will come, no matter what. You are being saved for the final battle… we will stop you from doing anything to prevent what needs to happen. What’s supposed to happen… someday, you will understand. There are things meant to be learned, things meant to happen, that we will not let you stop… use your powers wisely.”
She gasped quietly, waking up. Y/N quickly studied her surroundings. She could feel the Time Stone close before she noticed the predicament Dr. Strange was in. The glass spikes were pressing into Strange’s skin, causing him to let out a groan.
“Painful, aren’t they?” The alien taunted. Ebony Maw, the name was, Y/N finally getting inside his head. “They were originally designed for microsurgery. And any one of them—“
There was a thump behind Maw, he turned to see Iron Man standing there. Tony’s hand repulsers were ready to fire. Y/N closed her eyes and focused on getting out of the utility ropes without making a big scene.
“—could end your friend’s life in an instant,” Maw continued.
“I gotta tell you, he’s not really my friend,” Tony responded. “Saving his life is more a professional courtesy.”
“Ah, yes. It’s the girl you’re really after.” Maw walked slowly towards Iron Man, beckoning very large metal objects to float behind him. “Too bad you’ve saved nothing. Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine.”
“Yeah, but the kid’s seen more movies.”
Iron Man fired a rocket from his shoulder which pierces the side of the ship to Maw’s right and began to suck everything out with depressurization, including Y/N. She quickly portaled herself to behind Tony, relieving herself from the binds. Maw was sucked out into space quickly. Dr. Strange was pulled loose of his bindings and the needles, also heading for the hole. The cloak quickly wrapped around Dr. Strange, trying to keep him inside. Strange and the cloak lost their grip, but Spider-Man shot a web strand, holding him in place. Or trying to.
The web broke, sending both Strange and Peter towards space. Suddenly, Peter’s suit releases metal spider-like arms, keeping him from being sucked out. Y/N quickly portaled Strange behind her.
“Yes!” Peter shouted, looking at the metal arms. “Wait, what are those?!”
Using the metal arms, Peter leaped to get to a safer place. Tony quickly sprayed nano-particles onto the hole to plug it. Spider-Man landed on his new legs, quickly retracted them. He found the cloak hovering next to him.
“Hey, we haven’t officially met,” Peter said, offering the cloak his hand. It ignored it, going straight to Strange. “Cool.”
Tony’s suit quickly disappeared back into the arc reactor as he rushed to Y/N. He grabbed onto her arms, examining her body for any injuries.
“Are you alright? Are you hurt?” He asked. Tony’s hands found a place on her cheeks. “Tell me you’re—“
“I’m fine, Tony,” she responded. “I’m fine.”
He gave her a kiss before pulling her in for a hug. “I was so worried.”
“I’m fine.” She hugged him back, breathing him in. “I’m fine.”
“We’ve gotta turn this ship around,” Strange stated.
“Yeah. Now he wants to run,” Tony replied. “Great plan.”
“No, I want to protect the Stone.”
Tony walked towards the front window, showing that they were speeding. “And I want you to thank me now. Go ahead, I’m listening.”
“For what? Nearly blasting me into space?”
“Who just saved your magical ass? Me.”
“Technically it was me,” Y/N added.
“I seriously don’t know how you fit your head into that helmet,” Strange scoffed.
“Admit it. You should have ducked out when I told you to,” Tony continued. “I tried to bench you. You refused.”
“I tried to bench your girlfriend, yet she refused as well. And, unlike everyone else in your life, I don’t work for you.”
“And due to that fact, we’re now in a flying doughnut billions of miles away from Earth with no backup.”
“I’m backup,” Peter said, raising his hand.
“No. You’re a stowaway.” Tony pointed his finger between himself and Strange. “The adults are talking.”
“I’m sorry, I’m confused as to the relationship here,” Strange said. “Wh—what is he, your ward?”
“No,” Peter responded. “I’m Peter, by the way.”
“Dr. Strange.”
“Oh, we're using our made-up names. Um... I'm Spider-Man, then."
“Peter,” Y/N muttered, rolling her eyes.
“This ship is self-correcting its course,” Tony stated. “Thing’s on autopilot.”
“Can we control it?” Strange asked, walking closer to Tony. “Fly us home.”
Tony, looking out in space, was lost in bad memories. Of going through the portal, of what Wanda showed him.
“Tony?” Y/N called softly, stepping towards him. She was concerned.
“Yeah?” He responded. He met her gaze briefly, quickly looking away cause it was not the time for him to be freaking out or for her to be reading him.
“Can you get us home?” Strange asked.
“Yeah. I heard you. I’m thinking… I’m not so sure we should.”
“What?” Y/N questioned. “Why?”
“Under no circumstance can we bring the Time Stone to Thanos,” Strange stated. “I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here.”
Tony talked over to Strange. “No. It's you who doesn't understand, that Thanos has been inside my head for six years since he sent an army to New York and now he's back! And I don't know what to do. Because I am not sacrificing Y/N for the sake of the universe, for whatever the Stones have told her is her destiny. So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight him on our turf or his but you saw what they did, what they can do. At least on his turf, he's not expecting it. So I say we take the fight to him. Doctor. Do you concur?”
Tumblr media
Strange was silent for a moment. “Alright, Stark. We go to him. But you have to understand... if it comes to saving you or the kid or the Time Stone... I will not hesitate to let either of you die. I can't, because the fate of the universe depends on it.”
“Nice. Good. Moral compass. We're straight.” Tony stepped over to Peter, formally tapping each of Peter’s shoulders. “Alright kid. You’re an Avenger now.”
“You skipped me,” Y/N said, walking up to Strange.
“Excuse me?” He questioned.
“You said that if it came between saving Tony, Peter, or the Time Stone, that you’d choose the Time Stone… but what about me?”
“You and I both know, Y/N, that the Stones will not let you die until you have completed what they need you for. No matter what that may be.”
Hi, can I get some clarification? At one point does lusting for a person/feeling lust for someone become objectification?
Objectification is treating a person like an object, like a *thing* instead of a person.
(for the purposes of this post I am primarily going to be talking about sexual objectification though parents treating their children like objects is DEFINITELY a thing)
I would argue that objectification happens when you disregard a person’s autonomy (not that you overrule or deny he fact that they HAVE autonomy, but like it doesn’t even occur to you that your choices should be considered because they’re not real enough to you in that moment for it to matter).
Having a crush on your friend or thinking that the cashier at a store is sexy isn’t objectifying them. Resenting your friend for not returning your crush or taking a photo of a sexy cashier to share on social media is objectifying them. Arguably just thinking about someone while masturbating is, to an extent, objectifying them. But imagining the sexy cashier taking you out on a nice picnic date and showering you with presents and buying you a pony is objectifying them too.
I’ve got a hot take here: Objectification isn’t inherently bad.
There’s a person at my gym who has some fucking THIGHS. Every time they’re at the gym they’re on the stair machine for a minimum of thirty minutes. I’m pretty sure they can’t wear jeans because I can’t *imagine* the kinds of jeans that would fit over this person’s quads. Every time I’m at my gym and this person is working out their thighs it’s a little bonus perk for my gym visit. In fact it’s kind of an incentive: if I go to the gym maybe I’m gonna get to see THIGHS and that’ll be cool.
This person is an object to me. At a conscious level I know that they are a real person with their own thoughts and desires and agenda and whatever but that’s not what they are to me. What they are to me is Damn! Thighs!
And that’s not a problem.
However if I *follow* them around the gym to look at their thighs, or if I stare obviously and move so that I’m working out behind them, or if I follow them out so I know what their car looks like so I can make sure to go into the gym if I see them in the lot THAT is a problem. And if they introduce themselves to me and I don’t remember their name or their interests and all I ever want to talk about is how hot their thighs are then THAT is a BIG problem. And if they were my coworker and I ignored their achievements and didn’t listen to their requests because their needs were less important to me than hot thighs and anyway if you spend so much time looking good you’re probably an idiot who doesn’t really work but just gets a paycheck because the boss likes looking at you and your work doesn’t matter THEN that is a VERY VERY BIG problem.
You are allowed to lust after and objectify people so long as it doesn’t impact the actual real world and that actual real person.
Chris Evans is an object to me. He’s pretty. I like looking at him. He doesn’t have any idea that I exist so me seeing him as just a pretty dude and ignoring everything else about him doesn’t matter. And I cannot tell you how much I DO NOT want to personally humanize Chris Evans as a celebrity and form a parasocial relationship with him where I know about his dog and his siblings and look at pictures of his family at the holidays. I’m much more comfortable experiencing Chris Evans as an object than as a person, thanks, and I’m pretty sure that for most celebrities that’s how they want most of the world to interact with them. But if I were to meet him and objectify him by presenting him with sexual fanart of him or if I were to have an interview with him about his political website and only asked him questions about his workout routine THEN it would be a problem for me to objectify him and I would be doing so in a way that was directly harmful to him.
Also. In terms of nonsexual objectification:
I keep hearing random liberals say that Biden needs to nominate a woman of color as his running mate.
I hear it over and over but I’m not hearing names, just “Joe Biden needs to nominate a Latina” “Joe Biden won’t win if he doesn’t run with a Woman of Color on the ticket.”
Over and over. But no names. No policy. Almost as if people are seeing this possible running mate like some kind of talisman or token or object or fetish (in the original “magical object’ sense, not the sexual sense) instead of a theoretical politician with experience and ideas of her own.
Hm. Gross.
And yes it is COMPLETELY possible to objectify men and we as a society do it A LOT and I kind of have the objectification of men as commodities in the popular music industry as a special interest that I’ve done a lot of reading and research and writing about.
Objectification is a thing that people do. It is arguably a *necessary* thing that we do in our society, where we’re aware of so many hundreds or thousands of people that we can’t actually individually treat them like humans (and we can’t even meaningfully conceive of MILLIONS or BILLIONS of people).
So let’s look at George of the Jungle (because that’s what we’ve been talking about today)
The ladies looking wistfully at George as he plays with the horses: these characters are objectifying the character of George but it is likely harmless because he doesn’t even seem to notice that they’re ogling him.
Ursula’s roommate/friend staring at George naked: this character is objectifying George and it *could* be harmful to his character because it will change their interactions and the way she views him and the dynamic between him.
The advertising for the film focusing on a shirtless character slammed into a tree: Not objectifying George.
Tumblr focusing on gifs of George/Brendan Fraser without his shirt: Objectifying the character/actor, harmless (though if you approached the actor on the street and said “Oh my god, I am so hot for your ass in that one scene where you’re wearing the bowl” that would be harmful)
People focusing on Brendan Fraser’s weight gain and lamenting that he’s no longer sexy: Objectifying the actor, potentially harmful to the actor (because people frequently tag the actors in criticism like this) and definitely bodyshaming in a way that can be harmful to the people who encounter the criticisms.
Fans expecting actors to maintain a particular level of fitness outside of a film: objectifying the actor, harmful.
Studios expecting actors to perform complicated stunts without adequate preparation or safety precautions: Objectifying the actor, harmful.
Studios and audiences expecting actors to be dangerously dehydrated so that they appear extremely muscular or extremely fit when filming; Objectifying the actor, harmful.
A film executive expecting an actor to perform sexual acts for them or to tolerate sexual touching because they’ve cast the actor for a part: Objectifying the actor, harmful.
So it’s interesting that while the actor Brendan Fraser was likely objectified in the process of making this film (especially considering that, yeah, there was probably some unhealthy dieting and some dehydration to look as lean and muscular as he did in some scenes) the film as a whole does not objectify the character of George.
Anyway.
Shit’s complicated and there’s not a clear dividing line but it’s okay to think of people as objects sometimes because that’s honestly a thing that we have to do to get through the day without keeling over from overextended empathy but it’s not cool to *treat* people like objects and media that treats people like objects frequently models behavior that people normalize even if they don’t intentionally emulate it so it’s worthwhile to have discussions about the objectification of characters in media.
There we go.
Easy, right?
I don’t hate Tony but so many anti-Steve people use civil war as their reasoning to hate him. With that logic that means they agree with the accords right? The suppressive accords that aim to take the rights of mutants/enhanced individuals away... Unless that’s what they think is right 👀 It’s just so weird the way they hate on Steve for going against the accords like he should have. The accords are total shit and horrible. Sorry for the rant!!
You’re fine, ranting against anti Steve people is always welcomed and encouraged in these parts.
Look, Steve was not opposed to the idea of some form of accountability. He was opposed to the form it took. He was worried, fucking rightfully, since it’d only been 2 years since the Nazis running the government thing hit, that they might end up answering to the wrong people. That innocent people who weren’t Avengers, who couldn’t fight back like Avengers, would have their rights, their lives stripped away by the wrong people.
And the pro Accords, pro-Tony people never want to talk about how devious Tony was there. AoU? Goes behind the team’s back and creates the murder bot. Then, what, a year later, if that? He blindsides them with the Accords. And yes, he does blindside them, because it was what, a month between Lagos and Ross showing up? That was a huge ass document. They spent time on that. Not nearly as much time as they should have, for a policy that affects potentially millions of people, but anyway. Tony knew Ross was showing up that day with this. Steve and the others did not.
There’s a gif set of that scene, that moment where Ross is briefing them about this and Steve looks at Tony, and someone had captioned it, ‘Steve looking to Tony for guidance’ or something very, very close to that.
Everybody’s got their own read, but also, no. Steve was not looking at Tony for guidance. He was looking at Tony like, really man? Again? Again, you go behind our backs and hit us with this?
If he’s so sure what he’s doing is right, why didn’t he tell the team about it weeks ago? If he’s so assured in his moral high ground, why let them hear it from Ross, and then try and guilt trip them over the death of a boy that he himself caused?
Tony blames the team. We dropped a building on him. Charles Spencer’s mother does not blame the Avengers.
“He’s dead Stark. And I blame you.”
Zemo blames the whole team. Charles Spencer’s mom blames Tony. Yet Tony uses Charles as a guilt trip, emotional manipulation against the others.
If the Accords are so good and right, why did Tony hide them? Could it be because he didn’t want the others to have proper time to have an actual discussion about it, as opposed to them being backed into a corner, sign right now, or else?
People who truly believe in the rightness of their cause don’t hide it from others, especially supposed friends and teammates.
Not that it matters, since the Accords ended up mattering fuck all narratively in the long term, but there is rightness in accountability. Laws should reflect the times and circumstances we live in so yeah, there should have been something on the books that related to enhanced people.
The bill they put forth? That giant bill that they put together in a few weeks, in a panic reaction after an admittedly horrible incident? That was not it. That’s why Steve said he didn’t think it was impossible, but there would have to be safeguards. Steve wasn’t saying fuck all of you, I’m Cap, I will never follow any laws . He was saying that this particular law, in this form, was unconstitutional and unjust, and he was right.
Could i possible request a jj imagine from that one scene where they trap the girls on the boat, and reader gets left with them, reader is dating jj, but they have really bad anxiety so she is upset with him when they go to pick the m up from the boat
Left Behind - JJ Maybank
Words: 1.6k+
Type: Angst & Fluff
Warnings: English is not my first language, sorry for any typos. Fear of the sea/being left in a boat.
Tumblr media
A/N: Gif’s not mine :)
It’s been around 6 hours since JJ, John B and Pope left you, Sarah and Kie alone in a boat with no way back home.
You had agreed to making Sarah and Kie have a conversation and sort out their issues, but the idea of you being the one that has to be with them just to make sure they don’t kill each other... Now that’s some bullshit, but it was decided. Without you knowing a word of it.
And just to make matters worse, you have anxiety problems. Everyone knows this, especially your boyfriend, JJ.
And we all know that anxiety has the power to make a small issue or fear into a whole trauma-like experience.
But the motherfucker didn’t even think twice in leaving you in the boat.
It was just like you all had planned, everyone steps into the boat and then runs out but you were utterly pissed when noticing that they were escaping without even looking back at you.
Oh and the way they all laughed... Anger boiled your blood.
You are definitely not okay with any of this.
Kie and Sarah have been talking on one side of the boat since you told them to, and you are sitting in the other side, leaving them to have their privacy.
And now, your mind is at 500 miles an hour, since anxiety has gotten a way with it - thinking of all the possible horrible endings this evening could have.
You couldn’t swim back to the island, you couldn’t row this kind of boat back home, and also can’t call for help, if anything bad happens.
This is just a disaster waiting to occur. And your mind is hating it. Your hands are slightly sweaty, heart is pumping rapidly, breathing seems difficult and seeing the skies become dark is just making everything worse.
You’re not a boat kind of person. You like the idea of being in one but not for too long.
And these 6 hours... are long enough for anyone to pull up next to this boat and try to steal something, kidnap you or even, I don’t you, something worse.
Outer banks is safe, yes, but anybody who has seen any crime documentaries knows that even the safest towns in the world have god damn someone that fucks it all up. It can even be an outsider.
But that, in a strange way, is not what is worrying you the most.
And anybody with anxiety will understand when you say that you don’t exactly know what’s bothering you but it god damn is fucking you up inside.
You just have to find out now to try to fix it.
“You okay?” Sarah asks, making you look away from the water and look up at her.
“Yeah, I was just thinking about what else I could be doing if it weren’t for this situation” You comment in a low tone as she takes a seat next to you. “Have you and Kie talked it all through?”
“Yeah, I guess we’re friends again”
You smile a bit at her and she leans her head on your shoulder.
“How long do you think we’re going to be in here for?” She asks in a whisper and you sigh, tears filling your eyes, but you blink them away.
“For a few more hours”
(...)
It’s been some hours, and the girls have noticed that something is off about you ever since Kie took a seat next to you, just like Sarah. And they haven’t left your side ever since.
You had told them that it was just your anxiety and they tried their best to make you feel better.
Sarah tried to play a game and Kie tried to tell a story, anything to distract your mind.
It had worked, in some way. But only for a few minutes.
You even cried a little when they asked you to tell them what’s wrong. Mostly out of frustration, you did not mean to cry.
As you shared your frustrations with the girls and tears ended up rolling down your face, they both hugged you close to them, trying to comfort you not only with their affection but with their words as well, as they said: “we got you” and “we won’t ever let anything happen to you”.
As the three of you stared into the dark sky, looking at the stars, you hear a motor of a boat.
“They’re here” Sarah whispers to you and Kie.
The sound of the motor of the boat gets closer and pure anger just boiled in your veins. Mainly towards JJ over any other of the guys.
You three get up from the front of the boat and walk over to the John B’s boat, now floating right next to yours, at the back.
“How did it go?” Pope asks but none of you answers.
Sarah steps in the boat with John B’s help and when he did the same thing to you, JJ also tried to help, which you just ignored.
He leaves his hand in the air as you took John B’s hand for help and then quickly taking a seat next to Sarah, who already sat down comfortably in the smaller boat.
As Kiara goes sit next to Pope, JJ sits down with you.
“So, how did it go?” John B repeats Pope’s words and Sarah looks up from her hands to him.
“Amazing” She answers sarcastically.
You ignore their conversation as John B starts taking all of you back to the island and you finally feel your body starting to relax.
“Hey. You okay?” JJ asks you and you look at him with a serious expression, not even saying a word. “I’ll take that as a ‘no’”
You look away from him while rolling your eyes and stare into the water, in silence. And that lasted the whole way back to JB’s house.
You all got up in your feet and started to get off the boat. You, Kie and Sarah almost kissed the ground as your feet felt the dirt under your shoes.
As everyone decides to stay under the tree and watch the sky change colors, you decide to go in JB’s house and sit at the porch with a glass of water - as any other normal human being would do.
“Can we talk?” JJ asks from behind you as you grab a glass cup from the cabinet of the kitchen.
“Depends on what you want to say”
“You’re mad at me-“
“No shit” You interrupt while filling the cup with water.
“Is it because we left you in the boat with them?”
“What do you think?” You ask with the driest of tones.
“We didn’t mean to make you upset, we just thought it was fu-”
“You know that I’m scared of the water, and you still fucking left me there, JJ. That. Is. Not. Funny”
“I honestly didn’t know you were that scared”
“Well, you could’ve at least taken a guess” You spit the words and he looks at you with a softer expression now.
You two stay silent for a few seconds and don’t try to meet each other’s gaze. JJ doesn’t really know what to say to you.
He wants to make things right, but he just doesn’t know how.
He takes a few steps forward to get closer to you and you look up from the floor at him.
“I’m sorry” He starts, “I really didn’t know you were that scared of water. Really. If I knew, I would never let the guys even think of doing something close to that”
You stay silent.
“I don’t know what I can do to make you forgive me. What I did was fucked up and I didn’t even acknowledge it until now”
Kie’s laughter from outside fills the air but it doesn’t stop the boy standing next to you.
“Will you ever forgive me?”
Well that took a dramatic turn, You thought.
You look back at him with a serious expression and he almost flinches at the sight of it.
“Of course I’m going to forgive you, ass hat” You say and relief reaches his face, “Just not now”
“What can I do to make you forgive me faster?”
You start to think for a second and JJ starts naming actions.
“What about cleaning your room? Not that I’m saying that it’s dirty, I just can do that for you, you know? And, taking you out for ice cream? Maybe bake you a cake?”
“JJ, you don’t know how to bake”
“I can learn. I’m sure that there’s millions of videos on easy cake recipes”
You look away as you fight a smile over JJ’s desperation and that slightly relaxes the boy, who is internally freaking the heck out.
“You have a lot of baking to do” You say and a huge smile grows on the blonde boy as he wraps his arms around you as a celebration. “Like, a lot”
JJ lets you go and looks down at you.
“I don’t care, I’ll work hard enough” He says, “What do you want? A cake with like 5 layers? Cupcakes with hearts made out of that pink shit? Maybe, cinnamon rolls?”
You laugh at his ideas and choice of words and JJ can’t help but smile as well.
“I’m not kidding, you might need to start listing what you want now. I’m a hard worker but I don’t have the time-stopping power so I can work 7 hours in 1″ He says with his smile as you continue to laugh, “Pick pick woman, I need to work”
I prompt you say? 👀
Not a prompt, I’m basically giving you the scene I’ve been envisioning 😅
Do you remember that scene in episode 4(?) where Din is on Sorgan, and he’s sitting in the cart with Cara, and he stretches his arms out and leans back to relax?? I think there’s a million gifs of it.
But imagine Reader is with him on Sorgan, and they haven’t been crew mates for very long. There’s some feelings on both sides, but neither have said anything yet.
She’s sitting next to him, and he does The Thing (ie puts his arm around HER) and neither of them acknowledge it. HOWEVER, when they fall asleep, reader and Din are all cuddled together, Cara looking at them like 🤨 “yeah sure... *definitely* not together.”
Reader’s a bit jealous of the attention that Din and Omera give each other, but doesn’t say anything. Din and Reader share a hut, and end up cuddling together at night too.
Idk if I’m making any sense. I just love fluff mixed in with hurt/comfort. Does this work?? I know it’s not a prompt, but rather a whole ass scene, but uh?????
Well, I can certainly do something with this. I do love a bit of hurt/comfort, and we all love a bit of Din, so here we go--
He had a good instinct. You knew that well, what from the multiple skirmishes he’d got the two of you out of before. Travelling with the man was never easy-- always unpredictable, always exciting, but exceedingly anxiety inducing, despite your hard-skinned personality.
You were used to frequenting planets that weren’t kind. The ones where the wind blew so ferociously that you often relished in the boredom of staying with the kid while he hunted yet another quarry. These planets were unforgiving, populated by people who were even more so, but Mando didn’t bat an eye. Work was work, and his Beskar was easily polishable.
But Sorgan was different. From the moment you’d landed you’d been surrounded by lush trees, beautiful forests and kinder locals than either of you were used to. That hadn’t stopped Mando from getting into a fight not even an hour after landing, but what had resulted was something you’d never expected; his soft side finally showing its colours.
You’d bitten down the overthinking of past experiences with the Mandalorian; the way he sometimes subconsciously wrapped his arms around you while you both slept on the cold hull of the Razor Crest. The minimal words but aching stares from beneath his helmet. The softness of his silence while he occasionally watched you looking after the kid. He’d picked you up on a dying planet, promising you safety if you could deal with his work, look after the kid and keep your mouth shut.
Despite who he was, it was impossible not to see the kindness he possessed beneath the surface, and eventually he’d warmed to you; the same way you had with him. But even those moments wavered occasionally.
“Grab the kid,” He ushered from the clearing, stepping aboard a cart driven by some men from a nearby village; they were in danger, and they needed help. Mando had actually accepted, opting to work alongside this woman, Cara Dune, unexpectedly. You’d learned not to ask questions, but this time it had you stumped.
“Do you really think it’s wise for us to go to a random village, with a random woman who tried to kill you twenty minutes ago?” You let out, crossing your arms in front of him. Mando turned to you slowly, staring at you beneath his helmet.
“What makes you think you have a say in this?” He replied bluntly, but it was exactly what you’d expected in return. You raised your hands in surrender, shooting him an unamused smile.
“Oh sorry, I forgot you don’t pay me enough to get my opinion,”
Hey, we all had bad days. Days where the last thing you wanted to do was go into the unknown once more, feeling the worry and pressure of looking after a wanted kid, and being around a wanted man whose face you’d never seen.
You picked up the kid finally, breathing heavily through your nose as you made your way to the cart with the others. Mando didn’t help you board, as you jumped up with the kid cradled in your arms, sitting down near the back.
Mando strode onto the cart, dropping himself down near you, close enough for you to feel the annoyance radiating off of him in waves. Maybe it was stupid for you to have spoken up, but dank farrik, this was unlike him. It only scared you.
It would be a few days until you reached the village, so you settled in for the long haul, cradling the kid while he snoozed adorably and ignoring the occasional stares that Mando laid upon you. Cara Dune sat to your right, idly biting her nails and blowing away the excess off the cart. Nice.
“So, what’s your deal?” She spoke up, looking at you and then to Mando, flicking her eyes between the two of you like a tennis match. “Is she a whore?”
“Fuck you,” You spat out immediately. The kid stirred in your arms and you sent him a silent apology for disturbing.
“Just a crew member,” Mando finally replied, not commenting upon your outburst. Whore, who the fuck did she think she was? Cara nodded to herself, curling and amused smile onto her lips.
“Just a crew member, okay,” She let out, but dropped it soon after, knowing that she’d crossed a line before. It was a silent trip, but you were used to the quiet. Mando was a man of little words. He didn’t speak unless it was necessary to, and you chose to adopt that same style. As much as both of you knew each other now, talking wasn’t a benefit to either of you.
As night drew in, you snuggled up with the kid while you tried to make yourself comfortable. You spread yourself out on the cart, lying on your side and facing away from the Mandalorian. It was odd how used to sleeping next to him you were-- it was just the norm-- so when he eventually laid down parallel to you, back to back, it offered you something you were used to.
He snored, but they weren’t huge snores; they were almost dainty, filtering through the modulator on his helmet with a faint hum every few seconds and providing you with the comfort to actually fall asleep on this god forsaken cart.
It wasn’t long until the familiar shuffles of Mando’s arms found their way to you. He rolled over in his sleep, scuffing Beskar against the cart as he turned to you and began hugging you from behind. You sleepily accepted his embrace, not thinking it was anything out of the ordinary-- because it wasn’t.
He found you while sleeping more often than he brought back a quarry. It was something unspoken yet accepted; something that both of you indulged in, waking up wrapped in each other’s limbs the morning after and not mentioning it at all.
But that morning, it was mentioned-- just not by either of you.
You woke when the sun began to cut through the trees, filtering down onto the slowly moving cart and warming your skin calmly. You were aware of Mando’s arms still wrapped around you, of him breathing beneath the Beskar, still asleep-- but Cara was fucking laughing.
You stirred awake immediately, trying to stay quiet for the sake of the kid and Mando, before glaring at her head on.
“Just a crew member, right?” She let out, along with a few childish chuckles. “Yeah, I spoon all of my crew members at night,”
“Do you enjoy being a grade A asshole?” You questioned stubbornly, but it only fuelled her on further.
“I enjoy it as much as you enjoy Mando’s hugs at night, I’m sure,”
Oh, that was it-- you were going to punch her. You made sure the kid was out of your range, before going to launch yourself at her without hesitation-- but Mando held you back before you could.
You were halfway to her, being held back by his arms wrapped around your torso from behind. In one motion, he pushed you back to the floor, smacking you down on the wood with a thud. Cara sent him an amused smirk, trying not to blatantly laugh at your blushing cheeks.
“Stop pissing her off,” Mando said suddenly, aimed at Cara. Cara sent him an open-mouthed stare, but it was laced with laughter.
“Oh, come on. She’s the one that got pissed off,”
“And you’re the one that’s picking a fight. You’re lucky I held her back, she packs a mean punch when she wants to,”
Stars, you were trying not to blush even more at his words, but it was useless. You simply looked away, trying not to focus on Mando’s stare behind you. You picked up the kid again, slowly cradling him awake. His large eyes stared at you calmly as he cooed to you in greeting.
Soon, you’d all make it to the village, where you could get some much needed space from Cara fucking Dune-- where you and Mando could be content with your silent cuddles at night, without the threat of needing to talk about it the morning after.
Just like normal.
--
I might do a part two to this, when they’re in the village with Omera! Thanks for the ask, OP!
Word Count: ~1,200
Warnings: Death and Angst...lots of angst
A/N: I did post this as an OC a while ago and decided to adapt it to the reader insert format. The entire idea actually came to me in a dream. The whole thing. I watched it as if it was a movie, so it was just so easy to write. It’s pretty short, but there is a lot of angst packed into the mere one thousand words, so I really apologize. But, even though it is sad, I truly love this story. Everything just flowed for me. If you enjoy reading, like, reblog, comment, or even follow! Feel free to send me any constructive criticism or just start a chat with me! Happy reading <3<3
“Don’t do anything stupid,” she said as he went to save the Wizarding World. He pulled her into his arms and she kissed him for the last time. Harry was the only thing she had left. The only person that felt like her family and her home. Without him, she would be lost. She’d already lost the rest of her family. She couldn’t lose him too.
.
.
.
Y/N felt weird…she felt light…she felt like…Oh Merlin! Was that her body? Why was she looking at her body from above? Where were these members of the Order taking her? Why were there so many questions in her head?
Y/N floated above, following her body, which was placed on a cot in the destroyed Great Hall. She looked around at the carnage and the bodies. She saw Lavender, a girl in her year who was nice to her for 7 years. Colin Creevey, the sweet little boy who only wanted to fit in. Then she looked and saw Remus and Tonks. Professor Lupin had taught her so much even though he only taught for one year. And they had just had a son! Y/N felt her “breath” hitch in her chest. Then, there was her body laying not too far from a pretty large group.
Whether or not she could, Y/N jumped as she felt another presence near her.
“Y/N?”
Y/N turned to see the perfect shape of a Weasley twin next to her.
“Fred?” she asked, tears coming to her eyes. “Why, why, why can I see you and you see me?”
“You’re like me…dead…” he trailed off.
“Why are we still here though? Why am I watching everything happening?” she asked, now scared.
“I don’t know,” Fred shrugged. “This is my first time dying too,” he chuckled, “but, I think, I think we are getting one last look at our surroundings before we go wherever we go. Look there, my family is starting to show up.”
Fred pointed to the large group not far from Y/N’s body. She could see George’s pain as he knelt over his brother, his best friend. She saw Molly Weasley, one of the best mothers she knew mourning the loss of her son, something no mother should have to do.
Y/N didn’t know if she could cry, but she felt like she should be right now. She couldn’t feel any tears, but maybe that’s how it worked.
“Fred?” she asked timidly.
“Yeah?” he responded, tearing his eyes away from the family surrounding his physical body.
“Have you seen Harry?”
“He hasn’t come in yet. He, he hasn’t seen you…”
Y/N watched the scene below. Feeling sorry for those who were still alive and grieving their friends and family. It didn’t feel right.
“Fred?”
“Yeah?”
“What do you last remember?” Y/N asked, filling the silence of up above.
“I was fighting next to my brother. Percy was my brother again. Then, there was an explosion. It went dark. Then, I guess I did the same thing as you. I saw my body moved behind a suit of armor until I followed it to the Great Hall,” Fred recited as if he had seen it happen a million times over. “What about you?”
“I was in one of the corridors. Ginny wasn’t too far from me. Someone shot a curse in her direction…instinct just kicked in, but I wasn’t fast enough to block the curse. It hit me instead, I guess…” Y/N trailed off.
There was silence for a while.
“It didn’t hurt, you know,” Y/N stated, dryly. Not like she needed to tell Fred that.
“I agree. Everything just…stopped,” Fred said, eyes back on his family.
“Maybe that’s for the best,” Y/N sighed, still feeling as if she should cry.
Silence for a little longer. Y/N drifted off into her memories of good times. Times when she sat with Hermione, Ron, and most importantly, Harry in the Common Room. The nights that Harry would lead her up to the Astronomy tower and they would just watch the stars and he’d hold her close. They were the best times when she was alive. The simplest, but her happiest.
“Y/N/N.” Fred pulled her attention back to the scene below.
Y/N watched as the Great Hall doors opened and her three best friends walked in. Ron immediately ran to his family and Y/N could feel his pain. She didn’t know why, but she could. Then, her eyes went to Harry, who was slowly walking down the row.
She watched him stop in front of Lupin and Tonks. She knew Lupin had been the last connection that Harry had with his parents. Harry looked up and kept walking. He stopped when Hermione hugged him tightly, right before he had gotten to her body. That’s when he saw her. He saw Y/N’s lifeless form on the ground in front of him. Y/N watched as he fell to his knees. The silent tears streaming down his face. She wanted to call out to him from about “I’m here! Harry! I’m still here! I’m okay!”, but she knew she couldn’t. It hurt her. She was dead and it still hurt her.
“Fred?” Y/N asked, holding back a sob.
“Yeah?” he responded on cue.
“Can I go down to him?” she asked, now for the first time feeling as though her face was wet and she was crying real tears.
“Yes, you can. You might not like it though. They can’t hear you and they can’t see you. You’re invisible…”
“But, can I still hug him?” Y/N asked, now distressed.
Fred just nodded as Y/N shot down to the ground, a sensation that she couldn’t explain. She only had one destination in mind.
“Harry, Harry?” she whispered, knowing he couldn’t hear her.
She brought herself around to the front of him, looking at his face.
Tears still streaked his dirty, bloody face. Why was he always covered in blood?
“Harry, I’m here. I’m okay,” she sobbed, still not getting any recognition from the boy she loved.
“I love you, Y/N,” Harry whispered through his tears, “I’ll always love you.”
Y/N felt her heart swell. She loved this boy with all her heart and would never get to tell him. He would never hear it. So, she did all she could. She wrapped her arms, that he couldn’t feel, around him from behind. She rested her head on his hunched over shoulders and she held him one last time while he cried over her lifeless body.
She just hoped that he would be able to feel her presence there.
After wiping his face, Harry stood up. He left the Great Hall and was off to Dumbledore’s office. Y/N returned to Fred.
“Can we go now?” she asked through her heavy gasps.
“Let’s go…” Fred said as he stretched his hand out for hers. Y/N didn’t truly want to go, but she was happy to have Fred with her to make the journey.
Off they went. They went to start their afterlife where they could see others waiting for them above.
Satisfied [F. W.]
Tumblr media
Summary: y/N Bilmes is the daughter of the owner of the Zonko’s Joke Shop, Bilton Bilmes, and, in her sister’s wedding day, she remembers a night with Fred Weasley when she learned she would never be satisfied.
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Bilmes!reader (platonic)
Musical Hogwarts Series || Harry Potter Masterlist
A/N: it’s angsty because this song is angst! But I hope you all like it! It has an open end, where you can interpret it as you see fit. PS: gif is not mine so I have no idea if that’s really James (Fred) or Oliver lol. PS 2: Bilton Bilmes is the guy who works at Zonko’s when you play the app Hogwarts Mystery and my quick research told me that Bilmes might be the owner now, who knows.
Based on the song Satisfied from the musical Hamilton (no need to like the song to read/understand the fic!)
“Alright, alright. That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Now, everyone, give it up for the maid of honour: y/N Bilmes!”
Lee Jordan’s voice echoed through the ballroom, accompanied by clapping. You stood up, wiping your hands on the skirt of the blue dress, chosen by your sister.
It was a beautiful model, with a slightly rounded skirt. The blue subtly highlighted your skin tone, but it certainly wouldn’t have been the colour you would’ve chosen.
Taking your wand out of your pocket, you marched to the small arranged stage and subtly cleared your throat.
“A toast to the groom!” you exclaimed, as soon as you chose a place to stand. You were in front of your sister, who had one of the most beautiful smiles on her face. You were avoiding looking at the groom, though.
The crowd of guests — your sister could not limit herself to inviting only the most intimate — echoed your words, raising her glasses of champagne. “To the groom!”
“To the bride!” you continued.
“To the bride!” mimicked the crowd.
“From your sister, who is always by your side,” you allowed yourself to smile while keeping your eyes fixed on your sister. “To your union!”
“To the revolution!” added some guests.
You shook your head, pretending not to mind the interruption of the guests.
“And the hope that you provide!” unconsciously, you brought the tip of your wand closer to your neck and the sensation was uncomfortable, but you kept smiling.
It was a beautiful scene, after all.
Your youngest and only sister was getting married. And she was a beautiful bride...
“May you always...” you couldn’t avoid the groom any longer, “...be satisfied.”
The groom you were avoiding looking at was none other than Fred Weasley. And he was the love of your life. But the love of his life, unfortunately, was your sister.
He was beautiful that night. He had combed his red hair back and was probably using hair gel. His black suit clutched in the right places, enhancing the muscles earned in puberty.
In that light of the ballroom, his appearance reminded you of a night not long before this one...
You remember that night, and you just might regret that night for the rest of your days. You remember those soldier boys, believing they were the kings of the world just because they battled in the Battle Of Hogwarts. They were tripping over themselves to win the praise of the girls.
Hogwarts had been just reconstructed, but it looked as beautiful as ever. Generally, you and your sister avoided attending these types of social gala events, but as your own father said: the occasion was worth it.
The new Great Hall was decorated with dreamlike candles, like a dream that you can’t quite place.
You could have been distracted by the setting for hours and hours. Of course, that would have been if Fred Weasley hadn’t come in the front door as if he owned the space.
Fred, I’ll never forget the first time I saw your face, you thought.
Since that night, you have never been the same. He had intelligent eyes in a hunger-pang frame. He was saying hi to everyone, smiling brightly. Apparently, everyone knew who he was. You weren’t familiar with him, however.
When he walked towards you and said “Hi,” you forgot your social manners. It was rather embarrassing.
He chuckled at your blushed cheeks.
You weren’t used to talking to guys, but he had set your heart aflame, every part.
“Dance with me,” he asked, noticing the songs had changed.
Hesitantly, it took you a second to regain your courage and accept the hand he held out to you. The band played a song with an unromantic but slow-paced lyrics, so several other couples were clinging to each other on the improvised dance floor.
Fred was a gentleman, holding you close to him, but with an impressive delicacy. You didn’t have much experience with men, but you knew from your friends’ stories in France that they could be quite inconvenient.
The dress you were wearing was a red a shade darker than the boy’s hair, which made it look like you two matched even more. He wore a two-piece suit with an orange shirt, but the suit was slightly greenish.
He didn’t try any risky dance moves, he just swung you from side to side, and you were grateful for that. He had a worse effect on you than drinking a whole bottle of alcohol, and if he tried a more difficult dance than that, you were sure it would be shameful.
“You strike me as a woman who has never been satisfied,” he whispered, close to your left ear.
“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean. You forget yourself,” his commented made you feel offended for a split second, so you leaned away from Fred a bit.
“You’re like me,” he said, in sweeter tone.“I’m never satisfied”
He was trying to show you that being satisfied was not a bad thing. It meant you always wanted more. And he could be right about that.
“Is that right?” you tried to sound as charming as you could, using all of the flirting tactics that your Beauxbatons friends taught you.
“I have never been satisfied,” he sighed, not in a tired way, but in an enchanting way like he was playing the same game as you.
The song, unfortunately, was over and the band drastically changed the tune to something more agitated. Some couples left the dance floor, but you and the red-haired boy stayed there, only letting go of each other but remaining very close.
You decided it was time to present yourself. “My name is y/N Bilmes.”
“Fred Weasley,” he informed smirking.
“Weasley?” you repeated. The name seemed familiar.
“Yeah, but don’t let it fool you. There are a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait,” he shrugged, nervously, and offered to get yourselves a drink which you accepted.
While he was gone, somethings started to click in your mind. Your eyes wandered the room, looking for your sister. Would she like to know that you finally found someone at your level?
Fred made you feel the feeling of freedom, of seein’ the light in just a couple of minutes, perhaps a bit more. Every word said was in total agreement; he seemed to know more about you than you did yourself.
But then, you asked about his family, and his answer wasn’t promising. His hands started fidgeting, he looked askance — but his words were just trying to distract you. An attempt of making you forget who the Weasleys were, but with him away from you, the information appeared. The Weasleys were penniless, and a big, huge family.
But he is so handsome! Yeah, there was a peach fuzz that he can’t even grow, but somehow, that didn’t erase his charm. You wanted him. You desired him.
Maybe he could be yours, at least for the night. Your French friends did it all the time... Sure, you were bound to catch feelings, but he could catch them too, right?
Then you turned and saw your sister’s face, and she was helpless. She was following Fred with her eyes, and you needed no more signs of how she was feeling. Probably because you were feeling the same.
You realized three fundamental truths at the exact same time…
Fred came to you, giving you the second drink in his hands, but you barely grabbed before reaching for his arm and making him walk.
“Where are you taking me?” he asked after sipping his drink.
“I’m about to change your life,” you forced yourself to smile when he stared at you.
“Then, by all means, lead the way,” he smiled back.
The first thing you realized: You were a girl in a world in which your job was to marry rich. Not that your father would be mad if you didn’t, but the family had a significant debt that no one knew about, and it was you the one suppose to pay it.
You were the oldest and the wittiest, and the gossip in the Wizarding World was insidious, and Fred was penniless. As a Weasley, anyway, he had to be very much poor...
Perhaps he was rising... Wasn’t he one of the owners of that Joke Shop in Diagon Alley that your father was bothered about?
Ha! That doesn’t mean I want him any less, you thought.
You had approached your sister, who exchanged looks from you to the handsome boy. You raised your brows and tilted your head, wanting to say: present yourself.
She gulped before offering him her hand. “Elizabeth Bilmes. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Fred handed you his glass as he grabbed her hand with both of his.
“Bilmes?”
“My sister,” you explained, but he still seemed confused.
“No, it’s just... the name sounds familiar.”
“Oh! Our father owns the Zonkos’s Joke Shop!” exclaimed Eliza, happy to help. “Perhaps you know him.”
Fred turned his face to you. “Why didn’t you mention?” he asked, but he wasn’t mad — he was excited.
There was the second thing you realized:
He’s after you because you’re a Bilmes heir, which would elevate his status— you’d have to be naïve to set that aside.
Maybe that is why you introduce him to Eliza, and, now, that’s his bride.
Nice going, y/N, he was right — you will never be satisfied.
Eliza was smart enough to continue the conversation while you were spacing out. “Thank you for all your service.”
It was well-known that the Weasleys played a significant part in the Battle, primarily because they were Harry Potter’s family.
“If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it,” Fred kissed her hand, but he kept his eyes on hers.
You were about to roll your eyes or vomit — which one was going to happen first you had no idea— so you decided it was time to leave.
“I’ll leave you to it.”
They didn’t even look back at you, so you just turned and walked away. With both Fred’s and your drinks on hand, you drank them fastly, not even caring for the bad taste it left in your mouth.
You couldn’t look back; you couldn’t let your mind wander about the likelihood that your sister and Fred were already kissing.
Eliza has always been more proficient with boys than you, even though she was shy and humbled, her face called attention, and it didn’t take long for a brave boy to court her. Even more different from you, she always accepted.
The third thing you realized that night:
You knew your sister like you know your own mind — you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind. If you told her that you love him, she’d be silently resigned — he’d be yours.
She would say, “I’m fine”, but she’d be lying.
You walked directly towards the bar, getting yourself a couple more drinks. You would need it.
Your father bumped into you, asking what was wrong, but he would never understand. He just couldn’t.
Maybe your mom would, but at the moment, she was back in Paris.
But when you fantasize at night, it’s Fred’s eyes, as you romanticize what might have been if you hadn’t sized him up so quickly.
At least your dear Eliza’s his wife; at least you keep his eyes in your life…
But you knew, as you watched their relationship grow — as you were obliged to listen to your sister ramble to you how gorgeous and romantic Fred was — you knew he would never be satisfied. But so wouldn’t you.
Shaking your head for a what felt like a full minute you were finally able to look way from Fred and so finally able to lock the memory of that night forever in your mind.
Putting the wand back in the dress pocked, you walked down the stage towards the couple’s table, and you let a tear go down. Eliza would think you were moved by the wedding; only you would know the truth.
You could hear claps, but you didn’t care.
“I’ll always be by your side,” you whispered to your sister as you hugged her tight. She cried too, but she was way more emotional than you.
You knew who you had to hug after her.
And he was already up waiting.
“May you always be satisfied,” you whispered to Fred as you hugged him, letting yourself breath his perfume guiltless.
You felt him gulp to your words, but he said nothing and pressed his hands on your waist harder than before.
The door of the ballroom was abruptly open, and every face in the place turned to see who it was. Fred let go of you and smiled when he noticed who was walking.
Eliza seemed to be smiling too, and she rushed to the door, following her groom.
“Who’s that?” you asked the lovely woman sitting down closer to you, but she was also so happy that you thought she wasn’t going to answer.
“Fred’s brother,” she explained to your surprise.
You looked at her table where already five of Fred’s siblings were sat.
“Another?”
The pretty red-haired girl answered after giggling.
“That one is his twin,” she said while you both — and all the guests — watched the touching hug Fred shared with the man walking in. “He left just after the war; he was so traumatized with almost dying and almost losing Fred.”
“He wanted to calm down alone,” added one of the red-haired boys who was seating next to the girl.
“Harry did the same, so the whole family understood George’s point,” finished the girl.
You stared back at Eliza, Fred and Fred’s twin. Eliza did mention Fred had a brother just like him, but you thought she meant like someone with similar personalities, not the same face.
The three walked towards the family table, and all of the red-hairs got up.
“Oh, Georgie!” gasped the elder woman before hugging the tall man.
He hugged everyone, even your parents and he stopped next to you.
Eliza made the introductions.
“George, this is y/N, my sister,” Eliza said, putting a hand on your shoulder while you offered your hand to the man.
George looked down at your hand, but completely ignored and pulled you in a hug, that made you gasp in surprise. He had a tight embrace.
“We’re family now, y/N. Get used to hugs,” he muttered before letting you go.
You smiled, sympathetic. He was as beautiful as his twin, but somehow his eyes were... better.
“She’s like my own twin,” continued Eliza to George who chuckled at the comment. “Sure, we don‘t look alike. But she’s everything to me.”
“Thanks, sis. You’re all to me too.”
The twins laughed at your exchange of love with your sister, and you two pretended to be angry. Then your father asked for the floor, and the whole moment was interrupted.
Someone got George a chair right next to yours, so you were both facing your father, and he kept thanking the boys for buying the Zonko’s and restoring it.
“I knew my best costumers would be my bosses one day,” he said, and the whole place laughed.
It was George who requested to talk after, and he made such a cute speech that even you were moved. It seemed that George was the emotional one from the twins, much like Eliza was the emotional one from you and her.
“And I’m sorry I came a little late,” George continued just before ending. “Forgot the address I had to Apparate.”
As expected, he finished making everyone laugh.
The night went on better than you imagined. There was a moment there when your French friends made you embarrassed, then it was your parents’ opportunity to make you ashamed, but after a couple of drinkings, you were laughing at their dance moves.
All the Weasleys were marvellous, and all of Fred’s brothers danced with you, even the married one — even though the dance you two shared was much more to make everyone laugh at your moderns moves than anything else.
You knew Fleur, his wife, from back at school, so you two talked for a couple of minutes about the time at Beauxbatons.
And you also danced with George, who was a fun guy with a beautiful smile. He talked about his time away from home — how much about himself he learned, like how different from his twin he was.
“But at the end of the day, I missed him more than anything,” he had said, and you could only imagine how hurt that boy must have been to feel like leaving all his friends and family behind.
You laid your head on his shoulder while he moved around you, and the music slowed down. He realized that you were breathing hard.
“What’s it?’ asked George whispering.
“My sister,” you said simply. That was all you could tell.
Your sister was still beautiful, even after sweating on the dance floor, and now she was tied to Fred, just as you clung to George. They suddenly turned, and you looked at Fred, who smiled sadly in your direction.
“She’ll be happy as his bride,” you said to George, taking your head off his shoulder and looking him in the eye.
George seemed to agree, but he said nothing.
“And she’ll be satisfied.”
He then tilted his head, firming his hand on your waist.
“What about you?”
“Huh?” you frowned, confused.
“Are you satisfied?”
You took one last look at Fred over his twin’s shoulder before facing George again. And what seemed unlikely, happened — you smiled, this time, truly happy.
“I’ll never be satisfied.”
“I’m firing her.”
Jungkook laughed loudly at your dramatic statement. Looking up at you shirtless from where he was slumped on the bed—long given up on taking the rest of his clothes off. “No you’re not.”
“I am.” You insisted, kicking off your heels. One hit the closet door and you sat with your back to Jungkook, perched on the edge of the mattress.
He sat up, sighing softly as he undid the zip of your dress, helping you out without you even having to ask. “For flirting with your boyfriend?”
Okay. Now that he’d said it out loud it did sound a little over the top. Not that you’d admit that though. “Babe, I’m pretty sure that’s not a valid reason.”
“Inappropriate behaviour.” You were stubborn.
You heard him snicker before you were encased in warmth, his arms wrapping around your shoulders. “I love you. You’re silly.” You hummed. Not in agreement. It was just because he was nosing the crook of your neck. Felt good. “And drunk.”
“Fine.” He had you there. You were acting irrational because of the amount of vodka you’d consumed. But that was only because someone new at work had quite blatantly been flirting with him while you’d gone out for drinks. The store you were manager at did get togethers once every few months and you brought along your boyfriends/girlfriends/friends. It wasn’t everyone’s scene, but those who came enjoyed. You’d invited Sungha to be nice. You hadn’t realised she’d grow an uncontrollable lady boner for Jungkook.
“Maybe I can’t fire her but I can give her all the weekend shifts. That’ll teach her.”
You boyfriend laughed again, it rumbled in your ear. His hair, that could probably do with a trim by now—unless he was planning on growing it even longer, which didn’t surprise you—tickled your jaw line. “I must say, this is kinda flattering. Never knew you were so passionate about me.”
You rolled your eyes. “Well, would you like it if you had to watch someone flirting with me all night?” And shamelessly at that. At one point you’d gone to the restroom and had come back to find her in your seat. There she’d stayed. It was as if you hadn’t introduced him as your boyfriend not two hours previous.
“She wasn’t flirting with me all night.” He felt you stiffen in his grip and thought better. “But no, I wouldn’t.” You kept quiet, lost in your own head. “Hey.” He nudged. “Come on, face me.”
You listened. Ended up straddling him in the middle of your bed. Arms loose around his neck. He squeezed you against him. “You’re not too bothered by this, are you? You know I’m not interested in her in any way, right?”
His voice was gentle. You felt warmth spread over you. “I know. “ Of course you knew that. “I’m just annoyed more than anything. It’s the principle of it all.” God, you were off again. “I’m her manager and she’s only been there five minutes.” Jungkook listened sincerely, nodding in agreement once you were done. You stole a kiss before grumbling. “She was so obviously into you.”
He chuckled softly, rubbing your noses together. “I did look good tonight. That’s what happens when you have a really hot boyfriend, I guess.”
You snorted. “Be quiet.” As if Jungkook could ever be full of himself. You knew he didn’t think like that at all, but he always did such a good job at cheering you up.
It was his turn to kiss you now. He was naughty though. Slipped some tongue in. Distracted you for a moment. “You are hot though.” You agreed quietly.
“You’re hotter.” He squeezed your ass to emphasise. You would think after all these years together your attraction for one another would simmer down. Not in a bad way. It had just been six years and you could still get tingly from one single kiss. The power of Jeon Jungkook.
You shifted in his lap, letting his mouth make sloppy work of your neck. “She’s working next weekend.”
He groaned. Not for why you thought. “You being all stern like this is turning me on.”
“Yeah?” You smirked as he lifted his head. “Tomorrow you can finally build that shoe rack for the closet.”
“That? Not as sexy.” You went to whack his chest but he gripped your wrist, attaching your lips again. He whined in your mouth. “You made me hard.”
“What do you want me to do about it?” Genuine question.
“Mm. Have a few ideas...” He noticed your raised eyebrow. “For real? You’re not too drunk? Too tired?”
“I’m merry,” you corrected, much to his amusement. “And sucking dick doesn’t take much effort.” You pushed at his shoulders and he willingly fell back.
“I can’t get all the pleasure,” he insisted as you began to hastily undo his fly. “Let me
go down on you.”
“After.” You dismissed.
“Let’s save time. Sixty nine. Wait.” He looked perplexed. “I didn’t mean for that to rhyme.”
You laughed but nodded your head. “Okay.”
His eyes lit up. “Okay!” He wriggled to the correct direction of the bed, jeans and underwear off in a flash. Naked before your eyes.
You were a little slower. Standing up to shimmy out of your dress before bouncing back on the mattress. Kissing again without taking a breath. His dick in your hand as you began to jerk him off, and your ass in his. He squeezed and pulled before giving it a light slap. “Great ass.”
He complimented you like he hadn’t had access to it for years, making you giggle before you felt him tearing at the lace of your underwear. Impatient. Horny. You clambered out of them, your grip on his cock loosening, but he couldn’t take anymore teasing anyway.
“Jump on,” he commanded. Voice uneven. You hadn’t even had a chance to take your bra off yet, but oh well. Needs must.
You didn’t know who started first, but rather frustratingly you did know who finished first. Probably had to do with the fact Jungkook really knew how to work it in this position. Nothing made him happier than a face full of your pussy. His words. And with his dick in your mouth, maybe you were a lot more sensitive than usual. Sensory overload. It was a whole other level of intimate, and you just fell victim to it.
“Knew you’d cum first,” he gleed, mouth all wet and sticky.
Yours popped off his cock to land an insult before going back for more. “Dick.”
He chuckled. “Yeah that’s what you’re sucking right now.” Lightly spanking your ass, he blew cold air along your core. You jumped. A surge of hot, needy want shooting straight through you.
“No, wait!” He panicked, when you slid him from your mouth again. Misreading your movement. “Was just messing around. Oh.” He exhaled, realising what you were doing now as you got out of his grip and moved down to his lap. “Shit. Okay. Thought you were tired?”
You gripped the base of his dick, angling it to your entrance before pushing down. “Want it,” you said, moaning at the feeling of him stretching you out.
He moaned back and you felt him try to sit up a little before he gave up, moaning again when you began moving. He gripped one hand to your hip, unable to stop gliding his hips with each thrust downwards. You leant forward, hands on top of his thighs for leverage, and you just knew he had a great view of your ass. You moved quickly and determinedly. Making rhythm with the squelchy, wet noises coming from between you.
His other hand ran up your spine until he couldn’t reach anymore. “Jesus. What’s gotten into you?” He chuckled in disbelief, breathing laboured. “Slow down. You’re gonna make me cum.”
You moaned. That’s exactly what you wanted. You raised up a little, his hand now at your ass, cupping the roundness, before his thumb slipped between the cheeks. You jumped at the sensation. All hot suddenly. “Mm. This fine tonight?” He asked with a low murmur.
You nodded, realising he couldn’t see you so you tried your best to make some valid noise. “Uh huh.”
You moaned when he applied pressure to the sensitive rim, circling it with a skill he’d had much practice with. He really couldn’t resist anything to do with your ass. In any way, shape or form. “You make me feel so good, baby.” He got out between shallow breathing. “Spoil me. I love you.” Voice sweet with a confession he’d uttered a million times before.
“L-love you too,” you stuttered out, noticeably slowing down now because you were too overcome with pleasure. He moved, thumb leaving you for his hand to hold your middle. Clutching at your stomach. Any skin he can reach really.
“Not fair. I wanna touch you more.” There was a pout in his voice, and before you could even think about replying, he was up. Bare chest against your back. Strong arms around your middle, clinging you to him. “Wh-at are you doing?” You gasped, his dick now lodged inside you deep. You were both slick with sweat, and it just felt so damn good.
He used one hand to unclasp your bra, pulling it down from the centre. It fell against your middle, and he kissed your neck in a frenzy. “I’m taking control now.” He managed to whisper, squeezing one of your breasts, and then you were on your back.
You didn’t know how it happened so fast. You didn’t recall him leaving your body, or when he pushed back in. Dazed. But he had, and it felt amazing. His thrusts fast paced and powerful.
“Oh. Jungkook–!” You cried, wrapping your arms around his neck because that’s all you could do. Cling desperately to him. Your legs followed, tight around his middle.
“Feels good?” His teeth were bared, voice tight as he kept fucking you relentlessly. He grabbed your thighs, hiking your legs up further. The mattress groaned, your body ramming into it harder every passing second.
“Mmmhmm–!”
You were loud and free with your noises now, not caring a damn, because this was what it was all about. This kind of pleasure. And you knew no one else would be able to satisfy you like this. This was the power of years together. Jungkook and you were so in tune that you were one person when connected like this.
He grunted after a few minutes, pace turning uneven. “I’m not gonna last any longer. ‘Specially with you moaning like that.” As he said that, another moan dragged from your throat. “Fuckk.” His face fell into the crook of your neck. He was panting, brow soaked with sweat, and you knew you needed to put him out of his misery. Your pleasure meant the most to him and he wouldn’t give up until he was certain you were fulfilled. Even if he was close to passing out.
“I already came really good thanks to you,” you whispered against where you thought his ear was. “It’s okay. Cum in me, baby. You know you want to.”
He choked on his whimper, coming undone almost instantly because of your words. Hips jerking as he spilled inside of you, until there was nothing left and he couldn’t take anymore. He slid from you naturally, growing flaccid.
“You’re evil,” he whined after he’d come to, turning his head to look at you. You could just make out his face behind all that tousled hair.
“Don’t talk nonsense. Since when has asking you to bust a nut inside me been evil?”
He yawned, chuckling as he rolled off you, slipping an arm under the pillow to prop his head up. “It’s evil. So is jumping my dick when I wasn’t prepared. It’s a wonder I didn’t cum the second you pushed down on me”
You shrugged. “Wouldn’t’ve minded. Wouldn’t be the first time...”
“Cheeky,” he chided, and you scooched closer to him, a grin on your face. He kissed you and pulled back, running some hair behind your ear. “You okay now? Green eyed monster gone?”
You grumbled. “I wasn’t jealous.” He looked at you with one of those looks. One that told you he thought you were talking shit. “Okay. Maybe slightly.” Like you said, more annoyed than anything. Sungha was still working next weekend. No amount of good banging would distract you from that conclusion.
Jungkook smiled at you softly, hand now on your cheek. “As if I would ever want another woman as much as I want you.”
“Cheesy.” But you couldn’t help your own smile.
“That’s me.” He yawned again, arms in the air as he stretched. You watched him for a moment before he realised. He knew what was coming before you even began saying it. You still did though.
“You need to cut your hair.”
“Shut up.”
He really would not have it. It wasn’t like you hated his long hair. Actually, you loved it. Wish he’d grown it sooner. But he still needed regular trims. You were sick of waking up in the morning thinking you were sharing the bed with Bigfoot.
He went to kiss you but you blocked him with your hands, giggling as he tried to barge his way through. “Hey!” He complained. “Let me kiss you woman!”
He grabbed a hold of your waist, tickling you, and just like that you began shrieking, wriggling about, trying to get away from him. “No, wait! Stoppp,” you yelled, trying to push him away. “Jungkook, stop. Seriously!!” He was rubbing his face against your cheek, stubble on his top lip tickling you even more. “Stop! I’m getting your cum everywhere.”
The amount of times you had to wash your sheets because of “accidents” was getting frustrating. He understood that too. And as much as he loved doing laundry (yeah, you didn’t understand it either...), he didn’t love it that much. He stopped instantly, landing a kiss on your cheek.
“And who’s fault is that? If you weren’t such a cumslut...”
“EWWW.” You roared, pushing him away again. “Shut up, that will never be sexy!”
You two had this thing together. It was weird, but then again you both weren’t exactly normal. He would find something utterly cringeworthy said in porn, or you did—maybe you both did—and you would laugh about it together for days, sometimes even weeks. You’d come out with it at random times, with the sole purpose of making the other laugh. Although you did admit, tonight your reaction was... over the top, to say the least. You were drunk after all. No. Merry!
“Shhhh,” he laughed, wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug. “You’re yelling the whole place down. We have neighbours, y’know...”
You settled down, giggling softly together before you began to grow sleepy against his body warmth. Of course he had to disturb you. “Got enough energy to get to the bathroom? I need a piss.”
You whined. “Gross.”
“How is that gross? It’s a natural body function.” You stayed quiet until he had to nudge you. “C’mon. We need to get ready for bed.”
“Fine.” You huffed but didn’t move.
“I’ll carry you.” He sang softly.
And he did.
‘This is gonna be one hell of a night, I know you want it...’ ~ Kim Petras, There Will Be Blood.
Author’s Note: Basically, this is a fic in response to #ThatOneFic on AO3. I got a little bit of ‘if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em.’ syndrome and then decided I was better than that.  Could have written the one that’s in my drafts, but doing my Director’s Cut and then talking to everyone about it really got me like...
Why not start some probably not very good smut with murder, after all? 😉
Can I disclaimer myself? The notes for this (written, as tradition states at like, 3am) are just pure filth. And I was horrified reading them back. So yeah, you’re not... getting that, but you’re getting remnants of what it could have been...
Added 800 words during the editing process because he needed it. I’ll fight for my vision of Andrew one fic at a time...
Innocence - Halestorm
Small ‘need to know’ info: David is a policeman, and readers oldest brother.
Premise: When a drugs deal goes awry on the wrong side of town, and the police on the case, Andrew has one place to go. You’re used to this behaviour, but there is something about that dangerous side of him you just can’t resist - and you don’t want him to hold back...
Words: 5639
Warnings: Swearing / Sex / Sinday/Sunday Smut / Drugs references
____ You see it from the outside You're running toward the wall Swinging from your blind side But you don't know me at all I've been here too many times before And your tears don't mean a thing I only come when you scream Is this what you wanted Did I make your dreams come true? You're sitting in a corner Wondering what you got into And you ache for things you don't understand That your tears don't mean a thing And I only come when you scream, I told you Child, don't follow me home You're just too perfect for my hands to hold If you choose to stay, you'll throw it all away And I just want to take your innocence There's no such thing as fate Only yourself to blame You never walked away Child, don't follow me home You're just too perfect for my hands to hold If you choose to stay, you'll throw it all away And I just want to take your innocence
---
The scent of bleach filled the apartment; opening the front door gave you nothing more than an instant headache. You were lucky it didn’t make you gag, and you stood blinking for a few minutes – surely the feeling of your eyes stinging was only phycological?! Slipping your bag from your shoulder you exhaled deeply, followed by an inhale you instantly regretted, groaning and dragging a hand over your face. There could only be one culprit. What the hell had he done this time? He was probably long gone by now, tidied away and back home “ANDREW!” This was certainly more a cry of frustration to yourself; it wasn’t like you’d actively get mad at someone so volatile. This time you were met by an answer, coming from vaguely the direction of your bathroom. “Okay. But it wasn’t my fault this time.” You jumped immediately, dropping your bag, hand to your heart. “Geez! Are you incapable of giving me anything other than a heart attack!?!” Instead of being verbally answered, the man himself appeared; the white shirt and black slacks were ill fitting. Like he’d just grabbed the first possible thing he could from some shelf or other. Judging by the sizing, they were likely your brother David’s. Your eyes instantly narrowed; only one reason Andrew wouldn’t be wearing his own clothes. “What the fuck did you do?” He held both his hands up, the attempt to stop you from jumping to conclusions clearly not working by your unimpressed face: “Got caught in the crossfire, that’s all.” You folded your arms, daring him to pull the other: “Oh yeah, my whole apartment smells like bleach because you got caught in the crossfire.” His face was deadly serious: “You can’t expect me not to retaliate now, can you.” Your body’s instant reaction to that was to move away from him, but your jerk away was not followed by a step back, “So you did kill someone.” His eyes flicked over your shoulder for a split second, “Not exactly.” “Andrew!” “Would you rather I was dead?” He touched his hand to his chest, immediately making you defensive. “Don’t say things like that--!” Of course not, you never liked thinking that it was a distinct possibility. The corporate world of the men you used to date – of the man you almost married – was a million miles from the one standing in front of you right now. Andrew turning up here unannounced was not unusual, but it usually meant something had pushed him here. It was that thought that prompted your next question; “What happened?” “Drugs run gone wrong.” Too blunt. You opened you mouth, eyes going point a-z - you weren’t really looking at anything, you just didn’t want to look into his eyes when you knew all they’d show was how deadly serious he was – “You know, sometimes I wish you’d be just a little more subtle with me, Andrew.” You shook your head “But, I know that’s not your strong suit.” He gave a shrug, “You asked. Usually you don’t want to know.” “Yeah well, now I wished I hadn’t.” You indicated to your bathroom, “What state is it in?” “It’s fine.” You pushed passed him with a huff; “I’ll be the judge of that!” You couldn’t actually stand in there for more than a few seconds at a time, but when finally you deemed it safe, you couldn’t help but conclude that he was right. Even if he was on thin ice. “How much damn blood was there for you to need that much bleach?” Andrew gave you a single slow blink; “I like to be thorough.” There was an edge to his voice that sent a shudder up your spine that wasn’t entirely unpleasant. Yeah, you knew that. “Did you come all the way up to my apartment in blood stained clothes?!” “Not exactly.” “This I don’t want to hear.” “I know there’s cameras. I know the blind spots and trust me, no one saw me.” That was about the only thing he’d said so far you did trust. Andrew was far too good at this – if he said no one saw him, then no one saw him. Or they were already sworn to silence. “And your clothes are where?” Because if they weren’t in a dumpster about 6 miles away, you’d throttle him yourself. “Oh no, you-” “It better not have been a shirt I liked!” This blink meant nothing, and his face remained stoic. So it probably was, now doused in someone else’s blood. Vital evidence, of course. You sighed and stepped towards him, “The police?” “Drug land wars. It’s gonna look like exactly what it was.” “Promise me this isn’t traceable?” “It wasn’t our side of town. But you know that means nothing.” “A…Andrew…” You took his face in your hands, beneath your fingertips the tiny litter of scars you could still feel, but not see. His body was littered with such marks – you doubted he’d ever consider healing properly before he was off to the next big ‘adventure’. “Tell me you’re gonna be okay?” He placed his hands gently on your waist, but shook his head, “I can’t. You know that.” Andrew would stretch the truth, perhaps even lie by omission; but never blatantly. Not to you – not to someone who cared about him in the way you did. You shook your head, fingers holding him a little firmer before you placed your forehead to his: “I’m just glad you’re safe.” It was all you could say, but you meant it. It could have been his blood all over someone else’s clothes, with their significant other now holding them the way you were holding him. Instead they were likely getting news that the person they loved was dead, and you got to feel Andrew Cody breathe. He wasn’t holding you like a man who loved you, you weren’t even close. You weren’t about to unpick his feelings right this second, but you knew exactly what that meant.   “You can’t stay, can you?” He shook his head again, slowly, detaching himself from you. “Not today.” Not I’m sorry, not I love you, just not today. His brothers were at the scene, but Andrew was the one that was in trouble. You wondered if that meant he should be staying – or if he thought staying would put you in danger. This was meant to be his safe house… then again, maybe he needed to get back to his family. Andrew had a knack for disappearing by coming to you – for exactly that reason, no one would think to look for him in this part of town – if the Cody’s didn’t know where he’d got to, they’d be facing chaos. You weren’t about to tell him that his presence god-knows-how-long later dressed in someone else’s clothes probably would only add to that. “If you need me…” “I’ll come back.” He only gave a single nod, those blue eyes telling nothing but the truth. Andrew let you steal a single kiss before he was heading toward your front door, he opened it without a word, pausing only to half raise his hand to say goodbye. You wanted to tell him you loved him, it didn’t seem like an appropriate moment, and with a last lingering look your apartment door closed, leaving you alone. You let out another breath, this time loud as it built into a groan, hands running into your hair: ‘What the fuck am I doing!?’
***
You weren’t exactly in the know on this type of thing, and living across Melbourne in your apartment, you saw Andrew by arrangement, or when he chose to see you. Crime in Melbourne didn’t interest you until it had to – and half the time it was only because he forced your hand. A shoot out on the wrong side of town attracted the attention of the police. The Cody’s weren’t in favour with the police at the best of times, so this only made the cops go haywire. You were none the wiser, but the boys knew it. The law would be all over them – Baz was surprised that they weren’t already, and to counteract this, quickly managed to set a plan in motion. Although it was enacted with an air of panic. “Alright! This time we take no chances, its lockdown. We can’t go anywhere; we move slow and cautious and don’t do anything.” Baz stilled and thought for a moment before turning to his friend, the most likely candidate to get into the wrong kind of trouble. They’d all been there, sure, but it was Andrew the police would come down hardest on. “If we do, we gotta stay put – if necessary, hide. Pope, that means you-!” Craig and Darren immediately began arguing about “How can the house be safe!?” and Baz had the job of reasoning about alibis and how they usually got out of this with help from Ezra, commonly - without evidence - nothing went anywhere… and trying to knock some sense into their panic. Andrew wasn’t hearing any of this, instead he just sat calmly, eyes on a fixed spot – staying here wasn’t his only option. In fact, it was an option he’d rather not take. He stood, wandering off to his bedroom, exiting barely a minute later with a bag. At this point the others realised that he was in fact, leaving, and their yelling after him didn’t cause a turn back. Andrew Cody left without a word. “Andrew!! POPE! Where the HELL do you think you’re going man?!” Baz was too preoccupied with his friend to bother holding the other two back, and yet they didn’t attempt to chase their older brother. He knew the answer that Andrew wouldn’t give; “Y/N.” Darren turned to him with wide eyes; “Is that even safe-!?!” Baz thought that was doing you a disservice as a head strong city girl, you knew what you were getting into. You knew who Andrew was. “Man, I don’t even know where she lives. It’s perfect. After all, who is gonna ask a girl - who barely knows the names of three drugs - where the hell Andrew Cody is. She’s the last place you’d think to look...”
They all heard the car engine start, and as it pulled from the drive they were left in silence. “Should we stop him?” “Nope. It’s not worth it. Pope’s made his choice, best he lay low and out of it for now.” Craig tipped nearly his entire body as he mused his thought; “How did he even get her anyway!?!” Baz frowned, “It’s not about how he got her,” Although he was sure he knew the answer to that,  “it’s about how he’s keeping her.” “Fear?” Baz was almost worried that that was Darren’s gut answer and shook his head firmly. “No. No that’s not it. Pope wouldn’t hurt her.” “You sure about that. He’s got pretty violent tendencies...” This particular incident was a case in point. “No. Because she really WOULD leave.” Unless it was truly accidental; you’d kicked him out for drugs – he lay a hand on you (in a way you didn’t like; he’d seen the scratches and bruises that often adorned your hips that you seemed to like showing off sometimes) Baz wouldn’t think you’d be incapable of calling the cops yourself. That wasn’t a thought he liked. “Oh, she loves him, dearly…” “So what is she to him?” There was a tone of disgust in Craig’s voice, Baz gave him a significant look, “At the very least, a safer space than he’ll ever have here.”
** Weekends alone were nice. You liked waking in someone’s arms, you liked wasting your time on nothing, maybe you’d be treated to a walk somewhere, but it was likely that if Andrew was staying the weekend, you’d not leave your apartment. But alone you could very nearly sleep the whole thing away, eat whenever you wanted – maybe do a grocery store snack run, see your friends at all your favourite Melbourne coffee bars, take your car up to your parents for the weekend to see the kids… but staying under the covers with nothing but your dreams was the priority.   And given that the smell of bleach was finally completely dissipating from your apartment, tonight was the best you slept in days. However, when you woke this morning you weren’t alone. Which was fine either way, your boyfriend had a key and this behaviour wasn’t uncommon, but he was not beside you in bed. Rather, standing at the foot of it staring at you. Andrew Cody wasn’t even blinking, and the only thing that would indicate that he wasn’t a statue, was the rise and fall of his chest for every breath he took. He’d been here for a while, simply observing your sleeping form, your movements and your breathing; Andrew didn’t want to wake you when the dreams seemed good. He didn’t scare you, or make you jump. If anything his presence made you feel a little safer, but by the indication of your clock it was nearly midday… what was he doing here? You flattened yourself out onto your back as you stared right back at him, but his eyes didn’t hold yours very long, raking themselves down your body. The fluctuation of his breathing changed, and you could read that like a book. This man was clearly DTF. And although you couldn’t possibly believe that Andrew would make the journey across the city just for that, it wasn’t out of Andrew’s remit. “What?” Your voice was still soft as you pushed yourself up with your arms so you sat. “Andrew? Baby, what?” Your pulse was elevating to meet the look on his face, the hunger in his eyes. Clearly your body was more than happy to read the signals of his and be roused from its dreams to give signals of its own. Your tongue danced across your bottom lip as you lowered your gaze to the rest of Andrew’s body. You couldn’t deny that you could feel the rise in your arousal and this time, as his eyes came up to meet yours again, your body tingled under the weight of his stare. You wanted him right now too. “C’mere.” You encouraged him, tipping your body back to rest on your hands, head inclined. Andrew didn’t need more than that invitation, crawling onto the bed, hands either side of you. You could hear his breathing now, and he was close, but still not touching you. You continued watching the way he was still staring at your body, the change to the colour of his eyes – he was putting too much thought into this and it was torture. Andrew inhaled you, and you could almost feel the heat coming from him. For a moment you realised you’d been forgetting to breathe, and as you did so your body gave a throb, stomach knotting deliciously. The scent of him covered you. With Andrew this close you didn’t think there was any going back from that. “Do you want me? Andrew? Babe? Do you want me? You can say it...” He still wasn’t looking at your face, and although his head movements were neither confirmation or denial, they were indecisive. With no verbal reaction, but consent certainly needed in order to continue, you closed that gap, grazing your lips to his cheek you nudged his head back just enough to ghost his lips. “I want you, too. Baby, I need you.” If he wouldn’t consent verbally, you would simply let him know you did. He immediately let out a growl, pushing you back into the sheets. Even if you expected kisses, you didn’t expect them to be this harsh and it was very nearly shocking – was Andrew only trying to hold himself back? He pinned you down; knees by your hips, feet between your legs. But you didn’t struggle against him, hands shooting to his shoulders and through his hair – Andrew didn’t pin your wrists. You could feel your hips widening for him – knowing immediately that you wanted him to do whatever the fuck he wanted to you. Shifting himself so that you were still pinned, Andrew pulled your underwear down your legs, discarding them. All the while his lips were still on yours and he wasn’t affording you much breathing room. Some would say this was too close, but this was just where he liked to be. His hands ran smoothly back up your thighs and your hips wiggled underneath his, looking for anything. Andrew answered you sooner than expected, clearly he wasn’t in the mood to wait for this, and slowed his hands to part your thighs just that little more. You immediately moaned into his kiss as Andrew ran his index finger teasingly through your folds. You knew he wouldn’t stop there, and you had to leave his lips in order to draw enough breath to whine as he circled your clit slow. Andrew freed you from being pinned just so you could feed your legs into a more comfortable position whilst still giving him access to you; already flushed, you knew he wouldn’t have to do much to work you up. Dipping his fingers into your arousal as he brushed his thumb across your clit, it wasn’t long before he pushed a finger inside you and even shorter before another joined it – widening you for him. You weren’t even sure you were fully awake yet and your mouth to brain filters hadn’t kicked in, hands shaking as you undid the buttons on your own shirt. “Fuck baby, I need you inside me. Oh, baby please, fuck me, hard. Harder. Edge me, tease me, make me yours.” Clearly neither of you were quite sure where that had come from by the look on his face, but if Andrew thought that was what you wanted, that was what he would give you. Andrew knew what the way you were talking was doing to him as he undid his belt and jeans; it was weird to hear out of your mouth sure, but you were only succeeding in turning him on even more. He removed his fingers from you and thrust in with more force than you expected – causing you to cry out again; not entirely in pain. He growled, lips to your neck as his nails dug into your hips, you pulled his body closer, locking your legs behind him. You drew Andrew deeper; but that was exactly where you wanted him. Here we go with another set of bruises I luckily never have to explain… No trips to the beach for another week, then. If this was back at his, if he’d have called you and asked you to come over – which wasn’t often but it did happen - then this would have to be quiet, and you got the feeling that he was going to be so rough with you that it would be impossible to be silent. But also Andrew liked it when you weren’t – he liked hearing the sounds that he was capable of drawing from you. For just a second he placed his head against yours, and that single kiss was gentle; you thought you were already breathless, perhaps in anticipation, but still managed to say it: “Baby, I will be as loud as you want.” It didn’t take long before you were blissfully sighing his name, moaning and arching you back into him and the travel of his hands. You had to admit you were insanely turned on, but also, in your house you could turn the volume to 10, because that’s what he enjoyed. Andrew didn’t hurt you when you had sex, it wasn’t something that occurred to him; sure he held you tight enough to leave marks and scratches, but he wasn’t actively hurting you. So him being this rough was an unusual experience. But Andrew also didn’t usually talk, beyond the occasional phenomena of his own quiet sighs, and his whispers of your name. So, you weren’t sure if you had unlocked or awakened something in him that was always there, but he never knew you wanted, or Andrew was simply playing into your request – but the threatening growl in his voice as he spoke basically had you doing as he commanded on the spot, “I’m gonna make you cum over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and then when you can’t take it any more I’ll finally cum for you.” You whimpered your ‘what!?’ in such a way that it didn’t even sound like a word – your fingers clinging onto him and tangling into his shirt for dear life as he continued his reckless rhythm inside you. You felt too high on the feeling of him fucking you, but you would take him at his word – that was exactly what Andrew was going to do, unless you told him to stop. And he would, if he didn’t want to hurt you, he would. He'd be out the door faster than he could apologise if not. Did you want him to stop, was the question? Instead you responded in kind; “Fuck me Andrew. Do whatever you want with my body, it’s yours.”
Andrew didn’t say anything unless it was worth saying, unless he meant it (at least sober) - that was like an unwritten rule. Although maybe with you like this he wasn’t entirely sober, ever. But it felt so heat of the moment and foreign to him - what he was telling you wasn’t calculated… it wasn’t even truly blunt information but it turned you on. And that clench of your muscles around him was something that he could feel. The same way he could feel your pulse under his fingertips, and your warmth: that was your life, your heartbeat and it jumped with your excitement. The sound of it with the ticking of his watch; everything was suddenly so sensory to him. It ran wild the harsher he was with you and the harder you panted; desperate to take on more air. He didn’t have to associate that sound with life, either, he knew that noise when taking it. Andrew wasn’t sure if he was supposed to find that sexy or not; but he thought he did.
Every little sign of your body was all he needed; Andrew could pay attention to that minutia of detail, whether it be the sounds you made, or the shake that you fought so hard against, the movement of your body under his, how it felt to have your fingertips glide over him, for your lips to press into his skin, smaller tensions of resistance… but also how it felt to be inside you - how being a little rough and talking a little dirty seemed only to make you wetter, a little tighter, a lot more desperate for him - as if suddenly all your senses had heightened too. Maybe this was just something you both needed. But all of this was bringing you pleasure - that’s what mattered most. That Andrew was bringing you something positive; HE was doing this to you. He didn’t know why you stuck around; he gave you plenty of reason to leave. But you proved a point, even if really you knew you were only proving it to yourself; that Andrew Cody could make a positive impact on people’s lives. You wanted nothing more than to desperately confirm to him that he wasn’t just some tool his family could use for violence without mercy. Andrew could be this for someone; a life partner, needed, wanted, loved... And it wasn’t just you - but the way your whole family felt about him; Andrew deserved a real family.
He watched the sweat dance on your skin for a minute, acutely aware of the way your nails were digging into him; “Andrew, PLEASE, give me more-!” You weren’t just a someone though. You were you. You of all the damn people in this city, let alone the world. You could have anyone you wanted - you almost got married. Whether that man be long gone or not, occasionally it crossed Andrew’s mind that if it wasn’t for him coming into your life, your absolute fascination with him, the fact that this was practically an affair… you would be married right now; in some extravagant mansion in some fancy part of Melbourne. But you weren’t, you were with him - having loud rough sex in your apartment in a moment where you were thinking things didn’t get much better than that. Andrew proved to you that you didn’t have to settle for what you thought you wanted - but you could just as easily find what you really needed, even in the most unexpected of places. For Andrew, he couldn’t help but admit there was an excitement about the potential of corrupting someone not from his world, nor should have ever crossed the line into it. And yet here you were, beneath him.
He didn’t go back on any of his growled promises; and every time you came it felt different. Because this wasn’t just about one thing – not just the physical act; it was how you were feeling about him, and how Andrew felt for you. How he listened intently to what your body was telling him and changed it up - how you vocalised what you liked (and maybe when he got a little too rough). Emotions might have been hard to find in Andrew Cody but they were buried there somewhere, and they were real, and sometimes he gave you a glimpse of them. Even if it was just the look on his face right now, as you came for him again, and again, and again… The slight sympathy in his features as you begged him to cum for you, in short sharp breaths that he could really barely register as a sentence: hot and flushed and sweaty and spent… but his; completely his. Heart, Body, Mind and Soul. And Andrew didn’t need to look at the marks across your skin to know it.
By the time he did finally come undone inside you, your energy was completely drained, body shaking beneath his. You were both drenched in sweat and breathing hard – but every second had been worth it – and your body was singing from every single high you were still on. You couldn’t be sure you were even down from the first yet. You weren’t sure if your mental note should be: we should really do this again, or, we really should never do this again! So you’d put a pin in it for now, far too tired to do more than sift your fingers through his hair as he lay quietly on your chest listening to your heartbeat. Whatever that decision would be, you couldn’t help thinking on the fact that you wanted this more often, you would keep Andrew here if you could… If you thought that was ever possible. One day you’d work up the nerve to broach him moving in, for now you lay still and quiet. Now wasn’t the time… Now you just wanted to get lost in the way he made you feel. ** You had barely left the bed all weekend, if only to shower. (Which hardly ever turned out as innocent as it sounded). Usually exhausted, but hardly something to worry about. Andrew took good care of you. But he really had worn you out and after he’d set you on the sofa, so that he could change your sheets and tidy up, Andrew returned to your sleeping form. He tilted his head to watch you; remnants of that afterglow remained, smile on your face as your body curled up. Although you were tired you looked content, no worries.  Exactly how Andrew wished he could keep you. You were with him though, so that certainly wasn’t easy. He stooped, arms under your body as he pulled you into him. You groaned gently as he tipped you, head against his chest. Andrew gave pause again as you immediately sought the warmth of his body with a sleepy hum. His head gave an involuntary little shake as he carried you back to your bedroom. Depositing you back on your bed to curl up once more, Andrew stopped in the doorway only to make sure you had settled, before he closed the door on you and continued his tidying. *** Andrew thought about simply leaving, maybe it would have calmed down at home, maybe he could find somewhere else to lay low… But, although you’d talked this weekend you’d never quite broached the subject of why he was here. It wasn’t something important to you, he supposed, it wasn’t something you’d ask probably because usually you’d get a blunt answer. You didn’t need to know. And yet maybe this time you did. You were still sleeping when he re-entered your bedroom, and Andrew settled on the bed to watch you this time. However, your body didn’t stir, as it had when he’d arrived; you were relaxed and peaceful. Andrew knew you enough to know that you slept pretty light usually, but you seemed a lot deeper in this time around. He was right, you were exhausted. Through good things, at least. He placed his fingers gently to your neck, searching for the run of your pulse… when he found it Andrew applied increasing pressure, it changed under his fingertips; manipulated by his exertion on you – but when he did this, he could feel it stronger. That was your life under his fingertips; something that he could so easily take from you. And that thought almost scared him, you walked a razors edge - balanced constantly - and yet never seemed to let it faze you. You stood up to him without fear that he could turn around and kill you, even though Andrew knew how aware you were of that possibility. Andrew supposed you just never let it cross your mind. That you wouldn’t allow yourself to believe that your relationship could ever end that way. He would keep it to himself, of course, but Andrew had an uneasy feeling this relationship would only end when one of you was dead. Uncomfortable with the applied pressure, your body woke you; Andrew withdrew his hand fascinated with the way you took on more air as you awoke. It really would be that easy… You stretched slowly and turned to him, “Oh… my god. I-” you glanced to the clock, “…I’m sorry.” “You needed it.” Andrew gave a nonchalant shrug. “I thought you might leave.” “I considered it.” He was still being blunt, you weren’t all that sure Andrew would recognise the difference and let you down softly: “…I might need to overstay my welcome.” You pulled yourself up, taking his hand in yours, “You are always welcome here. What happened?” He would take his leave, if there wasn’t a reason he couldn’t return home. “You know.” “The same as before? So the police are after you?” You said it with an undertone of ‘I told you so’. “Appears that way.” “And you’re gonna tell me what it’s about?” That was a rare event. “…I told you.” He indicated, “But-” and shuffling over to his things he presented you with a large polished wooden box. You were immediately unsure you were going to like this, and opened the lid cautiously, only at the last second realising now your fingerprints were on this thing. ‘David would scream at me!’ You blew out a breath at the contents, unable to quite raise your eyes to his. The entire box was filled with drugs, of various types, surely you couldn’t name them all, but pills, needles and powder were all present in various shapes and colours. Spoils of war? The darker patches of brown you could see around the edges of the box were saying blood to you. You were silent for a long while, before you said the first thing you could really think of, “This... is a lot.” A lot for me. “I know.” You weren’t sure he let your sentence settle enough for him to really know. You became sad for a minute, fingers dancing across the surface of the box as you closed it, unsure of what to do. What you were supposed to do with this information now. Andrew continued, deciding to take the leap of: “I can’t be what you want me to be.” You raised your head, with a blink and looked at him; clear and true, dead in the eye: “I don’t want you to be anything.” You had never wanted him to be anything, you knew exactly who he was. “You might be what they say you are, Andrew.” Not that you would know, being so out of the loop. But you’d seen enough, in your opinion far too much, “But that is not ALL you are.” I know you... I. Know. You. You could think of nothing else than to gather him to you, you didn’t care if he reciprocated or not – it was something you needed to do. Even if it was only for yourself. You buried your head in his shoulder, lacing yours fingers with his. Andrew wasn’t looking at you, he wasn’t even really giving you anything back. But he wasn’t pulling away from you either – and that was just as important. You rubbed his arm affectionately, running up to his collar. Those blue eyes trailed to yours; and you held him there. Your voice was gentle, voicing the only thing that really mattered to you in this moment – his own safety. “Stay as long as you need, we’ll get through this, we always do.”
You always would.
This is my first time writing for OBX and in general posting fanfiction for the world to see. So apologies cause it’s definitely trash. I just want to say a BIG thank you for the few people here who encouraged me to write and have fun. Also a BIG thanks to my best friend and beta reader @john-benderr for hyping me up and always supporting me and my silly antics. Hope you guys don’t hate it, I tried my best. Let me know what you think???
I hesitated, got lost again
You saw me as wounded prey
I was a wreck, I was a bloody mess
And you couldn't look away
The Boneyard designated party destination here in the Outer Banks. The ultimate summer hang-out spot for some guaranteed wild moments. Even if you could point out every Kook, Touron, or us Pogues from the Cut, it was usually a good time. You never know what’s gonna happen on any given night, but you are sure to find people from all walks of life on this island congregating and partying. This is where you found yourself tonight, at a kegger ready to forget the responsibilities you held at least just for the night. The air was warm, and the party's noise swam through your ears, drowning out any reservation you usually have for yourself. You wanted to drown in this wave of overwhelming senses. The crackles from the fire, the music you swayed to, the sounds of people mingling and cheering, it swallowed you whole as you finished off another cup of bitter liquid. Was this your third or fourth cup from the keg? You don’t really remember anymore, but nor do you care. All that mattered is you were loosening the jaw you had tightened all day and was forgetting about the pressures you were facing at home. Nothing here mattered more than being free.
At this point, you had more than a buzz going on, but nothing was stopping your fun just yet. You clumsily weaved in and out of people working your way back to the keg ready for another round. You usually never drank alone, but tonight you weren’t in the mood for friends. At least that’s what you told yourself. In actuality, everyone you hit up to come tonight ghosted you or had some lame excuse as to why they couldn’t come. So you bravely chose to go as a one-woman show ready to conquer the party on your own. Never thinking that this night would lead you down a rabbit hole, you would never be prepared for. Stumbling forward lost in your thoughts, you slur your words to the tall and tan brown-haired boy with his button down shirt half-open handing out drinks from the keg.
“Hey man, hand me a refill, yeah?” Your sloppy words spill out of your mouth, letters all jumbled together barely coherent to the untrained ear.
The brown-haired boy looked at you a tinge of concern in his eyes as you were visibly wasted and clearly on your own tonight. You don’t know why it mattered. It’s not like everyone else wasn’t just as sloshed as you were.
“Uh, you sure you can handle another one, you look… well, you look pretty faded.”
The boy’s sentiment meant well, but it did nothing but annoy you. Why did everyone think they had to take care of you? Don’t they know you are beyond capable of doing so yourself? You work your ass off to keep everything in line, you can cut loose every once and awhile. Your inner voice of reason started to rear its ugly head, briefly reminding you how utterly irresponsible you were being. Listen to the boy, go home. You don’t need this. Stop acting so tough you aren’t that strong. It’s okay to feel the way you do. Quit while you’re ahead.
Quickly shoving the paranoia that began to rise in your chest, you knew if you could still feel the panic, then you weren’t drunk enough. Looking back at the boy, he was still eyeing you hesitantly when you finally sharpened your tongue and spoke again.
“Please, I know how to handle myself, pretty boy. I’m just living a little is all.” The attitude in your voice is far from pleasant.
Why were you so rude to the kind boy who clearly was watching out for your well-being? You should have listened to him. You shouldn’t have drunk this next cup. Maybe it was just the catalyst for the events that proceeded to perspire.
“Listen just… just gimme a refill, and I’ll be on my way. Don’t you worry your pretty little head about me. I can handle myself, I swear.” While you wanted to sound sure of yourself and maybe even a bit assertive, you could tell he didn’t take you seriously at all.
Your amplified brash persona needed work clearly as it fooled no one while you were blurring the lines of reality and fantasy with each drink you took. The boy looks at you, and the small line starting to form behind you. He sighs to the side as he fills a cup with the amber liquid, finally obliging to your commands to avoid further conflict. While handing you the cup, he speaks once more before you swivel on your heels.
“ Hey, listen... if you need someone to bring you home later or whatever, just come find me. The names John B.”
You stood there bewildered for a moment, unsure why someone would have concern over you. You were just a drunk partygoer at the beach for some fun, why did it seem like you were so different than the others around you? You could take care of yourself you always have, but regardless it was a kind gesture. You felt a pit in your gut for being rude to him moments ago. You couldn’t answer him, you just looked in his eyes and shook your head with a softened smile. Hoping he would understand, you appreciated his offer.
New drink in hand, you stumbled to a clear spot on the beach and plopped yourself down into the ground. Removing your sandals, you buried your toes in the soft sand closing your eyes, taking a swig of your drink. You felt the air on your skin as you leaned your head back. A new sense of calm washed over your body as you faded into the scenery. Sip by sip, you felt all your grievances escape your mind. Nothing would stop you from releasing your mind tonight even if it tried to crawl it’s way back up the hole you shoved it down. If each sip of liquid kept the beasts at bay for just a moment, the tranquility you felt was worth every bit of hell you’d wake up to tomorrow.
You broke me down
So you could take me out
Lost in thought, you lay your body back into the sand, staring up at the stars in a dazed state. Not noticing the pair of eyes that have been watching you for quite some time. From a distance, a seemingly put-together boy traced his eyes along your body. Staring at every curve, every feature, watching every action you took, he knew he had to talk to you. What better time to make a move when you were finally alone, away from the hustle and bustle of the kegger and laying out on the beach staring up at the sky.
He’s been keeping an eye on you all night, watching you get more faded with each sip of every drink you took. Alone at a party, you don’t see that often around here. Everyone always pairs up fast, even if you did arrive alone. You well, you were different. Something about you drew this clean-cut boy to you, and he wasn’t quite sure why. Something about your solitude reminded him of something he couldn’t quite place a finger on. Or maybe it was how he watched you spiral, falling with no safety net beneath you. He decided tonight he would be the safety net, he would catch you, even if you didn’t ask.
“Hello, beautiful…” A voice speaks out, startling you as your eyes crash open. A light chuckle passes the boy’s lips at your shock.
“Sorry, darling, didn’t mean to startle you.” He smiles, flashing his gorgeous white teeth at you. “I saw you over here alone and thought you could use some company.”
You blink a few times, trying to focus your blurred vision. A boy whose outline was hazy hovers over you, still smiling that bright smile. However, something felt underlying off about his sheer confidence. It wasn’t much longer until you put two and two together. The boy in the salmon-colored polo shirt and the khaki shorts that stared into your eyes was the infamous Kook prince himself, Rafe Cameron.
Any other day of the week, you’d loathe the boy in front of you, he always caused trouble for anyone who came from the Cut. He bathed in his arrogance and condescending words. So why has the prince of Kooks wandered his way over to you was the million-dollar question. One that you’re not sure you’ll ever get the answer to.
You lifted yourself into a sitting position and still have yet to speak a word to the polished boy in front of you. He speaks once more, trying to pry words from your mouth with every smooth sentence he spoke.
“Aw come now, a gorgeous face like that shouldn’t be scowling by her lonesome. Let me join you, they always say misery loves company.” The tip of the boy’s tongue brushes his top lip as a sly smirk pricks the side of his mouth.
You cock your eyebrow up, but still, motion for the boy to sit next to you. You didn’t think you were scowling, but the more you focused your mind, it became clear you weren’t suppressing any of the facial expressions you thought you were. The alcohol tore down your mask a little more than you would have liked.
You finally spoke to the boy poised next to you, studying the side of your face. “Who says I’m miserable, what if I just want the company?”
A chuckle passes his lips, he knew he had his hooks in you now. You turn and face Rafe, knowing full well that engaging with him is a terrible idea, but sometimes you craved a little danger in your life. Danger, like getting involved with a Kook named Rafe Cameron, would entail. If it distracted you even just for the night then why not go all out, he was looking rather charming tonight.
“Ah, well, aren’t we all a little miserable? I mean, no one’s perfect, right?” His breathy words cause the curiosity inside you to rise.
Was the always well kept and confident Rafe Cameron telling you he and his Kook lifestyle wasn’t perfect?
 It had to be the alcohol talking. It’s burning through your veins, making you actually consider speaking to someone so deviously pristine. Part of you believed it was to forget your troubles, the other part wondered what lies beneath the surface of the self-proclaimed prince. The more you gazed at him, the more sweetness you saw, but it wasn’t just that. There was something else about Rafe that you couldn’t quite put your finger on, but maybe you two had more in common than you thought.
“Please, Rafe, don’t give me your pity party parade. People like you don’t know real misery.”
“On the contrary little dove, he who you see before you has many layers, my rips, and tears, however, are patched up and easily hidden. Yours, however… well, yours are prominent and hanging by threads.”
Ouch. There is the haughty personality that you knew would peek out eventually. The sting of his words appeared on your face as he tries to console the wounds he inflicted.
“Everyone is tattered and worn little dove; it’s how you patch those tears that matter.”
“What are you getting at here, Rafe? Cause it seems to me, despite how sweet you think your sentiment is, you just don’t know how to truly console someone you see as lesser than you.” You want to keep your annoyance you have with Rafe, but with each comment and... and that nickname, he cracks your shell a little bit more.
“I don’t believe you are less than me beautiful, I just…” He sighs. “You’re right, I’m not good at consoling others.” He pauses briefly before he continues, knowing he has to bring himself down a level or he won’t get anywhere with you.
“How’s this then… how about instead of talking we just keep each other company? You don’t even have to speak to me if you don’t want to, though I’d prefer it if you did.” A small wink is shot your way.
“We aren’t just gonna sit here in silence Rafe, I don’t want that kind of company.”
“Well… then how about we ditch the sand and trade it in for something a little more… luxurious?”
There it was, the danger you felt. An offer from Rafe Cameron to go, god, knows where to do god knows what. It excited you, the unknown world of Rafe. You hesitated, unsure if you were ready to fully plunge yourself into forbidden territory, but there it was again. The panic rising in your chest, the thoughts and stress you wanted to escape creeping up again, threatening to attack if you let them linger too long. With that, you took your red cup and downed the remainder of its contents, pushing back your burdens once more.
Looking into Rafe’s eyes, there was a sparkle of chaos hidden deep within his soft gaze. It made you weak, it made you yearn for something more than this party at the Boneyard. With that, your decision was made. You gave him a smile and shook your head, trying to contain the eagerness you suddenly felt.
This is isolation
Kept in the dark and waiting
You're wearing the crown of kingdoms I created
Now I can't escape it
All of the light is fading
Rafe was up in seconds, extending his hand down to you; an almost menacing smirk overtook his face. As you clasp your hand into his and you’re brought to your feet, you stumble into his side, gripping tighter to keep your balance. Rafe was quick to slide his free arm around your waist, steadying you.
“I got you little dove, lean on me. I won’t let you fall.”
His sweet like honey words swallowed you now. A flush of red kisses your cheeks. Was it his promise to not let you fall or was it the nickname he spoke to you that made your head swirl more than the alcohol ever could, you weren’t sure, but you wished the feeling wouldn’t stop.
It wasn’t long before you were in Rafe’s car and driving who knows where, but what you did know was the excitement you felt was overwhelming your fear.
“Where are we going?”
“I’m going to show you what a real party is like, beautiful.”
The compliments he kept spewing towards you, a simple Pogue girl, was astonishing. You never believed a Kook like Rafe would see you as anything but a “dirty Pogue.”
“Can I ask a question?” You turn your head towards the boy.
“Of course, little dove. Anything.” He places his free hand on your bare thigh and a light squeeze follows it.
The shiver sent down your spine, tantalized your thoughts. You no longer could think straight. He glances over to you, a smirk once more gracing his lips.
“Why little dove? I- I mean, why are you calling me that?”
“Well, I thought that was obvious, darling? You know my name, but I still have yet to learn yours.”
Your face drops at the realization that you never indeed introduced yourself to Rafe. Of course, you knew who he was, everyone knew who he was, but you? You were no one. Of course, he didn’t know your name.
“O-oh my god, I’m sorry I didn’t even realize I didn’t... uhh,” you chuckle nervously at your idiocy. “The names (Y/N).” You spit out between nervous breaths and awkward giggles. The alcohol was still strong in your system.
A light, almost innocent laugh passes his lips, looking over to you. “It’s okay (Y/N), I don’t mind giving a beautiful girl a nickname that suits her.” He winks. “In fact, I think you’re stuck with little dove from now on… if you don’t mind, of course.”
You hadn’t realized the car had come to a stop in front of a vast mansion. The architecture was beautiful and symmetric with white pillars on the outside. Perfectly kept flowered hedges and trimmed grass graces the front yard. It was like a picture, pristine and undamaged.
“I-I don’t mind no… not at all.” You smile sheepishly towards the boy as he turns the key and shuts the ignition off.
“Well, here we are… are you ready for a real party?” He asks, stepping out and quickly meeting you at the passenger side. Opening the door, he offers you his hand once more.
Taking his hand, you lean once more on his side, steadying your balance. Unsure where the night is about to guide you. Despite the pristine image outside the house once in the door, the whole feeling has changed. There were Kooks everywhere, and to say you felt a little out of place was an understatement. Loud music blared through the open rooms filled with people drinking, smoking, laughing, and smiling. Much like at the Boneyard, but the atmosphere was entirely different.
Rafe sensed your new-found hesitation, but he wasn’t about to let you slip away. Not when he finally had you where he wanted. Pulling you closer to his side, he whispers into your ear—his warm breath causing you to gasp slightly at his now lower smooth tone.
“Relax… you can trust me.”
All you could do was shake your head. You weren't quite sure how this boy made you so weak at the knees, but you wanted to believe him, so you did.
He paraded you through the party, introducing you to the skeptical Kooks whose eyeballs felt like daggers in your chest. Their disdain and judgment of you unspoken with you wrapped around Rafe’s side.
Finally, on the last stop of the tour de la Cameron, he brought you through a room that outlooked towards the pool area. He brings you up towards a smaller group of people. Two of which you recognized as Rafe’s loyal posse. Topper and Kelce.
“Hey what’s up my man, where have you been all night?”
They exchange greetings and eyeball his new hip attachment IE you. They look over to Rafe with enigmatic smiles spread across their face, but before they could say anything to you, the boy spoke.
“Boys this is (Y/N), she came to experience what real luxury is like. So I expect her to be treated like the best guest of honor she is.”
Topper and Kelce share a glance and shrug off the ideas of Rafe, bringing a Pogue to their side of the island. They figured he had other intentions behind his new side piece.
“Right well welcome (Y/N) I hope you’re ready for some real fun.” The boys gleamed their fakest grins towards you.
Rafe pulls you over and sits you down next to him, a clear glass table in front of you. The other two boys sit across from you. After a seemingly relaxed conversation, he claps his hands together and lets out an excited laugh.
“Alright, boys, the real fun begins.” Looking over to you, he releases your hand that you’ve been holding and pulls out a small plastic baggy with a white substance inside. He makes quick work of the substance cutting out four clean and tight lines onto the table. Rolling a dollar bill into a cylinder, he passes it over to Kelce.
The muscular boy leans towards the table cylinder in hand against one nostril while he plugs the other. In one swift movement, the white powder was gone, and he passed the bill over to Topper. He quickly follows suit. Both the boys cheer out a sudden burst of euphoria that rattles their bodies. Looking on to Rafe as he was up next.
You pulled at his arm in shock at the site you’re seeing unravel in front of your eyes. He could see the worry written all over you.
“Don’t worry darling, a little blow never hurt anyone.” He pats your head, running his hand down your hair, and leans over and plants a kiss onto your cheek.
The sudden physical affection made you swoon as you bite your lower lip, still looking at him with concern in your eyes.
“I-I don’t know about this, Rafe.”
“Shhh, just watch it’ll be fine.”
He lowers his abdomen down with haste cleaner and faster than the previous boys; the powder is gone. Almost as if he’s done this regularly. Maybe Rafe Cameron wasn’t lying to you earlier. Perhaps he really was hiding an unseen misery. Your heart suddenly ached for the boy as he leaned up and pinched his nostrils a few times, sniffing back the remnants of the content he just consumed.
“It’s your turn beautiful. This will clear out all that misery from earlier, I promise.” He extends the rolled-up bill to you, his eyes darting down your body, trying to read your response.
You don’t speak. You just stare at him, and the boys across from you obnoxiously chuckle.
“Come on (Y/N) you’re a Pogue you should be used to this shit on the Cut.”
“Where’s your courage, girl?”
The boys tease as Rafe shoots them a glare, silencing them immediately. You reach out your hand shakily towards the rolled-up bill. Questioning why you’re even considering this. His words from earlier echo in your head, ‘you can trust me.’
“It’s easy, I promise I’ll even help you. Trust me, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world. Once you’re there, the real party begins.”
“I-I’m scared.” You whisper to Rafe as he pulls you closer.
“No reason to be scared sweetheart, I got you. Remember, I won’t let you fall.” His hand cups the side of your face. His eyes looking deep into yours so soft and sweet as he's gently stroking your cheek with his thumb.
You take a deep breath, reminding yourself you wanted to live a little. You wanted this freedom, this danger. So it was now or never. You leaned down as Rafe bends to help you. The boy pressed one of your nostrils closed and instructed you to snort in fast and move down the line. You shake your head, confirming to him you were ready.
“Come on, little dove… let’s fly.” These were the last words you remember hearing as you snorted your first line of blow. Rafe cooing to you as you faded out.
This isn't trust
This is manipulation
