something very horrifying about the concept of Thor but not Loki being told that Loki is Jotun when the brothers are old enough to understand the importance of the secret
#so he gets to watch Loki be unfavoured or try to do things and HE KNOWS WHY#but Thor can't SAY anything about it bc he's not supposed to#and Thor obviously has no way to reconcile that Loki is Jotun which means Jotun can't possibly be plain monsters#so Thor and Loki both keep badmouthing the frost giants#Thor gets to watch Loki hate on the frost giants while knowing Loki is one and idk something about that doesn't sit right with him#Thor basically gets to watch Loki fail at things and to Thor it's like 'oh yeah of course he's not as good or doesn't fit in'#he gets to watch and learn bad war stories and that's just how they learn about how horrible the Jotnar are#and i think occasionally Thor would stop to really process that fact#but most of the time Thor is just like. yeah that's a thing but it's not like it matters#even tho Loki being Jotun totally IS an important thing#he's just used to ignoring that it's not since he'd been told pretty far back#and it was apparently never relevant to their parents to inform Loki so *shrug*#ALSO ALSO Loki finding out so long after and being devastated and ''they told you of my parentage did they not?''#but make it Thor 1#make it happen when Loki goes to Earth to visit Thor too hjsvfdsh#Loki: I have reason to believe I'm not related to any of you by blood.#Thor: uh well that'd be a little hard wouldn't it#Loki finds out that Thor knew he was adopted/Jotun before him too#lets get that breakdown moving along

i think. maybe all things considered amir might be the most normal hex member, right next to aoi

#Helena diaz is responsible for so much of Eddie’s issues#she is a massive part of the reason Shannon left the first time#the way she spoke at ramons retirement party just reenforced things#she is the matriarch and rules with an iron will#it is ultimately down fo her that Eddie was forced to grow up too fast - was forced into a heteronormative behaviour pattern#she is the reason he didn’t get to figure out who he really is and that’s what he’s paying for now#Ramon just went along with her - that has been shown on multiple occasions - he is like Phillip buckley - a weak man who goes along with his#wife for a quiet life#so yeah - Helena (and Ramon) showing up in 7x10 - perhaps to take Chris back to Texas for the summer#feels very intentional to me - Eddie dealt with his issues around one parent - now in order to let go of Shannon and move forward he needs#to deal with the other#gonna be so good#it’s also worth pointing out that we see a far more soft and vulnerable Eddie with abuela and Pepa than with Helena - perhaps the contrast#will be explored - Helena not liking abuela or Pepa that much because she thinks they make him soft etc - would be juicy too#(can you tell I’m not a Helena diaz fan!!)#911 spoilers#eddie diaz#911 speculation#911 abc

It's not that she's not right but, ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN IS DYING IN FRONT OF YOU, AND THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY???
Miss Melanie did the absolute best she could for those kids, no doubt. We've only gotten to see a handful even speak, and they all have beautiful hearts. But she played a role in this problem; in Wolfwood's spinoff chapter, we see her give a teeny tiny Nicholas a wholeass baby to take care of on his own. Adult Wolfwood hasn't even had a chance to come into his own and unlearn some of his childhood trauma aside from a few months of traveling with Vash, which was a hell of a time as it was.
I know Nightow's probably mainly using her as a narrative mouthpiece right now, but it's always irked me that Wolfwood's mother figure chooses to scold him now, when it doesn't even matter anymore because he's dying. Especially when she's made some fuck-ups along the way and is part of the problem, even if she had no choice with some many kids to look after. He now has to die with the memory of her being disappointed by him fresh in his brain.

#i finally did one of my late essays#20% docked on it but the pass mark is 40/100 so we are Good#even if i get a 50 i'm fine and surely this is at least a 50#like it cannot be worse than the last thing i handed in and that was 50-55#anyway yeah i did it!! yippee!!!#so i'm going to go enjoy my well-deserved 10 hours of sleep#see you a 6pm! #i will warn you only once: tsc spoilers#literally just finished it as i am drafting this its 5am where i live#so you may be subjected to some nonsense#that all being said i have thoughts.and feelings#the kevin was lovely and tasted delicious! jean defending him at every turn even when he swears to hell and back he'll kick his ass#the kevjean was surprising i was only half expecting that#the dog metaphors i have to say i need this one cashed in. nora run me my check#im joking of course dont quote me on it#jean taking kevins promise to the end and living on it is seriously so. well.#'be careful with him' 'take kevin's name out of your ignorant mouth' 'you promised me'#also kevin getting called the court's queen had me tender and on my back oml#jean's relationship with the trojans is sweet and he is very interesting and complicated#a character with many moving parts im sure#there were a few things i did not care for#namely jeremy and the trojans felt remarkably flat to me bar lucas (by far the most interesting) and catalina on occasion#i didnt quite enjoy jeremy's pov and felt like he spent perhaps way too much time worrying over jean? if that makes sense#i wish he had some more complexity to him or really anything to catch a hook on#all we know is hes attractive and smiley and gets along terribly with his family#so much of his character is sucked out by jean he didnt feel like much more than a plot device to me#which i wouldnt mind if jeremy wasnt the literal main character alongside jean#i was living for everything jean thought but had to drag myself through jeremy's pov if im honest#uuuuh what else. neil! funny. deranged. i have to love him#andrew couldnt give less of a fuck about jean which is funny as all fuck#two bugs placed in the same habitat ignoring each other#the thing with elodie i thought was complicated. i wish we knew some more about her or that shed been mentioned a little earlier#but im assuming thats a topic to be revisited#uuuuuuuh yeah so thats most of it. i think my first thought and the one that sticked out the most to me is that the book felt remarkably#pedestrian#not necessarily in a bad way#it lacked to me one of the main appeals of aftg which were the numerous interesting side characters
