1. What was your first OTP? 

I think the first thing I ever shipped as in, wanted together, was Arnold/Helga from Hey Arnold! as a kid lol. But the first ship I did fandom things for (as in, read fic for them and that kind of stuff) was Derek/Chloe from the Darkest Powers series.

2. What is your current OTP?

At the moment it's definitely Ian/Mickey from Shameless. But it'll probably change to Eve/Villanelle when Killing Eve comes back on.

3. Do you have any OT3/OT+ ships? What are your favorites?

Not any hardcore ones no. I'm monogamous and therefore I have a very monogamous view on things when it comes to shipping. Most of the time when I "ship" OT3's it's because I love all three characters and want them to be happy. (Ex: Eleanor/Max/Anne from Black Sails)

I guess the only OT3 I actually ship in a sense where I think it's meant to be an OT3 is Miguel/Tulio/Chel from The Road to El Dorado. Because come on, that was pretty much canon. Miguel and Tulio were raging bisexuals who were in love with each other and with Chel.

4. What is/are your favorite trope(s)?

Enemies-to-friends-to-lovers is my JAM. I love ships where I can look at their very first scene together and I think "wow who would have thought????" (Gallavich is a perfect example of this btw)

I also really love opposites attract and childhood friends to lovers.

5. What is/are your least favorite trope(s)?

Evil man is only redeemed because of his "love" for a woman. I love redemption arcs but they have to be well done and that ain't it lol.

I'm also not usually into ships that start off as affairs. (Where one or both of the characters are cheating on their current significant other with each other). Unless the character(s) they're cheating on is/are awful, I always feel too bad for them.

6. Do you have a certain kind of ship you’re more attracted to?

Not really tbh. I have tropes that I definitely enjoy (see above) but I've shipped a wide variety of different kinds of pairings.

7. Are most of your ships “pure” or “problematic”?

I think I have a good mixture of both kinds? There's been times where I thought a ship was pure but other people in fandom circles find some sort of reason to tear into them. (See: Katniss/Peeta from The Hunger Games)

8. Who is the most shippable person you can think of?

Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender. My main OTP for him is obviously Zuko/Katara but I see the appeal of a bunch of his other ships as well. Also Bonnie from The Vampire Diaries.

9. Are there any fandoms you don’t have any ships for?

Stranger Things. I'm all about the platonic relationships on that show.

10. Do characters have to have canon interactions for you to ship them?

I think so, yeah. I can't think of anything I've shipped where the characters didn't directly interact with each other at least once.

11. What makes a great ship in your own opinion?

When you get the essence that they just compliment and complete each other.

12. What drives you away from a ship?

When they are rushed. If I feel like a ship is forced or happened too fast, it gets completely ruined for me.

13. Is there anything you ship but refuse to interact with the community for?

Ngl this was the Gallavich fandom for a while until I found my own little circle lol

14. Has a fanbase ever made you ship or not ship something? Why?

Bellamy/Clarke from The 100. (As in, I stopped shipping them). This was a mixture of the fanbase and just losing interest in the show in general though. But members of the B*llarke fandom showing their homophobic asses when Clarke/Lexa happened definitely didn't help.

15. Do you like/participate in ship wars? Why or why not?

I don't like them and try to avoid them. The only time I actively participated in ship wars was during my TVD days lol. Luckily there aren't really any ship wars in the Shameless or Killing Eve fandom because everyone ships Gallavich and Villaneve. I just think it's a waste of time. I'd rather debate over more interesting things.

16. Are there any ships you just can’t/don’t understand? What are they?

The only example I can think of is Klaus/Caroline from TVD. Or rather, I never understood why they were so popular. That was the most forced shit I've ever seen and they had little to no substance lol. Most of the time I do understand ships, even if I hate them.

17. Are there any popular ships that you just don’t like? What are they?

Rey/Kylo. Damon/Elena. Klaus/Caroline. Spike/Buffy. Jon/Dany and Jon/Sansa. Those are all the super big ones I think.

18. What is your favorite unpopular ship?

Once upon a time I would have said Finn/Rey from Star Wars but they were ruined for me. I still love TFA! Finnrey though.

Why not all?

They both have their plus and minuses. With bigger fanbases, you have more fan content to enjoy. But smaller fandoms seem cozier and as someone who is shy, it's kind of easier for me to participate in smaller fandoms. So idk.

21. Have you ever received hate for a ship you liked? 

That time someone called me a Zutara shipper as an insult over a Killing Eve post lol. That was wild.

Nope don't think so. If I would be against something going canon, I'm probably not going to ship it at all.

Jaime/Brienne from Game of Thrones lmao. I would have rather they were never canon if it was just gonna lead to that. I still have hope that they'll play out better in the books but it's unlikely at this point that GRRM will even finish them.

Define dead. Like not active anymore? I have a lot of old school book OTP's with fandoms that are now dead. Derek/Chloe from Darkest Powers. Adrian/Sydney from Bloodlines. Raffe/Penryn from Angelfall. And Damon/Bonnie from the TVD books, which was the first ship I ever write fic for actually lol. And I wrote a bunch.

I don't mind them if they're used sparingly. I can't usually get into fics where the OC's are one of the main focuses though.

ah well in regards to your theme, usually the theme makers are okay with minor changes (sometimes major ones too) as long as you keep the credit and the changes are for personal use (as opposed to commercial use/redistribution, etc). just to be sure, you can just check their rules. they usually have that whole page/pop up or will simply include it in their theme code.

hmm what do you mean by boxes for previews? i don’t think i’ve ever seen such as thing. it sounds interesting, though. are they previews for like posts or…?

I was tagged a while back by @allthemarvelbabies​, but I’ve been out of town for a while, so I’m just getting around to it. This is really long, so I’m putting it under a cut so I don’t clog up everyone’s dashes.

This definitely isn’t my usual kind of post for this blog either, but here we go!

1. What is your favorite genres as in books, movies, music, TV shows, etc.? Why?

I’m a sucker for a good fantasy, sci-fi, or action movie, but I also enjoy documentaries and rom-coms and pretty much anything that isn’t horror (I’ll only watch horror movies if they involve either of my two favorite boys; I’ve watched a lot of dumb stuff for them, lol). I tend towards fantasy novels, which started with the Eragon series when I was like 8 and progressed to Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings. As for TV shows, I definitely stick with cop shows a lot. Outside of SPN, I watch a lot of stuff like Burn Notice and Person of Interest and Hawaii Five-0, so I would say cop-shows-with-a-twist. As for music, I grew up on country and it’s my go-to genre no matter what.

2. What is your favorite movie(s)? Why?

I love the LOTR and Harry Potter movies, but the top of my list will forever be the original Jurassic Park, a.k.a. the movie that made me realize all I want to do with my live is make movies.

3. What is your favorite TV show(s)? Why?

Well, obviously Supernatural, but I enjoy many others. I particularly love Burn Notice and Person of Interest, and I’ve been on a Hawaii Five-0 kick lately.

4. What is your favorite music artist(s)/band(s)? Why?

I love Louden Swain and Jason Manns, but I grew up listening to Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, etc.

5. What is your favorite book(s)? Why?

Obviously HP and LOTR, but I also really love Sherlock Holmes, the Giver quartet, the Hourglass Door trilogy, and I’m currently reading a really good book called The Confidence Game.

6. Who are/is your favorite famous person/people living or dead (can be celebrities, scientists, politicians, etc.)? Why?

Well, pretty much 99% of the Supernatural cast is on my list of favorite people, with one Jared Padalecki at the top (in case you hadn’t figured that out).

7. What is your favorite style/genre of arts/crafts? Why?

I crochet. Is that what this question is about? Cos I love to crochet. I’m working on a fringed scarf right now and my most recent big project was a mermaid tail blanket for @books-and-icecream​ for Christmas.

8. What is/are your talent(s) if you have any?

Well, I sing and play the piano, and sometimes I draw. I’ve been practicing with watercolor pencils lately. Check out @thelittleredwhocouldart if you’re interested.

9. What is your favorite time of year? Why?

FALL. I fucking love fall. It’s the best. The temperature is perfect. I live in Utah, so the mountains change colors and it’s amazing.

10. Do you like animals and nature? Why?

Fuck yeah. Animals and nature are the best. We don’t deserve either, imo.

11. If you like animals and nature, what kind of animals and landscapes do you like? Why?

I love elephants, manta rays, and sharks. Especially sharks. Just ask my friends. Sharks are my jam. As for landscapes, I’m a big fan of forests and mountains.

12. What lessons do you think humanity can learn from nature and animals? Why?

I’m sure this is supposed to be a deep question, but my dad likes to talk about how people who were stranded in the wilderness often say they survived by watching the birds. If the bird can eat it, then it’s generally safe for people to eat. Birds are also known for being very picky. If the fruit they like isn’t ripe, they will wait until it is. Same with other animals like monkeys. In addition to this, carnivores know the best hunting spots, especially animals that eat fish. They know where the fish gather.

13. What do you think is humanities biggest contribution(s) to the world? Why?

To the planet? Global warming, a hole in the ozone, pollution. Sorry, that’s negative. We’ve also learned how to harness stuff like the sun and the wind to create electricity, which is pretty damn cool.

14. What do you think is humanities greatest flaw(s)? Why?

We’re never satisfied. We’re constantly looking for the next best thing, whether that’s technology or a place or whatever. As a result, we often do a lot of harm to ourselves, those around us, and our environment trying for whatever is better than what we have.

15. What do you think the future holds for humanity? Why?

Hopefully something good, but war is also a possibility with the way our current president treats people.

16. Do you have any pets? If yes, what kind? If no, would you like some?

Yes! My family has a dog. His name is Titus. If you go to my main blog, @thelittleredwhocould​, and search for “titus” there should be some pictures. He’s adorable and I love him.

I live in Utah, in the Salt Lake Valley.

My sexuality is a mess, lol. I’m bi, but also demi-sexual and gray-romantic.

I’m a melting pot of a long list of Northern European countries and Native American (though I don’t really look the latter).

28. What is your religion if you have one (if you feel comfortable sharing)?

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS to members, but more commonly known as Mormons). I’m still on the church records, but I consider myself agnostic. I have nothing against the church and they do a lot of good stuff, organized religion just isn’t for me.

29. What do you think is worth fighting for in life?

Love, freedom, family, life.

30. Do you come from a big family?

Pretty big. Medium by Utah standards, but big by the standards of anyone else in my experience. There are six kids (one stillborn, but she still counts), so a total of eight people, not counting my extended family. My mom’s side is bigger, mostly because my great grandparents were known for kinda adopting anyone and everyone.

31. Do you have a lot of friends online/offline?

A decent amount, I’d say, but my parents think I need more.

32. Do you have a good support network from friends and family?

I think so. They’re pretty good to me.

33. What do you do for a living (if you feel comfortable sharing)?

I’m a full time student, but I have a part time job at a Utah-based smoothie company similar to Jamba Juice except better.

34. What are your goal(s) in life or have you met your goal(s) in life?

I want to become a 1st Assistant Director and hopefully work on a lot of different films. I would also like to get married someday, but that’s not a priority and it’s not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen.

Trust and communication.

I’m definitely partial to brown hair.

40. What is your favorite body shape(s) for a male/female?

I definitely prefer a physically fit man. He doesn’t have to have washboard abs (though I would never complain if he did and a beer belly is an instant turn-off), but a guy who takes care of himself physically (like Jensen, for example. He doesn’t have Jared’s abs and he never has, but he keeps himself in good condition because he knows how to treat his body right). Oh, and he has to be taller than me, even if it’s only by a little bit. As for women, what I like tends to vary. I’m partial to smaller breasts (always have been), but that’s the only real set-in-stone thing that comes to mind. Again, though, I like a lady who takes good care of her body. She doesn’t have to be an Olympic athlete and super skinny or whatever, just conscious of her health and fitness. Women in general just make me happy.

41. What is the most attractive physical feature that you find in a male/female?

Backs. When a guys has good back muscles, I melt. And womens’ backs. Ugh. That line down the middle just kills me.

42. What is the most attractive feature other than physical that you find in a male/female?

I love a partner who is smart and passionate.

43. What is the most unattractive feature other than physical that you find in a male /female (this excludes body shape)?

Lack of hygiene is an instant dealbreaker. Also, lack of an open mind.

Well, I think it’s pretty self explanatory, lol, but it’s 100% Jared Padalecki.
