I planned to share these on the main blog, but I haven't actually shared any art anywhere yet, and I think I need to chill a little on the main blog, lol.

I actually have a few old Smile Pretty Cure artworks and sketches that never went anywhere, but I couldn't possibly search for them all now. Besides, some might not be as pretty to look at or everyone's cup of tea.

For some context about the images that are about below: Yayoi Kise is a Sun Wukong fan, according to the movie! I had this bright idea to transport her to the Lego Monkie Kid world where she gets to meet a version of Sun Wukong. Admittedly, I don't know if she would have seen the characters as Legos or not... but I did make sketches of her with a block shaped head! Just to fit the style of the show. I thought it would have been fun.

Here are more "complete" drawings of LMK characters, plus my potential sona in the top right! Poor Red Son has no arms. Sorry, I gave up. At one point, I wanted to do an AU where Mei was playing Disney's Mulan! Alas, I dropped that, too. The last image was supposed to be the designs for a story about the Spider Queen and Sun Wukong having a fling of sorts prior to the events in the series. With the original number of sisters from Journey to The West. Scrap scrap scrap, I didn't do anything.

Generally speaking, I am pleased with these! Feels good to know I had some effort being made at some point before I stopped drawing for a while..

Finished inking some town drawings over the last few weeks, and just finally scanned them today.

Pen and ink. Posted in order.

I think I like the last drawing more than the others. I was on a new dose of anti-depressant meds, and my attention to detail was not as careful as I usually am.

Redrawing the first 2 is what I would like to do, but redoing all that detail....*sighs*

I'm sharing a little thing that I made a couple of months or so back. As usual, it spawned from a silly little idea in my head.

When I tell you I was flabbergasted to find out, Shigaraki was 20 at the start of the series. TWENTY!!! Already, so much was happening!!

I was like, no way, Sir, you a baby ���

This holds no importance other than me thinking this first sketch was funny. There's a halo thing going on.

Exposing myself for the weirdo I am.

I'm tempted to point out all the issues about the inconsistent style and lack of proper anatomy or backgrounds. However, I was not using any reference, just my brain and pushing through fatigue. There was no set deadline, but naturally, I couldn't let myself rest and complete the second page today. 🥱

This, plus another small comic I made, are the only ones I've ever properly done, and I still don't think this is as nice as I envisioned it. Although it's a true testament of how utterly lost in my thoughts I can be, and the fake scenarios I cook up are endless. Rest assured, I'm not really speaking out loud to thin air–if that was a concern–I merely think.

I can't say to what extent other creators do this to, but I hope this isn't too out there 😂🙃🙏. Also regarding the characters, it's...well there are MUCH more that come up that don't appear here, but as one can clearly see, I couldn't possibly fit them all; much less make them look good.

Was this too personal? Maybe. I can't say. It will be a while before the next art post.
